Jinshanling Great Wall

Jinshanling Great Wall is located at the junction of Luanping County, Chengde City and Miyun County, Beijing City, about 130 kilometers away from downtown Beijing. It is a section of the Great Wall built by Qi Jiguang, a famous general who fought against Japanese invaders in the Ming Dynasty. This section of the Great Wall is built on the mountains and is winding. When you climb the Great Wall, you will have a very broad and spectacular view. It is the most beautiful and majestic section of the Great Wall in the Ming Dynasty. Moreover, the Jinshanling Great Wall has not been rebuilt yet. Compared with the Great Wall in other parts of Beijing, it still maintains its original appearance and has a simple and pure feeling. There are not many tourists here, and it is quiet and comfortable to play. It is an excellent choice for visiting the Great Wall in the suburbs of Beijing.
The entire Jinshanling Great Wall is about 10.5 kilometers long, and the tourist area in the scenic area is about 5-6 kilometers. The Great Wall is on the ridgeline on the south side of the scenic area, running east-west. On the north side of the Great Wall is a nearly parallel road, and the starting point on the east side of the road is the entrance to the scenic area.
There are three forks on the road leading to the Great Wall on the top of the mountain, namely Hanlonggou near the entrance of the scenic area, Shalinggou in the middle of the road and Zhuanduokou at the end of the deepest road. It takes about an hour to climb up the Great Wall from each entrance, which requires a certain amount of physical strength. There is a cable car at Hanlonggou. It only takes 20 minutes to take the cable car up the mountain. It costs 40 yuan for a one-way trip and 80 yuan for a round trip. Those who are not physically fit can choose to take it. It takes about half a day to visit the entire scenic area. If you come from downtown Beijing, you need to prepare for about a day.
Conventional tourists will choose to take the cable car from the side of Hanlonggou to the top of the Great Wall, then go down from the west side and return to the gate of the scenic area along the road. If you want to challenge your physical strength and walk the whole way, it is recommended to go up the mountain from Zhuanduokou and visit the Great Wall from west to east. In this way, the scenery will gradually become more wonderful. Moreover, the east end of the Great Wall is connected to the Simatai Great Wall Scenic Area. If you follow this route, you can buy a ticket to enter the Simatai Great Wall directly after visiting the Jinshanling Great Wall, and visit the two scenic spots together.
The main attraction of this section of the Great Wall is its winding and steep course. The views on both sides are very broad and spectacular, making it very suitable for photography. The background of CCTV's advertisement promoting civilization was also shot here.
The easternmost section of the Great Wall is called the Text Brick Great Wall. Seventy percent of the bricks are engraved with text, recording the manufacturing unit and time of the bricks. It is very unique and precious, so you can take a good look at it. In addition, this section of the Great Wall has not been rebuilt too much, so it is still relatively simple, and you can also see the most authentic appearance of the Great Wall here.
In recent years, it has become popular to shoot sunrise and sunset at the Jinshanling Great Wall. Photography enthusiasts can consider staying overnight nearby for shooting. There are several farmhouses at the entrance of the scenic area. The price of a standard room is about 100 yuan, and meals can be provided. There are several hotels available for accommodation in Simatai New Village, 4-5 kilometers south of the scenic area. The price of a standard room is about 200 yuan.

I hope this travelogue is helpful to you!

The Great Wall and Jinshan stand out.

The Jinshanling Great Wall is beautiful all year round. April in the Gregorian calendar is the season for flower viewing. I went there in late April, and the flowering period was a little over. I suggest you go there in early April.

The Jinshanling Great Wall is famous for its beauty. The entire Great Wall is about ten kilometers long and there are many ways to play. You can study the corresponding routes in advance based on your personal time, preferences and physical strength.

The scenic spot mainly has the main entrance and the east gate. There is a large parking lot at the main entrance. Those who drive their own cars can park their cars in the parking lot and then go to the visitor center to buy tickets. Adult tickets are 65 yuan, and tickets purchased on the online platform are 60 yuan. There is still a distance from the visitor center to the ticket gate of the scenic spot. The scenic spot provides a shuttle bus, which costs 10 yuan per person.

The scenic area is well-equipped and many photography enthusiasts come here to take pictures of the sea of clouds, sunrise and sunset of the Great Wall, which is very beautiful.

There is a place in the scenic area where you can camp.

In short, this scenic spot is suitable for multiple visits, taking different routes, feeling the beauty of the Great Wall, feeling the lines of the Great Wall, and feeling the spring, summer, autumn and winter of the Great Wall!

The Jinshanling Great Wall was built during the period when Qi Jiguang, a patriotic general of the Ming Dynasty, served as the commander-in-chief of Jizhen (1567-1586). It is the most important section of the Great Wall and is known as "The Great Wall, Jinshan is the most beautiful".

The Jinshanling Great Wall is the best-preserved section of the Ming Great Wall, and is called the essence of the Ming Great Wall by experts. Built on the mountains and with barriers set up by the water, the majestic city rises and falls like a steel wall. The carved towers stand in rows, like armored soldiers guarding the pass, "one man guarding the pass, ten thousand men cannot open it", and it is famous for its wide field of vision, dense enemy towers, and unique architectural defense system.

We walked up and down the road, and it was really difficult to walk! There were many slopes and they were quite steep, but every place we went to was amazing. It seems that among all the Great Walls we walked through, the scenery of Jinshanling is really good!

This attraction is really worth visiting~~The ticket price is very attractive, and the scenery is even more beautiful. The only drawback is that not many people come here, and the vendors are not here. We don’t have enough water, so we have to drink it sparingly!

Here, I have to mention that the design of the observation deck is perfect. You can appreciate the entire Great Wall up close. The management in this regard is really worthy of praise. Another thing that needs to be praised is that the toilets in the scenic area are really perfect. There is hot water supply and heating throughout the area. The water for washing hands is also hot. Before we planned to leave the Jinshanling Great Wall, it added a very good impression. We walked on the road in the scenic area and saw that Jinchangling is really beautiful in spring, summer, autumn and winter. I don’t know if I can see its four seasons with my own eyes in the future~ Let’s go off topic, look at the pictures, and continue!

We walked along the most beautiful scenery and took many satisfying photos. It was worth the trip!

We went up the Great Wall from the East Gate. The whole map is shown very clearly here, and there are routes divided according to time and physical strength. I hope it is useful. In order to make it clear for everyone, I won’t do a jigsaw puzzle here!

Sitting on the cable car and overlooking the Jinshanling Great Wall, it looks like a giant dragon lingering on the land of China, stretching endlessly. Compared with the crowded Badaling Great Wall, the Jinshanling Great Wall seems more lonely and noble, just like the saying: There is a beauty in the north, peerless and independent. There is no crowding and noise, and few Chinese tourists can be seen. Instead, from time to time, you can see foreign friends walking together and saying "hello" to you in a strange accent.

The Jinshanling Great Wall is not only majestic and powerful, but also beautiful and graceful. It deserves the reputation of "The Great Wall, Jinshan is the most beautiful". Looking at the Great Wall that shuttles between the towering mountains and the vast forests, looking back at the ups and downs of the Great Wall, thinking back to the smoke of war in those days, I can't help but sigh that the smoke of war at the border has dissipated, leaving the world with a beautiful and poetic scroll. Today, the Jinshanling Great Wall has been given priority protection as a world cultural heritage, and has become a favorite attraction for foreign hiking enthusiasts, and has become a representative of the "most beautiful Great Wall".

July 2, 2019 was sunny. It was the second day of my arrival in Gubeikou. Today’s plan was to visit Gubei Water Town. However, in order to avoid the sun during the day and because Gubei Water Town is known as a “night tour”, we arranged to enter the town in the afternoon. The owner of the B&B recommended a good place to enjoy the coolness, Jinshanling Forest Park or Simatai New Village Forest Park in Gubeikou Town. The park is built at the border of the Jinshanling Great Wall in Luanping County, Chengde City, Hebei Province. In a conversation with the only manager in the park, I learned that the park was originally connected to the Jinshanling Great Wall Scenic Area. Later, due to conflicts of interest, the Jinshanling Great Wall blocked the way. The top of the mountain under the blue sky and white clouds in the picture below is the Jinshanling Great Wall.

Jinshanling Great Wall, 65 yuan. The scenic area eco-friendly bus, round trip 20 yuan.

Play time starts from 5.

The Jinshanling Great Wall is definitely the best of the Great Wall. Not only is it full of mountains and well-maintained, the roads are also easy to walk on, but more importantly, there are few people, so you don’t need to worry about avoiding places when taking photos.

By Snowball Dance |

Jinshanling Great Wall is located in Luanping County, Hebei Province. Compared with Badaling Great Wall, it is more majestic, more ancient and beautiful. This section of the Great Wall is built on the mountain, surrounded by steep cliffs and precipitous peaks. Therefore, it is also a military fortress and a battleground for military strategists. In those days, Qi Jiguang, a general of the Ming Dynasty, rebuilt the fortifications to prevent foreign invasion and built it into a high and wide defense facility.

There is a direct bus from the city to Jinshanling Great Wall, which is super convenient! We went there before the Mid-Autumn Festival, and there were not many people. The weather was very good, the scenery was very pure, and there was no commercialism. There were many steep slopes, and the amount of exercise was relatively large. If you usually climb mountains or exercise, you won't feel particularly strenuous.

An unexpected weekend trip to the Great Wall, the least visited Great Wall, very good! There are few people but the Great Wall has its own characteristics, and I fully enjoy the golden autumn season in the north. The downside is that the facilities in the park are a bit too artificial, but the real Great Wall is good. You can also see the starry sky at night in the hotel!

By Working class |

The Jinshanling Great Wall is built on the mountain, magnificent and suitable for viewing in all seasons.

By Pseudo off-road in the sun |

I have been to Badaling, Mutianyu, and Simatai. I personally think Jinshanling is the best. It has both ups and downs and flat sections. It is suitable for hiking. The ticket price is moderate. There are not many tourists. The public facilities are basically complete. It is recommended to go there quickly when there are not many tourists.

By amanda |

A highly recommended scenic spot. First, it is not far from Beijing, so you can visit it on weekends. The ticket is sold at the entrance for 65 yuan, and 60 yuan on Qunar.com. The scenic area is divided into the East Gate, the Main Gate, and the West Gate. Those with good physical strength can go up the West Gate, climb all the way to the east, then go down the mountain, and then share a car to pick up the car at the West Gate. It is estimated that the whole journey will take about 6 to 7 hours. I arrived at the main gate at 7 o'clock in the morning, took the cable car at 8 o'clock, went up and climbed west, returned to the Dianjiangtai at 10 o'clock, and returned to the main gate a little more than 11 o'clock. Second, the scenery is good, magnificent and magnificent, and there are not many tourists. You can climb slowly and enjoy it quietly. There was no wind and cloudless on the day I climbed. Climbing west in the morning was relatively sunny, but you still need to bring a sun hat and sunglasses. The temperature is similar to that in Beijing. It is cold in the morning and evening during the National Day holiday. It is recommended to wear a long-sleeved T-shirt and a jacket. At this time, the leaves on the mountain are not red, and there are few yellow ones. The really beautiful ones are in late October. Third, the scenic area is well developed. There are cable cars going up and down the mountain at the main gate, but they only run at 8 am. The one-way fare is 40 yuan and the round trip fare is 60 yuan. I took the cable car up and down by myself, which really saved a lot of physical strength. There are kiosks and toilets every few guardhouses in the Great Wall, so you dare to drink water without worrying about finding a toilet. Mineral water is 8 yuan on the mountain and 4 yuan at the entrance of the scenic area. Fourth, the overall restoration is okay. The road is wide and flat, and the steps are gentle and steep. Children are no problem, but the elderly over 65 years old are estimated to be very strenuous and have to do what they can. There are also trekking poles that do not play a big role in the steps. Fifth, the surrounding facilities are complete, there are many farmhouses, and eating and accommodation should not be a problem. We stayed in the Banyan Tree next to the main gate. The environment is okay, the room is average, 1199 a night including breakfast, not recommended, but if it is expensive to eat in the farmhouse, you can also go to the Banyan Tree. Two meat dishes and two bowls of rice can be taken for more than 100 yuan. Sixth, parking. Most people come here by car. I don't know about other gates. The main gate parking lot is 1550 meters away from the entrance of the scenic area. The shuttle bus to the entrance is charged separately. The advantage of staying at Banyan Tree is that you can drive to the hotel parking lot, and then take the hotel shuttle bus to the hotel lobby entrance. The hotel is within 100 meters walk from the entrance of the scenic area.

By leo2006 |

When we arrived at Jinshanling at 9 o'clock, there were very few tourists and the parking lot was empty. In fact, when we came out at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, there were not many people either. It can be said that there were very few people. After buying tickets from the parking lot, take the battery car to the ticket gate. After entering the ticket gate, walk 20 minutes to the foot of the Great Wall. It is recommended to go left from Zhuanduokou to the Great Wall, that is, to the east. Those with good physical strength can go to Houchuankou to go down the Great Wall. Those with average physical strength can go to Xiaojinshanlou to take the cable car to go down the Great Wall. Those with great physical strength can go east all the way to Wangjing Tower. After Wangjing Tower is Simatai Great Wall, of course, there will be an additional charge.

By Zcy |

The Jinshanling Great Wall is really worth recommending. The most important thing is that the scenery is nice and there are few people. It seems that many foreign friends come to the Jinshanling Great Wall, and there are also many self-driving tourists from Beijing and Hebei. There are really many people who come from Beijing by car. In particular, it rained on the first day, and many photographers in Beijing got up early in the morning on the second day and drove to the Jinshanling Great Wall to take pictures of the fog!

By green |

Jinshanling Great Wall is located near the Beijing-Chengde Expressway. You can't miss it if you pass by. It is said that the image of the Great Wall when CCTV played the national anthem in the early morning was taken here. This section of the Great Wall has some repaired and some unrepaired parts, with a sense of historical vicissitudes. The road on the Great Wall is also quite thrilling. Many stairs are steep and deep, and you need help to walk down. It took us a total of 2 and a half hours to walk this section of the Great Wall. Although it was tiring, it was very enjoyable because there were few people and the scenery was beautiful.

By babyblue |

This is a scenic spot that exceeded my expectations. Before entering, I had no idea it was so beautiful.

The Jinshanling Great Wall is a scenic spot that was restored and rebuilt on the basis of the Ming Great Wall. A small section of the Ming Great Wall ruins has been preserved in the scenic area, and the rest has been rebuilt.

The biggest surprise of visiting Jinshanling is that there are few people and the scenery is beautiful. We have plenty of time to take pictures. In addition, I saw many photography enthusiasts carrying long guns and short guns in the scenic area. They brought their own dry food and stayed for a whole day just to take pictures of the Great Wall at different times. It is almost impossible to take pictures of the Great Wall at Badaling all day long.

A little tip is that if you are not a hiking enthusiast, don't climb up by yourself. It takes more than 40 minutes to climb from the gate of the scenic area to the top of the Great Wall. It is better to take the cable car up and down.

Praise: The cable car at Jinshanling is half price for seniors and children!

Next, let’s talk about the shortcomings:

1. The supporting hotel for the scenic area has not been completed yet. Currently, you can only stay in the surrounding farmhouses.

2. Currently, the only way to reach the scenic area is by car. There is basically no public transportation. Travel agencies rarely include Jinshanling in one-day tours, which is why there are so few people.

3. The parking lot in the scenic area is a bit of a rip-off. There are obviously spaces near the gate of the scenic area, but the parking lot is located far away. If you don't take an electric car, you have to walk two kilometers to get to the gate of the scenic area, and the electric car costs money.

In short, the flaws are not enough to outweigh the merits. I tolerated the scheming of the scenic area managers for the sake of the beauty of the Great Wall. What's more, they gave half-price cable car rides to the elderly and children.

Jinshanling Great Wall is located in Luanping County, Chengde City. It is most convenient to drive by yourself. You can reach it directly from the Beijing-Chengde Expressway. There are two gates in the scenic area, the East Gate and the Main Gate. Get off the highway and go to the East Gate first. Enter from the East Gate and you can go directly to the East Five Eyes Tower. Enter from the main gate, you can go to Zhuanduokou, Shalingkou, Houchuankou Tower, or take a cable car to Xiaojinshan Tower. The farthest west of the Jinshanling Great Wall is Longyukou, and the farthest east is Wangjing Tower. The Great Wall is a symbol of the motherland. These walls built with bricks and stones are the pride of our descendants of Yan and Huang. The Jinshanling Great Wall is the essence of the Great Wall. At a glance, the Jinshanling Great Wall is winding and undulating. The most attractive thing here is the incomplete wall in the vicissitudes of history. The ticket for the Jinshanling Great Wall is 55 yuan, half price for students, and online booking also saves 5 yuan. The scenic area can enter the park twice, and fingerprints need to be taken. There is no parking fee. I don’t know if it is because of the festival. There are many farmhouses around the scenic area. There are not many people in winter, but it is the peak season in summer.

By Thriving |

There are few people, the scenery is beautiful, and it retains its ancient and original flavor. It is better to stay for one night and have a leisurely time.

The bathroom is very clean and the view is very beautiful. 5 stars recommended

The scenery is great, there are not too many tourists, it is very comfortable ~ but the supporting facilities are not up to date, the only four-star hotel is under construction, you can only stay in a farmhouse... The environment of the farmhouse is hard to describe hahahaha! But the Jinshanling Great Wall is still worth a visit.

Overview: Jinshanling Great Wall is the most beautiful section of the Great Wall, and is known as "the Great Wall, Jinshan is the most beautiful". It is also the best place to take photos of the Great Wall in Beijing!

I have climbed the Great Wall many times with my companions to appreciate and admire the beauty of the Jinshanling Great Wall in every season.

The Jinshanling Great Wall is even better than the world-famous Badaling Great Wall. There is no sign of excessive restoration at the Jinshanling Great Wall. It retains the ancient charm of the Great Wall and is magnificent. There are fewer tourists here, most of whom are students and photography enthusiasts, so it is quiet and comfortable.

I don't know when I started to like climbing the Great Wall, and Jinshanling Great Wall is my favorite place to go! The Great Wall is majestic and magnificent, with a perfect combination of humanities and natural landscapes. The Great Wall is the most luxurious mountain line in the world. Its beauty cannot be fully described in words.

I like to walk in the most profound historical ruins and experience life.

I like standing on the most beautiful observation deck in the world, overlooking the mountains and broadening my mind.

I like to touch every brick and tile here and feel the changes in the world that this place has experienced.

【Warm Tips】

1. Ticket price: RMB 65 in peak season (March 16-November 15), RMB 55 in off-season (November 16-March 15 of the following year).

Students with student ID cards and senior citizens aged 60-69 with ID cards can enjoy half-price discounts (32 yuan in peak season and 27 yuan in off-season); senior citizens over 70 years old and children under 1.2 meters are free of charge with ID cards. The cable car in the scenic area costs 40 yuan for a one-way trip and 80 yuan for a round trip.

You can enter the park twice within 24 hours with your fingerprint and ticket (you must declare that you are purchasing a ticket for double entry when purchasing the ticket).

2. Transportation: It takes less than two hours to drive along the Beijing-Chengde Expressway from Beijing.

3. Opening hours: 6:00-19:00 (there is someone on duty at the gate 24 hours a day, and the opening hours are adjusted appropriately according to the sunrise and sunset times, but you are not allowed to stay overnight in the scenic area).

4. Website: ***

5. Food and accommodation: You can book Jinshanling Farmhouse in advance. The accommodation conditions of the farmhouse are acceptable and the price is moderate. The closer the selected farmhouse is to the scenic spot, the better, which is convenient for sunrise and sunset photography.

Suitable places to visit. This is my third time here. I am a little tired of driving by myself. The bus is a little annoying. Taking the bus is too much trouble. Is there a cheaper carpooling tour?

By Martian User |

There are fewer people, which is the best. Some parts of the Great Wall have not been restored, which looks very interesting. However, it may be difficult to get there if you are not driving yourself.

Today I drove to Jinshanling Great Wall Chengde and saw a sign in front of the scenic spot, saying that it would be temporarily closed from June 1, 2017 to December 31, 2018. I saw the Great Wall beacon tower at the foot of the mountain, which was still very steep. It would be great if I could go up!

By Doraemon Journey to the West |

This is the most beautiful Great Wall I have ever seen. In order to upgrade to a 5A scenic spot, it has stopped receiving visitors since June 1, 2017, and the resumption date is to be determined. Tickets purchased on site can be entered twice, but tickets purchased online can only be entered once.

It's quite a hassle to take the bus to Dialogue, but the scenery is nice, the sunrise and sunset are great!

The Jinshanling Great Wall was rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty. Climbing up from Zhuanduoguan, you can reach the main scenic area of Jiangjunling to the east. The Great Wall to the west is more wild, with broken walls, rugged terrain, and incomplete steps. Coupled with the setting sun, it is a perfect combination of majesty and desolation.

I came across the Jinshanling Great Wall on the way, but I didn't go up. However, I was awe-inspiring to see the watchtower standing on the towering mountain in the distance.

Jinshanling Great Wall is located in Luanping County, Chengde City, Hebei Province, adjacent to Miyun County, Beijing, 130 kilometers away from downtown Beijing. It was built by the patriotic general Qi Jiguang of the Ming Dynasty when he served as the commander-in-chief of Jizhen (1567-1586).

Located in Luanping County, Hebei Province, bordering Miyun County, Beijing, it is just a short drive from the Jinshanling Service Area on the Beijing-Chengde Expressway. This is Jinshanling, built by Qi Jiguang and his troops. It feels like the most distinctive section of the Great Wall I have ever visited. Not only are there three unique features, including the horse-blocking stones, bricks with inscriptions, and barrier walls, but the two-story beacon tower is also the first time I have seen it. It is worthy of the reputation of "the Great Wall, the unique beauty of Jinshan".

The scenery of Jinshanling is a generous gift from nature. The Yanshan Mountains are endless and colorful. The Great Wall is like a sleeping dragon, majestically sitting on the top of the mountain.

Standing there, you will be impressed by the magnificent mountains and rivers of the motherland, and a thousand proud feelings will rise in your heart.

In autumn, the forests in the valleys of Jinshanling are dyed with various beautiful colors. The smoke of war is gone, and the years are carefree. It is a place that makes people linger! It is a place you can visit many times!

(The shuttle bus time is difficult to control, so please consult and pay attention.)

The Jinshanling Great Wall is located in Luanping County, Chengde, Hebei Province, more than 100 kilometers away from Beijing. It was built by Qi Jiguang, a patriotic general of the Ming Dynasty. It is 10.5 kilometers long, with 5 passes of different sizes and 67 watchtowers. It has a wide field of vision, dense watchtowers, and exquisite architectural art. It is known as "the Great Wall, Jinshan is unique". The scenery here is beautiful and there are few people. It is a paradise for photography enthusiasts. The day we came, although it was the second day of National Day, there were still very few people; although the weather was a little hazy and there was no sunset, you could still see many people carrying long guns, short guns and tripods. Compared with other Great Walls I have visited before, there are many ruins here, which seem to be full of vicissitudes and history. Compared with Badaling, which was squeezed into a bear during the Golden Week, it is worth coming here!

It has a long history and is the best preserved section. It is said that the Great Wall is the most beautiful in Jinshan.

Jinshanling Great Wall is the easiest to climb, suitable for the elderly and children, and also the most beautiful. You can buy a second ticket for 65 yuan, and use it again the next morning to watch the sunrise. The farmhouse outside the scenic area is very cheap, about 150 yuan. We stayed in the Navy Farmhouse, which is very convenient to the entrance of the scenic area in two minutes. It is best to start climbing the Great Wall after two or three in the afternoon and before five the next day. You can watch the sunset and sunrise at these two times, and there are fewer people. Few tourists broke into the camera when taking pictures.

In both 2013 and 2014, Jinshanling was captured in mid-May.

The first time was a group activity organized by the unit. We climbed the Great Wall in the hot sun at noon. Although it was only a short section, I felt very uncomfortable under the scorching sun.

The second time I went with a friend. We arranged for food and lodging at the farmhouse on Saturday afternoon, and then went hiking to take pictures. We got up late on Sunday, so we didn't see the sunrise, but took a few pictures.

Jinshanling is indeed majestic, powerful and relatively complete. If the weather is good, you can really take some photos of it.

Transportation: Take the Jinshanling Tourist Line at Wangjing West Station, and cross the road from Exit C (Line 15) to the station. However, there is only one tourist bus per day, which departs at 8:00 a.m. and returns at 15:00 p.m. Friends who are going to play for a day can take this bus, but the time is tight. Don't worry if you miss the special line, there is also a shuttle bus to Luanping at the station, and you can get off at the Jinshanling Service Area halfway, just like the special line. The shuttle bus runs about half an hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon. There is a free shuttle bus to the west gate of the scenic area at the drop-off point. The number of shuttle buses is limited. Please see the pictures below for the specific time. It should be noted that on the return trip, you must call to reserve a shuttle bus seat at the Jinshanling Service Area, otherwise you can't get on the bus. I didn't know at the time, and I waited for nearly two hours~ It is said that tickets can also be bought at the canteen there, but I don't know what happened, so I didn't dare to buy it. The ticket price is the same, 32 yuan, but the shuttle bus can be swiped, and there is a discount in the Beijing area.

Accommodation: There is a farmhouse at the west gate of the scenic area, which is only a few minutes' walk away. The price ranges from 120 to 150. It is more expensive on weekends than on weekdays. It is said that it can rise to 300 during holidays. You can order meals at the store, and breakfast is 10 yuan per person. There is also a Jinshan Hotel at the west gate, which is also very close, and the price is not clear. There are also several farmhouses near the east gate of the scenic area, but they are a little farther away from the east gate, and it takes more than ten minutes to walk. The prices on both sides are similar. The advantage of living near the east gate is that there are fewer people and it is quieter. However, the boss of the hotel where I stayed at that time promised to pick us up to the scenic area and the service area, but he did not send us to the service area because there were many guests eating lunch, so we walked for more than ten minutes under the hot sun. Since he sent us to see the sunrise in the middle of the night, I will not expose it. Remind friends who are staying here not to check out too early, lest the store fail to fulfill its promise.

Tickets: 65 for adults, half price for seniors and students. If you want to enter the park twice, you must tell the ticket inspector and leave your fingerprints.

There are few people and the scenery is good. I highly recommend it. The scenic area is divided into the East Gate and the Main Gate. There is no cable car at the East Gate and it will be closed at night. There is a cable car at the Main Gate to go up the mountain. We took the cable car up the mountain (the cable car was very slow and it was still very hot inside...), and then walked about 5 minutes on the dirt road to the Great Wall. Going east to the East Five Eyes Tower is the way up the mountain from the East Gate. Beyond that is the ancient Great Wall, which has not been renovated. The road surface is uneven, and some walls are gone. Then turn back to the west and go down the mountain at Shalingkou. The whole journey takes about 1.5 hours, including looking at the scenery and taking pictures. After going down the mountain, I found that there was not much road up the mountain, and I could walk up the mountain. The scenery is very good, mainly because there are few people and you can take pictures no matter how you want. There is a farmhouse at the door where you can stay, and you can go up the Great Wall to take pictures of the stars at night.

At present, the direct bus from Beijing to Jinshanling has been changed to depart from Wangjing West. I suggest you don't take the wrong bus. I just went there yesterday. The earliest bus departs at 8:00. Jinshanling is more beautiful than other Great Walls, and there are fewer people.

The old version of the news broadcast was filmed at the Great Wall. It is well-preserved and not crowded with tourists. You can calm down and appreciate the majesty of the Great Wall. It is very shocking. It is worth a visit.

After passing Gubeikou, you will reach Jinshanling in less than 30km on G101 National Highway. If you take the expressway, there is a direct service area exit at Jinshanling. If Badaling is majestic, then Jinshanling is winding and beautiful, with a new view at every step. There are relatively few tourists. If time permits and it is a sunny day, you can stay until the sunset, the scenery is beautiful!

The Jinshanling Great Wall is not as famous as the Badaling Great Wall in Beijing, nor is it as eye-catching as the starting and ending points of the Shanhaiguan Great Wall and the Jiayuguan Great Wall. It does not have the profound history of Qin bricks and Han tiles, but it has a natural beauty, a beauty of incompleteness, and an original beauty.

The Jinshanling Great Wall is not coy, self-deprecating, unkempt, and willing to be poor and dilapidated. It displays a true beauty of imperfection, which is a temperament not found in other Great Walls.

I love the Jinshanling Great Wall.

The Jinshanling Great Wall is located at the junction of Beijing and Hebei. Generally, you can drive there by yourself. Get off the highway at the Jinshanling exit, drive in the opposite direction, enter the ramp, and walk 5 kilometers along the road signs to the main entrance of the scenic area. There is a winding mountain road on the road, so drive carefully. The ticket price for the scenic area is 110 in the peak season and 55 in the off-season. It takes half an hour to walk from the gate to the Great Wall. You can take a cable car, but the cable car is not open in winter. We took a van up, which took less than 5 minutes and cost 20 yuan per person for a round trip. I prefer the Great Wall in winter to summer, because it is more vast and majestic. It takes three hours to visit the Great Wall along the entire line. In addition, the sunset in Jinshanling is very beautiful, and it is more than five o'clock in winter. It is recommended to see it.

It is said that it is very good to watch the sunrise. One ticket can enter twice. An ID card is required. Some lines are relatively smooth.

The Jinshanling Great Wall and the Simatai Great Wall in Beijing are adjacent to each other, separated by the Gubei Reservoir. Jinshanling is part of the essence of the Ming Great Wall. It was built by the patriotic general Qi Jiguang and stands on the backbone of the Yanshan Mountains. Jinshanling is very suitable for photography. In autumn, you can watch the autumn leaves all over the mountains from the ridge, and the snow scene in winter is also very spectacular. I once climbed Jinshanling with my fellow hikers from a wild road after the New Year's snow. Facing the continuous snow-capped mountains, I really felt the grandeur of overlooking the mountains.

Jinshanling is located at the junction of Hebei and Beijing. It is much less famous than Badaling, and there are not many people even on holidays. In terms of transportation, it is very convenient to drive to the Jingcheng Expressway, which takes an hour and a half. In the peak season, you can take the special bus to Wangjing West, and in the off-season, you can take the intercity bus to Luanping. There are sections of the Great Wall on both sides now. The west side can only go to the West Five Eyes Tower. A little further away is the military restricted area. The east side is also blocked from Simatai. It takes 4 hours to walk the whole way, but for photography enthusiasts, it is necessary to stay in a farmhouse to take pictures of sunrise and sunset.

Compared with the crowds of people at Badaling in Beijing, Jinshanling Scenic Area is obviously much less crowded. Even on a weekend with very good weather, we didn't see crowds. The eastern section of the scenic area is longer, and the city is well-preserved and suitable for sightseeing. The western section of the city is seriously damaged, revealing the vicissitudes of history, and is more suitable for photography. Jinshanling Great Wall is a good place for photography around Beijing all year round. You can stay in a nearby farmhouse for photography. One ticket to the scenic area can enter the park twice. Adult tickets are 65 yuan, student tickets are 32, and group tickets are 45. It is said that those who live in nearby farmhouses can enjoy group tickets. Transportation: Drive along the Beijing-Chengde Expressway to the Jinshanling parking area and take the county road. The place to get off is not very clear, so it is easier to drive past. There is a commuter bus to the scenic area every morning at Wangjing Station on Metro Line 15.

The Great Wall of China, Jinshan Mountain is unique, and the scenery of the Jinshanling Great Wall is very good. We did not choose to take the cable car, but climbed up from another mountain trail. Perhaps because of this reason, there are fewer tourists here, and the Great Wall has retained a relatively ancient appearance. There are also many people who come here to take pictures of the sunset.

By Wandering |

There were very few people there, and it was a rainy day. When the smoke was rising, the visibility was less than 20 meters. There were many artillery batteries and beautiful scenery. It was not overly renovated, and there were ruins in many places.

Very beautiful. The accommodation is not expensive. Compared with the Simatai Great Wall next door, there are fewer people and the slope of the Great Wall is also gentler.

Jinshanling Great Wall has always been an important point that photography enthusiasts cannot miss! On the way back along the Beijing-Chengde Expressway, you can stay at Jinshanling, take pictures of the sunset, and take the cable car in the morning to take pictures of the sunrise, which are all excellent choices!

The east gate of Jinshanling is closed in winter, and you can only climb up through the main gate. There are east and west sections on both sides of the main gate. I chose to climb the west section first, return and then climb the east section, which proves that this may be correct. The west section of Jinshanling is very short, and you need to return to the main gate by the original route to exit the scenic area or continue to climb the east section. Fortunately, it is short, so it basically takes one and a half to two hours to go back and forth. Starting from the main gate to the east, you can directly reach the east gate. The east gate is closed in winter, and it is still very far away. It starts from more than twelve o'clock and it takes more than two forty to climb from the main gate to Houchuankou. The instructions in the scenic area need to be strengthened to facilitate tourists to choose routes. PS: It seems that the cableway is not open in the off-season in winter. Starting from the Five Eyes Tower to the west, the repair of the Great Wall is not so good. Basically, a lot of the original appearance of the Great Wall is preserved, especially the last section. The Great Wall has collapsed to only half its width and is covered with weeds.

The western section is more authentic, you can walk there if you like.

The eastern section, starting from the main entrance, is the former part of Xiaojinshan Building, which has been well-repaired and has 4A quality.

The section from Dajinshan Tower to Houchuankou is not well maintained. It looks like it was repaired a long time ago but was later damaged by rain and other reasons. The section from Houchuankou to Gaojianlou is different from other places. The Great Wall does not have arrow walls or walls on both sides. The slope is not small, and it is a bit tiring to walk.

The high-rise building is above the Hualou building, and the steps are particularly difficult to climb.

It took about 30 minutes to go down the mountain from Houchuankou, at a moderate pace. The distance to Houchuankou was about 3 kilometers. Go down the mountain and go directly to the ticket gate (the upper entrance of the cableway). Jinshanling Great Wall Route: Self-driving, starting from the Fifth Ring Beijing-Chengde Expressway, after paying the toll at the toll gate at the junction of Beijing and Hebei, continue to the Jinshanling Service Area, enter the service area (do not drive through, there is a sign to the Jinshanling Great Wall), turn right immediately after entering (about a 300-degree U-turn), go forward, you will see signs for two roads (Beijing and Jinshanling Great Wall), go out of the highway in the direction of Jinshanling Great Wall, you do not need to pay the highway toll here, go straight along the road, after about 7 or 8 kilometers you will see signs (towards Jinshanling Great Wall and Mi San Road), turn left to enter the Jinshanling Great Wall Scenic Area.

The restaurants in the scenic area are closed in winter. There are some farmhouses and small shops outside the scenic area, which are all run by the villagers themselves, where you can eat and get supplies.

I didn't see any tourist buses, and there weren't many black taxis. I suggest you contact a taxi or tourist bus in advance, or drive. It's a good experience, and you don't need a very high physical condition. People with average physical fitness can go climbing and treat it as exercise.

The Great Wall climbing route: Zhuanduokou (the first stop of the Great Wall) - West Five Eyes Tower - Zhuanduokou - General Tower - Shalingkou - Xiaojinshan - Dajinshan - Houchuankou - Zhuanjiaolou - East Five Eyes Tower - Zhuanjiaolou - Houchuankou (the first stop of the Great Wall)

The total climbing time on the Great Wall was about 6.5 hours, including a 20-minute lunch stop. The time spent stopping to take pictures and view the scenery was longer than the walking time. Therefore, it took more time to go forward, and it was much faster to return. It took 2 hours to go from Houchuankou to Dongwuyanlou, and only half an hour to return.

I personally think that the section from Jiangjun Tower to Houchuankou is the most beautiful section of the Jinshanling Great Wall, and the section from Houchuankou to East Five Eyes Tower is a relatively difficult section to climb. Not many people go west from West Five Eyes Tower, as you can see from the photos below, there is grass growing on it. East Five Eyes Tower is the end point, and you are not allowed to climb forward. There are several scenic area staff watching. Looking east from East Five Eyes Tower, you can vaguely see Wangjing Tower on a dangerous peak in the distance. The staff said that on April 18, a female hiker unfortunately fell from Wangjing Tower and died.

During the climb, I saw many people coming up from Zhuanduokou and going down to Shalingkou. It was a pity. It would only take an hour and a half to walk slowly along this road. Why not walk to Houchuankou and then go down? It only takes half an hour to walk back from Houchuankou to the ticket gate. The road is paved with stones and is very easy to walk. The road from the ticket gate to Zhuanduokou is also very good and takes only more than ten minutes. Therefore, it is not recommended to take the cable car to go up and down, which will not save much time.

The ticket gate is about six or seven minutes’ walk from the parking lot. The ticket price is 65 yuan and parking is free.
