Menyuan rapeseed flowers refer to a beautiful and spectacular man-made landscape in Menyuan County, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. Menyuan County is the birthplace of rapeseed in the north and the largest rapeseed planting area in the country and even the world, with a planting area of 500,000 mu.

The rapeseed planting area here starts from Qingshizui on the banks of the Haomen River in the west, ends at Yulongtan on the banks of the Datong River in the east, extends to Lenglongling on the border with Gansu Province in the north, and ends at the steep Osaka Mountain in the south, stretching for dozens of kilometers.

I regretted not seeing the peak of rapeseed flowers in Luoping twice before, and I regretted not seeing the peak of rapeseed flowers in Menyuan this time. (The peak flowering period is in early July.) I went to the flower viewing platform, but the ticket was 60 yuan. The rapeseed flower hills in Luoping are all free. We took a quick look and went back to the inn. In the evening, we climbed up the hill behind the innkeeper's house. The scenery was amazing, and there was no need to spend 60 yuan to go to the flower viewing platform.

Menyuan rapeseed flowers are one of the three places to visit in today's itinerary. At first, we followed the navigation to a viewing platform, where we could climb to the top of the mountain to overlook the rapeseed sea, but the season may not have arrived yet and the rapeseed flowers have not yet bloomed, so the viewing platform is not open to the public. We drove along the road and came to a small road in the village, where we saw a large field of rapeseed flowers!

Qingshizui is the earliest commercial tourist attraction in Menyuan, which started operating in 2006. Therefore, it is also the most popular flower viewing spot for tourists. Menyuan has direct public transportation to Qingshizui Town, and the flower viewing spot Yuanshan Observation Deck is right in the town. The convenient transportation makes it the first choice for viewing rapeseed flowers in Menyuan.

Yuanshan Observation Deck is a small hillside, which is incomparable to Zhaobi Mountain. The winding guardrail trail leads directly to the observation deck on the top of the mountain. Of course, there are many pavilions on the mountainside, which provide a good view in addition to providing a place for people to rest. The scorching sun makes the golden rapeseed flowers look even more orange and warm. Standing on the observation deck on the top of the mountain, under the deep blue sky with white clouds, large areas of rapeseed flowers spread on both sides of the Haomen River, shining brightly and stretching endlessly. To the east, there are endless rapeseed flowers and barley forming golden and green blocks; to the south, Qingshizui Town seems to be surrounded by mountains. This is perhaps the most beautiful angle, with the rapeseed flowers under the mountains and the layers of high mountains complementing each other; to the north, there is "Earth Art" composed of a sea of rapeseed flowers and barley - on the golden background are several large green characters "Always Follow the Party"; to the west, it is said that you can see the Gangshika Snow Peak, which is covered with snow all year round, but I don’t know if it was because of the clouds or other factors, we did not see this most famous snow peak of Menyuan.

Out of my obsession with rapeseed flowers, I reserved the afternoon for the Menyuan Hundred Miles Rapeseed Flower Sea. At noon, I went to a small restaurant for lunch. There happened to be a map here for reference. We asked the boss where the Yuanshan Observation Deck was, as there were rapeseed fields all along the way. The boss pointed to the opposite side, and that was the top of the mountain. He suggested that we just go to the gate and take a look. There was no need to spend money to go in. It was a sea of flowers. It was a sea of flowers here~

There are several roads from Xining to Jinchang. You can choose to pass through the Menyuan rapeseed fields, where there are beautiful scenery along the way!

Menyuan County is located in Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. It is the rapeseed flower base in Qinghai and the main oil-producing area in the northwest. Looking around, the entire rapeseed field is like a golden sea with no end in sight. Against the backdrop of the blue sky and white clouds and snow-capped mountains on the plateau, there is an overwhelming Northwest atmosphere. Tourists who want to see rapeseed flowers usually arrive in Xining City first, and then depart from here to Menyuan to see rapeseed flowers. There are three good places to see rapeseed flowers in Menyuan. The first is Nanshan, opposite the county cement factory, about 4 kilometers southeast of Haomen Town (where Menyuan County is located); the second is Yuanshan Flower Viewing Platform in Qingshizui Town, about 20 kilometers west of Haomen Town; the third is Dabanshan Observation Platform on the road from Xining to Menyuan County, about 30 kilometers from Haomen Town. Most tourists choose to view rapeseed flowers in Qingshizui Town, where rapeseed fields are relatively concentrated.

In fact, the main reason why the rating is not high is that we went at the wrong time. The best time to go to Menyuan is the end of July. In August, many flowers have withered, so it is not as spectacular and beautiful as it looks in the guide.

After passing Biandukou, we arrived at Menyuan, where we could slowly see snow on the peaks of the Qilian Mountains. Menyuan is the place with thousands of acres of rapeseed fields. We came at the wrong time, and only rapeseed stalks were left. At first, I thought it was still beautiful, but later, when I passed a short distance and saw rapeseed flowers, I felt that I really came to Menyuan at the wrong season. How beautiful it must be to see endless rapeseed flowers blooming along the stretching mountains.

Large fields of rapeseed flowers spread out all over the mountains. The sun was shining brightly, making the rapeseed flowers a dazzling golden color and rendering the barley vibrant, which was more intense than what I saw in 2014. My husband, children and I have been to Menyuan for three years.

By early August, the rape flowers were no longer visible, so this attraction suddenly became ordinary. Only a few words remained of the most beautiful sea of flowers in the world.

The hundred-mile sea of flowers is truly spectacular. I often see rape flowers, and this large area of rape flowers stimulates my visual nerves. In a word, it is so beautiful.

The rapeseed fields here are great. You can take a picture of them at random, just like any screenshot in a cartoon. Find a sunny day, ride a bicycle, under the blue sky and white clouds, beside the rapeseed fields, it is very pleasant~

We also caught up with snow in some areas, and we broke through the siege to see the sun! I have heard of sun showers, and this time it was really sun snow! It is recommended that those who come to Menyuan recently should not take the provincial road S204, as nearly 90 kilometers of the road are under renovation... It is so frustrating and difficult to walk!

In mid-July, rape flowers are in full bloom. The yellow flowers, blue sky and white clouds, mountains and rivers, forests, grasslands and houses complement each other, weaving a unique and charming scenery that makes people intoxicated.

When we came in early August, the rapeseed flowers were just out of season, but the endless golden fields were still very spectacular. The wind blew the wheat waves, and the golden color covered the sky and the earth, and it was endless. Under the deep blue sky of the plateau, with the ever-changing clouds as a backdrop, and the distant mountains, nearby waters, and villages complemented each other, it was always suitable to be viewed from near or far.

The endless golden color appears exceptionally colorful, and the simple composition of large blocks of color inspires endless reverie and makes people feel lost in emotion.

Passing by one section, a wide road divides it into two parts. On the right, a small village appears, with wheat waves and rape flowers alternating, the picture is rich and layered. Give 10 yuan/person to the local farmers, and you can go in and take photos at will, with no time limit.

Generally, mid to late July is the time when rape flowers are in full bloom. The 600,000 acres are very spectacular, and it is really golden everywhere. Tickets for Fenfenyu Observation Deck are 30 yuan, and for Yuanshan Observation Deck is 60 yuan. You can see them by looking from the road. It was cloudy when we went there, so the photos we took were a little dim. It would be more beautiful on a sunny day.

Menyuan rapeseed flowers bloom for 40 days, and the best season is from the end of June to the beginning of August. There is a super large farm here, and the endless rapeseed flowers are very popular and particularly beautiful. But this year when we came here, the flowering period had just passed and all the rapeseed flowers had withered.

The rape flowers in Menyuan have all faded. As soon as I saw the roadside parking, there were villagers nearby selling highland barley popcorn... It was a bit of a forced sale. Although the rape flowers have faded, the scenery is still good. I like this color combination.

The rapeseed fields in Menyuan are indeed more spectacular and more imposing than the others. They stretch all the way. And the terrain here is a little lower, not so steep. Here, everything slows down, and time gradually freezes. After coming back for a long time, I still keep thinking about this picture, the ups and downs of leaving and returning, which are unknown here. The rapeseed flowers all over the mountains sway in the wind. Before I arrived in Menyuan, I imagined countless scenes of Menyuan in my mind. After I arrived, I found that my imagination was too weak. The wonderful experience brought by nature is by no means limited to this. The golden rapeseed flowers, the mountains of barley, and the snow-capped mountains in the distance form a beautiful pastoral scenery. In the depths of the Qilian Mountains, wherever you look up, you can see yellow and green all over the mountains. On the hillsides not far away, there are huge flocks of sheep that dot the grassland like stars. Menyuan is a place where I think people can easily feel happy: herds of cattle and sheep, dazzling white clouds and blue sky, and a life that can be even slower. The cities we are walking on are crowded with traffic, which is far inferior to the countryside where this story just started. When taking pictures on the roadside, I saw the Harmony Express coming out from the rape flowers from afar, a perfect combination of modern and pastoral scenery. I must take the Harmony Express to Menyuan again if I have the chance. The next morning, our family climbed up the hillside again to watch the sunrise. The morning in Menyuan was very cold, only about ten degrees in July. But seeing the sunrise over the flower fields still made me feel that everything was worth it.

I saw it from Daban Mountain. In the distance, a golden color shone brightly, which was quite shocking. But... It started to rain when I got to the foot of the mountain. I went there in early August, and there were already fewer rape flowers. The rain also greatly reduced the scenery. But I think it must have been very spectacular in its heyday. It's still worth a visit.

I went there at a wrong time and didn't see anything, but I did buy a lot of local specialties there.

Since most of the flowers on Huashan are rape flowers, the morning sun shines down, so that the mountain looks sparkling at first glance.

It has been known for a long time that Menyuan in Qinghai grows cauliflower over a very large area, but I never expected it to be so large!

The rapeseed fields in Menyuan do not seem to be much different from those in the south. Perhaps most of them are shorter and neatly spread out on the land at the foot of the mountain, with the grass like green ribbons running through them.

Menyuan is famous for the rapeseed flowers that stretch for dozens of kilometers every July. It is said that compared with the rapeseed flowers in Jiangnan, it is very shocking. We also came here because of its reputation. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and foggy on the day we went. We stood at the Dabanshan Observation Deck on the way, which is about 30 kilometers away from Haomen Town. It is still spectacular to be able to see the snow-capped mountains, grasslands, and large areas of rapeseed flowers in the distance. If it is a sunny day with blue sky and white clouds, the visual effect may be better.

I personally feel that the flowers here are more beautiful than those in Wuyuan, Jiangxi! The altitude here is high! The view is different!

Three years ago, I hurriedly passed by Menyuan and caught a glimpse of it! Three years later, I revisited the place to relieve my homesickness. In the distance, there are towering snow-capped mountains, red houses scattered among them, and a golden sea of rapeseed flowers... The collision of yellow and green color blocks is like an endless oil painting!

Entering Menyuan, there are fields of rapeseed flowers on the roadside. Many herdsmen have set up dividing lines on the roadside to prohibit tourists from entering, but you can go in and take pictures for 20 yuan per person. You can enter for free, and cars can also drive in for free. The roadside is also the herdsmen’s own land. It costs 10 yuan. You can go down and sit and drink tea and take pictures (sitting in the flowers, haha, it’s still comfortable to be quiet). There are some swings, big photo frames and so on. I think it’s more comfortable than the 10 yuan roadside before. It’s a personal preference.

Moreover, we accidentally encountered the most beautiful flowering period of the year in Menyuan. As a result, the sky and the earth were all golden, and our eyes were thoroughly refreshed.

Maybe it was because we had seen too many grasslands and rapeseed flowers along the way, so we were a little visually fatigued, but it was still very beautiful. In addition, the temperature in the morning was only about 10 degrees, so we just walked around for a while.

In early August, the rape flowers in Menyuan have faded. The rape flowers in Menyuan are the most beautiful in mid-July. But I still like the pastoral scenery here, which is quiet and beautiful. We didn't go to the viewing platform. Why? Because we are a group of six "rain gods" and it rained heavily after a while...

In some places, they were matched with green barley.
