There is also a beautiful and sad legend about Hulun Lake.

The story of diving into Hulun Lake barefoot reminded me of many things, about love, about courage, and about wisdom. At three or four o'clock in the afternoon, the surface of Hulun Lake was sparkling in the sunlight, and there was no end in sight.

Walking and playing with travel companions by the lake, although it is a lake, it gives people the illusion of an ocean, just as vast and deep.

I imagine what kind of people live on the other side of the lake, and what joys and sorrows they have. Traveling is never just about perceiving the colors, shapes, and flavors of a place, but also about giving your body and mind to this strange place, letting it give you a new experience of life.

The ticket to Hulun Lake is 30 yuan🎫. You can ask the driver to drive in from the fork on the right side of the scenic area to avoid buying a ticket.

After entering the scenic area from the fork on the right, you can walk to the lake along a hillside path. When the light is good, Hulun Lake is very suitable for taking backlit photos📷.

Hulun Lake, also known as 'Dalai Lake', is a sister lake of Buir Lake. Local herders call it "a lake like the sea". It is the largest lake in Inner Mongolia, the largest lake in Northeast China, and the fifth largest freshwater lake in China. In September, Hulun Lake is like a flowing blue painting, with endless blue waves, like a crystal-clear and huge pearl, inlaid on the Hulunbuir grassland, which is pleasing to the eye. It is the symbol of Hulunbuir grassland and the pride of Hulunbuir.

Hulun Lake, in Mongolian, means "sea-like lake". It is a lake in the Ergun River Basin and the largest lake in Inner Mongolia. It is located in the heart of Hulunbuir Grassland and is known as the "Pearl of the Grassland". The Hulun Lake area is the main birthplace of many nomadic peoples in the north. Donghu, Xiongnu, Xianbei, Shiwei, Huihe, Turkic, Khitan, Jurchen, Mongolian and other ethnic groups once lived and multiplied here.

The so-called Hulun Lake Scenic Area is just a small area of the lake artificially enclosed and built into a paid park. The ticket price of 40 yuan is comparable to that of the Forbidden City, and there are no supporting facilities. The lake is large, blue and clean. It is not as bad as the online reviews say. The lake is indeed beautiful against the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds, but that's all, because the only way to play is to walk along the gravel road on the lake beach, which takes about ten to twenty minutes to complete the journey, and the experience is almost zero. There are several yachts on the lake, and the charge is not cheap. A platform for taking photos has been built by the lake, which is also charged. As for the great wonders introduced in Baidu Encyclopedia, such as the Lake and Sky Mirage, the Stone Piles in Love with Horses, the Jade Beach Waves, the Tiger Roaring in Hulun, and the Elephant Mountain Looking at the Moon, none of them are reflected here. The only place where you can take pictures is the stone tablet engraved with Hulun Lake.

Hulun Lake is the largest lake in Inner Mongolia, also known as "Dalai Lake". It is a sister lake of Beier Lake and the origin of the name of the "Hulun Buir" region. Hulun Lake is very famous: China's third largest freshwater lake in terms of water storage, China's fifth largest freshwater lake, and the largest lake in Northeast China... The lake is very large and you can take a cruise on the lake, but it is basically surrounded by grasslands and the scenery is relatively monotonous, so it is recommended to walk along the lake.

In fact, the name Hulunbuir comes from the fact that there are two lakes here, namely Hulun Lake and Beier Lake.

Most tourists go to Hulun Lake to a paid scenic spot on the north bank of the lake, but the attraction I want to recommend to you is not that scenic spot, but a place called Genghis Khan's Horse Tie Post on the west bank of Hulun Lake. It is a completely free attraction with few tourists. The location is to turn to a fork road after driving on National Highway 311 (self-navigation Genghis Khan Horse Tie Post), and there is a very obvious sign of a warrior riding a horse at the starting point of the fork road.

As the navigation displayed the location getting closer and closer, I was sitting in the back seat of the car and was almost looking forward to it. Finally, the cliff seemed to suddenly appear from the horizon. Although I had seen its picture in the guide, it was not until I got there in person that I realized that the cliff was so vast!

It is really beautiful, and looks like the small fresh islands I have seen in travel notes. If you look closely, there are dots of cows grazing on the grass on the cliff. In the parking lot, we also met a docile big white dog (zhu), which we kept petting.

All in all, I highly recommend this attraction!

There is an empty scenic spot called Golden Coast in the west. I thought it was a scenic spot under construction, but when I came back to check, I found that it was a semi-abandoned scenic spot.

Although, the lake is not very interesting on a cloudy day, it is worth a short stop just for the name Hulun.

By huihua_po |

The south bank of Hulun Lake is a processed scenic spot. It is just a lakeside view. You have to pay an entrance fee. It is not worth going.

We fed all the leftover bread to the seagulls.

By Zheng Tai YY |

The scenery on the way to Hulun Lake is very good. I think this Hulun Lake is just so-so, it is just a lake that looks endless, and it does look a bit like the sea. But there is a lot of garbage in the scenic spot.

Hulun Lake is located in the heart of Hulunbuir Prairie. It is an irregular oblique rectangle with the long axis from southwest to northeast. The lake is 93 kilometers long, with a maximum width of 41 kilometers and an average width of 32 kilometers. The lake has a circumference of 447 kilometers, an area of 2,339 square kilometers, an average water depth of 5.7 meters, and a water storage capacity of 13.85 billion cubic meters. It is the largest lake in Inner Mongolia and the largest lake in Northeast China.

After shopping, we went directly to Hulun Lake Scenic Area, also known as Dalai Lake. It is a freshwater lake like the Beier Lake next to it. It is the origin of the name Hulun Buir and the largest lake here. The lake is vast and looks like the boundless sea. It was cloudy when we went there, which was the only bad weather on this trip.

As the saying goes: If a wolf turns back, there must be a reason; either to repay a favor or to seek revenge.

Genghis Khan's horse post is located on the west bank of Hulun Lake, 88 kilometers away from Manzhouli City. There is a stretch of river bank that looks like a wolf's head.

When we arrived here, it was already late in the evening. We had to turn off the national highway. There was a section of the road that was not easy to walk on as it was all dirt road.

After walking for a while, I realized the road conditions were so bad that I lost confidence and wanted to turn back.

I happened to see a jeep with a Beijing license plate coming from the opposite direction. I asked how far this road was. The man was very enthusiastic and said: It's not far. After passing this section, it will be a good road! It's not easy to come here, don't go back, go and have a look, it's pretty good!

I thought about it and continued walking forward.

Sure enough, the trail soon came to an end, and there was an endless asphalt road ahead.

When we got to Hulun Lake, it was really beautiful! Especially the aerial view of Hulun Lake was very beautiful.

Maybe I had too high expectations for Hulun Lake. When I was actually there, it wasn't as clear and bright as I thought. But it's still a must-visit place when you come to Hulunbuir.

Hulun Lake, also known as Dalai Lake and Hulun Pond, is called Zhalainor by local herdsmen. It is the largest lake in Inner Mongolia, the fifth largest inland lake in China, the fourth largest freshwater lake in China, and a sister lake of Lake Beier.

There are many Hulun Lakes/Dalai Lakes as big as Hong Kong, which means a lake like the sea. Inland areas generally yearn for the sea. Tickets are 50 yuan/person and viewing from a distance is free

There is winter fishing in winter, and the golden grassland outside the gate of the scenic area

By Hit your feet with your fart |

Since we went there on November 11, it was off-season and there were no tourists. All the shops were closed and no one was managing them, so we drove in directly and walked wherever we wanted. It was great.

The lake in the grassland has the same momentum and scenery as the sea. Facing the lake, you can also wait for the spring flowers to bloom.

Located in Xinbaerhu Right Banner in the west of Hulunbuir Grassland in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, it is a freshwater lake of tectonic origin whose mineralization is greatly affected by the environment. Hulun Lake is the largest lake in Inner Mongolia, the third largest freshwater lake in China in terms of water storage, and the largest lake in Northeast China. It is a sister lake with Beier Lake. The west bank of Hulun Lake is undulating mountains and handsome cliffs; the east and south banks are flat and open. The bottom of the lake is muddy and relatively flat. The lake surface is an irregular oblique rectangle with the long axis from southwest to northeast. The lake is 93 kilometers long, with a maximum width of 41 kilometers, an average width of 32 kilometers, and a circumference of 447 kilometers. You can drive or charter a car to Hulun Lake. Adhering to the principle of budget travel, the three of us chose to go by bus. Take bus 1 to bus 20 to the terminal, and then take a 20-yuan Didi to the lake. Dalai Lake is very big, so you don't have to go to the scenic area! We played from 1pm to 7:30pm! The lake water is like matcha soup.

Because it was late autumn when we went there, it felt like it might be the most ordinary lake. In fact, the climate and soil conditions in Hulunbuir are still relatively poor, so having a lake there is really rare and precious.

By Hiking on the grassland |

In ancient times, there was a couple in the Mongolian tribe. The girl was called Hulun and the boy was called Beier. The demon Manggus led wolves, insects, tigers and leopards to the grassland. Relying on the two extremely powerful clear water pearls on his head, he ravaged the grassland, sucked the river water dry, the grass withered and yellowed, and the livestock died. He cast a pervasive black fog and snatched away Miss Hulun. Beier fought with the demon Manggus for the grassland and Miss Hulun. Hulun pretended to please Manggus: "If you give me one of the pearls on your head, I will grant your wish in the future." Manggus was so excited that he said yes and handed one of them to Hulun. Hulun knew that a pearl was a pool of clear water. In order to nourish the grassland, she resolutely put the pearl into her mouth and turned into a vast clear water. Manggus was dumbfounded. Without a pearl on his body, his divine power was reduced by half. Beier caught up with Manggus, pulled the bow like a full moon, and shot an arrow into his heart. Beier seized another pearl and went looking for Hulun with the joy of victory. Only then did he know that Hulun had turned into a goddess who nourished the grassland. The sad Beier vowed to protect Hulun forever and swallowed another pearl. Suddenly, a pool of clear water appeared in the south of Hulun Lake. In order to commemorate them, the villagers named the two lakes Hulun Lake and Beier Lake respectively.

A very famous place. In addition to being vast and boundless, the water quality is very poor, and the lake water containing a lot of green algae rolls up the shore, lacking beauty. Good drivers will take you to the lake by bypassing the toll booth, while ordinary drivers will drive directly to the parking lot and let you buy a ticket yourself for 20 yuan, which is unnecessary. You can get to the lake by taking a longer detour.

It was quite disappointing. I understand why so many people are attracted to the original beauty, because it is so beautiful! This kind of artificial trace is very serious. To be honest, it is like the park downstairs. It can't arouse any ripples in my heart.

In the future, Hulun Lake will be bluer and the grassland will be greener, so we must protect nature.

By Why |

Hulun Lake is as vast as the sea, but its water is not as blue as the sea. It is a slightly turbid sandy yellow. The lake is surrounded by rough rocks, which deepens the coldness of the water.

Hulun Lake is very big, and we only saw a part of it.

There are many crystal clear agate stones in the sand and stones by the lake. Although they are very small, they will be very beautiful if you gather them together, take them home and put them in a fish tank.

The lake is awesome. Sit quietly by the lake and feel the changes of the lake water, deep blue, light blue, and the sky is also that pure blue. It is really the same color as the sea and the sky! The clear water of Hulun Lake reflects the pure blue sky, which stimulates me. This is the blue diamond on the Hulunbuir grassland - Hulun Lake. The clean lake water and unique wetland ecology have nurtured abundant fish resources. The lake water is clear and cold, and it is a beautiful lake.

Hulun Lake is indeed vast. Standing by the lake, you can't see the edge. The water level has indeed dropped a lot. You can even walk to the viewing island about 1km away from the lake, so I took a photo of the shore scenery on the island. Dalai Lake is really too big. It is said that it is the size of two Hong Kongs or nine West Lakes. Standing on this fifth largest freshwater lake in China, it is like standing on the shore of the sea. The blue lake is set against the blue sky. Looking back at the shore, there is green grassland between the sky and the earth, like an incomparable fairyland.
