滨江森林公园

Riverside Forest Park is located at the northernmost end of Pudong New Area, facing Paotai Hill across the Huangpu River and across the Yangtze River from Hengsha Ecological Island, Chongming Dongtan Bird Reserve, and Jiuduansha Wetland Reserve. It is the suburban forest park with the highest forest coverage in Shanghai.
In early summer, hydrangeas are distributed in different places in the park. There are flower paths covered with hydrangeas. Sitting on the benches on the flower paths will give you a wonderful feeling of midsummer. It is also a good place for taking photos.

At the corner of Waigaoqiao, where the Yangtze River meets the sea. A large park was built later. If you take Line 6 to the end, there is a shuttle bus that can take you there.

By Snow Crystal |

I will go there every spring. The air is very good, it feels like a forest, and you can enjoy the breeze by the river.

By How old is the boy |

I went there on the afternoon of the second day of Qingming Festival. The weather was good and there were many people. There was nothing very special about it except watching the Yangtze River flow into the sea. But after all, it was spring and the flowers were still nice.

Disadvantages: relatively remote, serious littering

By silver |

I went there two or three years ago. It was just a big green park, nothing special. It was just average.

By Great Magician SS |

At the mouth of the Huangpu River, opposite is Baoshan's Paotaishan Park, where the grass is lush and the birds are singing and the flowers are fragrant.

By Arctic wolf |

The park is quite large and you can rent a bicycle. It takes 1 to 1.5 hours to circle the outer circle. In autumn, the park is rich in colors and has a layered feel. Going to the riverside, you can see the busy Huangpu River estuary, which is also the confluence point where the Huangpu River flows into the Yangtze River.

By Big Bad Wolf |

The new park on the Yangtze River in Pudong, Shanghai is very large and is located at the mouth of the river.

By Spring Sunshine |

Near the estuary of the Huangpu River, there are many kinds of flowers, plants and trees, and the park is also quite large.

By Zero point memory |

A large forest park with many trees, next to the Yangtze River

By Jenny |

The park is a bit far, but accessible by car. It's divided into flower and tree areas by species. The azalea plantings here are the largest in Shanghai, and include rare alpine azaleas. The eastern tree area houses the largest orange orchard outside of the Chongming Islands. From the riverside embankment, you can admire the spectacular confluence of the Huangpu River, the Yangtze River, and the East China Sea. There are pristine vegetation areas, interspersed with wooden steps, and preserved pavilions and riverside shorelines. There are also numerous children's playgrounds and a dedicated barbecue area, perfect for families.

By Peach blossoms in full bloom |

Binjiang Forest Park is located in Lingqiao, about 15 kilometers past Yangpu Bridge.

By Admiration |

Hahaha there are so many trees, and most importantly it's close to home hahaha

By Orient |

It's very good. I haven't seen many plants before. The smell of the primeval forest is very strong. I will go there to relax in the future. There are not many people and it is quiet. I like this kind of environment. There are not many such environments close to nature in Shanghai.

By julius105 |

It's just an ordinary park, I don't remember what special features it has.

By Grand debut |

It's too far. You have to change to Waigaoqiao Line 1 to get to Gangcheng Road on Line 6. I didn't contact the bus system due to the expected high passenger flow in the park, but fortunately the bus system responded in a timely manner.

Senior citizen tickets are 20% off, not half price.

The visitor service center is located inside the park and should have services such as borrowing wheelchairs and umbrellas, but there was only a security guard who dozed off early in the morning and no staff. There was an introduction to the park on the shelf and a map inside, but the map was not detailed and very general.

Personally, I think the park is not worth visiting other times except when the azaleas are in bloom. I came in March and the park’s main attraction is the February orchid. The most lush patch was lent to someone else for filming. They had a shed, and if you wanted to take a picture of a flower, someone would stop you. I didn’t take a picture of your “star”! There are many trees, but the selection of trees is also problematic. Except for the magnolias and white magnolias that have bloomed, there were too many bare trees in March. The same riverside scenery is much better than the Paotaiwan Wetland Park across the street. The orchard is closed, and the sign at the door says that climbing over the wall and stealing fruit will result in a fine of 200-2000 yuan:(

The second floor of the casual restaurant serves noodles, rice bowls, and à la carte dishes. The cleanliness is poor, with a thick layer of dust on the tables, chairs, and benches! The food is incredibly slow to arrive; if you're hungry, going to the window to get your food is a bit faster. There's only one person cooking, one serving side dishes, one waiter, and one cashier, so service is essentially self-service. Three dishes and a bowl of rice cost 85 yuan. The dishes are all served in small plates. The minced meat and vermicelli casserole was 25 yuan; the vermicelli was good, but the flavor was average, and the minced meat was overcooked. The garlic lettuce was 20 yuan, but the portion was too small and I didn't see any garlic. The oyster sauce beef was 38 yuan, and it was just average. The tender meat was fished out of the vermicelli, but it was tender without bones!

Gaoqiao's specialty snacks are actually visible along the main park road, but since we quickly turned off the road after entering, we didn't see them until quite late. I really wanted to try the glutinous rice balls there! However, we had already eaten at the restaurant and were hungry, so I bought four Gaoqiao pancakes, two fruit pancakes, and two red bean paste pancakes, which are essentially small Suzhou-style mooncakes.

There are so many illegal taxis at the park entrance, it is very chaotic and no one is in charge!

By susanchu |

There's a free shuttle bus from the Shuichan Road Light Rail Station, which is very convenient. Compared to the free Pao Taiwan, Binjiang Forest Park is much larger, and the paths within are pleasant to stroll. You can see the Yangtze River from the levee, and compared to Pao Taiwan, there are fewer people catching crabs. I tried the Gaoqiao grass cake, which was decent.

By ~Leaf 🍃Bodhi |

The air is fresh and the forests are growing taller and denser.

By ice |

The newly opened park is not crowded. The hardware facilities are relatively complete. There is no place to sell food in the park, so you need to bring your own food. There are not many staff members. If you get lost (because it is too big), you can only return the same way.

The area is large and has different themed areas. It would be better if you could rent bicycles.

The location is relatively remote and transportation is inconvenient.

By Heart Valley |

It's a great place for a family outing. The air is fresh, the environment is nice, and there aren't too many people. However, the location is a bit remote, so those in Puxi should choose the right time.

By Wenwen |

Shanghai Riverside Forest Park is located in the northwest corner of Pudong New Area, bordered by the Yangtze River to the west and the Huangpu River to the east. Standing along the park's 2-kilometer-long riverfront, you can gaze across the river at Wusong Fort Wetland Park.

The park is quite large. It is said that more than 100 hectares are now open to the public. The most important thing is that a considerable part of it retains the original forest that has been naturally formed since the 1950s. This is unique in Shanghai (it is said that Gongqing Forest Park and Shanghai Botanical Garden are both artificial).

How can one not yearn for dense forests, fresh air, and flowers everywhere?

By stevelukemm |

Let's talk about the cost first: 20 yuan for the entrance fee, and 15 yuan for two and a half hours of parking. That was the total cost. It's very cost-effective, and it's a great place to relax. Going there on a Friday afternoon was pretty deserted, and I spent most of the time by myself surrounded by trees. Walking along the river and watching the cargo and cruise ships pass by is a rare experience. There's also a large lawn, and the abundance of greenery is a rare treat for those of us who have lived in the city for years.

As for the fun, I don't think it's a good value. The park itself isn't very large, so the bikes aren't really that useful. I wasn't really interested in the barbecues, and the playground is mainly for kids. The orchard seems to be open only in the fall for fruit picking. So, the main experience is probably just the trees and the water. Simple and straightforward.

A few things to keep in mind. First, it's best to wear sunscreen. UV rays are incredibly strong near the river. The exposure is two stops higher, meaning you're getting three to four times more sunlight than in the city. In the summer, this is no joke. Second, if you're like me and plan to go to the river or spend a lot of time in the park, remember to bring plenty of drinks, especially electrolytes. Mineral water isn't enough. You'll be sweating a lot. Third, there are a lot of mosquitoes in the woods, so bring some mosquito repellent.

I will go again if I have the chance.

By Mount Kailash |

The vegetation coverage rate is very high, and it is very good for walking and barbecue, but the transportation is inconvenient

By Crystal Bunny |

It is quite remote, there is not even a place to buy things outside, there are not many people, the park is full of trees, close to the Yangtze River, and there doesn't seem to be anything special.

By Wisdom |

It's very close to home. It takes 15 minutes to ride there. The ticket is 10 yuan. My mother said that if you go before 7 o'clock in the morning, it's free.

The scenery is very nice. It is a relatively large park. Sometimes you can see people taking wedding photos.

By Victory |

I highly recommend this private museum. The collection is quite impressive.

By lynn |

It's not suitable for children, but it's a good place for an outing. The scenery is great and the air is fresh.

By Peko sauce peach |

I've taken students here for autumn outings before. It's huge, with opportunities to pick oranges and various activities. A while ago, a group of friends and I went there for a barbecue, which was quite fun. You can take an electric cart to the barbecue area and bring your own food, which is healthier. Afterward, you can picnic on the grass, set up a tent, and sit on the ground. It's very comfortable. It's a bit far from the city, but I'd like to visit more often if I have the chance. After all, the area is large and not overcrowded.

By Big Cow |

It's near Wusongkou, where it's nice to go barbecue and go outing with friends.

By wanwan23 |

My baby loves to go to the park. There is no rail transit, so I choose to drive. The park is big enough and close to the river.

By Swim slowly and walk slowly |

Binjiang Forest Park is located in Gaoqiao Town, Pudong. The park is like a small forest. There are attractions like tour buses, bicycles, bumper cars, a water walking ball, and a pirate ship. It's not crowded, so it's a great place to relax and have some fun.

By Mm115 |

It's quite big, but the children's playground is a bit old, not many things to play, and barbecue is not free.

By Northeast King Dalong |

The barbecue was great, there were a lot of people, and the scenery was nice, great!

By Charlotte |

Located in the Jinqiao area of Pudong, the subway cannot be directly reached and the transportation is not very convenient

By Most-Beginning |

This season is great for birdsong and flowers, and the pure colors are beautiful. However, the road there is not easy to drive on and you have to go around a lot. Although the view of the Huangpu River is average, it is still nice to breathe in the fresh air.

By sunshine63 world |

The park is quite large and suitable for taking a walk and breathing fresh air.

By Please call me Brother Xun |

Very good, the environment is beautiful, suitable for spring outing to relax

By Eternal Stars |

It's a good place to relax on weekends. There aren't many people there for the time being. It's very pleasant to enjoy the breeze and the scenery by the river. It's much better than the crowded Bund.

By Fish Flower |

Located in the Lingqiao area of Pudong, it covers a large area and faces the Huangpu River, the Yangtze River, and the East China Sea. It faces Linjiang Park in Baoshan, Puxi, across the river. In autumn, there are activities such as orange picking, and the park is very green...

By Celia_Ge |

Originally a nursery, the park was renovated and transformed into the present-day Riverside Forest Park. As a result, the park boasts a high green coverage rate, mature trees, and impressive tree-lined avenues. The main road ends at the Yangtze River estuary, where a wooden boardwalk has been constructed, making for a pleasant stroll. The park is large enough to enjoy a full day, with admission costing 20 yuan. It hosts two flower shows annually: a spring azalea show and an autumn flower show. There are also activities such as pet day, charity runs, sunflower seed and orange picking, and photography competitions. The park also has a clean barbecue area with dedicated grills, and staff promptly refill the grills. There's also a small, child-friendly play area with limited rides. There's also a live-action CS experience area.

The park is located at the northernmost tip of Pudong New Area, across the river from Wusong Paotaiwan Forest Park. Due to its remote location, access is difficult, so many people choose to drive. The only public transportation available is the Waigaoqiao Bus No. 1, which runs from and to Gangcheng Road Metro Station. It runs approximately once an hour, and only during the azalea exhibition does a shuttle bus run between Gangcheng Road Station (Line 6) and Shuichan Road Station (Line 3). There are few shops and restaurants within the park, making it difficult to buy water or eat. While the park is sparsely populated on weekdays, it can be crowded on weekends, holidays, and during flower exhibitions.

Riverside Forest Park, located at the northernmost tip of Pudong New Area, faces Paotai Hill across the Huangpu River and overlooks Hengsha Ecological Island, Chongming Dongtan Bird Sanctuary, and Jiuduansha Wetland Reserve across the Yangtze River. It boasts the highest forest coverage among suburban forest parks in Shanghai. Preserving the pristine habitats of native plants and animals, it offers a perfect setting for leisure and enjoyment. Officially opening on March 28, 2007, the park features a variety of natural attractions, including a wetland plant garden, an ecological forest reserve, a riverside viewing area, a rose garden, a magnolia garden, a rhododendron garden, and an orchard. Other attractions include sightseeing buses, electric boats, a water walking ball, leisure bikes, bumper cars, and a pirate ship.

It is a very beautiful forest park. Very good.

By leo_lwy |

I went there on the weekend and saw many parents bringing their children to play in the park. The park is quite large, with both a tranquil lake and a vast grassland. It was very comfortable to walk along the river, feel the sea breeze and watch the big ships coming and going.

By Dreamer Kevin |

I remember when I went there, it was just one word: far....This kind of forest park is similar

By Banana |

People usually come to this park to have barbecues. As soon as you enter the park, you have to borrow the outdoor barbecue stoves. The shaded spots will be taken up very early. It is close to the Yangtze River estuary, so you can get close to the river and feel the river breeze and the river view. It is very comfortable!

By Snow Demon |

The scenery is great and there are many places to play. It is suitable for weekend outings.

By Jackie Chen |

The area is very large and there are still many plants inside. On the day I went there, primary school students were on an outing here, and there were also many newlyweds taking wedding photos.

By qxymm |

The scenery is very nice. Many parents bring their children to fly kites, ride bicycles, etc. The only drawback is the inconvenient transportation.

By rim-8 |

I went there a few years ago. It's quite far from the city and the transportation was not very convenient at that time. There are not many people in the park, and the flowers and plants are nice for leisure.

By Chen Feiyang |

The air in this forest park is very fresh and the plants are lush. It feels great to walk around.

By Ni Xiaozhi. |

The forest park is quite large, and the scenery is particularly great. I highly recommend it, mainly because the transportation is very convenient.

By It was a coincidence that I met Li |

The park has a nice environment, with lots of vegetation and good air. It is relatively quiet with few people. It is a good spot.

By Rendering |

The environment of Binjiang Forest Park is very good. The transportation is not very convenient and the density of green plants is high.

By Fei Bo & Mi Xiu |

It is the nearest forest park near my home, and the environment is pretty good.

By Dylan |

Very nice forest park, right by the river, the environment is great~

By Duoduo |

It is far away from the city and suitable for self-driving. The parking fee is not expensive, capped at 20 yuan, and the entrance fee is also 20 yuan. The entire park is very large and very quiet. There are basically no people along the way, but the barbecue area here is very popular. The stove can be rented on site, and you can bring your own ingredients or rent them on site. It is suitable for an outing for the whole family or the company.

By Thirteen Too Full |

If the flower show isn't taking place, getting to Binjiang Forest Park is inconvenient and requires a car. However, during a flower show, it's much more convenient, with dedicated buses running directly to some subway stations. Tickets to Binjiang Forest Park are very affordable, only 20 yuan, making it a truly exceptional value. Among Shanghai's forest parks, Binjiang is one of the best, even better than Chenshan, despite the presence of a man-made mine. Binjiang offers barbecue facilities and bicycle rentals, making it perfect for weekend family gatherings. A key reason to enjoy Binjiang Forest Park is its proximity to the river. Strolling along the unique riverside avenue and enjoying the river breeze is a wonderful way to relax.

I still remember that year, someone went back to Shanghai. I skipped work, took a little blue notebook, and went to Binjiang Forest Park for free. Cycling around, round and round, watching our silhouettes, lying on the grass with your head resting on my belly was so sweet, wasn't it? Let's continue to create more beautiful memories~

By Rabbit |

The environment is good, the air is fresh, and you can personally visit the Yangtze River and experience its vastness, even though the water is very yellow.

You can ride a bicycle and barbecue here, which is suitable for the whole family to play. The only inconvenience is that its location is too remote.

By lushrene |

The company once organized a barbecue at Binjiang Forest Park. The environment was amazing! I thought the outdoor barbecue area facilities were pretty good back then, but now I just camp on the lawn when I go there 😂

By Waiting for the flowers to bloom |

The road is long, but the park is nice. Our project organized a barbecue here and it was fun.

By WinnerJiang |

Behind the school, there was a group picnic, there were relatively few people, and the overall environment was good

By Mike |

The road is quite long, making it suitable for self-driving. It's not crowded, but it's well-maintained, with a riverside location, barbecue facilities, an orchard, and a children's playground. There are many quiet paths, which are very charming and worth a visit.

By fh |

Also known as Shanghai Riverside Forest Park, it was created from a wetland at the mouth of the Yangtze River in Shanghai. It's a bit far from the city center, but worth a visit.

By Lilian |

Most tourists see Pudong from the Bund, but Binjiang Park is a unique way to see the Bund from Pudong.

By Tony |

I went there twice this year, the most recent time was to pick oranges. The park is located right where the Huangpu River flows into the Yangtze River, so you can see the Yangtze River. It's a big park, but unfortunately there are only two places to eat inside, so you don't have much choice. It's a remote place, so it's not convenient to go out for dinner.

By Elyon Lou |

This is my favorite park in Shanghai, bar none. Due to limited access, most visitors drive by, scattered throughout the park in small groups, minimizing the bustle and bustle. One year, during my free time, I dreamed of heading there—finding a quiet lakeside spot, pitching a tent, listening to the birdsong and the chirping of cicadas, and enjoying a relaxing afternoon. The park boasts seasonal blossoms, a true flower lover's delight. The meticulously crafted landscape reveals a wealth of attention. The park also boasts a riverside shoreline, where you can gaze at the river's scenery from a leisurely stroll, feeling the river breeze, and simply let time slip away, leaving behind a sense of tranquility.

By Mo Rui |

This park built at the mouth of the Yangtze River is really the best park in Shanghai. It is very big and not crowded. I even saw a sika deer once.

By Chen Feng |

In Pudong, the transportation is not very convenient, the scenery is pretty good, the ticket is not expensive, 22 yuan per person

By Durian Bee |

It was great, you could see the sea, but it was a yellowish color, the air was fresh, and the sky was full of kites.

By Xiyan |

The place is very big and not crowded. You can see Baoshan by the river. I like it very much. There are flowers and a delicate stream and small garden.

By Koko |

I went to pick oranges when they were ripe. They tasted pretty good. The scenery inside is also very beautiful. It's really nice to come and wander around when you have nothing to do.

By gigi cloud |

The street organizes youth league activities there. It has just opened a short time ago, so there are not many people. It is next to the Huangpu River, so it is a good place for parent-child activities.

Shanghai Binjiang Forest Park, located in Gaoqiao Town, Pudong District, Shanghai, is a new park that opened for trial operation in 2006. It's large and offers a wide variety of attractions, including wetlands, hills, and azalea forests. I went during the trial operation, and the entrance fee was 10 yuan. Due to the distance, I haven't been back. I took Subway Line 1, getting off at Shuichan Road, and then took a 20-yuan taxi through the Outer Ring Tunnel. It's not recommended for out-of-town visitors.

By Pepe |

The scenery is only beautiful when you enter the door, and the greenery behind it begins to become gray.

We spent more than 3 hours in the park, but we had to leave after more than 2 hours because there was nothing to do.

It really can't be compared with the scenery of Yangzhou's Slender West Lake that I visited before, and I feel it can't be compared with Century Park.

By Years are like songs |

It's quite large, but not very accessible without a car. The scenery is nice, and it's perfect for a family getaway. They have barbecue options and also have wonton noodles for filling.
