European and American singers and bands usually open at Feidie when they come to mainland China. I saw my first concert here: the Shanghai stop of OneRepublic's OhMyMy World Tour on September 27, 2017. It was fantastic. I also saw ImagineDragons Evolve's Shanghai concert here on January 17, 2018. You absolutely have to go to a concert of a singer you really like. The live experience is a million times better than listening through headphones. There are so many people singing and shouting along with you.

After walking for a few minutes, I saw the legendary Mercedes-Benz Cultural Center. The exterior of the building is very sci-fi, like an alien spaceship parked here. At first I thought it was a big disc, but when I looked inside the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, I found that it was actually a relatively rounded triangle. It would be great to have the opportunity to watch a crosstalk performance by Deyun Club here.

By fincen |

I've watched movies and shows. But every time there's a show, the line is always jammed. Why don't they fix this?

By I don't like art, I love working overtime |

You can see the Mercedes-Benz Center as you exit the venue. I thought it was a Mercedes-Benz luxury car exhibition hall, but it turns out to be a place to watch shows.

The Mercedes-Benz Arena is located within the Shanghai World Expo Park and features an 18,000-seat main venue, as well as a music club, cinema, ice rink, restaurant, and retail areas. It's a great place to visit when there are events.

I went to watch the NBA China Games. The Mercedes-Benz Arena is probably considered one of the top venues in the country.

Located in the Shanghai World Expo Park, the Mercedes-Benz Arena features an 18,000-seat main venue, as well as a music club, cinema, ice rink, restaurants, and retail areas. As one of the most important permanent venues for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, it hosted a variety of large-scale performances and events during the Expo, meeting the Expo's demand for large-scale cultural performances. Simultaneously, the design fully considers the needs for post-Expo utilization and sustainable development, in line with Shanghai's positioning as an "international cultural metropolis." The Performing Arts Center will be built into a world-class modern performing arts venue, a cultural hub integrating comprehensive performing arts, art exhibitions, and fashion entertainment, a new landmark for Shanghai's cultural entertainment, and a new highlight for urban tourism.

By DrZou |

The Saudi Arabian Pavilion at the previous World Expo is now used as a concert venue. Its appearance is particularly domineering and looks like a flying saucer.

By Jenny |

Indoor concerts are indeed much better than outdoor venues. The stage is fantastic, and there's a cinema and dining area upstairs. Outside on the rooftop, you can walk around the venue and enjoy the river view, which is a wonderful experience. The exterior of the venue is also very cool, beautiful both day and night. You can even catch the musical fountain occasionally, which is amazing! The flying saucer design is also very eye-catching.

By YJ |

I went to the Mercedes-Benz for a concert. The architecture is quite unique. In 2014, there weren't many places to eat around here, but now it's much better.

Located in the Shanghai World Expo Park, the Mercedes-Benz Arena is a modern performing arts venue and a new landmark in Shanghai's cultural and entertainment scene. Its elegant exterior, resembling a flying saucer and a seashell, draws young people from across the country to see performances, and experiencing them rejuvenates them. At night, the dazzling lights shimmer, exuding a captivating charm.

By Bai Xubo |

When I visited the World Expo in 2010, I was shocked by its porcelain-white lighting effects at night. From the outside, it looked like a very shallow flying saucer shape, but when I went inside to watch Jacky Cheung's concert in 2011, I found that the interior was very different.

By A single leaf can tell the coming of autumn |

Very cool building, full of modern feeling, standing in the square you can feel the busy Huangpu River up close

By WR Sprachschule |

The exterior is far more important than what's inside. After entering, I didn't see anything particularly Mercedes-Benz-related. If you don't have any special events planned, I recommend just checking out the exterior.

By Jo_fly |

Karen Mok and Lala Hsu both watched it here. The venue is grand, but the cell phone signal inside is terrible. Mercedes-Benz's venue design is similar to the Hong Kong Coliseum, but it's rare to see it have four-sided seating like the Hong Kong Coliseum, which means those who buy seats on the side will be disappointed.

By An egg roll |

Hahahaha, I went in several times for concerts. I walk after dinner and run in the evening, and pass by every day.

Here are some photos of my Pu Shu's first tour in 15 years, the Shanghai stop. (I didn't bring a camera that day, so my phone pictures are terrible.)

Listening to those familiar melodies and watching this returning young man, I was deeply moved.

By His Royal Highness Wang Jiuye |

Mercedes-Benz is ideally located across from the China Art Museum. While not as dazzling as the adjacent building, its UFO-like exterior is equally eye-catching. It's a comprehensive entertainment venue, featuring a music club, an international cinema, and a restaurant on the sixth floor. At night, the sixth floor offers stunning views of the Huangpu River. Taking your partner to see a show and enjoy a meal is a truly enjoyable experience.

By Zhang Xuzhen |

It is a very majestic building. There are still many people coming in the daytime.

By Strong wind and strong liquor |

I went to Li Jian's encore. Many boys have a three-pointed star in their hearts. Now that they have grown up, they still like Mercedes-Benz.

By Black Horse |

The Mercedes-Benz Arena, with its striking flying saucer design, is a performing arts center integrating entertainment, culture, sports, and leisure. I think it's more contemporary than the China Art Museum and more in line with Shanghai's cosmopolitan style.

The Mercedes-Benz Arena, located in the Shanghai World Expo Park, is a modern performing arts venue and a new landmark in Shanghai's cultural and entertainment scene. Its refreshingly elegant architecture, resembling a flying saucer and a seashell, draws young people from across the country to see performances there, and being there can make you feel rejuvenated. It's the "big flying saucer" that occupies a large area next to the China Art Museum.

Mercedes seems to be a popular concert venue in Shanghai these days; the venue is huge. As a fan, I'm determined to see a concert there and try to get a front-row seat! Well, I'll give the remaining star once I achieve my goal!

By Xizai |

It's great to watch the sunset outside the observation deck, and you can sit down and have a cup of coffee while you warm up.

By samunited |

A very good performing arts venue, it has the potential to become the highest-level performance venue in mainland China. The surrounding facilities are very complete, the transportation is convenient, and the riverside scenery is also very good.

It would be nice to have the time and opportunity to watch your idol’s performance.

By A smile |

The elevators in the exhibition hall are so futuristic, truly a true kingdom of industrial design. Germany, the world's leading automaker, has its own museum showcasing the history of the automotive industry, with Mercedes-Benz playing a crucial role in each of its developments. I'm a complete car nerd, so I had no idea what it was all about, so I could only take a quick look. Car enthusiasts will definitely enjoy this.

By SituationJY |

For example, the Mercedes-Benz Arena has hosted concerts by international superstars like Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and Big Bang, as well as numerous domestic superstars. It also hosts the annual NBA China Games and NCAA China Games. The Mercedes-Benz Arena also boasts the largest indoor arena capacity in China (18,000 people).

This is one of the highlights of coming to Shanghai.

The ONE OK ROCK concert is shaped like a flying saucer, taking on different forms depending on the angle and space. During the day, it feels like a "flying shuttle" or a "shell in the sea of art," while at night it becomes dreamy and mysterious, like a "floating city."

I was really attracted by this shape from a distance.

It must be one of the landmarks of Shanghai.

Line 8, China Art Museum.

If there's a concert going on, there will be stalls selling light sticks and other related products as soon as you get out of the subway. You can also go to the Expo Axis nearby to eat and walk around.

I've set up a stall here before, but it was a bit of a failure. I sat there for an hour and then left. It was during the BIGBANG fan meeting that I didn't get a ticket for. T_T

I worked part-time here, as a kid checking tickets and scanning QR codes at the entrance. (Although I wasn't a kid. I just ended up there for no apparent reason.)

Gate E is for the second-tier stands, and Gate B is for the fifth-tier stands. When you go in, make sure to check your ticket carefully, as it's written on it.

I also watched a concert here

July 9, 2016, Li Ronghao. (I've only heard a few of his more popular songs, and I listened to them silently the whole time.)

After the concert, we walked to Changli Road for a late-night snack. So happy.

There is a rooftop with a view of the Expo Park. It might be more beautiful at night.

I like the alternative and creative architectural style, so I went to the fourth floor to watch a movie; not many people, the hall is large, and it was comfortable to watch!

By Blurred eyes |

Many concerts are held here. The buildings next to it are also beautiful, and there are also places to go shopping.

I watched Andy Lau's concert here. In addition to the concert venue, there are many entertainment facilities, such as ice skating.

By Sarah |

It just so happens that the company is holding a meeting here, and the venue is very big

By Shuishui |

There is the Expo Cinema above, which is my favorite cinema. I walk all the way from the Expo Source, which is warm in winter and cool in summer. At night, I can see the beautiful night view on the first floor of the cinema. I also watched a concert there once, and the sound effect was so good.

By ranniefish |

I went to see Mr. Huang's Mercedes at the beginning of last year. This place is awesome! Even if you buy a grandstand ticket, it's not too bad. There are a lot of foreigners in the venue, and the atmosphere is great.

By Long Day's Mask |

The main purpose of going to Mercedes is to watch a concert. There is a cinema and restaurant on the rooftop, and you can also go to the top outer circle to enjoy the night view.

It was built during the 2010 Shanghai World Expo and is very beautiful when the lights are turned on at night.

By An's Farewell |

Since the Mercedes-Benz was built, most concerts have been held here. It's close to the Expo Axis, and its spaceship-like shape is very eye-catching. It's especially beautiful at night when it's brightly lit. It's worth a visit. There are also many restaurants and shops along the Expo Axis. It's also very convenient to get there directly by subway.

Mercedes has a dedicated entrance, and numbered gates and exits throughout the venue make it easy to find your nearest seat. The venue is well-designed, offering a 360-degree view, so even the last row is comfortable. The screens and sound quality are absolutely excellent.

By Contentment is the key to happiness. |

I remember the first time I went to the World Expo, I was deeply attracted by the Mercedes-Benz Pavilion. A few years later, the company held a half-year meeting here, which was very meaningful. Later, when I came to Shanghai for work, I specifically looked for a house to live near here. Now there is a World Expo Park nearby, which is a large shopping mall. In short, it is worth going.

The Mercedes-Benz Cultural Center is located at No. 1200, Expo Avenue, Pudong New Area, Shanghai. It was once the main venue for the World Expo. Various variety shows and celebrations were held here. In addition, it can also host large-scale events such as concerts, basketball games, ice hockey games, etc. The building has unique design features and its overall appearance is particularly like an alien flying saucer. Its built-in capacity ranks first in the country, and it is also China's first standard basketball stadium for the NBA China Games.

By Sweet Little Han |

The permanent venue of the World Expo can be said to be the most popular concert venue in Shanghai. It has a unique appearance, like a flying saucer. In addition to hosting concerts, some powerful companies will hold their annual meetings at the end of the year here. The venue is great and the lighting effects are also very good.

The Performing Arts Center boasts a unique design and offers everything from dining and entertainment to entertainment. The large plaza in front is also unique, covered in water, allowing for walking and reflecting the surrounding buildings and vibrant lights like a mirror. At the end, by the river, there's a breathtaking musical fountain! The plaza is also connected to the Expo Axis, where you'll find a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, a gym, and more. The only problem is that parking is very limited.

In the past, I watched Wu Bai’s concerts. Yes, you read that right, my taste is that heavy!!!

The venue is not big, and big names definitely won’t come here. With so few seats, they’ll probably lose money, haha!

The Mercedes-Benz Arena (Expo Cultural Center) is located in the Shanghai World Expo Park and is one of the permanent venues of the 2010 World Expo. It has an 18,000-seat main venue, as well as a music club, cinema, ice skating rink, restaurants, and retail areas.

Specific address: No. 1200, Shibo Avenue, Pudong New Area, Shanghai.

Transportation: Take Metro Line 8 to China Art Museum Station. Alternatively, take Line 7 and transfer to Line 8 at Yaohua Road Station to get off at China Art Museum Station. For other public transportation options, please use your mobile navigation.

Architectural Design: The flying saucer-shaped building is avant-garde and fashionable, symbolizing a forward-looking, high-spirited and ambitious spirit, signifying a great era and a beautiful vision of the future. The large expanse of space plays a decisive role in the site's control and the building's inherent majesty. Numerous entrances disperse the flow of people, playing a key role in ensuring smooth ticket checking. The venue's large interior space is suitable for hosting a variety of large-scale events.

Tip: I attended a lecture by architect Tadao Ando at the Mercedes-Benz Arena. The venue was beautifully decorated, with a well-organized seating arrangement. It was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend visiting if you're planning to visit a permanent Expo venue.

By meimeitou |

The first time I came here was by chance. I was on a business trip to Shanghai to see the exhibition venue and accidentally saw this modern building. Curiosity led me to visit it. At that time, I felt that the facilities were relatively modern but there were not many people. I could see the scenery of the World Expo Hall in the distance from the viewing balcony. The second time I came here was to listen to a concert. The bustling scene was completely different from the previous time. The venue looked even better with the lights on. The interior of the venue was spacious and clean, but I have to say that the sound reception was very average. However, I still had a lot of fun.

The building is very modern and the sound system in the venue is amazing. The first time I went there was for a concert. The seats in the stands were not too hot and the air conditioning was sufficient.

By Power-only doctrine |

The ticket system announces all the different entrances. It's huge, and watching the concert was truly enjoyable. The best seats are in the front row of the inner arena and the first row of the side stands, where there's a lot of interaction. However, be aware that the subway closes early, so be mindful if you're planning to take the subway home at night. Also, getting a taxi is incredibly difficult. My sister, her friend, and I walked two streets and hailed four or five taxis before finally finding a kind taxi driver. We were able to get a ride home on the meter, which was incredibly lucky. Also, avoid scalpers; they're incredibly rife. The seats are also not ideal, and the tickets are incredibly expensive.

By oMuri no Fengchen |

The indoor concert was a bit small, but that made it easier to see. You couldn't bring food or drinks, but the food and drinks inside were quite expensive.

By Thirteen Too Full |

Thanks to Ctrip, I won free tickets to the Ice Age on Ice show, allowing me to attend the Mercedes-Benz Arena for the first time. The last time I went, it was still just the cultural center within the Expo's first axis, Pavilion 4. You're not allowed to bring any food, solid or liquid, into the Mercedes-Benz Arena for the show. However, the security checks in the stands weren't very strict...more accurately, they didn't check bags very carefully; they just glanced through them and let you in. So, even if you had some food hidden inside, they wouldn't know. However, the inspection was very strict; you had to touch your clothes before you could pass (the security officer was a man). It was even stricter than airport security, which was a bit unsettling. After security, there was an elevator all the way...there were restrooms and a convenience store inside, even Wall's...and the prices were very good. A bottle of mineral water cost 10 yuan, which felt a bit like taking advantage of the situation. Still, the show was a good experience, much more pleasant than attending a concert at a stadium.

1. Location: The Mercedes-Benz Arena is located at 1200 Shibo Avenue, Pudong New Area, Shanghai. You can take Metro Line 8 and exit at the China Art Museum station, exiting at Exit 4. 2. Overall Review: The Mercedes-Benz is shaped like a flying saucer, and the changing colors of the lights at night are truly stunning. Originally one of the venues for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, it's now a leisure center, often a popular spot for celebrity concerts. It opens at 10 a.m. and connects to the Expo Park, offering everything from shopping and dining options to panoramic views of the Expo Park. There's also an ice rink, a cinema, and more. I last saw a Mayday concert in 2013, and the visuals were fantastic. I miss it so much.
