Located at the top of Lushan Scenic Area, it is the most majestic and steep peak in Lushan.
The top of the mountain is divided into five parallel peaks by a pass, which looks like five old men sitting on the ground, hence the name.
You can’t appreciate the steepness of the mountain and the strangeness of the rocks just by standing at the foot of the mountain. You have to climb the mountain from the northwest trail.

The scenery of the first and second peaks is average. The scenery of the third and fourth peaks is good, and the whole Jiujiang and Poyang Lake are unobstructed. Many people choose to go down the mountain after climbing the fourth peak, because climbing the fifth peak requires going down the mountain first and then going up the mountain, and it takes 1.5 hours more to go back and forth. I continued to move forward, because I knew that good scenery must be in a place with few people, and there is a downhill road in the fifth peak that can go directly to Sandiequan, so I don’t have to go back. After passing through a pavilion, I arrived at the fifth peak. As I expected, the fifth peak is higher than the other four peaks and extends to Poyang Lake. Here you can see more extended scenery, and you can overlook the four peaks from the side. There is a stone carving of "no obstacles" on the fifth peak, where you can see everything. Standing on it feels like "dominating the world", because you stand high and there are no obstacles, so you can see far. After staying for half an hour, I went down the mountain around the pavilion. It was very steep and it took more than half an hour to walk down the mountain.
"The Wulao Peak in the southeast of Mount Lushan is like a golden lotus carved out of the blue sky. The beauty of Jiujiang is worth embracing, and I will build a nest in the clouds and pines here." This is a seven-character quatrain written by Li Bai, a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty, and the title is: "Climbing the Wulao Peak of Mount Lushan". This poem is engraved on a stone on the left side of the mountain gate of Wulao Peak of Mount Lushan.
Wulao Peak is located on the southeast side of Mount Lushan. The five peaks are wrinkled and folded to form five large "petals". When the sun sets, they look like lotus flowers emerging from the water, or like five old men in deep thought, hence the name Wulao Peak.
I have been to Lushan three times, and Wulao Peak is the most essential scenic spot in my opinion, which is more exciting than Sandiequan. It was cloudy in the morning when I climbed Wulao Peak, and the mountain was filled with fog. This is a lucky weather for viewing the mountain scenery. On a sunny day, the mountain scenery is spectacular but unchanging; on a rainy day, it goes without saying, but when you watch the mountain in the clouds and fog, the unchanging scenery changes rapidly and emerges in an endless stream, as if it is an instant blockbuster staged by nature. Not long after climbing the mountain, there is a place suitable for viewing. In the distance, there is a triangular green peak, which is covered with fog, like a dark cloud. I just raised my mobile phone to debug, and the thick fog came, and in an instant, it was white and everything disappeared. After a few seconds, the fog dissipated, and the mist on the mountain peak was like green smoke. People who watched the scenery were all amazed, and as we climbed up, we found that such scenery followed all the way, which was beautiful. After about an hour of climbing, we reached the first peak (Pipi played on a dirt slope for a long time on the way). The scenery of the first peak is very open. There is a viewing pavilion with open wind on all sides. There is a large rugged rock next to the pavilion for tourists to sit and enjoy the view. From the first peak to the second peak, you have to take a fork in the road to get there. When you reach the second peak, the fog slowly dissipates, and looking down, you can see a vast expanse of clouds and mist. From the second peak back to the right road, through the Wulao Cave, it took more than 40 minutes to climb to the third peak. The third peak and the fourth peak are together. At this time, there are very few tourists. I shouted Pipi's name, and echoes rang out in the valley. The tourists on the second peak heard me shouting and shouted loudly, and later they could even talk. Continue to climb up, the sun slowly came out, and the scenery became clearer. In several places suitable for viewing, I really felt that "looking at the ridge from the side, it is a peak, and the distance and height are different". After climbing for another 40 minutes, we finally reached the fifth peak. At this time, three hours have passed since we started climbing the mountain. The fog has cleared and the clouds have dissipated, and the scenery below the mountain is in full view. Going down the mountain is much faster. In the end, we spent five hours climbing and playing around the entire Wulao Peak. Although the three of us were tired and hungry at the end, we were well fed and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, and had a very good impression of Wulao Peak.
When the weather is fine, you can see Poyang Lake clearly when you climb to the top of Wulao Peak. Peaks 1 and 2 are together, peaks 3 and 4 are very close, and peak 5 is the farthest. People usually return to peak 4. Peak 4 is the highest peak.
When the sightseeing bus took us to Wulao Peak, we got off the bus and saw the beautiful rime. It was a snowy rime world, much more beautiful than the one in the town. We hurried to the entrance of Wulao Peak and were stopped by the staff, who said that this attraction was also closed! Other attractions will also be closed one after another, and Lushan Mountain is about to close. Other tourists who came with us also said that we should go in and take a look. The staff only let us take pictures and play at the entrance and not go up the mountain. What a disappointment! When we arrived, we had to walk around the entrance of Wulao Peak and take pictures of the rime.
Alas... Wulao Peak is located at the top of Mount Lushan. It is the most majestic and steep peak in Mount Lushan. How can you truly appreciate the poem "Looking from the side, it is a mountain, and looking from the front, it is a peak" if you don't climb Wulao Peak? ! I can only leave this regret as a reason for myself to come to Mount Lushan next time.
The first small scenic spot on the second day is also a must-see! The original plan was to spend 1 day on the east line and 1 day on the west line. As a result, I found that I couldn't play on the east line in 1 day. Even if I had time, I didn't have the energy. I only planned to play in Lushan for 2 days, so I planned to visit all 6 must-visit scenic spots in the China-TravelNote APP. Combining the comments of other bee friends, the suggestions of the owner of the store on the 4th peak, and the suggestions of other hikers, let me say that if you climb the Wulao Peak, you have to get off at the Wulao Peak Station and start climbing from the first peak. You can enjoy the scenery and take pictures all the way up, and return to the fourth peak by the original route, because you have seen enough of the beautiful scenery. The journey to the fifth peak is very long, it takes 2 hours, and the scenery is average. You must not climb from the old Wufeng to Sandiequan, which is not physically possible for ordinary people.
Wulao Peak is divided into five parallel peaks because the top of the mountain is cut off by a pass. Looking up, it looks like five old men sitting on the ground, so people call these five peaks from one mountain "Wulao Peak". It is connected to Poyang Lake, and its peak touches the sky. It is 1,436 meters above sea level. Although it is slightly lower than Dahanyang Peak, it is more majestic and magnificent. It is the most magnificent and dangerous scenery in the whole mountain. Wulao Peak is the most difficult scenic spot in Lushan Mountain, because you have to climb nearly 5 peaks. Peaks 1-4 are relatively close, and Peak 5 is relatively far away. First go to Dengfeng Gate, walk 800 meters to Peak 1, 80 meters to Peak 2, 400 meters to Peak 3, 80 meters to Peak 4, and 1,000 meters to Peak 5.
I personally think that if you don't climb Wulao Peak, you are unworthy of being a visitor to Mount Lushan. Mount Lushan is full of cultural atmosphere, and Wulao Peak is relatively pure and can reflect the natural nature of Mount Lushan. The experience of this trip was great. It was a sunny day when I climbed in the morning, but the wind was gentle and the whole body was comfortable. I didn't feel very tired after climbing the five peaks (compared with the Haohanpo yesterday)
The travel notes I read before all said that the scenery of each peak is similar. In fact, it is not true. The peaks of Lushan Mountain are not strange but beautiful, and their charm is also unique.
Located in the southeast of Mount Lushan, the top of the mountain is divided into five parallel peaks by a pass. Looking up, it looks like five old men sitting on the ground, so people call these five peaks from the original mountain "Five Old Peaks". It is connected to Poyang Lake, and its peaks touch the sky. It is 1,436 meters above sea level. Although it is slightly lower than the Hanyang Peak, it is more majestic and magnificent. It is the most magnificent and dangerous scenery in the whole mountain. Because many people only climb to the fourth peak, I did not climb the fifth peak and returned because the last one has no characteristics. It took me less than 3 hours to go back and forth.
The climb is not difficult and takes half a day to a day. The higher you climb the five peaks, the better the view.
Heavy fog is a characteristic of Mount Lushan. When the fog dissipates, you can see the surrounding scenery at a glance, with a broad vision and a relaxed mood.
If the weather is good, it will be great. On foggy days, you can only see the flowers in the fog. There is still fun in climbing mountains.
The highest point in Lushan Scenic Area is a little lower than the highest peak, Hanyang Peak, but the scenery here is the best. When the weather is good, you can see the Poyang Lake, China's largest freshwater lake, at the foot of the mountain. It is so spectacular.
One of the two core scenic spots of Lushan Mountain, you can wait for the high mountains and watch the sea of clouds, which is very beautiful
The scenery of Lushan is just average. You will feel a bit disappointed when you come here. You should just treat it as a place for vacation and spiritual practice.
I climbed for most of the day but didn't sweat much. It was so comfortable to climb Mount Lushan in the summer. I felt very close to the clouds, and there were clouds floating on the mountain road in front of me.
Speaking of Lushan Wulao Peak, everyone is familiar with it, especially those who have watched the Saint Seiya anime, they can't be more familiar with Wulao Peak. It is the place where the Libra war god Tonghu practiced, and the place where Shiryu trained Lushan Shenglongba. In reality, the scenery here is infinite, and the scenery of the entire Lushan Mountain is breathtaking.
The so-called Five Old Peaks are actually five consecutive peaks. As long as you have enough perseverance, you can climb all the way up. Because I personally like places with a wide view, so when I get to such a place, I seem to have endless energy and climb one peak after another. Although the scenery I see is similar, I will stop and take a lot of photos before leaving. Many people climb one or two peaks and then go down the mountain, and then take a car to Sandiequan, so the further you go, the fewer people there are, and the more convenient it is to take pictures.
The second peak is very steep, basically 45 degrees. The first four peaks are relatively close, and the fifth is a bit far. After half an hour of climbing uphill, I finally came to a pavilion. In front of the pavilion, there are two roads, one leading to the fifth peak and the other down the mountain to Sandiequan. Unfortunately, it was foggy when I arrived at the fifth peak. I waited for half an hour and couldn't see anything.
The most respected person in the world is the old man with virtue; the most respected person in the world is the mountain with valleys. The old man with virtue, virtue matches the five elements; the mountain with valleys, the valleys contain all hearts.
The five elements: the beauty of the spirit comes from the east, which is called benevolence wood; the dignity, firmness and flexibility come from the south, which is called courtesy fire; the emphasis on affection and covenant comes from the west, which is called gold and righteousness; the sensitivity and cleanliness come from the north, which is called wisdom water; the great virtue and tolerance come from the center, which is called trust soil. A person's life is like the autumn of plants and trees. Like the fragrant orchid in spring, it is lush and waiting to be cultivated; each plant has its own spirit, and the heart of a benevolent person does not lose its original goodness. Like the scorching sun in summer, it is scorching and waiting to be burned; its momentum is ready to be launched, but it does not lose the normal state of etiquette. Like the bleakness of autumn, the fallen leaves are silent; its sudden prosperity is gone, and then we know that righteousness is not easy. Like winter, all things are dormant, and the filth is removed; when the ordinary mind comes, everything is indifferent. Just like a person's life, from birth to prosperity, to indifference, to collection, we will know that trust is indispensable in the center of life.
The peak is thousands of feet high, but its power is not alone. A person who is superior to others is a ruthless person. The reason why the peak is thousands of feet high and not alone is because there are valleys in the peak; the reason why people are not tolerated by others is because of their narrow minds.
This person understands the five virtues, and then he is respected as an elder; this peak is clear and tolerant, and then he is not lonely. Now I see the five elders standing side by side, knowing the mountain wind; being familiar with the mist; the birds singing in harmony; the beasts walking peacefully and intimately; the pine trees are covered with dragon armor and are about to fly, the strange rocks cover the dry grass and reveal their grandeur; they are surrounded by the water of Poyang Lake without being startled, and they enjoy the unique beauty of Lushan without being spoiled; Hey! When people walk among them, how can they understand? They are only thinking about the appearance of the scenery and are lost, but forget the Luoshu River Map?
Wulao Peak

Lushan Sandiequan Scenic Area Waterfall, Cableway Scenery
Arrived for the first time on 20181026. The climbing journey took one and a half hours and the descent took half an hour. From the wooden pavilion, you can take another road to Sandiequan.
A very good place. The climb is not difficult and worth going, especially there is a large rocky open space at the fourth peak, which is a good place for taking photos.
Wulao Peak of Lushan Mountain should be the most enjoyable attraction in Lushan Mountain in terms of the whole tour process. I even think it is better than Sandiequan. Unfortunately, there was fog on the mountain when I went there, and I couldn’t see the beautiful scenery of "looking from the side you see mountains and looking from the front you see peaks, and the distances and heights are different". But it is still good. The distance from the trailhead to the first peak and from the fourth peak to the fifth peak is the longest. The distance from the first peak to the fourth peak is actually not long. The second peak is very fresh, and the fourth and fifth peaks are relatively high. Each has its own strengths. I hope there will be good weather next time I come.
Climb up the steps along the scenic road and you will reach the first peak in about half an hour, about 150 meters high. There are many viewing points along the way, where you can enjoy the clouds and mist of Mount Lushan.
We walked through the second and third peaks and saw the famous Lushan pine, which grew horizontally on the cliffs. The lower branch had been struck by lightning, leaving only a dead branch, which made people imagine more. There was also a peak that stood out like a stone pillar in the valley, which looked amazing, but unfortunately the photo could not capture the effect.
We arrived at the fourth peak at 9:40, which is the highest peak among the five old peaks, 1436 meters above sea level. Because the road from the fourth peak to the fifth peak is a little long, many tourists turn back here.
We continued to move forward and reached the fifth peak at 10:10. At this time, the mountain was completely shrouded in clouds and mist. Except for a few pine trees in front of us, nothing could be seen. Well, that's it.
Walk back about 100 meters from the Fifth Peak, and you will see a three-way intersection with a wooden shed. Go down the road next to the wooden shed, and you will reach the Sandiequan Cable Car Station in less than an hour. It is said that the scenic spot should set up signposts at this three-way intersection to facilitate tourists.
Wulao Peak has five peaks. Generally, people will choose to climb the first four peaks, which have better scenery and are closer, while the fifth peak is farther away. We chose the first and second peaks because we were scared when we heard that the third peak was dangerous... The scene of the West Sea Grand Canyon and the Hundred-Step Cloud Ladder is still vivid in our minds, so we climbed the first two peaks, but we were also very tired. It took us 1.5 hours to go up and return. The steps to climb the first peak are quite long and tiring, mainly to see the Eagle's Beak Stone. It is very close from the first peak to the second peak, and it can be climbed in 5-10 minutes, but the washboard road on the second peak is too strenuous to climb, there are no steps, and the top of the mountain is bare without handrails, which is also quite dangerous. The scenery is OK, but it is still slightly inferior to Huangshan.
1:45 Ascend the mountain
3:30 Walking back from Sifeng Netizens said there is a way down the mountain from Sifeng, but the uncle in the canteen said that the way down the mountain only takes 40 minutes to walk back, and it takes two hours to walk from Wufeng to San Diequan. So we had to go back the same way, which took nearly 50 minutes.
4:15 Arrive at the foot of the mountain
The scenery is really average. The four peaks are not very different, so you don't have to go.
Sifeng Mountain Mung Bean Popsicles are a miscellaneous brand, not pure mung beans, probably have a lot of pigments, not tasty, don't buy them
After going down the mountain, we went to Hanpokou. It was shrouded in smoke and the village below was hazy. There was nothing to see. It took an hour to queue up for the scenic bus from Hanpokou. The crowds were all sweaty. And after going down the mountain to the cinema in front of the tunnel, it took another ten minutes to walk back to the main street.
The scenery is average, but if you are lucky, you can see the sea of clouds. I am very lucky!!! I was stung by a bee. It was an unforgettable trip to Lushan.
As the name suggests, there are five peaks, and the scenery of the third peak is the most beautiful. From the fifth peak, you can continue to reach the Sandiequan Scenic Area, but the distance is far and it takes a long time. Famous mountains and rivers are all magnificent and shocking wherever you see. It is easy to reach the first and second peaks. On the top of the first peak, there is a pavilion called Daiqing Pavilion. Although it is noon, it is slightly cloudy and the mountain fog is hazy. Looking from a distance, you can only see the outline of the rocks and pine rocks. At the top of the second peak, there is a large group of steep and rugged rocks. You can use your hands and feet to see different distant mountain boulders from all positions and angles. The huge valley steep slope, the cliff of the mountain has a myriad of weathered rocks. Almost vertical steep walls, with several tenacious pine trees standing in the cracks of the rocks, full of vitality, no soil, what can I do. A few steps forward, you will reach the third peak, which is also the most open and diverse viewing place. Looking from the fourth peak, the mountains are locked in heavy fog, just waiting for a mountain rain. It is still far from Wufeng. If you don't go to San Diequan, you have to go back the same way. Give up Wufeng and go down the mountain easily.
Key points: Wulaofeng hiking tips: Starting from Wulaofeng sightseeing station, the hike to Wufeng is 2.36 kilometers: 800 meters from the starting point to the first peak, but there are many uphill roads, which takes about 30-35 minutes; only 80 meters from the first peak to the second peak, which takes 5 minutes; 400 meters from the second peak to the third peak, but there are many uphill roads, which takes about 20-25 minutes; the third peak and the fourth peak are next to each other, only 80 meters apart (the one with the canteen is the fourth peak, and the lonely hill with a fence on the pile of rocks next to it is the third peak); the fourth peak to the fifth peak is 1 kilometer apart, which takes about 30 minutes. Even if you are with children who are not physically fit, hiking + stopping, sightseeing, and taking pictures are enough to complete the journey within 2.5 hours.
Key points: There are three ways to go down from Wulao Peak. Please decide according to your physical strength:
1. Walk from the Fourth Peak to the Fifth Peak. There is a three-way intersection less than 100 to 200 meters away from the Wufeng Observation Deck. The third road leads to the entrance of the Sandiequan Scenic Area, where there is a sightseeing bus stop. But this is a continuous downhill road that takes about 50 minutes to walk. It is very tiring! We walked so hard that we doubted our lives! And it hurts our knees. It is not recommended!
2. Return to Wulaofeng Sightseeing Station from Wufeng along the original route. The pure hiking time is about 1.5 hours.
3. Give up Wufeng and return to Wulaofeng Sightseeing Station from Sifeng. The pure hiking time is about 1 hour.
Scenic review: It is more beautiful than Hanpokou, but in fact, the scenery seen from the top of the five peaks is the same, just from different angles. Compared with the first four peaks, the scenery seen from the fifth peak is the most open and unobstructed. It is really beautiful and I personally think it is worth a visit. Although the fifth peak is the farthest, it is actually only half an hour's walk one way, so you can consider it yourself!
This is not a place suitable for groups of both young and old. We just came here to check in, but the mountain was so foggy that we might not be able to see any scenery. We comforted ourselves like this.
Wulao Peak is definitely worth experiencing, because I couldn't get up in the morning and it was cloudy for several days during the Dragon Boat Festival, so I didn't bring a tripod. Otherwise, I really wanted to see the sunrise and experience it myself. After climbing the five peaks, I went down the mountain to Sandiequan Scenic Area, which took 2 hours. And don't go from Hanpokou. If you don't want to see the sunrise, go directly to the Wulao Peak intersection! !
As you enter the gate of the scenic area, you will go up all the way, which is a good start.
There are jagged rocks and protruding peaks.
I feel that the view is much wider than that of Hanpokou.
There is an eagle-beak rock in front of the second peak. The top of the second peak is covered with hard and smooth boulders. There is no ready-made road to walk on, so you can only go up carefully and hold on to the pine trunk to prevent slipping.
It is not easy for Lushan pine to grow on the cliff. Let it represent Lushan pine. The branches are twisted and twisted, but not straight and straight enough. The scenery of the four peaks is the most beautiful. On the way to the fifth peak, I looked back at the four peaks. The white house on the top of the mountain is a small shop. I bought a bottle of Sprite there and drank it all. With this bottle of Sprite as a base, I can walk all the way to Sandiequan. The view of the five peaks is really wide, and the whole area within a radius of 100 miles can be seen. The viewing platform is built on the jagged hard rocks.
If you don't go to the top of Wufeng, your trip to Lushan is in vain. From Wufeng, you can see the white house store on the top of Sifeng, where you can drink Sprite.
Go directly to the 5th peak, and go to Sandiequan from the 5th peak. Come on!
When I climbed to the first peak, I felt just so-so, but when I reached the second peak, I felt it was really interesting, like the Grand Canyon of the West Sea in Huangshan. The natural scenery of Lushan Mountain was elevated to the level of being equally important as the humanities.
Actually, I didn't expect much from the natural scenery of Lushan Mountain. I came to Lushan Mountain mainly to see the cultural landscape. But the fact was just the opposite. The cultural landscape of Lushan Mountain disappointed me (although the weather was perfect), but the natural landscape far exceeded my imagination. At Wulao Peak, I took the most satisfying photo of myself:) Sitting on the cliff, the clouds and mist rose, and the mountains behind me were looming. I immediately thought of the artistic conception of the teacher in Saint Seiya, which I loved to watch since childhood. Of course, it is very dangerous to be in such a place, don't imitate it easily! ! !
One of the attractions in Lushan that requires physical strength. The whole journey is on foot and there is no cable car. Not many people climb the mountain. Most people only go to the fourth peak and then return the same way. Some people go to the fifth peak. Go down the mountain from the fifth peak and go directly to San Diequan. It requires physical strength and time.
Wulao Peak of Lushan Mountain is located in the five peaks, between Hanpokou and Sandiequan. There is no cable car and the climb is purely by steps.
The highest peak of Wulao Peak is the third highest peak of Lushan Mountain. It is composed of five connected peaks. You must insist on climbing to the top of the four peaks. The first peak is a bit steep at the beginning, but the other peaks are relatively gentle. From the top, you can overlook Poyang Lake and feel like you can see all the mountains!
When you come to Lushan, Wulao Peak is worth seeing. Avoid the crowds and experience the joy of travel. Wulao Peak, as the name suggests, has five peaks. Climbing is tiring, but if you exercise regularly, it shouldn't be a problem. It is recommended to go to the fourth peak, which is not too tiring and has beautiful scenery. It takes 1 hour to go from the fourth peak to the fifth peak, and it will be quite tiring, so everyone should consider it according to their physical condition.
If you have two days, I suggest you go to Wulao Peak on the second day, which is many times better than Hanpokou. The fog at Wulao Peak is very unique, with wind and clouds, which is the most surprising place in Lushan Mountain.
Unfortunately, it was still foggy and we could only see the tip of the iceberg.
The five peaks have their own unique shapes. From a nearby distance, you can see rugged rocks, and from a distance, you can overlook the Poyang Lake. But in fact, if you want to truly see the effect of the five elders standing side by side, the best place is on the way down the mountain to the Bai Ludong Academy.
It's a very good scenic spot. When I went there, it was foggy and it was intermittent. Later, the fog became thicker and I couldn't see anything.
Wulao Peak is located in the southeast of Mount Lushan. Because the top of the mountain is divided into five parallel peaks by a pass, it looks like five old men sitting on the ground, so people call these five peaks "Wulao Peak". Wulao Peak is covered with clouds and mist, just like a fairyland on earth. People with good physical strength can go back and forth in 3 hours.
Wulao Peak is located in the southeast of Mount Lushan. Because the top of the mountain is divided into five parallel peaks by the pass, it looks like five old men sitting on the ground, so people call these five peaks from the same mountain "Wulao Peak". It is connected to Poyang Lake, and the peak touches the sky. It is 1,436 meters above sea level. Although it is slightly lower than the Hanyang Peak, it is more majestic and magnificent. It is the most magnificent and dangerous scenery in the whole mountain. The five elders who studied scriptures and preached in ancient times were called gods or celestial masters in history. In the astrological hexagrams, they are Qingling Shi Lao Tianzun, representing the east, wood, and blue; Danling Zhen Lao Tianzun, representing the south, fire, and red; Huangling Yuan Lao Tianzun, representing the middle, earth, and yellow; Haoling Su Lao Tianzun, representing the west, gold, and white; Yiling Xuan Lao Tianzun, representing the north, water, and black. The Wulao Temple is dedicated to these five elder gods. From this, we know that Wulao Mountain is the place where the Five Elders hid themselves with the "Hetu" and "Luoshu" to teach scriptures, study hexagrams, practice, and preach. It is the place where Yixue culture was spread during the founding period and the cradle of Heluo culture. This is the origin of Wulao Mountain.
Observing from different angles, the mountain looks different, some look like poets chanting, some look like warriors singing, some look like fishermen fishing, and some look like old monks sitting cross-legged. The most realistic view of the Five Old Peaks is from Haihui Temple in Haihui Town, Lushan District. The third peak is the most dangerous among the five peaks, with various strange rocks and stones, majestic and beautiful; the fourth peak is the highest, with pine trees on the top bending like a dragon, and there are five small peaks below, namely Lion Peak, Golden Seal Peak, Stone Ship Peak, Lingyun Peak and Flagpole Peak, and below are Guanyin Cliff and Lion Cliff, and Qinglian Temple in the valley behind.
You don’t have to go to Wulao Peak in Lushan Mountain to visit Sandiequan, but it is worth a visit.
I was lucky enough to see the sea of clouds in Lushan, which was really beautiful. The unique mountain of Wulao Peak is also worth remembering. For me who likes mountaineering, Wulao Peak is the place in Lushan that brings me the most fun! The only thing I am not satisfied with is that the indicator icons are not perfect enough.
Among the Five Old Peaks, three are the most dangerous and the fourth is the highest, with spectacular scenery and quiet valleys.

I didn't take many photos of Wulao Peak, but it's magnificent. You can't go wrong climbing Lushan Mountain.
My journey to Wulao Peak can be summed up in four words: in the clouds and fog, haha! I went there at almost ten in the morning. The fog was so thick that I couldn't go up to Wufeng. I was blocked by a ladder, so I could only go down the mountain from the way to Sandiequan. The road leading to the Sandiequan parking lot is super long and there are very few people. I walked for almost an hour before I saw anyone. I was getting more and more frustrated as I walked. It felt like there was no end. The pedometer on my phone showed that I had climbed more than ninety floors... I don't know if there will be other ways to go down the mountain when I reach Wufeng. If you can only go down the mountain from the way to Sandiequan like me, it's better to return from the original way of Sifeng. It's very cold on the foggy mountain. It's so cold in the summer that I have to buy a raincoat to keep warm! You can't see the mountains and mountains on foggy days, but the scenery in the fog is also interesting. I feel like a fairy! 😄 When it's foggy on the top of the mountain, you can see flowing clouds at the foot of the mountain. It's the first time I've seen it and I think it's so beautiful!
The essence of Lushan. In early June 2017, after the rain, the sky was clear and the sea of clouds was steaming. Tourists kept exclaiming that it was so beautiful. The mountain road is generally not difficult. Go down Wufeng and follow the signs to San Diequan. As long as you pay attention to exercise, it is no problem to visit these two attractions in one day.
It should be a characteristic scenic spot of Lushan Mountain. You can roam around for two and a half hours after getting off the scenic area bus.
It takes about 50 minutes to reach the first peak after entering the scenic area gate and climbing uphill. There is a shop near the first peak, and a bottle of water costs 10 yuan. After climbing up for more than ten minutes, you will reach the second peak, which is marked by the Eagle's Beak Stone. It takes only ten minutes from the second peak to the third peak. There is a wishing pine on the third peak, and it is not far to the fourth peak. The fourth peak is the highest peak of the Five Old Peaks, and you can see the fifth peak. It takes about an hour to get from the fourth peak to the fifth peak, and you can reach it by climbing up the next mountain. Not many people go to the fifth peak.
It is located in the southeast of Mount Lushan in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. Because the top of the mountain is broken by a pass, it is divided into five parallel peaks. Looking up, they look like five old men sitting on the ground, so people call these five peaks "Five Old Men's Peaks".
Travel tips: The third peak is the most dangerous, with stone carvings on the top such as "Sun is approaching and clouds are low" and "Overlooking the universe".
Wulao Peak should be the most surprising and pleasant place for me on this trip to Lushan. The scenery of each peak is different and each has its own beauty. The four peaks are the highest and most dangerous, and the five peaks have the most beautiful scenery. Opposite is Hanyang Peak, and the view is excellent. If you have the physical strength, you should walk through all five peaks. The only bad thing here is that there are monuments on the first few peaks, but not on the back. Maybe there are fewer people going there. There is only a small shop at the four peaks, where you can learn more about the five old peaks. The first four peaks are quite close, and the five peaks are a little farther. So there are few people. When we were at the five peaks, we saw the sun piercing through the clouds and shining on the opposite Hanyang Peak, which was really spectacular! In short, it is highly recommended!
After climbing San Diequan for four hours, I came to climb Wu Lao Peak. I felt a little exhausted. Finally, I saw the signs for the first and second peaks, and ran to the first peak panting. The beautiful peaks, the leisurely sea of clouds, and the fairyland on earth! The fatigue of the body was swept away! It was worth it no matter how tired! I was very excited after seeing the first peak, and I suddenly had the strength to climb the second peak. Wow! The second peak is more beautiful and the most precipitous. The layers of boulders are like undulating dragon scales. From a distance, people's heads are already on top of the clouds. It's really beautiful. The picture can no longer express its beauty. I really don't want to leave the second peak, but my bestie urged me to leave. She said that the others are more beautiful. I can only watch and climb the third peak reluctantly. The fourth peak is the most beautiful and the highest, and the mountains are small at a glance. The strange rocks and peaks under the fourth peak stand tall, narrow and steep, and deserve the four words "spectacular in heaven and earth"! Spend time on the second and fourth peaks when playing in Wu Lao Peak. The second peak is dangerous and beautiful, and the fourth peak is strange! If you have the physical strength, you can go to Wufeng. If not, there is no need to climb it.
I climbed San Diequan first and then Wu Lao Peak. I felt a little exhausted. It was foggy when I climbed the first, second and third peaks. I wanted to give up when I looked at the fourth peak, but I finally went up. I looked around panting and felt a little disappointed... I sat at the fourth peak for about 40 minutes and the fog dissipated! The beautiful mountains and the lingering sea of clouds are like a fairyland on earth! The fatigue of the body was swept away! It was worth it no matter how tired I was!
If it hadn't rained, the scenery would have been beautiful, but there were few tourists and it was still very quiet to walk in the rain. The distance between the first and fourth peaks was very small. Since there was still ice on the foggy mountain, we only went to the fourth peak and returned. It's worth a visit.
I encountered a waterfall cloud by chance, which was a delight, but it was a bit tiring. I only climbed the second and fourth peaks. The aunt at the other inns said it was unnecessary, so I just let it go.
After the snow last night, the weather was clear and refreshing the next day. After climbing Wulao Peak, the sea of clouds came
Wulao Peak is a little further from Hanpokou, mainly for viewing the mountain scenery. You can see it when you take the cable car.
It is worthy of being ranked as one of the Three Mountains and Five Peaks! The scenery is beautiful!
Wulao Peak You can take a sightseeing bus from the Botanical Garden Sightseeing Bus Station to the entrance of Wulao Peak. Because the top of the mountain is broken by the pass, it is divided into five parallel peaks. Looking up from a distance, it looks like five old men sitting on the ground, so it is named "Wulao Peak". The wave of Wulao Peak is 1,436 meters. Its base is connected to Poyang Lake, towering into the clouds, and it is the most majestic and severe scenery in the entire Lushan Mountain. The prototype of the training place of Saint Seiya Dohko in the super popular Japanese manga "Saint Seiya" is also here. If you observe Wulao Peak from different angles, you will find that each of its peaks has its own shape. Some are like poets who are in high spirits and are reciting poems and making music, some are like generals who have won a victory and are singing triumphant songs, some are like fishermen who are concentrating on fishing, and some are like monks sitting cross-legged and chanting scriptures. (The tour time is about 120 minutes.)
You must come and see this place yourself! The sky was particularly blue after the rain. When I climbed up, there was a sea of clouds. I was so lucky. The consequence of climbing five peaks in a row was that I was exhausted.
I actually only visited four peaks of Wulao Peak, but it was enough for me because climbing the mountain was really tiring. Wulao Peak is also a good place to watch the sunrise, but I recommend Wulao Peak more than San Diequan because San Diequan is too tiring.
Wulao Peak is divided into five parallel peaks because its top is cut off by a pass. Looking up, it looks like five old men sitting on the ground, so people call these five peaks "Wulao Peak". It is connected to Poyang Lake, with its peak touching the sky. It is 1,436 meters above sea level. Although it is slightly lower than Dahanyang Peak, it is more majestic and magnificent. It is the most majestic and dangerous scenic spot in the whole mountain.
It takes about 3 hours to play Wulao Peak. You can leave your phone number at the sightseeing station, and the staff will contact you if you are late. The entrance of the scenic area claims that you will not go down if it is late. For safety reasons, I hope you will leave your phone number, but in fact, when people go down the mountain, the staff have already run away!
Arrive at the first peak in half an hour and wait for the pavilion. It takes only a few minutes to reach the Eagle's Beak Stone, the second peak on the right, and the third peak on the left. It only takes a few minutes to reach the second peak. Climb up the messy stones and enjoy the fun of climbing. On the way to the third peak, there are two small scenic spots, the Welcoming Pine of Lushan Mountain and the Flag Peak, but the Welcoming Pine has broken branches. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the third peak. The third peak is particularly easy to miss. The scenery is very good, mostly looking down, not suitable for portraits. It takes about 5-6 minutes to reach the fourth peak, and the wind is particularly strong. It takes half an hour to reach the fifth peak. The view is very open. Below is Xingzi County, and you can also see Poyang Lake.
The road to Xia Sandiequan is on the way from Sifeng to Wufeng, but it is closer to Wufeng.
The four peaks of Wulao Peak are the best places to watch the sunrise, and the five peaks are the ideal location to overlook Poyang Lake. I climbed Wulao Peak at night that day to wait for the sunrise. Because it was cloudy, I didn't see the sun rising from the horizon. It just showed its face for a few minutes between two layers of clouds a few minutes later. It can be regarded as seeing the sunrise! Looking over from the five peaks, it was completely foggy, and even the outline of Poyang Lake was not seen, which was a bit regrettable. In addition to the sunrise and Poyang Lake, the scenery of the entire Wulao Peak can also compete with Jinxiu Valley, but the styles on both sides are a little different. The same is good scenery! Finally, I have to say that knowing that some people will watch the sunrise at Wulao Peak, why doesn't the scenic area management department install street lights beside the mountain trail?
It is a good time to come now. Lushan Xiaomei Travel Service is especially suitable for small groups and single or double travel. It provides a variety of considerate services. Please call us for any needs: 15279321583
Is it fun? Just look at the pictures! We went with Jiangxi Traveler Outdoor, it was fun! I recommend this club to everyone. WeChat public account: jxxzhw
I go to Mount Lushan many times a year, and it is beautiful in different seasons! Among all the scenic spots in Jiangxi, I give it full marks! We followed the outdoor traveler to walk through the route, so we didn’t have to buy expensive tickets! It’s also amazing!
It is really great to watch the sunrise and the beautiful scenery on Wulao Peak. The scenery is so beautiful. You must climb Wulao Peak when you go to Lushan.
I forgot how to explain it. The first peak is steep? The second peak is dangerous? The third peak... The third peak? Anyway, the fourth peak is the highest and the fifth peak is foggy.
Li Bai's poem "Five old peaks in the southeast of Mount Lu, golden lotus carved out of the blue sky" is about this place. Four of the peaks are the best places to watch the sunrise at Mount Lu.
There is a map for reference at the entrance, which clearly marks the distance to each peak. The first peak has a larger slope, while the slope from the first peak to the fourth peak is relatively gentle, and the distance between the peaks is closer. However, from the fourth peak to the fifth peak is much farther, and it takes about an hour to walk. If you have limited physical strength, you can only climb from the first peak to the fourth peak.
There is a 20-minute climbing staircase at the entrance, and then it is flat all the way. Walking on the top of the mountain, there are trees on both sides to block the view, which makes it much easier. It is 0.8km to the first peak and 0.88km to the second peak. The first and second peaks are very close, and you can't feel that you are on the peak until you see the sign.
The distance signs in the scenic area are well done
Walking and looking along the way, we soon reached the four peaks. The scenery in the distance from each peak is the same, but the angle is slightly different. However, standing at the highest altitude of the four peaks, the view is still the best. If you look carefully, you can see Poyang Lake, which looks very big and wide, but the visibility is not very good these two days due to haze.
To reach the best viewing point of the Fourth Peak, you need to walk a short distance without steps. It doesn't seem dangerous when taking pictures, but it is actually much more difficult. The angle is very steep and requires both hands and feet. However, my husband climbed up in three or two steps, while I moved for a long time before reaching the Fourth Peak. It is very far to continue walking down to the Fifth Peak, so we retreated decisively. The way down the mountain is always so easy and we can check in so quickly.
