Emperor Qin Shi Huang's Mausoleum Museum (Terracotta Warriors)

It is a large burial pit in the Qin Shihuang Mausoleum. It is the largest ancient military museum in China built on the original site based on the Terracotta Warriors.
There are three terracotta warrior pits. Pit No. 1 is the main army formation with chariots and infantry, with about 6,000 life-size terracotta warriors. Pit No. 2 is a mixed formation of chariots, cavalry, and crossbowmen. Pit No. 3 is the command system of the army formation.
The unearthed terracotta warriors are divided into generals, warriors, charioteers, etc. Each figurine has different facial features and expressions. They were originally painted, but most of them have faded due to fire and soaking.
The bronze chariots and horses on display in the Bronze Chariot and Horses Exhibition Hall were made of a large amount of gold and silver and are exquisitely crafted. They are known as the "Crown of Bronze" and are of great value to the academic research of the Qin Dynasty.

First of all, let's talk about transportation: There is a bus No. 306 (You 5) that goes directly to the scenic spot in the square opposite the Xi'an Railway Station and near the ancient city wall (remember the white bus!). There are a lot of people when you go there during the summer vacation, and there will be a long queue in the square. At this time, there will be "staff" wearing blue short-sleeved uniforms and red armbands, saying something like "The queue is too long, line up in 2 rows" or "Those going to Huaqing Pool line up in the same place, and those going to the Terracotta Warriors follow me" (anyway, they just want you to follow her). Don't be fooled, there will be a large group of people following you every time. The author was also deceived and followed for a while. On the way, they would say that tourists should follow the tour guide. What a joke, how can there be a tour guide on the bus! So I quickly returned to the original team. I didn't know where I would be dragged to if I followed these people. It's a series of horrors. Moreover, the regular bus staff turned a blind eye to this behavior, neither stopping nor reminding, which is particularly speechless. There are many bus routes on No. 306, and because it needs to go on the highway, it will ensure that every passenger has a seat, and the fare is 7 yuan per person. On the way, the bus staff will briefly introduce the two scenic spots of Huaqing Palace and Terracotta Warriors. According to the bus attendant, since the Terracotta Warriors Museum is the terminal station, the bus from Terracotta Warriors to downtown Xi'an is usually full in the evening, so it does not stop at the Huaqing Palace. Maybe there is also a separate bus from Huaqing Palace back to the city, but since I haven't been there, I'm not sure.

For the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Scenic Area: 1. I personally recommend that you get together with a few people to hire a guide (90 yuan/5 people), and don't rent the automatic guide in the ticket hall (30 yuan/each, deposit 100 cash). The guide basically talks about the contents that can be found on Baidu Encyclopedia at the entrance of the three pits. The explanations are all done with microphones and headsets, not traditional speakers, which are relatively more lively. 2. There are too many people in the scenic area. Xi'an is very hot during the summer vacation. I almost got heat stroke and the experience of the tour was very average. I personally feel that it is better to search online than to see it on site.

You will regret it if you don’t watch it, and you will regret it even more if you watch it!

It is difficult to join a group by yourself, and you have to wait a long time before you can get enough people.

The guidebooks all say that it is best to hire a guide to take you around, but it is really best not to join a group to hire a guide. If you hire a guide, you can't play around and stop to take pictures at will. You have to always pay attention to where the guide is. There are too many people and you won't be able to see him in a short while.

Most importantly, be prepared to wait in line for a long time. The museum is so small and there are tens of thousands of people visiting every day. Especially during holidays!!

A landmark scenic spot in Xi'an. Take bus No. 5 from Xi'an Railway Station. Please note that there are fake buses at the railway station. Be careful to distinguish. The ticket seller on the state-owned bus No. 5 will explain. You must listen carefully. The ticket seller will explain the station location, bus schedule, and a brief introduction to the scenic spot. Go to Huaqing Palace first, then go to the Terracotta Warriors. Huaqing Palace to Terracotta Warriors 3 yuan per person. It is still 120 yuan to buy tickets online. You can enter directly without exchanging tickets and swiping your ID card. You can save a lot of time during peak hours. After entering, go through a small park to the central scenic area and check your ticket twice. You can ask for a guide, or follow the Terracotta Warriors public account on your mobile phone and listen to the explanation. Visit in the order of Pit 1, Pit 2, Pit 3, and Exhibition Hall. The time is about 2.5 hours. After coming out, there are all kinds of grandpas and aunts selling souvenirs at the door. Buy as appropriate and bargain hard. A set of small Terracotta Warriors models is 10 yuan, and a carriage is 10 yuan. The national handicrafts are not clear, bargain hard! ! ! ! Pay attention! ! ! ! !

Why do I only give one star? It's just for the management of the scenic spot. This is the most chaotically managed scenic spot I've ever been to. I don't know if it's the problem of the management committee or the local government's management level is really this low. I saw three guide points in the scenic spot, each of which said they were formal, and each seemed to be formal, but no one knew which one was. At the beginning, it said that it was 90 yuan for five people, and then when I paid, I was told that the guide would also be charged separately, and then I kept introducing all kinds of so-called specialties to you. After entering the scenic spot, it said that it was very far and I had to take an electric car, but in the end, it only took a few minutes to walk. I'm from Xi'an, and I feel very embarrassed to bring guests from other places. The problem of chaotic management of the Terracotta Warriors has been talked about for many years, and this is the result of the rectification? Are you embarrassed?

You really need to know a lot about the Terracotta Warriors or hire a tour guide. There are many audio guides in the museum's official account, and you can listen to them and learn. The viewing order is first Pit 132, then the carriage hall. Finally, you have to walk a long way to get to the door to take the shuttle bus to the imperial mausoleum. There are souvenir shops and restaurants along the way. There is nothing in the two burial pits of the imperial mausoleum. In fact, you can go directly to the stone tablet of the imperial mausoleum and listen to the free tour guide explain the historical stories. The free tour guide's explanation is still very good and worthy of recognition, but when you are taken to the entrance of the scenic spot to take the shuttle bus back to the Terracotta Warriors, you have to ask to walk around the store inside, which sells collection materials and jade products. Although this experience is not forced to consume, it doesn't feel very good.

There is a spacious and bright ticket hall. In front of the door, there will be many explainers asking you if you want to join a group. They will say that you are the only one missing and we can set off immediately. Don't agree to them first. Go into the ticket hall and buy the ticket. It's not too late to find the explainers when you come out.

Next to the ticket office is the ticket gate. The explanation will be the same as that of Huaqing Palace. Earphones will be issued. Tickets must not be lost. You must go through two security checks. Follow the explanation closely. If you are too far away from the explanation, the explanation machine will jump to another guide's channel.

This scene is really shocking. When you stand there, you can feel the real dialogue between ancient and modern times. Moreover, the Terracotta Warriors have thousands of faces, and no two are the same. Each Terracotta Warrior has the name of the maker on it. If the builder did not build any part of the Terracotta Warrior well, the architect would chop off that part, so there are such shocking works.

I bought a book published by the Terracotta Warriors Museum. It has collection value. For someone like me who loves reading, I must collect it.

After we got in, we were told that the main place was a bit far away and we could take a sightseeing bus. The price seemed to be five dollars. We thought it wasn't expensive so we took it. It turned out that it wasn't that far.

We started our visit from Pit No. 2.

In addition to Pit No. 2, there are some terracotta warriors and horses like this one that have been dug out and placed in display cabinets for viewing.

Then we arrived at Pit No. 3, which is much smaller than Pit No. 2. But maybe because it is small, I am closer and can see it clearly. I don’t know if you understand that feeling, it is very magical, I don’t know how to describe the feeling…

Hall 1 is really huge. When I entered, I was like: Wow!

We should enter through the back door... because the terracotta warriors here seem to be the parts that have been dug out and have not been processed yet...

Then I walked to the main entrance... It was quite spectacular to see...

By little baby |

The Terracotta Warriors are so crowded that it's hard to describe them. It takes more than ten minutes to walk from the entrance to the museum. However, when we finally entered the museum and saw the real Terracotta Warriors, the only word that came to mind was "spectacular". Although it's vulgar, it's really spectacular.

Looking closely, each terracotta figurine has a different shape, as if each one has his or her own story.

The terracotta warriors in the other pits were not so lucky. When they were unearthed, they were more or less damaged to varying degrees. In comparison, there is a faint sense of desolation.

The cultural relics restorers are working hard every day to repair these broken terracotta warriors, striving to restore their original appearance to the greatest extent possible, allowing them to stand up again after a thousand years and continue to tell their stories silently.

By Dumbo |

We went in and called for a guide, the auntie was not very attentive to the guide, but when she talked about her son, she kept talking about it. The two of us spent 106 RMB, which I think is not worth it. It depends on the individual.

Forgive me for not remembering most of what the tour guide said. I can only sigh at the amazing skills of the ancients. I still remember that ancient people were not tall, but the Terracotta Warriors were made to be an average of 180cm+!

In fact, the greatest significance of this to me is to enjoy the winter scenery of the Northwest: vast brown hills, with only pine and cypress evergreen trees left as green, and the endless mountains and trees hidden in the distance.

One disgusting thing along the way was that there were people everywhere pulling you and asking you to buy their persimmons. They were noisy and overbearing. When you were pulled, they would say, "Ten dollars a basket. Take the persimmons back home. It's a good deal to eat them yourself or give them away as gifts!" Also, I don't know if the pigeons there had been free for a long time. They were walking on the road looking for food and couldn't even fly.

By Heart of the Ocean |

Take the No. 5 white bus from Xi'an Railway Station to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. The whole journey takes about 1 hour and the bus will depart when it is full. There are 3 pits in the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. The largest one is Pit 1, which has the largest number of unearthed terracotta warriors. The soldiers have different expressions. You can judge their official ranks at that time by their clothes, and you can also know their military types by their standing and kneeling postures, such as kneeling archers. Many terracotta warriors need to be repaired, and you can see the repair operation room later. Archaeologists are ordinary and great, doing meticulous work with lofty ideals: to restore the original appearance of history and let us understand history better.

From my Xi'an travel notes "A thousand years of Chang'an dream ❤ Feasting in Xi'an (food and scenery - Internet celebrity new authentic traditional popular food, Xi'an first snow New Year's Eve beautiful scenery travel photography)" http://www.mafengwo.cn/i/11626046.html

Every inch of land under your feet is filled with relics of our ancestors, bits and pieces of their lives, and unsolved mysteries in our hearts.

I look up into the sky, wondering if the winter wind coming from afar mixed with light snow can also carry your breath and the spiritual connection that has spanned thousands of years.

It is said that the Terracotta Warriors have no off-season, only peak season, peak season, and super peak season. Many people have the experience of lining up and moving forward after entering. Once squeezed in, even if you are born with supernatural powers, you are powerless to turn back. You can only be pushed all the way by the surging crowd, and then you come out. You hardly see the Terracotta Warriors, but you see the backs of thousands of heads...

What to do? What to do? - Although we went on New Year's Day, there are relatively few people in winter. As soon as we entered Pit 1, we found it was crowded. We decisively detoured to visit Pit 2 and Pit 3 and the museum first. In winter, the museum closes at 5:30 pm. We returned to Pit 1 around 5 pm. There was already a large open area to take photos with the beloved Terracotta Warriors. You can choose to come as soon as it opens in the morning or in the afternoon when it is about to close.

Unfolding a scroll of bamboo slips, you go back to two thousand years ago, when smoke and war were everywhere. It was the first year of prosperity when the world was conquered. The Great Wall was thousands of miles long, and the pottery figurines shocked the world, but they finally fell after another thousand years.

Buy a ticket to the museum (student ticket is 75), and then there are many tour guides walking around the courtyard, asking if you want to rent a tour guide. Generally, it is recommended to rent one, otherwise you can't understand it. We shared a tour guide sister with two uncles, and the total cost for 4 people was 90. There are a total of 3 pits, and the tour guide will take you to each one. One of them was selling Terracotta Warriors souvenirs, saying that those were made of soil dug from the pits thousands of years ago, and they are very collectible. He also said that there are student prices or something,

By Yier |

You must hire a tour guide to visit the Terracotta Warriors, otherwise you will not know anything after the visit. I found four people temporarily, and then six people joined together. The price was 25 per person. There are many black tour guides outside the ticket office. You can also join, but before joining, ask him if he has headphones. If he has them, join. If not, forget it, because there will be many people in the Terracotta Warriors. If you don't have headphones, you can't hear what the tour guide says clearly.

It was a great experience to visit the Terracotta Warriors in the snow

Pit No. 1 is the largest, Pit No. 2 is relatively smaller, and Pit No. 3 is also very small.

The whole visit takes about two hours.

As one of the eight wonders of the world, the Terracotta Warriors are a must-see. They are quite stunning. There are three pits and a bronze hall.

The Bronze Hall houses the most expensive car in the world, the bronze chariot, which is quite beautiful!

Pit No. 1 has the largest number of Terracotta Warriors. Once you enter, you will be shocked as each of the Terracotta Warriors has its own characteristics.

In addition, please explain. Whether you book the Sanmao Tour (20 yuan) on the APP or ask the tour guide to read it yourself, you can't figure it out. After hearing the explanation, you will feel that it is so awesome!

In addition, the ticket seller on the bus will promote a new attraction, the Hongmen Feast Ancient Battlefield Will, which is convenient for taking the bus from the entrance of the Terracotta Warriors. It depends on whether you want to go there or not.

By Bingbing |

It was still early, and there were not many people inside. You should know that the Terracotta Warriors are always crowded on any holiday. I was shocked as soon as I entered. The Terracotta Warriors are all different in height, weight, and appearance. You can even tell the age of each person from their body shape and face, and everyone has a different expression. After a closer look, there are really no two of them that are exactly the same. There are still a large number of Qin warriors that have not been excavated, which is already so spectacular. Many people say that they will regret not going to the Terracotta Warriors, and they will regret even more if they go. I don't think so at all. Go and see and listen to the explanation, you will not regret it at all! After leaving Pit 1, we came to Pit 2. Pit 2 is mainly a chariot town, and most of it has not been excavated. There is also a small museum inside, which exhibits exquisite pottery figurines. The appearance of Pit 2 is very beautiful, and Pit 3 is very small, which is the general headquarters.

By Little Monica |

You can take photos in the entire museum, but you cannot use flash. This is the most basic rule, but there are still special staff who shout "You can take photos, but flash is prohibited" and repeatedly stop others.

The purpose of the museum's existence is to give close-ups to some relatively "famous" things, so that whether they are from the burial pits or the Terracotta Warriors, everyone can enjoy the viewing here.

It is a very big one. I heard from the tour guide that others paid for that there are still many terracotta warriors that have not been unearthed. It is not that we have no way to do it now, but that they cannot be unearthed because the color of the terracotta warriors is the most difficult to maintain. It starts to change the moment it is unearthed, and there is currently no way to preserve this color completely.

By Xiao Jiang in Weizhou Island |

After we bought the tickets, we went to the service desk and hired a tour guide for 170 yuan.

There weren't many tourists visiting today, so luckily we didn't have to squeeze in with the crowds.

You have to go through two ticket checks to enter the Terracotta Warriors. You have to walk about 5 minutes before the second ticket check.

Along the way, the tour guide gave us a brief introduction to the Terracotta Warriors. The explanation was divided into three parts and lasted about two hours.

By B |

I went there at the end of December before Christmas. There weren't too many people there, which was the off-season. I suggest you don't go when there are crowds so you can have a better view.

As for tour guides, I personally think that if you bring a camera and photographic equipment, there is no need to hire a tour guide. Every local tour guide carries the same things. You can search directly on the Internet and you may be able to find the manuscript.

Another disadvantage of having a tour guide is that it is a one-way walk. You cannot go back. The tour guide will only take you in a straight line from pit one to pit two, which leads to a problem. You do know the history of this place in theory, and you also know what this thing is and what that thing is in theory. But you can only listen with your brain throughout the whole process. Before you can react after listening, the tour guide will pull you away. If I choose again, I will not ask for a tour guide. I will choose to see it with my heart and experience this place with my heart. This is why children will be afraid, cry, and shout that they don’t like it when they see such clay figures, because they really feel the majesty of this piece of land with their hearts. It’s okay to take two photos. You won’t be able to watch it with your mobile phone during the whole process. (If you lack imagination, it is not recommended. You should still ask for a tour guide.)

By Devil Lucy |

The Terracotta Warriors have not changed much, even the lines of the explanations remain the same. I vaguely remember that the sightseeing bus is very short and expensive. This time I cleverly did not take the sightseeing bus and found that the journey was quite long. . . Entering from the first hall, I can only describe it in one word: shocking!!! It is even more interesting to look closely. Each person has a different shape and different equipment. You can read the structure of the military formation, the configuration of the cavalry, the level of military rank, etc. It is as if an invincible Warring States army is perfectly presented in front of you. . . Of course, the configuration of the soldiers must be strong and sturdy, and they must be exaggerated when necessary to satisfy the vanity of the first emperor. Unfortunately, the Qin Emperor died early, so the Terracotta Warriors have not been truly completed. This time I came to play and happened to meet experts repairing the Terracotta Warriors. Overall, the progress of the repair is really difficult. In order for everyone to see more and more Terracotta Warriors, a group of people are working day and night.

Walking out of the Third Hall, there is a special museum, where there is a bronze chariot with 3,000 pieces successfully spliced together and in an exquisite shape. It is really exquisite and incomparable. This is the earliest, largest and best-preserved bronze chariot discovered in the history of Chinese archaeology. In addition, the museum also displays historical fragments from the discovery of the Terracotta Warriors to the present. When the villagers found the Terracotta Warriors, they thought they were Bodhisattvas. They were so scared that they knelt down and worshiped them. Fortunately, they met some knowledgeable people. Finally, through continuous learning and continuous practice, these historical relics were slowly brought back to the light of day, so that such a long-standing military formation could be completely preserved. Many people say that they should thank the old man who dug the well-Yang Peiyan. It is said that there were more than a dozen Yang Peiyans who signed at the entrance of the museum. I think Zhao Kangming, a scholar who has devoted his life to restoring the Terracotta Warriors, should be thanked more.

These pits... Well, maybe I just can't appreciate them. But now the deepest impression left on me by the scenic spot is the maple trees that had all turned yellow at that time, shining golden in the warm sun, very beautiful, and on the way to the Terracotta Warriors, the driver took me to a jade shop to buy a jade bracelet. Although I don't know much about jade, I really think that jade bracelet is beautiful (I plan to give it to my mother-in-law when I go back, haha).

By Wilderness |

As a native of Xi'an, I have been to the Terracotta Warriors Museum many times, and each time it was similar, but this time I had a completely different feeling. In the past, I would just visit the three pits and the Bronze Chariot and Horse Museum and leave. This time I went to see "Qin Maid Love" performed by the Qin Emperor Grand Theater! Very good! It was very shocking from the perspective of history, vision, and dance! The key is to see the living Terracotta Warriors! Highly recommended, although the ticket price is a bit high

By cdehui |

After buying tickets to enter the museum and hiring a tour guide, we began our journey to see the "Eighth Wonder of the World."

Many details on the terracotta warriors unearthed from the three pits fully demonstrate the exquisite craftsmanship of the Qin people more than 2,000 years ago. Putting aside the huge amount of money and labor spent on building the imperial mausoleum, the sculpture craftsmanship alone is awe-inspiring. As the tour guide said, the unearthed terracotta warriors not only provide us with a large amount of physical research materials for studying the politics, economy, culture, military, crafts, and technology of the Qin Dynasty, but also, whether in terms of pottery making, smelting, sculpture, art, etc., it is worthy of being a world wonder.

I really want to stand here quietly, talk to each of the terracotta warriors, and read his story. Unfortunately, the time was too short, so I had to say goodbye, but I will definitely come again.

After the tour guide took the ticket, he never gave it back to me. I have the habit of saving the ticket stubs, and I still feel uncomfortable...

After getting the ticket, take a car for ¥5/person to the meeting place.

After the visit, I couldn't help but be impressed by the wisdom of the ancients.

In addition, the museum also houses a large number of relics and treasures, which show the former glory of the Qin Dynasty.

The tour guide first took us here to see the World Heritage sign.

Because the burial objects were filled with too much evil spirits, the decoration designs in the hall were all related to warding off evil spirits: several main beams looked like swords under the illumination of the ceiling; the bottoms of the main beams were made of black jade.

There is one very valuable thing in the sculpture art of the kneeling archers, that is, their soles. The dense and sparse stitches are carefully carved by the craftsmen, reflecting an extremely strict spirit of realism, allowing later viewers to feel a very rich breath of life from the Qin Dynasty warriors.

When the tour was almost over, the tour guide said: After you have visited the Terracotta Warriors, you will have to pass a commercial street on your way back. The government cannot close this commercial street because this is the Western-style houses given to the villagers by the government to compensate them for occupying their land.

The tour ended at five o'clock. Because I followed the tour guide, I missed seeing many Terracotta Warriors ~ the disadvantage of group tours.

I want to remind you all, when you get to the train station, don't listen to the people who say they're going to take you to the Terracotta Warriors. They might be a lady or an old man. We were followed all the way and almost got on a tour bus.

Of course I don't know if I can get to the Terracotta Warriors by taking their bus, but for safety reasons it is better to take a regular bus. The bus from the train station to the Terracotta Warriors is Bus No. 5/Bus No. 306. Even if you go to the real Bus No. 5 waiting point, there will still be many people with red armbands trying to pull you into their bus. Just ignore them.

It costs 7 yuan per person to get to the Terracotta Warriors from the train station. It takes about an hour.

The ticket seller will introduce the origins of some place names in Xi'an along the way.

There are also some history of the Terracotta Warriors and Huaqing Palace. The service attitude is very good. Give it a thumbs up~

After getting off the bus, follow the crowd and you will reach the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. If you buy tickets online, it seems that you can enter directly with your ID card. However, in order to keep a souvenir, I still went to get a paper ticket.

There were many tour guides in the ticket hall. One lady came up and asked us if we wanted a tour guide for ¥20/person with headphones. We were too lazy to find anyone else so we just followed this lady. After we had about 8-10 people, we were ready to go.

The tour guide said that if you come here during holidays, you can basically just follow the crowd.

There are very few people like us now.

You can also see some archaeologists doing excavation work.

When you walk into a history museum, you will find a large number of cultural relics. Most of these cultural relics look the same. If there is no explanation, it will be very boring. You will finish the tour in a hurry. Therefore, it is necessary to hire a tour guide to explain. She will pick out some important cultural relics and tell them like a story, from prehistoric times to the Qin, Han, Tang and Song dynasties. I was a member of the Shaanxi History Museum explanation group reported on China-TravelNote. It was like taking a history lesson, which enriched my original understanding of Xi'an. Xi'an is an amazing city!

When visiting the Terracotta Warriors, you must hire a guide, so that you can understand the history well. Otherwise, when you go into these pits to see the Terracotta Warriors, you will feel like you are just looking at stones. We hired a guide for two people, but because it was the off-season, we couldn't find anyone to join us in the group to hire a guide. I always thought that the Terracotta Warriors were made of real people, because I saw the lifelike faces of the Terracotta Warriors, like real people, but in fact they were made of pottery. I have to admire the wisdom of the ancient people...

By Fish Head Chick |

Well, one of the eight wonders of the world, it feels so-so! Not as spectacular as imagined, and the cultural relics are not well preserved. I was able to come, but the weather was not very good that day, so the experience was really discounted. I hired a tour guide, but he spoke by the book. I came to Xi'an to experience history, but I still don't understand its history.

By Madrid |

Many people were very excited before they came to the Terracotta Warriors, but after they came, many people felt a little disappointed because they felt that it was not as shocking as they had imagined.

Because I really wanted to come here, and when I saw these Qin terracotta warriors, I was a little moved.

These things that you have seen countless times in movies and TV are now being truly displayed before your eyes.

These terracotta warriors have thousands of faces and expressions. When you look at him quietly, he is actually looking at you.

The number of restored terracotta warriors is far less than the number of unrestored ones, because it is a weekday, and there are workers on site, repairing these terracotta warriors day after day, from the time they graduated from college until they retired in old age. I think these terracotta warriors must not be completely restored because the workload is huge.

Tickets were booked online in advance. Adult tickets are 150 yuan in peak season, half price for students (staff will check student ID cards), free for those under 16 years old. There is a self-service ticket machine on site to get tickets, saving time in line. I shared a tour guide with other tourists and started the Terracotta Warriors tour. There is still a distance from the ticket office to the Terracotta Warriors. There are paid battery cars available, but other tourists are unwilling to take the car, so we can only walk there under the scorching sun.

After seeing the bronze chariot in the Bronze Chariot and Horse Exhibition Hall, my sister was very excited and said it was the cover of their history textbook. The trip to the Terracotta Warriors can be described as "frustrated". It was tiring, crowded, and hot! It was difficult to move around because of the crowds, especially in Pit No. 1, which had no air conditioning and no windows. I almost suffocated. This situation made the manual explanation lose its due value. I could hear but not see, and it was so hot that it made people irritable.

By Aries |

I only knew about the Terracotta Warriors and Horses in history books and that they were the eighth wonder of the world. But when I actually walked into the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, I was still shocked! There are about 6,000 terracotta warriors buried in Pit 1 alone, and the costumes and expressions of the terracotta warriors are all different. There are many different hairstyles, different gestures, and even more different facial expressions. Qin bricks and Han tiles, bronze swords... There are so many cultural relics that shocked me. I suddenly wondered if studying archaeology would be addictive, because every discovery is a surprise.

By DONNY*SHEI |

I was looking forward to it before I came. It truly restored the scenes of the army fighting and marching in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. The bronze was handmade. I have to admire the artistic achievements of the ancients. After seeing two exhibits, it is enough to prove that this trip is not necessary.

Needless to say, Pit No. 1 was so impressive that there was no other word to describe it. The legendary Qin bricks were finally seen. Looking at Pit No. 1, we can see a war that was about to begin. Soldiers and horses were arranged in order, with clear division of labor, and they could attack or defend. It made people sink into that war era. Pit No. 2 has not been opened yet, and there are only a few exhibits in Pit No. 3, so I won't introduce them one by one.

The kneeling figurine is the tourist symbol of Shaanxi Province. Its side view looks very much like a map of Shaanxi Province. I wonder if it is a coincidence.

The standing archer figurine is a veritable cannon fodder figurine. He only has three chances to shoot arrows, and after that he has to run. If he runs too slowly he will die. He does not need to wear armor at all.

If the overall map of the Qin Mausoleum was completed, it would be equivalent to the size of seventy-six Forbidden Cities in Beijing. This shows how inflated Qin Shi Huang's mentality was at that time.

It is really "30% watching, 70% listening". If you want to increase the fun of the visit, please learn some historical knowledge in advance, and then hire a tour guide (several people can join a group, ours only costs 20 yuan per person. The manual tour guide is much more vivid than the machine one, and you can ask questions at will). If you don't understand anything, and it's not called a tour guide, you will just watch the rhythm of the earth pits and the natives and leave after half an hour.

To sum up: It's not that great, but it's a must-see.

By Hu Entai |

Be sure to take a regular bus to the Terracotta Warriors, because there are many black cars that will take tourists to fake scenic spots and show them the figurines they made. It is said that they also drew pictures of lipstick and eyebrows! Go to the train station square and take bus No. 5 to the terminal. If you can't find the place, you can ask the sanitation workers, security guards and other staff at the train station. They will be enthusiastic to show you the way, and they will not cheat you. Don't chat with people who take the initiative to chat. The main exhibition halls of the Terracotta Warriors are Pits 1, 2, and 3 and the Bronze Chariot and Horse Exhibition Hall. If you want to know more deeply, you can hire a tour guide. There are many professional tour guides with signs hanging on the road here. You can find them at any time, but I'm not sure they are not officially recommended.

The Qin Shi Huang Emperor Mausoleum Museum is a site museum built on the original site of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Pit. It is a huge and magnificent project, known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World", the greatest discovery in the history of archaeology in the 20th century, and one of the world's ten rare treasures in ancient tombs.

By Janson |

One of the must-see attractions in Xi'an. The reason why it is called the Eighth Wonder of the World is that the judge at that time was a Westerner who had never been to China.

They once protected the underground kingdom of Qin Shi Huang in colorful clouds, but were forgotten in the long river of time, living underground and swallowed by darkness for more than 2,200 years. It was not until 1974 that they were accidentally discovered by an old farmer in Yangcun who was digging a well for water. Once discovered, it shocked the world.

By China-TravelNote users |

The experience was very good, the scenery was nice, it was worth recommending, interesting and fun, the staff were very enthusiastic, although the weather was very hot, it was a very good experience, especially watching the resurrected legion, it was very shocking, very real, and very visual.

By AT-1314 |

Important things should be said three times: Try to avoid peak hours, try to avoid peak hours, try to avoid peak hours, there are too many people during peak hours. Also, if you drive yourself, it is best to park your car in the museum's parking lot. Don't be bothered, otherwise the parking fee will be sky-high.

Take a bus from Xi'an Railway Station to the Terracotta Warriors, it takes about one or two hours. I have heard that there will be many black buses to pick up passengers, and they are said to wear uniforms to sell tickets, sometimes I am very confused. But in fact, most black buses charge a little more. In any case, you can get to the Terracotta Warriors for less than 10 yuan. But remember that all buses require you to buy tickets after getting on the bus, don't be cheated

Arrived at the Terracotta Warriors, bought tickets and took a tour.

In fact, you can buy a guide here. After all, it would be a pity to just rush through this kind of cultural and historical landscape.

By Liu Xin |

You must go early or in the off-season. If you go late, you can't see the three layers inside and outside at all, and people are squeezed and can't stop. It's best to stay in the farmhouse inns next to the museum. The conditions are very good.

By Mr. Xi Shu |

The Qin Terracotta Warriors have “thousands of different faces”, and each one is unique, with real appearance and lifelike modeling. They are armed with sharp weapons, in neat military uniforms and majestic, as if they are an army ready for battle, waiting for the drums to beat and charge forward.

By smile88 |

National treasure, national treasure, national treasure~

Important things should be said three times~ You must come and see~ Feel the sedimentation of history~

I am very worried about how to protect it when the scale of discovery is large. I hope it will be better in the future.

I heard that a German boy cosplayed as the Terracotta Warriors and hid away a dozen years ago. After being repatriated 10 years later, he came back to live a different life. What a dramatic life.

By hongjunde |

Overall, it is definitely worthy of the 5A and world heritage, and the tour guide also told the funny story of the foreigner who ran in and pretended to be a terracotta warrior. The problem with the scenic spot is the shopping link after the tour. To be honest, Lantian jade is at most a tourist souvenir, but the various explanations of shopping make many tourists who don’t understand it feel a little uninformed. In fact, this is a common problem in Chinese scenic spots.

The transportation to the Terracotta Warriors is very convenient. You can take Bus No. 5 from the South Square of Xi'an Railway Station to the Terracotta Warriors. You will pass by Huaqing Hot Spring when you are almost there. The fame of the Terracotta Warriors has also promoted the popularity of Bus No. 5, which is also a business card of Xi'an. Not only are there many buses, but the buses are also very new. There is also a tour guide on each bus, who is only responsible for the general explanation, but will not recommend any projects or charge any fees. It is a good comment.

Many people on the bus got off at Huaqing Pool in advance. I checked in advance that you can buy tickets for Huaqing Palace at the exit after visiting the Terracotta Warriors. If you buy tickets here, a car will take you to the entrance of Huaqing Palace for free, so our first stop was the Terracotta Warriors.

After buying the ticket, you can visit Pit 1, Pit 2, and Pit 3. There is also a museum inside, which exhibits bronze chariots and horses, kneeling archers, etc. It is recommended to watch a documentary "World Heritage in China" before going, which includes the places in China that were recorded as world natural and cultural heritage in the past few years.

When it comes to visiting the Terracotta Warriors, the general public's evaluation is always at two extremes. Some people say it is shocking and worth the trip; many people also say that the ticket price is expensive, there are too many people, and it is "just a few big pits"! In my opinion, the question of whether the Terracotta Warriors are worth visiting also varies from person to person.

For tourists who come to Xi'an for the first time, there is basically no choice but to visit the Terracotta Warriors. Regardless of whether it is worth visiting or not, it is like going to Beijing and not climbing the Great Wall. If you come to Xi'an and don't see the Terracotta Warriors, you will always feel that something is missing. Since you have to visit the Terracotta Warriors, there is no need to be too resentful. Now that you are here, just calm down and take a good look at it carefully!

Many people find it boring because they have not built up a detailed understanding of the Terracotta Warriors before, so it is recommended to read relevant books or documentaries before coming. You will often gain more if you come prepared.

In addition, for this kind of purely cultural attraction, it is also necessary to hire a tour guide. After buying a ticket to enter the scenic area, you will find many "wild tour guides" waiting here, asking you to ask him to explain. Of course, the level of the tour guides varies, and how much content you can gain depends on each person's luck.

Furthermore, the first impression of the Terracotta Warriors is that they are actually very magnificent, but if you look at them from another angle or take a closer look, you will find that each warrior is unique and different. If you combine your rich associative ability and savor them carefully, you may have unexpected gains that are different from others!

If you learn about history, you will find that this is really a great discovery, a wonder of the world, and the wisdom of the ancients is really very high. I hope there will be an explanation when I go here, otherwise I will just see a bunch of clay figures

We heard that there was no car when we entered the park, so we decisively chose the 5 yuan/person shuttle bus. The Terracotta Warriors scene is very spectacular~ Especially the weapons and carriages are exquisitely designed~ It is especially great to see the restoration work status~ In fact, it is quite hot inside~ The staff are very hard, this is a delicate job that requires brain cells~ Before entering, we selected a tour guide outside the venue. Those wearing white uniforms are under the jurisdiction of the Tourism Bureau, and the others are managed by travel agencies. I feel that some tour guides have uneven quality~ Our tour guide is 100 yuan, and ten people + rental headphones + tour guide cost a total of 290 yuan. The explanation is very good. Our children have many questions and the tour guide is very patient. During the break, he also helped the elderly to get hot water, and the service is very thoughtful. It takes about 30 minutes to walk out of the Terracotta Warriors and there is no car to sit. The weather is too hot and it is indeed a bit tiring to walk out of the park~ Considering that I will take a hot spring bath in a while, when I am about to leave the park, the children "Burger King" and the mothers and fathers "Mr. Li" solve the lunch problem, cool down and take a rest. There are many places to eat in the park, including McDonald's, Starbucks, Roujiamo and so on. Don't eat in the food street because it is hot and unclean. It is better to eat in the store. After all, the chain stores have the same meals.

By Rest, little thief |

It is so well-known that everyone knows about it. In my opinion, Chinese people should go and see it. I have been there twice. There are indeed many tourists. Try to go in the off-season and avoid holidays.

By China-TravelNote users |

There are two ways to buy tickets: window purchase and self-service ticket machine, both in the ticket hall. Window purchases use cash, and self-service ticket machines accept bank cards, Alipay and WeChat. But I couldn't use Alipay when I came.

There are buses 915, 914 and 306 from Xi'an Railway Station. The frequency is 8 to 20 minutes and the journey takes 1 hour. I asked the ticket seller and he said the latest time is 6 o'clock.

Get off the bus and buy water, 2 yuan a bottle. There are many snacks in the scenic area, and the prices are definitely more expensive.

Let me tell you about my travel time, for reference only. I just caught the bus at the waiting point, so I didn't spend time waiting for the bus. I walked with the crowd from getting off the bus to the ticket hall, and I couldn't use Alipay to buy tickets, which took some time.

There were many tour guides in the hall. The group fee was 20 per person. After we bought the tickets, a tour guide pulled us into the group. She took us to the Bronze Crown first, and then took us to see Pits 1, 3, and 2, which took more than an hour in total.

We left at about 12 noon and returned to the train station at 5 pm. But there was no time for lunch.

The Terracotta Warriors are actually just three pits, which are more of a historical culture than a beautiful scenery. It is best to find a tour guide to visit the Terracotta Warriors, so that you can better understand the mining experience and historical culture of the Terracotta Warriors, and some of the special functions of the Terracotta Warriors. Otherwise, if you watch blindly, you will find it meaningless.

By A big white sheep |

I have to say that I was shocked by the history of our country. I recommend hiring a tour guide before entering. The price is about 100 yuan. If there are not many people, you can rent an explanation machine. Otherwise, you really can't understand it by yourself.

By fincen |

This is a popular tourist attraction in China. I used a guide to listen to the explanation and I regretted it. I suggest you get together and find a guide. There are not many pits open to the public. The most classic one is the front of the No. 1 pit, which is very spectacular.

Qin's elite soldiers rode on horses and spears and marched eastwards through Hangu Pass, destroying Han and Wei, defeating Zhao and Chu, and conquering Yan and Qi! They attacked the Xiongnu in the north and conquered the North Yue in the south, conquering the four seas and uniting the world!

By Caterpillar |

The management of the scenic area needs to be improved. The three pit areas should be arranged for >2 hours, and the Lishan Garden should be arranged for >2 hours.

By Roots |

It is better to go with a one-day tour group. There is a guide, and you can also make terracotta warriors, which is worth remembering. Lunch is also easier to solve.

It is a very worthwhile place to visit, all of them are national treasures! It's just that there are too many people during the holidays! By the way: I will say it three times: Don't go to Meng Hui Da Qin, which is 1 km away. Don't go to Meng Hui Da Qin, which is 1 km away. Don't go to Meng Hui Da Qin, which is 1 km away. That is a scam. All of them are fake Terracotta Warriors.

By Speech |

The display area is right next to the pit. I think it would be better to build a display room. Then plan the tour route so that people can only go in one direction and in one row and cannot stop. This is fast and safe. The ventilation of the bronze chariot and horses is not good. It smells. Anyway, I think the problems caused by too many tourists can actually be solved by planning and design. Xi'an did it particularly badly.
