Zhurong Peak is the highest peak in Hengshan Mountain, with an altitude of about 1,300 meters. Zhurong Peak is named after the fire god Zhurong. He lived in Hengshan Mountain and was buried in Hengshan Mountain after his death.
Zhurong Peak includes the Old Temple, Shangfeng Temple, Moon-Watching Platform, Nantianmen, Huixian Bridge and other scenic spots. There are many temples near Zhurong Peak, each with its own unique scenery. It is a place for Taoist activities.
There is a sunrise viewing platform on the mountain, which now houses a meteorological station. Due to the different weather changes every day, the sunrise scenes are also varied and colorful, making the spectacular sunrise of Nanyue even more beautiful.

Zhurong Peak covers a large area, which is basically calculated from the Nantianmen Archway. However, generally speaking, for a single scenic spot, it is still calculated from the "Zhurong Peak" stone tablet after Shangfeng Temple and Wangri Terrace, including Zhurong Hall and the viewing platform. Also from the stone tablet, there is no longer a driveway but only steps. This is the highest peak of Hengshan Mountain, with an altitude of 1,300 meters. Climbing to the top of the peak, you can overlook the Furong, Zigai, Tianzhu, Xiangguang and Yanxia peaks.
After entering Hengshan Scenic Area, you can take the scenic area tour bus all the way to Zhurong Peak, or you can take the cable car from halfway up the mountain. We chose to take the cable car, and later found that the Zhurong Peak cable car was a large carriage with nearly 20 people crammed inside. It felt a bit scary when encountering the mountain wind.
Hengshan is the most famous Taoist holy place in China. Taoist culture has a long history. It is said that Zhurong was a minister of the ancient Emperor Huangdi and the god of fire. Zhurong was close to fire and became an expert in managing and using fire. Huangdi appointed him as the official in charge of fire. He lived in Hengshan and was buried in Hengshan after his death. In order to commemorate his great contribution to people, the highest peak of Hengshan was named Zhurong Peak.
Zhurong Peak is high and majestic. From here, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains. I heard that the old temple on the top of Zhurong Peak is very spiritual, so I also went into the temple and worshipped the God of Fire respectfully. Zhurong God of Fire, please bless my family to live a prosperous life!
I have to support this family, haha, I didn't go inside the temple, it's suitable for watching the sunset
Zhurong Peak is the highest peak of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain with an altitude of 1,300 meters. The scenery is beautiful and the road is easy to walk. It is worth climbing to the top!
The scenery on Zhurong Peak is OK, just treat it as a very ordinary mountain climbing, don't have too much expectation, otherwise you will be disappointed
The highest peak of Nanyue, where many people are selling incense.
The highest peak of Nanyue Hengshan is still worth a visit, it is very beautiful
The Zhusheng Temple is at the top of the mountain. The altitude here is not high, but the journey is long. It is really tiring to climb here.
The highest peak of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain offers magnificent views as far as the eye can see.
At the top of Hengshan Mountain, there is a Taoist temple where many people burn incense.
The summit of Mount Hengshan in Nanyue. The great thing about Mount Hengshan is that you can take a car to the top of the mountain.
There are two Zhurong Peaks, one is the stone tablet and the other is the place for burning incense on the top of the mountain.
Zhurong Peak is nearly 1,300 meters above sea level, so it is much easier to climb than Huashan. Finally, I saw the temple on the top of the peak. The temple is simple, and the people are simple too, burning incense devoutly. Finally reached the top! Hengshan Zhurong Peak!
The top of the mountain is majestic and imposing, and many people come here to pray.
It's usually just a big rock.
Zhurong Peak is the highest point of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain. There is a Zhurong Temple on the top of the mountain, where the fire god Zhurong is enshrined. The view from here is very good overlooking the mountains. If the weather is good, you can also watch the sunrise and sunset.
This is the highest peak of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain. It was foggy and rainy on the day we climbed up, so we didn’t see much scenery, but there were quite a few tourists.
Zhurong Peak is located in Nanyue District in the north of Hengyang City, Hunan Province. It stands tall and straight, higher than Furong, Zigai, Tianzhu, Xiangguang, Yanxia, and Zhensu peaks. Zhurong Peak, with an altitude of 1,300.2 meters, towers into the sky and stands majestically in the south. It is the highest peak and main peak of the 72 peaks of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain. Its scenic spots include the Old Temple, Shangfeng Temple, Moon Watching Platform, Nantianmen, Huixian Bridge and other scenic spots. It is a scenic spot with natural landscape as the main and cultural landscape as the auxiliary. Millions of tourists come here every year to watch the sunrise, the sea of clouds, and the snow scenery. "Zhurong rises thousands of feet from the ground, and you can't see it in the light smoke." The "height of Zhurong Peak" is known as the first of the "Four Wonders of Nanyue".
Zhurong Peak is named after the fire god Zhurong. It is said that Zhurong was a minister of the ancient Emperor Huangdi and the fire god. After humans invented the method of drilling wood to make fire, they did not know how to preserve fire and how to use fire. Zhurong became an expert in managing and using fire because he was close to fire. Huangdi appointed him as the fire official in charge of fire. Because he was familiar with the situation in the south, Huangdi appointed him as Situ, in charge of southern affairs. He lived in Hengshan and was buried in Hengshan after his death. In order to commemorate his great contribution to people, the highest peak of Hengshan was named Zhurong Peak. In ancient language, "Zhu" means lasting and "Rong" means bright, so let him be bright forever.
There is also a Zhurong Temple on the top of Zhurong Peak, which is the most popular place in Nanyue. Next to Zhurong Peak is Wangri Terrace. If you want to watch the sunrise, don't go wrong, Wangri Terrace is the best place to watch the sunrise. In addition, compared with the other four mountains, the highest point of Zhurong Peak, Wangyue Terrace (elevation monument), is not open to the public, which is a pity.
Only by staying at Zhurong Peak can you experience the sunset and sunrise of Hengshan Mountain. You can set up a tent at Zhurong Peak. Many people are at the top of the peak.
You can stay in a tent, and the rental fee is 100 yuan. You can also stay at Shangfeng Temple, where a bunk bed costs 50 yuan. Other single rooms cost between 180 and 300 yuan, and double rooms cost between 240 and 500 yuan.
Zhurong Peak is located in the middle of the Nanyue Hengshan Mountain in the eastern part of Hunan Province. It stands tall and straight, higher than the Furong, Zigai, Tianzhu, Xiangguang, Yanxia, and Zhensu peaks. Zhurong Peak, with an altitude of 1,300.2 meters, towers into the sky and stands majestically in the south. It is the highest peak and main peak of the 72 peaks of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain. The "height of Zhurong Peak" is known as the first of the "Four Wonders of Nanyue".
We climbed Hengshan Mountain at night and reached the top in more than 6 hours. It was very cold at night on the top of the mountain. We climbed the mountain next to the incense burner for one night and watched the sunrise at about 5:40 in the morning. We mainly walked along the road when we went up the mountain, and sometimes took shortcuts on the small roads. We got lost on the small roads when we went down the mountain, and it took a long time to get out of the mountain.
It was rainy and foggy when I went up the mountain that day. I couldn't see anything. I considered it a successful check-in.
The highest place in Nanyue Hengshan, a good place to watch the sunset. Although the clouds were thick that day, I still saw the beautiful sunset after waiting, and I was very satisfied.
Zhurong Peak is the highest peak of Hengshan Mountain. After reaching the top of the mountain, the scenery does not give you the same visual impact as other Mingyue.
Today is the 20th day of the third lunar month. There are many pilgrims coming to burn incense. The drizzle cannot stop the pilgrims. They carry all kinds of offerings and rush to Zhurong Peak. It is very spectacular! Because there are too many people, most of them do not walk up the stone steps on the mountain, but walk slowly and arduously along the road, which shows their piety.
There were too many people during the Golden Week, so it was difficult to take a panoramic photo. The scenery was really nice.
It took us nearly 1 hour and 50 minutes to walk from Nantianmen to the top of Zhurong Peak. We tried to use the ladder as much as possible, and finally reached the top even though our legs were sore. Before going up to Zhurong Peak to worship, there is a long stone staircase, which witnessed and tested our piety. The order of worshipping Zhurong Temple is very easy. All Buddhist halls are concentrated in one Zhurong Temple, and the worship method is the same as that of Nanyue Temple. Pious worship is only for the wish.
I went there on the third day of the Chinese New Year. The mountain road was very steep. It was very windy when I got to Zhurong Peak. There were many people and a lot of fog. It is recommended to wear waterproof and windproof clothes.
Zhurong Peak is the highest peak in Nanyue. Forgive us lazy people from the countryside for not being able to climb it. The cable car goes all the way to the top of the mountain.
Very nice, worth the climb, the scenery is pleasant!
That night, we climbed Hengshan Mountain in the thick fog. It was about 3:00 a.m. when we reached Zhurong Peak.
The main peak of Zhurong Peak is 1,300.2 meters above sea level. It is the highest peak among the 72 peaks of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain. It is also a mountain named in memory of the fire god Zhurong. The "height of Zhurong Peak" has been praised as the first of the four wonders of Nanyue scenery throughout the ages.
The top of Mount Nanyue, Hengshan is like walking in the sea of clouds. Climb it and wish God a happy Year of the Rooster.
The overall beauty of Hengshan is really amazing, coupled with the strong influence of Buddhist culture and Taoist culture, Nanyue is really worthy of its reputation. The transportation in the entire scenic area is particularly developed, which is especially suitable for people with certain physical strength but not very strong physical strength to play, and it is also particularly suitable for bringing girls to play. After all, it is one of the Five Mountains, and its reputation is not exaggerated. It is worth a visit. It is strongly recommended for Buddhists.................
The commanding heights of Nanyue, the scenery here is unique, it is a holy place
2017.2.10 After 4 hours of intense climbing, Liangzi and I finally arrived at Zhurong Peak. It was a great pleasure to see the famous mountain of our motherland! The mountains and rivers are magnificent, and Hengshan is worthy of being the most beautiful of the Five Sacred Mountains.
This is the highest place. It seems that many people are burning incense and worshipping Buddha here. We are just here to enjoy the scenery and see all the other mountains.
What a special landscape, covered in snow, I love it so much.
Zhurong Peak is the highest peak of Hengshan Mountain. It is 1,290 meters above sea level and has Zhurong Temple. This should be the first one of the Five Great Mountains in China that I visited. So when I reached the top of the mountain, I had a feeling of looking at the mountains. It was very beautiful and I felt open-minded. I felt that nothing mattered. I recommend it. I didn’t see the snow on the mountain this time. It’s a pity! But the weather was good, the blue sky and white clouds plus the ultra-wide-angle lens were very shocking. The mountains in China are different from those in Yunnan and Tibet. It’s a new visual and mental experience. I recommend it again!
Zhurong Peak is the main peak of Hengshan Mountain, and many people come here to burn incense.

It is a scenic spot with natural landscape as the main feature and cultural landscape as the supplement.
The fog was so thick that I was completely lost. I could only focus on my feet and keep climbing up.
The vivid writing makes people want to step on a white cloud and float away with the wind
Zhurong Peak is located in Nanyue District in the north of Hengyang City, Hunan Province. It is a famous scenic spot in Hengshan Scenic Area. When I went there in May that year, Hengshan was full of azaleas.
The highest peak of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain, also the best viewing point for watching the sunset
I will climb to the highest point of every mountain, but not Zhurong Peak because the Zhurong Temple is too high.
Zhurong Peak is the highest peak in Hengshan Mountain, with an altitude of about 1,300 meters. Zhurong Peak is named after the fire god Zhurong. This is actually the first tourist destination I have ever been to. I went there when I was five years old. Then I went there again when I was 16, 24, and 31.
Zhurong Peak is the main peak of Mount Hengshan, Nanyue, and the highest peak of the 72 peaks of Nanyue. It has an altitude of 1,300.2 meters.
Its name comes from the name of the fire god Zhurong; according to legend, Zhurong was in charge of the south, lived in Hengshan, and was buried in Hengshan after his death.
This place is still the highest point of Hengshan Mountain, and looking out, it stands tall among the mountains.
Zhurong Peak in Hengshan is quite worth seeing. It is almost the highest viewing area in Hengshan and also the place to watch the sunrise. Unfortunately, when we went there, it was surrounded by clouds and mist and we didn’t see the sunrise at all. However, watching the sea of clouds is also a unique experience~~
Very beautiful! Zhu Rong lived here and rests here forever! It's very mythical!
The top of Mount Nanyue, I arrived in 2015!
Zhurong Peak, with an altitude of 1,300.2 meters, towers into the sky and stands majestically in the southern sky. It is the highest and main peak of the 72 peaks of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain. It was quite nice to reach the top. The cable car only went to Nantianmen, and then we walked for a while to Zhurong Peak. The scenery was very good, and it was okay to burn incense and take pictures.
To climb Mount Hengshan, one must go up to Zhurong Peak.
Zhurong Peak is the highest peak among the 72 peaks of Hengshan Mountain, with an altitude of 1,300.2 meters. It is said that Zhurong was buried here in ancient times. The height of Zhurong Peak is one of the "Four Wonders of Nanyue". There is Zhurong Hall (formerly known as Laoshengdi Hall) on the top of the peak, which is integrated with the top of the mountain. This hall was built by Taoist Sima Chengzhen during the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty as the "Nanyue Zhenjun Temple". It was built as the "Kaiyuan Temple" to worship the fire god Zhurong during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. It was converted into a temple in the 16th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1751) and rebuilt in the 7th year of Guangxu (1881). It is a granite stone wall and iron tile structure to withstand the wind and snow on the top of the mountain. The current appearance of Zhurong Hall was renovated by the Nanyue Administration in 1982.
From Shangfeng Temple to Zhurong Hall, the road is surrounded by clouds and mist. In winter, the rime is a silvery white world. In the early morning when the sun is rising, the sunlight will turn Zhurong Hall into a golden color.
Zhurong Peak rises ten thousand feet from the ground, and you can't see it in the light smoke. The "height of Zhurong Peak" is praised as the first of the "Four Wonders of Nanyue". Zhurong Peak is the highest point of Nanyue. The Zhurong Hall on the top of the mountain is the most popular place for incense. There is also a Sun Viewing Platform next to it, which is the most suitable place to watch the sunrise.
DAY3: Changsha - Nanyue Hengshan: Two girls from Northeast China who were eating and shopping got on the 🚄 and headed for the misty Nanyue Hengshan [smirk][smirk] In December, Zhurong Peak, nothing can be seen, all kinds of fog! I heard that praying for wealth and official luck is very effective! I prayed for a good fortune, and it was very good. I spent 500 silver coins 😢
The highest peak of Hengshan Mountain, you can climb up if you work hard.
Fortunately, when we reached the top of the peak, we saw that the clouds were in a line, which was very beautiful. However, there were many people, so it was very difficult to take pictures in front of the Nanyue Hengshan Stele. People were taking pictures with the stele one after another.
Of course, you have to go to Zhurong Peak when you go to Hengshan Mountain. It is the highest peak of Hengshan Mountain. Standing on it, you can see a different scenery, which is very shocking! ~
At the top of Hengshan Mountain, there is only Zhurong. If you go to Hengshan Mountain, you must visit Zhurong Peak. Everyone knows this.
The highest point of Nanyue, there is also a temple inside, where you can burn incense and pray
Zhurong Peak is steep, beautiful and has a profound cultural heritage. Here you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and be influenced by Chinese culture!
Zhurong Peak is the highest peak among the 72 peaks of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain, with an altitude of 1300.2. It is higher than Furong, Zigai, Tianzhu, Xiangguang, Yanxia and other peaks, and towers into the sky. It is the main peak of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain. The scenic spots mainly include the Old Temple, Shangfeng Temple, Wangyue Terrace, Nantianmen, Huixian Bridge, which are mainly natural landscapes and supplemented by cultural landscapes. The main features are watching the sunrise, watching the sea of clouds, and enjoying the snow scenery. It is known as the four unique hands of Nanyue. When we went there, we set up a tent on the Wangyue Terrace, and then watched the sunrise the next morning, and continued to climb up to see Shangfeng Temple and the Old Temple. In the early morning, many believers will burn incense and pray for peace and longevity. There are many people. It is recommended to pay attention to the local weather forecast before going. Only sunny days can see the sunrise, which is indeed spectacular. The sky is very blue in the morning, and you can see clouds of various shapes. If you are not afraid of the cold, you can go in winter. The snow scenery will also make Zhurong Peak have a different mystery and beauty. When you climb the highest peak of Hengshan Mountain step by step, you will find that you have not only conquered a mountain, but also conquered your own heart. 😋
The summit of Mount Nanyue is a must for mountaineers. Most people come here to burn incense and pray.
It is a Taoist building, and all the gods are worshipped inside it, but it is run by a bunch of monks. Isn't this just usurping the magpie's nest?
As a native of Hengyang, I must have visited Nanyue Hengshan several times. As one of the Five Sacred Mountains, Nanyue Hengshan is famous for its beautiful scenery. The highest peak is Zhurong Peak. Climbing to the top of Zhurong, there is a cool breeze in summer and rime and snow in winter. The ticket is 120 yuan, and it takes five hours to hike to the top from the gate (three hours is enough for good physical strength). In addition, there is a scenic bus from the foot of the mountain to Zhurong Peak, and the round-trip ticket price is 80. There is also a cable car at the half-mountain pavilion, and the ticket price is 40. The most humane thing is that the bus ticket is equivalent to a joint trip. You can stop and play at any scenic spot in the picture, and then take the next one! In addition, if you are thirsty during the climb, you can buy a cucumber, which can quench your thirst and replenish your physical strength. It must be emphasized that the Martyrs' Shrine cannot be missed. Hengyang is a famous historical city of the War of Resistance Against Japan. You can relive those glorious years in the Martyrs' Shrine!
We took the cable car up and walked along the main road for a while before reaching Zhurong Peak. There were still many pilgrims here, but much fewer than at the Nanyue Temple. The fog was thicker when we arrived at Zhurong Peak. We were almost completely shrouded in the white fog, and our vision was even smaller. We could only say that the sky was not good and we missed the beautiful scenery that we should have seen at Zhurong Peak.
You are almost at the top. If the weather is good, the scenery is pretty good. Most people go there to burn incense and worship Buddha, while some hikers go to climb the mountain to watch the sunrise.
I arrived there at 11 o'clock, and it was still foggy. I waited for dozens of minutes and was about to go down the mountain when the fog suddenly cleared up, so I quickly took two pictures.
The mountain is still beautiful! It's just too hot and there are many people burning incense, which makes it even hotter!
The scenery at the top of the mountain is so beautiful. You can see the sea of clouds and the small mountains.
Finally climbed up to Zhurong Peak. Standing on the stairs and looking at the sea of clouds, I felt like I was looking down on all the other mountains.
It is very convenient to get to Hengyang from Changsha. The train ride is very fast. The Nanyue Hengshan Mountain is the most beautiful in the world and lives up to its name.
Another half an hour's walk from Nantianmen will take you to Zhurong Peak, the highest peak of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain.
The joy of reaching the top is the view you can only see when you reach the top.
Few words can express
When the top of the mountain is covered with crystal ice and jade-like flowers, the joy of seeing the rime lingers in your heart, and you instantly find your own time.
Here, you can see rime, sunrise, and a 270-degree panoramic view of Mount Nanyue. The rime on the top of the mountain, bathed in the most direct sunlight, is extremely crystal clear and shiny. With these "light strips" as the foreground and background, taking photos with a whitening filter is simply amazing~
There are still some grocery stores on the top of the mountain.
There are also some aunts and uncles carrying baskets and selling snacks.
There are ham, corn, and tofu.
It's hot, and it warms you up after a bite.
The price is also very affordable
Hengshan really doesn't cheat people
