The Yellow Crane Tower was packed with people during the May Day holiday.

As a well-known scenic spot in Wuhan, most people come here to check in. The crowds during the May Day holiday are really amazing, even more than the scenic spot itself.

In terms of transportation, there are many buses in the city that can reach it, which is very convenient and does not require a long journey. There is also the Xinhai Revolution Museum nearby, which can be visited together. Buying tickets online can save a few yuan, and you need to buy them one day in advance.

The building itself is worth seeing, and the scenic area is well planned, but I can only say that during the May Day holiday, all I could see was the sea of people and I couldn't take care of anything else.

The queue to go up the stairs is much longer than the queue for the roller coaster in the amusement park. Hundreds and thousands of people swarm in, go around the building several times, and move forward at a snail's pace. It takes basically several hours to climb up the stairs, so you must be mentally prepared.

A brilliant journey of cultural heritage in Jingchu - a tour of Wuhan

【Yellow Crane Tower】

"Yellow Crane Tower", a seven-character poem by Cui Hao, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, has inspired later generations with great admiration for the Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan. The poet Li Bai climbed the tower twice, but because of Cui Hao's poem, he resisted the urge to write another poem.

~Location

The Yellow Crane Tower is located on the top of Snake Mountain in Wuchang. It is magnificent and in a straight line with the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge to the west. Standing on the top of the tower, you can have a panoramic view of the Yangtze River and the three towns of Wuhan, with endless beautiful views.

~Ticket Price

Come out of Shouyi Square and head north. There is a path opposite the south gate of Yellow Crane Tower Park. Walk up the high steps to enter the park. The ticket price is 70 yuan, and 65 yuan if purchased online. You can enter the park directly by swiping your ID card. There are no paper tickets.

~Environment

Entering the park, there is a quiet back garden with a calm pond and pavilions. Continue uphill to reach the main base of the Yellow Crane Tower. Opposite a flat open space is a high platform with a large clock on it, facing the Yellow Crane Tower in the distance.

From the high platform, you can take a panoramic view of the east side of the Yellow Crane Tower. If you come to visit in the morning, taking photos from here is the first choice. There is also a high pavilion behind the big bell, which is far away and we did not go there.

Highlights

The Yellow Crane Tower has a total of five floors, but only four floors are open now. There is an elevator inside that can accommodate people over 70 years old. The building is made of concrete and the stairs on both sides are very solid. There are models of the Yellow Crane Tower from different eras on the upper floors. The shape and scale of each dynasty are different, each with its own characteristics.

~History

The Yellow Crane Tower was first built in the second year of Huangwu in the Eastern Wu Dynasty during the Three Kingdoms period. It was a watchtower at that time. It began to take shape after the Tang Dynasty and reached its peak in the Song Dynasty. It was rebuilt and abandoned many times afterwards. The last time it was rebuilt was in 1981 according to the original style of the Qing Dynasty.

Coming out of the west gate of the Yellow Crane Tower, you are facing the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, and next to it is the famous Hubu Street snack street. Cai Linji, the founder of Wuhan hot dry noodles, is here. There are also many internet-famous snacks gathered here. At night, there is a constant stream of diners.

Coming out of the north gate of the Yellow Crane Tower, you will see Yanzhi Road. Going north from Yanzhi Road, you will see Liangdao Street, where there are many restaurants of all sizes. Master Zhao's hot dry noodles and many internet-famous barbecues are all on this street. Further north is Tanhualin, a distinctive bar art street and a popular place for young people to take photos.

I have been here for a long time but have not been to the Yellow Crane Tower, because I heard locals say that the Yellow Crane Tower is just a building and there is nothing to visit. The score of China-TravelNote is not high, so I have been dragging it. I bought the ticket on China-TravelNote for 65 yuan, and it said that there is a mobile tour guide, but I didn’t find it. I don’t know if there is one. The west gate should be close to the Yellow Crane Tower. You can see it at the door. There are still many people in the park. I suggest that you try not to come on weekends, otherwise there will be no place to take pictures. I won’t talk about other scenery in the park. The focus is of course the Yellow Crane Tower. There are staff on the first floor to give explanations. It seems to be 100 yuan per person, and you need to check your ticket twice to enter the building, so don’t lose the QR code. There are souvenirs around the second floor of the building. Of course, there are no souvenirs on other floors. From the second floor, you can go to Wuhan’s buildings and the Yangtze River Bridge. Going up, there are models of the Yellow Crane Tower in different periods. Now it is the first version. The top floor is under maintenance from March to August. It’s a pity that I couldn’t go up. In general, as a 5A-level scenic spot, it still has certain historical significance and visiting value. It is not as boring as imagined. The park is not that big. I walked slowly and took about 200 photos by myself, which took about two and a half hours. All the photos were taken directly from a broken mobile phone, so everyone can only make do with them.

The Yellow Crane Tower is a very historic building. As a pure Northeasterner like me, I like it very much, especially when I am with someone who loves me. We started from Hefei. It costs 133.5 yuan to take the high-speed rail from Hefei South Station to Wuhan Station. After getting off the high-speed rail, I took the subway. I got off at Shouyi Station. I seemed to get off late, and I had to walk more than one kilometer, but it was okay, not too far. Normally, I should get off at Wuchang Railway Station and walk to the Yellow Crane Tower. Since I got off, I bought the ticket at the East Gate. 70 per person, the mountain is not particularly high, and the distance is okay. I took pictures along the way, admired the scenery and buildings, and stood on the top of the main building to see about half of the city. It is worth a visit. This is my first time to write a travel note. I just hope that everyone will not go the wrong way like me. Well, I will stop here. My boyfriend asked me to go wash up😍😍😍

Before I went there, I thought the Yellow Crane Tower was just an ordinary attic, but after I went there, I realized that it was quite large; the modern version of the Yellow Crane Tower has 4 floors, displaying models of the Yellow Crane Tower from past dynasties, famous poems, etc. Climbing the tower and looking north, you will see the Yangtze River Bridge and the Yangtze River flowing eastward, and you will have a deeper understanding of "the rolling Yangtze River flows eastward" and "the old friend bids farewell to the Yellow Crane Tower to the west"; the Yellow Crane Tower scenic area is very large, and there are Baiyun Pavilion, Ziwei Garden, Luomei Pavilion, Poetry Monument Gallery, and Strange Stone Museum. The chime song and dance show in the Luomei Pavilion performance hall is not to be missed. It is held every half an hour, and each show lasts 30 minutes. You need to buy a separate ticket

The Yellow Crane Tower is a park. You can enter the park from the south gate. The gate of the park is the gatehouse of the No. 1 Tower in the World. Along the road, there are Goose Pond, Relief of Returning Crane, Poem Pavilion, Poem of Cui Hao, Millennium Bell, Yellow Crane Tower, Big Archway, Return of the Yellow Crane, etc. There is a map introduction at the entrance of the scenic spot. The Yellow Crane Tower has only five floors from the outside, but there are more than five floors inside. It seems to be nine floors. I forgot. There is a picture of white clouds and yellow cranes on the first floor. It looks like colored porcelain. It is blinding when the light is strong. There are models of the Yellow Crane Tower in various dynasties on the second or third floor. There are various literati on the fourth floor. You can see the Yangtze River, Hankou, Turtle Mountain opposite the bridge, and Snake Mountain at the foot of the Yellow Crane Tower from the top of the fifth floor. I went there in a hurry. I landed in the morning and stayed at Jianghan Road. I had to attend a wedding in the evening. I looked here and there and took pictures and left. Even so, it took two hours. Entering the scenic area, you can take a car to the Yellow Crane Tower or walk there. I chose to walk, there were few people, and after passing a series of archways, you will see the statue of Yue Fei. The statue of Yue Fei is wise and brave, with extraordinary bearing.

The Yellow Crane Tower is magnificent. There are seven floors in total, and you can climb to the top floor. You can only walk up, there is no elevator, which is just right for exercise. There is a comic exhibition on the first floor, which is very interesting.

Standing on the Yellow Crane Tower and looking around, I can see the modern city in the distance and feel like I have returned to modern civilization.

Looking around, you can see the scenery in full view. The cars coming and going on the bridge below are just like the modern city in the distance, which makes people feel distracted.

I took advantage of the weekend to travel from Beijing to Wuhan. It was a spontaneous trip. I took a 10-hour train to Wuchang. I was so hungry when I arrived at the station at 7 o'clock that I went straight to Hubu Lane to find something delicious (maybe eating was the motivation for my trip). Every city must have one or two food streets to support it.

The Yellow Crane Tower, a popular check-in spot for tourists, was built by Sun Quan to defend the city and to look out for the city in order to achieve his goal of "ruling the country with military power". In the Tang Dynasty, its military nature gradually evolved into a famous scenic spot. Literati and poets of all dynasties visited here and left many popular poems. The Yellow Crane Tower has been destroyed and rebuilt many times. The modern Yellow Crane Tower is five stories high and even more magnificent. Standing on the top floor and looking at the Yangtze River, I can't help but think of "the lone sail is far away in the blue sky, and only the Yangtze River is seen flowing across the sky"

Take a break and head to Hubei Provincial Museum now!

Located on the peak of Wuchang Snake Mountain on the south bank of Wuhan Yangtze River, it is a national 5A-level tourist attraction, known as "the first tower in the world" and "the most beautiful scenery in the world". It is a landmark building in Wuhan, and is known as one of the three major scenic spots in Wuhan along with Qingchuan Pavilion and Guqin Terrace. The Yellow Crane Tower was first built in the second year of Huangwu in the Wu Dynasty during the Three Kingdoms period (223 AD). Cui Hao, a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty, wrote a poem "Climbing the Yellow Crane Tower" here, making it famous. The building is 5 stories high, with a total height of 51.4 meters and a construction area of 3,219 square meters. The entire building has a unique national style, which complements the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge at the foot of Snake Mountain; climbing the tower and looking out, you can see the scenery of the three towns of Wuhan.

The Yellow Crane Tower is a landmark building in Wuhan, one of the three or four famous towers in China. Locals in Wuhan may not go there, but as an outsider, I feel that I have not been to Wuhan if I don't visit the Yellow Crane Tower, so I bought a ticket to see it. The Yellow Crane Tower is not very high. I climbed to the top floor and looked out to see the Yangtze River Bridge, but the rest are modern buildings, and they are very ordinary and unremarkable, so I was a little disappointed. The problem is that if you want to see the Yellow Crane Tower up close, you have to buy a ticket to enter the Yellow Crane Tower Park, so you have to spend money. There are still several small attractions in the Yellow Crane Tower Park, some of which are also OK.

I'm sorry, I think the famous Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan is just so-so.

The current Yellow Crane Tower is a completely rebuilt building, even its location is different.

The smoky cranes downstairs are also artificially sprayed.

The stairs are narrow and steep, so you just have to climb, climb, climb, climb, and climb.

After climbing up and walking around, you will see the vast scenery... This is probably the only attraction of the Yellow Crane Tower.

My husband is sighing, "The Yellow Crane has really gone and will never come back, but the white clouds are still floating in the sky for thousands of years."

Suddenly! I have diarrhea!

The kind that is totally out of control. (⊙x⊙;)

The remaining memories are "Excuse me", "Please let me", "Excuse me", and rushing down the Yellow Crane Tower to find the bathroom.

When I came out of the toilet, it was raining heavily.

My husband and I were trapped in a pavilion under the Yellow Crane Tower, and the rest of our trip was ruined.

Looking at the endless rain,

I asked my husband: Do you blame me for only going up for ten minutes and then coming down because of this kind of plot?

My husband smiled and said, "This is life, it's a drag, but it's fun."

There is poetry in the building and there is a building in the poetry.

The crane has left and the tower is empty, but the poem remains in the world.

The buildings and poems complement each other and have been passed down through the ages.

Yellow Crane Tower is a must-visit place when visiting Wuhan. "The ancients have gone away on the yellow crane, and only the Yellow Crane Tower remains here." This is a holy place for literati and poets. Walking here, Cui Hao's poems will circle in your mind. The Yellow Crane Tower, the beautiful scenery and poems are intoxicating. To visit the Yellow Crane Tower, you must choose a day with good weather, otherwise you will not be able to see the Yangtze River. Parking is convenient around the scenic spot, the ticket price is 70 yuan, and people over 65 years old are free of charge. The former site of the Wuchang Uprising is only 200 meters away from here. It closes before 4 pm. You can go there together after visiting the Yellow Crane Tower.

It turns out that you have to get close to know how majestic the Yellow Crane Tower is. Standing under the majestic Yellow Crane Tower, watching its golden eaves curling up to the blue sky, I felt like I was soaring. Climbing to the top floor of the Yellow Crane Tower, the scenery upstairs is wider and wider. As the houses get smaller and smaller, a long silver-gray belt slowly appears and becomes wider and wider. That is the Yangtze River. It is indeed a bit breathless to climb to the fifth floor in one breath. The view on the observation deck is wide, and a cool breeze blows away the heat and blows the heartstrings. This feeling is probably the same as that of the poets Li Bai and Cui Hao back then. I understand that the fame of the Yellow Crane Tower is not only because of the beauty of the pavilion architecture, but also because it always gives people who climb the tower a kind of emotion. This emotion can be the sadness of Li Bai bidding farewell to his friends, or the sorrow of Cui Hao leaving his hometown.

"The ancients have gone away on the yellow crane, and only the Yellow Crane Tower remains here." The Yellow Crane Tower is located on the peak of Sheshan Mountain in Wuchang, on the south bank of the Yangtze River in Wuhan, Hubei Province. It is a national 5A-level tourist attraction and is known as "the first tower in the world" and "the most beautiful scenery in the world." I traveled to Wuhan in December 2015 and saw the long-admired Yellow Crane Tower. The Yellow Crane Tower, Qingchuan Pavilion and Guqin Terrace are known as the "three major scenic spots in Wuhan." A number of auxiliary buildings such as the bronze yellow crane shape, Shengxiang Pagoda, archway, corridor, pavilion, etc. outside the Yellow Crane Tower set off the main building more magnificent. There are also buildings such as Baiyun Pavilion, Xiang Pagoda, stele corridor, mountain gate, etc. around the main building. The whole building has a unique national style, which complements the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge at the foot of Sheshan Mountain; when you climb the tower and look out, you can see the scenery of the three towns of Wuhan.

The Yellow Crane Tower has the reputation of being the best tower in the world. This is my second time to visit it, and there probably won't be a third time, because Wuhan is located in the Yangtze River fortress and it is flat, so it has been a must-take place for military strategists since ancient times. People in the past did not have the awareness of preserving ancient monuments, and every time they captured a place, they would destroy the landmarks built by the enemy.

The Yellow Crane Tower has been destroyed and rebuilt in successive dynasties, so the scale and appearance of the Yellow Crane Tower in different dynasties are different. The Yellow Crane Tower we see now was built after the founding of New China. To be honest, I don’t have much interest in this kind of copycat that is not a historical site. If it weren’t for its fame and my friends’ insistence on coming, I probably wouldn’t spend money to revisit it.

The red wall at Exit C of "Simenkou Yellow Crane Tower Station" on Metro Line 5 is a great place to check in! But there are also a lot of people, not to mention some small photography teams taking up space, so be prepared if you want to take photos in this place

The Yellow Crane Tower is located on the bank of the Yangtze River in Wuchang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. It was first built in the second year of the Huangwu reign of the Wu Kingdom (223 AD). At that time, Sun Quan built the Xiakou City and named it the Yellow Crane Tower because of the reef in the southwest corner of the city. It was originally built for military purposes and used for observation. After that, it was destroyed and rebuilt many times, and was rebuilt in 1985.

Many scholars and writers of all ages have visited the Yellow Crane Tower and left behind a large number of poems and essays. Among them, the Yellow Crane Tower by Cui Hao, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, is the most famous, making the Yellow Crane Tower famous. In addition, Li Bai, Bai Juyi, Yue Fei, Mao Zedong and others also have poems and lyrics about the Yellow Crane Tower.

I wandered around for two hours and the result was as expected. If you go to such a famous historic site with the expectation of shocking people, you will only get a "so-so" conclusion in the end. When visiting such a cultural landscape, you just want to be there, use your imagination, appreciate the history of things, and experience the feeling of "looking at things, there is nothing special". In an instant, your status has risen!

My feeling of "no difference" about Yellow Crane Tower mainly comes from the comparison with Yueyang Tower and Tengwang Pavilion. Yueyang Tower and Yellow Crane Tower were both built during the Three Kingdoms period of Sun Quan, and the purpose of their construction was for military deployment. In comparison, Tengwang Pavilion is a bit inferior. The purpose of building Tengwang Pavilion was entirely for eating, drinking and having fun. Tengwang was Li Yuanying, the younger brother of Li Shimin. He first built a pavilion in Tengzhou, Shandong, and then built another one in Nanchang. Both towers were called "Tengwang Pavilion", but no one knows the one in Shandong.

But these three towers have one thing in common: they are famous not because of their original intentions, but because of the integration of humanistic factors by literati and poets. However, the degree of cultural sense among them is still different. The cultural skeleton of the Yellow Crane Tower can be said to be the most full. After all, the story of the immortal riding a crane was invented in the Jin Dynasty. Later, the great poets of the Tang Dynasty supplemented the secondary creation, which successfully established the cultural IP. Why does the Yellow Crane Tower have so many mythological stories and poetry creations? Let's guess, it's not because the architectural art of this building is exquisite, to the extent that it stimulates the inspiration of literati; but because of the location of this building, in the future development history, its status continues to rise, attracting many eyes, and more people come, so there will be more feelings. Wuhan began in Xiakou, which was established by Sun Quan, and then became an important town in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. Its status is incomparable to Yueyang and Nanchang.

Therefore, when you visit the Yellow Crane Tower, you will find that there are poems and songs everywhere, or murals based on mythological stories. In comparison, the Yueyang Tower only has an article "Yueyang Tower Record" and Du Fu's "Climbing Yueyang Tower", which is a bit culturally desolate; the Tengwang Pavilion is trying to create a cultural IP, but the content inside is basically centered around the story of Brother Bo. To sum it up, the Yellow Crane Tower is a place to create a cultural style. When you come here, don't have the desire for sensory stimulation. All you want is to review what people in Chinese history said and what they said, and to understand the development process of Wuhan. That's enough. Speaking of sensory stimulation, among the three famous towers in the south of the Yangtze River, the scenery of the Yueyang Tower is the best, the Yellow Crane Tower is very average, and the Tengwang Pavilion is even worse.

Finally, I'll write down some of the names of the Yellow Crane Tower that are quite meaningful. The front of the Yellow Crane Tower is decorated with "Qi Tun Yunmeng", and the back is decorated with "Chu Tian Ji Mu" and "Lian Juan Qian Kun". The two pavilions in front are named Lan Hong and Kan Chuan respectively. These two names are good and can even be used as names of people. There are many stone tablets and plaques along the way of the Yellow Crane Tower, such as Lotus Breeze Sending Fragrance, Bamboo Dew Dropping Clear, White Flowers Splashing in the Waves, which are full of freshness. I'll just write them down.

By Shrimp |

Before I went, I saw people say that the Yellow Crane Tower was not interesting, but if we didn't go to the Yellow Crane Tower when we were in Wuhan, where should we go? So I had to go. After I went, I felt it was worth it. First of all, this is the landmark building of Wuhan. It is better than the reinforced concrete structure of the Tianning Pagoda in Changzhou. Secondly, climbing to the top of the Yellow Crane Tower is equivalent to reaching a high point in the city. You can basically overlook the important street scenes in Wuhan city. When the weather is clear, several Yangtze River bridges are very spectacular. I also saw cars passing by on the bridge, and snake-like trains came out of the bridge hole, which was pretty good.

I searched for Yellow Crane Tower on the WeChat applet and booked the ticket. So when I arrived, I could just swipe my ID card to enter, which was very convenient.

【Yellow Crane Tower】

Hubei Yellow Crane Tower, Hunan Yueyang Tower, Jiangxi Tengwang Pavilion are known as the three famous towers in Jiangnan, and Shanxi Guanque Tower is one of the four famous towers in China. Its earliest history can be traced back to the Three Kingdoms period, in 223 AD. It has been repeatedly abandoned and rebuilt. What we see in front of us is the Tongzhi Tower in the Qing Dynasty, which was rebuilt in 1985. The Yellow Crane Tower is five stories high, with a total height of 51.4 meters and a construction area of 3,219 square meters. There are 72 columns inside the Yellow Crane Tower, 60 corners extending outward on the outside, and the roof is covered with more than 100,000 yellow glazed tiles.

I have heard about the Yellow Crane Tower since school days, and I know the poems by heart.

"Yellow Crane Tower" by Cui Hao, a Tang Dynasty poet

The ancients have gone away on the yellow crane, leaving only the Yellow Crane Tower here.

The yellow crane has gone away and will never return, and the white clouds float in the sky for thousands of years.

The clear river reveals the trees of Hanyang, and the fragrant grass covers the Parrot Island.

Where is my hometown at dusk? The misty river makes me sad.

Later, Li Bai, who climbed the Yellow Crane Tower, sighed: "The scenery before my eyes is beyond description, as Cui Ke has written a poem on it."

Must-visit places for Wuhan travel | Yellow Crane Tower

I think there are probably not many people who cannot recite Li Bai's "Farewell to Meng Haoran on his Way to Guangling". As a result, the Yellow Crane Tower has become the most famous tourist attraction in Wuhan. If you don't take a walk around the Yellow Crane Tower, you would feel embarrassed to say that you have been to Wuhan.

.

However, there were so many people at this iconic attraction. We arrived at around 11 o'clock and were lucky enough to be able to make an appointment to enter. However, there were so many people inside, and the queue upstairs was shoulder to shoulder. This scene successfully discouraged us from going in.

.

I silently recite Li Bai's poem in my heart: "My old friend bids farewell to the Yellow Crane Tower, and goes to Yangzhou in March with fireworks. The lone sail disappears into the blue sky, and only the Yangtze River is visible flowing across the horizon." I still sigh at the poetic talent of the ancients. No matter how much time has passed, classics are still classics.

.

TIPS: You can make an appointment on the Yellow Crane Tower mini app before coming here~

There were performances at regular intervals, and we watched the tail end (the last 10 seconds...)

Yellow Crane Tower, a national 5A-level tourist attraction, one of the three famous towers in Jiangnan, and a landmark building in Wuhan, was first built in the second year of Huangwu in the Eastern Wu Dynasty during the Three Kingdoms period (223 AD). After repeated reconstruction, the current tower was rebuilt in 1981 and completed in 1985. The Yellow Crane Tower during the Three Kingdoms period was originally a military watchtower in Xiakou City. Later, with the development of Jiangxia, it gradually evolved into a viewing tower where officials, businessmen, and travelers would "travel" and "banquet". The poem "Yellow Crane Tower" by the Tang Dynasty poet Cui Hao pushed its reputation to the peak.

The ticket price is 70 yuan, the tour time is less than an hour, and what you see and climb are only imitation buildings that are only a few decades old. Many people who come here to check in will feel that it is not worth it. But to be fair, judging by the standards of a building, whether it is momentum, layout, geographical location, etc., the Yellow Crane Tower is considered to be a top-notch work in China.

The Yellow Crane Tower was first built in the second year of Huangwu in the Wu Dynasty during the Three Kingdoms period (223 AD). During the Three Kingdoms period, the tower was just a "military tower" for looking out and guarding a corner of Xiakou City. After the Jin Dynasty destroyed the Eastern Wu, the Three Kingdoms were unified. While the tower lost its military value, it gradually evolved into a viewing tower for officials, businessmen and travelers to "travel" and "banquet". The Tang Dynasty poet Cui Hao wrote the poem "Yellow Crane Tower" here, and Li Bai wrote "Farewell to Meng Haoran at the Yellow Crane Tower" here. Literati and poets of all dynasties have left many eternal masterpieces here, making the Yellow Crane Tower famous since ancient times.

I studied in Wuhan for four years, and I haven't been to the Yellow Crane Tower for ten years after graduation. I think I am getting farther and farther away from Wuhan. I haven't been back to Wuhan for nine years. I took the opportunity of the tenth anniversary party after graduation to visit it. The Yellow Crane Tower is just average, not surprising, and of course not as bad as everyone says.

Li Bai's poems have always lingered in my ears.

Facts have proved that the wisest choice to visit popular attractions is to get up early and enter as soon as it opens. I arrived at the entrance of Yellow Crane Tower at 8 o'clock in the morning because the Jinjiang Star Hotel where I stayed was also close. After checking my ticket, I went straight to the Yellow Crane Tower and then visited other attractions in the park slowly. At 8 o'clock, the weather was not yet hot at the Yellow Crane Tower and there were few people. I successfully avoided the tour groups.

In the morning, there is still a misty air under the Yellow Crane Tower, which is very artistic under the rising sun, and the yellow crane is looming in front of the tower.

The 70 RMB ticket is quite reasonable. Booking tickets online in advance costs 65 RMB, but there are no paper tickets. For someone like me who likes to collect tickets during travel, I still prefer paper tickets. The Yellow Crane Tower has five floors, but only four floors are open; the only elevator is also unusable.

I found that most of the scenic spots in Wuhan are free. It is the only one among all the scenic spots I have visited that charges an entrance fee of ¥70. The business hours are: 8:00-18:00

There are five floors above and below, and you can overlook Hankou and Hanyang districts from the upstairs, which has a beautiful view.

I went to Chongqing/Three Gorges for the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2018, and ended up at the Yellow Crane Tower. It is so famous that I feel like I am not traveling if I don't come here.

It is correct to take a train from Beijing to Wuchang/Wuhan/Hankou, just like Beijing West Railway Station/South Railway Station/Beijing Railway Station, you can take the subway to get there, and they are not too far from each other.

The Yellow Crane Tower was built during the Three Kingdoms period under Sun Quan. It became famous because of the poem by Cui Hao of the Tang Dynasty: "The ancients have gone away on the yellow crane, and only the Yellow Crane Tower remains here." Later, it was destroyed and rebuilt many times due to wars...

When the weather is fine, you can see the scenery of Wuhan dozens of kilometers away from the top viewing platform, including the Yangtze River and the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge. Go out from the west gate and walk north to the railway bridge to Hubu Lane. The Yellow Crane Tower is built on Snake Mountain. "Mountains are not famous for their height, but for the immortals who live there." The poet Li Bai left a good sentence, needless to say. There are a statue of Yue Fei, chime performances, Mid-Autumn Festival poetry meetings, patriotic song singing and other rich mass activities here. It is suitable for both ancient and modern times, and is appreciated by both the elite and the masses. It is an ideal place for patriotic education activities!

It is near the Second Yangtze River Bridge. You can see it every time you cross the river. Go up from Simenkou. I heard that if you find 7 people from Wuhan who have been to the Yellow River Tower, you can summon the dragon. Haha

The Yellow Crane Tower is located on the top of Snake Mountain at an altitude of 61.7 meters. It was designed based on the "Tongzhi Tower" of the Qing Dynasty. Trains on the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway roar past the tower below. The tower is 5 stories high, with a total height of 51.4 meters and a construction area of 3,219 square meters. The interior of the Yellow Crane Tower is supported by 72 columns, and the exterior has 60 angled corners extending outward. The roof is covered with more than 100,000 yellow glazed tiles.

Outside the Yellow Crane Tower, a group of auxiliary buildings such as the bronze yellow crane sculpture, Shengxiang Pagoda, memorial archway, corridor, pavilion, etc. set off the main building more magnificently. There are also buildings such as Baiyun Pavilion, Xiang Pagoda, stele corridor, mountain gate, etc. around the main building. The whole building has a unique national style, exuding the spirit, temperament and charm of traditional Chinese culture. It complements the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge at the foot of Snake Mountain; when you climb the tower and look out, you can see the scenery of the three towns of Wuhan.

As one of the three famous towers in the south of the Yangtze River, there is a poem like "The old friend bids farewell to the Yellow Crane Tower and goes to Yangzhou in the fireworks of March", which can also prove its antiquity. Its earliest construction can be traced back to the Eastern Wu period of the Three Kingdoms.

Since the ticket to the Yellow Crane Tower is expensive, I never had the heart to go up to see it during college. Almost ten years after graduation, I still came back to climb it. The Yellow Crane Tower scenic area is bigger than I imagined. It takes about 2 hours to walk the whole way. Of course, it is slower to queue up to climb the Yellow Crane Tower. It is also very beautiful to see the night view of the Yellow Crane Tower on the Liangjiang cruise at night.

As one of the three famous towers in Jiangnan, the Yellow Crane Tower is still very famous. However, the ticket is indeed a bit expensive. I recommend that you apply for a one-card pass for 200 yuan, which allows you to visit 44 scenic spots in Wuhan. It is very cost-effective and saves money. You can get your money back after visiting two or three scenic spots. It is still good! You can go to Luomeixuan to watch a 30-minute dance show at the Yellow Crane Tower. This is a good idea. You need to buy a separate ticket for 50 yuan. There is a sightseeing bus from the East Gate that goes directly to the Yellow Crane Tower for a round trip. The ticket price is 10 yuan, but I don’t think it’s useful to buy this. I bought it, but I didn’t use it. I gave it to passers-by! Because it’s only six or seven hundred meters to the Yellow Crane Tower, everyone decides for themselves. Food is a little expensive, so everyone should bring their own water and snacks!

The Yellow Crane Tower is located on the top of Snake Mountain at an altitude of 61.7 meters. It is designed based on the Tongzhi Tower of the Qing Dynasty. It has 5 floors, a total height of 51.4 meters, and a construction area of 3,219 square meters. 72 columns rise from the ground, majestic and steady; 60 corners stretch in the air, just like a yellow crane flying. The roof of the building is covered with more than 100,000 yellow glazed tiles. Against the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds, the Yellow Crane Tower is colorful and magnificent.

The original site of the Yellow Crane Tower is at the Yellow Crane Rock on Sheshan Mountain in Wuchang, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. It was first built in the second year of the Huangwu reign of the Eastern Wu during the Three Kingdoms period (223 AD). The Yuanhe County Map of the Tang Dynasty records that Sun Quan first built the old city of Xiakou. [The west of the city faces the Yangtze River, and the south corner of the city is named the Yellow Crane Tower because of the rock.] It was built for military purposes. According to the Jienlu, it was originally a hotel opened by the Xin family.

In the first year of the Yongtai reign of the Tang Dynasty (765), the Yellow Crane Tower had already taken shape, attracting many Jiangxia celebrities to visit and feast there. However, due to frequent wars, the Yellow Crane Tower was repeatedly rebuilt and destroyed. The last Qing Tower was built in the seventh year of the Tongzhi reign (1868) and destroyed in the tenth year of the Guangxu reign (1884). It has not been rebuilt for nearly a hundred years since then.

In October 1981, the reconstruction of the Yellow Crane Tower began and was completed in June 1985. The main building was modeled after the Tongzhi Tower of the Qing Dynasty, but was taller and more majestic.

This mysterious place that once appeared in textbooks is also one of the reasons for coming to Wuhan. There is always some relief when you climb high and look far. On the way here, my mind was still buzzing with work. Climbing high and looking far, I felt a little more relaxed. The ticket for the scenic spot does not include the performance of Luomeixuan, the performance of chime bells and various ancient musical instruments, which feels good.

First of all, as a history lover, I came here to visit the beautiful scenery of Yellow Crane Tower described by the great poet Li Bai, but it was a very bad experience.

First, why does it have an elevator, and it's the kind that goes straight up and down and doesn't allow people to sit in it. I had finally climbed up and wanted to take the elevator down, but I saw her face that looked like I owed her three generations a million dollars (but, I don't have that much money, otherwise I could just go to the Eiffel Tower and be done with it?) And you let young people sit in it, but you said you didn't allow young people to sit in it after they lined up at the elevator entrance (black question mark???) Am I not a tourist? And the kind of person who flew 800 kilometers to get here, isn't this a waste of time?

Second, the ticket is really not worth the 70 yuan price. The overall feeling is very modern, without a trace of humanistic atmosphere. Maybe they think that carving a stone tablet, building a pavilion, and writing a plaque are already very ancient cultural characteristics.

Third, I don't think I owe the staff a penny, but I also paid to get in, and I didn't get the service and good experience I deserved (although it was a weekend and there were a lot of people, as a famous tourist attraction, the attitude of the staff was so cold and bad?)

Fourth, I think you should just read Baidu Encyclopedia at home. If there are other good places, go there, such as going to see the cherry blossoms or something. Anyway, if you have this idea, give it up as soon as possible!

I have been to the city of Jiang for many times but have not been there. I finally made the trip after a half-day of leisure while waiting for the flight. I climbed the tower and looked into the distance, savoring the artistic conception of "where is my hometown at dusk", "looking west to Chang'an but not seeing my home", "only seeing the Yangtze River flowing across the sky", and my heart was filled with waves and thoughts. A small complaint is that the ticket price of 80 yuan is too expensive. I came here for sentiment.

The Yellow Crane Tower was built and abandoned many times. During the Ming and Qing dynasties alone, it was destroyed 7 times, and rebuilt and repaired 10 times. Later, when the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge was built, the old site of the Yellow Crane Tower was occupied. Today, the Yellow Crane Tower is more than 1,000 meters away from the old site. There is a huge ceramic mural in the lobby on the first floor; the second floor hall is decorated with models of the Yellow Crane Tower from different dynasties; the third floor has murals by famous artists from the Tang and Song dynasties, as well as their famous lines about the Yellow Crane Tower; the fourth floor is divided into several small halls by screens, displaying some contemporary celebrity calligraphy and paintings; the fifth floor has a large mural "The Vast River and Sky" that describes the ancient culture of the Yangtze River and the rise and fall of the Yellow Crane Tower. In fact, there are mezzanines between each floor, so the Yellow Crane Tower has a structure of five outside and nine inside.

I took the subway from Wuhan Railway Station to Shouyi Road Station Exit E and walked straight for 8 minutes to Shouyi Square and the Xinhai Revolution Museum. I walked forward and saw the uprising statue, and then I saw the Xinhai Revolution Memorial Hall. I walked to the right and passed the underground passage to the east gate of the Huanghelou Scenic Area and bought a ticket to enter. In this way, I was able to visit several attractions in one morning.

When you arrive in Wuhan, you still have to check in at the Yellow Crane Tower. During the May Day holiday, there were so many people at this point that it took more than an hour to queue up to go upstairs. However, you can see the Yangtze River Bridge from upstairs, which is quite beautiful. There is actually not much inside. Many tourists are wearing Hanfu and taking pictures, which makes you feel like you have traveled through time.

The Yellow Crane Tower is one of the three famous towers in the south of the Yangtze River (the Yueyang Tower in Hunan and the Tengwang Pavilion in Jiangxi). Climbing to the top of the tower, you can have a panoramic view of the three towns of Wuhan and the Yangtze River.

Today's Yellow Crane Tower was rebuilt based on the Qing Dynasty's prototype, combining the styles of the majestic north and elegant south towers.

During the Qingming Festival, we queued for half an hour to enter the building, and followed the crowd up and down the stairs for almost half an hour.

The bronze sculpture of the Yellow Crane's Return. I checked it out when I got back to Beijing. This bronze sculpture is located on the exposed shore stone in front of the front steps 50 meters west of the Yellow Crane Tower. It is composed of three auspicious animals: a turtle, a snake, and a crane. The turtle and the snake carry the two cranes upwards, and the Yellow Crane hat steps on the turtle and the snake and looks down at the world. The bronze sculpture is 5.1 meters high and weighs 3.8 tons. It is made of pure brass, which is the finishing touch~

I went to the Yellow Crane Tower once when I was very young, but I only have some memories of it. Now I went to learn some of its history. The photos I took are also very beautiful.
