The National Day happened to coincide with the Chrysanthemum Festival in Longting Park, so there were quite a few people. Longting Park was the first stop of my trip to Kaifeng. Since the online guides said that it was not necessary to enter the Qingming Riverside Park as soon as it opened in the morning, I chose to visit Longting Park next to the Qingming Riverside Park.



To be honest, I was a little disappointed when I first entered. Is that it? Isn't this just an ordinary park? And you need a ticket. The key is that the ticket is not cheap. It costs 45 yuan to buy it online... 45 yuan, is that it? I might as well save it and eat some Kaifeng soup dumplings.



Actually, maybe it is not a wise choice to come to Longting Park in the morning, and the most beautiful chrysanthemum display in Longting Park is not there now. The park is full of local uncles and aunts who are either singing or doing morning exercises.

The trip during the Dragon Boat Festival was scheduled in Henan because the holiday was short. We took the high-speed rail from Beijing to Kaifeng, rented a car here, and then prepared to drive in Kaifeng, Jiaozuo, Zhengzhou, and Luoyang. The first stop of the tour in Kaifeng was Longting, which can be regarded as a business card of Kaifeng. It was the government office of the Xuanwu Jiedushi in the Tang Dynasty and the site of the imperial palaces of the six dynasties of the Five Dynasties, namely, the Later Liang, Later Jin, Later Han, Later Zhou, Northern Song, and Jin. Longting is not actually a pavilion, but a palace built on a huge blue brick platform as high as 13 meters. It has been damaged and rebuilt many times over many generations. It's not worth it to be honest. The ticket is 80 yuan. It's called the Northern Song Dynasty Palace, but there is no historical relics. It's just a park. I went to the Drum Tower Night Market from Tianbo Yangfu and went through the middle of Longting to save time. It was really boring.

We went to Kaifeng in late May and went there after visiting Tianbo Yangfu. It was very close, I remember only 3 stops away.

In autumn, there is an annual chrysanthemum cultural festival. The ticket price rises to 80, but it is really worth seeing, it is beautiful! Flower Sea Longting ~ If you go there on weekdays, just listen to the tour guide, otherwise you will just wander around... By the way, there is also a lantern festival around the New Year (from the 23rd of the twelfth lunar month to the 15th of the first lunar month), which is also very beautiful!

From south to north, it consists of Wumen (the south gate of the scenic area), Yudai Bridge, Songhu, Chaomen, East and West Chaofang, Zhaobi, Longting Hall, Song Dynasty Wax Museum, East and West Chuihua Gate and East and West Cross Courtyard, Northern Song Dynasty Dongjing City and Imperial City Model, Northern Song Dynasty Imperial City Gongchen Gate Ruins, "Five Mountains True Shape Monument" Square Pavilion, North Gate, East Convenient Gate, etc. There are also plant modeling gardens, bonsai gardens, plum gardens, landscapes, etc. It is a national AAAA-level tourist scenic spot and has been rated as a national civilized scenic tourist area demonstration site by the Central Civilization Office, the Ministry of Construction, and the National Tourism Administration.

When I went there, I caught up with the flower festival in the park. It was very beautiful~~



The lake in Longting Park is very big and beautiful.

Longting Park is just at Gulou. When you take bus No. 15 to Qingming Riverside Park, get off one stop early. Longting Park is a bit empty with too much water.

I like this park very much! I think it is really good and worth going to.

We took some photos of the Dragon Pavilion from a distance outside the scenic area. We didn't go in to see it because we were in a hurry to go to other attractions. It seemed that the area was quite large and it would take at least half a day to visit. However, the lakes on both sides did not seem to be very clean.

The city is surrounded by water and flowers. Come during the chrysanthemum exhibition to enjoy the flowers and scenery.

You can go in and see it during the Chrysanthemum Festival. You don't need to go in during normal times, and the tickets are expensive.

The paid parks in Kaifeng are not worth visiting. They have good resources but are not well built, managed and maintained.

You can see the ruins of the Yanfu Palace near the north gate, the ruins of the Gongchen Gate (six meters underground) after the rear hall of the Dragon Pavilion, and the remains of the Genyue Stone. The entire Song Dynasty imperial city has been buried in the lake. There is a pair of Song Dynasty stone lions on the square. Disappointment.

The sky was blue when we came, but the busiest time here is when the chrysanthemums bloom.

I didn't go into Longting Park due to the season, but took some photos from a distance at Tianbo Yangfu.
