The scenic area has historical and cultural exhibition halls, Xiaoxiang celebrity clubs, citrus culture gardens and other landscapes, integrating viewing, leisure and entertainment.
During certain time periods, the Orange Island fireworks are a visual feast that cannot be missed.

After exiting the subway, there is a bus station and a small train station. For a tour around the island, you can choose a small train. The ticket price is 20 yuan. You can get off at the designated station, saving the labor of walking. I habitually found a map and quickly took a picture with my mobile phone. So that I can use it later when I need it. It feels a bit like Gulangyu Island. There are many foreign buildings and foreign cultural relics on the island.
Orange Island is very large, so I recommend you take the sightseeing train. The round trip is 20 yuan per person, and there are 5 stops along the way where you can get on and off once.
Of course, if you are in good physical condition, feel free to do so.
There are indeed many orange trees planted on Orange Island. At the end of October, the oranges are ripe and bright orange.
There is a sign in the orange orchard that says "Pesticides have been applied", but I still saw tourists running into the orange orchard to pick oranges. Actually, think about it, the oranges are ripe, so it is impossible to apply pesticides now.
Orange Island is located in the middle of the Xiangjiang River flowing through Changsha City. It is one of the many alluvial sandbars in the lower reaches of the Xiangjiang River. Orange Island faces Yuelu Mountain to the west and Changsha City to the east. It is surrounded by water on all sides and is 5 kilometers long. The narrowest part is about 40 meters and the widest part is only more than 300 meters.
The Orange Island scenic area is free to visit, but reservations must be made in advance through the WeChat official account. If you don't want to walk, you can take a sightseeing train, which costs 40 yuan per person to travel around the entire island; the cruise terminal special line and the beach park special line are both 20 yuan per person. I did not choose to take a car, but walked to the southern end of Orange Island, walking a total of 8 kilometers round trip.
The Orange Island Scenic Area is actually a large park with rich vegetation and large green areas. From 1913 to 1923, young Mao Zedong studied and worked in Changsha. He crossed the Xiangjiang River many times with his close friends Cai Hesen, Luo Xuezan, Zhang Kundi and others, swam to the head of Orange Island, sat under the ancient trees and "pointed out the mountains and rivers, wrote inspiring words", and explored the truth of saving the country and the people. In 1925, the 32-year-old Comrade Mao Zedong returned from Guangzhou to Hunan to lead the peasant movement. In the cold autumn season, he revisited Orange Island and wrote "Qinyuanchun Changsha". Since then, Orange Island has become famous.
With the approval of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, the largest memorial statue of a great man in China today, the Young Mao Zedong Art Sculpture, was built in the Orange Island Scenic Area in 2009. The sculpture is 32 meters high, 83 meters long and 41 meters wide, which respectively represent that Chairman Mao was 32 years old when he wrote Qinyuanchun·Changsha, lived for 83 years and lasted 41 years from the Zunyi Conference to his death. The base of the statue is 3,500 square meters, made of more than 8,000 pieces of Yongding red granite from the mountains of Fujian, with a total weight of about 2,000 tons. The statue is based on the image of Mao Zedong in his youth in 1925, reproducing his full of passion to command the country at that time. It is one of the most representative landmark buildings in Changsha.
Orange Island is located in the Xiangjiang River in Yuelu District, Changsha City. It has a flat terrain and is 6 kilometers long from north to south. The Orange Island Bridge spans across it.
Tickets are free and open from 7:00 to 22:00. Exit 2 of Orange Island Station on Metro Line 2. Make reservations in advance through the Yuelu Mountain Orange Tourism Area WeChat account.
Not far from the subway station is the sightseeing bus stop to the south of Orange Island. The one-way ticket is 25 yuan per person. You can buy the sightseeing bus ticket in advance on the Longxiang Orange Island applet. The sightseeing bus has 5 stops, and you can get on and off once at each stop. The business hours are 7:00-22:00. It is recommended to take the sightseeing bus. If you walk, you have to walk 3.5 kilometers one way.
On a weekend, there were crowds of people as soon as you got out of the subway. It took half a day to queue up for the sightseeing bus to buy tickets. Orange Island is a long sandbar in the water. The sightseeing bus goes around and has many stops. It stops at every stop to the famous Mao Zedong statue at the tip of the sandbar. The second half of the bus defaults to you going directly to the last stop without stopping. It's really annoying. If you want to enjoy the second half of the bus carefully, you have to walk for a long time. The weather is hot, and mineral water is 6 yuan a bottle. I can't imagine that this is the practice of a famous scenic spot in a provincial capital city.
When the weather is fine and the air quality is good, it is worth visiting both sides, especially the east bank. The bridge building is beautiful against the backdrop of the clean Xiangjiang River. I only learned from the online taxi driver that Orange Island has a very short history of becoming a scenic spot. He said that it was a small fishing village island that was flooded every year. The government relocated it and turned it into a scenic spot. In addition, the Changsha dialect spoken by Changsha locals is not as easy to understand as those hosts.
The Orange Island Scenic Area is much larger than you might think. You can get to the scenic area by crossing the Orange Island Bridge from Taiping Old Street and going down the bridge in the middle of the bridge. Most of the highlights are on the south side. It takes at least half a day to walk around the south side. If the weather is fine, it is definitely a good place for leisure and vacation. If you don't want to walk, you can take the scenic train, which costs 20 yuan for a round trip. There are 3 or 4 stops along the way, which can save a lot of time. Currently, there is no ticket required for the Orange Island Scenic Area. No matter how far away, it is strongly recommended to go to the head of the island, the scenery is very good.
How can you not check in at Orange Island when you come to Changsha? After visiting the Mawangdui Han Tomb, we rode to Orange Island. Orange Island is the largest sandbar among the many alluvial sandbars in the lower reaches of the Xiangjiang River. It is also the largest inland island in the world and is known as "China's No. 1 Island".
There are a few toilets, but seeing the huge statue of the great man is worth the trip. I think this Orange Island is more suitable for citizens to do fitness exercises.
Orange Island is located in the middle of the Xiangjiang River in the urban area of Changsha. It is the largest famous island in the Xiangjiang River. It runs from south to north across the center of the river, overlooking Yuelu Mountain in the west and Changsha City in the east. It is surrounded by water on all sides and stretches for dozens of miles. It is about 40 meters wide at the narrowest point and about 140 meters wide at the widest point. It is shaped like a long island. It is one of the important scenic spots in Changsha, a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction, a national key scenic spot, and the core element of Changsha's "mountain, water, island, and city" tourism pattern.
A completely man-made attraction with chaotic management. No one reminded us when we got to the end of the train. The staff only opened the door and asked us to get off. We followed them and got on the return train. We were told that the five trips did not include the end. We spent 50 yuan to take the train. We were so angry that we decided to walk to Orange Island. We finally walked back and forth on foot. Everyone should learn from this.
We climbed Yuelu Mountain in the morning and visited Orange Island in the afternoon. My mother and I walked until our legs were numb, but it was worth it. Orange Island has a unique charm even in winter. Local friends said it would be more beautiful in spring when it is full of flowers. I will definitely go there again if I have the chance.
A must-do when visiting Changsha: take a photo with Chairman Mao, and remember to take the train
This attraction does not require tickets. There are a lot of people on weekends. You can spend half a day there. It is mainly a cultural landscape.
I don't know when there are fewer people, but I've never seen a time when there is no one.
The whole environment is very beautiful, but it is a bit hot and tiring to hike.
It is very convenient to take transportation to Orange Island. Orange Island is very large. It is best to take a battery car. It seems that each attraction is far away.
How to say it, it's hard to say, anyway, just give it a thumbs up
If the weather is not hot, it is still nice to stroll around Orange Island. It is best to go when the oranges are red, then it will be very beautiful.
The heavy snow closed the state, and we could only look at the old man from afar, which was also interesting.
There are a lot of people, the road is long, I took a small train to see a lot of green and pleasant environment
I didn’t expect there was a subway station on Orange Island, but walking across the Orange Island Bridge has a different flavor.
That's it, just walk for a really long time hahahaha
Not bad, not bad, cruise ship + sightseeing train, ticket price 80, very affordable! Worth going!
Very beautiful scenery, very spectacular statues, really feel good
It’s beautiful. It looks great at night... It’s also perfect for taking photos^_^
During the day, I went to Orange Island. This place is quite large. The scenic spot is free of charge, but there is a charge for buying a battery car. There are oranges and grapefruits in it, but you can't pick them.
Orange Island is located at the southern end of Orange Island, which is located in the middle of the Xiangjiang River opposite the Changsha city. It is one of the many alluvial sandbars in the lower reaches of the Xiangjiang River. It was formed in the second year of Yongxing of Emperor Hui of Jin (305 AD) and has a history of more than 1,700 years.
It is very suitable for visiting when the weather is good. It is located on an island on the Xiangjiang River and the scenery is great.
What a pity, the weather was not good, there was no sun at all, and the whole place was foggy.
A sandbar in the Xiangjiang River, famous for its Orange Island
Take Metro Line 2 from Changsha Railway Station, Meixihu West Direction, 6 stops, get off at "Juzizhou" Station. The subway crosses the Xiangjiang River, and when you walk out of the subway entrance, you will see "Juzizhou" in the Xiangjiang River. "Juzizhou" is like a small boat swimming in the Xiangjiang River, running from south to north, running through the center of the river, about 5 kilometers long, with the narrowest part being more than 40 meters and the widest part being more than 200 meters. To the west of "Juzizhou" is the Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area, and to the east is Changsha City. The long sandbar is covered with orange trees, shaded by greenery, and dotted with historical sites and scenic spots. "The Former Site of Mobil Foreign Company", the vertebral stone tablet of the "Xiangjiang Declaration", "Wentiantai", "Wangjiang Pavilion", "Gongji Tower" and "Beach Park" are really good places for entertainment and leisure. There are also walking paths and sightseeing buses around the island (the ticket price is 20 yuan, and you can get on and off the bus 5 times), and it has now become a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction.
A must-visit attraction in Changsha, Hunan, with beautiful scenery. I took a taxi there.
It's quite big, and I don't think it has any special features. I just walked around it like a park. It's still okay to walk around.
An impact sandbar in the Xiangjiang River, surrounded by water and stretching for dozens of miles
The iconic scenic spot in Changsha, with a subway station on the island, is a must-visit place in Changsha
We took a sightseeing train around Orange Island. There were really a lot of oranges there, but unfortunately there were signs saying that picking was prohibited. There was a stall nearby selling oranges. A bag of oranges cost 15 yuan and contained about 10 oranges.
The service was very good when taking the sightseeing bus. The red tourist attractions are a must-visit, with many kumquat trees, orange trees and pomelo trees.
It takes 30 minutes to walk in, or you can take a car in. You can also walk along the river and see beautiful scenery.
I went there for the poem "Qinyuanchun Changsha". It is in the city, the transportation is very convenient, you can go and experience it.
Nothing to do
The garden is very big
Lots of orange and grapefruit trees
For something I've never seen before
Look, it's still good
It’s so hot, so hot, so hot, so hot, so hot, I must go there in the fall.
I went there in early June, but unfortunately the scenic spot was under maintenance at that time, so I didn't get to see its true appearance.
When I went to Changsha in 2016, I went to Orange Island. The scenery there was nice and the greenery was very good, but part of Orange Island was flooded at that time.
Remember, it is recommended to walk in, because there will be a lot of sweet-scented osmanthus in autumn, and they are very fragrant. You must take a car when you come out, otherwise your legs will break!
Because Orange Island is very long and narrow, you can choose to take a small train and get off at the nearest station when you see a place you like.
It is recommended to go earlier in the afternoon, not only can you see the sunset over the Xiangjiang River, but you also have more time to watch it leisurely.
I heard that the fireworks show was held every Saturday, but it has been changed, so you can check the show time in advance and go and see it!
(We didn’t go there on a holiday so we didn’t catch the fireworks display.)
I suggest taking the train, although you only get on and off once, because you also want to take a walk along the Xiangjiang River.
The train has ❗️ business hours, remember to find out in advance
After the rain, the wind was lazily blowing and the flowers and plants were swaying. Orange Island is a big park where you can walk, chat, daydream, and enjoy the beautiful scenery...
A big park, you can walk around if you have enough time
Changsha's iconic landmark. I recommend you take a sightseeing bus. It's really far to walk there. The iconic part is this sculpture. In my opinion, it's optional.
The park itself is free, but it takes at least 2 hours to walk around. You can choose to walk a short distance or take a scenic train for sightseeing.
Of course, the most anticipated thing here is the fireworks show every Saturday night. The best viewing location is not on the island, but along Xiangjiang Middle Road and Xiaoxiang Middle Road on the opposite bank. If you are lucky enough to visit Changsha at this time, then you must not miss this visual feast.
Friendly reminder:
1. If you want to visit Orange Island, you can take Changsha Metro Line 2 and get off at Orange Island Station. It is recommended not to come on a hot day, as it is too sunny and there is no shade along the way;
2. If you want to enjoy the fireworks at Orange Island, you can take Changsha Metro Line 2 to Xiangjiang Middle Road Station, and walk south to the Du Fu Jiangge area for the best viewing location.
3. There is only one gate in the Orange Island Scenic Area. No matter where you go in the scenic area, you must return to this gate when you leave the scenic area.
Orange Island is an island in the middle of the Xiangjiang River. It is connected to the city by a bridge and a subway. Now the entire island is a park. There are many historical relics on the island and the scenery is very beautiful. It is very suitable for strolling, leisure and taking pictures. You must go and see it when you come to Changsha.
Orange Island is located between the famous mountains and the city, floating on the waves, and is known as "China's No. 1 Island". When I entered, I didn't buy a ticket for the train, so I had to walk a lot. When I came out, I bought a ticket and found that the ticket was for round trip, and I could get on and off as I pleased, which was very convenient.
Orange Island is a long rectangle. It is very pleasant to sit on a small train and look at the orange trees in the garden. On the other side is the Xiangjiang River with morning mist.
The Orange Island Scenic Area is located in the middle of the Xiangjiang River opposite the urban area of Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is the largest famous island in the Xiangjiang River. It runs from south to north across the middle of the river, overlooking Yuelu Mountain to the west and Changsha City to the east. It is shaped like a long island and is a national key scenic spot.
Orange Island is pretty good. It is a new landmark in Changsha. There are so many people. The key is that I didn’t know that the sightseeing bus could stop halfway, so I chose to walk, which was really tiring.
At the end of Orange Island, you can see the mountains covered in red, the forests dyed in all colors, the river clear and turquoise, and hundreds of boats competing for the current. You will realize that the photos are not enough when you need them.
The Xiang River runs through the city, and Juzizhou is a small island on the river. This section of the road is not far, but it takes more than half an hour to walk. The key is that after crossing the bridge on the Xiang River, you have to go around a big bend to get to Juzizhou. It looks very close, but it is difficult to walk. It seems that there are buses to Juzizhou, and then the subway is very convenient. There is a stop that goes directly to Juzizhou, and the scenic spot is right outside the station.
It seems that Changsha has been holding fireworks shows on major holidays since the past two years, including weekends. The fireworks are set off at Orange Island Park, where tourists can watch from both sides of the river. Therefore, the Orange Island scenic area was closed for sightseeing at around 5 pm that day. Although we arrived at the scenic area, it was not long before they stopped sightseeing and asked us to clear the area.
Orange Island is quite big. You can spend 20 or 30 yuan to buy a sightseeing bus ticket. There are five stops. You can get off the bus to visit and then take the sightseeing bus. It is a total of one circle. Because we were too late, we had to give up that day and decided to come again the next day. After all, Orange Island is also well-known to everyone. Qinyuanchun Changsha, everyone can recite a few lines, but most of them have been forgotten.
We took a tour bus and visited about five scenic spots. We were a little late and it was dark by the end of the tour. It is better to reserve two to three hours for Orange Island. Because it was too dark, we did not get off the bus at several places. It was not very fun, but there was a lot of green, a bit like a street park.
There are oranges and grapefruits here, they are so big! They are all marked with pesticides just sprayed, don't pick them! Facing the wide river, there is indeed a heroic spirit of pointing out the mountains and rivers! The places that great people like are different!
Take a small train and check in here
It's very fast to walk directly from the bridge. But you are not allowed to ride a bike inside the Orange Island Scenic Area. I highly recommend you take the Orange Island train, otherwise you will cry from the heat. The train will stop at every scenic spot.
After eating and drinking at Wenheyou, it's only a few steps to the riverside. Take a leisurely walk, look out over Orange Island, let the breeze caress your face, and watch the golden sunset spread out in circles, ending the day's journey in a pleasant way.
It was Sunday that day, and most of the people were from other places. Plus, the weather was very hot, so there weren't many people. After waiting in line for a while, I was able to get on the train.
The scenery by the river is very beautiful, and it makes me feel much cooler. It is very user-friendly, and the riverside is suitable for people to walk. There is also a running track. It would be great if I could live nearby. It would be a pleasure to run like this every day.
Sanxing, an open park with good greenery, is not easy to find a place for leisurely stroll in the city center. The black asphalt road and the shade of the trees bring a little coolness to Changsha's subtly hot and humid weather. The disadvantage is that although there are many bicycles near the park, they are not allowed on the island. If you don't want to spend money on a tour bus, it's still very tiring to walk down.
Not bad, but you can't ride a bicycle
There are also fireworks displays on major holidays
Standing at the Orange Island, you can see the mountains and forests all covered in red.
Suitable for walking and running. If you don't have time, you will feel that it is just a check-in point.
I got up early in the morning and ran to the store, but it was under repair. Could you please post the status of the repair online?
I have heard about Orange Island in my childhood textbooks, but I have never had the chance to come here. When I got here and saw the sign, I realized that it was a river island. The greenery and public facilities of the whole park are quite good. The air is much better than that in the city. Many young people run here. The journey is a little long. If you walk, it will take at least 30 minutes to go back and forth. Shared bicycles are not allowed to enter. The sightseeing car feels a bit uneconomical. Generally speaking, it is a famous scenic spot.
Today's itinerary is mainly for the fireworks at Orange Island
I heard that after the ban on fireworks, there are only nine fireworks shows a year at Orange Island.
So of course I chose to join in the fun.
There were so many people watching the fireworks that the whole street was closed off.
The most terrifying thing is that the fireworks display time and the midnight snack call time are perfectly synchronized.
I have to say that the fireworks were beautiful, but the experience was really reduced because there were too many people watching. I even felt that walking out of the crowd and watching from a distance had a different kind of charm?
Later, I went to Orange Island for a stroll because it was National Day.
You can only take the subway to get there, and you can't ride a bike on Orange Island.
So we had to take the sightseeing bus to see the lights along the way. It can be said that this trip was really popular and profitable.
I took the bus to Orange Island Bridge and walked from the bridge to Orange Island. The wind on the bridge was really strong and it blew me in a disastrous way.
Although I knew that Uncle Mao was being cleaned up, I still had to go and see him. I took the train back and forth.
It was a special experience to go to Orange Island in the rain. But I didn't buy any oranges from Orange Island, hahaha.
The sightseeing bus in the scenic area is a round-trip ticket. It is recommended to buy a ticket and take the sightseeing bus as soon as you enter the park, because the distance from the entrance to Zhoutou is quite far.
There is no place worth strolling around in Changsha, except for the fireworks at Orange Island.
emmmmmmmmm……Who brought you to my side? It was the trickling water
A very long and narrow sandbar, in fact, is a large park, and the surrounding scenery is pretty good. Apart from anything else, the greening of Orange Island is really good. This is really a very suitable place for jogging, and it is also a real riverside trail. It is not cold in winter and cool in summer. This may be the best environment.
