It was not until 5:49 that the sun showed its head behind the mountain. We picked up our phones and took the time to take pictures. Generally speaking, when the sun just comes out of the horizon, it looks red because the light is not strong, and it is easy to take good photos. The sunrise in Hanpokou is not seen from the horizon. The sun rising from behind the mountain has very strong light. When the sun just shows a little head, it feels like it is shining brightly. The time to take pictures is actually very short. So I think the ideal place to watch the sunrise in Lushan is still Wulao Peak.

Hanpokou is 1,286 meters above sea level. There is a small peak called Litoujian on the right. Hanpokou is worth a visit, especially as a good place to watch the sunrise. Whether the sun rises in the east, or the sea of clouds rolls, or you watch Poyang Lake, this place is a good choice. The Hanpokou scenic spot itself is not big, the key is the good location, the first choice for viewing the scenery.

If the weather is good (such as summer), you can see the beautiful scenery below the mountain. The same is true for Wulao Peak and Jinxiu Valley. If you go to Lushan on a foggy day, you can directly pass Hanpokou, Wulao Peak, and Jinxiu Valley. It's all white.

Hanpokou is naturally a place I recommend with five stars. It would be great if I could see the sunrise, but I did not regret my decision. After all, safety is the most important thing. However, if you have the opportunity, you can go and see the sunrise. It is really unforgettable.

A few minutes' walk from the gate of the botanical garden will take you to the back of Hanpokou. Climb up a distance and you can see Wangpo Pavilion. Going further, you will reach the main gate. Opposite Hanpokou is Hanyang Peak, the highest peak of Lushan Mountain, to the north is Dayue Mountain, the second highest peak of Lushan Mountain, and to the south is Wulao Peak, the third highest peak of Lushan Mountain. At the foot of the mountain is Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in China. The scenery of lakes and mountains is comparable to each other in beauty.
