By Ten Miles of Spring Breeze Is Not as Good as You |

🎈It was pouring rain on the day I came to Zhouzhuang🌧. I walked along the long plank road and saw the lake and the bridge. There were no high buildings, only white walls and black tiles, a small river and sparse trees. Some people always say that the ancient towns nowadays are very similar, but in fact, no matter how they change, each ancient town has its own unique charm waiting to be discovered.

🎈There are not many people in Zhouzhuang in the off-season. Looking out from the balcony on the second floor of the inn, my mood becomes great, although it is still drizzling. The home-cooked dishes of Zhouzhuang for dinner are probably my favorite delicacy of this trip. The uncle who said he would write a poem based on his name, the old lady who sewed by herself, walked in the alley with an umbrella, the raindrops hit my umbrella, and when I looked back, the old lady smiled knowingly.

🎈We shuttled through different alleys, the night gradually fell, the boatman rowed rhythmically, the blue-roofed boat swam in the creek, the sky continued to darken, the warm street lights were lit one after another, and we could faintly hear singing from the bar block, the moss-covered walls, the reflections of the houses on both sides of the river, the shadows of the branches projected on the wall through the street lights, the sky was completely dark, and Zhouzhuang was as beautiful as a painting.

🎈We sat in the boat, the boat was shaking, but it felt like the ancients crossing the river by boat. The boatman even suggested singing folk songs. The two night lights in front of the boat flickered in the drizzle. There were few boats, the willows on both sides were swaying, everything was quiet, and the sound of the raindrops hitting the boat was so clear

🎈My impression of Zhouzhuang before coming here was still from Zhao Lihong's article "Water Charm of Zhouzhuang". Later, I also learned about Zhouzhuang from Mr. Wu Guanzhong's experience. He said, "I have seen many water towns, but none of them is as beautiful as this one."

🌻There is a kind of life called Zhouzhuang🌻

🎈Wandering around Zhouzhuang for a long time, it was time to leave in the blink of an eye. On the way back to the inn, I met an auntie selling grandma's tea. The smell was very fragrant. Hmm, this is the taste of Zhouzhuang.

🎈In the continuous spring rain in the south of the Yangtze River, I spent my time in Zhouzhuang, with long streets and winding alleys, quaint stone arch bridges, long slate streets and ancient houses, water, wall gates and clear and lingering flowing water.

🎈Sanmao said that Zhouzhuang can only be described as unforgettable, and it is true. When Sanmao came to Zhouzhuang, her smile, her linen dress, and her long black hair were still as beautiful as ever.

🎀Buy tickets directly at the visitor center. There is no online purchase because if you don't buy tickets in advance, there will be a time limit if you buy them on site. You need to wait enough time. If you don't want to wait, just buy a ticket and go in. If you want to enter and exit multiple times, you need to go through the three-day free entry and exit procedures on the left hand side of the entrance. Take a photo on the spot and print your photo on the ticket. In this way, you can enter and exit at will. Otherwise, as long as you leave the scenic area, the ticket will be invalid and you can't enter!

🎀Of course, you can come and go freely after the scenic area managers get off work at night. Many people choose to enter the ancient town in the morning before the scenic area managers go to work. There is no ticket restriction during this time period, but the typical waterside houses in the ancient town require tickets to enter.

⚠Remember to get a paper map at the visitor center. Following the map in the ancient town can save you a lot of time, but the fun of the trip may be slightly reduced.

🎫Tickets include: Shen Hall, Zhang Hall, Chengxu Taoist Temple, Maze Tower, Ye Chucang's Former Residence, Zhouzhuang Museum, Ancient Theater, Paper Box King Creative Park, Nanhu Autumn Moon Garden, Ruan Yisan Studio, Yifei's House, God of Wealth Residence, Tianxiaode Folk Collection Museum.

🎀In addition to the attractions included in these tickets, there are some that are not included in the tickets but are also free to visit, such as the Plum Garden in the ancient town and the Strange Building, which are charged. These are all things we need to explore on our own. So following the map route does not necessarily mean walking through the entire Zhouzhuang Ancient Town!

🎀After entering the gate of the scenic area, there are shops selling various small commodities on both sides, with large and small, colorful paper umbrellas hanging on them. Going straight ahead is the combination of lanterns in the water town, which should be nice when lit up at night!

🎀On the left side of the intersection is the iconic stone tablet of the first water town. Many tourists take their first photo here when they visit Zhouzhuang, so queuing for photos is the norm.

🎀Go further in, there is a big store called Paper Box King on the left, and a bridge on the right. There are some small shops across the bridge. There are bluestone roads, small bridges, flowing water and houses in all directions. It really feels like you have arrived in the water village of Jiangnan.

🎀Here, you can’t just keep moving forward. There’s a scene with every step. Sometimes looking back may be a new scene.

🎀A reminder: Zhouzhuang is full of old bluestone roads. If you live in the scenic area, there is no luggage pick-up service, so it is recommended not to bring too much or too heavy luggage or suitcases for a short trip. It is really tiring to carry them in by yourself!

🎀The night view of Zhouzhuang is very beautiful! The alleys are dotted with colorful lights, and there is water mist spraying on both sides of the river. It feels very magical, just like traveling through time! There are not many tourists, and we strolled in the streets and alleys.

🔸100 yuan per person before 19:00💰 in Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, free entry after 19:00, but you can't enter the town's museums. There are many homestays in Zhouzhuang, most of which are 200-300 yuan. The advantage of staying in Zhouzhuang is that you can continue to visit without tickets the next morning. As "China's No. 1 Water Town", Zhouzhuang's night view is still very beautiful. There is a "Four Seasons Zhouzhuang" performance from summer to mid-November every year. It is worth seeing according to the reviews. It was cold in December and the performance was suspended, which was a little regrettable~

🔸There is a scenic spot called "Pinghu Qiuyue" inside. You must come at night. The artificial smoke looks like a fairyland, and there is a fairy wand with a number of XXXXXXl glowing. The light and shadow keep changing. There is also a wishing tree next to it. It feels like a combination of Sailor Moon and the 1986 version of Journey to the West. "The moon prism is powerful and transformed. Take my stick!"

🔸Zhouzhuang's "Double Bridges" made Zhouzhuang famous overseas. The double bridges in Chen Yifei's "Memories of Hometown" were once selected as the United Nations' first day cover! So the next morning, while there were still few tourists in the ancient town, I took some photos of the double bridges~

⚠The noodles in the scenic area are 20 yuan a bowl and taste really average. Just order a bowl and take pictures. The so-called Wansan noodles are noodles with Wansan pig's trotters. There is only one piece of meat. The taste is far worse than the Wansan pig's trotters I had yesterday! Just at the exit of Zhouzhuang Scenic Area, I caught a show at 10:20. Today's Kunqu opera is "Tiger's Nang Danshanmen". The marquee will scroll the subtitles, so don't worry about not understanding it.

⚠It is not recommended to take a boat in the scenic area. It costs 150💰 a boat during the day and can seat 6 people. You can go to the dock to find others to share. I couldn't help but take a boat, but it was really boring, the time was short and the scenery was not good. It is better to take a walk by yourself at night. The scenery is beautiful! The small noodle restaurant outside the scenic area, 25💰 a bowl is much better than the one in the scenic area.

The noodles are chewy, with rich toppings, and the taste is salty instead of the sweet Jiangsu flavor one might imagine.

💰100 yuan pass, valid for the day. If you need to enter the town multiple times and need to take photos at the ticket gate, the ticket can be used multiple times and the validity period will be extended to 3 days. It is recommended that you must take photos, because if you are not careful, you will walk out!

🍥There are more than a dozen attractions on the ticket for Zhouzhuang, only Zhang Hall, Shen Hall and Quanfu Temple have ticket inspections, and the rest are small in scale and can be visited at will. Visit Zhouzhuang Museum, visit Zhang Hall, visit Shen Hall; go to Shen Sanwan's former residence to take a look, these are the places and things to do when you go to Zhouzhuang.

🍥There are no withered vines, old trees or crows, only small bridges, flowing water and houses. A picture of peace and tranquility in the south of the Yangtze River slowly unfolds. Take a leisurely stroll in the town, the quietness in the early morning and the hustle and bustle at night, which one do you like?

🍥Night cruise is a must-try in Zhouzhuang. 💰150 yuan/boat, can accommodate up to six people. We shared a boat with others. Rafting on the water, a big sister in a blue cloth flowered jacket stood at the stern, slowly swaying the creaking oars, listening to her singing the Jiangnan tune in Wu Nong's soft dialect, the gray tiles and white walls on both sides passed by one by one, retaining the vicissitudes of the ancient town after thousands of years. For a moment, you can feel the unique charm of this water town.

Regarding the issue of buying bus tickets from Suzhou to Zhouzhuang: I recommend the Bus Butler APP, which is very convenient to book tickets, and the handling fee is cheaper than that of a certain trip. The address for the Suzhou-Zhouzhuang bus outbound ticket selection: Suzhou North Bus Station and Suzhou North Square Bus Station both have buses to Zhouzhuang (many flights), and the departure station should be selected according to which station is closer to the accommodation; the destination should be selected: Kunshan Zhouzhuang (that is, Zhouzhuang Bus Station), and do not choose Zhouzhuang Campus. The only destination for buying bus tickets on a certain trip is Zhouzhuang Campus, which is farther from Zhouzhuang Ancient Town than Zhouzhuang Bus Station. The return trip selection: Zhouzhuang Bus Station-Suzhou North Bus Station or Suzhou North Square Bus Station. After the bus arrives at Zhouzhuang Bus Station, you can take the bus to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, which is very convenient.

Yesterday due to time constraints

I couldn't go to Zhouzhuang to have a look👀

So I booked today's ticket🎫

Fortunately, there aren't too many people.

You can feel the tranquility alone

This kind of silence seems to have no sound🔊

Not so much noise

No chaotic downtown

Saw a lot of local elderly people🧓

This is the real waterside life.

Bad review! The water quality in the town is very poor, and some places are smelly. I bought a combined ticket at the bus station in the north square of Suzhou Railway Station, but I was ripped off. I realized that it was best to buy a bus ticket + a cruise around the town + a ticket when I got on the cruise around the town, which was only more than 110 yuan. I realized after entering the scenic area that the various paid attractions inside were not interesting and not worth visiting. Or you can go in at different times and wait until people get off work at night, and then go in without a ticket. I don't want to say too much, it's just bad and not worth coming.

Zhouzhuang is known as "China's No. 1 Water Town". It is one of the six ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River and the earliest commercialized ancient town. Traveling in the off-season, you will encounter the quiet Zhouzhuang, where you can safely shuttle through the ancient town without bustling crowds or groups of tourist groups. You can play with cats and dogs, drink coffee, and wander around aimlessly. This experience is more memorable than the beautiful scenery.

By Super Jing Jing Jing ✨ |

If you go in during the daytime working hours, the ticket is 100 yuan, otherwise you have to wait until 6 o'clock. These ancient towns are surrounded by waterways, and where there are waterways there must be bridges. There are small ticket inspection houses at each entrance and exit of the bridge, which makes it very difficult to find the way. I tried several routes but failed, so I just waited until the end of the day.

We waited at the entrance of the scenic area and watched the staff leave one after another at the end of the working day. Now we could enter without anyone noticing. What surprised me the most was that the ancient town was really deserted with few tourists. There were also several alleys where all the shops were closed. When we walked into some more remote alleys, it was pitch black and scary. There was a gloomy atmosphere. Why is the legendary "First Water Town in Jiangnan" like this... If I hadn't been with my husband, I wouldn't dare to walk alone at night.

Zhouzhuang is smaller than I thought. I just walked through a few alleys at night and that was enough for me...

Complaint, Zhouzhuang really doesn't deserve the title of "No. 1 Water Town" at all~

The ticket from the bus station next to Shanghai Railway Station to Zhouzhuang Bus Station is more than 30 yuan, and it takes more than an hour. There are buses from Zhouzhuang Bus Station to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, with a ticket of one yuan, and it takes ten minutes to reach Zhouzhuang Ancient Town. The full ticket for the ancient town is 100 yuan. I have a student ID and only spent 50 yuan. There are several attractions that require additional payment. Zhouzhuang Ancient Town is a place with rich historical and cultural heritage.

Having been to ancient towns such as Wuzhen, Xitang, Tongli, Pingyao, Lijiang, and Dali, I find that people in the north generally prefer ancient towns in the south. The biggest problem with Zhouzhuang is that it is too commercialized. Putting this aside, Zhouzhuang is definitely a very pleasing place. You have to walk around aimlessly in the early morning or late at night to truly understand the beauty of Zhouzhuang. I stayed in Zhouzhuang for three days, and usually went out during the day. I personally think that the most beautiful Zhouzhuang can only be seen in the early morning.

By Middle-aged Ning Caichen |

There is a light show in the scenic area at night, which ends at 22:00 every night. After putting down the luggage, I rushed into the night immediately. Although I couldn't tell east from west, south from north, I couldn't miss this last hour. There was a lake in front of me. The daytime beauty is elegant, and the night beauty is charming. Which one is more touching?

After admiring the colorful Zhouzhuang at night, I rushed to Zhouzhuang the next morning before the large influx of tourists to appreciate its quiet, peaceful and elegant side with small bridges, flowing water and people. It soon became bustling and noisy.

Before I knew it, the morning had passed quickly. The beautiful Zhouzhuang remained in my memory, and I don’t know when and where it will appear in my dreams.

Zhouzhuang is located in Kunshan, Suzhou. It is a small town in the south of the Yangtze River. It is one of the six ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River and is known as "China's No. 1 Water Town". Zhouzhuang has a long history and is a typical water town in the south of the Yangtze River. It has a unique cultural landscape and is a treasure of Chinese water town culture and Wu local culture. Zhouzhuang was built in the first year of Yuanyou in the Northern Song Dynasty. It was named after Mr. Zhou Digong, a local resident, donated land to build Quanfu Temple. In the Spring and Autumn Period, it was the fief of the youngest son of King Wu, Yao, and was named Zhenfengli. Most of the residents in Zhouzhuang Town live by the water. More than 60% of the houses are still Ming and Qing Dynasty buildings. There are nearly 100 classical houses and more than 60 brick-carved gatehouses in the ancient town of only 0.47 square kilometers. The ancient style of Zhouzhuang folk houses still exists. It also preserves 14 ancient bridges with their own characteristics. The bridges face each other and are connected. It is quite interesting to take a boat tour and cross the bridges and holes. The scenic spots include: Shen Wansan's former residence, Fu'an Bridge, Shuangqiao, Shen Hall, Weird Building, and the Eight Scenic Spots of Zhouzhuang.

By Ryan Rowe |

I heard about Zhouzhuang when I watched "Triple Door" in middle school, but I didn't see it until I had a chance to go on a business trip 20 years later. Maybe the motherland has developed too fast in the past 20 years. Now Zhouzhuang has a strong commercial atmosphere. Wansan pig's trotters cannot be eaten by one person, and the hawthorn cake tastes good. There is a small shop that makes bamboo handicrafts that is very good. The bamboo tube speakers are 8 yuan and the effect is good. There are also bamboo dragonflies that cost 5 yuan, which evoke childhood memories. There was also a woman who traveled through time on the bridge, but it turned out that she was wearing Arthurs shoes. I wanted to feel the tranquility of the water town, but it turned into a walk and eat. I feel that the ancient town is still the same now. If you want to check in, it is worth the trip

By Playing around |

Zhouzhuang is well-known, but I have never been there because I am afraid of the crowds on weekends. When the weather gets hot in summer, I guess there will be fewer people going out to play, and I can't think of where to go, so I just visit Zhouzhuang. I set out to Zhouzhuang on Saturday, stayed one night, and took some other attractions on Sunday, and spent the weekend. There were fewer people than expected. If you stay one night and get up early the next day, there is basically no one in the scenic area, which is quite quiet.

Zhouzhuang Ancient Town is located in the southeast of Suzhou City, at the junction of Kunshan, Wujiang and Shanghai. It is one of the six ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River and enjoys the reputation of "China's No. 1 Water Town". It is one of the first batch of national 5A-level tourist attractions. Zhouzhuang Ancient Town is surrounded by water. The town is formed by the river, the streets are formed by the water, and the streets are the market. There are 14 ancient stone bridges built in the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties well preserved on the well-shaped river. More than 800 households of aboriginals live by the river, and more than 60% of the houses still retain the architectural style of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The main attractions of the ancient town include Fu'an Bridge, Shuangqiao, Shenting, etc.

By Derekwong |

Zhouzhuang is a famous water town in the south of the Yangtze River. Most of the buildings in the town are from the Ming and Qing dynasties. There are many waterways, including the Fu'an Bridge made famous by Shen Wansan and the Shuangqiao Bridge, which is world-famous because of Chen Yifei.

The waterway in the ancient town is relatively narrow, with houses lined up on both sides. Boats pass by from time to time. The ferryman at the stern is dressed in blue-dyed cloth, holding the oar rope, singing Suzhou folk songs, and taking tourists across the small bridges and through the alleys, slowly savoring the time in the water town.

By Xiaoxian Rongrong |

The nearest ancient town to the hotel is Zhouzhuang, China's first water town and one of the first 5A scenic spots, with typical underwater features. Zhouzhuang, surrounded by water, also has many bridges. The story of Shen Wansan is also a topic that cannot be missed. Shen Wansan's former residence, Zhang Ting and Shen Ting are also places you can visit to learn about the lifestyle and feelings of the ancients. The most important thing you cannot miss is to take a rowing boat to listen to the water town tunes of the boat girl and experience the soul of the ancient water town in a relaxing and pleasant rowing trip on the water.

By @猪慢IVY |

I won’t comment too much on Zhouzhuang, because I only walked around it for two hours at night, and the night view was much inferior to that of Wuzhen (perhaps not because of the need to save electricity during holidays).

By Travel the World in the Sun |

In my mind, the water town is synonymous with Zhouzhuang. Going there at night and visiting in the early morning is as tranquil as I imagined: "Life is like a stream. The water of Zhouzhuang is a paradise of water and sweet as sugar. The oars of poetry splash the waves of the past life, and the key bridge has opened the gallery of this life." I don't like the hustle and bustle and commercial atmosphere of Zhouzhuang during the day; but at night and in the early morning, Zhouzhuang is still the first water town described in the textbook. It is best to leave Zhouzhuang at night and stay in Zhouzhuang. Get up early to take pictures. After 8:30, Zhouzhuang is occupied by tour groups.

By Rain |

Zhouzhuang is free at night, the key is to enjoy the night view, but the indoor attractions such as Shen Hall and Zhang Hall are closed. If you want to enjoy the night view like us, it is also a good choice. Rowing on the water has a unique charm. If you pay extra, the rowing sister can sing a Jiangnan tune.

By branches |

Beautiful environment, small bridges and flowing water, quaint town, watching the performance <Four Seasons Zhouzhuang> light show at night is really beautiful, you can really experience it on the spot, it is worth staying here for a night to see the night view

By Frank |

We went there on May 1st. It started to rain when we left. Fortunately, we went early and missed the peak of the crowd. My family likes this place very much. It is very pleasant to stroll to Sanmao Teahouse and have a cup of tea. The price is moderate, 150 yuan for four people to eat and drink. It is normal for the local Jiangnan water town to be seriously commercialized. Compared with places like Humble Administrator's Garden, Zhouzhuang is more worth visiting.

In the misty Zhouzhuang, I was walking on the stone path and the small bridge with an umbrella, and suddenly I thought of Liu Yong's poems.

The scenery is nice, and it doesn't feel completely commercialized. There are still many people living in the town, which is very similar to Nanxun.

One of the six ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River. Before going to Zhouzhuang, I had been to Xitang and Tongli, so I felt they were all similar and there was nothing special about them.

Zhouzhuang, an ancient town in Jiangsu, is suitable for relaxation and leisure. You can go boating on it to experience the beauty of the water town!

It is the earliest developed ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River in China, but unfortunately it has too much commercial flavor.

When Yutong went there, there was no group purchase yet. I bought the ticket for Zhouzhuang Scenic Area at Suzhou Bus Station. At that time, it only cost 100 yuan to buy it at the bus station, which included the pass + the bus fee, so I bought it decisively. I took a photo at the door because I planned to stay there, so I took a photo. It was said that you could enter and exit freely for 2-3 days. At that time, the pass only included: Zhang Hall, Shen Hall, Quanfu Temple, Ancient Theater, Yifei's House, Nanhu Autumn Moon Garden, Mi Lou, Shen Wansan's Former Residence, Ye Chucang's Former Residence, Chengxu Taoist Temple, Zhouzhuang Museum. I recommend that you buy the pass, because Zhang Hall and Shen Hall are must-see attractions, and the Quanfu Temple scenic area is also quite interesting. Moreover, it is not cheap to buy Zhang Hall and Shen Hall alone. The only famous free attractions there are Shen Wansan's Water Tomb and Shuangqiao... So it is quite cost-effective to buy the pass.

The night view of Zhouzhuang is beautiful, the lights are reflected on the river, and the reflections of the thousand-year-old bridges are reflected on the river surface, which is really beautiful...

I came to Zhouzhuang for the second time after 10 years and had a very bad impression. It takes more than an hour to walk from the parking lot to the entrance of the scenic spot. It's not an exaggeration! You are not allowed to drive in! It's very far! I guarantee you will never want to come again! It's very cold in winter! You can't get a taxi! The tourist center is located halfway, and there is a shabby commercial street in the middle that indicates that you can only go through it to get to the scenic spot! The food in the restaurant is so small that it's ridiculous! The shabby parking lot charges.

Maybe I came to Zhouzhuang at the right time, my first impression of Zhouzhuang was surprisingly good. Coming here from Shanghai, I can finally stop my busy pace. Walking on the stone-paved path, breathing the slightly cool and fresh air, I feel as if I suddenly relax and become lazy...

By Still today |

The night view is still very good. This ancient town is not big, so it is suitable to come in the morning to buy tickets.

By Big Bad Wolf |

There are many ancient bridges in Zhouzhuang, and the bridges are facing each other and connected to each other. Stone bridges built in the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties are still preserved.

By Liu Zhudian |

I stayed in Jinxi and took a taxi to Zhouzhuang. I didn't do any research because it was a spur-of-the-moment decision and I couldn't see anything clearly in the dark. So I didn't go around much.

I still like to go to the ancient town to eat, drink and hang out. Zhouzhuang is suitable for staying overnight.

By Wow 👣 |

It is recommended to travel in order from south to north and west to east. In fact, Zhouzhuang is not very big, and you can visit all the famous attractions in one day. It is recommended that you control your time yourself. There are accommodations in Zhouzhuang, and you can also stay overnight to experience the ancient charm of a ray of sunshine in the early morning.

We got off at Nanhu and visited Shenting, Zhangting, Shuangqiao, the ancient theater, Yifei's house, Fu'an Bridge, the maze tower, and Chengxu Taoist Temple. We just took a quick look at the rest.

Ancient towns in China have really been completely commercialized. When I came here, I heard from my friends that this place is very commercialized, but I still came. The tour guide took me to buy this pig's trotter, 65 yuan each, which was extremely unpalatable, but this is not the point. The point is that the boss cursed at the customers for this price... Because the tour guide clearly said in the car that he could get kickbacks here, everyone felt that the tour guide had a hard time and should be allowed to make money, so they all came to buy. But this pig's trotter! It's rotten! Rotten! Friends who can see this, don't buy this expensive rotten pig's trotter because you feel sorry for the tour guide... In fact, I really want to take a picture of the boss cursing at the time, but I can't post a video here... Oh...

It lives up to its reputation as China's No. 1 water town. I give it full marks.

The Jiangnan water town that I've been thinking about is finally here for the National Day holiday. I love the small bridges, flowing water, and houses with blue tiles and white walls. It takes about an hour to get there by bus from Guanqian Street, and then take bus 261. Because I like it and for the occasion, I bought a long skirt. Today's temperature of 27 degrees is just right. You can stroll along the bluestone path or wander along the willow bank, with the breeze blowing on your face and the fragrance of osmanthus, which is infinitely comfortable. A wonderful experience.

I went there once, with a tour group to Zhouzhuang Water Village. In my memory, Zhouzhuang is an ancient town and a water village. It was really unexpected to go there, because it was really quiet. Going there makes people feel peaceful involuntarily. There is a small river along the way, and small boats carry people on parade, and the boatmen hum loudly while rowing! The biggest benefit of going there is that it can liberate your mind, so that your mind is no longer trapped in the noise of the city, and you can get a better mood and peace here!

I mainly want to say that if you are departing from Suzhou, don't buy bus tickets on Ctrip or other websites. I couldn't get the bus ticket at the ticket office of Suzhou North Bus Station. The website showed that it was from Suzhou to Zhouzhuang campus, but I didn't know where it was. The ticket office attendant said that I could buy tickets directly at the window and buy the Zhouzhuang tourist line. The ticket plus insurance for two people cost 40 yuan in total. I suggested that I listen to her and buy the Zhouzhuang ticket and cruise package for 100 yuan. The scenic spot ticket plus the scenic spot cruise. During the National Day, it was delivered to Zhouzhuang Station. You have to walk to the scenic spot for about one kilometer and take a taxi. There will be traffic jams. This ticket directly takes you to the scenic spot by boat.

Transfer to a hotel for one night from October 5th to October 6th during the National Day. My schedule has changed and I can't go to Zhouzhuang, but the reservation has been made and cannot be cancelled. Please contact me if you need any help. Thank you!

After buying the ticket, be sure to take a photo in the office next to the ticket window! The photo will be printed directly on the back of the ticket, so that you can enter and exit the ancient town freely during these days. Otherwise, the ticket is only valid for the day! Friends who plan to stay in the ancient town must pay attention!

In the early morning, there are few tourists in the ancient town, and the shops are not open yet. It is rare to be quiet! Walking on the stone road, you can appreciate the charm of Jiangnan!

By love☼Zhouzhuang♥ |

Enter from the main entrance of Quanfu Road, and you will see 4-person-high stools on both sides of the road supporting vases and colorful lights. The vases are printed with the beautiful scenery of Zhouzhuang, and the flowers and colorful lights at the mouths of the vases are shining brightly. Walking this "flower road" with the people you cherish must be very unforgettable.

Going forward, there is a huge golden carp with a cute farm child on its body. As a thousand-year-old water village, Zhouzhuang is a place where people make a living by fishing. The fishermen sing songs to each other, which is very joyful.

I will never forget the umbrella flowers at last year's Lantern Festival. This year's "fan lanterns" are even more stunning. The Suzhou embroidery fans hanging in the air show the gentleness and refinement of Suzhou more vividly.

The lotus leaves wrapped with small lights and the pink lotus flowers made me feel sorry that summer passed so quickly. Now the ancient town has helped us keep the summer~

Lotus "street lights" were placed on both sides of the plank road. When the lights were on, lovers walked across the plank road and smiled at each other. The beautiful scenery, beautiful women and bright moon, everything was self-explanatory.

Zhouzhuang

It takes about an hour to drive from Suzhou to Zhouzhuang.

I arrived in Zhouzhuang around 5 o'clock. In order to save the ticket money, I had dinner outside the ancient town and walked around for a few rounds.

At about 7 o'clock, the innkeeper came to pick me up

Finally entered the scenic area

Every time I go to the ancient town, I get up early and go to the dark to save some money...Is it easy for me~~

I always feel that I am not a town fan

I often say that most ancient towns have the same style.

However, I have walked through so many ancient towns without realizing it.

Wuzhen, Hongcun, Huanglongxi

Pingyao, Lijiang, Dukezong

Xitang, Fenghuang, and now Zhouzhuang

The road to the ancient town continues...

But I still feel that I am not obsessed with ancient towns...

囧o(╯□╰)o, are you deceiving yourself?

Well, the small bridges, flowing water and houses in the ancient town are still very photogenic.

Especially suitable for me who likes to sleep in and eat snacks

Night scenes are not my specialty. I heard that many businesses went back to their hometowns for the New Year, so many lights were not turned on.

Good commercial town

The merchants are not from Zhouzhuang.

TIPS: There is a Starbucks in the ancient town

The quaint Starbucks, the Starbucks that adapts to local customs...

Zhouzhuang does have the unique water village beauty of the Jiangnan area, with small bridges, flowing water, black-sailed boats... It's just a pity that, precisely because of its fame, it has become a bit commercialized, lacking the tranquility and peace of the small bridges and people's homes...

By nameless |

It's my first time to come to such a small and fresh ancient town. August is not the peak season. The scenery is very good, there are beautiful buildings, and the inn has the taste of home. I like it 💕

By Old Man in Straw Hat and Raincoat on a Boat |

It only took half a day, and the narrow alleys were filled with tourists everywhere. The beauty of the Jiangnan water town has long been submerged in the shadow of this noise!

At this time, I calmed down and thought carefully about why I wanted to come to Zhouzhuang so much? It was to find the leisurely and comfortable life of the people in the water village and to experience the natural life of the people with small bridges and flowing water! It seems that I should not come to this popular attraction in the future, because the people in the water village have long become water village businesses! If you want to return to nature, then go to an undeveloped place! I experienced a rowing boat. The two sides were too noisy, and our small wooden boat was out of tune with the noise on both sides! The rowing sister sang a few songs. Although I didn’t understand a word, the sister’s soft and gentle singing still deeply moved me!

Zhouzhuang Ancient Town is the earliest developed of the six ancient towns in Jiangnan. It was first known by Han Han's novel "Triple Door". However, you must be mentally prepared for the large number of people here. It is not recommended to go there in summer. However, the night view of Zhouzhuang is very good, so you must wait for the best time.

By Really double flying |

Zhouzhuang brings us spiritual cleansing and inner peace. It is simple and peaceful, without the hustle and bustle of the city. It is gentle and delicate. Small bridges, flowing water, and houses, simple buildings are connected by the water, and boats are in groups of three or two on the river. In Zhouzhuang, walking has become a kind of practice. The light footsteps fall on the stone, afraid of disturbing her meditation.

By Xiaowen mosquito |

The night view of Zhouzhuang may not have been planned in a unified way, and there are not many light strips at night. In terms of LCD, the planned Wuzhen West Gate is better! In other words, it looks beautiful at night, but it looks very strange during the day. The misty weather and the white walls and black tiles are really pleasing to the eye! The small scenes in the house show the attention of Jiangnan people to details and interest. Compared with the clear sky, I always feel that the rainy weather is more suitable for the water town. It is very lively when you encounter a line of cruise ships.

Parking: It’s best not to park in the parking lot in my picture, it’s far away.

I just want to know how to rate it 5 stars, what are the standards. The ancient town is full of things for sale, and the quality of the merchants is uneven. The children looked at the toys for a few more times and said they didn't want to buy them or look at them. Some merchants kept pushing you inside to blow the fan, and their attitude was very good.

Scenery: It's just a restaurant, a bridge, and a strange building. You need to pay 30 yuan to enter. I didn't go. The restaurant has become a trend of soliciting customers. There is a family raising birds, which are released in the river. I wanted to take pictures, but they said that they would not allow it if I didn't eat. Otherwise, it's 10 yuan. You said when I should eat at 10:30.

Summary: I don't recommend it because it's crowded and not worth the price.

Zhouzhuang is arguably the most famous ancient town in China. Mr. Chen Yifei's oil painting "Memories of Hometown" brought the simple Zhouzhuang to the world, while also breaking the tranquility of Zhouzhuang. Zhouzhuang, ranked first among the six ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, attracts countless domestic and foreign tourists every day.

By Ordinary life |

The first water town in China. It was raining when I went there, not too heavy nor too light. I strolled in it with an umbrella, looking at the bridge, the building, the house, the willows, and it was like traveling through time in the drizzle...

Shen's Residence, Mi Lou, drinking tea in Sanmao Teahouse and reading Sanmao's letter to the old gentleman in the teahouse are very pleasant and more beautiful than Xitang.

After 8 o'clock, you can enter Zhouzhuang for free. Zhouzhuang Ancient Town is the most ancient town among all the ancient towns! I personally think it is a very suitable ancient town to relax when you are under a lot of pressure. It is a very pure ancient town style. Although there are merchants in it, it is not commercialized. The whole air is filled with reverie, and the slow pace of life allows you to relax to your heart's content. The only small regret is that I didn't take a picture of the double bridges at night. Because I was too tired to walk when I arrived in Zhouzhuang that night... I also took a small boat in Zhouzhuang~ It was very relaxing to rock and roll.

By Forget it |

The building is quite historic and small in size, so you can just walk around it for a while. There is a photo studio inside that is quite special, but I don’t remember much else.

China's No. 1 water town, with narrow rivers and long alleys. This is my second time to Zhouzhuang. The first time was in the winter of 2016. Although the scenery in winter is not as good as in summer, I have to say that there are very few tourists in Zhouzhuang in winter, and it is quieter in comparison. In Zhouzhuang, I met the enthusiastic owner of a homestay. When I was taking a boat trip in the evening, I met a couple who drove here for their honeymoon. It sounds like a very romantic thing.

I went to Zhouzhuang two years ago. I went there to sketch in my freshman year of art. It is interesting to write a review two years later. We went there by bus from our school. The school provided us with food and accommodation. I may not be able to provide you with information on transportation and accommodation. However, I suggest you go to Zhouzhuang. It is a typical and representative Jiangnan water town with a lot of people. There will be a map on the ticket you buy, which contains all kinds of food or specialties. The pig's trotter is sweet, hehe. I stayed in Zhouzhuang for about 13 days. I felt very comfortable and lazy. If I go there again, I will not choose to paint. I will take a good walk, drink a cup of coffee, take beautiful photos, and listen to the singing of the sister rowing the boat.

It's my first time to visit a small town in the south of the Yangtze River. I stayed there for a few days, watching people coming and going on the small road and boats swaying on the river. It's a good place to slow down~~~

I went to Zhouzhuang with a photography expert. He took a lot of photos and finally selected the three photos that he was most satisfied with. It was drizzling that day. I remember we walked on a long bridge for a long time. The bridge was like an alley, making you feel very narrow and long. If you don’t walk with an umbrella, you will miss the scenery.

By Xiaoshan |

The old houses, the crowded cobblestone streets, the small shops everywhere are a far cry from Wuzhen and Lijiang.

By Free sail |

In terms of history, every blade of grass and every tree is a scene; in terms of humanity, every glance and every smile is a feeling. It is worth recommending to appreciate history and culture. However, as a scenic spot, the food is still not to my taste. Moreover, the river is so dirty and smells so bad that I don't even have the heart to go rafting. It would be great if it could be properly managed.

By starph |

Not far away, you can see trumpet creepers. The trumpet creepers here have a different style, with the gentle atmosphere of a water town, gentle and tender, with slender vines. Although the style is different, it is also very charming, adding a lot of color to the ink-and-wash architecture~

There are two important scenic spots in Zhouzhuang, Zhang Hall and Shen Hall. Other than that, the others are some uninteresting small scenic spots. Basically, after visiting Zhang Hall and Shen Hall, you can leisurely stroll around and eat in Zhouzhuang.

On the river, there are always women rowing boats and singing folk songs to take tourists by. They look beautiful when they sing, and their expressions are always happy, intoxicated, and free of worries. I wanted to take pictures of their smiles several times, but the moment I picked up the camera, the boat had already quietly passed by. The appearance of the rowing women under the big hat brim and their cheerful singing can only remain in my memory.

When I came here, many stores sold rice wine. I used to think that rice wine was fermented glutinous rice, but today it seems different. It was my first time tasting it. It was sweet, with a strong rice aroma, but a light taste of wine. I think it should be considered a beverage. It's delicious.

When you come to Zhouzhuang, you can see Wansan pig's trotters everywhere. It can be regarded as a special snack. Three dishes, half a Wansan pig's trotter, steamed fish, and stir-fried water spinach. The amount of food is just right, very delicious, and the plate is clean!

It takes about ten minutes to walk from Zhouzhuang Bus Station to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town. In fact, I personally think walking is a good choice, and you can enjoy the surrounding scenery and characteristics.

The price of a human-powered tricycle is 3 yuan per vehicle. You need to explain the route and price. Sometimes the driver will take tourists around the ancient town and then increase the price. Don't believe some tricycle drivers who say they can take you to the scenic area for free.

Day ticket: 100 yuan ticket, valid for the day (08:00-16:00)

Night ticket: NT$80 (16:00-21:00)

If you need to enter the town multiple times, you need to take a photo at the ticket gate. The day ticket can be used multiple times and is valid for 3 days.

The Zhouzhuang ticket includes 15 attractions: Zhang Hall, Shen Hall, Quanfu Temple, Ancient Theater, Yifei's House, Nanhu Autumn Moon Garden, Maze Tower, Shen Wansan's Former Residence, Ye Chucang's Former Residence, Shen Wansan Water Tomb, Cultural Street, Chengxu Taoist Temple, Xianjiang Fishermen's Hall, Tianfu Museum, Zhouzhuang Museum. An additional 20 yuan per person is required to visit the "Strange Tower".

Tickets for Night Tour of Zhouzhuang: valid only on that night, starting at 4pm, including 2 attractions: Zhang Hall and Shen Hall.

Accommodation in the ancient town is generally family-style inns, and there are many inns, and the types are similar. You can choose to stay in a typical Jiangnan water town home-style inn (small bridges, flowing water), with a retro decoration, to experience the local customs, but the price will be relatively higher.

Zhouzhuang has a wide variety of delicacies and seafood all year round, the most famous of which are the "Three Delicacies of Xianjiang": sea bass, white clams, and whitebait. Zhouzhuang also produces eels. The proverb "eels are as good as ginseng when rice is ripe" is well known. The pickled amaranth and green rice balls, specialties of Jiangnan, are also very popular among tourists. Pastries and cooked food include sesame cakes, peanut cakes, walnut cakes, salt and pepper cakes, green cakes, etc. There are also tea dishes such as pickled vegetable tips.

I had not heard much about Zhouzhuang Ancient Town before, probably because it was overshadowed by the fame of Wuzhen and Xitang. It was only when I arrived in Suzhou and Hangzhou that I realized that Zhouzhuang was no less famous than the other two ancient towns.

Tickets to the ancient town allow you to enter and exit for multiple days, so you can fully experience it.

The ancient towns designated as tourist attractions are roughly the same. The narrow bluestone roads are lined with various local restaurants, handicrafts, and Internet celebrity stores, which seem to have a heavier flavor of commerce than experiencing cultural history.
