Tiger Hill Scenic Area is located in the northwest corner of the ancient city of Suzhou. It has a long history of more than 2,500 years and is known as "the first scenic spot in Wuzhong" and "the first mountain in Wuzhong".



Taking Tiger Hill as the finale of my trip to Suzhou and even my tour of the three places in the south of the Yangtze River was an excellent choice that exceeded my expectations.

Su Dongpo, a great poet of the Song Dynasty, wrote down the famous saying, "I once said that if you pass by Gusu and don't visit Tiger Hill or Luqiu, you will be lacking in two things."

Now that I have actually seen Tiger Hill, I know that what Su Dongpo said is true and its reputation as a famous scenic spot is well-deserved.

There are mountains, the sea surges up the mountains, there are springs, the third spring,

There is a stone, the sword-testing stone, and there is a pond, the sword pond.

There is a tower, Tiger Hill Tower, and there is a garden, Yixie Garden.

Just by going to Tiger Hill, you can see many scenic spots. Although we can't say that it is a culmination of all the scenery, it is still enough to make people praise it.

Over the past ten days, I have enjoyed the elegance and beauty of beautiful scenery in various places. Tiger Hill, the last stop, is no less impressive and has its own unique features.

The scenery of Tiger Hill is as its name suggests, resolute and hardcore, with the domineering and hidden power of a tiger.

Tiger Hill is not high, with an altitude of 34.3 meters. It is a 5A scenic spot suitable for all ages. We chose to visit from the South Gate to the North Gate.

Get off at the Huqiu bus station and walk north along Huqiu Road. Although you haven’t reached the Huqiu Scenic Area yet, the scenic spot has actually been opened.

It is said that Suzhou is most famous for its gardens. You will miss something if you don’t visit the gardens. However, my favorite is Tiger Hill. There is no reason for this liking. The best time to appreciate the beauty of Tiger Hill is probably the end of November or the beginning of December. The leaves in the south turn red later, which is a typical late autumn. Visiting the first scenic spot in Wudong at this time will give you a different feeling.

[Jianchi]: There are countless mysteries and legends about it. If Suzhou is a mystery city, Jianchi is the mystery pool. But it is indeed the infinite scenery that attracts me. This mysterious pool is like a veil slowly unveiled by tourists. I think it is the most attractive scenery of Tiger Hill. If you have not been there in person, you cannot tell how it feels to you. The exquisite scenery is like Mudu and Zhouzhuang, but it is not as quiet as Taihu West Mountain. To be honest, if you don't have a lot of money, time, and physical strength, don't come here to join in the fun. Don't be fooled by Lao Su's words that it would be a pity if you come to Suzhou but don't come to Tiger Hill. He came here as a leader to inspect the work that year. The whole hospital was cleared and accompanied by professional tour guides. You can come as you feel comfortable. Of course, you can see one scene at a time and feel happy. If we go now, we won't see one scene at a time, but hundreds of people at a time, and we have to endure the dislike of the scenic area staff.

If you arrive here after 8 o'clock, don't go to the gardens on the first day. You have to queue for an hour! Tiger Hill is not crowded, recommended! I went there during the Spring Festival, and there were not many people.

So I turned back and changed the road, from Xixi Huancui to Yunzai Chaxiang. There are few people on this road. The koi in the pond are big and fat. Thousands of green bamboos make the summer heat disappear. A rockery and flowing spring make the children linger. We played in the water here until 10:30 and left reluctantly. If you have free time, it would be nice to play more in Tiger Hill.
