Xiaodongjiang

The 12-kilometer-long Xiaodong River has clear water that meets the national first-class drinking water standards. The air is fresh and pleasant, and the rhythm of the water penetrates the time tunnel.
From April to October every year, when the sun rises or sets, you can always see the magical fog of Xiaodongjiang River from the gate of Dongjiang Lake Scenic Tourist Area to Dongjiang Dam.
The fog here is like a white jade belt dancing in the canyon, and rowing a boat in it seems like riding on the clouds. It can be called a wonder of China and the universe.

Chenzhou is known as the back garden of Hong Kong and Macao. We went on a three-day and two-night trip on a whim. I always wanted to go to the paradise on earth - the foggy Xiaodong River/the time corridor - the Bailang Lake Tour/the hometown of Shoufo - Shoufo Temple/Huilong Sea of Clouds - Huilong Mountain Scenic Area/Danxia landform - Gaoqiling/alpine grassland - Yangtian Lake/Gucun Banliang Ancient Village. The local Xiao Kuang took us to visit these beautiful scenery. I will share with you how to find him to see the pictures. We made an appointment with Xiao Kuang in advance before coming. We let Xiao Kuang arrange all the food, accommodation and transportation. This trip was very relaxing. We had the final say on our own time, unlike traveling with a group, where we were always in a hurry. My family was very happy.

The water in Dongjiang Lake is very clear and can be drunk directly, reaching the national first-class drinking water standard. We had a lot of fun on our three-day trip, but it was Xiao Huang who made a great contribution. Our trip was customized by Xiao Huang and we were very satisfied.

On the first day, we took the high-speed train from Guangzhou to Chenzhou. Xiao Huang picked us up at the high-speed train station in advance, and then we went to Yangtian Lake Prairie to ride horses. I had always dreamed of riding horses, and finally my dream came true.

The next morning, we got up at six o'clock, had breakfast, and arrived at Xiaodongjiang at six forty. We finally saw the fairyland on earth, the foggy Xiaodongjiang, from the plank road under the Xiaodongjiang No. 2 Bridge... It was very beautiful! After touring Xiaodongjiang, Xiao Huang took us to Dongjiang Lake Pier. We took a boat for about 25 minutes to reach Doushi Island. The most impressive thing was that the scenery on the boat was very beautiful! It was already noon when we came back from Doushi Island. After lunch, Xiao Huang took us to Huilong Mountain. Wow! The sea of clouds on Huilong Mountain was so beautiful. The temperature on Huilong Mountain was a little low, so everyone should remember to bring thick clothes...

On the third day, I got up at 5:30 in the morning to watch the sunrise. It was the first time to watch the sunrise, and there were many people, so it was very lively. After watching the sunrise and having breakfast, we came to the last attraction, Danxia landform... Gaoyiling! Although Gaoyiling is a bit steep in some places, it's okay if you pay attention. It's a very beautiful attraction worth visiting.

After visiting Gaoyiling and having dinner, we returned to the high-speed rail. The journey was successfully completed. Thank you again, Xiao Huang, for your hard work. We were very satisfied with every attraction.

The essence of Dongjiang Lake tourism is the fog-covered Xiaodongjiang River. From May to October every year, whenever the sun rises or sets, the entire Xiaodongjiang River is covered with clouds and mist, as if entering a fairyland. This magical and spectacular scene is the wonder of China - the fog-covered Xiaodongjiang River. The number is in the name. If you come here to travel, you can find me. I can help you with food, accommodation, transportation and tickets. Its formation principle is the same as that of Jilin rime, which is caused by the "temperature difference effect". Since the water of Xiaodongjiang River flows out from the bottom of the Dongjiang Dam, which is more than 100 meters deep, the water temperature is maintained at 8-10℃ all year round, while the temperature of the surface of Xiaodongjiang River is around 20℃. The river water is hot on the top and cold on the bottom in the morning, and cold on the bottom and hot on the bottom in the evening, forming a temperature difference, and then forming a layer of water mist. In addition, the vegetation on both sides is lush and there is sufficient moisture in the air. Therefore, from May to October every year, the river surface is often foggy, rising in the canyon, like a jade belt. Photography enthusiasts from all over the country come to Xiaodongjiang for photography creation. Their works reflecting the foggy Xiaodongjiang have won many domestic and foreign photography awards. Xiaodongjiang is also a national photography creation destination

This time we went to Dongjiang Lake for the Xiaodongjiang River in the circle of friends. The driver and guide [Awen ①⑦⑤⓪⑦③⑤⑥③⑥①] said that in addition to the unpredictable morning fog, the performance of the net caster is also a highlight of Xiaodongjiang. During the National Day holiday, there were so many tourists that we were stuck in traffic for more than an hour on the 2-kilometer road before we got to the ticket office of the scenic spot? We picked up the tickets we had booked online in advance, stayed overnight at a farmhouse next to Xiaodongjiang, got up in the dark the next day, and rushed to the plank road at six o'clock to grab a seat. In the misty fog, the net caster slowly rowed the wooden boat into the river to cast and collect the net, and the originally quiet river surface instantly became lively. The water surface will be shrouded in fine fog. Early fishermen will cast nets on the river to catch fish. The sun shines on the lake, and the morning fog fills the mountains. This is the foggy Xiaodongjiang River that attracts many photography enthusiasts and tourists... The red-clothed fishermen who have evolved into literary and artistic workers rowed their boats for everyone to pose for photos. While waiting for the sun to rise, they also made some extra money. The staff said that today's fog is only worth 70 points. It is thick and suitable for sightseeing but not for taking photos. However, we still took a lot of photos. As long as the position is good, it is not difficult to capture the photos... However, don't be afraid even if you can't get up. In this economic society, a red bill of 100 yuan can let the fisherman cast the net just for you and take photos...

We originally wanted to join a tour group for this trip, but the previous tour group experiences were not good, so we made an appointment on China-TravelNote in advance with the local free travel pick-up driver Awen 1-7-5-0-7-3-5-6-3-6-1 (same number for WeChat and phone number), and communicated the itinerary with the driver in advance. He was very enthusiastic. The originally agreed attractions were Yangtian Lake Grassland, Gaoyiling, and Xiaodongjiang. But we had a lot of time, so Awen took us to Xiaobu Ancient Village, Cultural and Art Village, Dongjiang Suspension Bridge, etc. for free. He accompanied us throughout the trip and helped us book tickets for the attractions, which were much cheaper than those booked by our tour group. Therefore, I am more determined not to join a tour group in the future. Guide Wen is very reliable and humorous. He told us a lot of interesting stories along the way. He is worthy of being an excellent guide with rave reviews online.

Xiaodong River is a scenic spot formed by the cascade development of the Dongjiang Dam (actually, it is a small river formed downstream of the dam after the artificial dam was built to intercept the Dongjiang River in order to build Dongjiang Lake). It is 12 kilometers long. The water quality of Xiaodong River is clear and bright. From April to October every year, when the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, it is like a jade belt floating in the canyon. The whole Xiaodong River is full of clouds and mist, and it is hazy and ethereal. Being in it, it feels like entering a fairyland. It is known as "a wonder of China and a wonder of the universe". In order to facilitate tourists to enjoy the beauty of Xiaodong River, a fog-watching plank road and a cycling greenway have been specially built. Visitors can walk or ride to experience the beautiful artistic conception of "people swimming in a painting". The most famous landscape of Xiaodong River is "fog in Xiaodong River". The principle of the formation of the fog over Xiaodong River is the same as that of the rime in Jilin, both of which are caused by the "temperature difference effect". Since the water of Xiaodong River flows out from the bottom of a dam more than 150 meters deep, the water temperature remains at around 8-10 degrees all year round. In the morning, it is hot on the top and cold on the bottom, and in the evening, it is cold on the bottom and hot on the bottom. The temperature difference forms water mist, creating this dreamlike wonder of the fog over Xiaodong River.

This summer, my mom and dad went to Zhangjiajie and found Xiaowen on the Internet. I was always worried because they usually travel with a tour group. It was their first time to travel by themselves. They were very nervous about Xiaowen, whom they had never met. I remember my mom even said to me, can what is said on the Internet be reliable? If not, we can find a hotel and stay there by ourselves. I said no! Oh, the Internet is not so unreliable now. Fortunately, everything was as good as expected, and we checked into the hotel smoothly. (I really felt like I was in remote control! I would be more upset if they didn’t have a good time.) And we had a lot of fun afterwards. I’m very grateful to him. If you need any help, you can consult Xiaowen. Their company is really doing very well in Chenzhou. They are engaged in industrial chain tourism, which is not only convenient for tourists, but also very cheap. The group members who travel with them all recognize them very much. The service is 100 points. After comparing various companies on the Internet and communicating with them in detail in advance, we decided to let them arrange the itinerary for us. Here, I would like to thank Xiaowen, the Chenzhou free travel route planner, for his enthusiastic answers, arrangements, and thoughtful service!

Last month, I went to Chenzhou, Hunan for 3 days. I had a lot of fun. On average, I spent more than 1,000 yuan per person. I found Awen (①/⑦/⑤/⓪/⑦/③/⑤/⑥/③/⑥/①微) through a friend's introduction. He arranged a 3-day itinerary for us according to where we wanted to go. Before arriving in Chenzhou, he helped us arrange accommodation, tickets, transportation, etc. He also picked us up at the high-speed rail station in person, saving us the time of queuing for tickets. After arriving in Chenzhou, we just had to enjoy the attractions! The Hunan food Awen took us to eat was very authentic, not only tasted good but also very cheap! ~~ I suggest you consult her before going! I personally think this 3-day trip is really good. It is very relaxing to play throughout the trip, and there is no compulsory consumption. The tour guide is very responsible. The most important thing is that they arrange C-line tickets for guests who book the trip in advance. C-line tickets are equivalent to VIP tickets. There is almost no need to queue up for the whole trip (this is very important). B-line tickets are mostly for tour groups. If there are many people, you can only queue up for two hours. Awen is not only serious and responsible, but also always patiently answers various questions I raise. As long as you travel to Chenzhou, no matter how many days you stay, she can arrange a suitable itinerary for you according to your time and attractions of interest. It will never be wrong to ask her for free consultation before traveling to Hunan.

I went to Dongjiang Lake in Chenzhou last month. Before I went, I read a lot of guides online, but I still felt unsure. Fortunately, my colleague recommended Xiaowen, a local travel itinerary planner in Chenzhou, to me. We told her our needs (preferences, accommodation requirements, attractions we wanted to visit, etc.), and then made a plan. This trip was very worry-free and pleasant. We stayed in Chenzhou for 4 days. The itinerary was arranged by him throughout the trip. The service was very considerate. The average cost per person was more than 1,000 yuan, which saved a lot of our budget. It is highly recommended. The cost includes accommodation, tour guides, tickets, transportation, etc., and airport pick-up is also arranged. It is very worry-free and cost-effective, saving a lot of trouble. After arriving in Chenzhou, just have fun visiting the attractions! I didn't regret it when I left. I enjoyed a dream trip. The key is that it is more affordable and worry-free than playing by myself. You can consult him to see how she can help you design the route, and then go to play according to your needs! You don't have to go around looking for guides anymore! Leave professional matters to professionals.

Buddhist travel is probably like this. Even though the trip to Xiaodongjiang River was for the designated action of casting nets, we didn’t get to take pictures of it and we were happy and had no regrets at all. Emmm… Maybe it’s because we originally decided to come in November, and the lack of fog would make the place less charming. But it doesn’t matter, if we can’t take pictures, then we can’t take pictures. It’s quite pleasant to walk along Dongjiang Lake, feel the breeze, and eat sweet ice oranges.

Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area is famous for the fog-covered Xiaodongjiang River. When we arrived, it was already nine o'clock and the gauze net was no longer visible, so we took a bus directly to the cruise ship boarding point (the terminal), bought 3 kilograms of delicious oranges for 10 yuan, and then took a bus back to the No. 4 Observation Deck, and then "walked" all the way back.

Walking along the Xiaodongjiang Trail, I didn't see many people. Even the air became fresh. I really like this kind of scenic spot with few people.

TIPS:

1. Recommended to visit from May to October. Best time to visit: 6:30-8:30 in the morning; 17:30-19:30 in the evening

2. There is no fog in Xiaodongjiang in November. The scenic area opens at 8:30 and the net casting ends at 9:00.

3. You can buy tickets online in advance. The price of China-TravelNote Route 1 is 72 yuan, and the price of Route 2 is 138 yuan. You can pick up the tickets directly from the machine at the ticket office, which is convenient.

4. Take the bus from the entrance to Observation Deck No. 2 for watching the nets being cast. Please allow at least 10 minutes.

5. Recommended tour route: Walk from Observation Deck No. 2 to No. 4 (the scenery along the way is still excellent)

6. Recommended playing time: 2 hours

The morning fog was thick, with layers of reflections. I heard that the fog was less around the National Day holiday, so we only saw a thin layer of fog when we arrived at 7 o'clock. It became lighter when the sun came out. The lake reflected the mountains, layer upon layer, like a Chinese landscape painting.

The foggy Xiaodongjiang River is the most worthwhile place to visit in Chenzhou. The lake water is very emerald green, and the foggy Xiaodongjiang River is a natural wonder that is rare to see.

You can choose two ways to play Xiaodongjiang

1) Choose to live near Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area, get up early at around 6 o'clock to reach the No. 3 or No. 4 viewing platform to see the morning fog. The fog is also quite thick at this time. Friends who live in Chenzhou City are unlikely to get up early and travel an hour to reach the scenic area before 6 o'clock.

2) Another way is to watch the fog in the evening. The fog is not as heavy as in the morning, but it is more relaxing and suitable for family outings or friends living in the city.

3) The best places to see the foggy Xiaodong River are No. 3 and No. 4. We chose No. 4, which is closer to the river. No. 3 overlooks the river. There are fishermen casting nets at both sites. It is recommended to go to No. 4 first to occupy a good position, take good photos, and then walk to No. 3, which is not far away, to take a look. If you have to choose between the two sites, No. 4 is better.

4) The fog-watching time is from April to October, from 6:00 to 8:30 in the morning and from 17:00 to 19:30 in the evening

5) Tickets for Dongjiang Lake must be booked online at least before 11:45 pm the day before.

6) The fisherman casts the net about once every half hour.

The fog-covered Xiaodong River, the core scenic spot of Dongjiang Lake, is shrouded in clouds and mist. The best time to view it is from 5:00 to 8:30 in the morning and from 5:00 to 7:00 in the afternoon. It is particularly beautiful and feels like a fairyland.

The Dragon Boat Festival has passed, and it's time to go back to work. During the Dragon Boat Festival, the 5A Dongjiang Lake Tourist Center in Hunan Province was crowded with people. By the time you lined up to buy tickets and take the bus to Xiaodongjiang, there was no fog, and you missed the best time to watch the fog. But it's not that scary. You just need to buy the round-trip tickets, and leave the rest to Xiaohui on the photo. She will arrange everything for you, so you don't have to crowd in line to squeeze into the car, take you to see the best fog, experience the Internet celebrity net, the paradise on earth, with professional photography skills, food, travel, accommodation and transportation are all arranged. Just have fun, it gave my family of 3 a happy Dragon Boat Festival, and we had a great time 😊🌹🌹 I will come again next time I have the chance.

The main scenic spot of Dongjiang Lake is the fog-covered Xiaodongjiang River, which is really a fairyland on earth. It is very beautiful to take pictures. There are also fishermen casting nets. Friends who come to Dongjiang Lake for tourism are recommended to buy Line 2, because after watching the fog and touring Longjing Canyon on Line 2, you can take a boat to Doushuai Island to visit the karst cave. When taking the boat, wear waterproof clothes and take pictures outside. The scenery is absolutely amazing.

We came to Dongjiang Lake on a spontaneous trip. A friend helped us contact the special car driver Xiao Huang to pick us up at the high-speed rail station. On the first day, we went directly to the southern prairie...Yangtian Lake! After this trip, we learned that there is usually fog in Xiaodongjiang River from 6 to 8 in the morning. Because the water is clear and beautiful, it reflects the trees on the shore, and there is light fog on the river. The picture is really beautiful! Then take the bus directly to the pier. It is recommended to go to Longjing Canyon in the morning first, because you need to climb the mountain. It is more comfortable to go in the morning. It is right next to the pier. It is green and beautiful. It is also good to walk and sit. After playing, have a meal and then take a boat to the Doushu Lingyan Cave. It takes about half an hour to get there by boat. The cave is cool and comfortable, and the picture is spectacular and beautiful. It is suitable for walking slowly and watching slowly to feel the greatness of nature! There is nothing to do on the island except the cave. You can go to the pier to take a boat back. There are also fruit and dried fish stalls on the pier on the island, which are cheaper than those at the departure pier. If you want to buy, you can buy some at the pier on the way back. Of course, there will be more styles at the departure pier.

Don't come to Dongjiang Lake for tourism. If you come, you will be reluctant to go back to work like me. The air and scenery here are good! The people here are even better! (Went there in October 2014) It was still light in the morning, and there was indeed a lot of fog, which made it feel like a poem or a picture. Many people went there for the fog, and some even camped there. When the fog cleared in the morning, there was nothing special.

Every year from April to October, there is a layer of fog over Xiaodong River in the morning and evening. This scene is worth appreciating and is loved by many photography enthusiasts. It is best to book a car and hotel in advance during the peak season, because Xiaodong River is too busy during the peak season and there are a lot of people. It is best to make a good guide or find a local guide, which can effectively avoid the peak of people.

Xiaodong River is famous for its beautiful fog, which is formed by the difference between air temperature and water temperature. The best time to photograph it is in the mornings of June, July and August. Xiaodong River combines the elegance of mountains and the charm of water, and is known as the "fairyland on earth".

The story of Xiaodongjiang

Hi, I’m Awu from Namizu Village, and this is my story.

When I first cast my net on the Xiaodong River, I didn’t catch anything the first 40 times.

They thought I would never be able to catch anything, and I guess they didn't see the talent in me.

They think I'm just a nobody and good for nothing.

But I didn't sit there and complain, I just kept training and training.

When no one believes in you, any effort you make will add points to yourself.

It was no longer a question of whether I could cast the net well, but rather I wanted to prove them wrong.

Finally, on the 41st time, they told me that my photo became popular on the Internet and I became "famous".

Now I still cast nets on Xiaodong River every day, because I know that although there are no fish in Xiaodong River, there are you who live by the river.

Although there was no morning fog, the reflection of the Dongjiang River was breathtakingly beautiful, and it felt like a series of ink-and-wash landscape paintings slowly unfolding before your eyes.

Xiaodongjiang River creates a fairyland-like scenery with fog all over the river. It is advertised that the best viewing period is from April to October, but in fact it is most beautiful in July and August.

You need to take the shuttle bus to get off at stop 2. The fishing boats are between stops 2 and 3. During the National Day holiday, it may be because we arrived at the scenic spot a little late, and there was almost no fog. According to other netizens, fog can still be seen after 6 o'clock, so friends who want to see the fog should go earlier and remember to bring an extra coat. However, the scenery of Xiaodongjiang River without fog is still beautiful, and no filters are needed for taking pictures. The fishermen will cast their nets as requested by everyone when they are happy. I saw it 3 times in total...

The fishing boats casting their nets, the clear river surface, the mountains on the background, the morning sunshine…everything is real in the ink painting, and when it appears in reality, it’s as if you have traveled through time.

The scenery is good, but the ticket price is quite unreasonable, which is in line with the common problem of domestic scenic spots: the reputation is ruined for the ticket money

It's picturesque and very charming, it's worth a visit!

You have to get up very early in the morning to see the good scenery of Xiaodongjiang. The highlight should be the mist on the river in the morning. When we went there, we drove past the ticket office and sneaked in. We didn't buy tickets. It was nervous and exciting. Those fishing boats casting nets are all posed. In order to take a better photo, many photographers will tip the boatman to let him cast the net a few more times. After all, it is really a physical job. The main thing is to walk along the plank road along the river and enjoy the scenery while walking. It is still very good.

Stayed at a hotel near the entrance of the scenic spot, set off at 6 am, there were crowds of people on the weekend, and the plank road was crowded with people. I took the scenic bus to the best fog-watching point, Platform 2. There was no empty space on the plank road to take pictures, it was already crowded with people. I moved forward to a place with an empty space, framed the scene and pressed the shutter of the camera, and in an instant there would always be an extra head or a hand. It is recommended to watch the fog on non-holidays.

There is a net-casting performance from 6 to 8 o'clock, and tickets can be collected at the visitor center at 6 o'clock.

The fog-forming principle of Xiaodongjiang River is the same as that of Jilin rime. It is said that the water temperature of Xiaodongjiang River is between 3 and 10 degrees all year round. From April to October, the temperature on the water surface is over 20 degrees, which will produce fog.

Pink gauze covers Xiaodong River lightly, and the mountain girl can still be seen wiping off her makeup. I dreamt of myself in a fishing boat, and the poetic feeling of the river also wandered.

A bee friend asked me: Is it better to watch the morning fog at Xiaodongjiang River from Bridge No. 2 or Bridge No. 4?

Here is my answer:

Since you are going to see the fog, of course you want your eyes to see the most beautiful scenery and your mobile phone or camera to take the best pictures.

To achieve better results when photographing morning and evening fog or fishing boats casting nets on the plank road on the west bank of Xiaodongjiang River, it is advisable to shoot against the light.

Backlighting is a kind of lighting with artistic charm and strong expressiveness. It can make the picture produce an artistic effect that is completely different from the actual light we see with our naked eyes. Backlighting is a means of using light in photography. In a broad sense, backlighting should include full backlighting and side backlighting.

Therefore, it is recommended to use the backlighting technique to shoot the morning fog. Bridge 2, Bridge 3 and Bridge 4 are all OK. However, since Bridge 2 has a wider view of the river and richer scenery, Bridge 2 is the first choice for shooting the morning fog.

As for photographing the evening fog, if you use backlighting, it is best to go to the observation deck next to the Bamboo Forest Island near Station 4.

It's a unique view to watch the fog over Xiaodongjiang River in the rain. But there are so many tourists that the whole plank road is full of people. It's raining moderately, which is embarrassing😓

Walking along the plank road from Bridge No. 2 all the way back and forth, the river fog slowly gathered. The scenery was beautiful along the way, but there were also staff members checking tickets all the time.

Bridge No. 3 has a 3-story viewing platform, which should be a great spot for taking photos. There is a small island, but the plants on the island grow a bit messy, and the bamboo on the viewing platform also blocks the view. Every time the fisherman casts the net, there is a sound of snapping, and the shutter sounds continuously. The photographers press the shutter excitedly and ask the fisherman to keep casting the net. However, casting the net is a physical job, and the fishermen work a long time every day, so they are indeed tired. However, the fishing boats quietly listen to the river surface, and the reflections in the river fog are actually another kind of beauty.

Xiaodongjiang is worth a visit. Arrive at 6 o'clock in the morning. If you go too late, there will be too many groups.

August is the time when Xiaodongjiang River is at its foggiest. Early in the morning, the riverside is full of tourists who come here to enjoy photography, many of whom are equipped with professional equipment. When the fog is thick, it is like a fairyland, with unique landscapes that are worth visiting from afar. The only thing I am not satisfied with is the somewhat disappointing public transportation planning in Chenzhou.

This paradise on earth, like a utopia, is a particularly wonderful travel experience.

The morning fog in Xiaodongjiang is a unique sight. There is basically fog before sunrise, and fishermen cast their nets at irregular intervals.

This is the Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area, with charming scenery that makes people linger and return.

If you want to see the foggy Dongjiang River, you must book your ticket one day in advance.

The earliest time to pick up your ticket is 5:30 the next day, and take the first bus to the scenic area at 5:45

We left home at 5 a.m. and took a motorcycle to the scenic spot.

I have read some guides that say that if you are brought into the scenic area by a local, you can get free tickets.

This should be explained as follows: If you just want to see the fog covering the Dongjiang River, you can indeed see it on the greenway, but you cannot go down the fog-viewing plank road.

There are staff standing guard at each plank road entrance to check tickets

When we arrived at the riverside, fog had already risen. My mother asked me again in amazement if the fog was man-made. Was it true or not? Unfortunately, there are no fishing boats casting nets now. The inns in the scenic area have been banned by the government.

Some villagers who used to run inns have switched to selling breakfast and snacks in the scenic area.

It is unclear whether fishing boats will resume fishing after casting their nets (they resumed fishing on July 19)

The Xiaodong River flows out from the bottom of the Dongjiang Dam, which is more than 100 meters deep. The water temperature is kept at 8-10℃ all year round, while the surface temperature of the Xiaodong River is around 20℃. The river water is hot at the top and cold at the bottom in the morning, and cold at the bottom and hot at the bottom in the evening, forming a temperature difference and forming a layer of water mist.

If the weather is unstable, you may not see fog.

The breakfast in the scenic area is very good, with 3 yuan for tofu pudding and 10 yuan for 3 pieces of Dongjiang fish (with hot sauce, it tastes great)

Xiaodongjiang River is located in the lower reaches of Dongjiang Lake in Zixing City, which is under the jurisdiction of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. It is 12 kilometers long, with lush vegetation on both sides and clear water. Xiaodongjiang River flows out from the bottom of the Dongjiang Dam, 100 meters deep, and the water temperature is kept at 8-10 degrees all year round. Affected by the microclimate, Xiaodongjiang River is shrouded in clouds and mist in the morning and evening from April to October every year. It is known as a wonder of China and has become a creative base for literati and photography enthusiasts. The foggy Xiaodongjiang River is one of the local characteristics.

Welcome to visit my home and refer to my travel notes "The fog has lost the tower and the moon is lost in the river, the distant mountains and nearby waters are all full of love", which has the information you need.

There is the most fog from 5 to 8 in the morning. I have personally tested that there is still some fog from 8 to 9, although it is not as thick.

The normal ticket is 100 yuan (ID card required), and there is a bus to the observation deck. The viewing angle of the observation deck is indeed better, so you can consider it. But be aware that there will be a lot of people, and it is not easy to choose the angle for taking pictures. So you can also consider leaving early + chartering a car like we did. The bridge he took us to was actually not bad if it was foggy earlier. In addition, the observation deck will be open for free around 9 o'clock, and you can go up to visit. The angle of the drone flying up is very good.
