Yinxu is the site of the capital of the late Shang Dynasty in China. It is the first confirmed capital in Chinese history. Its discovery and excavation was rated as the first of the "100 major archaeological discoveries" in China in the 20th century. There are a large number of bronze, stone, bone, jade and other cultural relics with precious historical value in Yinxu. The most famous one is the "Simuwu Large Square Ding" weighing 875 kilograms, which is the largest and heaviest bronze ware ever found in the world. When you come to Anyang, you must go to Yinxu to witness the history and culture of the Shang Dynasty.

If you come to Henan, you must visit Anyang to see the Yin Ruins... As soon as I arrived in Anyang East, I took a taxi directly to the Yin Ruins. It was a bit far and the price was 40...
Probably because it was off-season, there were not many people when I arrived. I bought a ticket for 70, and the tour guide cost 120. I wanted to find someone to help me, but no one showed up. Later, I listened to the audio guide, which was pretty good...
Yinxu is quite large, and you can probably learn about the culture of the Shang Dynasty and the oracle bone inscriptions...
After a quick 2-hour stroll, I rushed to eat at Shengdeli...
Yinxu is the ruins of the capital of the late Shang Dynasty in China. From the time Pan Geng moved the capital to Yin until Emperor Xin's fall in 1046 BC, Yin had been the political, economic, cultural and military center of the late Shang Dynasty in China for 273 years.
At the beginning of the 20th century, a large number of capital building ruins and rich cultural relics represented by oracle bone inscriptions and bronze ware were unearthed at Yinxu, which systematically demonstrated the glorious bronze civilization of the late Shang Dynasty in China and established the scientific status of Yin and Shang society as reliable history.
A must-see attraction in Anyang. You can take the bus or Didi, which is fast and inexpensive. The combined ticket includes two areas and a sightseeing bus connecting the two areas, but the sightseeing bus runs once an hour, so you need to pay attention to the time. There are free stamps from the post office near the museum exit and the outer Fuhao Tomb. Remember to bring a book.
Through the layers of fog in history, the mysterious veil of Yinxu was gradually unveiled, and the hazy outline became clear little by little. The splendid civilization of the ancient East more than 3,000 years ago was presented to the world. The discovery of oracle bone inscriptions brought a lost civilization back to light, guiding people to trace the origin of civilization. The other two of the world's three major ancient scripts: pictograms and cuneiform have disappeared and withdrawn from the stage of history. Only oracle bone inscriptions have traveled through time and space, and are the same as the Chinese characters we use now. Oracle bone inscriptions inherit the original engraved symbols, and then evolved into the bell and tripod inscriptions on bronze ware, and then evolved into seal script, official script, and regular script, and have continued their life to this day. It is a living text.
Whenever a ruin is awakened, it will involve a long history. After Pan Geng moved the capital to Yin, successive monarchs pushed the Shang Dynasty civilization to its peak. However, behind the civilization there is still barbarism and killing. While we are overwhelmed by the exquisite bronze ware and the oracle bone inscriptions that symbolize Chinese civilization, we are also shocked by the hideous faces of the sacrificial pits and chariot pits. The white bones in the pits show a shocking memory to the passing tourists. People who were once alive were buried like livestock and objects. Some of them were kneeling, some were lying flat, and some were lying on their sides, forming a series of pictures that make your scalp numb. The number of human sacrifices in the tombs reached tens of thousands, which was shocking. The terrible thing is that this cruel system is not exclusive to the slave society. The system of human sacrifice existed until the Ming and Qing Dynasties, but it was not as tragic as the Shang Dynasty.

The most famous ancient tomb in Yinxu is the Tomb of Fu Hao in the ancestral temple area. I wonder if this is the oldest tomb with a clear owner discovered in my country today.
A reminder: there were many cases of human sacrifice in the tombs of Yinxu, so I didn’t take pictures of Fu Hao’s tomb.
A world cultural heritage. It consists of two parts: the palace and the ancestral temple ruins and the royal mausoleum. There is a free shuttle bus between the scenic spots, which runs every half an hour. If you come here to visit without a tour guide, the tour will be very fast, and the WeChat tour guide is too brief, leaving people wanting more. (The spiritual deer in the royal mausoleum will be a surprise for you to visit)
The Xia Dynasty is an important source of ancient Chinese history and civilization. Due to the lack of effective physical evidence, the Shang Dynasty is recognized as an early dynasty. In the history of the Shang Dynasty, the capital was built and moved to many places. Anyang is a relatively recent one with a longer capital period. There are also a large number of cultural relics unearthed here. They are all famous national treasures, such as the Simuwu Large Square Ding, Fuhao Owl Zun, a large number of oracle bones, and chariot pits. Of course, some top national treasures have been moved to the National Museum or Henan Provincial Museum, and those left in Anyang are replicas.
The broad scope of the Yin Ruins site includes the palace and ancestral temple sites, as well as the royal tombs. Of course, the core is still the palace and ancestral temple sites. The corresponding museum is also built here, and there is also the tomb of Fu Hao here.
Because of the oracle bone inscriptions, a long corridor was built here, and the oracle bone inscriptions of common Chinese characters are engraved on one side of the corridor. Of course, Anyang also has a special Chinese character museum, and those who are interested can go and have a look.
This time I went to Henan for a self-driving tour, and I also realized that Chaoge, which we are familiar with from the Investiture of the Gods, is located in Qi County of today's Hebi City, a little south of Anyang. There is also Tangyin in the middle, which preserves the Youli City that is said to have imprisoned Xibohou Jichang. Whether Chaoge and Anyang are two different capitals or have a subordinate relationship with each other is still unclear.
All the good stuff is in the Henan Museum. Here are just some foundations left.
There are too many corpses, it's too exciting, it's scary, but the oracle bones are really easy to recognize
The site where the Simuwu Ding was unearthed is a tourist attraction that is well worth visiting.
If you want to learn about the Shang Dynasty, this is the best place.
The Text Museum is free, but the 70 yuan ticket is a bit expensive. The bus is not very convenient. It takes one kilometer to walk in from the outside. It is not worth coming here specially.
Why do you ask me to write another review for a review I've already given? I really don't understand. Just read my travel notes.
The characteristics of Anyang, among which the Yinxu Museum is the most worth visiting
Yinxu is worth visiting. It is the recorder of our Shang Dynasty. But the quality of the explanation here is not worth mentioning: lack of rigorous description, stubborn and radical misconception. If you believe it, you will be laughed at.
The museum, chariot and horse pit and Fu Hao's tomb are relatively important points. The scenic area is large but the route is well designed, and the explanatory texts of the exhibited cultural relics are also qualified. It is in line with my expectations of Yinxu, but it did not exceed expectations.
Yinxu is located in the northwest of Anyang City, not far from the railway station. Yinxu is called "Dayi Shang" and "Yi Shang" in oracle bone inscriptions. It was the capital of the late Shang Dynasty (slave society) in China. It is also the first ancient capital site in Chinese history that can be documented and confirmed by oracle bone inscriptions and archaeological excavations. It has a history of 3,300 years. The bronzes in Yinxu show the culture of the Shang Dynasty, with a distinct and unique oriental color and are very exquisite. Among them, the Simuwu Ding is the most famous. It is the largest bronze ware found in the world so far and represents the highest level of ancient Chinese bronze culture.
The ruins of the capital city in the late Shang Dynasty of China have rich historical research value and profound cultural heritage. It is the first capital city ruins in Chinese history that can be documented and confirmed by archaeology and oracle bone inscriptions. It consists of the ruins of the Yinxu royal mausoleum, the ruins of the Yinxu palace and ancestral temple, and the ruins of the Huanbei Shang city. It is a national 5A-level scenic spot and a dual world natural and cultural heritage, which is very suitable for masters of archaeology and literature to come and appreciate and play.
The Yinxu Scenic Area is divided into three attractions: the Yinxu Royal Tombs, the Yinxu Palace and Ancestral Temples, and the Huanbei Shang City. Each attraction takes 2-3 hours to visit, and the ticket price is 90 yuan for a comprehensive tour.
Located in the city of Anyang, it includes the royal mausoleum and the palace temple. The distance between the two is far, and there is a special bus connecting them. The bus fee is included in the ticket. This is the discovery site of oracle bone inscriptions, Simuwu Ding and Fuhao's tomb. It is the birthplace of Chinese writing history. The disadvantage is that the bus station is far from the entrance of the scenic spot.
In Yinxu, it is really impossible without the introduction of tour guides or volunteers. 😳 A gate, a stone, and a seemingly ordinary water surface, all have their own source and are carefully designed. Even the passage for tourists is different from other places! For the history of the Chinese people, we should have a little perceptual understanding. The people of Yinxu worship ghosts. This may be the inevitable development of history and the initial cause of the emergence of writing? Human sacrifice may be caused by the awe and fear of ghosts and gods. However, without the Yin people's worship of ghosts, there would be no Zhou ritual system, nor the thousands of years of Chinese civilization that we are proud of.
It is really hard to imagine how those palaces, bronze artifacts and jade artifacts were built under such primitive conditions.
The guide was a volunteer, who was great.
Generally, there are not many people in this type of ruins. After entering, go to the tomb of Fu Hao on the left, and then visit a few ruins. After the visit, go to the museum to see the cultural relics, and that's it. The whole attraction can actually be visited in one hour.
The best place to learn about the history of the Shang Dynasty and see Shang Dynasty artifacts, especially bronze artifacts, the best place to learn about oracle bone inscriptions, and the best place to learn about burial sacrifices. A large number of original artifacts give you a real Shang Dynasty. Good greenery and hygiene, no messy routines, the ticket price of 80 yuan is worth it, fortunately, there are not many people like many museums. Some foreigners are also watching.
Yinxu consists of two parts, namely the palace and temple ruins and the royal tomb ruins. The two places are more than 5 kilometers apart. There is a free shuttle bus running between the two places every half an hour, so everyone should pay attention to the time to avoid waiting at the door for nearly half an hour to get on the shuttle bus.
As a 5A scenic spot, Yinxu has a good environment. It is recommended to find a guide for 80 yuan, but the explanation is very detailed. It takes about two hours to walk around and see it carefully, so it is worth it. If you don't want to find a tour guide, although there are not many tourists here, it is still okay to get a tour guide.
The most important things in the palace and temple ruins are a Yinxu Museum, a chariot pit, and a Fuhao Tomb. The scenic area is well designed. Although the distance between each scenic spot is not close, the scenic area will connect the various scenic spots together through the Oracle Bone Corridor, so the road will not be boring.
The royal tombs are optional, as most of them have been filled in. There is only a sacrificial pit, a small chariot pit, and the tomb where the Simuwu Ding was unearthed. It takes about 30 minutes to complete the tour.
The ruins of the Shang Dynasty are famous for the discovery of Fu Hao's Tomb and Oracle Bones. The scenic area is divided into two areas, about 5-6 kilometers apart, and there are free tourist buses that depart every 30 minutes. People usually come to visit the Yinxu Palace Ruins and Fu Hao's Tomb, but not many people go to the Royal Mausoleum Ruins. The number of physical exhibits in the scenic area is limited, so be sure to ask an interpreter to introduce the allusions of each place, which is super worth it!
Yinxu Scenic Area has two independent attractions, the Palace Ruins and the Royal Mausoleum Ruins. There is a shuttle bus between the two attractions every 30 minutes. Tickets are required to take the shuttle bus.
Drive directly to the palace ruins, where there are many attractions, including the Yinxu Museum, the site where oracle bones were discovered, and Fu Hao's Tomb.
The most important of these is the Yinxu Museum, where all the essence is
Yinxu is undoubtedly the most important archaeological discovery in China, and it finally established China's historical period in the Shang Dynasty.
Before coming to Yinxu, I had seen a large number of Yinxu cultural relics and special exhibitions on Fu Hao's tomb in various museums in China, and was amazed by the exquisite jade, bronze and oracle bone inscriptions.
Finally we arrived at Yinxu, the place where all this happened. But unlike what we expected, the best cultural relics unearthed from Yinxu have been scattered all over the country and are probably never to be returned. The museum is also rather shabby, with not the best unearthed cultural relics and most of them are replicas.
However, seeing the bones and Gothic-style burial pits in Yinxu still shocked me.
How should I put it? Yinxu is a cultural landscape area. If you are interested in the history of the Shang Dynasty, you might as well go there. If you are a novice like me, you need to follow a good tour guide, but you don’t know whether the tour guide is good or not in advance, so it’s better to hire one than not.
The ticket price for Yinxu is 90 yuan, half price for students and seniors over 60 years old, free for children under 1.2 meters tall and seniors over 70 years old. It includes the palace and ancestral temple ruins, museums, and royal mausoleum ruins. There is a shuttle bus at the entrance of the museum, which departs on the hour to the royal mausoleum.
There is still no free audio guide here, but you can hire a tour guide (80 for Chinese and 120 for English).
The Oracle-Bone Script Gallery made us linger, and the ancient characters were vivid and interesting.
I spent the whole day visiting the two ruins of Yinxu Royal Tombs and Ancestral Temple Palace. They are both very good and much better than I expected. Especially for someone like me who likes to study history, it is very enjoyable. I always heard about Yinxu, Simuwu Ding, Chariot and Horse Pit, etc. in textbooks before, and now I am shocked to see it with my own eyes! The precious treasures left to us by our ancestors must be well protected! Next time I will bring my son, daughter and daughter-in-law to visit again!
I didn't expect the Yinxu Museum to be so good. We were lucky to meet a volunteer who gave a very good explanation. It was very rewarding to listen to her. We went back to see it again to deepen our understanding and gain something. The Yinxu Royal Tombs are far away, but there is a free shuttle bus that runs every half an hour. The Royal Tombs are also worth seeing, and it takes less than an hour, so it's just right to take the shuttle bus back.
As a world cultural heritage, the highlights of Yinxu are actually all in the museum built later: the foundation of the royal palace, the tomb of Fu Hao and the ruins of the royal mausoleum, etc. The exquisite bronzes, crystal ancient jades and figurative oracle bones bear witness to the glory of Chinese civilization more than 3,000 years ago, which makes us proud.
There are indeed many things to see, and they cannot be seen anywhere else. People who like cultural relics should be very happy. The environment is very good, the public services are in place, and the locals are very enthusiastic.
The entire scenic area consists of two parts: the Yinxu Palace and Temple Site and the Yinxu Royal Mausoleum Site. The Yinxu Palace and Temple Site is the main scenic area, and the two are far apart. There is a free shuttle bus in the scenic area, which runs every half an hour and you can get on the bus with your ticket.
How can you come to Anyang and not visit Yinxu? However, there are not many attractions in the large site of Yinxu, so I just checked in at the entrance.
With a long history and culture, every cultural relic has high cultural and artistic value.
I came to Anyang just to go to Yinxu. I got off at the train station because bus No. 1 did not stop in front of the train station, so I had no choice. I took the 302 minibus, but I didn't know what the number was. After getting on the bus, I found that it was a long-distance minibus. It didn't matter what Shuizhi was, as long as I arrived at Yinxu. During the ride, the ticket seller auntie also despised us and asked us why we didn't take bus No. 1. I thought to myself that even if you are kind and well-intentioned, you shouldn't be so face, isn't this to generate income for your line? I was puzzled by her psychological activities! Fortunately, I got off the bus in just a few stops. Everyone should be prepared for the distance between the bus station and the gate of Yinxu. It's so far. When I went to the gate to buy tickets, I heard that an uncle's family took a taxi and was ripped off by the taxi driver. Now thinking back to the ticket seller's face, um! Very good! For tickets, in addition to discount tickets, it is recommended that you buy adult tickets online. How much cheaper is it. As soon as I entered the ticket check, I was told by the staff that there would be voluntary guides to explain today. I ran two steps to catch up with them. Thanks to the uncle who told me. Along the way, I followed the volunteer explanation team. They were also teachers who practiced with students. When it was the students' turn to explain, I could understand their nervousness and occasional incoherence. In short, it was great! At the end, I was invited to take a group photo as a souvenir. Will the photos be put on the wall? Haha. Thank you very much, teachers! After visiting the Yinxu Museum, there is a minibus at the door to take you to visit the Yinxu ruins for free. I tell you that this car is so necessary. After you go there, you will know how far the distance is. After passing through several villages and fields, you will reach the ruins area. After the visit, there will be a minibus to take you back. I won't say much about other feelings of this trip, just one sentence: The prosperity of Chengtang Jiangshan for more than 600 years can not be fully displayed by a tomb site. The rise and fall of a hundred years, honor and disgrace, are light in a day.
Anyang Yinxu is located in the northwest of Anyang City. Now it has two major scenic spots: Yinxu Palace and Temple Site and Royal Tomb Site. There are buses between the two scenic spots. The ticket price is 90 yuan. No tour guide certificate is not free. Yinxu is the earliest proven royal capital site of the Shang Dynasty in my country. Around 1300 BC, King Pan Geng of the Shang Dynasty moved the capital of the Shang Dynasty from Qufu to this place. It served as the capital of the Shang Dynasty until King Wu of Zhou destroyed the Shang Dynasty in 1046 BC. The Palace and Temple Site is located at the northwest end of the city, and the architecture imitates the architectural style of the Shang Dynasty. After entering the gate, facing the Simuwu Ding sculpture is the site introduction hall, which briefly introduces the history and culture of the Shang Dynasty. Behind the main hall is the Oracle Bone burial pit, where more than 13,700 tortoise shells with inscriptions were unearthed. The scenic spot behind the Oracle Bone burial pit is the sacrificial pit, where more than 100 people are buried for sacrificial sacrifice. Most of these people were captives captured by the Shang Dynasty in war, and there were also a few slaves. The women and children were buried alive, while most of the adult men were beheaded or dismembered and thrown into the burial pits. There were also several warriors standing upright holding bronze daggers and shields made of wood and leather. It was a common practice for Shang nobles to use living people as sacrifices or kill living people for sacrifice after their death, reflecting the barbarity of the slave society of the Shang Dynasty. The bones of animals such as horses, cattle, and sheep used for burial and sacrifice were also buried behind the human sacrifice pits. At the northernmost part of the site is the ash pit of the Shang Dynasty, which was the garbage dump at that time. On the east road, there are the chariot pit site and the oracle bone stele corridor where chariots and horses were buried. To the south of them is the Yinxu Museum, which is the most worthwhile place to visit in the site. It has a large number of bronze, jade, bone, pottery, and shell vessels, including the Simu Xin Ding, the Shang Dynasty Jade Phoenix, and the bronze urn. To the north of the west road is the oracle bone inscription corridor, with dozens of translations and introductions of oracle bone inscriptions, and the corresponding explanations of oracle bone inscriptions and today's Chinese characters. To the south of the west road is the tomb of Fu Hao, the wife of the Shang King. Fu Hao was not the highest-ranking queen of the Shang Dynasty, but the woman whom King Wu Ding loved most in his life. She was a stunning beauty with a generous personality, proficient in military tactics and strategies, and gave advice to Wu Ding on governing the country. She was also a female general who led troops in battles and made great military achievements for the Shang Dynasty. Unfortunately, she died of dystocia in her 30s. There is a statue of Fu Hao and a hall for offering sacrifices next to her tomb. There is an exhibition hall for unearthed cultural relics and a restoration of the tomb scene in the tomb.
The Royal Tomb Site is located in Wuguan Village, northwest of Anyang, surrounded by desolate surroundings. The site contains chariot pits, sacrificial pits with human and animal sacrifices, the M260 tomb where the Simuwu Ding was unearthed, and animal sacrifice pits. Compared with the palace and ancestral temple sites, there are much fewer attractions.
This is a world heritage site. It is worth a visit for history lovers and those who like to see ruins.
Yinxu is the site where oracle bones were unearthed. The Yin and Shang civilization originated from here. A piece of oracle bone shocked the world and the Yin and Shang bronze ware was exquisite.
Yinxu is a typical site tourist attraction. There are basically no buildings at the site, and all the buildings that have been built were restored by modern people.
It has its own characteristics and the service is good, but it gives people a feeling that it is nothing special. In fact, you might as well learn about it at home. You will have a deeper understanding and experience when you come here.
The ticket price is a bit expensive, and there aren't too many things inside, including chariot and horse pits, a stele gallery, a museum, several ruins and an oracle bone discovery display. It's not too much, but not too little either. Because its ornamental value is far less than its cultural value, the reviews in Wowo are divided into two levels.
I never give it too low a rating, because since it is a tourist attraction, it naturally has its value. Seeing is believing. If you have the time and interest, you should go and take a look and listen.
Yinxu, formerly known as "Beimeng", is the ruins of the capital of the late Shang Dynasty in China, located in Anyang City, Henan Province. In the 14th year of Pan Geng, the 20th monarch of the Shang Dynasty, Pan Geng, moved the capital from Bo (now Shangqiu, Henan) to Beimeng (now Anyang, Henan), and changed the name of "Beimeng" to "Yin". In the 15th year of Pan Geng, the construction of Yindu began.
In the early 20th century, Yinxu became famous for the discovery of oracle bones. In 1928, archaeological excavations at Yinxu officially began, unearthing a large number of capital building sites and rich cultural relics represented by oracle bones and bronze ware, systematically showing the brilliant bronze civilization of the late Shang Dynasty in China and establishing the scientific status of the Yin and Shang society as a reliable history. It was rated as the first of China's "100 major archaeological discoveries" in the 20th century.
Before I went, I read the comments on the website and they were a bit polarized. I just stopped by to visit, and I felt it was pretty good. As for the museum, it was just for fun. I am also a history buff. I only know about the Investiture of the Gods in the Shang Dynasty... But after seeing it, I felt that the attraction itself was okay. There were no shopping channels that you had to go through. It was all real things. I went alone without a tour guide. I took a taxi next to me, and it still sounded a bit magical. But there was a big problem, that is, there were no taxis willing to use meters after leaving the attraction... This really affected my feeling about the attraction. My suggestion is that if you can go there by the way, it is not a waste of time. If you are with young children or elderly people who are not interested in it, you should think again before going.
This rating is mainly due to the low cost-effectiveness of the scenic area and the ticket price (90 yuan). Yinxu is a pit, and this attraction is also a pit. However, except for the Yinxu Museum in the scenic area (the museum is really not big), the rest is really boring (there is a large scenic area map at the entrance. Seeing this experience tells me that if this is okay, it must be not very good. Often, the scenic areas that are not good will draw the scenic area map very large). The Yinxu Scenic Area is divided into two locations, and the other is the site where the Simuwu Large Square Ding was discovered. Yes, it is a large flat land! In the past, you had to take a free bus at the entrance of the scenic area to take you there. If you drive there by yourself, it is a country road. In the middle of this scenic area, there is a large tripod, and next to it is a circle of holly planted in the shape of the tomb pit.
A good place to learn oracle bone inscriptions and understand the evolution of writing.
Once you have seen it, even for just a moment, no one would be willing to exchange this brief glimpse for any other scenery in the world.
Yinxu is the capital site of the late Shang Dynasty in China's slave society. It is located in Xiaotun Village, northwest of Anyang City, Henan Province, and has a history of more than 3,300 years. It is famous for its large number of oracle bones and bronze artifacts unearthed in China and abroad.
Maybe I had too high expectations, I feel it is just passable. The scale is relatively large, but the exhibits seem to be relatively small. The oracle bone inscriptions are more interesting.
Yinxu is a relatively high-ranking scenic spot in China. Although most people have never heard of this place, everyone must know about Oracle Bone Script and Simuwu Ding. These two world-class national treasures are from Yinxu. Anyang is actually a small place, and it is not very rich overall. The prices of food, accommodation and transportation are relatively affordable. As the central scenic spot of Anyang, Yinxu supports Anyang's number one sign as a whole. In fact, Yinxu is not a well-known place, but its status and value are there, but there are very few tourists watching it, and it feels that it has not been promoted. Good places do not need to be promoted. The 90 yuan ticket includes two scenic spots and transportation costs, which is very affordable. Although the second scenic spot is very bad, it is at least the birthplace of Simuwu Ding. A ancestral temple site and a royal tomb site require everyone to read the introduction carefully. It would be more perfect if you can listen to the tour guide. When we went there, there were also Korean groups coming to investigate, and there were also students from Chinese schools who went to investigate. It is really worth seeing.
Some of the characters introduced in the oracle bone script are really interesting. You should definitely go and take a look when the time comes. I’ll just post two for you to understand.
As for transportation, there is bus No. 1 to get there, and there is a direct bus near the train station. It is very close to the train station, and you can store your luggage, which is very convenient. It is very suitable for those of us who carry suitcases and only leave after visiting Yinxu.
Oracle bones, treasure house, royal city, Fuhao's tomb;
A history book of Shang Tang;
Anyang, the source of Chinese culture;
Tips:
Exactly the same - means that each bronze ware needs a mold, and after firing, the mold needs to be broken to make the ware;
Yin and Yang - the royal tomb and the royal city, divided by the Huan River into two places similar to the Yin and Yang of Tai Chi;
Yu-short for Henan, a pictograph of a man leading an elephant;
…
I like this place and the surrounding environment very much. It is beautiful and the decoration inside is also very good.
A must-see, the only world cultural heritage site in the Shang Dynasty that can be shown to everyone
The first destination for the Spring Festival self-driving tour. In fact, when I went to Henan a few years ago, I wanted to visit Yinxu, but for various reasons I didn't make the trip. I realized it at the beginning of this year.
You can get there by car or bus. Due to limited time and family strength, we only visited the palace and temple ruins and the Yinxu Museum.
Yinxu is the site of the capital of the late Shang Dynasty, located in Xiaotun Village, northwest of Anyang City, Henan Province. The existing relics mainly include the Yinxu Palace Temple Site, Yinxu Royal Tombs Site, Huanbei Shang City, Hougang Site, as well as settlement sites (clan towns), family cemetery groups, oracle bone pits, bronze casting sites, handicraft workshops, etc.
The Shang Dynasty architecture represented by palaces, ancestral temples and royal tombs is solemn and austere, simple and elegant, reflecting the unique sense of balance, order and aesthetic taste of ancient Chinese architecture. It embodies the palace construction pattern, architectural art, construction methods and construction technology of the Shang Dynasty, and represents the advanced level of early palace architecture in ancient China. The Huanbei Shang City of Yinxu has tall city walls, majestic palaces, and especially a strict "central axis" layout, which has become a feature of Chinese cities for thousands of years.
I went there on the Laba Festival. It was so cold! But there were few people! I looked more carefully! I learned a lot!
Yinxu is divided into the museum, chariot and horse pits, and Fu Hao's tomb.
At 2:30, I took the courtyard bus to the Royal Tomb Area, which was a little way away. When I entered the gate, I saw some large wooden boxes. I asked the ticket collector, who said they were the remains of carriages and horses, and they had not been approved for placement. I said, "Don't let the wind and rain damage them!"
There are three exhibition halls and two horse-drawn carriages on the east side of the royal mausoleum area; the human sacrifice pit for prisoners of war. The place where the Simuwu square tripod was unearthed is the sacrificial pit. The guide said that she was the queen of Wu Ding. Wu Ding had 64 wives, and Fu Hao was just a concubine. I think Fu Hao was born in a humble family, but she was good at fighting and beautiful, and was deeply favored by Wu Ding. When I walked into the Simuwu exhibition hall, I was deeply shocked. The huge sacrificial pit has a sacred road in the south. There is a human head altar five or six meters below the sacred road. When you go down and almost reach the pit, there is a square pit, which is said to be a human sacrifice pit with human bones. Between this pit and the main pit is a stone-carved square tripod. There is a semicircular hole with a diameter of one meter on each side of the main pit. It is said to be a robbery hole. The accurate targeting makes me sigh that the devil is really ten feet high!
Yinxu is located in Yindu District and is a world heritage site. It mainly consists of palaces and royal mausoleums of the Shang Dynasty. The two attractions are quite far apart and require a special bus to travel back and forth. Both scenic spots are not large. They mainly include palace ruins, mausoleum ruins, Yinshang Museum, and Fuhao Tomb.
Tips:
1. It is strongly recommended to hire a tour guide. If there are few people, each person should have a headset and the tour guide will speak in a very low voice. However, there are also volunteers who give explanations. We saw them when we were almost done with the tour that day.
2. If you really want to have a good time visiting Yinxu, please set aside a whole day to do so.
3. There are sightseeing buses to and from the Royal Tomb, which are free to take at the gate and run every half an hour. We took a small bus when we went there, and a big bus when we came back. Everyone calculated the time, it was quite long, more than 20 minutes one way.
The planning is good, but the two scenic spots are a bit far apart.
The palace ruins include the Yinxu Museum, sacrificial and burial sites, oracle bone inscriptions exhibition, chariot and horse pits, Fu Hao's tomb, etc. It is much richer than you might imagine. It is definitely worth a visit.
You must ask for an explanation of this place so that you don't miss many historical allusions. There are also many cultural relics that are difficult to understand without an explanation. In particular, there are some oracle bone inscriptions and rubbings that are really incomprehensible without an explanation.
If there is a small flaw, it is that the level of the tour guide needs to be improved. Maybe this is the worst one we have encountered? He can't grasp the progress, and he only cares about himself while walking and talking. He didn't pay attention to the status and speed of the accompanying guests. During the whole process, we chased her.
It is divided into the palace area and the mausoleum area, covering a large area. As Anyang's business card, if you want to understand the history of the Shang Dynasty, you should go to the actual site. The ticket is expensive. I didn't expect that there are so many collections in Fu Hao's tomb, which is so small.
I rode from Beijing in October 2008 and was very excited when I arrived in Anyang on the way back because it was my first long-distance ride.
The Yin Ruins in Anyang, whether you think it is boring or not so entertaining, you should go and see it if you have beautiful scenery. Apart from the national 5A scenic spot, it is the first capital site in Chinese history that can be documented and confirmed by archaeology and oracle bone inscriptions. In addition to learning something in it, the environment and air and green plants in the scenic area are also very pleasant and there are not many tourists, so it is worth a visit. Originally, I was not particularly interested in archaeology, oracle bone inscriptions, etc. Who would have thought that once I entered the bright and empty scenic area, it would be very comfortable without the crowded flow of tourists. I hired a tour guide to walk around and explain. The boring history was interpreted in the form of storytelling, which made tourists listen with relish and interest. For example, who is the female general statue in front of Fu Hao's tomb in the scenic area commemorating?
There is a wall with comparisons of the meanings of the oracle bone inscriptions and the vernacular texts. Our group spent a long time touring this part alone. There are also open-air tombs covered in glass, which contain chariots, horses, sacrifices, soldiers' weapons, etc. All in all, it was worth the trip!
Located on the bank of the Huan River, the ruins of the capital 3,300 years ago, the place where the earliest Chinese characters, oracle bones, were discovered, is one of the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units and is listed in the World Heritage List. The ticket includes the Yinxu Palace and Temple Site and the Yinxu Royal Tomb Site. The Yinxu Museum is located in the Yinxu Palace and Temple Site. There is transportation between the Yinxu Palace and Temple Site and the Yinxu Royal Tomb Site, and the fare is included in the ticket. The architectural design of the Yinxu Museum is very distinctive. It is sunken underground, not showing the mountains and water, and does not affect the appearance of the palace and temple sites. The bronzes in the museum (the largest bronze ware unearthed in China from Yinxu, the Simuwu Ding, has been moved to the National Museum of China, and the sister tripod of the Simuwu Ding, the Simu Xin Ding, has been seen) and oracle bones are mostly exquisite. In addition, the earliest Chinese chariot and horse relics, the Yinxu Chariot and Horse Pit, and the world's earliest archives and libraries, the H127 Oracle Bone Pit, are all highlights. Fortunately, I invited a tour guide named Liu here. The regular 1.5-hour explanation lasted nearly 4 hours, which was enough to make up for the regret of missing the Text Museum. There is no explanation of the Yinxu Royal Tombs site. There are four exhibition halls but not much stuff, so I suggest you skip it.
Yinxu is the site of the capital of the late Shang Dynasty in China. It was called "Beimeng" in ancient times and was also called "Shangyi" and "Dayi Shang" in oracle bone inscriptions. It is the first capital site in Chinese history that can be documented and confirmed by archaeology and oracle bone inscriptions.
Finally, we arrived at a scenic spot with relatively few people. The parking lot was very empty. But when we asked for a guide, they said there was no more and we had to wait. Did they not come back from the New Year holiday? After wandering around the entrance for a while, a serious and responsible guide girl came. I found that a good guide is really important when visiting such a place. She is the best guide we met on this trip.
This is a replica of the famous Simuwu Large Square Ding. The scale and patterns are almost the same, but the characters lack a sense of design, which is a bit off.
The authentic Shang Dynasty cultural relics make you feel the cultural heritage of an ancient civilization.
Yinxu is a must-see place when you come to Anyang. In terms of transportation, there are not many buses, but taxis can usually reach the destination within 10 yuan.
Yinxu is the site of the capital of the late Shang Dynasty. The Tomb of Fu Hao, the Oracle Bone Pile and the Simuwu Large Square Ding are the finest artifacts unearthed here.
Yinxu is an important stop on our trip. It is also a place where we lingered for most of the day without entering the museum. Here we can study the oracle bone inscriptions and the beautiful patterns on the bronze ware up close. Fortunately, we met a volunteer guide who explained the essence of Yinxu in detail. His words revealed his passion for Anyang, Yinxu, and the history of the Xia and Shang dynasties. Thanks to the volunteers!
There are two main scenic spots in Yinxu, one is the Yinxu Palace Temple Site, including the Yinxu Museum, and the other is the Yinxu Royal Tombs Site. A ticket costs 90 yuan. Anyang just had a heavy snowfall. The entire Yinxu landscape is actually mainly underground. There are only some palaces and tombs on the ground. It is basically flat land. It snowed heavily, so there is basically nothing to see on the ground. The pictures of Yinxu I saw on the Internet before were all gray sky and loess ground, but what I saw was a vast expanse of white snow, which has a different flavor.
As a national 5A-level tourist attraction and a world cultural heritage, there are very few tourists in Yinxu.
The museum is built underground. Following the names and years of Chinese dynasties, it slowly walks from the Qing Dynasty to the Shang Dynasty. It has a very historical design:
One of the world heritage sites, but there are still few people. So you can see it more comfortably. A must-go place to learn about oracle bones.
Behind the Yin Ruins are houses built to imitate the palaces of the Shang Dynasty, filled with unearthed cultural relics. Quietly experiencing them, I imagined that the ancients had also walked on the land I had walked on, and imagined how they used the tripod and bone needles to celebrate and do their work.
This is definitely a must-see. If you are interested in the history of the Shang Dynasty, this is not to be missed.
If you don't go to Yinxu in Anyang, where else would you like to go?
For those who love history and traditional culture, Yinxu must be on their wish list in their lifetime. At Anyang Railway Station, there is a "Y6" bus that goes directly to the ticket office of the scenic spot, which runs about half an hour; it is also very convenient to take a taxi, which does not exceed 10 yuan. The entire Yinxu scenic area is divided into two parts, the Yinxu Ancestral Temple and Palace Site Protection Area and the Yinxu Royal Mausoleum Site Protection Area. The two places are 5 kilometers apart. One ticket is all-inclusive, including the tickets for the two places and the transportation shuttle bus fees. The shuttle bus is in the parking lot in front of the ticket office and runs every half an hour. When visiting, you usually go to the palace and ancestral temple site first. The visitor center and ticket office are here. Fu Hao's Tomb and Yinxu Museum are also here. It is recommended to ask for an explanation, which will be more rewarding. It takes most of the day to visit the entire scenic area. It is a place worth visiting!
