Sky Garden

The Sky Garden is located on the middle terrace of the Laowuchang scenic area in Tianzi Mountain, Zhangjiajie, facing Yuanjiajie across the valley. The mountain behind lies high and flat at the waist, forming a small terrace. Not far away, it suddenly cuts down and becomes a steep cliff and a dangerous valley, which is bottomless and hangs the terrace in the air.
This is a place forgotten by the world. Everyone goes to see the grandeur and strangeness of Zhangjiajie Mountains, the exquisiteness and transparency of Zhangjiajie Water, and the beautiful and fascinating stories of Zhangjiajie, but forgets this small piece of countryside.
This is a place that many tour guides will not take you to, but it is considered by many travellers to be a rare "sky pastoral" on earth. The air in the pastoral is fresh, the sky in the pastoral is blue, the scenery in the pastoral is unique, and the pastoral will make you linger and return.

Pastoral in the Sky: Pastoral in the Sky is located next to the Tujia village of Laowuchang, Tianzi Mountain, with an altitude of more than 1,000 meters. Below it is the deep and secluded Pastoral Valley in the Sky. There are cliffs hundreds of meters high in the valley, and on the top of the cliff is a 3-hectare sloping terraced farmland. The pastoral is surrounded by green mountains, towering trees, and white clouds, just like a magnificent landscape painting. Climb up to the "Pastoral in the Sky". The breeze blows your sleeves, and the clouds wrap you up, as if you are in a fairyland, making you feel like you are in the green peaks, kingfishers are singing, springs are flowing in the mountains, and you are in the countryside, as if you are in the colorful clouds.

Located in the Old House Scenery Area, this place is not accessible by the scenic area shuttle bus, and you need to charter a car to get in. It is said that this attraction was built by a local old farmer over decades, and now it has become a wonder. The old farmer also spent his own money to build a small viewing platform on it. The angle of the photo here is good, and the charge is only 2 yuan if there is no one, which is very conscientious. It is said that the scenic area now intends to buy this attraction from the old farmer. I hope the relevant authorities can handle it well and don't force it into a sale later.

PS: It is said that the gathering of divine soldiers is a scenic spot further down here. It is super awesome and there are not many people. You must go!

Located next to the Tujia village 2,000 meters to the left of Tianzishan Reservoir, it is usually included in the Laowuchang tour line. It is more than 1,000 meters above sea level. Below it is a deep valley with 3 hectares of sloping terraced farmland. The countryside is full of green mountains, towering trees, and surrounded by white clouds, just like a vigorous landscape painting. The Yunshang Countryside has an excellent geographical location. It is located at the countryside viewing platform at an altitude of more than 600 meters. It is the best viewing point for Zhangjiajie terraces. The spectacular sea of clouds and the long terraces here are the top ten terraced landscapes of "China's Most Beautiful Countryside". When the changing sea of clouds appeared, I stood on the terrace, as if I was in the clouds, and was impressed by the uncanny workmanship of nature. When the sun gradually rose, the water vapor slowly faded, and the clouds gradually dispersed, I gradually saw the full picture of the terraces. The layers of terraces and the elegant bamboo forests and distant mountains in front of me became clearer and clearer, as beautiful as an ink painting. The clouds are rising, as if there is a huge hot spring pool with steam coming out from below. When the wind blows, the bells hanging on the trees will make a tinkling sound, like heavenly music. There are 25 guest rooms in Yunshang Tianyuan, including Reading Rain, Returning to the Garden, Qingya, Shanlin Pavilion, Listening to the Wind, Xiuzhu, and Yishan. Each room faces a different landscape, and you can see the beautiful scenery lying on the bed without leaving the room. Breathing the moist air, negative oxygen ions gather from all directions, just like a deep hydration SPA for the skin, clear and comfortable.

The Sky Pastoral is located next to the Tujia Village 2,000 meters to the left of Tianzi Mountain Reservoir. It is usually included in the Laowuchang tourist line, with an altitude of more than 1,000 meters. Below it is a deep valley with 3 hectares of sloping trapezoidal fertile fields on the valley. The pastoral area is surrounded by green mountains, towering trees, and white clouds, just like a vigorous landscape painting. Surrounded by mountains, there is actually a piece of pastoral land like a paradise, which is extremely unique against the backdrop of mountains. This has never been seen in other scenic spots in Zhangjiajie or even similar scenic spots in China. Climbing up the "Sky Pastoral", the breeze blows your sleeves, and the clouds and mist are entangled, as if you are in a fairyland, which makes people feel that "the green peaks are singing, the high mountains are ringing, and you are in the pastoral land, as if you are in the colorful clouds."

It is the best place to see the Bailong Elevator. The battery car to the Sky Garden needs to be charged, 50 yuan for a round-trip ticket. There are not many tourists going to the Sky Garden. It is currently a relatively unpopular attraction, but it is worth a visit. The scenery is really beautiful. The locals have opened up farmland on the top of the mountain to plant crops. In addition, a field is divided into different planting blocks to plant different crops, so the colors are different, resulting in a very beautiful oil painting. This is the result of the hard work of the locals who adapt to local conditions. Now it has become a good viewing point.

Located in Laowuchang, Tianzi Mountain, Wulingyuan District, it is named after the beautiful rice fields on the cliffs of several peaks. It is an excellent place to enjoy the natural wonders of "Zhangjiajie Landform", 🎯 pastoral scenery and ⚒ the wonders of the Bailong Sky Ladder engineering

It is known as the Pastoral in the Sky and the Pastoral in the Clouds. The old people would never have thought that a small piece of farmland reclaimed in 1983 just to have enough food would become a beautiful sight that everyone is paying attention to thirty years later. The Pastoral in the Sky is actually just an ordinary piece of land, but in the canyon lined with stalagmites, this small piece of land is eye-catching. After returning home, we may only know that there are many stalagmites in Zhangjiajie, but we can't remember what the Gathering of the Divine Soldiers looks like. The Pastoral in the Sky remains in our memory. We have to admire the management company for naming this scene the Pastoral in the Sky instead of the Gathering of the Divine Soldiers. What's more, the Pastoral in the Sky only appeared in the 1980s. Who would go to such a harsh environment to open up wasteland and grow crops for a living now? This is a beautiful scenery that can only be produced in the four-dimensional space of time, place, people and history. It is a unique and irreplaceable scenery among the many scenic spots in Zhangjiajie.

The scenery is beautiful. It is privately planted. You have to pay 2 yuan to take photos on the viewing platform.

By Feng Jiangyue |

From a distance, Zhangjiajie Skyland is floating in front of the Bailong Elevator, but you can't go down and can only watch from afar.

By Big Bad Wolf |

There are actually two terraces in the middle of the Zhangjiajie Tianzi Mountain Laowuchang small scenic area that can be called sky gardens. The one before this one is not far away and is larger than this one.

By Lonely Watch |

Very beautiful, you must go!!! Laowuchang is the most essential scenic spot in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Now there are scenic battery cars to go there, but it costs 53 yuan per person for a round trip. For a detailed guide, please refer to my travel notes: Revisiting Zhangjiajie for the Third Time - The Most Complete Guide without Dead Ends (Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Huanglong Cave, Tianmen Mountain) http://www.mafengwo.cn/i/10787406.html

You need to take a small eco-friendly car at your own expense to get there, but it is indeed a very unique place and is totally worth a visit. There is also a gathering of divine soldiers next to it, which is very spectacular.

You can watch the Bailong Elevator going up and down from a distance, and it is one of the shooting spots for the Forest Park’s promotional photos.

The Sky Garden is right next to the Shenbing Gathering. We chartered a car from Tianzishan Village and drove downhill to the road near the scenic spot. The road is high and you can overlook the Sky Garden. The popular photos of the Sky Garden on the Internet were taken on the roadside. However, you can't see the Shenbing Gathering on the roadside because it is blocked by pine trees. You need to walk down the steps and go to the observation deck to see the Shenbing Gathering. When I came to Zhangjiajie for the third time in the spring of 2019, I found that there were regular battery cars at Sanchakou that could go to the Sky Garden and the Shenbing Gathering, but they had to be during working hours. Before and after work, you can only charter a car.

By Raspberry |

Generally speaking, tour groups don't have itineraries to visit the Sky Garden, and there aren't many individual tourists, because there's nothing special about the scenery, just a heart-shaped garden on the top of the mountain. But the journey is really too far!!! The driver usually stops at the fork in the road. From there to the Sky Garden, it's about 4 kilometers of mountain road. Although the road is well-maintained, it's very tiring to go up and down! So, someone in the forest park started to do the business of picking up and dropping off with a battery car, 100 per person for a round trip, and then they kept threatening you, saying that this price is actually very cheap, and it takes several hours to walk such a long distance... We thought it was not worth it, so we walked on foot. About halfway through, we negotiated with them and gave them some money to take us there. In addition to the Sky Garden, we can also see the Bailong Ladder... We also walked back on our own... It was really too tiring. If you are not very interested in this place, you really don't need to go there!!!

Sky Garden

The Sky Garden is located next to the Tujia Village, two kilometers away from the right side of Tianzi Villa via Laohukou and Qingren Road, with an altitude of more than 1,000 meters.

There are cliffs hundreds of meters high in the valley, and on the top of the cliffs is a 3-hectare sloping terraced farmland.

The countryside is surrounded by green mountains, towering trees and lingering white clouds, like a magnificent landscape painting.

The scenery is beautiful, and the most important thing is that this is a self-funded place!

By Small floral skirt |

I heard that this is an aerial garden built by an old man himself, which was not easy. It is still under expansion. Visitors need to pay 2 yuan to enter, which is not expensive anyway. Basically, everyone will come here to take a look after watching the sunrise. The air in the early morning is especially fresh.

By Although Daji is beautiful, she is still a demon |

On the way to Laowuchang, you can see the natural

Walk to the end of the road and go downhill on the dirt road. Pass the homestay and you can see a sign. It turns out that it is man-made and developed and maintained by Peng Qiyun. The field that was originally charged for was covered by a photo. However, the viewing platform near the scenic spot is fenced off and you can still see it if you take photos for a fee.

The Sky Farm is right next to the Tujia village in Laowuchang. Below it is a deep valley with cliffs hundreds of meters high. On top of the cliffs is a 3-hectare sloping terraced field.

At about five in the morning, I arranged a car to go to the Sky Garden to watch the sunrise.

On the way, we encountered clouds and fog in the valley

The distant mountains are like dark blue

Very happy

Another good weather

Sky Garden

It really feels like being out of this world.

The sunrise gradually lights up the clouds and mountains

The whole process is so beautiful

There is a real meaning in this, I want to praise it but I have forgotten the words

The Sky Farm is a farmer's own idea. It's good and worth a visit.

By White Tiger Snow Fury |

Unbeatable! The most beautiful place in Zhangjiajie Scenic Area, bar none. What's more terrifying is that there are no tourists, the place is completely reserved, the feeling is so beautiful!

Take the scenic area bus to Sanchakou, get off, and walk along the flat road. The round trip is about 10 kilometers and takes about 2 hours.

The scenery along the way is extremely spectacular, and the end point, which is the sky garden, is like the Garden of Eden on earth.

It was foggy that day, and the owner of the observation deck said that the weather was about 90 points that day. The observation deck was built by a local farmer at his own expense of 130,000 yuan. It only costs 2 yuan to enter the observation deck. A ladder was also set up so that you can climb up and take pictures: For those who like taking pictures, angle is everything!

It is spring in the countryside, and the rape flowers are in full bloom, which is extremely beautiful~

After visiting the aerial garden from a high altitude, don’t rush back. Follow the muddy path next to it. This is the most surprising place in Zhangjiajie: you can see the "floating mountain" from the other side except Yuanjiajie! And it is very close to you, you feel like you can touch it with your hand. There are also giant stone pillars next to it that are far more spectacular than Tianzi Mountain: all of this belongs to me alone, I can enjoy and take pictures to my heart's content, it feels so wonderful!

After turning back, you can enter the aerial garden from a small path, where you can see the magnificent scenery and exquisite rapeseed flowers all around!

It is said that such a top-notch place is going to be acquired, and crowds of people are inevitable at that time. Therefore, make the most of the last good time!

By Walking in the valley |

I came here specially because I was going to Laowuchang to watch the sunrise, which is not far away. The scenery is very special.

When I went there, I was able to walk around the farmland. The last picture is a close-up of the water in the farmland.

By Moooqi_n |

It is a very beautiful and undeveloped scenic spot. You need to charter a car to go there. There are few people, but I think it is the best place on the mountain. The sky garden gives people a feeling of paradise.

By Green pepper corn |

This field belongs to an old man named Peng Qiyun, who is still cultivating it. The old man built a viewing platform and charges 2 yuan for taking photos. It is not expensive, and the labor and the beautiful scenery are worth the reward.

The Sky Farm is located in Laowuchangyang, at the top of a secluded valley. On a vacant platform with three sides facing the abyss and supported by the sky, there are dozens of acres of terraced fertile fields, which can guarantee a harvest in drought or flood. A viewing fee of 2 yuan is required to visit the Sky Farm.

This is a place forgotten by the world. Everyone goes to see the magnificent and strange mountains of Zhangjiajie, the exquisite and transparent water of Zhangjiajie, and the beautiful stories of Zhangjiajie, but forgets this small pastoral. This is a place that many tour guides will not take you to, but it is considered by countless travel friends to be a rare "pastoral in the sky". The Sky Pastoral is like an emerald embedded in the top of the mountain, and below it is a deep valley. The owner of the observation deck and Sky Pastoral was sitting on the side of the road. We gave him 10 yuan and let the five of us pass. Standing on the observation deck, lighting a cigarette, the morning breeze blew, refreshing, and I immediately felt "green peaks, high mountains and flowing springs, being in the countryside, like being in a fairyland". I stayed around the Sky Pastoral for more than an hour, and it was only here that I felt the beauty of Zhangjiajie Forest Park.

You can walk in and out of Laowuchang, and see the Sky Garden. At first, I felt that charging 2 yuan for the view was a bit like occupying the mountain, so I didn't see it. Later, I learned that it was built by the ticket collector himself (it was built to have food to eat, but I didn't expect it to become a publicity attraction later). The viewing platform was also built by himself, and we must support it. I heard that the government is planning to acquire it, I hope they don't suffer any loss. Now the mountain is being renovated, and the people's accommodation business has been stopped, and there are people supervising it every day. I hope our government will intervene less, and if it is safe, the benefits will be passed on to the people sooner. After all, the local people have finally caught this ride. The things in the convenience store in Laowuchang are still very cheap, and can be used as an energy replenishment point.

Located in the old house field in the scenic area, there is an inn inside, which is very suitable as a foothold for the first day of a two-day tour of the scenic area. The sky is very spectacular, and the old house field can overlook Tianmen Mountain.

There is such a farm located in the deep valley. It is the irrigation period in spring and the rapeseed in the pond is lush and green, which is a beautiful scene.

Laowuchang, located in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area of Zhangjiajie, is a scenic area that has not been developed by the government. To be precise, this "field" was reclaimed by individuals. The Sky Garden is located in the Laowuchang of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie. It is a scenic area that has not been developed by the government. To be precise, this "pastoral" was reclaimed by individuals. The entire field is located on the unique mountain in Zhangjiajie. It is surrounded by cliffs on three sides and is connected to the outside world by only a small path. The cultivators of the farmland built a viewing platform on the mountain, where you can watch the Sky Garden from the best angle. Although it costs 2 yuan, I think it is completely what the owner of the garden deserves. Since there is no bus to the scenic area, you need to charter a car to go to the Laowuchang and the Sky Garden. If you stay at the Laowuchang Inn, the owner will be responsible for free pick-up and drop-off

The sky garden is quite beautiful, and it feels like a wheat field on a suspended mountain.

By Nicole_ffyy |

The Laowuchang area is an undeveloped scenic spot and my favorite place in Wulingyuan. The Sky Garden reminds me of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. You need to charter a car to get here, but it is worth it. It is completely different from the Yuanjiajie area on the other side where tourists are flocking. It is a paradise for photography enthusiasts and artists.

By Walking in disappearance |

The Sky Garden is located in the Laowu Scenery Area. It is a landscape that was opened up by the local residents who still live in the scenic area with their own hands and spent many years. Looking down at the Sky Garden from a distance, it looks like a heart (although I don’t think it looks like one). You can see the Bailong Sky Ladder on the opposite mountain of the Sky Garden. The owner of the garden also built a viewing platform in the scenic area to enjoy the beautiful scenery in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area (but it is charged. It is said that this platform cost tens of thousands of yuan, and the appearance is only cement). However, I personally do not recommend going to this viewing platform to enjoy the scenery, because it is charged, and because there is a path on the left side of this viewing platform leading to a mountain with a lower altitude. Along this path, you can go to the other two free viewing platforms, which can be visited. The scenery is very good and the distance to the objects is still the closest.

I don’t know how to get to the Sky Garden, but I think it’s nice just looking at it from a distance.

By Old homeless |

I went there 4 years ago. It is a place that tour groups don't go to. You can walk from Dingxiangrong Village to Laowuchang Sky Garden. You can see the Bailong Sky Ladder clearly from the railing, and the colorful five-colored soil of the Sky Garden is visible up close. The clouds in the valley are surging like waterfalls, with overlapping peaks and uneven stone pillars. Some of them raise their heads to the sky as if shouting, and some bow their heads in silence as if praying. They are as quiet as virgins and motionless, like a team ready to go, ready to obey the call of heaven at any time. It is worth going, but the road is a bit far.

The next day, we got up early and chartered a car to the inn. Surprisingly, the other people were all girls. Unfortunately, there was too much fog that day and we didn't see the sunrise. The chartered driver took us to two other undeveloped attractions, the Sky Garden and the Gathering of Divine Soldiers. The Sky Garden was quite interesting. On the observation deck, I found that several tourists had entered the garden. I couldn't find the way to get there, but it didn't matter. This kind of scenery is best viewed from a distance. If you are there, it is no different from an ordinary field.

It took about ten minutes to drive to the Sky Garden. Walking down from the observation deck of a small shop, you will see the Sky Garden. There is a sign next to it and a farmer selling breakfast. As shown in the picture below, he is the owner of the garden. The sign above his head clearly states the price: 300 for TV and 20 for photos! Walking down the path, you will see some homestays. There is a fork in the road at the location shown in the picture below. You can see the gathering of the gods on both sides, just from different angles. We walked to the left for about ten minutes and saw a small shop. We passed the small shop and came to the observation deck. I feel that the gathering of the gods is different from what I saw on the Internet before. It feels weird.

The Sky Garden is a piece of land that local farmers have spent many years to open up in the mountains. You need to share a car to get there. In the local inn, there will be many carpools in the morning to watch the sunrise and then go to the Sky Garden and Dianjiangtai for fun. The scenery is worth seeing, but if you go to the farm to take pictures, the owner will ask for a fee. There was a man who went to take aerial photos and asked for a fee directly. If you didn't pay, he treated you maliciously. The owner kept saying that he had worked hard to open the fields, etc., which didn't feel good.

By Trivial |

The photos of the Sky Garden are very impressive. It is not in the regular scenic spots, so it is usually visited by tourists who go there on their own. But there are still many people. It is very beautiful. I was surprised.

By Chilled |

The most primitive scenery of Zhangjiajie Forest Park has not been developed. It is the pastoral land of the local mountain people on the top of the mountain. You need to charter a car to come here. You can visit it with the magic soldiers. If you walk, it is a long way. In spring, the flowers here are in full bloom and it is a sky garden. After that, the farmers grow crops here and it becomes a sky garden. Looking from a high place, the green and yellow of the top of the mountain are very beautiful.

On the high mountains, you can also see a field of fields, with fields connected to each other, bright as a mirror.

They say the small sky garden is like a steak

The large sky garden is much larger than the small garden, but the scenery is also much worse.

Super great scenery, but it is an unopened scenic area, there is no car to get there, you can only walk or charter a car

I admire the hard work of the working people who inadvertently created this beautiful scenery.

Sky Garden is the place to watch the sunrise. I can't contain my excitement. This is the most beautiful place in Zhangjiajie and the one I want to go to the most. I have heard about this place on the Internet before. It is definitely worth a visit~~~

There are quite a few people watching the sunrise. The air in the morning is so nice.

This is a field opened up by local farmers in the mountains. It took five years to build it into a heart shape. I didn’t expect it to become a beautiful scenery loved by hikers. It is indeed very beautiful when viewed from the scene.

The divine soldiers met next to the sky garden. The sun was rising, and the warm light shone on the clusters of upright mountain peaks, like a group of soldiers waiting for inspection.

The countryside is suspended in the air on three sides, with mountains and hills covered with green. If you catch the clouds and mist, it will look more like a magnificent landscape painting. If you climb up to the "sky countryside", you will feel like you are in a fairyland, with kingfishers singing on the green peaks, springs flowing in the mountains, and you will feel like you are in the countryside and among the colorful clouds.

The mysterious sky farmland, just look at it from above, there is no need to go down like I did. Once you go down, you will know: Isn’t this the paddy field in my home?

Because it is undeveloped, the road is bumpy and you have to hire a car to get there. It is best to go in the morning to see the sea of clouds.

The nearest inn is Ding Xiangrong. I got up at 5 am to go there. I had to hire a car, which cost 30 yuan per person. The road was long, uneven, and winding. I could see

Located in Laowuchang, it is an undeveloped scenic spot. The Sky Farm is cultivated land mined by local farmers on the top of the mountain. The scenery is so beautiful.

The Sky Garden connected to the Old House is a must-see place. When I went there, it was raining and I was worried that it would affect the view. I didn't expect it to be an unexpected gain. It was so beautiful! ! ! It is more suitable for rainy days

It was raining when I went there. I could only see a hazy beauty from afar. Different seasons present different things.

There wasn't really anything to see at the Sky Garden, just a puddle of water. And maybe it had rained recently, so the road was quite slippery. We went over to take a look out of curiosity, and our feet got covered in mud and our shoes got wet.

It's this pool of water. It looks much better from a distance than from close up~~~

The Sky Pastoral is really beautiful when viewed from above. When I took the photo, I even included the Hundred-Step Ladder to Heaven. The mountains and rivers are magnificent!

Miraculously, we really saw the farmland that we had "long heard of". It was said that a local dug and planted it himself over several years. It is also the only private farmland in Zhangjiajie. In the morning, accompanied by a thin mist, we appreciated the perfect combination of nature and man-made things.

It was so beautiful that everyone stopped to take pictures and group photos with their cameras. It was so magnificent that if there was enough time, I would really like to get closer to this piece of pure land in the sky.

Beautiful sky garden, a perfect match between man and nature

The mountains are hidden in the fog, looking misty and like a fairyland. The first thing you see is the sky garden, which is very strange.

The Sky Farm is a rice farm located on top of a cliff. We walked along the rice paddies, which were naturally hanging on the edge of the cliff.

It is said that it was dug out by someone manually. It can only be viewed from a distance. It is very cool.

The area was reclaimed by an old man himself and is surrounded by cliffs. The driver told me that it will be very beautiful when crops are planted there in the spring.

I personally feel that the Sky Garden is just average. As for the Gathering of Divine Soldiers, you can really see this scenery anywhere. There is no need to share a car because it is not developed. The mountain road is very rugged!!! It is really bumpy all the way. I really don't recommend going to Laowuchang
