Shilaoren Bathing Beach is located in the eastern part of Qingdao City and is one of the largest bathing beaches in Qingdao.
It is adjacent to the Polar Ocean World in the south, and the huge stone "Stone Old Man" standing in the sea can be seen in the east.
The beach is flat and the slope is gentle. Many people think that the sea water is clearer than several bathing beaches in the city, so many local residents like to come here to swim.

The sun hasn't come out yet, so many people go swimming in the sea. The temperature is still okay at this time, but once the sun comes out, the temperature will drop and everyone's hands will feel cold.
Although there were clouds below, it was still magnificent when the sun slowly rose from the clouds.
No wonder swimmers always go in the water before the sun comes out. Later, they found out that once the sun comes out, it’s so cold that their hands are frozen. . .
The quality of the beach is obviously higher than that of the third bathing beach. No one smokes or throws cigarette butts on the beach, and there is less garbage and waterweed. The beach is divided into a swimming area and a water speedboat area by buoys.
The beach shows that it will be closed at 18:00, which actually refers to water activities, and you can't go into the water after that, but you can still play on the beach. There is an area for washing feet outside the beach, but it costs money, scan the code for 2 yuan and 30 seconds, you can still make money before that.
The LuShang Hyatt Hotel where we stayed was right at Shilaoren Beach. The hotel had private beach access with room cards. Although there were many tourists, it was not difficult to set up camp and contract a little world of your own.
We also went to Shilaoren Public Beach one day during our trip, but were discouraged by the crowds on the beach and the vehicles clearing the green algae. We found a nearby coffee shop to drink, but the food was not good, so I won’t recommend it!
Shilaoren Beach is located at the south end of Haier Road in Laoshan District, east of Datang Yuyan, and is one of the beaches in Qingdao. The huge rock in the sea on the left side of Shilaoren Beach is the "Shilaoren". Compared with other beaches in the city, it is seriously polluted. You can smell the stench from a distance. The beach is full of discarded garbage. For some reason, people who come here to swim are very crowded.
Stayed 6 nights near Shilaoren and loved the beach.
In the late evening or early morning, the beach is very quiet and suitable for walking and running.
There are a lot of cars on weekends, so it is not recommended to go there. It is best to avoid peak hours, otherwise the traffic jam will be terrible.
Families love this quiet place, especially children, who have a special liking for beach sand.
I get up early every day to play in the sand for an hour before setting off to other attractions.
This period should be the seaweed invasion season, and you can see a lot of seaweed if you get up early.
There are staff during the day and the hygiene is good, but you can still see garbage thrown around occasionally.
I hope that friends who love traveling can protect the environment.
It was really super, super beautiful, the waves were not very strong, there were both beaches and reefs, there were countless cafes on the shore, all the scenery you wanted converged in the same bay, which completely offset the regretful mood of the rainy haze in the previous two days. We walked slowly along the coast and found a relatively flat reef. There were few people around, and this small and quiet stone nest became our fortress. The reef was warmed by the sun, we lay on the beach, blowing the sea breeze, the waves hitting the reef slowly, enjoying our slow time~
Suggested visiting time: If time permits, play as long as you want. This beach is highly recommended on the Internet. The water here is clearer than those at other bathing beaches. There were quite a lot of people there when I came, but the weather was still cold, so I didn't have the courage to go into the sea.
Transportation: Take Metro Line 2 and get off at Shilaoren Beach Station. Take Exit B2 and walk a few hundred meters toward the beach.
Many people are having fun at the fitness facilities on the beach
It's cloudy, and the sea isn't that blue anymore
A free attraction. This attraction is on Line 2. It should be a bathing place where locals also come because it is in Laoshan District, a certain distance from the downtown area, and the natural environment is better. It is so comfortable to relax by the sea. The sea breeze is cool and blows away the heat of the day. The sand here is very fine. There are gusts of sea breeze, and many people are flying kites. It is a very large and wide beach. This is a paradise for children. Many families bring their children to dig sand, catch the sea and set up tents.
You can sit on the sand all day long. I like this slow life. It's a very comfortable place. I recommend everyone to come to this city living room.
The sand is fine, so it's a good choice to bring children here. Dad also had a lot of fun! Laoshan is far from the city. There is a direct bus, which takes nearly an hour. You can pick up crabs here. It's a paradise for children!
There are a lot of people on the beach. It was the day when the enteromorpha came. The shore was full of enteromorpha, which affected the scenery. The sea water was not very clean. You have to pay for washing your feet.
"When you are on the other side of the mountains and ridges, I am on a lonely road with no end." There are so many stone formations, and this line of lyrics comes to mind.
Because it was the weekend, there were quite a lot of people there. I picked up a shell and felt the sea breeze.
One of the seaside bathing beaches in Qingdao. The sand on the beach is very good. It should be nice to go to the sea for bathing in summer.
A good place to watch the sunrise, few people in the morning, the beach is very clean
There are many people here, the sand is good, and the place is large, so it is recommended.
It is adjacent to the Polar Ocean World in the south, and the huge stone "Stone Old Man" standing in the sea can be seen in the east.
Shilaoren Beach is a place that was decided on at the last minute. It is definitely worth a visit! It may be quite remote, so there are almost no people. We picked up shells while walking, which was also very pleasant.
You can't see the sun setting from the sea level at Shilaoren Beach, but it's already pretty good.
The Shilaoren Beach Bathing Area is located in the city government, which is very prosperous and lively at night.
The wind is very strong at the beach, there are many tourists, the water is as clear as a mirror, and the sand is very comfortable to step on.
From the pier, walk + Mobike along the coastline to Shilaoren Bathing Beach. Because of the typhoon that day, the wind was very strong, and the bathing beach kept broadcasting that tourists were prohibited from going into the sea~
I have to say that Qingdao’s seaside bathing beach is a very ideal bathing beach in the north. It is flat, spacious and has fine sand!
It was around 7pm when we arrived, and the staff in the locker room had just finished get off work, so we could only change into swimsuits but not shower. The water was still warm, and there was no sun, and there were many people playing. The next morning at 5am, we came to watch the sunrise. Many people were holding cameras and preparing to take pictures of the sunrise. Watching the sun rise from the eastern mountain, against the backdrop of the Stone Man, and with the gentle sea breeze, it was a very beautiful scene.
The low score for scenery is mainly because there were seaweeds there today, which affected the view. As for the features, it is only a bad review. 300 yuan for 3 hours for an umbrella and three stools is a bit too much. There are too many empty spaces on the beach. Why? It is really good if everyone is happy. I think 200 yuan for an umbrella with no time limit is acceptable to everyone. It is a win-win situation. Unfortunately, they don't have this idea.
It is said to be the cleanest bathing place. I kept shouting about the blue sky and white clouds. Unfortunately, I didn't see any white clouds. The sky was really blue.
I came here today. It was too dark. Don't go there. The attitude was bad and it was not fun. This is the place I regret coming to the most. A 360-degree tent. I don't know who gave them the courage to charge such a high price. Don't go there. It was not fun.
You can rent a tent for changing clothes at Shilaoren, which costs 368 yuan each, and a shower costs 30 yuan per person. Infants and children are charged. There are also free slides for children to play next to it, but there are too many people to play. After soaking in Shilaoren for more than an hour, we went to the beer festival.
I'm so hurt. There is seaweed today. It wasn't like this before. I feel like my mood for playing has been affected.
Shilaoren Beach is the best beach I think in Qingdao. When we went there, it was sunset, there were not many people, the waves were gentle, and the beach was fine. It was very comfortable to walk on it barefoot. It is more suitable for the elderly and children to play as a family, and it is also a good place for couples to take a walk.
Take off your shoes here, stroll on the beach, feel the sea breeze, and feel the waves crashing on you. It is a time that belongs to you alone. Unfortunately, the sky was not good and I didn't see the sunset.
The coastline is long, the beach is long, there are reefs, be careful when walking
After reading everyone's recommendations, I was looking forward to the Shilaoren Bathing Beach. I live nearby so that I can take my kids there. But I was disappointed when I went there today. Maybe because of the renovation, there is only a small beach to play on, but there are many tourists, as well as some beach cars, yachts and other activities. There are a lot of broken stones, cigarette butts and garbage on the beach. It's not as comfortable and clean as the first bathing beach. I hope that the management will be strengthened after the renovation, and people will have a refreshing and clean beach.
Shilaoren is in Laoshan District. Compared with several popular bathing beaches, there are very few people here in winter. It is a great place for taking photos.
There are many Korean restaurants around Shilaoren, many of which are run by Koreans. It can be regarded as the "Korean circle" of Qingdao.
There is a Lida shopping mall very close to here, where you can buy things or go to the supermarket. The cooked food in the supermarket is delicious, exquisite and fresh.
You can go around and have a look at Shilaoren. There is a golf course next to it.
Close to the Orange Crystal Hotel where we stayed, after getting up in the morning, we walked to the beach and looked at the waves. There were also people playing gliders, which was an exciting sport. The sunrise at the beach in the morning was worth seeing, which reminded me of the article "Sunrise at Sea" that I learned when I was a child.
It’s the first time I saw the blue sea. It feels so good to chase the waves in summer.
When we went there, the weather was cooler and there were fewer tourists, but it was still a good choice to sunbathe there.
We accidentally came across Shilaoren Beach on the way back to the city from Laoshan. We had a blast at this accident. The beach was very clean and there were few people on the beach. We occupied almost half of the beach.
Shilaoren is one of the famous tourist attractions in Qingdao. The scenic spot does not charge admission tickets, and there are many tour groups, so it is a little regrettable to travel, but the scenery is very good. If you can avoid the peak, you can still take a look. The sand is relatively fine. But if you bring children, then basically some sand can be fun to play with, haha. In terms of consumption, some seaside activities, such as tents, beach chairs, fresh water washing, etc. are very expensive, and I personally do not recommend it. The transportation is still very convenient. If you stay in the hotel, just ask at the front desk, it is very convenient.
It was the first beach I came across in Qingdao. I didn’t think it was anything special at first. It wasn’t until I walked into the city and saw the first and second bathing beaches that I realized that Shilaoren was really great. First of all, the coastline is long and wide enough. Moreover, because it is relatively far from the city center, it was developed later, and the water quality seems to be better.
It’s my first time (2017) to go swimming in Qingdao. It’s hot today, and it’s quite nice to be able to go swimming in September. The environment feels better than the several beaches in the west.
Clean beach, but the waves are a bit big, which is good.
A really big beach.
I went there after get off work and it was already dark. Since it was a weekday and evening, there weren't many people there, but it was obvious that there were still a lot of people walking and jogging.
The environment is very good, the infrastructure is very complete, the beach is very bright under the searchlights, and the broadcast has been informing everyone that the beach is open for swimming until 18:00, and warning people not to swim in the sea during closing hours.
I couldn't play in the sand or water without my formal leather shoes, so I just walked west along the wooden boardwalk beside the beach. After about one subway stop, I arrived at the Planning Museum. By chance, I came across a community activity nearby, which was quite lively.
What is there in front of the Planning Museum? A plank road? A dike? Inland children can’t tell exactly what it is. Anyway, it is a platform that can be walked to the depths. Standing on the platform and looking back at the beach, the exterior wall lights and animations are very beautiful.
Looking north from the west side of the Planning Hall, the golden peak should be the top of Fushan Mountain, which is magnificently illuminated by the searchlight.
I went there ten years ago, I think it would be better to go now.
It's very popular, the sea water is OK, it feels good
The sand is very fine. I didn't have time to go to Silver Beach, so I can't compare. But it is bigger and has finer sand than the second beach, and the baby had a lot of fun.
The first stop when I arrived in Qingdao was Shilaoren. It felt like a faraway place. I really liked it.
The class had a great time at the beach. It was really great. It’s more fun when there are more people.
Shilaoren Beach is located at the southern end of Haier Road in Laoshan District, east of Datang Fishery Banquet. It is one of the largest bathing beaches in Qingdao city. The huge rock in the sea on the left end of Shilaoren Beach is "Shilaoren". It has become a comprehensive tourist resort beach integrating vacation, sightseeing, marine sports, beach sports, leisure and entertainment.
Shilaoren is located in Shilaoren National Tourism Resort, Qingdao City. In the golden area of the sea area west of Shilaoren Village, there is a 17-meter-high stone pillar 100 meters from the shore, shaped like an old man sitting in the blue waves, known as "Shilaoren". This is the first attraction we arrived at, and we took a few photos.
After going to the Polar Ocean World yesterday, I took bus No. 317 to the Shilaoren Bathing Beach, which was very convenient. The sand in the Shilaoren Bathing Beach is very fine, and it is very comfortable to step on it. The water is also very clean. The only bad thing is that there is no place to wash shoes and feet. They said that the bathing beach is closed and all the washing rooms are not open. What's more, the water for washing hands in the bathroom is also stopped, saying that they are afraid that others will wash their feet and block the sewer. I think the scenic spot should consider arranging a large pool on the shore for everyone to wash their shoes and feet, instead of cutting off the water in the bathroom. This does not solve the problem. I stepped on the sand when I got off the bus yesterday. I was depressed😒
It's just so-so. There are too many people and the sea water can't be compared with Southeast Asian countries!
I always think this is the best beach in Qingdao, a place where young people like to go, very clean, beautiful and quiet sea, and some marine entertainment activities
There weren't many people and the sand was very fine. Most importantly, I tried paragliding for the first time here. Although the time in the air was really, really short!!!
First of all, it's free! The sand here is very fine, and it's very comfortable to rub your feet from shore to shore! But the water is a little cold now, but the water is very clear! There are really not many places with good water now!
It's great to go to the beach when the sun is shining, and it must be great to walk on the beach when the weather is warm
I went there on the morning of my departure, but I didn't go down.
The last stop is worth the trip. The lonely old man Shi.

When we just passed by, the beach broadcast [Due to strong winds and rough waves, Shilaoren Bathing Beach is closed urgently, please go ashore immediately]~~
But it’s fun when the wind and waves are strong! Later it was confirmed that this day was the most enjoyable day for playing in the water! There will never be such big waves to surf in the future... (Hold myself tightly for not bringing a swimsuit...)
Shilaoren Beach has clear water, fine sand, and a flat and gentle beach. The renovated beach will be connected by a coastal promenade, which will be the main line to connect four high-quality beach activity areas, including the holiday beach, celebration beach, sports beach, and senior member beach, becoming a comprehensive tourist resort beach integrating vacation, sightseeing, marine sports, beach sports, and leisure and entertainment.
At the foot of Wushan Mountain, on the south side of the cliff by the sea, there is a 17-meter-high stone pillar a hundred meters from the shore, shaped like an old man sitting in the blue waves, known as the "Stone Old Man". The old man holds his chin with his hand, staring intently, greets the sunrise in the morning and sees off the sunset in the evening, and has gone through many vicissitudes of life with the ebb and flow of the tide. This artistic masterpiece carved by the magic of nature has become an important symbol of the Stone Old Man National Tourist Resort and a famous tourist attraction in Qingdao.
Shilaoren Beach, the huge rock in the sea on the left is "Shilaoren". You can also get off at Shilaoren Village and walk to the beach to enjoy the close view, but it is not as beautiful as the view from a distance.
Traffic Information:
In the city, you can take buses 102, 104, 110, 125, 301, 304, 311, 321, 382, 501, and 623 and get off at Haier Road Station;
Take bus No. 313 or 362 and get off at the Qingdao Grand Theater stop;
Take the No. 317 coastal sightseeing bus, No. 504, or the Urban Sightseeing Line 1 and get off at the "Shilaoren Bathing Beach" stop.
Take bus No. 386 and get off at Haier Road South Station.
This place is far from the city, so not many people go there. If you don't like the hustle and bustle and just want to watch the sea quietly, I think this place is a good choice. However, it's too cold in October, remember to wear long sleeves, the sea breeze is a bit cold, and seeing how happy we are playing, you know it must be good.
The waves are big and there are undercurrents in the sea, so it's not suitable for swimming, but it's good for walking.
I just feel that the "Shilaoren Beach" under the sunset gives you a "gentle and profound" feeling; it is calm and peaceful: when you are close to the shore, the waves gently and quietly brush your toes, perhaps you feel cool and refreshing, but you are immature in every way; when you walk on the shore, the waves come towards you layer by layer, washing your ankles, or you feel that the sea is full of passion, but it is so gentle...
The sea water is very clear. Many local people from Qingdao come here to play. I live very close to here, so I also come here to swim. The wind and waves were relatively strong on the 4th, which was exactly what I wanted. I had a lot of fun.
I came here after hearing the recommendation from my classmates. It's really great! There are fewer tourists than other bathing places, the sea is blue, the water is clear and the beach is gentle, and the sand is super soft~~~ You can't swim.
The offshore beach of Shilaoren is much better than Yiyu, but of course there are still a lot of stones in the distance, which is not good. In July, the Enteromorpha in Qingdao grew wildly, and Shilaoren has not been cleaned up yet. The beach was full of green Enteromorpha in the morning.
But surprisingly, it was very comfortable to step on!! It was soft and not sticky, just like stepping on a carpet!
According to locals, Shilaoren Beach is the cleanest beach. I found that the beach is indeed very clean, with fine sand and clean water. You can see it from the pictures. We went there at the end of June, and it was not officially open yet. There were no rescue and public services. There were only a few shops selling simple beach toys. It was a bit simple. It was officially opened in July, and other public facilities were more complete, but there would be more people.
Shilaoren Beach is far from the city, not far from where we live, not too crowded, but it's super hard to park, basically occupying a lane waiting in line, fortunately its parking fee is hourly, 8 yuan per hour, this should be a constraint so there are still cars coming out, you can go in, wait for about half an hour and finally get in. Don't wait to park on the roadside, especially on the two sides closest to the beach, you will be ticketed, when we passed by, many cars had tickets floating on them.
After waking up, I went to the beach to play. Because it had just rained, I stepped on the water and strolled on the beach. Maybe it was due to the weather, there were few people at Shilaoren Beach!
The beach is clean and the sea water is blue, much better than Xiamen. If you can swim, it is best to check the temperature before going into the water. The blue sky, white clouds and beach are still very beautiful. The key is to wear sunscreen!!!
Shilaoren Beach is the largest and cleanest beach in Qingdao. The sand is finer, the waves are bigger, and there is a big rock that looks like an old man looking into the distance. It is a favorite place for parents with children. It is very close to the Sculpture Park and Shilaoren Tourist Park.
It's very big, but far away, so there are fewer people here, the scenery is open, the sea water is clear, and it's a very good scenic spot. You can see the Stone Old Man from a distance. On the south side of the cliff at the foot of Wushan Mountain, there is a 17-meter-high stone pillar 100 meters away from the shore. It looks like an old man sitting in the blue waves, and is called "Stone Old Man". After coming out of the beach, it is still far from the public foot-washing area. The water for foot-washing bought next to it is in a large iron bucket, which may be specially prepared for unprepared tourists like us. There is also a sailing statue next to it, where you can take pictures.
There are fewer people here, the sunrise is beautiful, and the streets are clean.
Walking along the coastal plank road, admiring the charming scenery of the seaside, is a delight that makes people linger.
A large bathing beach with fine sand. I went there in winter but didn't go in the water! The sea is still very beautiful!
Shilaoren Beach is located in the east of Qingdao, at the southernmost end of Qinling Road. It is the largest beach in downtown Qingdao. The area around here is quite prosperous, close to Lida, Blue Sea, Grand Theater, etc., and the transportation is also very convenient, with buses and subways to reach. The beach is also part of the coastal promenade, and there is a wooden boardwalk near Donghai Road.
Because the bathing beach has a large area, good sand, a long coastline and a wide view, there are many people here every summer afternoon, and both locals and tourists like to come. From the beach to the east, you can see the big stone of the old man.
Because the sea is open and the waves at the beach increase when the wind and waves are strong, it is dangerous for people who are not familiar with water.
