Fudan University - I first learned about it from the movie "A Beautiful Woman" that I watched back then. As a child, I naively thought that as long as I worked hard, I could get into this university. I have a dream of studying at Fudan University. I squeezed it into my schedule anyway. I want to be an interesting but useless soul.

While Fudan University's Handan campus is quite large, it's often crisscrossed by numerous roads, making it feel rather scattered. While the campus does feature some vintage, imitation-style buildings, I don't think they truly define the university. There are also many newer structures, but the most eye-catching is the Guanghua Building I mentioned above. Seeing this imposing Guanghua Building reminded me of the Changzhou Municipal People's Government building I encountered during my 2017 trip to Changzhou. I took the elevator to the 30th floor and originally planned to take the stairs to the rooftop for aerial photography, but unfortunately, the doors were locked. The elevator only goes up to the 30th floor, and the 30th floor seemed completely deserted, with no one there. The facilities were a bit shabby and run-down. Being alone on the 30th floor felt strangely eerie.

We walked along Fudan University's streets, a path crisscrossed by various colleges and its affiliated middle school. Plane trees lined the path, creating a tranquil retreat amidst the bustle, perfect for morning exercises and strolls. A simple romance in college, walking hand in hand along such a path, followed by a few playful chases, was a memorable youthful experience.

The campus is truly stunning, with giant sycamore trees creating a campus perfect for photoshoots. Fudan University is even more beautiful than Tongji University, and there's a certain hidden pride about it.

I always felt like I wasn't going to the Fudan University I wanted to visit. I think it was a branch campus of Fudan University, but it's quite large. The buildings inside are obviously old, and there's an exhibition hall with human specimens, which I really didn't have the courage to do. It's not as welcoming to outsiders as Jiaotong University, and maybe it was a holiday when I went, so I didn't see any students on campus. I prefer Jiaotong University.

When visiting a city, you have to visit a university. The gate of Fudan University is incredibly ordinary, but because it's Fudan University, it's a must-see. The Handan campus is the old campus, and I think this kind of old campus is the most charming when visiting a university. The environment is great.

Get off at Guoquan Road subway station and walk to Shanghai's top university with a strong cultural atmosphere. When I went there, I happened to encounter the Shanghai Forum held in Guanghua Building.

I really like Fudan’s cute school emblem, with two 100-year anniversaries, which is very meaningful; the school has beautiful greenery, and it is full of spring, with flowers in full bloom, but it is a pity that the cherry blossoms have faded; the school buildings are a blend of old and new, Chinese and foreign, and have a very historical atmosphere; the school slogan is full of the freedom, youthfulness and liveliness of a comprehensive liberal arts university.

I don't know when it started, but when I visit a city, I love visiting the best schools there. Fudan University is incredibly huge! We asked several people before finally finding Guanghua Building (Figure 3). Tired of riding our bikes, we just lay quietly on the grass, savoring the moment. Looking back, it's a beautiful memory.

You have to ride a bike to visit places like this, otherwise you won't be able to enjoy it! It's really huge. Because the light was not good at the end, I didn't take many photos.

I was dragged there and walked from University Road. It's a remote place and not many people are there during the summer vacation.

The current main campus (Handan Campus) houses the School History Museum, Xianghui Hall, and Zibin Building, all of which are older and have been selected as Shanghai's Outstanding Historical Buildings. The campus's overall style is quite harmonious, with plane trees lining the main paths, making for a pleasant stroll. I really like the big lawn under Guanghua Building. It is very suitable for a few people to hang out and chat. I feel that at Fudan, you have to ride a small yellow bike around to feel how rich the university life of a real academic master is!

After strolling around the Bund, I took bus No. 854 from Sichuan North Road to Qiujiang Road Station. Fudan University is a verdant campus, and the aging red bricks of the teaching buildings reveal its rich history. I'm curious about the university's most prestigious discipline, perhaps medicine?

Fudan's campus is very similar to Nanjing Normal University's Suiyuan Campus. Those who've been there will understand what I mean. A city where I have lived and worked for more than two years, a real magic city, a city that made me go from hating it to falling in love with it, and then to not wanting to leave it, it is really beautiful!!!

Fudan University and Tongji University are very close to each other, just one subway stop apart. If you're coming from Shanghai Station, take Line 4 and transfer to Line 10 to Guoquan Road. Just walk toward Handan Road to reach the destination. Guoquan Road is flanked by Fudan's campuses on both sides. Fudan University is quite interesting, boasting a vast campus. The North Campus is relatively concentrated, forming a single campus, while the South Campus is essentially a separate campus for each college, with residential areas nestled in between. Handan Road abruptly divides the North and South campuses. Of course, the South Campus houses Fudan's affiliated kindergarten, elementary school, and middle school.

Fudan University is actually quite interesting. The campus is actually very large. The North Campus is relatively concentrated and can form a campus. The South Campus basically consists of one area for each college, and there are also residential communities in the middle. The North and South Campuses are divided into two parts by Handan Road. Of course, it must be said that the South Campus has Fudan’s affiliated kindergarten, primary school, and middle school.

Fudan University was Lib's childhood dream school, and I had to visit it anyway. The winter afternoon sun illuminated Fudan University perfectly, warm and bright, with verdant grass and trees, and it didn't look like winter at all. "Sun and moon shine brightly, and dawn brings Fudan"—Fudan's campus truly lives up to this line. Fudan University has to be the most brilliantly named university in China, bar none. Students sat reading on the steps in front of the teaching building, and groups of students were also scattered on the lawn. In that moment, all the stress from the exams washed away, and I finally felt rejuvenated. I was ready to fight another 300 rounds of battles against the Gs and Ts! Being able to study is truly a blessing!

There are so many cats at Fudan University. One cat is every 10 meters. It's a great experience to experience the world of academic elites. I think Fudan University is quite low-key and has a very humanistic atmosphere. The campus is large and old, so students don't spend much time dressing up. After school, everyone discusses problems with the teachers in the classroom.

I sat on a bench at Fudan University, where plane trees intertwined everywhere. Though I wasn't hungry, I longed to eat at Danyuan Restaurant. The wind rustled the leaves, and I really wanted to sleep here for a while. If I'd tried harder to score a few extra points on the Gaokao, wouldn't I have met different people, experienced different things, and lived a different life? I envy the kids who get to go to school here, as if even falling in love is beautiful. I met some people along the way, those who came to Shanghai without any preparation. I envy the brave ones; they seem to glow. It's so comfortable, and the wind here is so gentle. There are so many people holding children. I have a wish: to walk around campus with the one I love, whether it's theirs or mine; it doesn't matter; it's such a romantic experience. The many trees on campus are simply beautiful, and the lawn is a bonus. It would be fun to take a nap on a bench.

Fudan might be associated with its rich history, while Tongji stems from its flagship program—Architecture. We had lunch directly in the Fudan University cafeteria. Cash wasn't accepted, so we had to find a girl to swipe our credit card. The dishes weren't particularly impressive, but it was a fun way to eat at university. Cycling around campus, my favorite thing about the trees was the rows of plane trees. Plane trees are commonly used as street trees in East China, including my hometown. So, every time I see a plane tree, I'm reminded of my hometown. Although its hairy seeds drop every autumn and winter, causing sneezing and even breakouts for sensitive individuals, its large leaves provide a refreshing shade in the summer. Now that it's autumn, the seeds haven't yet set, and the dry, fallen leaves create a unique urban landscape.

Fudan is a large and beautiful arts university. As soon as I entered, I felt like I wanted to be a top student. There were many international students, beautiful scenery, a strong academic atmosphere, and a wide variety of activities. There were also clubs for discussions and research. People living nearby also brought their children to lie on the lawn and bask in the sun.

There are so many bicycles on campus. If time permits, it is recommended to ride a bicycle around the campus.

Although I didn't visit every corner of Fudan, it gave me a great feeling

I've always wanted to visit Fudan University, and I finally got to go this time. Transportation is incredibly convenient. The subway goes directly there, and there are all sorts of Fudan signs just down the street. A short walk leads to various affiliated centers, and after a school district, you'll find Fudan University, but it's not the main entrance. During the National Day holiday, you might need to register before entering the campus.

Entering the campus, I still feel like I'm back to school. The tall teaching buildings, the kittens wandering around, the lush lawns, the old bicycles that still look old – this is the feeling of school.

The canteen is cheap! The canteen is cheap! The canteen is cheap! This is important, Shi Qiang said it three times. In Shanghai, where prices are high, the school canteen is really affordable, and the portions are generous! No wonder so many people go there to eat.

Not far from Tongji University is Fudan University, also one of China's most renowned universities. Upon entering the campus, I was captivated by the Guanghua Building. I'd seen it from the Oriental Pearl Tower, but I hadn't expected it to be so imposing once inside. Standing 30 stories tall, it's known as the "Tallest Building in Chinese Universities." I could only barely capture its entirety by leaning over the lawn. I had my eye on the historic western section of Fudan University, and Mengjuan changed into another outfit I'd designed for her: a white top, a purple miniskirt, sheer stockings, and khaki shoes. This outfit is one of my favorites to photograph during my university years. Since she had other things to do, I didn't take many photos of her at Fudan, and I was also disappointed that I didn't get to have dinner with her. After saying goodbye, I saw it was still early, so I casually wandered around the campus. The trees lining the road reminded me of Luda Road, one of my favorite roads. Scenes kept replaying in my mind, scenes of me, my roommates, and friends. We chatted and took photos along the way. The setting sun cast long shadows. I lay on the lawn, reminiscing quietly. How wonderful it would be if I could return to school.

As for the #universities I missed out on in those years#, Fudan University definitely qualified the best. I remember hearing the name of this university as a child and silently considering it my ideal future school. As I progressed through middle school and high school, this childhood thought gradually faded. My senior year of high school, my score for Fudan was very low, but ultimately, it was a good school we didn't apply to.

Walking around the campus was quite pleasant. I stopped and walked casually, and came across the White House. There was a large lawn in front, so I started jumping around and taking selfies like crazy, hahahaha~~ The professors' restaurant on campus was quite delicious and affordable.

The park-like campus is in summer vacation, with few students, beautiful environment and profound cultural heritage. I want to repeat my studies and take the Fudan entrance exam after visiting.

Fudan University is even bigger than I imagined, with multiple campuses. If I had the chance, I'd really like to visit more of the different campuses; they must be quite nice.

Overall evaluation: Understated luxury with substance! I went there with my husband just before National Day in 2015. We toured his old dorm, the Twin Towers, and the School of Management. The Twin Towers were where he took his graduation photos. The campus breakfast my husband took me to was also really good, with lots of toppings for only a dozen yuan. I told him we'd come back together in a few years.

The hardware facilities are very good, the learning atmosphere is also very good, and the people are also very nice.

The campus is quite large, and the architecture and scenery are similar to other schools. Maybe I don't have a strong connection to this school because I only passed by it, or maybe it was winter when I visited, and it was so cold. It would be beautiful in the summer.
