Wucai Beach, the tourist service center is about one kilometer away from the beach. You can choose to walk or take a sightseeing bus (10 yuan/person). I took the sightseeing bus because I was with my elderly and children. It is not far at all and you can walk. But Wucai is a bit unworthy of its name. I didn't see it at all. But the sea is shallow, and the children like to pick up small boros and don't want to walk after playing.

Originally named Zhima Beach, it is famous for the many small black stones like sesame on the beach. Zhima Beach is particularly beautiful after the tide recedes. The huge volcanic rocks are layered one after another, which are particularly magnificent under the sunlight. Large areas of volcanic lava are exposed, which are particularly wide. Although the sea water has receded in many places, large areas of puddles of water are still left.

Even Ms. Hua, who didn't do much travel planning, said that Wucai Beach looked very beautiful, but the weather never cleared up, so the entire beach scenery was disappointing.

You can't swim at Wucai Beach. What's more interesting is the mossy reefs and the coast washed by the sea.

However, compared with other beaches, the scenery here is richer, and it feels like the scenery of all the attractions of Weizhou Island is gathered here.

The rocks at Wucai Beach are clearly layered and indeed beautiful, but the weather really determines what kind of scenery you can see at the beach. If it’s not a sunny day, don’t even think about seeing the blue sea and blue sky.

When you arrive at Wucai Beach, you will find that the rocks corroded by sea water not only have various shapes, but are also colorful because they are covered with green moss and red algae, hence the name Wucai Beach.

At low tide, the sea erosion platform is exposed. If the sun shines down, the puddles between the rocks reflect colorful colors, like a palette between heaven and earth. But unfortunately it was cloudy these few days and I didn't get to see the most beautiful colors.



The black sand is spread out like sesame seeds, the volcanic lava is stacked layer by layer, and the sea cliffs and sea caves complement each other, telling the dialogue between ancient volcanoes and waves.



This is a perfect place for sunrise. With the morning light just breaking, where the sea and sky meet, the rays of light dance with the rocks. At this moment, time stops. However... it’s cloudy today, so I didn’t see the sunrise again😂.

This beach has no sand, but all kinds of sea erosion platforms and cliffs, which is something I have never seen before and is also a unique sight. As the sun gradually rises, the rocks, mosses, and puddles on the beach do show colorful changes, which is worthy of its name.

If you come here when the weather is fine and the sun is shining, you will see the layers of colors of the volcanic rocks flashing in multiple colors under the sunlight, combined with the blue sky and white clouds reflected in the puddles and the white waves rolling up against the rocks in the distance. There is a regular parking lot at the entrance of Wucai Beach Scenic Area, free of charge. It takes a long walk from the entrance to the inside. It seems that you can take a battery car. We try not to take a car if we can walk. The reefs of Wucai Beach are very unique. Some places on the stone beach have neat edges, just like they have been artificially processed. It is amazing, but the stone beach is very slippery, be careful! ! ! ! And if you don’t have good eyesight, it’s easy to step into a puddle.

The sunrise at Wucai Beach is very beautiful. It’s the first time I’ve seen the sunrise at the seaside.

From time to time, I heard screams from people slipping around me, which made people feel scared. Middle-aged and elderly people like me have to be more cautious. Step by step, step by step, and then move. The sky began to turn blue, and the sun was still hiding behind the thick clouds, leaving only a curved golden line. I knew that I had missed the spectacular scene of it jumping out of the sea. There are always some beautiful things in the world that happen inadvertently. Just when we turned away in despair, the sun finally broke free from the shackles of the clouds and rose slowly. I almost held my breath, recording a video with my mobile phone while staring at the process of its rising. God was kind to us and we didn't miss this beautiful visual feast.

At night, I went to Wucai Beach at the door with a flashlight to pick up crabs. The owner of the B&B said that the crabs I caught were relatively large and could be used to make porridge.

In August, we arrived at Wucai Beach a little after five in the morning. The clouds were thick, so we didn’t see the perfect sunrise, but it was already very spectacular and I loved it.

Since the homestay we stayed in was right at Wucai Beach, with a blue sea behind it, when the beautiful Wucai Beach appeared in front of us, everyone couldn't help but exclaimed, a red sun began to appear on the sea in the distance, rising slowly, and under the sunlight, the various stones on the beach reflected a variety of colors, which was very beautiful. The air in the morning felt a little salty, very comfortable.

The highlight is the uncanny workmanship of nature and the rocks with various patterns. It is highly recommended and the most interesting attraction on the island.

To be honest, Wucai Beach is a bit remote. We learned our lesson and stopped the car far away and walked into the scenic area.

If there are many pools, it will reflect various colors like mirrors, so it is called Wucai Beach, but I can only see various ditches and green moss. There are also various small crabs and seaweed plants in the small pools. Wucai Beach is also the best spot to watch the sunrise. The reason why we chose to live on the east coast this time was to see the sunrise. However, we waited for two days and it was foggy all the time, so we missed the sunrise tour of Wucai Beach. The deeper we went, the taller and straighter the shrubs on the sea cliffs grew. They are really tenacious plants. The end of the sea trench is the sea. People standing in the deep sea in the distance form a scenic line. The caves in the sea trench are the natural homes of creatures, and you can catch a lot of small crabs and shells.

A bunch of locals blocked the road at the entrance of Wucai Beach early in the morning to collect fees... 5 yuan for parking and 5 yuan for entering the scenic area... All the good mood was swept away by the locals...
