Located in Chengde City, Hebei Province, it was once the summer palace of the emperors of the Qing Dynasty of China and is also the largest existing classical royal garden.
It was first built in 1703 and was completed by three emperors, Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong. It took 89 years to complete. The interior consists of the emperor's palace and gardens.
It is divided into four major areas: palace area, lake area, mountain area and plain area. The palace area and lake area are the essence of the summer resort.
There are 28 yurts of different sizes in the park, the royal library Wenjin Pavilion, Yongyou Temple, Chunhaoxuan, Suyunyan and other buildings, which are very worth visiting.

On the eighth day of the first lunar month, I passed through Chengde and braved the light snow to visit the Mountain Resort. I have been there twice in the summer before, but I was not impressed. The only thing I remember was the huge crowds. This time, there were really few people. The garden was so big. I only walked to the Misty Rain Tower and then walked back. It took more than an hour. I envied the residents around me. They could visit the garden anytime when they were free, from sunrise to sunset, hahaha. The environment of the villa is very good. Many ice and snow projects have been developed in winter. It is the game of driving a battery car on the ice to throw tires, and a bunch of tourists sit on the tires and pay to find the thrown tires. It is a bit stupid and a bit inconsistent with this villa. I met a lot of black tour guides at the entrance of the villa. I had to give explanations. I don’t know if the villa itself has an explanation service. If not, you can consider learning from the Forbidden City. It is very convenient to rent an interpreter. If you haven’t been here, it is still worth going in and taking a look. The ticket price is 90 yuan for adults and 45 yuan for students. You don’t need to look at your student ID.
The Summer Resort was first built in 1703 and was completed in 89 years during the reigns of Emperors Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. The Summer Resort is simple and elegant, with a rural style, natural landscapes, and the scenery of the south and north of the Yangtze River. It has become the largest existing ancient imperial palace in China. The tour guide talked a lot about the Summer Resort, but I can't remember it clearly now. I think the most beautiful part of the Bishui Resort is the back garden.
The Summer Resort is also known as the "Rehe Palace" and the "Chengde Palace". It was built during the reign of Emperor Kangxi and has a history of more than 300 years. It is one of the four famous gardens in China, along with the Summer Palace, the Humble Administrator's Garden, and the Lingering Garden, which were announced at the same time. It was listed in the World Heritage List in December 1994. The Summer Resort is divided into four major parts: the palace area, the lake area, the plain area, and the mountain area, forming a layout of the southeast lake area, the northwest mountain area, and the northeast grassland, forming a miniature of the Chinese territory.
The Mountain Resort is the world's largest imperial garden. "There is a garden in the mountain and a mountain in the garden" is the biggest feature of the Mountain Resort. It covers an area of 5.6 million square meters, which is equivalent to the area of two Summer Palaces in Beijing or eight Forbidden City in Beijing. It was built during the reign of Emperor Kangxi and completed during the reign of Emperor Qianlong, a construction period of 89 years. There are as many as 120 scenic spots of various sizes. Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong named many of them, up to 72 of them. If you visit the Mountain Resort, you will find that there are four-character scenic spots named by Emperor Kangxi, while Emperor Qianlong named them by three characters.
The Mountain Resort, the largest existing ancient imperial palace in China, is a place where the emperors of the Qing Dynasty escaped the heat and handled government affairs in the summer. In 1860, the British and French allied forces attacked Beijing, and Emperor Xianfeng of the Qing Dynasty fled to the Mountain Resort, where he approved several unequal treaties, including the Sino-Russian Beijing Treaty.
The villa is divided into four parts: palace area, lake area, plain area and mountain area. The main palace area is now a museum. After seeing the Forbidden City, this is just like that. The mountain area has been closed since November due to fire prevention. I wanted to see the panoramic view of Zongcheng Temple from the top of the mountain, but it became a bubble. The scenic buildings in the lake area are mostly built in imitation of the famous places in Jiangnan. The reflections are everywhere, and the impression is deep.
Just like the Summer Palace, as soon as you enter the gate, there are private tour guides constantly coming up to you to solicit business and give explanations. During the tour, there are also many tourists following these private tour guides, and no villa staff interfere.
Chengde, formerly known as "Rehe", was the second political and cultural center of the Qing government. The source of Rehe came from the Rehe Spring in the Summer Resort. I studied in Chengde for three years. As a student of tourism, I have traveled almost all of Chengde. There is the largest existing royal garden "Summer Resort", the world's largest royal hunting garden "Mulan Hunting Ground", the natural wonder "Qingchui Peak" (locals call it "Bangchui Mountain"), Wuling Mountain known as the "natural botanical garden", and the world cultural heritage "Outer Eight Temples"...
"Blue sky, white clouds, green mountains and clear water" is how I see Chengde. In today's technological world, it is rare to see a city with almost zero pollution.
The Mountain Resort, just by hearing the name you can tell what the direct purpose of the Qing emperors coming here was - to escape the summer heat!
It is really cool inside the villa. It is divided into mountainous area, plain area and lake area. There are 72 scenic spots of various sizes, including 36 named by Emperor Kangxi (all the scenic spots named by Emperor Kangxi are 4 characters), 36 named by Emperor Qianlong, and 16 scenic spots named by Emperor Qianlong.
36 scenic spots (all the scenic spots named by Emperor Qianlong are 3 characters long)
Summer isn't particularly hot, but it's really sunny! ! Be sure to bring sun protection equipment when traveling.
The park can be visited in two days, and you can only see half of it in one day. We went there for a day during the National Day holiday and only visited the plains and lakes. The package is divided into many sections, and we only bought the big ticket. The picturesque royal garden is worth a visit.
As a royal palace, it is still very good, and the furnishings in the palace area are still there, which is very good. Compared with the empty palace, there are still some furnishings, which makes people imagine better. Although the lake area is very long, the scenery is very good; you can take a battery car up the mountain first, overlooking the Potala Palace and Bangchui Mountain in the distance. Then walk to find the 72 scenes of Kangxi, and then return from the stupa through Rehe, and see all the scenery in one circle
Mountain Resort, 130 yuan
The tour time starts from 4 hours and there is no upper limit
The Summer Resort is unusually large, so be prepared to walk around. It is recommended to come in after lunch, because there are too many tour groups in the morning, and there are not many places to eat and they are expensive.
Chengde Mountain Resort is a 5A scenic spot! A World Cultural Heritage Site! The largest existing royal garden in China! Beautiful scenery! Very historical! It is divided into the palace area, lake area, and mountain area! It's a pity that I didn't go to the Outer Eight Temples this time! I will go there next time if I have the chance!
I just want to say that the ticket is a pitfall. I bought a three-day package for 260 yuan, but you can only enter and exit once. If you want to go in the next day, you have to buy it again. Is this called a three-day package? I personally don’t recommend taking the mountain and lake buses. It’s a pitfall. The scenic spots around the mountain are all barren slopes. The scenic spots around the lake are either a house or a tower. I can’t even take pictures of each scenic spot. How bad can you say it is? It only takes 5 minutes to see it. Chengde Mountain Resort is really too bad. I don’t recommend it. I don’t recommend it. I really don’t recommend it.
Chengde Mountain Resort is a famous imperial garden in China, with extremely high historical, cultural and artistic value. The plaque of the Mountain Resort was written by Emperor Kangxi.
I think that you should visit Chengde Mountain Resort at least once in your life...
It is a must-see when you come to Chengde Mountain Resort. It is recommended to do some research before coming, or hire a tour guide or listen to the tour, so that you can better appreciate the scenery of this royal garden. It is recommended to take the mountain tour bus, otherwise it will be too tiring.
It's a pretty big park, with mountains on the west and water and wetlands on the east. You can travel around it by car or boat.
I especially remember taking the scenic area's small transportation. There is a short section of winding mountain road. In August, it was very comfortable to shuttle through the dense trees and feel the cool breeze.
The scenery around the lake is just so-so. Compared with the natural landscape of the royal gardens in the south, there is a large mountain view. It took a whole morning to walk around. I didn't go there.
You don't need to carry food. There is a 58-yuan buffet in the Mongolian yurt in the plain area. Although I didn't eat it, it looks good from the pictures.
During the May Day holiday, there were many people, but I still felt that it was the highest example of Chinese garden art.
Combining recreation and summer vacation with political purposes, Emperor Kangxi and a big chess game, went there on May Day! No summer vacation! Almost got heat stroke
May 2nd, it was hot and tiring, so I had to wear a big sun hat and take the tour bus. . . . ,
It didn't feel much cooler, but the scenery was nice.
I went there a few years ago, and maybe many aspects have changed. The scenery is very good, a bit like the Summer Palace, and you can also see the Little Potala Palace and other religious buildings around it. It is very magnificent from a distance.
The royal summer palace "Mountain Resort" is a must-visit when visiting Chengde, with beautiful scenery.
I just went to the Summer Resort last week. This royal garden is very large, with winding paths and changing scenery. It is not the kind of place where you can see everything at a glance. It is such a pleasure to walk in it.
After reading Yu Qiuyu's "Notes from a Mountain Retreat", including the chapter "The Back of a Dynasty", let's take a look at the Mountain Resort. The Mountain Resort is the "Great Wall" of Emperor Kangxi, and the "Mulan Paddock" is a military exercise site. It was a great achievement of Kangxi to transform complex political purposes and military significance into a quiet and leisurely garden and a circle of incense-filled temples.
The world cultural heritage is still worth a visit.
A mountain resort is half of the history of the Qing Dynasty. It witnessed the rise and fall of the Qing Dynasty. Escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, unload the impetuousness in your heart, slow down your pace, and walk into the Mountain Resort; the scenery of the Mountain Resort is different throughout the year, and the only thing that remains unchanged is its magnificent atmosphere that integrates the mountains and rivers of the motherland. Visit the Imperial Palace Museum: admire the Golden Silk Nanmu Hall - Danbo Jingcheng, the emperor's study - Sizhi Book House, the Yellow Emperor's bedroom - Yanbo Zhishuang, and the residences of Ci'an and Cixi - East House and West House. Visit the mountain area that occupies four-fifths of the villa, watch wild deer, enjoy the sea of forests, climb the snow-covered Nanshan, climb the "Great Wall", and listen to the pipa sounds of the concubines of Qingfeng Green Island. Visit the lake area: visit the filming location of Princess Huanzhu, Shufangzhai-Yanyu Tower, Jinshan Pavilion, the shortest river in the world - Rehe Spring, and enjoy the Wanshu Garden with the artistic conception of the vast Inner Mongolia grassland.
Emperor Qianlong built the Little Potala Palace to welcome the Sixth Panchen Lama who came from Tibet to celebrate his 70th birthday. From the Mountain Resort, you can see the distant Bangchui Mountain. The Mountain Resort is worthy of being one of the four famous gardens in China. How can it be described as "beautiful"? The Misty Rain Tower can be seen from a distance across the water.
It is recommended to take a small car in the park in the mountainous area, otherwise it will be too difficult to climb. The lake area is really beautiful, but it is quite hot in summer, so you will lose the energy to visit the park after walking for a while.
The Mountain Resort should belong to summer, otherwise why do so many people flock to it in the hot season? The emperors in the past and the common people in the future have never tired of it.
There are very few tourists in the villa, scattered in twos and threes. The empty and deserted palace area of the villa seems even colder than the world outside the palace walls. On the contrary, there are more staff members inside the villa than tourists. They pace back and forth in the area under their jurisdiction with boredom, wearing red hoops on their arms to remind tourists that they are staff members.
It is very big. I heard that it occupies most of Chengde. The emperor knows how to have fun. You can also see the Little Potala Palace in the distance when you climb the city wall.
From July to September every year, it is a very good time to visit the Summer Resort.
I went there during the hottest time of summer and it was indeed cool and pleasant. The most impressive thing was the golden nanmu hall. The entire hall was constructed with golden nanmu and the base was covered with agate to ensure coolness in summer.
World Heritage Explanation
To be frank to the people of Hebei, to be honest, I really don't know how this place was named a World Heritage Site. Before I went there, I had already heard of this place in countless Qing Dynasty palace dramas, so whether it was called Chengde Mountain Resort or Rehe Palace, these grand and elegant names told me that the royal garden must be visited.
But after I went there, I realized that Guangda really wasn't good enough. The difference between a garden and a forest is not in size, but in elegance. If you look at Japanese gardens and temples, you can see the Japanese atmosphere in even a small space. From the perspective of scenery alone, the Rehe Palace in front of me is no different from the Changfeng Park where I take my son every week. There are no majestic pavilions and towers, nor any unique twists and turns. The lakeside with pedal boats and electric boats floating on it always feels like a group of aunts dancing in the square is not out of place.
When the British and French forces attacked Beijing, Emperor Xianfeng fled here with his ministers. A series of unequal treaties were also signed here. The Old Summer Palace, which was looted and burned by the British and French forces, is the real world heritage, the veritable "Garden of Gardens". There is a code of conduct for thieves. These foreigners who valued the spirit of gentlemanliness turned the "sorry" they said all the time into a complete looting and burning. Not only did they loot, but they also destroyed everything. Many years later, the descendants of that group of gentlemen smoked cigars and drank red wine, looking at the list of applications for World Heritage, and drew a circle 230 kilometers away from the Old Summer Palace to complete their inner redemption. I thought for a long time and finally gave myself a reason for Chengde to be selected as a World Heritage Site.
After the first weekend after the National Day holiday, I was still in the mood for fun. The Summer Resort was no longer crowded at this time, so I took the opportunity to take a look. The museum at the entrance is the royal residence, which looks quite shabby and lives up to its reputation. Further north is a huge garden, which is like the style of the Jiangnan water village. Only when you walk here can you feel the essence of the Summer Resort.
The number one attraction in Chengde, the ticket is not cheap, it was 145 when I went there in 2015, but the area inside is very large, if you want to visit it carefully, you can't finish it in one day, especially the palace area and the lake area. When I came in mid-October, it was quite cold in the morning and evening, and it was quite hot during the day, and I didn't feel much cool
When I was very young, my parents took me to Chengde to visit my relatives, but I have no memory of it. I came in winter in 2009, and because it was the wrong time, I could not see much, but I could still feel the scale and grandeur of the royal garden. There are many ancient monuments inside, many of which have been renovated, and you can see free-range deer inside.
I've been to the Forbidden City, and it's much smaller than I thought. I came to the Mountain Resort, and it's much bigger than I expected. The entrance is the emperor's office and residential area, and you can listen to stories. The back garden has mountains, water, and lawns, and you can see the scenery.
The scenery is still good, but there are not many ancient buildings, and the ticket price feels a little bit not worth it~ The most popular place inside may be the Yanyu Tower where the film "Princess Huanzhu" was filmed~
I went there during the National Day holiday. Generally speaking, it was full of people. In fact, each garden has a good view and historical heritage. It is recommended to stroll quietly during the off-peak season and appreciate the history of each garden. In addition, it is actually the Summer Palace three times larger. If you are not here for the scenery near Chengde, you don't need to come here specially.
The scenery of the Summer Resort is absolutely amazing. When you enter from the Lizheng Gate, you will first see the palace area, which is not very large.
After passing through the palace area and going downhill, you can see the lake area and the parking lot on the mountain.
If you want to overlook the Little Potala Palace, it is recommended to take a car up the mountain. If you walk, it will take a lot of time.
The most worth seeing place in the lake area is the Misty Rain Tower. You can basically see the whole thing by going around Taihu Lake.
If you have good physical strength, you can walk in the plain area, there are also shuttle buses.
Basically, you can visit the entire park in one day by taking the park's transportation.
In the Mountain Resort, you can see Jinshan Temple in Zhenjiang, Liuhe Pagoda in Hangzhou, Su Causeway in West Lake and other sights. It can be said that this resort condenses the scenery of the whole country. It takes at least three or four days to have a good time.
I have never been to such a bad city: the roads are narrow, parking is harder than climbing to the sky, the city environment is too bad, the prices are ridiculously high, the ordinary people are kind, and the police uncle will give you the wrong way. I give up and will never go there again. I feel that I am not capable of receiving more tourists...
A full day in the Mountain Resort is necessary because it is so huge. The most typical and worthwhile places to visit are: Putuo Zongcheng Temple, Xuyou Fushou Temple, and Puning Temple. Other scenic spots around Chengde can be visited as appropriate, but the recommendation index is not high.
The scenic area is divided into three types of scenery: lake area, plain area, and mountain area. However, because it is too large, I couldn't finish walking through it in a day. In the end, I focused on the scenery of the lake area and the plain area. The weather in Chengde was very good during the days I went there. The lake and mountains were beautiful under the blue sky, and my mood was much calmer!
Compared to the crowded scene in the Summer Palace, the Mountain Resort is rarely seen. Here you can find many quiet places where you can enjoy the scenery alone. However, you must enter from the main gate of the Mountain Resort, Lizheng Gate. This is the main entrance of the resort. The Chengde City Museum is behind the gate, and the door plaque of the Mountain Resort is inside. There are many hotels and hostels of different prices around the Mountain Resort, which can be arranged according to your own situation.
The mountain area is located in the northwest of the villa, accounting for about four-fifths of the entire park. Here, the mountains are undulating, the gullies are crisscrossed, and many buildings, pavilions, and temples are dotted. The entire villa is rich in water in the southeast and mountainous in the northwest, which is a microcosm of China's natural landscape. The western part of the plain area is covered with green grass, a scene of Mongolian grassland; the eastern part is full of towering ancient trees, with the scene of the vast forests of Daxinganling.
The villa integrates the essence of southern and northern architectural art. The buildings in the garden are small in scale. The palaces and walls are mostly made of blue bricks, gray tiles, and natural wood. They are elegant, solemn, simple and moderate, which is in sharp contrast to the Forbidden City in Beijing, which is magnificent and dazzling with yellow tiles, red walls, and gold-painted paintings. The villa's architecture has the style, structure and engineering methods of southern gardens, and also follows the common techniques of the north, becoming a model of the perfect combination of northern and southern architectural art.
The Mountain Resort is different from other royal gardens. Its site selection and overall design were based on the topographical features. It made full use of the natural terrain, followed the mountains and rivers, and went with the flow. At the same time, it integrated the essence of the northern and southern garden art.
The Summer Resort looks big, and it is indeed big, but it is not that big when you visit it. The resort is basically divided into three areas: the palace area (the Summer Resort Museum), the mountain area, and the lake area. The mountain area occupies the vast majority of the area. It is recommended to take an electric car to visit the mountain area. In fact, if you don't want to take pictures of the Putuo Zongcheng Temple, you don't have to go up to the mountain area. It is recommended not to go through the middle palace area to enter the Summer Resort (you need to check the ticket separately, and the ticket is punched. I don't know if you can enter multiple times. I bought the ticket online and only had the ticket number on my phone, so I came in twice in the morning and at noon). You can go around the palace area from the side road to the back door of the palace area, which is the mountain electric car ticket office and the lake area. When you come to the Summer Resort, you almost go to the museum first, so it's crowded in the morning, and you don't have to think about taking pictures. After playing in the mountain area and the lake area, go back to the palace area near noon. At this time, there are too few people in it, probably less than one twentieth of the morning. And going to the lake area and the mountain area first is equivalent to staggered peaks. Visiting the Summer Resort is not as scary as most guides say, requiring one or two days. In fact, we entered the park at 8:30 in the morning and had already figured it out by 3:00 in the afternoon. In addition, there is no place to eat in the Summer Resort, but there are still drinks, mineral water and instant noodles.
Chengde is famous for the Mountain Resort. The Mountain Resort is famous for its century-long glory during the Kangxi and Qianlong Periods of Prosperity! Today, three hundred years later, Chengde has become a tourist destination again because of the Mountain Resort.
We entered from the Lizheng Gate and first visited the palace area. Facing us was the original calligraphy of Emperor Qianlong, "Summer Resort". Although it is three hundred years old and there is obviously no mistake in the words, it still has infinite charm that is famous both at home and abroad. Tourists will definitely take pictures here, and we are no exception. Then we entered the Danbo Jingcheng Hall. All the pillars and doors and windows here are made of golden nanmu, which is very precious. The buildings in this palace area do not look magnificent, but their unique design, high-quality materials and grand production do not lose the style of the emperor's palace at all.
It was a really bad experience because I bought one extra ticket online and wanted to refund it, but was told that I couldn't get a refund. When I asked why I couldn't get a refund, the lady who sold the ticket said that because you didn't buy it online, we couldn't refund it. 😢 So everyone went there and confirmed the number of people before buying the tickets.
The Mountain Resort is divided into palace area, mountain area, lake area and plain area. The entire resort combines royal buildings, mountain scenery, Jiangnan scenery and grassland style.
First you enter the palace area through the main gate. Compared with the Forbidden City, the architectural style of the Mountain Resort is simple and the colors are elegant. In the refreshing climate of Chengde, it can make people calm and refreshed.
The tour guide took us to the main entrance of the Mountain Resort, Lizheng Gate, by bus and began a wonderful explanation. The Mountain Resort is divided into four parts: the palace area, the lake area, the plain area, and the mountain area. Due to limited time, we mainly visited the palace area on foot and the lake area by boat. To be honest, the Mountain Resort in this season is really not a summer resort. The temperature should have been around 33 or 34 degrees. Some travel notes suggest entering the park after 4 pm, when it is cooler, and the park closes at 9 pm, so you can basically visit everything you want to see.
A mountain resort, half a city. The scale here exceeded my expectations. It can be divided into four major parts: the palace area, the lake area, the plain area, and the mountain area. Among them, you can go boating in the lake area, and you can take a car to visit the plain area and the mountain area. Before in Beijing, I was disappointed by the small size of the Imperial Garden of the Forbidden City. Although I have been to the Old Summer Palace and the Summer Palace, I always think that the royal gardens are just so-so. However, the Summer Resort allowed me to see the atmosphere and beauty of that time. It is also a manifestation of national strength to collect famous places from all over the country and imitate them. Here, you can find the Misty Rain Tower in Nanhu, the Jinshan Temple in Zhenjiang, and the Lion Grove in Suzhou. Of course, the Eight Outer Temples in front are also imitation buildings.
The Royal Garden is indeed worthy of its reputation. The scenery inside is copied from the beautiful scenery of Jiangnan. There is a scene at every step, the boat is sailing in the water, and people are swimming in the painting. Rehe is the shortest river in the world, haha. I went there a little late and was not able to visit the whole scenic area. The ticket plus the boat ticket and the fare cost 200 to 300 yuan per person, which is not a small price. It is worth going to spend a day to appreciate it carefully.
As expected of the emperor's summer resort, the greenery is very good. The emperor's rooms are all cool and dark (haha). It is very grand, with study, office, and living quarters. It is really a mountain resort, with lakes, willows, lotus flowers, and pavilions, all of which are very ancient. The weather was very good on the day of the tour, and the sun was shining brightly. Although it was a bit hot, it was quite cool wherever there were trees. It was just that everyone came here to "escape the heat" during the summer vacation, and there were crowds of people. I didn't finish the tour, so I went out to eat and rushed to the next attraction. It was a pity.
When we arrived at the villa, the parking lot was on the east side, close to Dehui Gate, so we entered the villa from Dehui Gate. In fact, we should have entered from Lizheng Gate. The Cultural Relics Museum of the Summer Resort is a one-way street that requires entry from the main gate.
After entering the villa, you first go to the bus stop for the mountain tour. The ticket costs 50 yuan, and you take the sightseeing bus up the mountain. The second parking point is Ermadao, which overlooks the Small Potala Palace area of the Outer Eight Temples. The whole journey takes more than an hour.
Take a car down the mountain, along Ruyizhou, Yanyu Tower to Rehe Spring, Jinshan, and exit from Shuixinxie, which also takes three to four hours.
Overall it's good, but compared to the scenery and service, the ticket plus additional facilities are a bit expensive. In fact, if you don't take a car or a boat, you won't have enough energy and time. If you don't find a tour guide, the house won't look good. So the comprehensive consumption is relatively high.
I regretted going to this place once. The service attitude is not good and the route design is not good. I don't want to go there again. I don't even want to give it one star.
It is very big and beautiful, the scenery is cleverly conceived, and the architecture is ingenious. As a tourist attraction, I can only say eight words about it: you must come, and you can't come again, because there are just too many people!
It was very difficult to find a parking space, so I ended up parking at a parking lot that charged 50 yuan for an unlimited time. The ticket was 140 yuan, not including other transportation. After entering, the sightseeing bus to the mountain was charged 50 yuan per person. The sightseeing bus passed through the mountains and fields, which were indeed wild, and I encountered snakes. The boat for the lake cruise cost 60 yuan per person, and there were a lot of people, about 40 people per boat. Most of the tour guides told unofficial history, and each tour guide had his own set of rhetoric. The scenery was good, but not as good as the legend said. It was just a large park that imitated various buildings. It was just famous.
The tickets are a bit expensive, and the best view is to take a car up the mountain to see the Little Potala Palace from a distance
It's worth a visit. If you don't go to the summer village to escape the heat, don't go there in summer.
This was the place where the emperors of the Qing Dynasty spent their summers and handled government affairs. It took 89 years to build. Here, "there is a garden in the mountain and a mountain in the garden", and it is one of the four famous gardens in China. The scenery is beautiful and has the flavor of Jiangnan gardens.
It was originally a good place to go, but the service attitude of the underground parking garage in front of the gate was terrible. If he was not satisfied, he would tell tourists to "stop if you want, or get out of here". It was too bad. How could a national scenic spot have such people serving? ? ? They were simply thugs, with open arms and cigarettes in their mouths. They also scolded me. In order not to affect the mood of the tour, I had a few arguments. I guess they must have secretly damaged my car! ? ? It was too disappointing!
The Mountain Resort, one of the four major ancient architectural complexes in China, has a high ornamental value.
The emperor's summer resort is really cool and has great scenery.
It is very large, with beautiful scenery and the flavor of Jiangnan gardens.
It is worth a visit. There are a few points to note. The parking fee at Lizheng Gate (main gate) is very expensive, eight yuan per hour. It is recommended to park the car in the hotel parking lot and take a taxi to get there. Second, try to avoid holidays and summer vacations. There are a lot of people and it is easy to get a summer resort. If you go during the summer vacation, don't rush to the weekend. There are a lot of people and the food and accommodation are expensive; third, go early, especially in summer. The scenic area opens at 7 o'clock. Go in at 7 o'clock. The weather is cool and there are not many people. Fourth, if you bring children, take a baby stroller and push the children, otherwise you will be exhausted if you hold the children to visit the summer resort; fifth, the summer resort is divided into four parts, the museum, the mountain area, the lake area and the plain area. When visiting the mountain area, take a sightseeing bus, 50 yuan per person, and you can visit the mountain area in an hour, which can save a lot of time and energy. Don't get a heat stroke or fail to visit the core scenic area in the hot summer because of saving that two dollars, which will be a big loss.
When you enter, you will first see the palace area and the museum. Actually, there is nothing to see. History lovers can listen to the stories told by the tour guide next to you. Then there are the lake area and the plain. When you enter, someone recommends taking a car and a boat for 100 yuan per person. I didn't fall into the trap this time. My dad looked at the map and it didn't seem very big. After walking around, I felt that it was as big as Huifeng Lake, so if you are not in a hurry, you can walk, see and play.
After walking around and seeing the emperor's back garden, we chose to spend 50 yuan per person to take a bus to visit the mountain area. It turned out that this money was worth it. There were three stops. The scenery on the mountain was magnificent, suitable for taking pictures, and it was much cooler than Mount Tai.
When I arrived, I was stunned. It was useless to get up early. Several tourist buses had already arrived. Several tourist groups waving small flags arrived. The entrance was already bustling with people coming and going. I bought a ticket and walked and stopped. When I was in school, I read the essay "Notes on Mountain Dwelling", which mentioned the Summer Resort. Now I am there, and it feels quite interesting to compare it with my memory of that year. I took a sightseeing bus up the mountain and took pictures at three scenic spots. I like the picture of the overlooking of the Little Potala Palace the most. It would be perfect if it was blue sky and white clouds.
The children treated this place as the Great Wall and jogged along the way, having a lot of fun.
Looking from afar, the red walls are covered by green trees. The clouds that had been there for many days gradually dissipated, and the temperature rose accordingly. The elderly and children were a little tired, so they left after a quick tour. However, even if it was a quick tour, it took nearly a whole morning, and everyone was exhausted.
The peak season ticket in 2018 is 145 yuan, and the transportation bus to the mountain scenic area is 50 yuan, which is not cheap. However, the Summer Resort is large in scale. If you can appreciate and visit it carefully, it is worth the ticket price. What's more, the scenic area is well protected and maintained, and it gives people a refreshing feeling to visit it. The scenic area is divided into four parts: palace area, mountain area, lake area, and plain area. If you want to walk through them all, you need to enter the park early in the morning. However, it takes about 4-5 hours to visit the most essential lake area and mountain area. There are fewer tour groups in the afternoon and evening, it is quieter, and the temperature is more comfortable. The scenic area stops selling tickets at 17:30, but all parks close at 21:00. You can consider traveling during the peak season.
Chengde Mountain Resort, also known as "Chengde Imperial Palace" or "Rehe Palace", is located in the north of the center of Chengde City, Hebei Province. It is now a world cultural heritage and one of the four famous gardens in China. It is a masterpiece of Chinese classical garden art and the highest example of Chinese classical gardens.
A large garden with rich content, it is worth visiting~
It is best to hire a tour guide here. There is a large garden inside. Why is it famous? The story comes from every palace and every pavilion inside. Otherwise, it is no different from visiting a park.
In addition, if you have time, it is recommended to go in after 4 pm. The Summer Resort is very hot in the morning and it is not cool at all. It gets dark there at 8 pm and the Summer Resort closes quite late.
The entire summer resort can be divided into three parts: mountain area, lake area and museum.
Most of the tourists who flock to the Mountain Resort come in tour groups.
The emperor came here to escape the summer heat and also to work. It was the second political center of China at that time.
Take an electric car to visit the mountainous area, and you can see the whole picture of Chengde city from a high place.
We took a boat tour of the lake area and it happened to be drizzling, which was a great experience.
Rehe never freezes all year round. The most famous thing about it is that it was named after the river during the Republic of China - Rehe Province.
In the evening, many locals go to the Summer Resort for a walk, which is a great place to exercise.
It's a very nice place. Yanyu Tower is the filming location of My Fair Princess. Overall, it's worth a visit!
The Chengde Mountain Resort, also known as the "Chengde Imperial Palace" or the "Rehe Palace", is located in the northern part of the center of Chengde City, Hebei Province, on the narrow valley on the west bank of the Wulie River. It was the place where the emperors of the Qing Dynasty escaped the summer heat and handled government affairs.
The construction of the Mountain Resort began in 1703 and took 89 years to complete during the reigns of Emperors Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. The Mountain Resort is simple and elegant, with a rural style, natural landscapes, and scenery from the south and north of the Yangtze River. It has become the largest existing ancient imperial palace in China.
The Mountain Resort is divided into four major parts: the palace area, the lake area, the plain area, and the mountain area. The entire resort has more water in the southeast and more mountains in the northwest. It is a microcosm of China's natural landscape, a glorious milestone in the history of Chinese gardens, a masterpiece of Chinese classical garden art, and the highest example of Chinese classical gardens.
