💐Highly recommended! I heard from a friend that Dongdaihe is great, so I drove there on the weekend. It was definitely worth the trip. There weren't many people at the beach this time of year. The sunrise and sunset at sea are beautiful, and the water is crystal clear.

🦀Catching crabs, digging clams, watching the sunrise and sunset...🏄It was relaxing and fun. I didn't want to leave after having so much fun. I regretted knowing about this place too late.

❤There is a fishing village near the beach. There are many farmhouses run by fishermen in the fishing village. We live in Dongsheng Farmhouse, which is not far from the beach. We can go to the beach anytime and anywhere. It is very convenient!

❤The farmhouse here is different from the ones we have visited before. Their business model is to provide food and accommodation in one, the price is very affordable, the boss is simple and honest, and he cooks delicious food. Most importantly, the guest rooms are also very clean.

👍During the May Day holiday, there is another great place for leisure and vacation. I sincerely recommend you to go.

I've been to a few places with great sea views. It's not the worst, but it's probably the second worst. People used to say that going to Beidaihe is not as good as going to Dongdaihe, and that's true. The sea here is indeed cleaner than Beidaihe, with fewer people, which are advantages. However, in terms of development and characteristics, it's still not as good as Beidaihe and Nandaihe. The attractions here have no characteristics at all. Even when I share the photos, I can't tell which scenic spot I went to and took the photo. If you ask me which scenic spot this is, the only answer I can give is "seaside".

Dongdaihe - Zhimao Bay. We spent some time at the wild beach near the farmhouse this morning. It was high tide, so we went back and asked the owner to arrange a fishing boat out to sea. The boat costs 500 yuan per boat, and you can take everything you catch. We were quite a group, 14 of us, so we negotiated with the boatman for an extra net. I personally think it's a bit of a loss to go out with so few people, so it's better to buy directly at the market. Everyone was excited when we pulled the net out. Unfortunately, the sea urchins were too small to eat, but we found five large octopuses, numerous crabs, and small fish. We had the owner of the farmhouse process them that evening, and it was quite a lot.

Dongdaihe offers three options: 1. Hotel (breakfast only); 2. Short-term rental apartment (no meals provided, cook your own food); 3. Farmhouse (charges per person, three meals a day, including seafood for lunch and dinner). Enjoy the seaside, see fishing boats and fishermen (I woke up at 4 a.m. to watch the sunrise, but waited two hours in vain. It was cloudy, so I went back for a nap). A must-do at the beach is taking a boat out to sea and fishing for seafood, using a trap called a ground trap. Escape the city's steaming cage... I came to the beach to escape the summer heat; it truly is a summer paradise.

By China-TravelNote users |

The water in Dongdaihe is pretty good. Although it's not that blue, it can still satisfy the desire to cool down and play in the water in the hot summer. The farmhouse we stayed in has a different business model from Nandaihe and Beidaihe. The food is free and the food is good. We stayed in the farmhouse for two days and ate a lot of seafood. The seafood was plump and the big flying crabs were very fresh and had a lot of meat. Thanks to the boss for helping us contact the fishing boat, which was much cheaper than if we contacted it ourselves. The fishing boat trip was a good experience, very interesting and fun, and the seafood we caught was ours. If you want to go to Dongdaihe, you can contact her at 13942975565

Dongdaihe was different from what I expected, which was a bit disappointing. It was all farmhouses. The management was average. The coastal scenery was under construction, with many high-rise buildings and some properties for sale. It still lags behind the big cities.

It is highly recommended to take the train to Dongdaihe because the highway is too congested. It is recommended to live in Kaisa Community, the beach is very good and suitable for children to play

By NONO's smile |

I've been to Beidaihe before, which was developed quite early, and later on, Nandaihe was created. Dongdaihe is said to have been named after Beidaihe by real estate developers to make their properties more affordable. It became an instant hit, and it certainly boosted local tourism. This time, watching the sunrise from my room and the beach in Dongdaihe was even better than in Beidaihe.

By Queena |

Dongdaihe and Beidaihe are both must-visit places in the Northeast. Since they are not far away, it is recommended to stay at the seaside for a few days with your family.

I went to Dongdaihe in mid-August 2015. At that time, the Dongdaihe scenic area had just opened and the water quality was still very good!

By NANA_LOVE_HK |

I went there three times in three consecutive years. It was really crowded. In addition to eating seafood, I also went on a speedboat. I don't know what else there is.

By @prodigal son |

We chartered a boat to go fishing, but it turned out to be a catching fish trip. The fishermen set their own traps. We took a speedboat to the traps, and there were baskets after baskets filled with crabs of varying sizes, octopuses, starfish, and small fish. Next, it was time to catch the octopus ourselves!

By The taste of the sea |

The emerald green sea, as soft as silk, ripples gently. From a high vantage point, the vast expanse stretches as far as the eye can see; yet sometimes, the water whispers softly at your feet...

The leaves and white sails, on the golden sea where the sky and water are one, are like a few snow-white feathers, floating gently and slowly.

By Black Child |

The sea water is not very good, and the accommodation and dining environments are dirty and messy.

By oscar |

As a newly developed tourist attraction, the facilities and services aren't quite up to date yet, and the beach is a bit dirty. It was past peak season when we visited, so the beach wasn't crowded and was quite quiet. The sand was also quite fine and comfortable to walk on.

By Seven Seven |

The sea is still very good, clean, blue and clear. Because it is not deep, it is suitable for children to play. The sand is not fine, there are many shells, and it feels not good to walk barefoot. There are also many more people than in previous years.

By /cupGG-each |

It has fallen, it has fallen. The beach is full of garbage. Mosquitoes fly all over me at the beach at night. I sprayed two kinds of mosquito repellent but they didn't work. The farmyard is dirty and messy. The mattress is cold on the ground and the quilt is placed everywhere. The house is dirty and smelly. The dining environment is very poor. The housing prices of Kaisa are scary. The bathing beach in the community is dirty and messy. There are cigarette butts and garbage on the beach. There are layers of shells on the beach. It hurts your feet. It has been overdeveloped, but the governance has not kept up. I don't ask to compare it with Saipan or Hawaii. It's okay if you are better than Beidaihe. I am so disappointed.

By Yanyanerer loves to eat big apples |

The container hotel is quite interesting. There is the sea opposite. It is very beautiful, but a little humid. By the way, this is the container hotel in Yintai Mercury in Dongdaihe.

By Xiaoyaohua |

Compared to Beidaihe and Nandaihe, Dongdaihe is relatively quiet and clean, but with the increasing number of people visiting during the peak season, it's expected to be completely overrun within two years (with deep sympathy and regret). The water here is relatively clean because it's not yet crowded, and there are many beaches along the coast, so you can definitely find a recreational area that suits you. The marine recreational facilities are similar, but it's still recommended to plan your trip carefully. Of course, the peak season is only three to four months a year, and the rest of the time it's deserted, which is largely due to the climate.

As for accommodation, there are farmhouses all along the route, and those along the coast are more expensive. We stayed at a farmhouse owned by a friend. It's a bit far from the beach, so you need to drive. It's 130 per person on weekdays, including three meals, and 150 per person on weekends. The food was excellent, and you could fully experience the local seafood feast! Seafood! Seafood! (Even though I'm from a coastal city, I just love it!)

Another thing to pay attention to is the traffic problem. Traffic jams are very serious during the peak season, so please plan ahead. It is also worth mentioning that some communities have fenced-in beaches and coastlines, which are good, and you can go into the community to play. When Beijing is in full swing of the dog days of summer, it is still worth a visit!

By Lmorningstar |

It is the peak tourist season again. The summer heat makes the city seem to be evaporating. However, the climate here is pleasant. Facing the sea, the cool breeze blows like the caress of a mother's gentle hands, allowing people to unload all their worries and wander in the embrace of nature, marveling at its wonders. Do you want to take a spontaneous trip? Do you want to throw away all your worries and have a relaxing vacation? Do you want to shake off the heat and kiss the cool pleasure of the sea water? Do you want to experience farm life away from the hustle and bustle of the city? Then come to Dongdaihe and Bijiamei Fisherman's House, where you can worry less about accommodation and entertainment. A seafood feast is waiting for you to make you feel like you are home.

The Dongdaihe Farmhouse is decent, but the water in Zhimao Bay is a bit dirty. The bathing beaches near Jieshi and Haibin Boulevard are quite overcharged. Setting up your own tent on the public beach costs 150 yuan. The service at the tourist reception desk is poor, and there's no way to complain. There's no regulation on the overcharges, like using the restroom for 2 yuan and washing your feet for 2 yuan.

It's a good idea to travel to the 90s fishing village in Dongdaihe. The sea water in Dongdaihe is clean and the food is fresh.

After wading through mountains and rivers, I arrived at the long-awaited coastal city of Dongdaihe. The beach here is soft, the air is fresh, the seafood tastes great, and the locals around are also very welcoming. It was a very good trip.

I went to Dongdaihe with my family and stayed at a farmhouse called Brothers Xinjiayuan Farmhouse. The fee is 150 yuan per person on weekdays and 120 yuan per person Monday through Thursday, including food and lodging. The owner is very kind, so I'm spreading the word for him. Summer vacation is coming soon, so if you're going, make reservations in advance. I also took a few photos, but no matter how good I say it, it won't be as good as seeing it in person.

Ha, I've only heard about it from friends before. Today I finally went. I stayed at the Happy Sea Fisherman's House, which was recommended by a friend. The beach in front is the Dongdaihe Yintai Bathing Beach. The owner of the farmhouse said it's a newly developed area. The water is really clean and the beach is very fine. Although I can't go in the sea or bathe in the sea, the seafood is definitely the freshest and fattest I've ever tasted. The taste is amazing. As for bathing in the sea, I will go there again in the summer. The clear sea water is waiting for me.

Beautiful ocean views, delicious seafood, and a bonfire party at night where everyone can light up sky lanterns—so romantic! Staying in a farmhouse, eating homegrown corn, crabs, and mantis shrimp—it was delicious. The only problem is that the local taxis are often illegal and not very friendly.

The environment is very good! It's worth a visit! It's very good with Nandaihe and Beidaihe!

By Sinian Little Lich |

Take the Wanjia exit on the Beijing-Harbin Expressway, then go straight through two major intersections until you reach Binhai Highway, the main thoroughfare in Dongdaihe. I highly recommend using Baidu Maps for accurate navigation! ~ Accommodation: Jingying Fisherman's House (This farmhouse is very clean and unique, with a picking garden, farm fields, and a freshwater fish pond for fishing. There are plenty of photo spots around. It's also not far from Zhimao Bay, less than a ten-minute drive or a taxi ride of just over ten yuan.) It's very affordable per night. The owners are very nice and welcoming.

By 807 |

In the whole Liaoning and Hebei regions, I personally feel that Dongdaihe is the best. The environment and consumption level are acceptable to ordinary people. I highly recommend Dongdaihe. The seawater bath is very comfortable and it is a world of play for children! But you must be careful not to get sunburned, otherwise you will be miserable after returning home. Look at what this little one has become after being sunburned by the scorching sun. His skin is peeling when he gets home.

By Zongzi |

At night, Dongdaihe has Kongming lanterns and fireworks, which are quite interesting. Parking on the open beach is free, and vehicle damage is at your own risk. The community's private beach is relatively clean and less crowded, and the sand is very comfortable.

By Misty Morning Breeze |

The newly developed seafood farmhouses in the past couple of years are still very simple and honest, unlike the heavily commercialized Zhimao Bay area or the shabby Shougang Sanatorium area. The beach is very clean, with fine sand and fairly complete facilities, including a sand sculpture world, a children's playground, and beach karaoke. The sound quality isn't great, but who cares when you're enjoying a bonfire, a glass of wine, and a singalong? The wooden boardwalk is beautifully built, and you can rent tandem bicycles for an evening ride around the beach, which is quite pleasant. I recommend visiting on weekdays and making dumplings on weekends, as there are only a few clean, uncrowded beaches near Beijing.

By Horseback Riding |

Suizhong is a great place for vacation (many people buy sea view houses or villas there specifically for vacation and recuperation), with mountains, water and the sea.

By Isabella |

Not bad for Northeast China! A tent costs 50 yuan! It's a bit dark, so be careful of jellyfish. Everything else is fine!

By Like quicksand- |

Suizhong's coastline is mostly sandy, soft and comfortable to walk on. The water is relatively clean and not too dirty when the wind and waves are relatively calm. However, if the wind and waves are strong, the water may appear a little dirty.

The services near the coast are not very good and are quite expensive, but the prices on the coast in China are generally higher.

If you want to take a shower after swimming in the sea, you have to go to the bathroom, which costs about 10 yuan per person.

By _Mental barriers |

The water is very clear, there are few people, and it is more suitable for travel than Beidaihe

Huludao Beach is more worth visiting than Beidaihe!

By China-TravelNote users |

I've been there a few times. In 2015, there weren't many people, the sea was clean, there weren't many supporting facilities, and there were a lot of speedboats and motorcycles. But in recent years, there have been too many people, and the prices have been a bit high. It's nice to see the sea.

By Bobo Love Naughty |

Overall, Dongdaihe remains a must-visit destination for Beijingers heading to the beach in the summer. I personally find the beach cleaner and less crowded near the docks west of Kaisa and Haitianyi. It's cleaner and less crowded than the power plant. For farmhouse accommodations, Xiaoli Village is a good choice, while Kaisa is the place for more comfortable accommodations. There are now many recreational facilities on the beach, and they remain open at night.

By Pig Conai Di Travel |

The sea water is relatively clean and the beach sand is also OK. The beach is very shallow.

By Heart to the end of the world |

Accommodation in Dongdaihe generally includes both accommodation and meals, costing 120-150 yuan per person per day. Lunch and dinner include seafood, but alcohol is sold separately. Farmhouses farther from the sea generally offer better food and more comfortable decor. Those closer to the sea are less attractive, but offer a more convenient location.

By swallow |

When I'm in Beijing and want to go to the nearest beach, my first thought is Beidaihe. But Beidaihe is really not worth going to right now; it's too dirty. A friend recommended Kaisa Resort in Dongdaihe, and I've been there twice this year. The first time I went, I was so amazed. I had no idea there was such a clean sea near Beijing, so I decided to go again in late summer. Haha.

There are several beaches in Dongdaihe: Kaisa, Anchor Bay, Power Plant, and Time Sea—those are the ones I know of. I previously saw a friend on China-TravelNote list all the beaches in Dongdaihe and review them one by one. It was fantastic. We went to Kaisa twice because the beach there was so clean, so we didn't go anywhere else. We only stopped by Time Sea on the second return trip and spent some time there.

Let's start with Kaisa. It's rumored to be a private beach, but since it's behind the Kaisa complex, people wouldn't normally think there's a beach behind it, so they'd miss it. But now that more and more people know about it and it's become famous, it can't really be called a private beach anymore, haha. There are two ways to get to Kaisa. The first is to drive close to the Kaisa complex, then walk to the lobby entrance and take a free electric scale car. The electric scale car will take you to the beach, and you'll also take the electric scale car back. The second way is to drive directly to the beachfront parking lot, which is free, but they say they won't cover any scratches or scuffs.

This beach was developed by Kaisa Group of Hong Kong. The water is clean and shallow, so shallow that my 3-year-old child walked a long way and still managed to touch the ground. The thatched umbrellas, lounge chairs, and beds on the beach are free. There are 20 of them in total, but you get them early so they don't take up space.

The first time we went, we didn't know there was a free one, so we rented it for 300. The second time we went, we were about to set up the tent when an old lady next to us said, "You guys can use ours, we're leaving." That's when I realized there was a free one.

If you want to spend the whole day at the beach, you don't have to worry about lunch. You can buy lunch at the beachfront sales office, including boxed lunches, dumplings, sandwiches, and sausages. Don't be fooled by the thought that the boxed lunches are bad; they're delicious, costing 28 yuan each and including a bottle of water. The sausages are also delicious, costing 6 yuan each.

Our first visit was in early July, and it was a fantastic experience. Our second visit was on August 22nd, and the water wasn't as clear as the first time. So, if you want to visit Dongdaihe, it's best to do it sooner rather than later, while you can still go in the next two years. In another two years, it's likely to be as clean as Beidaihe.

There's also Time Sea, which is located behind the Shijianhai property. It has a children's playground, a carousel, a miniature airplane, and a few electronic toys, all priced around 10 yuan per person. Because Time Sea is less popular, the water is cleaner than Kaisa's. However, due to its lack of development, the service seems to be lacking. However, you can catch small fish in schools there, which is quite fun.

The attractions mentioned in the above itinerary
