Century Park is the largest natural ecological park in Shanghai. It is divided into rural gardens, lakeside areas, bird sanctuaries, and exotic gardens.
Jingtian Lake in the park is the largest artificial lake in Shanghai, with a diameter of about 300 meters. The park provides fishing and boating services on the lakeside.
The "Plum Blossom and Wintersweet Exhibition" in Century Park is held in January every year. It covers nearly 50,000 square meters of wintersweet trees and has more than 100 ancient plum and wintersweet trees.
The Shanghai International Music Fireworks Festival is held every October and November, and top fireworks designers from different countries are invited to perform.

It's quite close to home, perfect for a weekend stroll~ The park is big and the environment is great 😊
It's a fairly unremarkable large park in Pudong, with an 8 yuan entrance fee. It's primarily a space to create a new dimension in the densely populated Pudong area, but it does offer some benefits, including a pleasant environment. It's a great place for locals to stroll, and I've seen quite a few people jogging around the park.
Century Park is beautiful in autumn with a variety of colors. The plum blossoms in winter are also nice.
The transportation is convenient, and the scenery is the most beautiful in spring, with all kinds of flowers blooming.
The green lungs of the city center are smaller plants, suitable for morning exercise and jogging.
In early November, the lawn was fenced off for maintenance. There is a small area near the lake where you can set up your tent. It's a great place to relax on the weekends.
There are many people resting and exercising in the Shanghai Century Park area. You can come and see it on weekends.
Century Park, located in the Huamu Administrative and Cultural Center in Pudong New District, Shanghai, is the largest ecological urban park with rich natural features within the heart of Shanghai's inner ring road. Ideal for the general public, the park, like a green emerald inlaid at the end of the magnificent Century Avenue, embodies the noble themes of "humanity, nature, and harmony." The park's master plan, designed by the British firm LUC, embodies the fusion of Chinese and Western cultures, and of man and nature. The total investment in the park's construction was 1 billion RMB. The park, primarily composed of large lawns, forests, and lakes, comprises seven scenic areas: the Rural Pastoral Area, the Observation Area, the Lakeside Area, the Sparse Woods and Lawns Area, the Bird Sanctuary, the Exotic Area, and the Mini Golf Course Area. It also boasts 53 attractions, including the Century Flower Clock, Mirror Lake, the Grand Fountain, the Green World Relief, the Musical Fountain, the Music Square, the Yuan Pond, the Bird Island, the Olmega Head, and the Montreal Garden.
Century Park, formerly known as Pudong Central Park, is one of the largest parks in Pudong, covering 140.3 hectares. It is located southeast of the Pudong Huamu Administrative District (the new district's office center). As Shanghai's largest ecological urban park rich in natural features, Century Park embodies the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures, the integration of man and nature, and the modern Chinese garden style.
The park boasts beautiful scenery, and a stroll through it feels incredibly relaxing. Elderly people strolled, children played with soap bubbles, families picnicked on the grass, and others cruised and cycled. Located in Pudong New Area, Century Park is the largest urban ecological park in downtown Shanghai. Composed primarily of vast lawns, forests, and lakes, it embodies a fusion of Eastern and Western garden art and nature. It is divided into seven zones: lakeside, viewing area, open forest and lawn, bird sanctuary, native pastoral area, exotic garden, and miniature golf course.
Every March, Shanghai Century Park holds a plum blossom festival. This time, on March 11th, I went for a stroll and took a few photos. Transportation: Metro Line 2, Century Park Station Exit is very convenient.
Shanghai Century Park is quite large, covering approximately 150 hectares. It has seven entrances and exits, with the main entrance being Gate 1, accessible from the Science and Technology Museum Station on Metro Line 2. Admission is a reasonable ¥20,000 (approximately ¥300 USD), with free admission for those over 65 and half-price for students. The park's symbol, the Century Flower Clock, features vibrant colors that change with the seasons. Jingtian Lake within the park is an artificial lake. The 15-hectare artificial beach is a delight for children, and rockery and rocks adorning the lakeside provide a pleasant backdrop for photography. Century Park's flower arrangements and main tour routes are very user-friendly. After entering through Gate 1, turn right along the lakeside scenic path and walk around Jingtian Lake. Peach blossoms in the peach garden area are in full bloom, red-leaf plum, red-leaf plum, red-leaf plum, red-bud blossoms, red-bud blossoms, purple magnolia, purple magnolia, purple magnolia, Tokyo cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and it is the right time to enjoy the flowers. There is Cherry Blossom Island in Century Park; large areas of cherry blossoms form a forest, and the landscape design is very ornamental... Rapeseed flowers in the rural field area, rapeseed fields, rapeseed flowers are in full bloom, Jingtian Lake in Chunxiao, a corner of Cherry Blossom Island, I am watching the scenery on the bridge... I use this sentence to end my flower viewing tour in Century Park.
The plum blossoms at Haishiji Park are in full bloom! They're attracting a large number of visitors, and those who enjoy plum blossom viewing and photography look forward to the blossoms' full bloom every year. In early spring, February, outings are all the rage, and the park is packed with visitors on weekends, many of them foreigners. Admiring the greenery and red flowers, listening to birdsong, smelling the fragrance of flowers, chatting and singing, it's truly a delightful experience. The graceful blossoms also attract crowds of admirers, including many photography enthusiasts, some strolling and exploring, others searching for the most stunning shots.
It's quite big. When we went there on March 2, the plum blossoms were almost gone, but there are still some.
The plum blossoms at Haishiji Park are vibrant, and the trees, covered with small red lanterns, add a festive touch to the New Year atmosphere. The good thing about the Lunar New Year is that the weather on the second day of the Lunar New Year was exceptionally good, so the photos were relatively clear. Last time, on a weekend, there was a slight haze in the sky, making the images somewhat dim. This year's Plum Blossom Avenue is in full bloom, with the majority of white plums and green-calyxed flowers. Many visitors commented that it resembled a cherry blossom forest. Indeed, there's a similarity.
Shanghai Century Park holds its annual plum blossom exhibition, and I go almost every year because it's close to home. Ever since I got a phone, I've rarely brought my DSLR. After all, I'm not a photographer, so I prefer to snap pictures of beautiful scenery with my phone. It's simple. On the second day of the Lunar New Year, the weather was beautiful. Big red lanterns hung high on the branches, and the festive atmosphere was strong. The plum blossoms were in full bloom, their delicate fragrance filling the air. It was a relaxing moment to rest in the warm sun.
If the sun is shining, it will be nice to take pictures.
The place is large and the environment is good, especially suitable for family outings. But there are too many people.
Most of Shanghai's worthwhile attractions are located in Puxi, and Century Park is a particularly worthwhile park in Pudong. Located at the end of Century Avenue in Pudong, Century Park covers approximately 140 hectares. From within the park, you can see several of Lujiazui's landmarks, including the tallest building currently under construction, the Shanghai Tower. Composed of extensive lawns, forests, and lakes, the park embodies the fusion of Eastern and Western garden art and the interplay of man and nature. The park boasts a crisscrossing landscape of paths, rolling hills, evergreen trees, a clear lake, and winding streams. Access is very convenient. If you're not driving, take Metro Line 2 and get off at either the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum or Century Park stations. I got off at Century Park, entered from the Haitong Road entrance, and then took a leisurely counterclockwise walk around the park. The park is quite large, with numerous sycamore trees lining the central Jingtian Lake. Golden ginkgo trees nestle among the trees, reeds swaying in the wind beside a dry pond, and a tree-lined avenue shaded by sycamore trees, stretching for several kilometers along a golden ginkgo avenue. I felt completely immersed in the beautiful autumn scenery. Since it was a Monday afternoon, the park was exceptionally empty. Aside from students on school outings and elderly people exercising nearby, it seemed like there weren't many people as relaxed as I was. It's hard to describe these beautiful moments. As I finally emerged from Century Avenue, my heart was still overflowing with emotion for nature's gifts. I felt a mixture of excitement, exhilaration, satisfaction, and joy. I believe that ultimately, human happiness lies in returning to nature. The development of technology and civilization has, in fact, isolated us from nature. Perhaps this is why city dwellers crave travel and freedom. I love Shanghai's autumn scenery!
A great place to enjoy plum blossoms in February. Tickets are not expensive. The park is large and has many varieties of plum blossoms. Bonsai is a major feature.
Shanghai Century Park, located on Jinxiu Road, is a large park with seven gates. It's easily accessible via Metro Line 2, via Century Park Station or the Science and Technology Museum Station. I bought group tickets and scanned a QR code to enter, which was much more convenient than waiting in line. The air in the park was fresh, and the birds chirped and the flowers bloomed. Basking in the sun, eating the delicious food I'd bought, and inhaling the fragrance of the flowers and plants, I felt completely refreshed.
Century Park is a nice place, a great place for weekend fun.
Century Park is Shanghai's largest ecological urban park, rich in natural features. It embodies the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures, the integration of man and nature, and features a modern Chinese garden style. Within the park, trees and shrubs intertwine, flowers bloom seasonally, lakes ripple, streams meander, bamboo shadows dapple, and lush vegetation flourish. It is an oasis in the metropolis, a tranquil haven amidst the bustle, and a delightful setting for leisure and vacation. The sparse woodland and lawn area is divided into four zones: spring, summer, autumn, and winter, each displaying the vibrant colors of its respective season's representative flowers.
The flowers here are really beautiful. It's quiet and clean in a bustling place.
Century Park is the largest ecological urban park rich in natural features within the heart of Shanghai's inner ring road. It boasts 860,000 square meters of green space, 270,000 square meters of water, and 16 kilometers of paths. It is one of Shanghai's most beloved parks. The park features a pastoral area, a viewing area, a lakeside area, sparse woodland and lawns, a bird sanctuary, an exotic garden, and a miniature golf course.
It's probably very rare to find a piece of land for green space and parks in Shanghai, so this kind of public service facility has to be charged. The scenery is okay with the huge crowds, but it's not particularly spectacular.
It's a big park with a 10 yuan ticket price. It's a great place to take your kids to fly kites and set up tents on weekends. By the way, there's a large forest where you can apply to adopt trees.
Riverside Park is less crowded than the Bund and more suitable for strolling. If you have time in the evening, you can go to the bar next to the park and sit for a while. The uncle singing there, who is not sure whether he is from the Philippines or Malaysia, is very cute. Every time you take a photo of him, he will smile at you with the scissors hand.
It's a big park with regular events. You can go there if you have nothing to do.
The Shanghai Science and Technology Museum is adjacent to the Shanghai Science and Technology Park. If you're visiting Shanghai and passing through Pudong, consider a visit. Tickets are 10 yuan. The park features a large lake in its center, though the landscaping could be improved. There's also a bird sanctuary in the middle, perfect for a family stroll. Plus, taking children to the Science and Technology Museum offers both educational opportunities and enrichment—a truly rewarding experience. The park is also conveniently located on Metro Line 2.
I went there once in 2007, and then went again when the Big Yellow Duck came. Century Park has not changed much in recent years, but it is still as beautiful as before. The surrounding buildings are getting taller and taller, and it is also a pleasure to see these buildings in the park.
It's a big park. Renting a bicycle is a good choice for children.
I casually strolled through Century Park, snapping photos and feeling the spring air. I discovered that Century Park doesn't have a specific type of flower, but rather a little of each, not too many, perfect for a comprehensive flower outing. Upon entering, I was greeted by a flower bed of petunias in all colors! A cherry blossom path lined the park. It was incredibly crowded, so capturing the tranquil beauty of the winding path was difficult.
Century Park is located in the heart of Pudong. Get off at Century Park Station on Metro Line 2. The main entrance is just across the street from the station. Adult admission is 10 yuan. The park displays a variety of flowers throughout the year. The plum blossoms of February are renowned in Shanghai, and the annual Plum Blossom Festival is held. The plum forest has grown considerably, attracting large crowds of visitors. Later, rapeseed blossoms, cherry blossoms, and lotus flowers bloom in summer. The park also boasts a large artificial lake, perfect for boating. During National Day, fireworks displays over the lake are a fixture in Shanghai.
Century Park has nice scenery. The park is quite large and you can rent bicycles inside, but it seems there are no single bicycles. It is nice to come and see the flower show in spring.
Century Park is huge, and every time I go, it's always packed and bustling. Many families bring tents to enjoy the sun and play together. There are also many activities and rides, and the scenery is beautiful, with wintersweet, plum blossoms, rape blossoms, and cherry blossoms. It's a pleasant stroll and conversation. Tickets are 10 yuan.
It's a great place to visit in spring. February and March are the peak bloom season for plum blossoms, followed by magnolias, and then cherry blossoms. The park boasts three groves of plum blossoms, magnolias, and cherry blossoms. There's also a lake with a small beach nearby, where children love to play. Bringing a tent is a great option. The annual Plum Blossom Festival is held, and this year's ticket price remains the same at 10 yuan, with free admission for those over 70. Even during peak season, the park can still be quite crowded.
One day in late winter and early spring, I passed by Century Park and went for a stroll. It was a weekday and close to getting off work, so there were very few people, which made the lawns, air, and streets much cleaner!
Century Park Plum Blossom Exhibition opens. The flowers are in full bloom on February 27th, which is breathtaking. After getting off the subway and entering the park, you can see a large area of plum blossoms in full bloom. It is worth a visit.
I chose the worst time to come to this place, and then, there was nothing else. It was the wrong season, no flowers or plants, no lush greenery, no birds singing or dogs barking, nothing at all. The trees on the road were all green, but the trees in Century Park were all leafless. It would have been fine if it was the wrong season, but the weather was also bad. I came to visit the park on a foggy day, and all the children in the park were crying. I really didn't know what to do. You can get there directly by taking Line 2 of the subway. Century Park sells tickets. Student tickets are 5 yuan, and adult tickets are 10 yuan. That's the price. Maybe it's a little more expensive during exhibitions...
The scenery is very good, very suitable for spring outing, you can bring a badminton racket, set up a tent, play cards and ball with your friends, it is very pleasant to enjoy
This is an iconic park. When you come across exhibitions such as the Big Rubber Duck and plum blossoms, you can go here to take a look.
I think the amusement park wasn't there twice when I was a kid. This park has quite new rides, and the roller coaster doesn't look thrilling, but as an old person, I'm really afraid of weightlessness! I hesitated for a long time and ended up not going. I went on the pirate ship, which is the most daring thing I've ever been to in an amusement park. The bicycles are much more advanced than the ones we had as kids, haha. There's also some really high-energy music!
The ticket is 10 yuan. You can move freely inside. There are boats and so on. But it is best to go there in a group. You can have a picnic. The environment is very good.
Shanghai Century Park is located in Pudong, accessible via Metro Line 2, exit 1 of Century Park Station. This year, I went because of the Giant Rubber Duck exhibit inside the park. I bought a one-yuan ticket for the duck, and the air is wonderful. Many families camp and picnic there. Daytime is best in spring and autumn, but evening is best for summer.
Transportation: Take Metro Line 2, exit at Exit 1 or 4, and walk straight for one or two minutes. It's very convenient. (Of course, there are other convenient transportation options as well.)
Admission: There is a ticket office at the entrance, 10 yuan for adults, half price for students with student ID.
Park Overview: Century Park has a very good internal environment, with signposts everywhere, which is very user-friendly. You don’t have to worry about getting lost. There is also a small map on the back of the ticket for reference.
The park is broadly divided into a landscape garden area, a sparse forest and lawn area, a lakeside viewing area, a bird sanctuary, a native pastoral area, and an exotic garden area. I highly recommend the lakeside and lawn areas: the lakeside area offers a view of the lake, perfect for photos and fresh air; the lawn area is ideal for family picnics, where you can bring a tent or a picnic blanket and enjoy the harmony of nature.
Of course, if you're walking alone or with someone, we recommend the scenic garden area, which is located on the left after entering Exit 7. Remember to take the smaller paths! The smaller paths offer stunning views! Photos 1 through 6 below were taken in that area. I even encountered a squirrel!
Special Activities: Bicycle rental, boat rental, and children's playground. A deposit of NT$100 is required for both bicycles and boats. The rental fee is NT$50 per hour for bicycles and NT$60 per hour for boats.
Century Park
Location: No. 1001, Jinxiu Road, Pudong New Area, Shanghai
Century Park, formerly known as Pudong Central Park, is a large park in Pudong.
Administrative area, southeast of the new district office center.
Transportation: Take Metro Line 2 and get off at Science and Technology Museum Station, which is opposite the park's Gate 1 entrance.
Take Metro Line 2, get off at World Park Station, and walk 100 meters to the park's Gate 7 entrance.
introduce:
The park is mainly composed of large areas of lawns, forests and lakes, and has seven scenic areas including the rural pastoral area, lakeside area, sparse forest and lawn area. The park also has a children's playground, leisure bicycles, sightseeing cars, cruise ships, a green maze and a fishing area.
Century Park is very large and it takes more than an hour to walk around it, which is very tiring. I recommend renting a leisure bicycle, which is available for two or four people.
There is a large lawn in the park. If possible, bring a tent, find a quiet place, set up the tent, and when you are tired of playing, lie down in the tent for a while. It is so comfortable!
feature:
Century Park holds a plum blossom exhibition every year, attracting thousands of visitors. During the exhibition, many photography enthusiasts come to take pictures of the blossoms. Another unique feature of the park is its annual large-scale fireworks festival, where beautiful fireworks soar into the sky, creating a truly stunning spectacle.
Tickets:
Normally, the ticket price is 10 yuan per person. During the Fireworks Festival, the standing ticket price is 70 yuan and the seated ticket price is 200 yuan.
During the plum blossom exhibition: 20 yuan/person (you can also go to appreciate the bonsai).
Century Park: One major drawback is that there's no place to eat in the park, not even for dim sum. There's only a teahouse next to Gate 7 where you can get dim sum, which is very inconvenient. Be warned!
Century Park is very large and has a relatively large lake. When I went there, I saw a foreigner taking pictures of birds with a cannon. It is a good choice to walk around alone.
Century Park is very large. I didn’t expect that there would be such an urban ecological park in the center of Shanghai. It can be said to be an oasis in the bustling city.
First of all, getting to Century Park is very convenient. You can choose to get off at the Science and Technology Museum Station on Metro Line 2. Century Plaza is right outside the station, which is very grand. Then enter the park through Gate 1. You can also take Line 2 to Century Park Station and exit from Exit 1.
I bought tickets on site for 10 yuan per person, but it seems cheaper to book online. Some of the attractions do require a fee, but they're not expensive. For example, feeding the pigeons costs 2 yuan per bag, the sightseeing bus ride is 10 yuan per person, and boating charges vary depending on the time. It's not very crowded on weekdays, but on holidays, some attractions require long queues.
Although the park is large, I recommend strolling slowly and taking photos if you want to experience the beautiful ecological environment in this bustling city. Century Park regularly hosts themed events and exhibitions. Earlier this year, we happened to see a plum blossom exhibition, with a variety of blooms competing for beauty. The park also boasts carefully designed greenery at some scenic spots, offering beautiful views. There's also a lakeside area, making for a tranquil and relaxing stroll.
It is recommended to spend about half a day sightseeing and enjoy some entertainment activities. In the modern city of Shanghai, this park is indeed a rare and pleasant enjoyment.
Century Park is obviously worth a visit. Century Park is very large, and parents with children are advised to rent bicycles for sightseeing.
Century Park is a beautiful place to visit in spring when the flowers are in full bloom. You can take a sightseeing bus around it or get off and walk across the bridge to explore the flowers. It is a very suitable and quiet place for outdoor photography.
A natural oxygen bar. Tickets are 10 yuan. I went there in the morning. There were some people doing morning exercises and children on an outing. It was a big place. I only walked around 1/3 of it. It is a good place to take pictures.
I was deceived by the pictures on the Internet
Arrival at Century Park
But I didn’t see any animals with shapes as shown in the pictures.
Only a few.
When it first opened, it was advertised as the largest park in Shanghai. Now it has become an ordinary park, but its advantage lies in its excellent location and convenient transportation.
It is a very suitable place for families to relax on weekends. The park is very large, with lakes, woods, large lawns, and large flowers. The overall feeling is that it is great to have a place so close to nature in a big city. It gives people a quiet feeling away from the hustle and bustle of the city, which is very good!
I went for a walk during the Plum Blossom Festival. It was just okay. The walk from the park to the subway was too long.
2012.04
I went there twice. The entrance fee is 10 yuan. The scenic area is very large. You can choose a place by the small lake to bask in the sun or enjoy the breeze. If you go there in May or June, the rape flowers and red leaf plums are in bloom and it is very beautiful.
Century Park isn't particularly famous in Shanghai, but compared to Tianzifang and other parks (it's similar to Xiamen's Gulangyu Island), I decided to take my mom there because she'd love it. Century Park has a 10 RMB ticket, and we rented a bike for 50 RMB an hour. The sun was too strong, so I couldn't really play; I felt like I couldn't keep my eyes open.
I went there during the Shanghai Running Festival. It's huge and has a nice atmosphere. It's a bit like Central Park. You do need a ticket, but it's very cheap.
That day, I went to Century Park with several classmates. It happened to be the Plum Blossom Festival, and there were many pigeons in the park.
Shanghai Century Park is one of the few parks in Shanghai that charges an entrance fee, but the price is quite affordable. There are often events going on, so on a sunny day, it's a great place to stroll around and take photos.
It's big enough and the tickets are cheap. If I don't know where to go with my friends, I will consider this place...haha
The lungs of Shanghai, with gardens, cherry blossoms and lakes.
The public facilities are complete and the air is good!
The entrance fee to Century Park is 10 yuan, and the student ticket is 5 yuan. However, the area and plum blossom exhibition inside are more than worth the price.
The plum blossoms are a dazzling array of varieties, each one a sight to behold. The large cameras and small white rabbits passing by are impressive. I spotted a group of elderly photographers, a man taking photos while an older woman posed, row after row, a truly remarkable sight.
The park is very large and it is best to rent a bicycle. There is nothing special about it, but the various events and exhibitions every year are worth visiting.
We immediately rushed to Century Park. The kids told me there were cherry blossoms there, but I hadn't known about them before. Thankfully, we made it. It was beautiful, but it was already closing time. Century Park closes at 6:00. Tickets are 10 yuan.
Century Park is a city central park built by Shanghai at great expense. It covers a large area and requires a 10-yuan ticket to enter.
Century Park is quite beautiful and is divided into many areas, each with different characteristics. There are many people camping in the park, so many that I really feel sad for their life.
The entrance fee is a bit expensive for a park, 20. But the park is pretty nice and quite large. I always see people taking wedding photos in the park.
Century Park is very large, with a wide lawn and a large lake. It is also a favorite of tent campers. It has a central lake island, rural countryside, and international gardens. On a sunny day in spring, it is very pleasant to go fishing, fly kites, and have a picnic.
It's a nice place. I live nearby and often run there. The scenery inside is also nice.
I went there with my "daughter". Although the weather was not good, there were relatively fewer people, so it was still nice to take some photos.
Located east of Century Avenue in Shanghai's Pudong New Area (take Metro Line 2, Century Park Station, and enter through Gate 7; or Shanghai Science and Technology Museum Station and walk through Gate 1), City Center Park boasts lakes, green spaces, and woods. It's a 4A scenic spot. Tickets are required. Over 20 years ago, this area was swampy and farmland. With the development of Pudong New Area, an ecological park was created, surrounded by high-rise buildings, and opened to the public in 2000.
From wintersweet to plum blossoms, I have visited Century Park more than once, and there are also magnolias and other flowers that I didn’t have time to see. For flower viewing, this is still worth visiting.
Shanghai Century Park introduced wild old wintersweets from Daba Mountain, Sichuan, in 2009. After two or three generations of meticulous care, their growth has evolved from a dense, sparsely planted tree to a robust, trunk-like structure with a thick, sturdy, and robust stump. The flowers are plump and full in their early bloom, and their fragrance overflows after they bloom. Such old wintersweets are rare and extremely valuable in specialized plum gardens nationwide.
Located in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, it is one of the largest parks in Shanghai.
