To reach the best viewing point of the Fourth Peak, you need to walk a short distance without steps. It doesn't seem dangerous when taking pictures, but it is actually much more difficult. The angle is very steep and requires both hands and feet. However, my husband climbed up in three or two steps, while I moved for a long time before reaching the Fourth Peak. It is very far to continue walking down to the Fifth Peak, so we retreated decisively. The way down the mountain is always so easy and we can check in so quickly.

The scenery of the first and second peaks is average. The scenery of the third and fourth peaks is good, and the whole Jiujiang and Poyang Lake are unobstructed. Many people choose to go down the mountain after climbing the fourth peak, because climbing the fifth peak requires going down the mountain first and then going up the mountain, and it takes 1.5 hours more to go back and forth. I continued to move forward, because I knew that good scenery must be in a place with few people, and there is a downhill road in the fifth peak that can go directly to Sandiequan, so I don’t have to go back. After passing through a pavilion, I arrived at the fifth peak. As I expected, the fifth peak is higher than the other four peaks and extends to Poyang Lake. Here you can see more extended scenery, and you can overlook the four peaks from the side. There is a stone carving of "no obstacles" on the fifth peak, where you can see everything. Standing on it feels like "dominating the world", because you stand high and there are no obstacles, so you can see far. After staying for half an hour, I went down the mountain around the pavilion. It was very steep and it took more than half an hour to walk down the mountain.

"The Wulao Peak in the southeast of Mount Lushan is like a golden lotus carved out of the blue sky. The beauty of Jiujiang is worth embracing, and I will build a nest in the clouds and pines here." This is a seven-character quatrain written by Li Bai, a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty, and the title is: "Climbing the Wulao Peak of Mount Lushan". This poem is engraved on a stone on the left side of the mountain gate of Wulao Peak of Mount Lushan.

Wulao Peak is located on the southeast side of Mount Lushan. The five peaks are wrinkled and folded to form five large "petals". When the sun sets, they look like lotus flowers emerging from the water, or like five old men in deep thought, hence the name Wulao Peak.

On a sunny day, the mountain scenery is spectacular but unchanging; on a rainy day, it goes without saying, but when you watch the mountain in the clouds and fog, the unchanging scenery changes rapidly and emerges in an endless stream, as if it is an instant blockbuster staged by nature. Not long after climbing the mountain, there is a place suitable for viewing. In the distance, there is a triangular green peak, which is covered with fog, like a dark cloud. I just raised my mobile phone to debug, and the thick fog came, and in an instant, it was white and everything disappeared. After a few seconds, the fog dissipated, and the mist on the mountain peak was like green smoke. People who watched the scenery were all amazed, and as we climbed up, we found that such scenery followed all the way, which was beautiful. After about an hour of climbing, we reached the first peak (Pipi played on a dirt slope for a long time on the way). The scenery of the first peak is very open. There is a viewing pavilion with open wind on all sides. There is a large rugged rock next to the pavilion for tourists to sit and enjoy the view. From the first peak to the second peak, you have to take a fork in the road to get there. From the second peak back to the right road, through the Wulao Cave, it took more than 40 minutes to climb to the third peak. The third peak and the fourth peak are together. In the end, we spent five hours climbing and playing around the entire Wulao Peak. When the weather is fine, you can see Poyang Lake clearly when you climb to the top of Wulao Peak. Peaks 1 and 2 are together, peaks 3 and 4 are very close, and peak 5 is the farthest. People usually return to peak 4. Peak 4 is the highest peak.

When the sightseeing bus took us to Wulao Peak, we got off the bus and saw the beautiful rime. It was a snowy rime world, much more beautiful than the one in the town. We hurried to the entrance of Wulao Peak and were stopped by the staff, who said that this attraction was also closed! Other attractions will also be closed one after another, and Lushan Mountain is about to close. Other tourists who came with us also said that we should go in and take a look. The staff only let us take pictures and play at the entrance and not go up the mountain. What a disappointment! When we arrived, we had to walk around the entrance of Wulao Peak and take pictures of the rime.

Alas... Wulao Peak is located at the top of Mount Lushan. It is the most majestic and steep peak in Mount Lushan. How can you truly appreciate the poem "Looking from the side, it is a mountain, and looking from the front, it is a peak" if you don't climb Wulao Peak? ! I can only leave this regret as a reason for myself to come to Mount Lushan next time.

The second peak is very steep, basically 45 degrees. The first four peaks are relatively close, and the fifth is a bit far. After half an hour of climbing uphill, I finally came to a pavilion. In front of the pavilion, there are two roads, one leading to the fifth peak and the other down the mountain to Sandiequan. Unfortunately, it was foggy when I arrived at the fifth peak. I waited for half an hour and couldn't see anything.

The most respected person in the world is the old man with virtue; the most respected person in the world is the mountain with valleys. The old man with virtue, virtue matches the five elements; the mountain with valleys, the valleys contain all hearts.

This person understands the five virtues, and then he is respected as an elder; this peak is clear and tolerant, and then he is not lonely. Wulao Peak of Lushan Mountain should be the most enjoyable attraction in Lushan Mountain in terms of the whole tour process. I even think it is better than Sandiequan. Unfortunately, there was fog on the mountain when I went there, and I couldn’t see the beautiful scenery of "looking from the side you see mountains and looking from the front you see peaks, and the distances and heights are different". But it is still good. The distance from the trailhead to the first peak and from the fourth peak to the fifth peak is the longest. The distance from the first peak to the fourth peak is actually not long. The second peak is very fresh, and the fourth and fifth peaks are relatively high. Each has its own strengths. I hope there will be good weather next time I come.

Climb up the steps along the scenic road and you will reach the first peak in about half an hour, about 150 meters high. There are many viewing points along the way, where you can enjoy the clouds and mist of Mount Lushan.

We walked through the second and third peaks and saw the famous Lushan pine, which grew horizontally on the cliffs. The lower branch had been struck by lightning, leaving only a dead branch, which made people imagine more. There was also a peak that stood out like a stone pillar in the valley, which looked amazing, but unfortunately the photo could not capture the effect.

We arrived at the fourth peak at 9:40, which is the highest peak among the five old peaks, 1436 meters above sea level. Because the road from the fourth peak to the fifth peak is a little long, many tourists turn back here.

We continued to move forward and reached the fifth peak at 10:10. At this time, the mountain was completely shrouded in clouds and mist. Except for a few pine trees in front of us, nothing could be seen. Well, that's it.

Walk back about 100 meters from the Fifth Peak, and you will see a three-way intersection with a wooden shed. Go down the road next to the wooden shed, and you will reach the Sandiequan Cable Car Station in less than an hour. It is said that the scenic spot should set up signposts at this three-way intersection to facilitate tourists.

Wulao Peak has five peaks. Generally, people will choose to climb the first four peaks, which have better scenery and are closer, while the fifth peak is farther away. We chose the first and second peaks because we were scared when we heard that the third peak was dangerous... The scene of the West Sea Grand Canyon and the Hundred-Step Cloud Ladder is still vivid in our minds, so we climbed the first two peaks, but we were also very tired. It took us 1.5 hours to go up and return. The steps to climb the first peak are quite long and tiring, mainly to see the Eagle's Beak Stone. It is very close from the first peak to the second peak, and it can be climbed in 5-10 minutes, but the washboard road on the second peak is too strenuous to climb, there are no steps, and the top of the mountain is bare without handrails, which is also quite dangerous. The scenery is OK, but it is still slightly inferior to Huangshan.

As the name suggests, there are five peaks, and the scenery of the third peak is the most beautiful. From the fifth peak, you can continue to reach the Sandiequan Scenic Area, but the distance is far and it takes a long time. Famous mountains and rivers are all magnificent and shocking wherever you see. It is easy to reach the first and second peaks. On the top of the first peak, there is a pavilion called Daiqing Pavilion. Although it is noon, it is slightly cloudy and the mountain fog is hazy. Looking from a distance, you can only see the outline of the rocks and pine rocks. At the top of the second peak, there is a large group of steep and rugged rocks. You can use your hands and feet to see different distant mountain boulders from all positions and angles. The huge valley steep slope, the cliff of the mountain has a myriad of weathered rocks. Almost vertical steep walls, with several tenacious pine trees standing in the cracks of the rocks, full of vitality, no soil, what can I do. A few steps forward, you will reach the third peak, which is also the most open and diverse viewing place. Looking from the fourth peak, the mountains are locked in heavy fog, just waiting for a mountain rain. It is still far from Wufeng. If you don't go to San Diequan, you have to go back the same way. Give up Wufeng and go down the mountain easily.

Key points: Wulaofeng hiking tips: Starting from Wulaofeng sightseeing station, the hike to Wufeng is 2.36 kilometers: 800 meters from the starting point to the first peak, but there are many uphill roads, which takes about 30-35 minutes; only 80 meters from the first peak to the second peak, which takes 5 minutes; 400 meters from the second peak to the third peak, but there are many uphill roads, which takes about 20-25 minutes; the third peak and the fourth peak are next to each other, only 80 meters apart (the one with the canteen is the fourth peak, and the lonely hill with a fence on the pile of rocks next to it is the third peak); the fourth peak to the fifth peak is 1 kilometer apart, which takes about 30 minutes. Key points: There are three ways to go down from Wulao Peak. Please decide according to your physical strength:

1. Walk from the Fourth Peak to the Fifth Peak. There is a three-way intersection less than 100 to 200 meters away from the Wufeng Observation Deck. The third road leads to the entrance of the Sandiequan Scenic Area, where there is a sightseeing bus stop. But this is a continuous downhill road that takes about 50 minutes to walk. It is very tiring! We walked so hard that we doubted our lives! And it hurts our knees. It is not recommended!

2. Return to Wulaofeng Sightseeing Station from Wufeng along the original route. The pure hiking time is about 1.5 hours.

3. Give up Wufeng and return to Wulaofeng Sightseeing Station from Sifeng. The pure hiking time is about 1 hour.



Scenic review: It is more beautiful than Hanpokou, but in fact, the scenery seen from the top of the five peaks is the same, just from different angles. Compared with the first four peaks, the scenery seen from the fifth peak is the most open and unobstructed. It is really beautiful and I personally think it is worth a visit. Although the fifth peak is the farthest, it is actually only half an hour's walk one way, so you can consider it yourself!

This is not a place suitable for groups of both young and old. We just came here to check in, but the mountain was so foggy that we might not be able to see any scenery. We comforted ourselves like this.

Wulao Peak is definitely worth experiencing, because I couldn't get up in the morning and it was cloudy for several days during the Dragon Boat Festival, so I didn't bring a tripod. Otherwise, I really wanted to see the sunrise and experience it myself. After climbing the five peaks, I went down the mountain to Sandiequan Scenic Area, which took 2 hours. And don't go from Hanpokou. If you don't want to see the sunrise, go directly to the Wulao Peak intersection! !

As you enter the gate of the scenic area, you will go up all the way, which is a good start.

There is an eagle-beak rock in front of the second peak. The top of the second peak is covered with hard and smooth boulders. There is no ready-made road to walk on, so you can only go up carefully and hold on to the pine trunk to prevent slipping.

It is not easy for Lushan pine to grow on the cliff. Let it represent Lushan pine. The branches are twisted and twisted, but not straight and straight enough. The scenery of the four peaks is the most beautiful. On the way to the fifth peak, I looked back at the four peaks. The white house on the top of the mountain is a small shop. I bought a bottle of Sprite there and drank it all. With this bottle of Sprite as a base, I can walk all the way to Sandiequan. The view of the five peaks is really wide, and the whole area within a radius of 100 miles can be seen. The viewing platform is built on the jagged hard rocks.

If you don't go to the top of Wufeng, your trip to Lushan is in vain. From Wufeng, you can see the white house store on the top of Sifeng, where you can drink Sprite.

Go directly to the 5th peak, and go to Sandiequan from the 5th peak. Come on!

When I climbed to the first peak, I felt just so-so, but when I reached the second peak, I felt it was really interesting, like the Grand Canyon of the West Sea in Huangshan. The natural scenery of Lushan Mountain was elevated to the level of being equally important as the humanities.

Actually, I didn't expect much from the natural scenery of Lushan Mountain. I came to Lushan Mountain mainly to see the cultural landscape. But the fact was just the opposite. The cultural landscape of Lushan Mountain disappointed me (although the weather was perfect), but the natural landscape far exceeded my imagination. At Wulao Peak, I took the most satisfying photo of myself:) Sitting on the cliff, the clouds and mist rose, and the mountains behind me were looming. I immediately thought of the artistic conception of the teacher in Saint Seiya, which I loved to watch since childhood. Of course, it is very dangerous to be in such a place, don't imitate it easily! ! !

My journey to Wulao Peak can be summed up in four words: in the clouds and fog, haha! I went there at almost ten in the morning. The fog was so thick that I couldn't go up to Wufeng. I was blocked by a ladder, so I could only go down the mountain from the way to Sandiequan. The road leading to the Sandiequan parking lot is super long and there are very few people. I walked for almost an hour before I saw anyone. I was getting more and more frustrated as I walked. It felt like there was no end. The pedometer on my phone showed that I had climbed more than ninety floors... I don't know if there will be other ways to go down the mountain when I reach Wufeng. If you can only go down the mountain from the way to Sandiequan like me, it's better to return from the original way of Sifeng. It's very cold on the foggy mountain. It's so cold in the summer that I have to buy a raincoat to keep warm! You can't see the mountains and mountains on foggy days, but the scenery in the fog is also interesting. I feel like a fairy! 😄 When it's foggy on the top of the mountain, you can see flowing clouds at the foot of the mountain. It's the first time I've seen it and I think it's so beautiful!
