The Chengde Mountain Resort, also known as the "Chengde Imperial Palace" or the "Rehe Palace", is located in the northern part of the center of Chengde City, Hebei Province, on the narrow valley on the west bank of the Wulie River. I envied the residents around me. They could visit the garden anytime when they were free, from sunrise to sunset, hahaha. The environment of the villa is very good. Many ice and snow projects have been developed in winter. It is the game of driving a battery car on the ice to throw tires, and a bunch of tourists sit on the tires and pay to find the thrown tires. It is a bit stupid and a bit inconsistent with this villa. I met a lot of black tour guides at the entrance of the villa. I had to give explanations. I don’t know if the villa itself has an explanation service. If not, you can consider learning from the Forbidden City. It is very convenient to rent an interpreter. If you haven’t been here, it is still worth going in and taking a look. The ticket price is 90 yuan for adults and 45 yuan for students. You don’t need to look at your student ID.

I studied in Chengde for three years. As a student of tourism, I have traveled almost all of Chengde. It is really cool inside the villa. It is divided into mountainous area, plain area and lake area. The park can be visited in two days, and you can only see half of it in one day. We went there for a day during the National Day holiday and only visited the plains and lakes. World Heritage Explanation

To be frank to the people of Hebei, to be honest, I really don't know how this place was named a World Heritage Site. Before I went there, I had already heard of this place in countless Qing Dynasty palace dramas, so whether it was called Chengde Mountain Resort or Rehe Palace, these grand and elegant names told me that the royal garden must be visited.

But after I went there, I realized that Guangda really wasn't good enough. The difference between a garden and a forest is not in size, but in elegance. If you look at Japanese gardens and temples, you can see the Japanese atmosphere in even a small space. From the perspective of scenery alone, the Rehe Palace in front of me is no different from the Changfeng Park where I take my son every week. There are no majestic pavilions and towers, nor any unique twists and turns. The lakeside with pedal boats and electric boats floating on it always feels like a group of aunts dancing in the square is not out of place.

When the British and French forces attacked Beijing, Emperor Xianfeng fled here with his ministers. A series of unequal treaties were also signed here. The Old Summer Palace, which was looted and burned by the British and French forces, is the real world heritage, the veritable "Garden of Gardens". There is a code of conduct for thieves. These foreigners who valued the spirit of gentlemanliness turned the "sorry" they said all the time into a complete looting and burning. Not only did they loot, but they also destroyed everything. Many years later, the descendants of that group of gentlemen smoked cigars and drank red wine, looking at the list of applications for World Heritage, and drew a circle 230 kilometers away from the Old Summer Palace to complete their inner redemption. After the first weekend after the National Day holiday, I was still in the mood for fun. The Summer Resort was no longer crowded at this time, so I took the opportunity to take a look. The museum at the entrance is the royal residence, which looks quite shabby and lives up to its reputation. Further north is a huge garden, which is like the style of the Jiangnan water village. Only when you walk here can you feel the essence of the Summer Resort.

The number one attraction in Chengde, the ticket is not cheap, it was 145 when I went there in 2015, but the area inside is very large, if you want to visit it carefully, you can't finish it in one day, especially the palace area and the lake area. When I came in mid-October, it was quite cold in the morning and evening, and it was quite hot during the day, and I didn't feel much cool

When I was very young, my parents took me to Chengde to visit my relatives, but I have no memory of it. I came in winter in 2009, and because it was the wrong time, I could not see much, but I could still feel the scale and grandeur of the royal garden. There are many ancient monuments inside, many of which have been renovated, and you can see free-range deer inside.

I've been to the Forbidden City, and it's much smaller than I thought. I came to the Mountain Resort, and it's much bigger than I expected. The entrance is the emperor's office and residential area, and you can listen to stories. The back garden has mountains, water, and lawns, and you can see the scenery.

The scenery is still good, but there are not many ancient buildings, and the ticket price feels a little bit not worth it~ The most popular place inside may be the Yanyu Tower where the film "Princess Huanzhu" was filmed~

I went there during the National Day holiday. Generally speaking, it was full of people. In fact, each garden has a good view and historical heritage. It is recommended to stroll quietly during the off-peak season and appreciate the history of each garden. In addition, it is actually the Summer Palace three times larger. If you are not here for the scenery near Chengde, you don't need to come here specially.

In the Mountain Resort, you can see Jinshan Temple in Zhenjiang, Liuhe Pagoda in Hangzhou, Su Causeway in West Lake and other sights. It can be said that this resort condenses the scenery of the whole country. It takes at least three or four days to have a good time.

I have never been to such a bad city: the roads are narrow, parking is harder than climbing to the sky, the city environment is too bad, the prices are ridiculously high, the ordinary people are kind, and the police uncle will give you the wrong way. I give up and will never go there again. I feel that I am not capable of receiving more tourists...

A full day in the Mountain Resort is necessary because it is so huge. The most typical and worthwhile places to visit are: Putuo Zongcheng Temple, Xuyou Fushou Temple, and Puning Temple. Other scenic spots around Chengde can be visited as appropriate, but the recommendation index is not high.

The mountain area is located in the northwest of the villa, accounting for about four-fifths of the entire park. Here, the mountains are undulating, the gullies are crisscrossed, and many buildings, pavilions, and temples are dotted. The entire villa is rich in water in the southeast and mountainous in the northwest, which is a microcosm of China's natural landscape. The western part of the plain area is covered with green grass, a scene of Mongolian grassland; the eastern part is full of towering ancient trees, with the scene of the vast forests of Daxinganling.

The villa integrates the essence of southern and northern architectural art. The buildings in the garden are small in scale. The palaces and walls are mostly made of blue bricks, gray tiles, and natural wood. They are elegant, solemn, simple and moderate, which is in sharp contrast to the Forbidden City in Beijing, which is magnificent and dazzling with yellow tiles, red walls, and gold-painted paintings. The villa's architecture has the style, structure and engineering methods of southern gardens, and also follows the common techniques of the north, becoming a model of the perfect combination of northern and southern architectural art.

The Mountain Resort is different from other royal gardens. Its site selection and overall design were based on the topographical features. It made full use of the natural terrain, followed the mountains and rivers, and went with the flow. At the same time, it integrated the essence of the northern and southern garden art.

The Summer Resort looks big, and it is indeed big, but it is not that big when you visit it. The resort is basically divided into three areas: the palace area (the Summer Resort Museum), the mountain area, and the lake area. The mountain area occupies the vast majority of the area. It is recommended to take an electric car to visit the mountain area. In fact, if you don't want to take pictures of the Putuo Zongcheng Temple, you don't have to go up to the mountain area. It is recommended not to go through the middle palace area to enter the Summer Resort (you need to check the ticket separately, and the ticket is punched. I don't know if you can enter multiple times. I bought the ticket online and only had the ticket number on my phone, so I came in twice in the morning and at noon). You can go around the palace area from the side road to the back door of the palace area, which is the mountain electric car ticket office and the lake area. When you come to the Summer Resort, you almost go to the museum first, so it's crowded in the morning, and you don't have to think about taking pictures. After playing in the mountain area and the lake area, go back to the palace area near noon. At this time, there are too few people in it, probably less than one twentieth of the morning. And going to the lake area and the mountain area first is equivalent to staggered peaks. Visiting the Summer Resort is not as scary as most guides say, requiring one or two days. In fact, we entered the park at 8:30 in the morning and had already figured it out by 3:00 in the afternoon. In addition, there is no place to eat in the Summer Resort, but there are still drinks, mineral water and instant noodles.

Chengde is famous for the Mountain Resort. The Mountain Resort is famous for its century-long glory during the Kangxi and Qianlong Periods of Prosperity! Today, three hundred years later, Chengde has become a tourist destination again because of the Mountain Resort.

We entered from the Lizheng Gate and first visited the palace area. Facing us was the original calligraphy of Emperor Qianlong, "Summer Resort". Although it is three hundred years old and there is obviously no mistake in the words, it still has infinite charm that is famous both at home and abroad. Tourists will definitely take pictures here, and we are no exception. Then we entered the Danbo Jingcheng Hall. All the pillars and doors and windows here are made of golden nanmu, which is very precious. The buildings in this palace area do not look magnificent, but their unique design, high-quality materials and grand production do not lose the style of the emperor's palace at all.

It was a really bad experience because I bought one extra ticket online and wanted to refund it, but was told that I couldn't get a refund. When I asked why I couldn't get a refund, the lady who sold the ticket said that because you didn't buy it online, we couldn't refund it. 😢 So everyone went there and confirmed the number of people before buying the tickets.

The Royal Garden is indeed worthy of its reputation. The scenery inside is copied from the beautiful scenery of Jiangnan. There is a scene at every step, the boat is sailing in the water, and people are swimming in the painting. Rehe is the shortest river in the world, haha. I went there a little late and was not able to visit the whole scenic area. The ticket plus the boat ticket and the fare cost 200 to 300 yuan per person, which is not a small price. It is worth going to spend a day to appreciate it carefully.

As expected of the emperor's summer resort, the greenery is very good. The emperor's rooms are all cool and dark (haha). It is very grand, with study, office, and living quarters. It is really a mountain resort, with lakes, willows, lotus flowers, and pavilions, all of which are very ancient. The weather was very good on the day of the tour, and the sun was shining brightly. Although it was a bit hot, it was quite cool wherever there were trees. It was just that everyone came here to "escape the heat" during the summer vacation, and there were crowds of people. I didn't finish the tour, so I went out to eat and rushed to the next attraction. It was a pity.

When we arrived at the villa, the parking lot was on the east side, close to Dehui Gate, so we entered the villa from Dehui Gate. In fact, we should have entered from Lizheng Gate. The Cultural Relics Museum of the Summer Resort is a one-way street that requires entry from the main gate.

After entering the villa, you first go to the bus stop for the mountain tour. The ticket costs 50 yuan, and you take the sightseeing bus up the mountain. The second parking point is Ermadao, which overlooks the Small Potala Palace area of the Outer Eight Temples. The whole journey takes more than an hour.

Take a car down the mountain, along Ruyizhou, Yanyu Tower to Rehe Spring, Jinshan, and exit from Shuixinxie, which also takes three to four hours.

Overall it's good, but compared to the scenery and service, the ticket plus additional facilities are a bit expensive. In fact, if you don't take a car or a boat, you won't have enough energy and time. If you don't find a tour guide, the house won't look good. So the comprehensive consumption is relatively high.

I regretted going to this place once. The service attitude is not good and the route design is not good. I don't want to go there again. I don't even want to give it one star.

It is very big and beautiful, the scenery is cleverly conceived, and the architecture is ingenious. As a tourist attraction, I can only say eight words about it: you must come, and you can't come again, because there are just too many people!

It was very difficult to find a parking space, so I ended up parking at a parking lot that charged 50 yuan for an unlimited time. The ticket was 140 yuan, not including other transportation.
