Yuejiang Tower

Nanjing Yuejiang Tower, Yellow Crane Tower, Yueyang Tower and Tengwang Pavilion are collectively known as the four famous towers in the south of the Yangtze River. They have a distinct Ming Dynasty style and a classical royal style.
The most distinctive feature of Yuejiang Tower is that the record was written before the building was built. It was built by modern people based on the Yuejiang Tower Record written by Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty.
Climb up the Yuejiang Tower and look out into the distance, where you can have a panoramic view of the vast river and the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, as well as the entire panorama of Jinling.

On the last day of National Day, I wanted to find a place in Nanjing where there weren't too many people to relax and greet the new week, so I chose Yuejiang Tower on the top of Lion Mountain. Yifeng Gate, Tianfei Palace and Jinghai Temple are not too far away. Except that it might be a little inconvenient to eat, you can really enjoy a day strolling here.

Yuejiang Tower means viewing the beautiful scenery of the river. It is more than 52 meters high, with four outer floors and three hidden floors, a total of seven floors. It has green tiles and red pillars, eaves touching the sky, red curtains with flying phoenixes, and red doors full of colors. It has a distinct classical royal style and is a typical Ming Dynasty royal architectural style. The total construction area is more than 5,000 square meters.

The intuitive feeling of visiting is the grandeur and magnificence, and the architectural style is also very distinct from the royal texture of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Although it is introduced as "one of the four famous towers in Jiangnan" in the publicity, its actual recognition is not high, and some Nanjing friends don't even know this place. Why? Because the situation of "there is a record but no building" has continued for more than 600 years. Yuejiang Tower was built in the spring of the seventh year of Hongwu. Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, even wrote "Yuejiang Tower Record" himself, but after the foundation for the building project was leveled and completed, he suddenly decided to stop construction, perhaps because of funding reasons. Since then, there has been no building but a record here, until the Nanjing Municipal Government approved the construction of Yuejiang Tower in 1997, and it was officially completed in September 2001. So there are historical reasons why this place is not so famous.

Apart from these historical and technological factors, the entire scenic area is still worth a visit. Take a leisurely stroll, there are not many people and the air is good. Walking along the wall up the Yifeng Gate, the green plants on both sides are very thriving, and you can see the scenery of Nanjing from a bird's eye view. Isn't it wonderful at the end of the holiday? It was a little cool when I climbed to the top, so I put on a thick coat and waited for the sunset. It was a pity that the fog was a little too much today, leaving a little regret. I saw the tower of Litchi Square and the Yangtze River Bridge from a distance, and I felt a little happy. This is our city, it is so beautiful.

It’s a great autumn with cool weather. This is the place to go in autumn.

📌Opening hours: 7:00-18:00 (it is still the peak season)

Yuejiang Tower is located on the top of Lion Mountain in Gulou District, Nanjing. It stands on the bank of the Yangtze River, drinking in the clouds and swallowing the mist. It is one of the top ten cultural towers in China and one of the four famous towers in Jiangnan. It is also the main attraction of Nanjing Yuejiang Tower Scenic Area, a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, and one of the 48 scenic spots of New Jinling. It is known as the "No. 1 Tower in Jiangnan".

Yuejiang Tower means "viewing the beauty of the river". It is more than 52 meters high, with four outer floors and three hidden floors, a total of seven floors. It has green tiles and red pillars, eaves and teeth, red curtains and phoenixes flying, and red doors full of colors. It has a distinct classical royal style and is a typical Ming Dynasty royal architectural style. The total construction area is more than 5,000 square meters.

Yuejiang Tower was built in the spring of the seventh year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1374). Emperor Taizu of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang, issued an edict to start building a pavilion on Lion Mountain northwest of Nanjing, the capital. He personally wrote "Yuejiang Tower Record" and ordered all the civil officials in the court to write one "Yuejiang Tower Record". Among them, the one written by Grand Secretary Song Lian was the best, which was later selected into "Gu Wen Guan Zhi".

On the first day of the Lunar New Year, which is the Spring Festival, I got up early and went out! The urban transportation in Nanjing is very developed, so I didn't rent a car and relied on public transportation throughout the journey. The first goal: Yuejiang Tower in Shiziling. Entering the Yuejiang Tower scenic area, there is a gate of Nanjing City behind me. I forgot the name 😣 Maybe it's because it's the first day of the Lunar New Year? In addition to the staff, there is only our family in the entire scenic area... This is really rare in scenic spots during the Spring Festival...Formally entering the Yuejiang Tower, right in front of you is the relief statue of Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, inspecting the old site of Yuejiang Tower. The interior of the Yuejiang Tower is said to be more prosperous than the Tang and Song Dynasties. It is said that it was Kangxi or Qianlong who gave the evaluation of the Ming Dynasty. It is said that Yuejiang Tower is not actually a historical site. Zhu Yuanzhang wanted to build it but it was not built. The current Yuejiang Tower was newly built in the 1980s.

The Yuejiang Tower Scenic Area is in Gulou District, some distance from the city center. Because I live in the city center, I feel it is a bit far. It happened that I was in Zhongshan Scenic Area that morning and came to Yuejiang Tower in the afternoon. I entered the scenic area at three or four o'clock. There were not many people in the scenic area. The South Gate is close to Yifeng Gate. There are two roads to choose from when entering the scenic area. I actually chose a deserted section of the Ming City Wall to experience Nanjing's ancient city wall again. After walking for a while, I walked up the stairs to the Yuejiang Tower. There are a total of six floors on the top of the building. There are not many people viewing the scenery, and the road is very narrow. There is only one entrance. I am very afraid of heights and it is extremely difficult for me to complete the circle. However, it is very good to view the scenery of the Yangtze River here. There is a cultural corridor, an ancient artillery platform, and the archway of the first building in Jiangnan. If you leave the scenic area early, you can go out from the South Gate to the west through Yifeng Gate to Tianfei Palace. Because it was more than five o'clock when I went out, it was closed, so I didn't go. I just took a photo and left. In general, Yuejiang Tower is average. It is not recommended for the elderly because the elevator is not open, which is very inconvenient. The overall service of the scenic area is not very good.

This photo was taken on the stairs leading to the Yuejiang Tower. The weather was quite good.

The stairs of Yuejiang Tower are not very high, and it takes less than ten minutes to reach the top. There are also several rest platforms in the middle, which is quite relaxing.

Climb up the stairs and you can see the scenery of Nanjing city from the entrance of Zhengtongrenhe Hall.

What’s a bit disappointing is that the entrance to Yuejiang Tower is one level down from the square behind the Zhengtongrenhe Hall. Most tourists cannot find it at a glance when they come up from the south gate, and there is not even a signpost.

The first floor displays the brief introductions of 16 Ming Dynasty emperors, starting from Emperor Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang to Emperor Sizong (Chongzhen) Zhu Youjian, followed by several emperors of the Southern Ming Dynasty including Zhu Yousong and Zhu Youlang.

On the third to fifth floors of the lobby is a porcelain painting of Zheng He's voyages to the West.

The horned beasts in Yuejiang Tower are not the common nine sons of a dragon, but some auspicious beasts whose names are unknown.

The city wall seen from Yuejiang Tower. The Taiping Rebellion broke through Nanjing from this place.

In early August 2019, in the height of summer, I climbed up the Yuejiang Tower to see the Yangtze River. It was before the typhoon came, and the clouds were dancing, which was spectacular and rare. Although it was a hot summer day, I felt happy.

By Horses trample on Donghu |

Don't go there, there are a lot of steps and it's a new attraction built in 2001. It's not worth the ticket price and a waste of time.

The first thing that disgusted me was the imitation of the Houmuwu Ding standing after the entrance archway. The edges of the tripod's feet were lifeless and not upright, and the blank spaces deliberately left on the original body of the tripod were all engraved with text, making it look extremely complicated. The simplicity of the tripod was completely gone, and there were no traces of casting on the bottom of the belly of the tripod. It was really not a replica at all.

Then there are the brackets, which were originally used to support the heavy roof. After passing the imitation tripod and walking towards the building, you will see brackets under the stairs. They are purely decorative and have no flavor of capitals at all. The rest is really unbearable to look at......

Yuejiang Tower overlooks the north and south of the bridge and the bridge. Yuejiang Tower is located on Lion Mountain. There are not many attractions on the mountain, but it was early summer when I went there, and the hydrangeas were in full bloom. Climb up the tower and walk around the tower to enjoy the entire Nanjing city. Compared with other famous towers on the Yangtze River, the commercial atmosphere of Yuejiang Tower is much lighter, and it is suitable for climbing and leisure.

Thanks to the snow in Nanjing, it is a pleasure to come to Yuejiang Tower. My son is so happy to play in the snow. You can see the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge and Nanjing City from a distance when you go up to the tower.

I personally feel that it is not inferior to the Yellow Crane Tower. "A river runs to the sea for thousands of miles, and the two towers have been called for 600 years." This wonderful couplet is the 600-year-old style of Nanjing Yuejiang Tower.

A true portrayal of the vicissitudes of life.

Yuejiang Tower can really see the river, which is very conscientious. Unlike the Yellow Crane Tower, it is far away from the river. Remember that you have to walk up a lot of steps to get to the foot of Yuejiang Tower. It is still nice to see the city scenery from the top of the tower.

By Wang Dake 🤔 |

Personally, I think that if you don't have enough time, you don't need to come to this attraction. One reason is that it is really far away. It takes more than an hour to ride a bike from the Confucius Temple. The second reason is that the scenic area is very small and there is not much scenery. You can only see the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge from a distance.

By ICEBER |

When I arrived in Nanjing, the first thing I did was to take a taxi to the Yangtze River Bridge to see the magnificent Yangtze River. Various scenes described in the textbook poems floated in my mind, but unfortunately it was closed for repairs... The driver recommended me to the Yuejiang Tower, saying that it would be more enjoyable to see there and the experience would be extraordinary. I said yes! Let's go there! I bought a ticket and entered the park. The road was lush and green. Looking at the classical and majestic Yuejiang Tower, I was excited and looking forward to it. Ten minutes later, I arrived at the top of the building and was stunned! What is this... In the distance, there are real estate buildings under construction and factory buildings... Where is the rolling Yangtze River flowing eastward... emm...

It's worth a visit to climb the mountain and see the scenery. It's just that the scenic spot is a bit far from the main urban area. The building is very beautiful and you can see the Yangtze River and the old city in the north of the city.

Lion Rock Yuejiang Tower,

Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, defeated Chen Youliang at Lion Rock, so he decided to build a pavilion on the mountain, named it Yuejiang Tower, and ordered all the civil officials to write an article "Yuejiang Tower Record" (the best article was written by Song Lian, a university scholar, and was later selected into "Guwen Guanzhi"). Later, he suddenly decided to stop the construction. Since then, there has been a record but no pavilion for more than 600 years, until Yuejiang Tower was completed in 2001. The "climbing Yuejiang Tower" mentioned in Wang Yangming's poem at the beginning of the article should also be his imaginary work, which is worthy of the fact that he is listed as a representative figure of ancient Chinese idealism in philosophy textbooks.

Yuejiang Tower is so cool, you can look at the Yangtze River freely from it

By Regular customer |

The name of Yuejiang Tower comes from Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty. He set up an ambush on Lion Mountain and defeated his opponent Chen Youliang, laying the foundation for the Ming Dynasty. Therefore, he decided to build a pavilion here and named it Yuejiang Tower, but the construction was later stopped. It is said that it was inspired by heaven, but in fact it was because of the construction of Nanjing City and Zhongdu Fengyang. The current Yuejiang Tower was built in 2001. It is a reinforced concrete building, which can be regarded as helping Zhu Yuanzhang fulfill a wish.

There is no subway station near this attraction, so you can only take the bus. Take bus No. 21 to Xingzhongmen Station, and walk a few minutes to see the gate of the scenic area. Next to the city gate is the main entrance of the scenic area! Baidu said that this is the best viewing point for overlooking the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, but! But! The day I went there happened to be closed for renovation, so I didn’t go upstairs and didn’t see the Yangtze River Bridge. It was really annoying.

The Yuejiang Tower standing on the bank of the Yangtze River is one of the four famous towers in the south of the Yangtze River. It is a metaphor for enjoying the beauty of the river. The record came first and then the tower.

Walking up the winding stairs, you can see the Yuejiang Tower standing tall.

On the ground floor, the most prominent furnishings are a chair, a wall, and a plaque.

Placed against the wall in front of the golden characters is a "Dragon Throne of Zhu Yuanzhang". Although it is a replica, it is made of top-quality mahogany and weighs more than a thousand pounds.

When I left Yuejiang Tower, it was almost 7 o'clock and the exit was closed, so I exited through a small door in the side passage.

It is one of the four famous towers in the south of the Yangtze River. The difference is that Yueyang Tower, Tengwang Pavilion and Yellow Crane Tower were built before the towers were recorded, but Yuejiang Tower was recorded before the tower was built. Standing on the Yuejiang Tower and overlooking the Yangtze River, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Although it was restored later, you can still imagine what it looked like in ancient times. But the weather was bad and I couldn't see the Yangtze River Bridge clearly.

The ticket is 40 yuan, and the graduate student ID card cannot be used. We went there late, and the gates were closed when we came down. There are not many people in the scenic spot, and you can see the Yangtze River Bridge, but there are many high-rise buildings around, and the view is limited. There is a Tianfei Palace next to it, but it was closed too late, so we didn't go.

Located on a mountain with an altitude of more than 70 meters, you can see the Yangtze River Bridge and the Yangtze River flowing eastward. There are many historical and cultural relics related to the Ming Dynasty and the Forest of Steles in Yuejiang Tower. I highly recommend this place. Yuejiang Tower is located on the east bank of the Yangtze River northwest of Nanjing. Together with Wuhan Yellow Crane Tower, Yueyang Tower in Yueyang, and Nanchang Tengwang Pavilion, it is known as the four famous towers in Jiangnan. Its architecture is very magnificent and just right for photography, so I made an appointment with a girl online to take a Chinese style photo here. Going up the steps, the first thing that comes into view is the stone pillar door engraved with the first famous tower in Jiangnan. The stone pillars on both sides of the door are inscribed with the following couplets: Jiutian Tower Shadow Mansion Morning Flying Thousands of Years River Sound Flow Sunset. Walking through the stone gate, the towering Yuejiang Tower stands in front of you, with green tiles and red pillars, red doors and colorful, and floating clouds surrounding it, as if it is a castle in the sky. Yuejiang Tower was actually not built in ancient times. Yuejiang Tower was originally built during the reign of Zhu Yuanzhang. Later, due to limited financial and human resources, Zhu Yuanzhang had to order the construction to be stopped. As for whether there was a tower afterwards, it is still a controversy. The Yuejiang Tower in front of you was built in 2001. Although it was built in modern times, it is also quite ancient. Standing on the top of the building has a good visual effect, as if you are in the clouds. You can see a corner of the city wall and the ancient temple at the foot of the mountain, as well as the Yangtze River to the northwest and the Yangtze River Bridge on the river. This is the first time I have seen the Yangtze River. Although I can't watch it from a distance, it is still very impressive to look at it from a high place.

Transportation: There is no subway there, you can take a bus to Nanjing West Railway Station

Cost: 40 yuan

This time I went to Nanjing, time was tight, so I went to the Presidential Palace early in the morning and then took a taxi to the Yuejiang Tower. The ticket to the Yuejiang Tower is 40 yuan.

It is not very big, but it is surrounded by an ancient city wall, which has a lot of historical charm. Yuejiang Tower was renovated in 1999. Although it is man-made, it still has a very antique style. The main pillars and eaves of the green tiles are rubbed against the sky, the red curtains are flying, the red doors are colorful, and the carved beams and painted buildings are beautiful. You can see the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge from a high place. The panoramic view of Nanjing is in full view. Everything is so beautiful. You can walk straight ahead without looking to the sides, and you will soon melt into the blue sky and white clouds. It is very artistic. We took a taxi to Xuanwu Lake right after we came out of Yuejiang Tower.

Stop 84: Nanjing’s Yuejiang Tower. AAAA, 40 yuan for admission, no inspection required. Excerpt from the Yuejiang Tower written by Zhu Yuanzhang: “Nanjing is the imperial state. From the Six Dynasties to the Southern Tang, most of them were isolated and unable to respond to the royal aura of the mountains and rivers. When our emperor established his capital here, it was finally possible. Since then, his teachings have spread to the north and south; keep your mind calm and peaceful, and be one with the heavens. Although it was only for a short visit, it can be a model for future generations. There is Lion Mountain in the northwest of the capital, winding from Lulong. The Yangtze River runs through it like a rainbow, winding around it. The emperor ordered the construction of the tower because of its magnificent location; the tower is on the top, so that people can enjoy the view together. So it was named "Yuejiang"." In a word, it is one of the four famous towers in China, and a great place to view the city of Nanjing during the day.

By Xiaoyun |

The Yuejiang Tower was not in our plan, but we still had one more day to play, so we went there happily. We felt it was worth a visit. The public service was so-so because we wanted to have lunch nearby after visiting the attractions. As a foodie, we couldn't find a decent restaurant. This neighborhood seemed to be defined as a remote suburb. We saw a few restaurants with farm dishes, but we were not interested. We had to go back to the city to find food. Although the restaurants were not good, public transportation was still convenient. There were many buses about 1 kilometer from the exit, and it took about 35 minutes to get to the Xinjiekou neighborhood.

I would like to share the scenery of Yuejiang Tower: it is one of the four famous towers together with Yueyang Tower, Yellow Crane Tower and Tengwang Pavilion. The scenery is good when you climb to the top floor and look out from the railing. You can see the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge that I have always wanted to see, but it is too high and the wind is very strong, so I dare not stay for a long time. There are also many contents in the tower, including exhibitions of famous calligraphers and painters of the Ming Dynasty, famous scientists, portraits of emperors of the Ming Dynasty, and brief biographies, which increase and deepen the understanding of this dynasty. In addition, the highest point of Lion Mountain where Yuejiang Tower is located, I don’t know if it is for this reason, there is a small stone lion on each stone pillar of the stone railings in the entire Yuejiang Tower scenic area, with different shapes and very cute. The whole building is magnificent and worth a visit.

Yuejiang Tower is the fourth most famous tower in Jiangnan after Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan, Yueyang Tower in Yueyang, and Tengwang Pavilion in Nanchang. Yuejiang Tower and the three famous towers above are the four most distinctive famous towers in China. The characteristics of Yuejiang Tower are: first, it is high, with a mountain height of 78 meters, a tower height of 52 meters, and a total height of more than 130 meters, making it the tallest famous tower; second, it is exquisite, with meticulous workmanship and intricate carvings everywhere, and it is extremely gorgeous; third, it is rich in connotation, with many historical and cultural accumulations, leaving behind the footprints and works of many historical celebrities; fourth, it is royal, because only Nanjing has produced 26 emperors from ten surnames, and the buildings here are all built according to the emperor's specifications.

One of the four famous towers in China, it is not a historic site. The building is newly built and looks very new, and of course it is magnificent. In general, it is a good place to climb up and overlook the Yangtze River and Nanjing City. You can see the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge.

Yuejiang Tower was built by the river. Although it was built by later generations, it is historically proven. Climbing up the Yuejiang Tower, you can have a panoramic view of the Yangtze River, the city wall, and the river.

Yuejiang Tower is not an ancient building! It was built in recent years. So it doesn't have much significance from the perspective of ancient buildings, but it is still worth exploring from a literary perspective. According to legend, Zhu Yuanzhang wanted to build Yuejiang Tower at the beginning, and he specially asked all the court officials to write an article "Yuejiang Tower Record" to select the best one for appreciation. Later, the article was written but the construction was delayed. Only the foundation was built and then the construction was stopped... Now this building is built on Shizi Mountain. You have to climb a flight of stairs to get up. The slope is gentler from the east gate. The Ming City Wall surrounds Lion Rock for a week, which is very ancient.

It's very ordinary. You can't see the river view when you stand on it. That's it.

There are two ways to get to Yuejiang Tower, one is to climb the mountain, the other is to take the escalator up the mountain, each person costs 10 yuan. The architecture of Yuejiang Tower is very beautiful and very suitable for taking pictures on a sunny day.

Standing on Lion Mountain in the northwest corner of the ancient city of Nanjing, it leans against the Yangtze River. In the early Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang and a group of university scholars wrote "Yuejiang Tower Records" and selected a site to start construction, but due to various reasons, only the foundation was laid. It was not until the beginning of the new millennium that the plan was officially completed. Go up the mountain on the east side, pass by Ruan Xian Pavilion and Sun Yat-sen Guanjiang Pavilion, and come to the white marble Yuejiang Tower Records Monument, which is bright and dazzling. As the youngest of the four famous towers in Jiangnan, it is L-shaped with the main building and the auxiliary building, and a double-eaved pavilion is built on the other side, which complements each other. The entire building has a delicate appearance, gorgeous colors, and ingenious brackets and eaves. The main building has seven floors, three open and four hidden, with a thousand-jin dragon chair, a huge porcelain painting of Zheng He's voyage to the West, a hundred lions table and double-sided embroidery of the four famous towers. The giant caisson is amazing. The highest floor can overlook the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge and the scenery in Nanjing. Go down the mountain on the west side, detour from the ancient city wall of Lion Mountain all the way to Yifeng Gate, and you can also visit Jinghai Temple and Tianfei Palace at the foot of the mountain.

I went there on the way after visiting Pukou Station. I originally just wanted to find a high place to see the city scenery of Nanjing, but I didn't expect this place to be so unexpectedly pleasant.

One of the four famous towers, classmates all say this place is great, I also think it is worth a visit, surrounded by the ancient city wall, you can overlook the whole city of Nanjing from the top of the tower

Yuejiang Tower is located at the top of Lion Mountain in Xiaguan, Gulou District, Nanjing. It stands on the bank of the Yangtze River, drinking in the clouds and swallowing the mist. It is one of the top ten cultural towers in China and one of the four famous towers in the south of the Yangtze River.

In the spring of the seventh year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1374), Emperor Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang issued an edict to build a pavilion on Lion Mountain in the northwest of Nanjing, the capital of the country. He personally wrote "Yuejiang Tower Record" and ordered all the civil officials in the court to write a "Yuejiang Tower Record". Among them, the one written by the Grand Secretary Song Lian was the best and was later selected into "Gu Wen Guan Zhi". After the foundation of the Yuejiang Tower was leveled and completed, Emperor Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang suddenly decided to stop the construction. It was not until the end of the last century that the proposal to rebuild the "Yuejiang Tower" was decided and received responses from all walks of life. In 1997, the Nanjing Municipal Government officially approved the construction of the Yuejiang Tower, and it was not until September 2001 that the Yuejiang Tower was officially completed. From then on, the history of "there is a record but no tower" ended.

So in fact, the entire Yuejiang Tower was newly built by later generations based on historical records~~~

From the Yuejiang Building, you can see the scenery outside and the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge.

I have always wanted to visit the famous Yuejiang Tower! It is a magnificent building with a view of the Yangtze River from the rooftop. However, it was very windy when I went there, so I only stayed there for a while before going downstairs! I did not regret going to the Yuejiang Tower! :D

One of the four famous buildings in Jiangnan, I have visited three of them. Yuejiang Building is probably the best one. There is a golden dragon caisson on the top of the building, which is worth seeing. Recommended

This is Yuejiang Tower, one of the "Four Famous Towers in Jiangnan".

Zhu Yuanzhang had just finished laying the foundation for the construction, but then ordered to stop the construction of the "masterpiece" that our great dynasty had helped him build in 2001.

The reason I put this picture up is not because it is beautiful nor because of the beautiful scenery.

I just want to say that if you plan to travel to Nanjing, you don’t need to add it.

Because netizens said that you can see the beautiful scenery of the Yangtze River Bridge, but I didn’t see it.

Moreover, this building is newly built and not a historical site.

It is one of the top ten cultural towers in China and the four famous towers in the south of the Yangtze River. It is also the main attraction of Nanjing Yuejiang Tower Scenic Area, a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, and one of the 48 scenic spots of New Jinling.

Yuejiang Tower means "viewing the beauty of the river". It is 52 meters high, with four outer floors and three hidden floors, a total of seven floors. It has green tiles and red pillars, eaves and flying red curtains, and colorful red doors. It has a distinct classical royal style and is a typical Ming Dynasty royal architectural style. The total construction area is over 5,000 square meters.

In the spring of the seventh year of Ming Hongwu (1374), Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang issued an edict to start building a pavilion on Lion Mountain northwest of Nanjing, the capital. Yuejiang Tower is not high, but you can overlook the city of Jinling. I encountered the Jesus light on the day I went there, and the photos I took were so beautiful~

Nanjing Yuejiang Tower, Wuhan Yellow Crane Tower, Yueyang Tower in Yueyang, and Nanchang Tengwang Pavilion are collectively known as the four famous towers in the south of the Yangtze River. The ticket price of 40 yuan seems a bit expensive, but fortunately, during the Spring Festival, I bought the ticket online for 15 yuan, which is quite cost-effective! You can see the Yangtze River Bridge from the tower. You must go when the weather is good, otherwise you can only see it like me.

A funny imitation of an ancient building built by the current government according to the idea of Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang of the Ming Dynasty. But it is good to have a high position and overlook the city of Nanjing.

By walk slowly |

4A grade, very average. The smog in Nanjing makes it impossible to see the Yangtze River and the bridge. There is no subway nearby. I took the subway line 3 to Wutang Square, and then took bus line 53 to the area near Yuejiang Tower. It is just a small hill with a building. It is very average.

Built in 1992 according to Zhu Yuanzhang's article, it is a building that was built after the text and is one of the four famous buildings on the Yangtze River.

Yuejiang Tower is majestic and magnificent, very nice. The interior decoration is also good. Overall, I feel that there is nothing to do. If you go, you can play Lion Mountain, Yuejiang Tower, Hydrangea Garden and Xiaotao Garden together. It takes half a day to solve it.

By maya |

You can see it from the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge. It is very beautiful. The key is that there are not many people, so it is very pleasant to play. It is a modern rebuilt building, but this does not hinder its beauty. The mountain is not high, so you won’t feel tired when climbing it.

One of the four famous towers in the south of the Yangtze River, it is as famous as the Tengwang Pavilion in Nanchang, Jiangxi, the Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan, Hubei, and the Yueyang Tower in Yueyang, Hunan. A must-see attraction for overlooking the Yangtze River and appreciating the full view of Jinling

By Close yet distant |

It is a worthwhile place to visit. You can see the Yangtze River Bridge and Nanjing city from a high place. However, the transportation is inconvenient. We took a taxi when we went there, and waited for a long time for a taxi when we came back. We live in Confucius Temple, and there is no direct bus. We have to transfer, which takes more than an hour, so I still recommend taking a taxi.

It's a little far from the central city, but it's worth the trip! The weather was great that day, with blue sky and white clouds! In short, it's a scenic spot worth visiting.
