Jinshitan Geopark feels like the core attraction of Jinshitan. The scenery is stunning, but only if you choose to walk. There are a few pitfalls to avoid: 1. If you choose to take a taxi, you must go to the tourist service center where the light rail is located. If you stop at the first tourist service center you see, they only offer package tickets. Our taxi had already left, so we opted for the package, and the tourist center bus took us to the light rail location for a bus ride. The other attractions in the package were truly boring. 2. After getting off the light rail, you'll need to pay 20 yuan for the bus ticket, and 70 yuan for the Geopark ticket. The guides on the bus will suggest you buy a boat ticket for the tour. Don't believe them; the walk isn't as strenuous as they say, and it won't take two hours. You can see Turtle Back Rock without taking the boat. The scenery is beautiful on foot. More importantly, the guides said the boat ticket was discounted at 180 yuan from the bus, but we saw a window selling boat tickets along the way, and the round-trip price was 100 yuan.

Because it is far from the city center, I was quite conflicted. However, my friends who had been to Dalian said that the light rail line is indeed there and the transportation is quite convenient. After seeing the various promotional videos that were so breathtaking, I, who love nature, immediately decided to go.

However, just as we were so excited, even carrying our tripods, and after an hour-long bus ride, we arrived at the Golden Pebble Beach Visitor Center, only to discover it was practically empty. The only open ticket window informed us that all the outdoor attractions were closed, leaving only a few indoor venues open. We were asked if we wanted to go. At that moment, I just thought, "Oh my god! What kind of holiday is this? Even the 5A scenic spots are closed!" So, when I tried to ask again, the Dalian woman, perhaps sensing my disappointment, reassured me by saying, "Go straight to the Golden Coast, it's open." Well, I'm here, so something's better than nothing.

To be honest, a deserted beach is a bit scary. The sound of waves hitting the beach is a bit creepy, like the howling of ghosts and wolves, if you listen carefully.

Buy an 8-yuan light rail ticket at Dalian Railway Station and ride to the last stop, which is Jinshitan Station. When you get out, just go to the visitor center and buy a 20-yuan sightseeing ticket. (Keep the ticket stub with you to get on and off the train.) I don't think any other packages or yacht tickets are necessary. After all, you're just going to see the sights, so a 70-yuan ticket to the Geopark is enough. Don't believe the guide who says a two-hour walk to the Geopark is tiring. It's actually quite rewarding if you just walk and take photos along the way.

After leaving the geological park, there is a free Gold Coast beach, which is also beautiful.

Jinshitan National Tourist Resort, a scenic area that blends natural scenery—low hills, sea erosion, and coastal landscapes—with modern cultural attractions, offers a perfect escape, both in terms of program and time. Although 60km from downtown Dalian, the Rapid Rail Line 3 runs from Dalian Railway Station to Jinshitan Station in approximately 50 minutes.

Jinshitan Station is located in the center of the entire resort. About 1 km to the southwest is the Gold Coast, 500 meters to the east is the Jinshitan Cultural Expo Plaza, and it is only 5 km to the Dinosaur Back of the Jinshitan Coastal National Geopark in the southeast, a 10-minute taxi ride. The Jinshi Tourist Loop East Line takes about 40 minutes (the ticket price is 20 yuan, valid all day and can be taken multiple times). There is also the Jinshitan Bus No. 1 available.

Metro Line 3 runs from 06:00 to 20:32, with a 10-minute interval and a fare of 8 yuan. It's very convenient to use the Dalian Transportation e-communication app to scan the code and ride.

For route planning from Dalian city to Jinshitan, it is recommended to consider 2 days and 1 night.

Case 1

D1 Discovery Kingdom. Stay in a hotel or B&B inside or near the scenic area to watch the fireworks show. There may be an additional night show during the summer.

Day 2: Jinshitan Coastal National Geopark. Walk along the trail while admiring the jagged rocks and circling seagulls. In the afternoon, visit 2-3 exhibitions at the Jinshitan Cultural Expo Plaza based on your interests. Return in the afternoon.



Case 2

Day 1: Spend the morning at the Golden Pebble Beach Cultural Expo Square, visiting 2-3 exhibitions based on your interests. In the afternoon, explore the Golden Beach, play on the sand, swim, and experience paragliding, motorboating, and sightseeing boats. Accommodation will be available near the square and beach.

An adult full-day ticket to Discovery Kingdom is 209 yuan, with discounted tickets for children and seniors, and various annual passes ranging from 380 yuan to 1,480 yuan.

The Golden Pebble Beach Resort is a vast area, primarily comprised of two scenic coastal zones: the Ten-Mile Golden Coast and the Binhai National Geopark, as well as the Discoveryland Amusement Park. The four roller coasters at Discoveryland are absolutely thrilling, and the facilities and attractions are among the best in China. While the visuals and scenery still lag behind those at Disneyland, they are still considered top-tier in China. The two coastal zones each have their own unique characteristics, representing typical marine depositional and sea erosion landforms, respectively. A visit to Golden Pebble Beach is a must-see. Transportation to Golden Pebble Beach is also convenient from downtown, with Line 2 connecting directly to the Golden Pebble Beach in just one hour. Highly recommended!

A few days before coming to Dalian, I kept praising Dalian’s natural environment, air quality, and cultural environment. However, the day I decided to go on a one-day tour to Golden Pebble Beach ruined all my good impressions of Dalian. We booked a car in the hotel lobby because we had children for the one-day tour, and the driver fooled us with all kinds of tricks. We didn’t have the idea of being greedy for small profits, we just wanted to take the children out for fun, but what happened? Is there no trust between people anymore? On the way to Golden Pebble Beach, the driver said he would take us to see the real scenery of Dalian, and that we could go fishing in the sea. It would cost 380 yuan per person, and they were all pheasant attractions. We have children and we dared not say anything. Everyone really shouldn’t sign up for all the projects in Dalian’s one-day tour. Although it is not good to say that everything is bad, in order to avoid being cheated, everyone should still choose carefully. And Golden Pebble Beach is really not as good as it is said. One star is enough.

It is especially beautiful when the weather is clear and the sea is blue, but the effect is very poor on cloudy days! I like the natural scenery here, the beach, reefs, cliffs, bay... It is very suitable for taking wedding photos! Many customers from other places also come here! I hope that the functional areas here have more features, I think it will be better

There are many attractions to explore here, such as Discovery Kingdom, the Film and Television Art Center, and the World Celebrity Wax Museum. Some are included in the combined ticket, while others require separate tickets. It's important to plan your itinerary well in advance. We were mainly interested in the geological landscape, so we didn't focus on these attractions. Golden Pebble Beach is located in Jinzhou District, Dalian, over 50 kilometers from downtown. A round-trip taxi ride is not cheap, but if you have time, you can take the Jinshitan Line rapid rail line. The Jinshitan ticket office is right outside the station, selling only combined tickets and shuttle bus tickets. If you want to purchase tickets for individual attractions, you'll need to purchase them at the entrance.

This is a much cleaner beach outside of Dalian city. Unlike the pebbles in the city, it's all clean sand. And there are almost no people for miles. You can take the light rail directly to it. It's about an hour's drive from the city.

We walked and took photos along the beach. At the end, there were strange-shaped reefs and a small hill protruding from the sea, the kind that you could walk over by crossing the water.

We also discovered a lot of amazing little critters under the rocks! They were tiny crabs! Crabs of all sizes swarmed around right under our feet! One couple even caught a bunch with a drink bottle and released them!

Only after I arrived did I realize that there are many attractions on Golden Stone Beach, and they are very scattered. There happened to be a bus near the express rail station, so I asked about the tour route and bought a bus ticket. Now I really feel that the tour route is very important. I must ask more locals, which can achieve twice the result with half the effort.

The classic attraction of Jinshitan is Binhai National Geopark, which has beautiful scenery and stunning geological landscapes dating back 600 million years. Each section of the scenery is unique and is definitely worth a visit.

The scenic spots are good, including the entire coast, but the public service connections are not well arranged.

It takes about 40 minutes to get from Dalian to Jinshitan, and the light rail goes directly there! But don't run into those ticket sellers at Dalian Station, they are not reliable! And you will waste your money. After getting off the bus, you can get a small map at the door, and then start your tour! It is recommended to start from a distance. There are also direct buses, which is very convenient, and you can enjoy the scenery along the way. Maybe you will meet a beautiful girl! The food and drinks sold there are more expensive, so you should bring enough food with you! If you want to take a boat, you will need 180 yuan to take a boat to the edge of the geological park. The scenery there is okay, but if you go in the water, it is recommended to take a pair of shoes for swimming! That's basically it, I had a lot of fun

The hardware facilities of Jinshitan are a bit poor, such as toilets, restaurants...

Jinshitan Beach is located in northeastern Dalian, approximately 50 to 60 kilometers from the city center. It's said to have the best water quality in Dalian. Jinshitan's ten-mile golden coastline is divided into two sections, east and west, by a prominent hill in the center, where the Luneng Hilton Hotel sits. The sand in the western section is finer, while the eastern section is coarser. Locals say Dalian's beaches are all rocky, with no natural sandy beaches. These are artificially constructed using sand transported in annually.

The entire area is clean and tidy, the buildings are quite distinctive, and its coastline is 30 kilometers long. If you have plenty of time, it would be very pleasant to live a slow life here.

I personally prefer the beach at Jinshitan; the sand is clean and fine. I took the express train from Dalian to Jinshitan early in the morning, and it was relatively quiet. Many children were heading to the attractions there, which wasn't for me, so I didn't even consider it. It was relatively quiet here, perhaps because I arrived early; I don't like noisy places.

There are small stones on the beach. I went out to sea and fed the seagulls. I was very seasick.

Jinshiyuan Park, the Dome Experience Hall, and the Museum of the Secrets of Life are great! (Be sure to listen to the tour guide) They are definitely worth a visit. However, the Gold Coast is very ordinary, and the Dinosaurs Exploring the Sea and the Beethoven Stone are not worth seeing.

It's quite far from the city, requiring a light rail ride of about an hour. If you're staying here, remember the last light rail departure is 7:30 PM! The ride from Dalian Station to Golden Stone Beach takes about an hour and costs 8 yuan. You need to buy a ticket at the light rail station and get off in the Free Trade Zone, where you can transfer to the final stop, Golden Stone Beach. If you miss the ride, you'll have to pay over 100 yuan for a taxi. The beachfront facilities here are more prosperous and diverse than those in Xingcheng.

The landscape is truly breathtaking, with several kilometers of coastal trails, accompanied by crashing waves and breathtaking views. The scenery becomes even more stunning as you venture deeper into the area, where the scenery is less crowded. Colorful rocks coexist with the azure sea and sky. The park's treasure, the Turtle Back Rock, quietly lies deep within the park's cape, awaiting your arrival...

Also, the name of the geological park is too scientific, so it is recommended to change its name to Jinshitan National Park.

The park charges a fee, but we didn't enter the park because the weather was bad. In the parking lot outside the park, you can see the Beethoven head and the dinosaur exploring the sea.

The Beethoven Head is a sea-eroded mound on a sea-eroded platform. It is named because its shape resembles the head of the great music master Beethoven.

I personally didn't think the Cultural Expo exhibits were anything special, but my mom loved the various rocks on display at the Geology Museum. They were truly beautiful, with unique shapes, and the rocks were beautifully arranged. There are two ways to get to the Geopark: you can either hike up the mountain and enjoy the scenery, or take a speedboat to admire the rocks from a distance.

I'd always heard the water at the Geopark was incredibly clean, but I don't know if it was the wrong timing or something else, but I didn't find it as pristine as the rumors suggest. The Gold Coast, on the other hand, was fantastic. It was a large beach. While there were a lot of small rocks, making walking a bit rough, the view of such a vast coastline was still refreshing. Sitting on the beach under an umbrella was incredibly cool. Jinshiyuan is a small attraction I really like, but it was completely deserted. Perhaps everyone comes to Jinshiyuan to see the ocean, not the rocks. The rocks at Jinshiyuan are all golden, with naturally formed patterns and patterns. It's said that many years ago, these rocks were part of the sea, and now the sea level has dropped, exposing them, creating this natural landscape. Walking between the rocks feels like walking in a small canyon.

The only place worth visiting in the entire resort is the geological park. The sand on the Gold Coast is too coarse, and there is no free water to rinse your feet when you leave. It seems that there are private paid bathrooms where you can change clothes. This public service is very poor.

I always read reviews, never write them myself, but I'm sharing my thoughts on a trip to Dalian. I'm deeply moved by the tour guides and some of the boat and bus service staff. Don't you have any conscience? Aren't you afraid of retribution? They're rip-offs, scams, and everything! A word of advice to everyone visiting Dalian: the ocean view isn't half as good as in Weihai, Qingdao, Shandong, and the food is a hundred times worse than at Tsingtao Beer House! Are you crazy broke? A trip to Lushun, 500 yuan, supposedly about warships and submarines, but then they took us to see a sitcom, let us feed wild tigers and lions, and then, 10 minutes out at sea, they gave us a hairy bread to feed pigeons! They took us to the mall and tricked us into buying things! Damn, I paid, okay? 200+500 and it's still a shopping tour? They kept dragging their feet. Can you please not let me see them? They didn't even take us to Golden Stone Beach or the core scenic area, the geological park. Just take pictures at the entrance and leave?! They took us to buy seafood specialties! Fishing in Shanghai! If you're just checking in, just explore on your own; it's cheaper than joining a tour group! The geological park, Shengya is quite good, I wish you all a happy trip!

We went to the bathing beach and ate at the food stalls. The bathing beach was super crowded and the scenery was average. The sea in the distance was blue and there were many small stones on the beach, which was just right for sitting without worrying about the sand. The seafood food stall was too much. We ate at 20 stalls. The seafood was not only expensive but also not fresh. The big fish was not interesting at all. It was completely incomparable to the food stalls in the city. I strongly do not recommend going there.

It was cloudy when I went there, but the sun came out at the end of the day. The scenery under the sun was really beautiful. It's not very good to take pictures on cloudy days.

Light rail tickets cost 8 yuan per person, purchased from behind Dalian Railway Station. Upon entering, a staff member told us to go to the self-service ticket office and then told us not to take the boat! After buying our tickets, we boarded the bus (which was quite air-conditioned but very cold, so I recommended bringing a light jacket). After getting off the light rail, there's a visitor center on the right. I skipped the tour guide and bought a 20-yuan bus ticket, which seems to be to the sixth stop, the Geopark. There's a guide on the bus. After getting off, I headed down a small path, bought my ticket, and began the tour. At the end, I reached a wooden bridge. At this point, I had to walk back a bit (there's a waiting area on the way there). It took about a minute to wait for the bus and reach the final spot where I could see the Turtle Back Rock. Overall, it was nice and fun, but the steps and benches were built up the hillside, so I think sneakers would be more comfortable, so I'd bring flip-flops. Finally, I could go into the sea, but it was quite dirty, covered in kelp and seaweed.

It takes about an hour to get to Golden Pebble Beach from downtown Dalian, which is quite far. The tour guide was quite diligent and introduced us to Dalian and Golden Pebble Beach. Golden Pebble Beach is a national tourist resort approved by the state in 1992, so I guess it should be quite mature.

Today we will first go on a fishing boat, fish, and steam seafood; then we will go to the glowing stone in the National Geopark. I think those who study geology should be very interested in it, and as a science student, I am also quite interested in it; we will have lunch at the resort at noon, and then we will relax and play on the coast in the afternoon. The itinerary sounds relaxing and enjoyable!

Our bus then arrived at a pier, where we began our journey of playing with seagulls, eating seafood and shellfish, and fishing in the sea. I looked at the entrance fee, and it seemed like the price for this round was 220. It would be a big loss for one person to come alone, and it didn't look like you could get a discount online.

This time the seagulls were closer than yesterday in Lushun, following me almost not far away, it was spectacular!

By the way, when you're on a fishing boat, someone might take your picture. They'll develop the picture and ask you to pay for it when you leave. What if you don't want to? Simply tell them you don't want to look into the camera when they ask you to.

We boarded a fishing boat and stopped at a stopover. The fishermen there steamed a pot of seafood for the seven of us to try. The bottom part had a slightly salty taste to it! Even more amazing was the shell meat, which contained tiny crabs. Could they have grown from eating crabs? The tiny crabs even had roe! Simply toss the shells back into the sea—truly from the sea, to the sea!

Golden Stone Beach is far away from Dalian city. You need to go to Dalian Railway Station and take Metro Line 3 to get there. It takes about 1.5 hours, so you need to calculate the time in advance.

The Golden Pebble Beach Scenic Area is a famous tourist attraction in Dalian. It's approximately 60 kilometers from the city center, requiring a light rail or car ride. With so many attractions, I carefully searched online for guides and decided it would be best to explore the core attractions on my own.

After arriving at the terminal station, Jinshitan Station, the tourist center is not far to the right after exiting the station.

You can buy a package or individual attraction tickets. The best option is to buy a combined ticket for the tourist bus. It costs 20 yuan per ticket and runs every ten minutes or so. It takes you directly to each attraction and allows you to ride it anytime, anywhere.

There are guides on the bus who will introduce the attractions along the way. The tourism service in Dalian is great, there is no hard selling, and the guides are very friendly.

The tour bus is a circular route. The final destination is the Jinshitan National Geopark, which is also the entrance to the golf course.

The buildings in the scenic area are quite unique. By the way, I have to briefly mention that there is also an amusement park here - Discovery Kingdom, which is an amusement park that almost every student in Dalian will go to. You can go to a nightclub, but the last light rail train is at 19:30, so you may miss it.

There are many strange rocks and landscapes, and it is also a great place for taking photos. Because it was after May Day and Dalian’s tourist season had just arrived, there were not many people at all.

The sea in Dalian is really beautiful. I only went to the geological park, and the ticket price was 70 yuan. I walked two kilometers up and down the coastal plank road, which was quite tiring, but the scenery was really amazing. The sea in the north is more rugged. On the way back, I took a speedboat, which was also 70 yuan per person, which is a bit expensive. The speedboat driven by the uncle was not very fast, so I was not very satisfied.

Dalian Golden Pebble Beach is a good beach for summer fun in June and July.

It left me with a very deep and beautiful impression. This scenic area is very large and consists of multiple areas. The best part is of course the natural scenery (seaside). There are many families playing and sunbathing on the beach, and there are also delicious grilled squid.

The only downside is the service. When we first entered the scenic area and took the shuttle bus, the manager (the one standing in front of the bus door) had a very bad attitude. I just asked if this was the bus to XX, and the manager immediately got furious: "If you want to get on, get on. Why are you wasting time?" I was speechless...

Golden Stone Beach - Cracked Wall recommends Golden Stone Beach Geopark. After getting off the sightseeing bus and walking a few hundred meters, you'll enter the Geopark. The first thing you'll see is the boundless expanse of the Yellow Sea, its waters crystal blue and clear. Having just rained yesterday, today's sky is clear, and the blue sky, white clouds, and sea create a breathtaking spectacle. The children were delighted to see such a beautiful sea for the first time in Dalian, and they cheered along the way. We followed the hiking trail, with steep cliffs on one side and the vast ocean on the other. The winding path leads uphill and then down to the seaside. The sea crashes against the rocks, creating a roaring sound. Here, the mountains and sea blend together, and the strange rocks stand in a forest, creating a majestic and rare spectacle. "Stone Monkey Watching the Sea," "Dinosaurs Exploring the Sea," "Roc Spreading Its Wings," "Beethoven's Head," "Hedgehog Foraging," "Crab About to Emerge from its Hole"... From west to east, diverse natural landscapes stretch in a line, a natural wonder, a masterpiece of craftsmanship.

The Jinshitan National Tourist Resort is located in the eastern part of Dalian's Jinzhou District, 58 kilometers from downtown. Surrounded by the sea on three sides, Jinshitan enjoys a pleasant climate. First of all, I declare that I am a native of Chengdu and have never seen the sea.

Let’s talk about the scenery first. For me, it is really beautiful. Maybe it has something to do with the weather. The blue sky, white clouds and the endless sea (see picture)



Travel preparations: weather (choosing a good day may affect your feelings and mood for the whole day, choose a sunny day) backpack (a bottle of water, one or two packs of snacks)



There are two types of transportation: a tourist bus or traveling on your own. In fact, both are good. The tourist bus costs 20 yuan per person, and there is no limit on the number of rides per day. I chose to travel on my own. Didi from the express rail station to the geological park costs 12 yuan, and the return trip depends on luck. In addition, the bus from the exit of the geological park to the entrance of the scenic area is free, don't worry, this is not the same as the tourist bus



I personally recommend traveling on your own. After visiting the Geopark, I went to the Gold Coast. I have to say, the shared bicycles are awesome. I found two shared bicycles right at the exit of the Geopark. I felt that this was the happiest part of the journey where I interacted the most with my partner.



Time: leave home at 10am, enter the geological park at 11am, come out at 3am, go to the Gold Coast at 4am, and return to Dalian at 5am... A fulfilling and wonderful day

From downtown Dalian, take the express line 3 to Jinshitan Station, the terminus. For a seaside experience, we recommend the Geopark and the Golden Coast. The Golden Coast is quite close to the terminus, about a kilometer away. It's a stretch of yellow sand, and you can walk there using your phone's navigation. The Geopark offers stunning scenery, but it's a bit far away, and there are many touts who will take you to a speedboat station, telling you you can't get there without a boat. Don't believe them; just get to the entrance of the scenic area. If that doesn't work, take another car.

We decided to take the light rail after reading the guide, but after buying a round-trip tour bus ticket at the customer service center, my wife, convinced by the bus staff, opted for a speedboat ride to the geopark for 180 yuan per person and 50 yuan for the child. Once we were aboard, we were completely at the mercy of the authorities. Don't buy the fishing net or bucket; there were no crabs or fish to catch. It wasn't as fun as Bangchui Island. To see the national geopark, you must hike now; the ticket is only 70 yuan, and the scenery is beautiful.

Jinshitan is good for visiting the core area of the geological park. It costs 70 yuan per person plus 20 yuan for the sightseeing bus. It is very beautiful after a day of sightseeing.

The Golden Pebble Beach Scenic Area is located far from the city center, about a two-hour drive from Dalian's 5A-rated scenic area. You can ride a bicycle, feed seagulls, and fish...

I saw some people going there to play, so I was going to go there too. But an old man told me that it would cost 20 yuan to walk over there. I asked him why he was charging. Isn't this a public beach? Who set the fee? He said arrogantly that I contracted this place and I set it. I said that other people who walked over there were charged? But he charged 20 yuan for a place that was not pointed out. I really want to complain to him. The place is shown in the picture below. The Golden Stone Beach National Tourist Resort is located northeast of downtown Dalian. From the north square of Dalian Railway Station, you can take Light Rail Line 3 to Golden Stone Beach. The ticket costs 8 RMB and the journey takes about an hour. Golden Stone Beach is perhaps best known for its Discoveryland, the Ten-Mile Golden Coast, and the National Geopark. This trip to Golden Stone Beach was primarily for the other attractions besides Discoveryland. The sea, the mountains, and the museums were all very enjoyable! These museums include the Museum of Mysteries of Life and the Golden Stone Beach Wax Museum, which can be visited together with a package deal online. We also visited the Golden Stone Park and the Geopark, which were also very interesting to see. The most unremarkable aspect of the area was the Golden Coast. I didn't find it particularly special; it was just like any other beach. The sand was indeed soft, and the water quality was average. Golden Stone Beach is truly a wonderful place for a vacation; you never get tired of it. If you have the time, you should definitely spend a few days here to enjoy the scenery!

Regarding Golden Pebble Beach, we followed online guides and travelogues and only visited the National Geopark and the Ten-Mile Golden Coast. These are two very reliable places, but the Golden Coast was still very crowded! The National Geopark is divided into two parks. The first park is very sparsely populated, probably because more people choose to take the boat, so there are not many tourists here. The first park ends at a beach, and there is no road beyond it, so you need to walk back a bit. The second park is where you take the boat, and it is very crowded! I highly recommend hiking. The first park has beautiful scenery. The hiking route is along the coast and there are plank roads. It is worth walking ~ and you can walk slowly. There are four or five opportunities to get close to the sea. However, the beach is basically sandy and gravel, which is a bit painful to walk barefoot, and there is a lot of seaweed. But the advantage is that there are fewer people~

Ps: 1. I have to say that the 20-yuan bus will have a tour guide to introduce the area. She will recommend taking a boat and tell you that you can only walk all the way to dark on this hiking route and cannot give up halfway. If there are no elderly people or very young children, it is recommended to hike. There are fewer people along the way and the scenery is absolutely worth it. 2. The park mentioned here is actually not very accurate. It is actually a scenic spot divided into two places, and you need to take a bus to transition in the middle.

In terms of scenery and characteristics, it does have some, the Turtle Back Rock is a big selling point, and the water quality of the Gold Coast is also clear and clean.

However, the management is chaotic! Various tour guides promote speedboat tours to the island, confusing the concept of Turtle Back Rock with the concept of Geopark. The prices range from 180-260. It's not that it's not worth it, but it's really inflated! There are many traps.

There is too much Ulva at the Turtle Back Rock, which is harmful to the water quality of the sea.

They charge 2 yuan for a life jacket, which is unreasonable. Shouldn't the life jacket be included in the price of the speedboat?

The Dalian Tourism Bureau really needs to reflect on this. I used to think Dalian was cleaner than Qingdao, but now Dalian has really regressed!

We arrived at Golden Stone Beach in the afternoon and bought bus tickets from the tourist service center. The guide on the bus explained that the hike to the National Geopark would require climbing two hills and taking two and a half hours, with an entrance fee of 70 RMB. Another option was to take a speedboat to the Geopark, with round-trip transfers, and then visit the Geopark directly after landing, which cost 180 RMB. However, upon landing, we were only able to wander around Turtle Back Rock, which is just a rock and a small stretch of beach. We wanted to go in through the Geopark exit, but were told that boat passengers were not allowed. After arriving by speedboat, we were charged an additional 2 RMB for removing our life jackets and placing them at the boat boarding area. Crucially, they didn't charge us until we were about to board the boat. A sign mentioned a 2 RMB storage fee, which you'd assume meant for storing your belongings. The uncle at the check-in counter was particularly rude. When we paid and took our life jackets back, he gave us two moldy, old-fashioned ones. I asked if we could exchange them for the better ones, since we were wearing the same ones when we arrived, and since it was a check-in, he should give us our old ones. The uncle told us to wait until someone else got one, and then give it to us. He left us hanging, leaving us with no choice but to wear the two dirty, old ones. When the people behind us were getting theirs, the uncle went inside and got two better ones. I don't know if he was doing it to show us. Overall, I have a very bad impression of Dalian, and of Dalian people as well.

The scenery and ticket price don't match. The fog also affects the view. The beach is not clean and the price is expensive.

Take the express train from Dalian Station to Jinshitan, which costs 8 yuan and takes about an hour to get there!

It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the station to the beach. There's almost no shade along the way, so be sure to use sunscreen! The sand is average quality, not very fine, with some small stones. But it's not crowded here.

On the way to Jinshitan, the drizzle became heavier and heavier. When we arrived at the destination, we began to reconsider our route.

The core scenic area, the geological park, is not convenient to visit, so we actually spent 20 yuan per person on a sightseeing bus to visit the free attractions of Golden Stone Beach. Although we missed the strange-shaped rocks, we saw the beautiful beach in Dalian: the ten-mile golden coast. It was all worth it!

I spent two and a half days exploring Dalian. I first visited Golden Pebble Beach and then Sun Asia, briefly enjoying Xinghai Square and the coastal promenade. I thought Dalian's scenery was generally beautiful, and with the sunny weather, it truly lives up to its reputation as a romantic city if you're traveling with someone you love. Because we were pressed for time, we only visited two spots in Golden Pebble Beach: the Geopark and Golden Beach. The light rail from the train station was a quick, eight-yuan ride to the scenic area. We bought a 20-yuan bus ticket, hopping on and off at any time throughout the journey. We first visited the Geopark, the last stop. The sky was slightly overcast with some sea fog, but the temperature was just right. Walking along the beach was refreshing, a refreshing feeling, like drinking wine in the breeze, forgetting all the ups and downs. The walking trails in the Geopark were even more captivating than the coastal promenade. The Yadan landforms, shrouded in clouds and mist, gave the illusion of a fairyland in Penglai. We took lots of photos together, even kicking in the waves. She particularly loves the sea, brimming with the bohemian spirit of a student, a delicate heart, and a strong character. The trail ends at the geological wonder Turtle Back Rock. The guide explained there are only two of these in the world, leaving us in awe of the wonders of nature. We returned to the golden beach by car. The sand was scarce and the rocks were plentiful, making barefoot a bit uncomfortable. We gathered rocks together, played barefoot in the water, watched the tides ebb and flow, and listened to the gentle whisper of the waves. It felt like I was transported back to my youth. I imagined holding her hand and running barefoot along the beach, sitting side by side, watching the tide caress our feet, or reciting aloud the heartwarming words, "From tomorrow on, I will be a happy person, hoping to find a confidant, facing the sea, my heart open." The seaside offers more endless possibilities than the desert or the mountains. The waves have washed away heroes, leaving only the tenderness of love.

Tickets for Sun Asia Ocean Park, a representative attraction in Dalian, cost just over 200 yuan. We bought a combined ticket for all four museums and an expedited boat ride. The most memorable performance was the Dolphin Love Show at the Oceanarium, which imbued the marine world with true human emotion. It was both admirable and moving. The dolphins' performance was impulsive, yet gentle and melodious as they expressed their true feelings, combining strength and softness with a perfect balance of tension and tension. Time your visit to this museum carefully, and reserve a seat at least 15 minutes before the show. The Polar Pavilion's sea lion and walrus show was another highlight. The adorable and charming marine animals displayed a variety of clever antics that made you smile. We didn't finish the Beluga whale underwater show because the venue was too small and overcrowded, creating a chaotic atmosphere. While the show was wonderful and detailed, it completely lost its focus. The 118-meter underwater tunnel was also crowded with people, so we took a few photos and then hurried through. Finally, take a speedboat ride across the sea, savoring the interplay of gentle breeze, dazzling sunshine, crashing waves, and tender warmth—a scene of beauty beyond words. Dalian in May and June is still quite pleasant, with moderate temperatures and abundant delicious food. The key is to find the right frame of mind. Dalian is a perfect place for couples, because of the sea, because of love, whether vows of eternal love or the end of time.

While Dalian remains romantic, its economic growth is relatively slow. Arriving at Xinghai Square, the scenery, though similar to what I saw 15 years ago, is different. Seagulls fly, fish swim, and the shores are covered in lush green reeds and orchids. I feel a sense of melancholy as the scenery remains the same, yet the people have changed. We are all mortals, unable to avoid joy in things and sorrow in ourselves.

Take the express train from Dalian Station to Golden Stone Beach. It's not crowded and only costs 8 yuan. After getting off the express train, go to the Tourism Service Center and take a sightseeing bus for 20 yuan. I only went to the Geopark. The sightseeing bus cost 70 yuan, and you can buy a ticket on the bus to get off at the Geopark, also for 70 yuan, but you need to activate it at the ticket office. The scenery is amazing. A must-see when in Dalian.

Golden Pebble Beach is located in northern Dalian, approximately 50 kilometers from the city center. It takes 50 minutes to reach the destination on Line 3 of the Dalian Rapid Rail. The area is home to numerous attractions, but I personally prefer the Golden Pebble Beach Coast, Address Park, Golden Pebble Wax Museum, and Wonderful Museum. The coast is free, but tents are subject to entry. Admission to Address Park and the Wax Museum is 80 yuan, while the Wonderful Museum is 60 yuan. There are discounts available online, especially for students and those over 60. I don't recommend buying a combined ticket; the additional attractions aren't worth seeing and will only waste your time.

Jinshitan is a must-see attraction in Dalian. It is rich in resources. There is the Discovery Kingdom suitable for children. Those who like hiking can go to the Binhai National Geopark. If you want to see the sea, there is the Ten-Mile Golden Coast. The transportation is also convenient, and you can take the express rail directly to the train station.

The Golden Pebble Beach National Tourist Resort is comprised of numerous smaller attractions, including the Celebrity Wax Museum, the Golden Pebble Beach Geological Museum, the Golden Stone Park, the Binhai National Geopark, and the Discovery Kingdom. A single day would be insufficient to explore all of them. Upon entering the resort, a guide will explain the itinerary, which is divided into two routes: the East and West. Depending on the attractions you wish to visit, you can choose a package ticket or purchase individual tickets at the entrance. A tour bus ticket costs 20 yuan, allowing you to hop on and off at designated stops. The Binhai National Geopark is the core attraction and the most time-consuming, taking approximately 4-5 hours, so it's important to consider your preferences and availability. Transportation to the Golden Pebble Beach Tourist Resort is very convenient. Take the light rail from Dalian Railway Station to the terminal station for 8 yuan per person. Subway tickets cannot be purchased by tap-and-go; you must purchase them on-site.

If time is tight and the weather is bad, I don't recommend going.

Again, the journey is quite long, but you can catch a tourist bus to Golden Stone Beach from the express train station for 20 yuan per person, hopping on and off as you please. The water is very clear and clean, and you can take a speedboat. However, the speedboat ticket price varies depending on the tour guide on the bus.

Dalian has no other scenic spots worth visiting, and it's definitely one of the most impressive. Having previously visited Qingdao, I felt the difference was quite significant, with only Golden Pebble Beach being comparable. Transportation: The light rail (rapid rail) from Dalian Railway Station costs 8 yuan and takes about 50 minutes. It's the most convenient and quickest way to get there.

There are many attractions in the Jinshitan Scenic Area, but I only recommend the Geopark (70 yuan admission)!!! The other attractions are basically unremarkable. Then, on your way back, you can visit the Sea of Love. I don't recommend buying the 20 yuan circular tour bus. Bus No. 1 goes to the Geopark for just one yuan, and it's less crowded. There are two ways to enjoy the Geopark: by yacht, by hiking, and by walking the plank path. I recommend the plank path (it's beautiful).

At the end of the walk, you can go to the beach (you can pick up seafood, it depends on your luck) and it ends around 3pm. Then you will be back to the light rail station around 4:30pm. Time is tight, so there is no need to stay there.

Also, be careful of the scammers at Dalian train stations. Be careful when buying fruit or other things at shops at the train stations! It’s best not to buy anything at Dalian train stations!

The scenery of Jinshi Beach is nice, the water is in good condition, but the beach is too granular, full of small stones. The surrounding transportation is not very well developed, and there is no shuttle bus from the bus station to the beach.
