🎈There are not many people in Zhouzhuang in the off-season. Looking out from the balcony on the second floor of the inn, my mood becomes great, although it is still drizzling. The home-cooked dishes of Zhouzhuang for dinner are probably my favorite delicacy of this trip. The uncle who said he would write a poem based on his name, the old lady who sewed by herself, walked in the alley with an umbrella, the raindrops hit my umbrella, and when I looked back, the old lady smiled knowingly.

🎈We shuttled through different alleys, the night gradually fell, the boatman rowed rhythmically, the blue-roofed boat swam in the creek, the sky continued to darken, the warm street lights were lit one after another, and we could faintly hear singing from the bar block, the moss-covered walls, the reflections of the houses on both sides of the river, the shadows of the branches projected on the wall through the street lights, the sky was completely dark, and Zhouzhuang was as beautiful as a painting.

🎈We sat in the boat, the boat was shaking, but it felt like the ancients crossing the river by boat. The boatman even suggested singing folk songs. The two night lights in front of the boat flickered in the drizzle. There were few boats, the willows on both sides were swaying, everything was quiet, and the sound of the raindrops hitting the boat was so clear

🎈Wandering around Zhouzhuang for a long time, it was time to leave in the blink of an eye. On the way back to the inn, I met an auntie selling grandma's tea. The smell was very fragrant. Hmm, this is the taste of Zhouzhuang.

🎈In the continuous spring rain in the south of the Yangtze River, I spent my time in Zhouzhuang, with long streets and winding alleys, quaint stone arch bridges, long slate streets and ancient houses, water, wall gates and clear and lingering flowing water.

🎈Sanmao said that Zhouzhuang can only be described as unforgettable, and it is true. When Sanmao came to Zhouzhuang, her smile, her linen dress, and her long black hair were still as beautiful as ever.

🎀Buy tickets directly at the visitor center. There is no online purchase because if you don't buy tickets in advance, there will be a time limit if you buy them on site. You need to wait enough time. If you don't want to wait, just buy a ticket and go in. If you want to enter and exit multiple times, you need to go through the three-day free entry and exit procedures on the left hand side of the entrance. Take a photo on the spot and print your photo on the ticket. In this way, you can enter and exit at will. Otherwise, as long as you leave the scenic area, the ticket will be invalid and you can't enter!

🎀Of course, you can come and go freely after the scenic area managers get off work at night. Many people choose to enter the ancient town in the morning before the scenic area managers go to work. There is no ticket restriction during this time period, but the typical waterside houses in the ancient town require tickets to enter.

⚠Remember to get a paper map at the visitor center. Following the map in the ancient town can save you a lot of time, but the fun of the trip may be slightly reduced.

🎀After entering the gate of the scenic area, there are shops selling various small commodities on both sides, with large and small, colorful paper umbrellas hanging on them. Going straight ahead is the combination of lanterns in the water town, which should be nice when lit up at night!

🎀On the left side of the intersection is the iconic stone tablet of the first water town. Many tourists take their first photo here when they visit Zhouzhuang, so queuing for photos is the norm.

🎀The night view of Zhouzhuang is very beautiful! The alleys are dotted with colorful lights, and there is water mist spraying on both sides of the river. It feels very magical, just like traveling through time! There are not many tourists, and we strolled in the streets and alleys.

🔸100 yuan per person before 19:00💰 in Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, free entry after 19:00, but you can't enter the town's museums. There are many homestays in Zhouzhuang, most of which are 200-300 yuan. The advantage of staying in Zhouzhuang is that you can continue to visit without tickets the next morning. As "China's No. 1 Water Town", Zhouzhuang's night view is still very beautiful. There is a "Four Seasons Zhouzhuang" performance from summer to mid-November every year. It is worth seeing according to the reviews. It was cold in December and the performance was suspended, which was a little regrettable~

🔸There is a scenic spot called "Pinghu Qiuyue" inside. You must come at night. The artificial smoke looks like a fairyland, and there is a fairy wand with a number of XXXXXXl glowing. The light and shadow keep changing. There is also a wishing tree next to it. It feels like a combination of Sailor Moon and the 1986 version of Journey to the West. 🔸Zhouzhuang's "Double Bridges" made Zhouzhuang famous overseas. The double bridges in Chen Yifei's "Memories of Hometown" were once selected as the United Nations' first day cover! ⚠The noodles in the scenic area are 20 yuan a bowl and taste really average. Just order a bowl and take pictures. The so-called Wansan noodles are noodles with Wansan pig's trotters. There is only one piece of meat. The taste is far worse than the Wansan pig's trotters I had yesterday! Just at the exit of Zhouzhuang Scenic Area, I caught a show at 10:20. Today's Kunqu opera is "Tiger's Nang Danshanmen". The marquee will scroll the subtitles, so don't worry about not understanding it.

⚠It is not recommended to take a boat in the scenic area. It costs 150💰 a boat during the day and can seat 6 people. You can go to the dock to find others to share. I couldn't help but take a boat, but it was really boring, the time was short and the scenery was not good. It is better to take a walk by yourself at night. The scenery is beautiful! The small noodle restaurant outside the scenic area, 25💰 a bowl is much better than the one in the scenic area.

The ticket from the bus station next to Shanghai Railway Station to Zhouzhuang Bus Station is more than 30 yuan, and it takes more than an hour. It is best to leave Zhouzhuang at night and stay in Zhouzhuang. Get up early to take pictures. After 8:30, Zhouzhuang is occupied by tour groups.

Zhouzhuang is free at night, the key is to enjoy the night view, but the indoor attractions such as Shen Hall and Zhang Hall are closed. If you want to enjoy the night view like us, it is also a good choice. Rowing on the water has a unique charm. If you pay extra, the rowing sister can sing a Jiangnan tune.

Moreover, it is not cheap to buy Zhang Hall and Shen Hall alone. The only famous free attractions there are Shen Wansan's Water Tomb and Shuangqiao... So it is quite cost-effective to buy the pass.

I came to Zhouzhuang for the second time after 10 years and had a very bad impression. It takes more than an hour to walk from the parking lot to the entrance of the scenic spot. The Jiangnan water town that I've been thinking about is finally here for the National Day holiday. I love the small bridges, flowing water, and houses with blue tiles and white walls. It takes about an hour to get there by bus from Guanqian Street, and then take bus 261. Because I like it and for the occasion, I bought a long skirt. Today's temperature of 27 degrees is just right. I went there once, with a tour group to Zhouzhuang Water Village. In my memory, Zhouzhuang is an ancient town and a water village. It was really unexpected to go there, because it was really quiet. I mainly want to say that if you are departing from Suzhou, don't buy bus tickets on Ctrip or other websites. I couldn't get the bus ticket at the ticket office of Suzhou North Bus Station. The website showed that it was from Suzhou to Zhouzhuang campus, but I didn't know where it was. The ticket office attendant said that I could buy tickets directly at the window and buy the Zhouzhuang tourist line. The ticket plus insurance for two people cost 40 yuan in total. I suggested that I listen to her and buy the Zhouzhuang ticket and cruise package for 100 yuan. The scenic spot ticket plus the scenic spot cruise. During the National Day, it was delivered to Zhouzhuang Station. You have to walk to the scenic spot for about one kilometer and take a taxi. There will be traffic jams. If you want to return to nature, then go to an undeveloped place! I experienced a rowing boat. The two sides were too noisy, and our small wooden boat was out of tune with the noise on both sides! Zhouzhuang Ancient Town is the earliest developed of the six ancient towns in Jiangnan. It was first known by Han Han's novel "Triple Door". However, you must be mentally prepared for the large number of people here. It is not recommended to go there in summer. However, the night view of Zhouzhuang is very good, so you must wait for the best time.

Zhouzhuang brings us spiritual cleansing and inner peace. It is simple and peaceful, without the hustle and bustle of the city. It is gentle and delicate. Small bridges, flowing water, and houses, simple buildings are connected by the water, and boats are in groups of three or two on the river. In Zhouzhuang, walking has become a kind of practice. The night view of Zhouzhuang may not have been planned in a unified way, and there are not many light strips at night. In terms of LCD, the planned Wuzhen West Gate is better! In other words, it looks beautiful at night, but it looks very strange during the day. The misty weather and the white walls and black tiles are really pleasing to the eye! The small scenes in the house show the attention of Jiangnan people to details and interest. Compared with the clear sky, I always feel that the rainy weather is more suitable for the water town. I just want to know how to rate it 5 stars, what are the standards. The ancient town is full of things for sale, and the quality of the merchants is uneven. The children looked at the toys for a few more times and said they didn't want to buy them or look at them. Some merchants kept pushing you inside to blow the fan, and their attitude was very good.

Scenery: It's just a restaurant, a bridge, and a strange building. You need to pay 30 yuan to enter. I didn't go. The restaurant has become a trend of soliciting customers. There is a family raising birds, which are released in the river. I wanted to take pictures, but they said that they would not allow it if I didn't eat. Otherwise, it's 10 yuan. You said when I should eat at 10:30.

The only small regret is that I didn't take a picture of the double bridges at night. Because I was too tired to walk when I arrived in Zhouzhuang that night... I also took a small boat in Zhouzhuang~ It was very relaxing to rock and roll.

The building is quite historic and small in size, so you can just walk around it for a while. There is a photo studio inside that is quite special, but I don’t remember much else.

China's No. 1 water town, with narrow rivers and long alleys. This is my second time to Zhouzhuang. The first time was in the winter of 2016. Although the scenery in winter is not as good as in summer, I have to say that there are very few tourists in Zhouzhuang in winter, and it is quieter in comparison. It is a typical and representative Jiangnan water town with a lot of people. There will be a map on the ticket you buy, which contains all kinds of food or specialties. The pig's trotter is sweet, hehe. I stayed in Zhouzhuang for about 13 days. I felt very comfortable and lazy. If I go there again, I will not choose to paint. I will take a good walk, drink a cup of coffee, take beautiful photos, and listen to the singing of the sister rowing the boat.

Not far away, you can see trumpet creepers. The trumpet creepers here have a different style, with the gentle atmosphere of a water town, gentle and tender, with slender vines. Although the style is different, it is also very charming, adding a lot of color to the ink-and-wash architecture~

There are two important scenic spots in Zhouzhuang, Zhang Hall and Shen Hall. Other than that, the others are some uninteresting small scenic spots. Basically, after visiting Zhang Hall and Shen Hall, you can leisurely stroll around and eat in Zhouzhuang.

On the river, there are always women rowing boats and singing folk songs to take tourists by. They look beautiful when they sing, and their expressions are always happy, intoxicated, and free of worries. I wanted to take pictures of their smiles several times, but the moment I picked up the camera, the boat had already quietly passed by. The appearance of the rowing women under the big hat brim and their cheerful singing can only remain in my memory.

When I came here, many stores sold rice wine. I used to think that rice wine was fermented glutinous rice, but today it seems different. It was my first time tasting it. It was sweet, with a strong rice aroma, but a light taste of wine. I think it should be considered a beverage. It's delicious.

When you come to Zhouzhuang, you can see Wansan pig's trotters everywhere. It can be regarded as a special snack. Three dishes, half a Wansan pig's trotter, steamed fish, and stir-fried water spinach. The amount of food is just right, very delicious, and the plate is clean!

It takes about ten minutes to walk from Zhouzhuang Bus Station to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town. In fact, I personally think walking is a good choice, and you can enjoy the surrounding scenery and characteristics.

The price of a human-powered tricycle is 3 yuan per vehicle. You need to explain the route and price. Sometimes the driver will take tourists around the ancient town and then increase the price. Don't believe some tricycle drivers who say they can take you to the scenic area for free.

Day ticket: 100 yuan ticket, valid for the day (08:00-16:00)

Night ticket: NT$80 (16:00-21:00)

Zhouzhuang has a wide variety of delicacies and seafood all year round, the most famous of which are the "Three Delicacies of Xianjiang": sea bass, white clams, and whitebait. Zhouzhuang also produces eels. The proverb "eels are as good as ginseng when rice is ripe" is well known. The pickled amaranth and green rice balls, specialties of Jiangnan, are also very popular among tourists. Pastries and cooked food include sesame cakes, peanut cakes, walnut cakes, salt and pepper cakes, green cakes, etc. There are also tea dishes such as pickled vegetable tips.

I had not heard much about Zhouzhuang Ancient Town before, probably because it was overshadowed by the fame of Wuzhen and Xitang. It was only when I arrived in Suzhou and Hangzhou that I realized that Zhouzhuang was no less famous than the other two ancient towns.
