Longting Park is located at the north end of Zhongshan Road in Kaifeng City. It is a group of ancient buildings built according to the layout of the Wanshou Palace of the Qing Dynasty. It was once the site of the imperial palace of the Northern Song Dynasty, and now it has become a large park. Kaifeng is a city of "cities on top of cities, with several cities buried under the feet". 5 meters underground under the ruins of the Daqing Hall in Longting Park is the Zhou Palace of the Ming Dynasty, 8-10 meters underground is the Dongjing City of the Northern Song Dynasty, and 12 meters underground is the Bianzhou City of the Tang Dynasty.

From the travel notes: http://www.mafengwo.cn/i/11096798.html "[See the Central Plains in Henan] A perfect "National Day" trip to Henan for serious lovers of ancient architecture + stubborn foragers ~ (with the tips of local foodies)"

The National Day happened to coincide with the Chrysanthemum Festival in Longting Park, so there were quite a few people. (But the chrysanthemums were just so-so~ and the park said there were performances, so I entered the park at 2:30 and planned to go straight to the performance venue, but it turned out to be the same group of people I had just met on the bridge, who changed places and performed a meaningless performance again. There were a few uncles in ancient costumes who were just filling in the numbers, and I guess they didn't know what the next move was, and kept looking around, which made me laugh hahahahahahahahahahaha)

Longting Park is also a place I particularly like on this trip~

Longting Park was the first stop of my trip to Kaifeng. Since the online guides said that it was not necessary to enter the Qingming Riverside Park as soon as it opened in the morning, I chose to visit Longting Park next to the Qingming Riverside Park.

To be honest, I was a little disappointed when I first entered. Is that it? Isn't this just an ordinary park? And you need a ticket. The key is that the ticket is not cheap. It costs 45 yuan to buy it online... 45 yuan, is that it? I might as well save it and eat some Kaifeng soup dumplings.

Actually, maybe it is not a wise choice to come to Longting Park in the morning, and the most beautiful chrysanthemum display in Longting Park is not there now. The park is full of local uncles and aunts who are either singing or doing morning exercises.

The trip during the Dragon Boat Festival was scheduled in Henan because the holiday was short. We took the high-speed rail from Beijing to Kaifeng, rented a car here, and then prepared to drive in Kaifeng, Jiaozuo, Zhengzhou, and Luoyang. The first stop of the tour in Kaifeng was Longting, which can be regarded as a business card of Kaifeng. It was the government office of the Xuanwu Jiedushi in the Tang Dynasty and the site of the imperial palaces of the six dynasties of the Five Dynasties, namely, the Later Liang, Later Jin, Later Han, Later Zhou, Northern Song, and Jin. Longting is not actually a pavilion, but a palace built on a huge blue brick platform as high as 13 meters. It has been damaged and rebuilt many times over many generations. It is difficult to find the old marks now. It looks more like a brand new park. The tour caught up with the hottest day, with a 40-degree scorching sun, which was impressive!

By Star Whisper |

The park is quite large, but there don’t seem to be many attractions inside, it looks like a modern park.

There is a large hall, which is said to be the place where the emperor held court.

There is a big lake with rowing boats, 10 yuan per person

A relatively ordinary tourist attraction. The original site was the imperial city of the Song Dynasty, but it has been submerged under water.

The scenery is pleasant and the ancient city of Kaifeng has a profound heritage!

It is said that this is the site of the Northern Song Dynasty imperial palace. The garden is large and the scenery is beautiful. Compared with the Qingming Riverside Park, it is more fresh and elegant.

By A strong cat |

I caught up with the end of the Zhengkai Marathon. The crowd had just dispersed, and it seemed very popular. A long embankment, a high platform, a temple, surrounded by lakes and spring willows. It is more beautiful than Jingshan in Beijing.

Longting Park was built on the ruins of the imperial palace of the Six Dynasties (Later Liang, Later Jin, Later Han, Later Zhou, Northern Song and Jin dynasties during the Five Dynasties period). It is dominated by the magnificent and majestic Longting Hall, and consists of the Wanshou Palace complex of the Qing Dynasty, including the Meridian Gate, Jade Belt Bridge, Songhu, Chaomen, Zhaobi, Chaofang, etc.

By Fishball's Meatball Mom |

The attractions here are lit up at night and can be visited during the day. It is an ordinary park with no special scenery. The Song Dynasty Hall is worth a look. From the smooth stone slabs, you can imagine the scene back then.

The Song Dynasty, the most glorious time worth recalling - Kaifeng Prefecture!

It's worth a visit. I took my parents there during the National Day holiday. There were indeed a lot of people. Half a day was a bit tight. Next time, I will take my time to visit it. A day is no problem.

We came to Longting for the nostalgia, not to see the flowers, but the chrysanthemums in Longting are also very colorful. Looking at the scenery of Kaifeng Ancient City from the stone railing, imagine that the two emperors once leaned on the railing, and finally ended up in the desolate and mosquito-bitten Wuguotou City.

This area is the core scenic area of Kaifeng. Fanlou is diagonally opposite, and the Imperial Street is around it. Qingming Riverside Park is nearby. The scenic area is not small. In addition to Longting, there is also Panyang Lake, which is worth a visit.

2018.8.8 The father and son went to visit the Qingming Riverside Park in Kaifeng. Opposite is Longting Park; a large water park

By Polon |

The entire Longting Park faces north and south, and the gate is still very majestic.

There are still some ruins inside, after all, it was the site of the imperial palace back then. It's worth a visit

“If you come to Kaifeng and don’t visit Longting, it’s like you haven’t come to Kaifeng.” A Kaifeng resident said

If you really want to go to Longting, you need to walk through this passage built in the lake. There are many people and it feels very ceremonial.

Along the way, you can enjoy the wide lake and some small pieces of lake scenery around it.

In fact, this is not only a lake, but also a palace built on a huge blue brick platform 13 meters high.

By On the Road |

The scenery of Longting Park is okay, and you can go boating on the lake, but the surrounding environment and supporting facilities are not very good.

Longting Park is a famous tourist attraction in Kaifeng. Yangjia Lake, Panjia Lake and Longting together form Longting Park. There was a lantern show during the Chinese New Year, and it was very lively. The entrance fee was 60. Longting is very distinctive, with a high platform, which is majestic and spectacular compared to the flat land next to it.

By silently |

It's not a good idea to visit Longting Park in the afternoon - it's very sunny. Although there are shade trees, you can't hide all the time. The Flower Festival is over (ends on May 15), but there are still many beautiful flowers. On both sides of the Jade Belt Bridge are Panyang Lake, and the wind blowing from the lake is cool.

By JACKのHaoran |

It's not worth it to be honest. The ticket is 80 yuan. It's called the Northern Song Dynasty Palace, but there is no historical relics. It's just a park. I went to the Drum Tower Night Market from Tianbo Yangfu and went through the middle of Longting to save time. It was really boring.

By Bell |

Six generations of imperial palaces were built here, and it is a Feng Shui treasure land with layers of palaces stacked on top of each other. The sun and the moon cycle, the stars move, wars, water damage, fires, the former magnificent palaces have long gone, leaving only this dragon pavilion built in the Qing Dynasty, standing alone on a high platform, recalling the past glory. Ancient architecture has a lot of exquisiteness. The dragon pavilion is 36 feet high from the ground to the main hall, representing 36 Tiangang; 72 steps, representing 72 Disha. In front of the hall is a royal road with a dragon carved from bluestone. It is said that the horse hoof print of Zhao Kuangyin riding a horse to the hall is still left on the cloud dragon stone carving. The top of the hall is painted with a blue cloud pattern of a dragon. The indigo plaque in front of the hall is engraved with four gilded characters "Li Jing Tu Zhi", which means to cheer up and try to govern the country well, from "Song History. Shenzong Ji Zan". The yellow flag is hanging low in the hall, and the dragon chair symbolizing the noble imperial power is placed on the platform in the middle. Standing on the Dragon Pavilion and looking south, a straight road divides the lake into two sides. The east side of the road is Pan Lake, which is the residence of Pan Renmei, a treacherous minister who framed loyal officials in the Song Dynasty. The west side is Yang Lake, which is the residence of Yang Ye, a loyal minister who sacrificed his life to save the country in the Song Dynasty. Folk legend has it that lake water can also distinguish between loyalty and treachery. Pan Lake is turbid, while Yang Lake is clear. Although this saying has no scientific basis, it reflects people's attitude and feelings towards loyal officials and treacherous officials.

By Yangxian Old Tang |

Royal Park, but compared with the Summer Palace, which is also a royal park, it is completely incomparable, so the 50 yuan ticket feels a bit of a rip-off. 30 yuan is appropriate, in my opinion.

【Longting】

Longting Scenic Area is a tourist attraction that integrates royal gardens, historical relics and beautiful scenery. The Longting Hall is 26.7 meters high and 13 meters high. It faces south and sits in the north. There are eight court rooms on the east and west sides, which form a complete palace courtyard with the hall. In history, it was the office of the governor of Xuanwu Army in the Tang Dynasty and the site of the imperial palace of the six dynasties of the Five Dynasties, namely, the Later Liang, Later Jin, Later Han, Later Zhou, Northern Song and Jin. It has a history of more than 1,200 years. Today, the scenic area has a magnificent palace complex, the rippling Panyang Lake, the lifelike first wax museum of the Song Dynasty in my country, a variety of performances of Song Dynasty court culture programs, and numerous cultural relics.

The most profound impression of Longting is that the imperial palaces of successive dynasties are still sleeping underneath. Kaifeng has been flooded by the Yellow River many times in history because it is close to the Yellow River. Therefore, the previous cities were built on top of older cities, thus creating the archaeological wonder of "city upon city" in Kaifeng. Longting is also the central axis of the city. Kaifeng is the only city in the world whose central axis has never changed.

Looking at the Dragon Pavilion from afar can also make people think a lot. After all, it has witnessed the rise and fall of this city. A hundred years ago, Kang Youwei once climbed the Dragon Pavilion and wrote facing the dilapidated city: The dream of Tokyo is gone, and I can only sigh that the city walls are still there, but the people are no longer there. Thinking of the prosperity in the past, Kang Youwei not only regretted the city, but also the whole country at that time.

Longting Park is a representative of Kaifeng's ancient buildings. It was first built in the Six Dynasties. The Longting Hall is part of the site of the imperial garden behind the Song Dynasty's palace. The high platform below the hall is the earthen hill in the garden of the Zhou Palace in the Ming Dynasty. Longting Park was built based on the ancient buildings of the Qing Dynasty's imperial palace. It is a well-deserved symbol of Kaifeng. Therefore, it has become the main venue of this year's Lantern Festival.

Looking up from below, the main hall of Longting is brightly lit and sparkling. It is even more brilliant and majestic than it is during the day.

As night falls, the gates and bridges emit an unprecedented brilliance under the light, giving the ancient buildings that have stood the test of time a layer of lively light and shadow, which is very beautiful and moving.

The Longting Scenic Area is surrounded by water on three sides. The Pan and Yang Lakes on both sides of the Longting main road have naturally wide water surfaces and curved lakeshores, providing excellent natural conditions for the Lantern Festival. At night, you can see lanterns of various shapes and exquisite craftsmanship competing to appear, with flower and bird shapes, Chinese folk traditions, and myths and legends.

Longting is the main venue of the Kaifeng Lantern Festival. There is an exhibition booth and singing and dancing performances are performed every day to entertain the audience. The sound of gongs and drums is deafening and it is very lively.

Climb up to the Longting Hall and overlook the scenery below. The entire Longting Park is submerged in a world of flowing lights, dazzling and extraordinary.

At first I thought Longting Park was just an ordinary park and even had no intention of entering. But after visiting and learning about its history, I realized that it was the site of the imperial palace of several dynasties and the scenery is also nice. Standing on the hall built on the blue brick platform, you can see half of the scenery of Kaifeng City.

By 210905🐳lyh |

I went there on February 19, the fourth day of the Chinese New Year. It was a temple fair, so it was very lively. I saw someone selling gufaner, but it was not as delicious as bufaner. The main hall is a bit small. I wonder if it was also so small in ancient times? It seems that there were not many people in the Song Dynasty. The main hall is very high. I didn’t feel anything when I was at the bottom of the hall, but I found it was very strenuous when I really started to climb. So I had a question: in ancient times, if the emperor didn’t want to climb the stairs, did he also sit in a sedan chair? How did the sedan bearers carry him... I was also curious about the lake. Are the lakes on both sides connected or not? Later, I looked at the map and found that there was a small opening that connected them.

We went to Kaifeng in late May and went there after visiting Tianbo Yangfu. It was very close, I remember only 3 stops away.

It used to be the site of the Northern Song Dynasty imperial palace. It is said that the remains of the palace are about ten meters underground. Now it has become a very ordinary park with some historical elements added, such as the performance of Emperor Taizu of Song giving up military power over a cup of wine. Overall it is still worth a visit.

By China-TravelNote users |

I think that although it is a park, it is built on the ancient royal city, and the ancient buildings are very imposing. The left is for military and the right is for civil. Climb the stone steps to the palace. My child insisted on telling me which one to go to, left or right. I lamented how difficult it was for officials in ancient times. They had to climb those high steps to go to work every day. Good health is the capital of revolution. This is true in ancient and modern times!

I came to Kaifeng during the Qingming Festival. Since I only stayed for one day, I only went to the Qingming Riverside Park and Kaifeng Prefecture, and passed by Longting Park but did not go in.

[Location] There is a bus directly from the train station, and you will walk to Songdu Imperial Street, which is at the end of Songdu Imperial Street. I took a very crowded bus from the train station to Qingming Shanghe Park, but not only was the bus crowded, but it was also blocked on Imperial Street. All the aunties on the bus were clamoring to get off, so the driver opened the door and I got off. I was able to see Imperial Street~

[Scenery] To get from Imperial Street to Qingming Riverside Park, you have to pass by Longting Park first. I was hesitating whether to spend dozens of dollars to enter Longting, but when I got to the door, I saw that there was a long queue of people like a snake, and when I asked, they were all waiting to exchange tickets to enter Longting. I was so scared that I turned around twice in front of the Longting gate and walked towards Qingming Riverside Park without looking back. . It was strange why there were so many people in Longting Park when it was raining, and most of them were aunts. Later, I heard from people on the road that the day I was in Kaifeng happened to be the birthday of the Queen Mother of the West on the third day of March, so there were a lot of people going there to pray. I finally went around to Qingming Riverside Park from the outside. There were few people here. It was cloudy on rainy days, and there was no boating on the lake, but the scenery was really good~

Longting Park is generally good. The best seasons to visit are spring and autumn. There is a flower festival in spring, and the sea of flowers is beautiful. The ticket price is 60. In autumn, there is an annual chrysanthemum cultural festival. The ticket price rises to 80, but it is really worth seeing, it is beautiful! Flower Sea Longting ~ If you go there on weekdays, just listen to the tour guide, otherwise you will just wander around... By the way, there is also a lantern festival around the New Year (from the 23rd of the twelfth lunar month to the 15th of the first lunar month), which is also very beautiful!

If you are a local tourist, you can get a free annual pass for 60 RMB with your ID card. It will be valid for 24 hours. You can enter all parks for free except Qingming Shanghe Park and Kaifeng Mansion (30% off). (Except for the seven days of National Day, the seven days of Spring Festival and the fifteen days before the Chrysanthemum Exhibition.)

Attached are photos of this year's Longting Chrysanthemum Exhibition~

Because Longting is the largest scenic spot in Kaifeng and it has convenient transportation, there is a direct bus from the train station to Longting. My first stop was Longting. The ticket was 25 yuan. Of course, I enjoyed the student treatment, but it was really big. I played in it for 2 and a half hours. After the tour, I learned that it was built by Zhu Yuanzhang’s son. It was a place for hundreds of court officials to pay homage from afar. Hehe, I’m drunk, drunk. I took the picture with my mobile phone before. Sorry, I took the opposite picture of the beautiful scenery.

It's the Spring Festival flower show, it's really boring to visit during normal seasons

The Dragon Pavilion is magnificent and majestic, like a fairy palace in the sky. The Dragon Pavilion is based on the traditional red wall and green tile style. There are beast-shaped decorations on the four corners, which are not just decorations because they can also drain water. There are many exquisitely carved hangings on its tall base. The Dragon Pavilion is very beautiful during the Chinese New Year, with brilliant lights.

I had high expectations for this attraction at first, but was disappointed after I went there. It really doesn't have much special features, it's just an ordinary small park. Because there are 6 cities under it with different meanings, it is a must-see attraction in Kaifeng.

Longting Park is just at Gulou. When you take bus No. 15 to Qingming Riverside Park, get off one stop early. Longting Park is a bit empty with too much water.

I like this park very much! I think it is really good and worth going to.

We took some photos of the Dragon Pavilion from a distance outside the scenic area. We didn't go in to see it because we were in a hurry to go to other attractions. It seemed that the area was quite large and it would take at least half a day to visit. However, the lakes on both sides did not seem to be very clean.

The city is surrounded by water and flowers. Come during the chrysanthemum exhibition to enjoy the flowers and scenery.

You can go in and see it during the Chrysanthemum Festival. You don't need to go in during normal times, and the tickets are expensive.

The paid parks in Kaifeng are not worth visiting. They have good resources but are not well built, managed and maintained.

You can see the ruins of the Yanfu Palace near the north gate, the ruins of the Gongchen Gate (six meters underground) after the rear hall of the Dragon Pavilion, and the remains of the Genyue Stone. The entire Song Dynasty imperial city has been buried in the lake. There is a pair of Song Dynasty stone lions on the square. Disappointment.

The sky was blue when we came, but the busiest time here is when the chrysanthemums bloom.

I didn't go into Longting Park due to the season, but took some photos from a distance at Tianbo Yangfu.
