Shilaoren Bathing Beach

Shilaoren Beach is located in the east of Qingdao, at the southernmost end of Qinling Road. It is the largest beach in downtown Qingdao. The area around here is quite prosperous, close to Lida, Blue Sea, Grand Theater, etc., and the transportation is also very convenient, with buses and subways to reach. The beach is also part of the coastal promenade, and there is a wooden boardwalk near Donghai Road.

Because the bathing beach has a large area, good sand, a long coastline and a wide view, there are many people here every summer afternoon, and both locals and tourists like to come. From the beach to the east, you can see the big stone of the old man.

Because the sea is open and the waves at the beach increase when the wind and waves are strong, it is dangerous for people who are not familiar with water.

The sun hasn't come out yet, so many people go swimming in the sea. The temperature is still okay at this time, but once the sun comes out, the temperature will drop and everyone's hands will feel cold.

Although there were clouds below, it was still magnificent when the sun slowly rose from the clouds.

No wonder swimmers always go in the water before the sun comes out. Later, they found out that once the sun comes out, it’s so cold that their hands are frozen. . .

The quality of the beach is obviously higher than that of the third bathing beach. No one smokes or throws cigarette butts on the beach, and there is less garbage and waterweed. The beach is divided into a swimming area and a water speedboat area by buoys.

The beach shows that it will be closed at 18:00, which actually refers to water activities, and you can't go into the water after that, but you can still play on the beach. There is an area for washing feet outside the beach, but it costs money, scan the code for 2 yuan and 30 seconds, you can still make money before that.

The LuShang Hyatt Hotel where we stayed was right at Shilaoren Beach. The hotel had private beach access with room cards. Although there were many tourists, it was not difficult to set up camp and contract a little world of your own.



We also went to Shilaoren Public Beach one day during our trip, but were discouraged by the crowds on the beach and the vehicles clearing the green algae. We found a nearby coffee shop to drink, but the food was not good, so I won’t recommend it!

There are staff during the day and the hygiene is good, but you can still see garbage thrown around occasionally.

Maybe because of the renovation, there is only a small beach to play on, but there are many tourists, as well as some beach cars, yachts and other activities. There are a lot of broken stones, cigarette butts and garbage on the beach. It's not as comfortable and clean as the first bathing beach. I hope that the management will be strengthened after the renovation, and people will have a refreshing and clean beach.

Shilaoren is in Laoshan District. Compared with several popular bathing beaches, there are very few people here in winter. It is a great place for taking photos.

There are many Korean restaurants around Shilaoren, many of which are run by Koreans. It can be regarded as the "Korean circle" of Qingdao.

There is a Lida shopping mall very close to here, where you can buy things or go to the supermarket. The cooked food in the supermarket is delicious, exquisite and fresh.

The offshore beach of Shilaoren is much better than Yiyu, but of course there are still a lot of stones in the distance, which is not good. In July, the Enteromorpha in Qingdao grew wildly, and Shilaoren has not been cleaned up yet. The beach was full of green Enteromorpha in the morning.

It was officially opened in July, and other public facilities were more complete, but there would be more people.

Shilaoren Beach is far from the city, not far from where we live, not too crowded, but it's super hard to park, basically occupying a lane waiting in line, fortunately its parking fee is hourly, 8 yuan per hour, this should be a constraint so there are still cars coming out, you can go in, wait for about half an hour and finally get in. Don't wait to park on the roadside, especially on the two sides closest to the beach, you will be ticketed, when we passed by, many cars had tickets floating on them.

After waking up, I went to the beach to play. Because it had just rained, I stepped on the water and strolled on the beach. Maybe it was due to the weather, there were few people at Shilaoren Beach!
