Gangshika Snow Peak is usually viewed from a distance. We arrived just in time for the horse race, and many local people came to participate. Traffic was congested, so we parked the car in a temporary parking lot. The green grass and wild flowers were everywhere, which was very delicate. Looking into the distance, the snow-capped mountains were looming under the white clouds, and the photos we took were also very good.

In order to see the Gangshika Snow Peak, we drove to the parking lot, paid 100 yuan to take a Tibetan motorcycle off-road to an altitude of 4020 meters, and waited for more than 20 minutes... The smoke and fog dissipated, as if it was the heavenly palace.

It is said that after climbing up, you can see green on one side of the mountain and white snow on the other side. However, the driver said that it is not the right time yet and you can only see it after October. We could only regretfully check in at the foot of the mountain.

Crossing the Daban Mountain without Dabancheng, the sun rises in the east and the rain falls in the west. It turns out that it is not just the gentle breeze and drizzle by the West Lake, but also the overlapping peaks at the foot of the Qilian Mountains.

We were lucky enough to reach the snowy peaks and see bits of snow between the peaks. They were soon covered by clouds, so the view wasn’t spectacular, but it was worth a look.

On the way back to Xining, the weather changed when we passed the Qilian Grassland. The Menyuan rapeseed flower sea and Gangshika Snow Peak that we had planned were covered by rain and clouds. We thought we had missed them. But when we drove to the top of Daban Mountain, the sun came out! We saw the most manifique scenery of this trip to Qinghai. The sun shone on the crystal clear snow peaks. It was so beautiful that it was indescribable. My companions exclaimed that this was a beautiful scenery that would be imprinted in their minds for a lifetime! I was really at a loss for words. The beauty of Qinghai is indescribable. No word can accurately express it. Only when you see it with your own eyes can you know the purity of that beauty...

It was raining heavily. People coming down from the mountain said it was too dangerous so we didn't go up. We couldn't see much when we drove over. One reason was that visibility was poor and the other was that the angle was too narrow to see clearly. But it was really cold when it rained. There was not much parking space on the mountain. There were skewers and corn for sale. The corn was very fresh. The skewers included yak skewers and mutton skewers. The meat was good and cheap. A skewer cost only three yuan! Because it was too cold, I bought 20 skewers of yak and mutton skewers, as well as hot corn. It was a timely and warm gift!

We passed by the gate of the famous Gangshika Snow Mountain. The snow-capped mountain on the top was obscured by thick fog, giving this sacred mountain a sense of mystery.

There is only Gobi Desert and grassland now. Spring has not come here yet. You can imagine the scene of green everywhere, but this kind of desolation is also very pleasant.

I just arrived at Gangshika Base Camp yesterday, and I brought half a bottle of water and a jacket. Luckily, the weather was good. But you must adapt to the plateau in advance and keep an eye on the weather. The dirt road down the mountain is a bit slippery, so be careful. It takes about 3 hours to walk from the end of the mountain road to the base camp. The scenery is beautiful!
