Changfeng Park, located at 189 Daduhe Road, Putuo District, in the western part of downtown Shanghai, is a National AAAA-level scenic spot. It borders the renowned East China Normal University to the east, Suzhou Creek to the south, Daduhe Road to the west, and Nujiang Road to the north. The park has four gates: the main south gate, known as Gate 1, is located on Daduhe Road; the east gate, known as Gate 2, is located at the south end of Zaoyang Road; the north gate, known as Gate 3, is located on Nujiang Road; and the west gate, known as Gate 4, is located at the intersection of Daduhe Road and Yunling Road. Construction began in April 1957, initially named Huxi Park. During its partial trial opening in 1958, the park was renamed Biluo Lake Park, in honor of its main attraction, Biluo Lake. It officially opened on National Day in 1959, taking its name from the poem "I wish to ride the long wind and break the waves of ten thousand miles" from the "Book of Song: Biography of Zong Que."
Spanning 364,000 square meters, the park is a large, comprehensive landscape park in Shanghai. It boasts the city's largest artificial lake, Yinchu Lake, at 146,700 square meters. Renamed from Biluo Lake, the park's tallest man-made mountain, Tiebi Mountain, stands 26 meters tall and covers 10,000 square meters. The names of the lake and mountain are inspired by the lines from Mao Zedong's seven-character poem "Sending Away the God of Plague": "The sky connects the Five Ridges, the silver hoe falls; the earth shakes the Three Rivers, the iron arm sways." In 1998, Changfeng Park was selected as one of China's 100 Famous Gardens by the Ministry of Construction and the China Park Association. In 2002, it was designated a Shanghai Four-Star Park.

Changfeng Park is an urban oasis that blends natural beauty with recreational activities. Lined with lush greenery, the park's vibrant lake and mountain scenery create a captivating backdrop, creating a sense of escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Yinchu Lake, the park's centerpiece, offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy a boat ride and a gentle breeze. The park's Changfeng Ocean World and Legoland Discovery Center are popular destinations for families, where children can interact with marine life and explore the world of Lego. Additionally, the park's lawns and trails are perfect for picnics, running, or cycling. Whether for a family outing or a solitary escape, Changfeng Park offers a tranquil and enjoyable experience.
A very beautiful park in Shanghai, with an aquarium inside. However, the boat service only accepts cash, which is a bit inconvenient.
I have the impression that this park is quite large, and I often go boating there in the novel.
In the past, Changning Putuo Park was as famous as Zhongshan Park and was also a place where locals often visited. Now, with the oceanarium, many people bring their children here.
You can watch beluga whale shows in Changfeng Park. You can take your children there to play on weekends and learn about marine life at the same time.
Changfeng Park, originally built in April 1957 and previously known as Huxi Park and Biluo Lake Park, officially opened on National Day in 1959 and was renamed Changfeng Park. Covering 364,000 square meters, Changfeng Park is located in the western part of Shanghai's central urban area, in the south-central part of Putuo District.
No tickets required, it's quite big inside
It’s a 4A park. It’s a blessing for the citizens to have such a large park in the downtown area.
The city's green lungs are perfect for morning jogging.
The scenery is nice, whether inside the park or outside the park near the Suzhou River, there are green spaces on both sides. It is a good place to enjoy flowers in spring.
It's an old park with a large area, but the facilities are a bit old and the maintenance is not very good.
We entered through Gate 2 in the northeast corner. This park is free of charge. The park boasts several large artificial lakes, interspersed with artificial mountains and hills. These are covered in tall, lush trees, with vines spreading outward, revealing the trees are decades old. Long arched bridges connect the mountains, and the lake is dotted with yachts, giant rubber ducks, and other creatures. We walked along the shores of Yinchu Lake, which stretches for hundreds of acres. The trail winds along, connecting paths, and is filled with pavilions and breathtaking scenery. There's also a lakeside promenade where elderly people dance, and sculptures are displayed on fences, along with emerald Taihu stones. Changfeng Park boasts numerous paths, lawns, flowers, and scenic views, and it's packed with visitors. On the slopes along the roadside, artificial mountains are planted with a variety of exotic flowers and rare trees. It's truly a truly remarkable place, with a new scene at every turn. No wonder it attracts so many people for a leisurely stroll. It offers everything you need, making it a perfect place for relaxation and well-being.
We first went to the Beluga Whale Pavilion to watch the Beluga whale show. There were some special fish displays before entering the pavilion.
I went to the aquarium there twice when I was studying, but the one in Lujiazui is also very famous now.
There are too many people, but it is close to home and you can take your kids there for a stroll. However, it is crowded on weekends or during summer vacation.
On May 26, 2018, I went to the back of the school. I was not in good condition at the time, so I went there to relax. There were many exercises and the lighting was great. I sent photos to my father. I hope he can come here and enjoy the scenery in the future.
Changfeng Park is located across from the Jackie Chan Film Museum and is a free park. (Of course, the aquarium and the white whale show are charged.) It's one of the nicest parks in Shanghai, with mountains, water, pavilions, and islands. A full walk takes 1-2 hours. I braved the 34°C heat today and walked around it. Not bad.
It was a great place to relax on weekends when I was in college. After so many years, I still remember rowing with my classmates.
It is very close to East China Normal University, and it is filled with happy memories of my youth.
It's a relatively small attraction for foreign tourists, but it's also a national AAAA-level scenic spot. I recommend bringing children here, and be sure to visit the aquarium and see a beluga whale show.
You can also go boating on the lake and enjoy a leisurely time.
Or you can set up a tent on the lawn and have fun with your children.
There is no ticket for visiting the park alone, but you need to buy a separate ticket to go to the ocean and watch the beluga whale show.
The park is very big and no tickets are required. It is quite interesting to rent an electric boat and enjoy the ride.
The park is free of charge. The plants in the park are lush and varied. I walked around and found the peony garden, osmanthus garden, pine, bamboo and plum, azalea pavilion, and many other places suitable for entertainment, such as the aquarium, white whale theater, amusement park, etc. Overall, the residents living nearby are very lucky.
The park is free and quite large, but there are also many people. You can enjoy the sunset while sitting on a bench by the river. The lake water is very clean and has no odor. You can rent a small boat and sail in the lake.
Flowers bloom year-round, and you can go boating, watch people fly kites, and go fishing. There's also an ocean world to visit. As the poem attests:
Changfeng Park is good
Changfeng Park is good
Everyone gets up early in the long wind
Drink tea and walk the bird
Singing and dancing with great enthusiasm
Trees are evergreen, water flows forever
Many flowers throughout the year
The wind shakes the leaves, and I hear laughter
Beautiful woman by the lotus pond
Silver Chu Lake, Green Maple Island
Dragon Boat Festival every year
Songhe Pavilion, Fishing Bridge
Playing the flute on Tiebi Mountain
I advise you to come to Changfeng often
Keep you worry-free every day
The aquarium inside is very good, with a white whale show, which is not available in Lujiazui. The ball-heading show is very exciting, and ICBC cards have discounts.
It is especially suitable to go in the spring when flowers are blooming. The park is very lively with people singing, boating and playing chess.
The park's overall layout has been updated, but the changes are minor. However, looking out from inside the park, one can see skyscrapers and hotels rising from the ground, a testament to the development of this era. Admission is free, and kite flying is permitted. However, pets and releasing animals are prohibited.
The park has several gates. Due to its long history, the gates are unassuming and retain the simple, comfortable style of years ago.
Changfeng Park is very small, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you're particularly busy. After all, there are so many fun places in Shanghai.
The scenery is very good, I come here often. There are a lot of cats here.
Changfeng Park is just across the Suzhou River, accessible via Gubei Bridge or Luding Road Bridge. The park covers 366,000 square meters, 143,000 of which is water. It's one of Shanghai's largest comprehensive landscape parks. The park is beautifully landscaped and bustling with people, from playing musical instruments and singing to running, practicing Tai Chi, and even rowing boats. Having a park like this in the city is truly a delight! Changfeng Ocean World is also located within the park. It's a delightful place to visit on holidays and weekends!
There are a lot of people in the park next to my house. There are people singing, dancing, running, Tai Chi, boating, children's playground, Tiebi Mountain, Yinchu Lake, Beluga Performance Hall, etc. In short, it is very good to have such a park in the city.
The park is large and has beautiful scenery as a 4A-level scenic spot. It is free of charge and is a good place for both tourists and residents to have activities. It also has the Changfeng Ocean World, which attracts many tourists.
It's in the suburbs, easily accessible by bus. If you go early, you can see elderly Shanghainese people dancing, practicing Tai Chi, walking their birds, and strolling. On previous visits, there was no entrance fee; it felt more like a local park, with an ocean world added in. Just strolling through the park itself is quite relaxing. Listen to the soft, lingering Shanghainese dialect, stroll, and enjoy the scenery. The park is beautifully landscaped, with many ancient trees, and it's a rare place in Shanghai with fresh air.
Changfeng Park is one of the most visited parks. It is large and has beautiful scenery. Various activities are sometimes held there. Those with children can visit the underwater world.
Changfeng Park is a relatively large park, but the subway next to it has not been repaired yet.
Changfeng Park is very large. There are no tourists visiting the amusement facilities on rainy days in winter, but there are still people queuing to visit the aquarium. It is definitely a good place to come here for a walk and breathe oxygen. You can also go boating in good weather.
It is full of childhood memories, rowing on Yinchu Lake and climbing Tiebi Mountain.
A very pleasant place, a park suitable for relaxing and jogging.
However, it is a bit far from the subway station, so you can consider your own travel time before deciding whether to go.
The park is not free, and there is no entrance fee. The Ocean World and the Beluga Whale Pavilion inside do require an entrance fee. There were not many people in the park, probably because of the cold weather. The lake in the park is quite large, and most Shanghai people know this place.
The vegetation is lush, the transportation is convenient, the supporting facilities are average, it is open to the public free of charge, and the travel suitability is average.
It’s average, not big, not as big and spacious as Century Park.
It's OK, it's quite far, there are dolphin and sea lion performances, but I don't want to watch any animal performances anymore, I always feel that there is a price to pay for any performance.
March 21, 2015.
There is nothing special about it. I went there on a bored weekend. I mainly paid to see the underwater world, but I didn't go.
Changfeng Park is a typical leisure park, which also has some entertainment facilities for children.
The park is quite standard, with an oceanarium where you can bring your children to play.
Changfeng Oceanarium is average. Personally, I don't think it's as good as the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium in Pudong. The facilities are older and smaller. Also, the beluga whale show requires a 15-minute walk to another location. Beluga whale shows have set times, so please check online.
This place is also good. It is very close to East China Normal University. The most unique feature is the underwater world.
When I was little, I often went boating in Changfeng Park. The lake was quite large for the time, and there were many bridge arches. It was fun to ride an electric boat through the arches. After boating, we'd climb Tiebi Mountain and try out all the rides, then go home feeling very satisfied.
I've only been to the aquarium there once.
You can see beluga whales in Shanghai Changfeng Park and watch beluga whale performances in the Beluga Whale Pavilion at Shanghai Changfeng Ocean World.
There are relatively few people going to the city center. The location is not very accurate.
I went there twice as a kid and haven't been since almost 20 years ago.
There is an ocean world in the park, which is a good place to take children to play.
There is a big park at the doorstep, and if you have a baby at home, you will naturally go there often.
Shanghai Changfeng Park is located at 189 Daduhe Road, Shanghai. It borders East China Normal University to the east, the Wusong River (Suzhou Creek) to the south, Daduhe Road to the west, and Nujiang Road to the north. Construction began in 1956 and it opened to the public on National Day in 1959. With an area of 366,000 square meters, including 143,000 square meters of water surface, it is one of Shanghai's largest comprehensive landscape parks.
The free park in Putuo District is very suitable for weekend fun, especially taking children to row a boat and fly kites. It is really pleasant.
Changfeng Park has Forever Bay, Ocean World, boating on Silver Chue Lake, and Iron Arm Mountain, which seemed huge when I was a kid but now seems small. Although it's a free park, don't spend too much money, so bring some cash.
The parks in Shanghai have no special features, so just wander around and relax.
Good greening, a good place for people to relax and have fun
A relatively large park in the northwest corner of Shanghai, Ocean World is very suitable for children.
Located in Changning District, Shanghai, there is also Changfeng Ocean World, a popular place for parent-child entertainment
Shanghai Changfeng Park is located in Putuo District, close to East China Normal University. It does not require admission and is a great place to visit all year round.
Changfeng Ocean Park, I just feel that the domestic ocean park tickets are too expensive
This park, located right next to East China Normal University, was a favorite during my childhood. There's a large lake in the park, where I often rowed boats. Now, the boats are electric and pedal. There's also a path for the brave, a children's playground, and more. It's also very relaxing to bring a tent and soak up the sun on the grass.
It is a park with a long history in Shanghai. It is called Changfeng Ocean Park. Shanghai Normal University is nearby. There used to be various dark cuisines nearby, but they were later demolished.
When I was a kid, I would go boating there. It's near East China Normal University.
Living nearby, it's nice to go for a walk in your spare time. The scenery changes with each season. There are several lawns in the park that are suitable for picnics. It feels very relaxing to sit there on weekend afternoons.
I only passed by Shanghai Changfeng Park when I went there because I had to pass by here on my tour to Changfeng Ocean World. The Ocean Park is located inside Changfeng Park. The park is quite large and well-landscaped. Some elderly people were playing with their children in the park.
The construction of greening really reflects the height of a city
In the past, the Brave Road was loved by many children. Now there are more entertainment facilities for everyone to play.
It's not worth going to Putuo. It's a rather messy district. Changfeng Park has no special features.
When I was a child, Changfeng Park was the most fun park in my mind, no doubt about it.
This is one of the parks I visit most often. I have a family annual pass at Ocean World and often take my children there. The various projects in the park are suitable for relaxing.
The lake is quite large, and the oceanarium tickets are really expensive. I kept hearing people singing by the lake, and it was so loud that it disturbed everyone...
The park is free, but the place is too small. The only famous thing about it is that there is an ocean park inside, which is worth a visit.
This is a large park in the city center, a 4A scenic area with beautiful scenery. A full tour takes about two hours. The park is free, but there is an ocean world and a beluga whale museum that require admission, which are quite expensive. It's recommended not to go without children. There's a lake called Yinchu Lake in Changfeng Park, where you can go boating. On sunny days, it's often crowded. Renting a boat to explore Changfeng Park is a great option, and you can also get a close look at the giant yellow duck in the lake. Iron Arm Mountain in Changfeng Park is not crowded and is worth climbing.
Changfeng Park is actually a great place to visit at night. It's even nicknamed "Night Park" at night, perhaps to emphasize the stark difference between the scenery and the daytime atmosphere. Actually, I've lost interest in photographing parks, including night scenes, since photographing some of Xi'an's more recently built parks a few years ago. Adding Changfeng Park to my itinerary is a completely forced decision, as I'm sure my trip to Shanghai won't be in vain.
