Of course, you can also stay in a hotel near the observation deck. Generally, hotels have observation decks, and the view from the hotel is the same as that from the public observation deck.

You can learn a lot about the Miao people in the museum. It would be better if you have a guide to visit with you. There is a small road next to the museum where you can see the more primitive stilt houses. You can find the century-old stilt houses, Guzangtou and Huoluotou, but their doors are all closed and you can only see them from the outside. The road is up and down, and some of the buildings are still under renovation, so it is not easy to walk. I don’t recommend it.

Ga Ge Lane is not big, and it offers printing, dyeing and embroidery experiences.

There are terraced fields in the rural scenery, but the viewing effect is definitely not comparable to the Longji Terraces in Guilin, so we returned not long after walking.

There are still a lot of food in the Miao Village. There is a snack street and a barbecue street. But the varieties are generally similar, such as sausage, glutinous rice cake, black pork, etc.

There are bars in Miao Village, but not many, and they are noisy at night. I live near the viewing platform, and I can hear the singing coming from the bar down the mountain. If you live down the mountain, it will probably be even noisier.

When you come here, you have to see their uniqueness. In fact, it is inseparable from the climate here, with a long rainy season, rich vegetation, and many insects, fish, birds, and animals.



Tickets: 65 yuan (including sightseeing bus). Residents of the cities that have helped the city are exempt from tickets, but they still need to buy the sightseeing bus for ￥20.00.



Transportation - It is true that transportation is inconvenient in the mountains; take the high-speed rail to Kaili, and then take a bus to Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village (North Gate). Please note that there are not many buses a day; we took a taxi from Kaili, Didi Taxi cost about ￥110, and we had to pay the highway fee ourselves, ￥15.00.



Or you can go to Leishan first and then take a bus from Leishan to Xijiang, which is too troublesome.



Scenery - The scenery here is really good, the main attractions are probably the two streets + Fengyu Bridge (the night view will be more beautiful, and the lights of thousands of houses are just like this)

The day we arrived, the weather was gloomy. We lost our ID cards, which was really heartbreaking. Then we went to the police station here, and they were all uncles. They were all uncles. I came to Guizhou by car. The weather suddenly changed. I put on all my thick clothes, but it was still cold. I finally arrived at the "world's largest" Qianhu Miao Village. Parking was very troublesome. I finally found a parking place at the west gate. The first feeling when I got off the car was cold. The grass on the roadside was covered with fog and ice. I followed the instructions and bought tickets. Because it was the off-season, the ticket price was half price. We bought a package ticket including tickets, bus tickets, and long street banquet, which cost 103 in total. I took a car at the entrance of the scenic area. After getting off the car, I walked another 300 meters to reach the viewing platform. I have to admit that it looked very beautiful. Then I took another car to the entrance of the village, and then I walked all the way. From the beginning of entering the village, it was full of commercial atmosphere. The village was full of inns and hotels. There were all kinds of things on both sides of the village. Because I am from Yunnan, I feel that these are all the same. The sausages, bacon, and stinky tofu (hairy tofu) are all the same. It was very boring to keep turning around, and the feeling was cold and frozen. Finally we arrived at the Changjie Feast. As soon as we went upstairs, we felt cheated. It was helpless. The table was small, but it had to seat 8 people. The dishes were also very bad, especially the sour soup fish, which was completely different from what we ate outside. It was unpalatable! However, the "Mountain and Flowing Water" Miao girl's toast was worth seeing. In the end, we couldn't stand the cold, so we just ate a few bites and went back. It got dark quickly and the fog rose immediately. Alas, the experience was not very good. It is recommended to go in summer, forget about winter. The half-price ticket is indeed a half-price experience!

Take the sightseeing bus up the mountain, the journey takes about 5-6 minutes. In fact, it is not very strenuous to walk up. The road up the mountain is not steep. And after our practice of hiking up the mountain on the second day, it is proved that you don’t have to go to the viewing platform on the top of the mountain to see the scenery of the entire Miao village. There are too many people on the viewing platform, whether it is day or night, all heads are full. Most tourists come to Qianhu Miao Village just to see the beautiful night scenery of Miao Village at the viewing platform at night. This is also the reason why many people choose to stay in Miao Village for one night. However, with the improvement of people’s quality of life, most people spend their spare time on traveling, resulting in large scenic spots across the country, whether on holidays or on weekdays, are crowded with people, and of course Miao Village is no exception. The influx of a large number of tourists will inevitably affect the effect of viewing. To take pictures on the viewing platform, you have to squeeze and squeeze desperately to grab a favorable position. Seeing so many people, the mood of playing is greatly reduced. We try to choose a relatively small location to take a few photos casually. This is really the greater the hope, the greater the disappointment!

In fact, the best place to see the scenery of the Miao village is the inn on the top of the mountain. The height is sufficient. The viewing platform on the top of the mountain is not the best place. In addition to the large number of people, many eaves next to the viewing platform will also affect the effect. It is better to go to the viewing platform near the top of the mountain. We arrived at the viewing platform on the top of the mountain at around 8 o'clock in the morning. It has been contracted by a tour group. . . . . .

After watching the show, continue walking along the riverside path, take a bus to Bridge No. 1, and reach the best scenic spot in Miao Village - the viewing platform. We first went to taste the Miao long table banquet. Because I was handsome, I was selected by the Miao girl as a team representative and drank high mountains and flowing water - the Miao family toasts are treated with high standards. Fortunately, the Miao girl showed mercy, otherwise she would have drunk several pots of wine. After a good meal, you can take the best shooting position at the viewing platform to experience what Qianhu Miao Village is and the magnificence of Miao Village. Then you can take a car back to the No. 1 Bridge boarding point, but I regretted it. In fact, you can walk this section of the road by yourself. The plank road along the way is still easy to walk, and it is downhill. The main reason is that the scenery along the way is beautiful. Some viewing platforms are blocked by buildings and heads, so better effects cannot be taken. There are crowds of people on the viewing platform. It can be said that one step at a time along the way. If the weather is good, the scenery along the way will definitely make you linger.

Qianhu Miao Village is completely commercialized, but it does not hinder its beauty. It is a very photogenic Miao Village. Most tour groups arrive at Qianhu Miao Village from the North Gate in the evening. As a self-driving tourist, I still recommend entering from the West Gate. The best route is West Gate - take a bus to the viewing platform - walk down the mountain through the alleys - visit the Miao Village streets and wind and rain bridges - take a bus up the mountain to the viewing platform - return to the West Gate to leave.

This is my second time visiting Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, and I still have the urge to visit every corner of the Miao village, no matter where I have been!

Because the B&B we stayed in was on a mountain with a great view, we avoided dragging suitcases if possible.

Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village has a river called Baishui River flowing through the middle of the village. On the hillsides on both sides of the river are villages.



The villages on the Hebei side occupy a larger proportion. The flat part in front is the central area of the village. The front part is relatively flat, and the back is on the hillside.



The south side of the river, which is the viewing platform, has a steeper slope, so it is better to see the panoramic view from this slope.



In addition to the observation deck, there are also many inns and hotels on this slope that provide good viewing locations.

At the No. 1 Wind and Rain Bridge, you can take a sightseeing bus to the viewing platform. There are two restaurants under the viewing platform, which is the best viewing point. In order to find the best viewing point, I went to the restaurant and ordered a Xijiang specialty dish, fried bacon with zheergen. While eating, I waited for the night to fall. The taste of the zheergen was really hard to get used to, but the bacon was good.

As dusk gradually fell, the lights in Qianhu Miao Village gradually lit up, and the dotted lights made the entire Miao village look very dreamy.

The viewing platform is located halfway up the mountain on the south side of Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village. Since this is the intersection of the electric cars entering the scenic area and the tourists coming down the mountain to enter the village, it is very crowded and noisy, making it difficult to enjoy the scenery in peace.

Commercialization! Commercialization! Commercialization! Commercialization without any characteristics. The characteristics that should have been protected and repaired are in a state of disrepair, and everyone is eager to take money out of tourists' pockets. It is said that Qianhu Miao Village had a fire, so the buildings were newly built later and made to look old, which actually feels very shabby.

If you want to enjoy the whole view of Miao Village, you must go to the observation deck.

You can take the scenic area bus at No. 1 Wind and Rain Bridge to the observation deck, or you can walk up the mountain for 15 minutes. It is a main road and there are no steps.

Take the scenic area battery car to the viewing platform to overlook the night view of Xijiang River. The night Xijiang River is so intoxicating that you don't know the way home. Get up in the morning and walk along the trail to the viewing platform on the top of the mountain. The Miao village in the early morning is less noisy and more quiet. From the viewing platform, you can see the panoramic view of the Miao village. The thousand-household Miao village on the two hills is in full view. The densely packed Miao-style stilt houses are lined up one after another, covering the hillside, which is very spectacular. Unfortunately, it rained last night, so I couldn't see the sunrise I wanted to see. The sky was gloomy, and there was a little mist in the mountains, so the photos I took were all foggy.

The highest point of Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village is accessible by sightseeing bus after passing the Fengyu Bridge. In fact, the distance is very close, less than half an hour's walk, but it is a commercial operation. Except for the less than 50-meter wide area of the viewing platform, where you can see the whole picture of the Miao Village, the rest are shops and narrow streets, just a market, which is not interesting.

In fact, you don’t have to queue up at the foot of the mountain to get to the viewing platform. It only takes half an hour to walk up. On the way, you will find that the best viewing point in this legend is not as good as the scenery halfway up the mountain. . .

This is the best place in Xijiang Miao Village. The view from above is charming. The only drawback is that there are too many people. It is impossible to calm down and appreciate it. I have to make room for the people behind me after taking a few photos.

We went to the observation deck at around 10pm, and there weren't many people there. The cool evening breeze made us feel so happy that we didn't take the sightseeing bus and took a leisurely walk back to the hotel.
