Changsha Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt

When we walked out of the Orange Island Scenic Area, it seemed to be the evening rush hour. Thinking that there would be a lot of people taking the subway, it would be better to take a walk around the area first. I let my mind run wild and walked onto the [Orange Island Bridge] to overlook the night view of Xiangjiang Avenue.



The Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt is located on Xiangjiang Avenue in Changsha City, starting from the Xiangjiang River Heishipu Bridge in the south and ending at the northern end of Moon Island in the north. The scenic belt is dominated by leisure corridors and sculptures, with supporting facilities such as small squares, landscape sketches, lighting and lighting in various forms, such as the Sail Square, Seal Square, Peace Square, Four Sheep Square Zun, and Zhu Zhang Ferry. "River Sky Dusk Snow", one of the eight scenic spots in Xiangjiang, is also here, and new landscapes such as Du Fu Pavilion and pavilions have been newly built. A variety of green plants and large areas of grass are planted along the coast, and bars and other shops and service facilities such as drinking fountains are opened to meet the entertainment needs of tourists.



The surface of the Xiangjiang River reflects the mottled lights on the opposite bank. Driven by the wind, ripples like fish scales appear. As the river flows slowly and quietly, the Xiangjiang River at night seems more colorful than during the day. The "light show" of the riverside buildings is like a huge "display screen", constantly changing the picture, making the beautiful Changsha colorful; on the Orange Island Bridge, people come and go, and many people stop to watch, all because of the beautiful night view.

It is impossible not to go to Xiangjiang River when you come to Changsha. You must come. I was not disappointed when I came. It is actually a scenic corridor along the river.

The Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt stretches from the planned Changsha Xiangjiang Heishipu Bridge in the south to the northern end of Yueliang Island in the north, and is about 26 kilometers long. It is the mother river of Changsha. It surges from the south and gurgles to the north. The red cliffs on both sides of the Xiangjiang River are like clouds, the white sand is like snow, the weeping willows are like silk, and the masts and sails are like clouds, forming the beautiful Changsha Riverside Scenic Belt.

The Xiangjiang Scenic Belt consists of more than ten leisure and fitness plazas, green belts and historical and cultural landscapes.

It was pretty nice, but it was too hot, so I took two pictures and then hid in the mall.

The day we went to Xiangjiang River during the day, it happened to be a cloudy and rainy day. The river surface was a little dark, the autumn wind was strong, and the road was slippery, which was not satisfactory.

The main scenery is the leisure corridor and sculptures, like the Hankou River Beach, you can go there to relax.

I don't know what it looks like now, but it should be pretty good.

Going westward, we finally saw the Xiangjiang River, the mother river that nurtured the people of Changsha. Along the river, there were dense ancient camphor trees, which were at least several decades old. April is the season for camphor trees to bloom, with small white flowers blooming one after another. Walking under the trees, you can still vaguely smell the faint fragrance of flowers.

The Xiangjiang River in Changsha city is very beautiful, with Orange Island, Du Fu River Pavilion, and high-rise buildings in the city echoing each other. The Xiangjiang River is well protected and the water is relatively clear.

If you ask me where is the best place for jogging and walking in Changsha, it must be the Xiangjiang River Scenic Area, which is beautiful and full of positive and peaceful scenes. It is very suitable for both leisure and exercise. Occasionally, you can see a high-end river view coffee shop with a great view. I think the price is quite attractive. But personally, I feel that the more beautiful place along the Xiangjiang River is on the north side. I remember that after crossing the Fuyuan Road Bridge, the scenery here is surprisingly pleasant.

Go to Xiangjiang River and tour the Xiangjiang River Scenic Belt. Confucius said: "The wise man loves water, the benevolent man loves mountains." I always call myself a person who loves water. After I became addicted to self-guided tours, I have seen the Pearl River in Guangzhou, the Huangpu River in Shanghai, the Tuojiang River in Xiangxi, the Two Rivers and Four Lakes in Guilin, the Qinhuai River in Nanjing, the Haihe River in Tianjin, the Ancient Grand Canal in Wuxi, etc. Different rivers have different aesthetics. Since I came to Changsha, I must see the Xiangjiang River. Heading north along the Xiangjiang Scenic Belt, you can see Orange Island in the distance, pass Peace Square, Wenjin Square, Bixiangmen Square, and Tang-style Corridor, and an hour later you will arrive at Du Fu River Pavilion. The pavilion is an imitation of Tang architecture, with four floors and a height of 18 meters. It was completed and opened in September 2005 to commemorate Du Zimei who lived in Changsha in his later years. Du Fu was a man of great talent, who was concerned about his country and his people, but he was frustrated and had a life of wandering. He died at the age of 59 (770) on a boat from Tanzhou (now Changsha) to Yueyang. More than a thousand years later, such a magnificent pavilion was built for him. If he knew about this in his afterlife, he would compose a poem in praise of him, saying "Socialism is still the best!"

Take a stroll along the river at night to experience the riverside culture of Changsha. There are dancing groups at intervals. The broadness of the Yangtze River seems very peaceful in Changsha. Standing by the river at night and looking at the outline of Yuelu Mountain opposite is very quiet.

I walked along the river from Hisense Plaza to Du Fu River Pavilion. On the way, I saw many grandparents, uncles and aunts who were enjoying the cool breeze by the river after evening exercise. I sat by the Du Fu River Pavilion for a long time, enjoying the river breeze, and then walked back.

That is, the leisure corridor built along Xiangjiang Middle Road and the riverside, running north-south and overlooking Orange Island to the west. The corridor is equipped with small squares, landscape sketches, and sculptures of various forms, and a combination of various trees and shrubs. It is a good place for tourists to take a short break, and it is also a good place for citizens to do morning exercises and evening tours. Although it is noon and the sun is shining brightly, the trees are lush and leafy. Middle-aged and elderly citizens who do not have a lunch break gather in groups of three or five under the shade, singing karaoke, dancing, playing cards, chess, making tea, chatting, fishing, and being in a daze, which is peaceful and comfortable.

After walking along the Xiangjiang River for two or three hours, the river water was relatively clean, and there were quiet and lively places. But I still think the Pearl River in Guangzhou is more beautiful!

The Xiangjiang Scenic Belt is a well-known tourist attraction in Changsha and is well worth a visit, especially the beautiful night view.

You can take a long walk on the riverbank on the west bank of the river. It is a good place to meet someone.

Haha, I really think this is a magical place. There are people playing cards, gambling, playing chess, playing balloons, releasing sky lanterns, singing in open-air KTV... There are so many people. It has the flavor of Changsha.
