I really haven’t decided where to go for the National Day holiday this year, so after comprehensive consideration, I decided to choose a place close to home. I went to Saihanba last summer and wanted to see how beautiful the autumn scenery is this year. It was worth the trip, it was really amazing!

Yudaokou is really beautiful in autumn. It takes about 7 hours to get there from Tianjin.

Actually, you just pass by here on your way to Ulanbutong. Before, you had to pay a fee to pass by here (buy a ticket), but now you don’t have to. There is no toll gate and no one asks you. You can just pass by directly.

When we got off the car and walked towards the scenic area, we felt the wind was getting stronger and stronger. When we arrived at the lake area, it was already cold. In addition, the scenery was mediocre. Even the large windmills for wind power generation were not spectacular. They were far worse than those we had seen in Xinjiang and Gansu. So we ended the trip in a hurry and returned to the car.

Just passing by, but compared with the attractions behind, this place is really nothing!

The scenery along the way is beautiful, but because Scenic Avenue No. 1 was only opened this year, the surrounding supporting facilities are not perfect. For example, some supermarkets and toilets along the road have not been put into use; the supermarkets that have been put into use do not have refrigerators, etc. When traveling in summer, it is very hot and thirsty on the road, and there are basically no cold drinks to buy.

The red flowers and green grass on the roadside are really pleasing to the eyes. There are also lanes for cycling. Friends who like cycling may wish to come and experience it. There are beautiful scenery all the way, and we never stopped to stay. We rushed all the way to the Yudaokou Tourist Service Center. Only then did we realize that we had passed through the entire Yudaokou Scenic Area without realizing it. Across the road from the Tourist Service Center are three big characters of Chinese Dream made of red flowers. It is as warm as fire under the sun. The Tourist Service Center must have been built not long ago, and there is a suffocating decoration smell inside.

Stop the car to enjoy the view, and I would like to come again in the warm summer.

It is part of the Mulan Hunting Ground, a royal hunting ground in the Qing Dynasty, and a national scenic spot. The scenic area has original grasslands, wetlands, natural secondary forests, natural freshwater lakes, springs, rivers and other landscapes. When Emperor Kangxi was touring Outer Mongolia, he passed through the Ruyi River estuary in the territory and trained his troops here, so the Yudaokou got its name. The rich tourism resources, fresh air, pleasant climate and elegant environment are amazing to tourists.

I went to see snow on New Year's Day. It was about minus ten degrees Celsius at noon, and my hands were freezing, but it was better than in Snow Town.

There is little snow this year, so driving is very convenient, and there is no snow accumulation that causes traffic jams. For accommodation, you can stay in the Yudaokou Scenic Area, where there are small buildings with heating, which are very warm.

The price of a three-bedroom apartment is around 300, which varies from house to house. Some two-bedroom apartments are 300-400.

There is a restaurant called Saibeichun. Their three-bedroom apartment costs 300 yuan. I found out about this later when I was having dinner and heard someone asking about it. We had contacted the Bashang Renjia Manbu Shiguang in advance. One of the two-bedroom apartments costs 200 yuan and can accommodate up to five people. We lived there as a group of three.

The owner of the strolling time is very friendly and enthusiastic, and also told us how to avoid some locals forcing us to collect entrance fees in winter. We did meet some locals at the entrance of the scenic spot, and we got in smoothly after reporting the owner's name.

The price of the dishes will be slightly higher, after all, it is difficult to purchase here, which is understandable. The dishes are quite large and taste good. The braised lamb in Saibeichun costs 68 yuan per serving.

The unified ticket price for Yudaokou and Saihanba is 130 yuan. It is free for soldiers and half-price for seniors. Please remember to carry your tickets with you as there will be checkpoints along the way.

The natural scenery of the grassland gives you a feeling of returning to nature.

The scenery is nice. You won't get bored staying anywhere for half a day. There are accommodation, food, supermarkets and gas stations in the scenic area. However, after the peak season, accommodation must be booked in advance, otherwise it will be very troublesome. It is very cold in the morning and evening, and you need to wear down jackets and fleece pants. You need to pay an additional 20 yuan to go to the Grand Canyon. Although it is not much, it is very unpleasant. It is collected by the local herdsmen themselves. Many hilltops are not allowed to go up. Although there are signs, the words are very small, or the words are facing inside. If you don't pay attention, you will go in. Someone will come to fine you when you go in. I saw tourists and herdsmen fighting because of this. Don't let this affect your mood when you go out to play. The scenery of the grassland in autumn is still good.

The scenic spots in the scenic area are far apart, and you have to return to the original path after entering the scenic spot from the main road. However, the road signs in the scenic area are relatively well-placed, and there will be no problem following the signs. There are no good attractions in Yudaokou, but there is a Sun Lake Scenic Area that can be visited.

There is a combined ticket for this place and Saihanba, and the total ticket fee is 130 yuan. We approached from Yudaokou and exited from Saihanba, so we walked around and didn't go back. The scenery of Yudaokou is similar to that of Saihanba. Both are good.

Forests, grasslands, and pastures are the must-see places when visiting Mulan Paddock.

The combined ticket for Saihanba and Yudaokou costs 130 yuan! When we went there, it was the off-season. In early September, it was autumn, and people had to wear winter clothes here. A farmhouse owner at the entrance of the ticket office let us stay in her farmhouse for 100 yuan per day. She said she was a relative of hers and drove in from a small road, so she didn't buy tickets! The next day, she took us to visit Saihanba and Yudaokou as a tour guide, charging a tour guide fee of 100 yuan! It's a good deal! There were only three of us tourists in the whole Saihanba. We drove and rolled around to appreciate the grassland style, including the scenic spots: Taoshan Lake, Grand Canyon, Moon Lake, Qixing Lake, Saihan Tower... The Hongshan Military Horse Farm, which is separated by a distance, belongs to the Inner Mongolia border and requires an additional ticket of 120 yuan per person. It is recommended not to buy their lamb legs here. They are as big as grenades, and basically only bones are left. It costs 200 yuan. At this price, you can buy four pounds of lamb legs in Tianjin.

Grasslands, hills, streams, pastures, blue sky and white clouds are like a beautiful oil painting!

This is the closest place to the grassland I have ever been. The schedule was very tight, the time was not very good, and the scenery was average.

Going north along the Yuke Line, there is a grassland. The withered yellow grass and bright yellow trees are all autumn colors. There are also windmills. The autumn scenery is beautiful.

The scenic area has been rated as "Trustworthy Unit for Tourism Quality", "Unit with Outstanding Contribution to Tourism", "Advanced Unit for Tourism Work", "Top 100 Scenic Spots for Self-driving Tourism Brands in China", "Top Ten Forest Parks", "Civilized Scenic Spot for Tourism", and "Tourism Integrity Scenic Spot in Hebei Province". There are 700,000 mu of pristine grassland, 200,000 mu of wetlands, 21 natural freshwater lakes, 47 springs (mostly mineral springs), and 13 rivers in the scenic area. It is one of the sources of the Luan River.

We went there for 2 and a half days in total, and spent 1 and a half days in this scenic spot. Compared with the grassland in Inner Mongolia, the grassland in this scenic spot is mainly for tourists, and you can go in and play as you like. Feel the fun of the grassland. In Inner Mongolia, there are usually protective nets blocking the grassland, which are used for grazing. In most places, you can only drive on the road for sightseeing.

Relatively speaking, there are not many people here and the scenery is not amazing, but you can relax and have fun. We stayed in the forest cabin of Sun Lake Resort. Although it was very cold and not soundproof, it was my first time living in the forest. When I opened the door, I saw trees, flowers and plants, and it felt very comfortable.

Yudaokou is not really a scenic spot, right? Or maybe I didn’t go deep enough?

It feels like a small town here, with restaurants mostly along the roadside.

I felt the hotel was quite affordable on the way there, but when I came back I went to the same hotel again and it was obviously not as good as the one on the way there.

If you have enough time, you can go for a stroll around the Yudaokou grassland and forest scenery. Yanming Lake scenic spot has horse riding, motorcycles, carriages and other entertainment activities

Yudaokou Scenic Area is located in the southwest of Saihanba. It has complete supporting facilities. Many scenic spots are free of charge. In fact, it is also a large state-owned enterprise ranch. There are gas stations, restaurants, and entertainment facilities. The children played horse riding, rafting, and archery. This is the highlight of the entire trip. If time is limited, you can only go to one place. We went from Yudaokou to Saihanba and went straight to Ulanbutong. The altitude gradually increased, and the vegetation also gradually changed. The blue sky, green grass, woods and lakes remained unchanged.

The endless grassland, rolling and undulating, made me feel the Chi Lechuan and the Yinshan Mountains. The sky is like a dome, covering the four fields. The sky is vast, the fields are vast, the wind blows the grass low and you can see the magnificent scenery of cattle and sheep. Stop and walk along the way, walk and stop, make people linger.

There are not many special views in Yudaokou

Some people may think that Yudaokou is the entrance to Saihanba, but in my eyes, Yudaokou has a completely different beauty from Saihanba. The endless grassland and the mountains in the distance are really different. Compared with Saihanba, Yudaokou has more accommodations and the prices are not expensive. The two-bedroom apartment we stayed in cost only more than 300 yuan a day. But I have to remind you that there is no air conditioning or heating here, so you still need to prepare some clothes.

I just visited Yudaokou Scenic Area on the way and didn't visit it in detail. The overall feeling is that the scenery is characterized by savannah. There are also many "lakes".

It was my first time to visit Yudaokou Grassland Scenic Area. I brought my elderly and children with me. I was afraid that the facilities were not complete and the accommodation conditions were not good! I saw the name of Inn on Ctrip and immediately fell in love with this small and fresh inn! The reviews were also very good. The boss and his family were very enthusiastic. They took us out to play and designed a route for us. The inn has its own small vegetable garden, which is the enthusiasm and comfort we can't feel in big cities! Needless to say, the scenic spots! The boss also took us to drink mountain spring water and see the wolfsbane flowers all over the mountains. I think the grassland scenery is much better than the scenic spots. It's better for everyone to drive an off-road vehicle!

The grasslands are so beautiful in winter, especially when there are beautiful hanging flowers on the trees, which are no worse than the rime in Jilin.

Yudaokou Scenic Area is located in the Mulan Paddock Scenic Area. You will pass through this scenic area if you take the Yuke Line to Saihanba and Ulanbutong. The entrance fee to the scenic area is 130 yuan. Yudaokou Scenic Area used to be free in winter. But now someone is stopping at the entrance of the scenic area to collect money. They look like people doing fire inspections. They said that it is 65 yuan per person in the off-season. There are six of us in total. We bargained and gave 200 yuan to let us in. They didn't give us tickets. It feels that the charges are very irregular. It doesn't look like an official charge, but you can't go there without paying. After entering, I found that the cost performance is really not high. The more beautiful place is on a dam. In other places, although it is a vast snowfield, the shrubs on the roadside are more than one meter high. The shrubs on the car are very blocking the lens, and it is not easy to park on the snowy road. If you keep walking north, you will find that the scenery here is far inferior to Saihanba and Ulanbutong (besides, Saihanba and Ulanbutong do not charge money in winter). If you want to bypass the charge, you can take the Qisai Line to Shangba, which is free, but the snow on the road is thick and it is difficult to walk. If you take the Yuke Line through this scenic area and pay a fee to go up the dam, the road is relatively easy to walk, but after passing the center of Yudaokou, the road begins to accumulate snow and you need to walk slowly. However, it should be nice here in summer.

Every place in Saihanba is beautiful ~ worth a visit ~

Compared with Saihanba and Ulanbutong, Yudaokou Scenic Area is a bit tasteless. Its characteristics are not very obvious and the scenery is also average. It is recommended to leave more time for the other two places.

I went to Saihanba during the National Day Golden Week. Saihanba is located at the junction of forest and grassland. You can enjoy the grassland scenery and it is also a forest farm. You must drive to Saihanba because the scenic area is too large. Even if you drive, it is difficult to visit all the attractions in one day. For the grassland, summer is undoubtedly the best season to travel. If you want to see the forest farm, it is recommended to come later, because the layers and color changes of the forest will only appear after the leaves turn yellow in autumn. You can only sigh at the beauty of nature from the bottom of your heart. Attached are a few photos saved in my mobile phone for your reference. In addition, the traffic from Saihanba to Chifeng needs to be improved. If you take the highway, you can only detour from Chengde. If you go directly, there is only one national highway, which is a long distance and needs to pass through many villages. Therefore, if you come out of Saihanba and go to Chifeng, it is recommended to take the highway detour.

The Yudaokou Prairie in autumn is a scene of bountiful harvest, which is completely different from summer. It is very beautiful and special.

During the National Day holiday, food is very expensive. People are ripped off everywhere. A fried egg costs 80 yuan. There is no price on the menu. You have to pay it now. Generally, we dare not eat out. Fortunately, the owner of the family hotel we stayed in was nice and cooked for us. The local customs are still not very good. Several women in the Grand Canyon pulled a rope to stop the car. Each car costs 20 yuan. It really ruined the mood of sightseeing. It is recommended to have management. Don't let the service ruin a good place.

Since I passed by Yudaokou Scenic Area in a hurry, I didn’t have a deep impression of it.

The old road I often take is under construction, so I took the Yudaokou Mechanical Forest Farm. The scenery is still the same, with blue sky and white clouds. The scenery of the old road is better.

The natural scenery is very good. In May, it is still in the fire prevention period, with strong winds, low temperatures and cold weather, but there are few tourists. People who like quietness can go there. If you go there at the end of July, it is the peak tourist season and the accommodation conditions need to be improved.

This is the grassland. The temperature difference between day and night is very large. It is recommended to drive there. Watching the sunrise and sunset is the most beautiful.

Yudaokou Pasture Grassland Forest Scenic Area is located in the Bashang area of Weichang County, Chengde City. There are many landscapes inside, but you must drive, otherwise you can't get there at all. You can go rafting, mountain climbing, horseback riding, and grass skiing there. If you get up early in the morning, you can watch the sunrise, and in the evening, you can watch the sunset. At night, put on thick clothes and watch the stars. It's a different feeling. You must wear more clothes, otherwise you will catch a cold, because the temperature on the Bashang is very low. The grilled lamb chops taste good.

The scenery is nice. In fact, as I understand it, this is one of the entrances to Saihanba National Forest Park. There is a large field of rapeseed flowers near the entrance, which is surrounded by villagers. The fee is 5 yuan per person. For someone like me who has never seen the world, I still paid to go in and smell it, crushed some not-so-full rapeseed, and took a few photos. The ticket is 130 yuan per person, including the ticket to Saihanba National Forest Park, and is valid for 3 days.

Not only is the grassland beautiful, but there are also large areas of rapeseed flowers. The entire flower sea is very large, and there are many people renting cars. We decided to get one and drive around. This scenic area is too big. You can drive a few kilometers without seeing a single person or a car. All the roads and all the scenery are so primitive and beautiful. I like natural things that have not been overdeveloped and ravaged by tourists!

There's really nothing much to say here. After seeing the beautiful scenery of the grassland, this place no longer has any appeal to us.

5 kilometers before the scenic area, there is a large memorial archway at Yudaokou and a large field of beautiful rapeseed flowers. However, it costs 5 yuan to enter. I suggest you take some photos outside the fence. There are even larger rapeseed fields inside Saihanba. Not far from Yudaokou Scenic Area, you will reach the "Huangtushan Amusement Park", which has many amusement projects, but the price is not cheap.

This is the most flat scenic spot among the three scenic spots in Mulan Weichang (Wulanbutong, Saihanba, and Yudaokou). There are also some beautiful areas, but they are not as good as the other two scenic spots and are more detours.

Coming out of Saihanba, there is a small viewing point, Yudaokou, where you can see the alpine meadows, which are extremely charming.

Yudaokou Grassland Forest Scenic Area is the entrance before entering Saihanba Scenic Area. You can buy a scenic area pass (Yudaokou, Saihanba) again. Remember not to lose your ticket, because you need to check your ticket at each entrance.

The ticket is 130 yuan per person, including all the tickets for Yudaokou and Saihanba. So, you must bring your ticket with you, because there will be ticket checks along the way. We were not familiar with the situation inside, so we also bought a map for 20 yuan! This map has the main road signs, but some small roads are hard to find.

Tips for travellers: it is best to plan the scenic spots you will visit the next day the night before. If you are not sure, you can ask the locals, such as the waiters and small bosses of the guesthouse, hotel, farmhouse, etc. You can pay attention to the young men riding motorcycles. How should I put it? They are a mixed bag. They may rely on being locals and do some things to cheat out-of-town cars for money.

It was the first time for me to see so many windmills, stretching from Moon Lake to the birch forest for more than ten kilometers. It was so shocking!

Yudaokou Grassland Forest Scenic Area belongs to Mulan Paddock, including Moon Lake, windmills and many other attractions. Driving in summer, even with strong sunlight, there is no need for air conditioning. Open the car window, the wind is cool, and occasionally you will feel a little chilly. Passing by the ranch, get off the car to take some photos, surrounded by cattle, sheep and horses, and feel the local life, it is very comfortable.

Yudaokou is the entrance to Saihanba National Forest Park, and it is also the place to buy and check tickets. When I first arrived here, I felt that the surrounding environment was quite chaotic, but the further I walked inside, the more open it became. There were large forests, green grasslands and bright flowers. There are many scenic spots, most of which are man-made. In addition to the natural landscape, the rest of the scenic area is entertainment facilities, such as horseback riding, archery, grass skiing, sand skiing, rafting, and grass motorcycles. You can only drive around in the scenic area, stop as you go, and take photos and picnics. Local consumption should be cheap, but as it is the peak season from May to September, all prices have increased significantly. The simple public toilets are unbearable to look at.
