East Lake Ecological Tourism Scenic Area

I have been to East Lake before, but the East Lake was in a mess before and had not been properly managed. This year is the first year after the East Lake was managed. Not only did the river bank repair, but all the East Lake greenways were connected. It is said that a greenway of more than 100 kilometers was formed. Of course, cherry blossom viewing is still my biggest goal. First, how to get to East Lake Scenic Area? East Lake Scenic Area is in Wuchang District, Wuhan. There are many buses that can reach here. Of course, I think the most convenient way is to take a taxi, but during the cherry blossom season, um, the traffic here is very congested, so I suggest you take the bus if you can. If you take a taxi, you can only get off and walk a few more steps. East Lake Scenic Area is divided into several scenic areas, such as Luoyan Moshan, Tingtao, etc. Other scenic areas do not require tickets. Only Moshan Scenic Area requires tickets during the cherry blossom season. The ticket is 120 yuan per ticket. But I really think this ticket is worth it. The cherry blossoms are so beautiful. As soon as I entered the gate of East Lake, I was attracted by a huge plaque with the words East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden written on it.

There are willow trees along the way, the lake is sparkling, and there are large tracts of Metasequoia trees. It is very pleasant and makes me envy the residents living near East Lake.

You can take a boat or bus to the cherry blossom garden to enjoy the cherry blossoms in the East Lake Scenic Area, but we were very lucky to choose a way that we did not regret - cycling. We scanned the code of the Hellobike bike and the beauty along the way was breathtaking.

I have always loved the tree-lined avenues, especially the two rows of tall Metasequoia trees. Riding along the East Lake, with the gentle breeze and warm sunshine, makes me feel like a free and passionate soul.

The greenway by the East Lake fascinated me, so we went cycling there for two consecutive afternoons.

It is important to remember to buy the electric car ticket before 5:30! We entered the scenic area quite late and rode the shared bicycle to the entrance and then walked. It turned out to be a big mistake!

First, we could no longer borrow bicycles in the park. The ones parked on the roadside without owners were basically broken. Moreover, the sightseeing electric vehicles would no longer pick up passengers after 5:30. We were stuck on our own and had to go back to the bus terminal. We watched as other people rode bicycles around East Lake and went back.

We entered the wrong entrance at the beginning, which was not accessible for bicycles. There was a park right at the entrance, which led to the tragedy later. Everyone should remember to find the entrance that bicycles can enter before entering Moshan Scenic Area

The park is full of late autumn scenery, which is not much different from other parks. I walked around and took photos along the way.

East Lake Park, located in the eastern part of Wuchang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, is the largest urban lake in China, with a water area of 33 square kilometers, six times that of West Lake in Hangzhou. Public Transportation

Subway: Take Subway Line 2 to Liyuan Station Exit C. After exiting the station, walk about 5 minutes to reach Donghu Park.

Bus: There are many bus lines that go directly to East Lake Park, such as No. 402, No. 413, No. 682, etc. You can choose the appropriate bus line according to your departure location.

Self-driving: The park has a parking lot, but parking spaces are limited during holidays. It is recommended to arrive early or take public transportation.

The schedule was not very tight, but I was able to ride a bike with my friends in East Lake. The scenery was pleasant. It had been a long time since I rode a bike around. When I was tired, I stopped to find a shade to sit down and take a rest, take photos and check in. Wuhan University was nearby, so I went straight to Wuhan University after visiting East Lake.

At Wuhan East Lake, you can enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms and attend a cherry blossom feast to dispel the gloomy mood of the previous day.

East Lake Park was still crowded with people, but we went there earlier, so the weather was better and we took a lot of photos. I chatted with a Wuhan native and found out that Wuhan natives also love to come to East Lake to see cherry blossoms every year, so there are always many tourists in East Lake Park at this time of year.

It's a great place to come every now and then, it's great!! But for me personally, it lacks the element of adventure, so I think it's enough to come once, but it would definitely be better if couples or families come here~

The East Lake Scenic Area is very large and it takes a long time to walk there. Moreover, since I live by the sea, I am not particularly attracted to the scenery by the lake. In addition, I was a little tired after walking for a long time. I thought that there was still a long way to go and many mountains to climb, so I took a tour bus for a circle. However, since it was almost time to get off work, the tour bus did not stop at the scenic spots, which meant I just walked around the scenic spots. I was not very interested.

The East Lake is so big that I didn't really visit it. The East Lake is right outside the Lingbo Gate of Wuhan University. If you just want to see the East Lake, which is three times larger than the West Lake, it is a good idea to connect it with Wuhan University. The East Lake area of Lingbo Gate is a good place for Wuhan locals to spend the summer. With the water vapor of the East Lake, you can breathe in the smell of Wuhan.

The East Lake Scenic Area is very large. The lake is very, very large, six times the size of the West Lake. The Tingtao Scenic Area we went to is also very large. There are many cruise ships and speedboats by the lake, and you can bargain.

East Lake is so big, it's like the sea. We had limited time, so we only walked around Moshan. Wuhan is a city with plenty of parking lots, and there are many parking lots around the huge East Lake. It's better to come to East Lake in spring, summer and autumn. It's a bit cold in winter, but there is a winter plum exhibition under Moshan, you can go and see it in winter.

The East Lake is very big. Bicycles are not allowed near the lake in the scenic area, but there is a road around the lake, which is only for sightseeing buses. I only went to the Tingtao Scenic Area in winter. The withered yellow leaves are as amazing as snow for me, a southerner. In addition, the swimming pool is one of the travel frog check-in places. I have been looking for this place for a long time...

There are many water towns scattered across Wuhan, which are no less beautiful than those in the south of the Yangtze River, especially East Lake, which is six times the size of West Lake in Hangzhou and has beautiful scenery. East Lake is too big, there are too many tourists, and there are too few electric vehicles. The staff all persuaded us: the electric vehicles are stuck on the road, so it is better to walk by ourselves.

I rode around East Lake for 3 hours in the middle of the night. There was a section where I was not allowed to go, and it was a long detour. It was nice to walk around.

We rode to the shore of East Lake, but East Lake is only suitable for daytime visits. It is pitch black at night and nothing can be seen. The entire scenic area of East Lake can be visited by bicycle, but bicycles are not allowed to enter the several small scenic areas included in the entire scenic area. It is very comfortable to ride a bicycle in the boulevard. I chose to go clockwise around East Lake. The northernmost end of East Lake is Wuhan Happy Valley. When riding a bicycle through here, I can hear screams from the roller coaster from time to time. There is also a park venue for BMX, skateboarding, and roller skating in East Lake. The entrances on both sides of Moshan Scenic Area are guarded by security guards and cannot be entered by bicycle. It is a great enjoyment to ride a bicycle in Moshan, which is like the Wizard of Oz. The hill behind the bridge is Ma'anshan Forest Park, which can be reached by riding along the East Lake Greenway. I like the greenway here very much. The road surface is flat and there are ups and downs. Riding is not monotonous.

East Lake is really too big, and the lakeshore is very long (it is not recommended for non-professional cyclists).

Suggestions: The biggest feature of East Lake is that it is huge. Generally, you only need to choose one scenic spot to visit. Among them, Moshan Scenic Area and Tingtao Scenic Area are the two most visited scenic spots by tourists, but I heard that the most beautiful scenery of East Lake is in Luoyan Scenic Area (very far away).

In October, Wuhan is as hot as summer. Although there are no lotus flowers, the lotus leaves are still green.

There are many types of cruise ships to choose from. Just thinking about taking a boat and feeling the breeze as it drifts on the lake is very relaxing (but I didn't take one, I just walked).

The East Lake is peaceful and tranquil with row upon row of buildings, narrow lake embankment and rolling mountains.

Sitting on a rattan chair by the lake, I just quietly looked at the turquoise lake. As the last stop of the trip to Wuhan, it was not bad to end with such a lake view.

The cheers and screams on the lake mostly came from young people who were parachuting on speedboats.

The nearest scenic spot is more than 10km away. Donghu Lake is really big.

Recommended index: 3 stars. You can see Fengguang Village when you go out of the East Gate of Wuhan University. Fengguang Village is next to East Lake. When I was walking on the pier, I saw a bride and groom taking wedding photos before going up the pier. They didn't even need a blower. The strong wind blowing from the lake lifted up the bride's skirt. I shivered just by looking at it. It was so cold.

The East Lake Scenic Area is large, has a beautiful environment, and few people. It is a great place for leisure and wandering!

The night before I went to East Lake, I took a Didi taxi back to the Youth Hostel. When I passed by East Lake, I saw a long bridge, the "Guanggu Bridge". I thought I had reached the Yangtze River, so in my opinion, the span of East Lake is indeed large, and the lake area is also large. Wuhan University is located on the bank of East Lake. The sightseeing route is very unique, but there is a risk of falling into the water if you are not careful.

The plum garden is beautiful and worth a visit. The weather is also good.

Unfortunately, it was raining when I went there, so the boat to Moshan was not open.
