There are still a lot of people here during the festival, but still less than Disney.
Several popular projects have long queues, but some are relatively empty.
There is also an international magic exhibition during National Day, with performances in several places.
Traveling clockwise, I feel there are fewer people than the counterclockwise route recommended online.
I think the performance in Shanghai Beach was pretty good too.
As for restaurants, there are KFC, East Dawning, and Pizza Hut. You can also bring food into the park. Of course, the price is definitely more expensive than outside. For example, grilled sausage is 5 yuan. Uni-President Instant Noodles has rented a stall inside.
The shuttle bus runs until the park closes.
I've been to Happy Valley countless times, but there aren't many exciting amusement parks in Shanghai. It's not ideal for going when it's hot, and when it's crowded, there are long queues for many rides. Since Disneyland opened, it seems much less crowded.
[Transportation] Get off at Sheshan Station on Metro Line 9 and cross the overpass to take a free shuttle bus.
[Time] Daytime: 09:30~16:00 Nighttime: 16:00~21:00 (many large projects are closed at night)
[Tickets] 230 yuan. For those who plan to come twice, I recommend buying an annual pass! ! Super cost-effective!
Attraction projects under development: Bone and Wood Dragon, Heroes of Heaven and Earth, Big Pendulum, Supreme Glory, Blue Moon Rollercoaster, Mine Adventure, Perfect Storm, Whitewater Rafting, and Spinning Camelback.
As a chain brand of Chinese theme parks, it has all the necessary exciting projects, so it is still worth a visit.
In the days when there was no Disney, it was the only one in the market. I don’t know how many times I went there. The lights and water curtains were amazing.
It's a very good amusement park with fun content. I will definitely go to the top amusement park next time.
I went there after getting my tour guide certificate. Haha, it's generally more exciting and fun than Disney.
Good places are all large equipment, not suitable for children and those with vertigo
It was my first time to Happy Valley, and it was a Halloween-themed place. It was quite far from downtown Shanghai.
[Directions] Take Metro Line 17 from Shanghai Hongqiao Station to Zhaoxiang Station, then take the Songzhong Line directly to Happy Valley (the Songzhong Line still has manual ticket sales). Estimated time: more than an hour
Once you enter the park, run straight towards the roller coaster and start on the right.
The first roller coaster, Gu Mu You Long (Gu Mu You Long), felt like the most thrilling of the three. The only safety features were a waist belt and a horizontal bar. Remember to warm up before riding, as it's easy to twist your neck. The first slope was incredibly steep, and the overall feeling of weightlessness was incredibly strong. Lap time: 1 minute.
The second roller coaster [Judingxiongfeng] has two vertical slopes, and the speed is very fast, which makes your heart beat faster! But it has shoulder pressure, which makes it safer than Gu Mu Youlong. The whole ride lasts for one and a half minutes.
The third roller coaster [Blue Moon Speedster]: It looks very similar to the roller coaster in the mini-game, with only a horizontal bar at the waist, a wavy track, and a strong sense of weightlessness.
The fourth roller coaster [Torn Stars] is a flying roller coaster. It is very fast, but it feels very cool. It is recommended to open your arms when playing to experience the feeling of flying. PS: I played this twice and was not afraid at all. Time: one minute
The fifth roller coaster [Gold Miner Roller Coaster]: This one is not as big as the previous ones, and the entrance is relatively hidden. I searched for it twice before I found it. This one is also very exciting, with various sloping slopes.
The other roller coasters are smaller and more suitable for children, so we didn’t ride them.
The bungee jumping machine inside is also very good. You can see the nearby scenery at the highest point.
The haunted house doesn't open until 5:30 PM. It was incredibly crowded at that time, and I went to three of them, all with real people. Personally, I wasn't too scared, so it was okay. If you're interested, you can definitely give it a try. There were also a lot of cosplayers trying to scare you while you're waiting in line, so be careful.
There was a water curtain show at 7 o'clock which was really great, but unfortunately I only saw the first part, and had to queue up for the haunted house later...
I thought Disneyland was crowded, but Happy Valley was pretty much the same.
I took a different approach and packed up my belongings without rushing. I headed straight to Disneyland after leaving the hotel. I took the bus and the hotel called to say they had left a valuable at the hotel. I had no choice but to go back halfway to retrieve it, which took me half an hour. By the time I finally arrived at Disneyland, it was already past midnight.
Shanghai Disneyland tips
1. Security check at the entrance: I checked many guides online and they all said that food is not allowed. In fact, during the security check, they mainly checked knives. Some small snacks such as candy and Snickers are allowed to be brought in. Instant noodles in the package can also be brought in.
2. If you can get FP, you should get it, but you have to queue up early in the morning. When we entered, the staff said that the scenic spots in the scenic area will open at 8:00 and people will be allowed to enter at 6:30. This shows the arrangement of this time.
3. If you want to watch the fireworks with your children, it is best to go at 7 o'clock to get a good seat.
4. You can buy meal coupons online in advance when eating in the park. I bought a 68 yuan meal coupon, which was a discount of 80 yuan. The hamburger set meal I had was super delicious, spicy, and the portion was large.
5. Shanghai has subway tickets specifically for tourists. You can choose a three-day ticket for 45 or a single-day ticket for 18 according to your schedule. You can take the subway unlimited times within the time limit.
Yesterday, despite the scorching 35°C temperature, I visited Happy Valley. I arrived at 9:15 and left the park after watching the water curtain at around 8:00 pm. I walked nearly 20,000 steps and became very tanned and thin.
I booked my tickets through lvjia. Buying through separate accounts is cheaper, and I used my ID card to enter the park. The entrance was incredibly slow and took half an hour. Mineral water in the park was 7 yuan a bottle, and a meal started at over 30 yuan, which wasn't cheap. I didn't have to worry too much about the heat, as there were showers in the queues, and I did get a bit sunburned walking between attractions.
We recommend grabbing a map and show schedule upon entering the park. If you're heading against traffic, head left first, avoiding the crowded right. Several attractions on the left are generally accessible upon arrival, with no lines. Once you reach the Happy Ocean area, there's a large indoor arena where you can relax in the air conditioning. The 6D experience is quite good. Wait until after 3 PM to try popular attractions like the Grand Pendulum and the Wood Dragon. Lines generally won't exceed 15 minutes. However, be sure to queue before 5 PM for popular rides, as after 5 PM, the night session will be crowded.
There are several water activities. I prepared several sets of disposable raincoats and shoe covers. They were too wet and the seats were soaked in water. The ones I bought in the park cost 15 yuan a set, which is quite expensive.
Never wear slippers without laces, as many activities require you to take them off, and stepping on the ground barefoot will burn you. I also recommend that you choose the activities if you are too fat. During the Blue Moon Speedway, a fat girl's seatbelt got stuck in her stomach and she couldn't press it down, so she had to change seats.
Yesterday I tried the following rides: Twin Heroes, Perfect Storm, Tornado, Rapids, Ocean Adventure, Mine Adventure, Treasure Island, Blue Moon Speeder, Peak of Power, Big Pendulum, Energy Storm, Wood Dragon, and a few indoor children's rides. Photos with the sea lions cost 30 yuan.
The thrills are basically over, and some of them left me feeling dizzy. The Wood Dragon ride was thrilling, but the experience wasn't great; the wooden carts hit me too hard. Heroes of Heaven and Earth and Mine Adventure weren't thrilling either. If you prefer a front-row seat, opt for the pendulum ride; it swings like everyone is in the front row. If you're timid, don't go to Happy Valley.
The annual pass is cheap at 286 per person. You can basically get your money back after three visits.
I went there with my uncle's family in 2012 and played several projects. I was more courageous at that time and played several exciting projects.
It was rainy and I bought the ticket online for 180 per person. After entering, many facilities were not open in the afternoon, so I could only play indoors first. Just like this, there were not many people and I didn’t have to wait in line for a long time. When it stopped raining in the afternoon, all the facilities were open. I could basically play once in a day, which was very profitable.
Compared to Jinjiang Amusement Park, the price/performance ratio is relatively high. I have been here three times and have not yet ridden the signature of Happy Valley: Ancient Wood Dragon, a huge wooden roller coaster. There is always something stopping me.
The Peak: A near-90° vertical drop, frozen for 1-2 seconds (as seen in the image below), is truly thrilling. While it's a fleeting experience, it's incredibly terrifying to watch from below. This ride is the scariest attraction in Happy Valley, the Super Pendulum, and much more thrilling than the Peak. My legs were shaking after riding it.
The pendulum at Shanghai Happy Valley is not only high, but more importantly, it lasts for a very long time. I was on it for more than 10 times before I came down. I was really about to cry. Anyway, I don’t plan to ride it when I go to Happy Valley in the future. The excitement level is *N
The sky and water show at night is a visual feast that cannot be missed, with a perfect combination of light and water. Highly recommended! ! ! !
Here you can forget your worries and find back the long-lost childhood happiness. I just accidentally bought an annual pass, which cost about twice as much as a single pass. I thought it was quite cost-effective at the time, but I have only been there once so far. After leaving Disney, I guess I won’t go there again for a long time.
I had never been to a haunted house before, and I wanted to go see one, but the haunted house here is really not fun. However, there are many other very exciting projects, but the queue is very long.
If someone slowly ignores you, it means someone else has replaced you. If someone doesn't even want to talk to you, it means you're no longer in their heart. So, if someone distances themselves from you, let them distance themselves! Don't ask why, because all you'll hear are excuses. If someone distances themselves from you, let them be. Don't try to keep them, because forcing love is too humble. Remember, those who care about you will never leave you, and those who cherish you will still silently pay attention to you even if they turn away. Get used to everyone's hot and cold attitude, and also get used to everyone's gradual distance. Sincerity is always priceless, and false love is always fleeting!
① Transportation: Parents can easily bring their children to Happy Valley. Take Line 9 to Sheshan Station, cross the overpass, and take the free Happy Valley shuttle bus. Driving is also convenient, and Happy Valley has dedicated parking. ② Children's Day: "One Adult Free, One Child" Family Special: During Children's Day, Shanghai Happy Valley is offering a special "One Adult Free, One Child" promotion. This means one adult can bring one child under 1.4 meters (1.4 meters) for free with the purchase of a full-price daytime ticket. Each child will also receive a free themed balloon, making Shanghai Happy Valley a truly fun place for adults and children alike. ③ Family Balloon Carnival: From June 1st to 10th, Shanghai Happy Valley will host a park-wide "Family Balloon Carnival"! The familiar Ocean Fantasy Hall will also be decorated with balloons, and your children can enjoy live games like "Happy Balloon Battle" and interactive services like the "Park-wide Balloon Show." The Fantasy Balloon Theme Pavilion, created with one million balloons, features themed scenes like a European town, an American jungle, an African grassland, the Asian deep sea, and polar pets. The scenery is so beautiful, I want to see it now! ④ Fun and classic attractions perfect for children include a carousel and a spinning top, as well as exciting performances like a float parade and a sea lion show, ensuring non-stop family fun. If you're looking for a stroll or an outing, you can find it here too!
Most of the rides were thrilling and dangerous. The line for the Ancient Wood Dragon Parade lasted an hour and a half. I gave up on the Twin Heroes of Heaven and Earth and the Big Pendulum because my legs were a bit shaky. I did catch the Shanghai Beach and the Equestrian Show, which were similar to sitcoms and quite enjoyable. And if you want a panoramic view of Happy Valley, go to Treasure Island.
The first attraction I visited in Shanghai, organized by the company
Halloween Special!
Starting at 5pm, the Night of the Demons walk begins. Please be careful on the streets! Be careful approaching any cosplayers standing still on the road. Hahahaha~ I'll be jumping and crying as I enter the haunted house...
Enjoy the thrill of roller coaster riding during the day;
The darker it gets at night, the bolder it gets.
The first experience was pretty good.
It's very exciting. Only by trying challenges can you go further.
Happiness has become a memory that I don't want to recall
Sadness, I hope it only stays in the past
I go to Happy Valley every year. The roller coasters are thrilling. There are so many attractions, I usually take a day off to go so I don't have to wait in long lines, and I get to ride almost every ride twice. On weekends, it's always crowded, so there aren't many attractions to try. It was Halloween when I went, so I painted a little pumpkin for fun.
It was thrilling, quite thrilling! My friend and I went straight to the top of the mountain for the first stop. The moment we plummeted from more than 60 meters to the bottom of the valley, I still can’t forget the feeling. As a result, we didn’t dare to ride the pendulum. In the afternoon, we went to Gumuyulong. There were still a lot of people. We queued for 1.5 hours and it was a thrilling 90 seconds, but it was worth it. It’s a pity that the Blue Moon Coaster and the Rapids Rafting were closed for maintenance today. I gave a bad review to the canyon rafting. What’s the matter? It’s just to sell raincoats. At the end, they put a water gun to spray you. An umbrella is enough to deal with it. Finally, I give a good review to the sky today. Any picture can be used as a wallpaper. Like it.
Okay, I'm very happy. It's too exciting. Haha, I can't stand it.
There is a shuttle bus from the subway line 9. Overall it is worth a visit and the projects are very exciting.
The equipment is a bit old, but it can be seen that OCT's roller coaster is quite experienced. It happened that there were fewer people coming, so you can ride all the roller coasters in one day.
This one is hands-down the best, far superior to Shanghai Disneyland's rides. I highly recommend the Grand Tour, Blue Moon Coaster, and the Big Pendulum. Mine Adventure, White Water Ride, and Ocean Adventure are ranked in that order. I went on a weekday, so there were very few people and no lines for any of the rides. I did each one several times, and I highly recommend doing Grand Tour at least twice. If you're afraid, try closing your eyes the first time, then open them afterward. Aside from the Big Pendulum, there's probably nothing more thrilling than this one. Of course, once you get used to it, nothing is thrilling anymore...
Business is usually slow as Disney has overshadowed it, but this time they put on a Christmas light show and brought back some customers. It's quite nice to just stroll around.
Shanghai Happy Valley boasts seven themed zones: Sunshine Harbor, Happy Time, Shanghai Bund, Shangri-La, Happy Ocean, Gold Mine Town, and Hurricane Bay. It boasts numerous world-leading technologically advanced attractions imported from the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and other countries, including the world's highest-drop roller coaster, "The Supreme Magnificent," China's first wooden roller coaster, "Wooden Dragon," the world's highest drop, "The Rapids," the world's most popular family-friendly suspension coaster, "Ocean Adventure," the internationally renowned "Flying Fish," Asia's thrilling tower, "Heaven and Earth Twins," the world-leading 4K high-definition "Flying Cinema," and the latest 4D roller coaster simulator, "Ocean Star." The park also features a large-scale multimedia song and dance show, "Happy Journey," the original magic show "Fantasy Gate," the film and television stunt live-action show "Shanghai Bund," the spectacular large-scale horse battle live-action show "Man Jiang Hong," and engaging performances such as close-up interactions with sea lions.
Shanghai Happy Valley, located in the Sheshan National Tourist Resort, covers 650,000 square meters and boasts numerous world-class high-tech attractions imported from the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and other countries, including the 60-meter drop roller coaster, the "Top Magnificent Wind," and the 1,200-meter wooden roller coaster, "Wooden Dragon." When the park first opened, the lines were incredibly long, but now that Disneyland has opened, the crowds are much smaller, making it a fun time! There are also nighttime activities, and on clear days, there are flower boat rides. Holidays like Halloween create a festive atmosphere.
It feels like a really nice place, 200 yuan for admission. Sometimes during tourism festivals, it's half price, and there are both sightseeing and recreational tickets. For entertainment, I definitely recommend the pendulum ride; it's super thrilling. There are also performances like "Shanghai Bund" that are worth checking out. The scenery is quite realistic. If you're a bit timid, just buy the sightseeing ticket. [Laughs]
Once inside, I was startled by the sheer number of people. There was a free makeup place near the entrance, but there were long lines of people waiting behind it. Many attractions were packed, and I was really afraid of waiting in line. Luckily, there was a live music event nearby, with performers dressed in Halloween costumes. I finally managed to complete two experiences, one of which involved fighting zombies, and I left feeling a bit unsatisfied.
Happy Valley is quite remote in Sheshan, but overall the ticket price is very cheap and there are many things to do. I generally recommend going there during Halloween, it's very fun. In fact, I have been there many times. Highly recommended
My most recent visit to Happy Valley was during the National Day holiday. While all the roller coasters were closed, many attractions were still open, including classics like the Heroes of Heaven and Earth. The nighttime crowds were sparse, and there were water curtain shows at 7 and 8 p.m., which were definitely worth seeing!
Happy Valley is a great place to take children to play. There are many exciting and thrilling entertainment projects in the park.
It's so big that you can't really do it all in one day. You need to split your visit into five areas. When I went there, many rides were canceled due to weather, but I still had a blast. If you're afraid of roller coasters, consider the 6D roller coaster in Happy Ocean. The VR roller coaster is quite a thrill. I recommend avoiding the Happy Hour area first; it's packed. Try exploring the other four areas first.
I went there with my colleagues on the weekend. Many of the projects were very exciting. I went there twice. There were always a lot of people and I had to queue up for most of the projects.
Gumuyu Dragon and Juedingxiongfeng are two roller coasters that I absolutely recommend. The first thing I did when the park opened was to head straight for Gumuyu Dragon to queue up. If you're a little slow, the queue might take two hours. Of course, we came on the weekend, but if you have time, I recommend coming on a weekday, when the queue might not be so long. We played for a whole day, and most of the time we were in line... It's really not easy to ride it. I played for three minutes and waited for an hour. It was really annoying.
It's a place worth visiting. The roller coaster is awesome. Highly recommended.
Happy Valley is located in the Sheshan Tourist Resort in Songjiang. It is a little far from the scenic area after getting off Metro Line 9. You can take the park's free shuttle bus to the park, or rent a bicycle to ride there, but riding a bicycle is too tiring, so it's better to take the free bus. The amusement facilities are pretty good. I personally think that the Valley of Wood Dragon is the most exciting and suitable for those who are brave enough. The restaurant inside is not bad and the price is acceptable. It is recommended to go during non-holidays when there are fewer people. You need to queue for almost every project during holidays.
Happy Valley has exciting projects. If you like excitement, you must go and experience it.
The night show I went to on Halloween was pretty good, but a little off
It's worth a visit if you like to go to the amusement park. There are many amusement facilities.
Tickets cost NT$230, but online prices range from NT$190 to NT$210! There are over a hundred attractions, big and small, and they say they're all free. On a statutory holiday, you can only play four in a single day! I'm talking from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.! The entire time, don't think it's an exaggeration! Almost every ride has a queue of at least an hour, and the popular ones take over three hours! For just one or two minutes, you have to wait in line for 1-3 hours! Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah! Also, the food inside is simply unbearable. It's a rip-off, not to mention unpalatable and expensive! The key is the arrogant attitude, as if tourists are begging for food without paying! I recommend bringing your own food. If that doesn't work, go to KFC. It's nothing like outside—of course, queues, queues, queues! No pictures, all recorded in video!
Happy Valley is pretty good. It's very big and you can play there all day long. There are many types of roller coasters, which are very exciting and great.
There are still a lot of tourists going there. It is not recommended to go during holidays.
I visited Shanghai last May. Happy Valley has water attractions, so it wasn't too cold to go there. The weather was perfect, so it's best to bring a good raincoat. We took the subway to Sheshan Station. At the exit, there were many locals trying to get you on the train or buy a raincoat. Ignore them. Just check the directions beforehand. There were signs pointing you across the overpass to Happy Valley, so it was easy to find.
Happy Valley tickets can be booked on the official WeChat platform. However, reservations require a confirmed visit time, and once confirmed, they cannot be changed. However, the price is nearly 50% off. Happy Valley is quite crowded, so if you want to ride popular rides like the coaster, it's recommended to arrive early to avoid long lines. You can enjoy all the land attractions in the morning and the water attractions in the afternoon for a more enjoyable experience. If your clothes get really wet, there are dryers near the water attractions at your own expense. I highly recommend it to amusement park lovers; Happy Valley is quite good.
Happy Valley in the surrounding cities is pretty good, but Shanghai Disneyland is about to open.
Very exciting and fun. Be prepared for long queues for rides like the roller coaster. There aren't many attractions open at night.
Shanghai Happy Valley is located in Sheshan, Songshan District, Shanghai. The park boasts seven themed zones: Sunshine Harbor, Happy Time, Shanghai Bund, Shangri-La, Happy Ocean, Gold Mine Town, and Hurricane Bay. Shanghai Happy Valley is a five-star recommended amusement park. Here, you can let loose, revel, and scream to your heart's content. It's highly recommended for thrill-seekers.
That day, we arrived just before the park opened and left just as it was closing. We tried every ride except the ones under maintenance. We let loose on the roller coaster, the pendulum, the rapids, and other thrilling rides. It was truly relaxing and enjoyable. At the end of the day, we both fell asleep on the subway on the way back, and even as we slept, we felt like we were spinning in circles on the rides. It was a truly unforgettable experience!
2011.10, together with Mr. Song’s younger brother and sister, there were about 7 people in total. It was very lively with so many people, but it was too exciting and not suitable for me.
Without further ado, look at the picture and it's thrilling to see it fall vertically at almost a right angle.
On March 7th, Girls' Day, I grabbed two of my best friends and headed out in my car. It was my first road trip, and it was truly unforgettable... The park is huge, with lots of exciting games. Unfortunately, my heart wasn't quite up to it, so I didn't try all of them, but it was a very enjoyable trip nonetheless...
Every Happy Valley is similar, but I like them all.
Don't go in the winter! Don't go in the winter! Don't go in the winter!
Don't go on a rainy or windy day! Don't go on a rainy or windy day! Don't go on a rainy or windy day! Even if it rained the day before.
The above are all bittersweet experiences. Now let’s get serious.
Happy Valley's facilities are generally good and numerous, suitable for young people. Unlike Disney or Universal Studios, which are for children, families with young children should avoid Happy Valley. Children and the elderly cannot experience the most essential attractions in Happy Valley.
Happy Valley is very cold in the winter, and all the rides are outdoors, including the lines. Furthermore, the whistling cold wind in your ears is more noticeable than the thrill of overweight or stalling.
If the weather is bad, some attractions will be closed, so it's important to choose a good day. Some roller coasters won't operate if there's water on the tracks, so even if it rained the day before, they won't work.
Went there on Halloween... lots of people... that's all.
I really like to invite some friends to go to Happy Valley. It is so exciting there. After entering, there are almost non-stop screams. We rode the bungee jumping machine. At first, we didn’t feel anything, but when we were hanging in the air and looking down, our hearts were lifted up. When we fell down, I don’t know if we were scared, but we heard them screaming!
Transportation: After exiting Sheshan Station on Line 9, there are guide signs all the way, making it easy to find the free shuttle bus. The front of the bus has a sign for Sheshan Subway Station to Happy Valley, and the body of the bus has Happy Valley promotional ads. It runs every ten minutes on holidays and twenty minutes on weekdays, but it usually runs when it's full. The ride takes about five minutes (I don't want to say anything to those who insist on taking an illegal taxi;
Dining: Grandpa Ken's, Pizza Hut, East Dawning, Aixixili, and Happy Valley's own restaurant. There are many Grandpa Ken's restaurants in the park, and they are basically in every area. However, the prices are higher than those outside, the portions are smaller, and the selection is even more limited.
Things to Do: You can enter with an e-ticket and swipe your ID card, which is very convenient. There's an electric car at the entrance for 30 yuan, with unlimited hop-on and hop-off times throughout the day. It wasn't very popular, so after just one tour, I felt it was a bit of a waste of money; it's really unnecessary; walking around would be much more enjoyable. I didn't try the thrilling rides like the bungee jumping, but I did almost everything else. I entered the park before 9:30 and left at 2:15. I did one ride three times, and the walk wasn't very fast. I also had a meal, so I felt my time wasn't tight. If you had tried all three or four thrilling rides, you'd have to check out every one of them. If you had entered around 9:30, you could have played until 5:30.
Also, there were fewer people on a weekday. Except for the Ancient Wood Dragon when we first entered the park, where everyone lined up for about an hour to take pictures, there weren't many other lines. By the time I left, the Ancient Wood Dragon line wasn't much either. Actually, aside from a few things with heads pointing down, the others weren't particularly scary and the duration was short, so everyone just played them repeatedly.
There were so many people waiting in line at 51 that it took an hour to wait for one facility. I felt dizzy.
Come to Happy Valley Halloween Party Happy Halloween
I always go to Happy Valley's Halloween event every year! I love the haunted houses! Look at the ghost makeup, isn't it scary? 👻👻👻 Besides the themed haunted houses, my favorite rides are Jueding Xiongfeng, Gu Mu Youlong, and Blue Moon Speeder! Those three roller coasters are awesome!
Shanghai Happy Valley, a meticulously crafted entertainment project in Shanghai by Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town Group, has attracted countless visitors since its opening, particularly young people. It boasts numerous attractions, including "Wooden Dragon in the Valley" and "The Ultimate Magnificent Wind," which draw long, sometimes endless, lines during holidays. It's said these attractions are imported from abroad. Every year, there are always special events, such as the current Halloween event, and before that, the Magic Festival during National Day Golden Week, the Happy Graduation Festival, and the Spring Festival Comedy Festival. Happy Valley is currently packed with visitors. Will Shanghai Disneyland retain its popularity after its completion?
I have been to Shanghai Happy Valley many times. The pictures below were taken on May 1st, Labor Day this year!
Shanghai Happy Valley is located at 888 Linhu Road, Songjiang District (near Linyin Avenue). I've been to all three Happy Valley locations in China, and my personal favorite is the Shanghai one. While the rides are essentially the same, the roller coasters in Shanghai are way more exciting than those in Chengdu and Shenzhen. I personally recommend buying tickets online, as it's much cheaper on-site. Also, remember to arrive early. On weekdays, the crowds are so high that the lines for each ride can often take over an hour, and even longer for popular rides. To maximize your experience, arrive early. Happy Valley also has occasional performances, which are generally fantastic. There's also a wide selection of unique food and snacks, so if you're tired, grab a bite to eat before continuing. The rides are quite enjoyable. My personal recommendations include the rapids, roller coaster, and the super jump. They're incredibly thrilling.
My boyfriend went there with me for my birthday. There were too many people and we couldn't play much in the whole day. Gu Mu You Long was very crowded from the beginning, so we just gave up. I have been there before when I was in college. Happy Valley in Shanghai is not as big as Beijing and Shenzhen. There are not so many activities and theme parks. It really makes use of the precious space to a certain extent, with a lot of amusement facilities piled up one after another. But it still has what it should have, and it is better than Jinjiang Amusement Park after all.
On my second day in Shanghai, I went to Happy Valley. Because I'd been to the Xujiahui Catholic Church beforehand, I was a bit late. I arrived at 11:00 AM, and it was a weekend, so it was incredibly crowded. There were no student ID discounts, so I ended up spending a whopping 200 yuan. You have to buy student tickets online in advance, and you have to buy them a day in advance. There's a place to check your belongings, and they cost 5 or 10 yuan depending on the size. I tried seven rides, and each one was thrilling. I screamed until I was hoarse. The lines for each ride averaged an hour. To have so much fun, I didn't even catch the train. As a result, I ran out of tickets and ended up sleeping at the train station. So, I recommend avoiding weekends and holidays to have a good time. There are night events, and the night ticket costs 80 yuan.
I went there during the half-price tourism festival and tried twelve rides in total: Valley Dragon, Heroes of Heaven and Earth, Supreme Glory, Blue Moon Speeder, Ocean Adventure, Rapids Braving, Happy Hot Wheels, Dream Spinning Top, Perfect Storm, Speed Cyclone, Spinning Swinging Umbrella, and Carousel. It was pretty fun, haha.
When I came here with my classmates, I rode each roller coaster twice before I was satisfied. The special Valley Wood Dragon and the Big Pendulum were very exciting.
Happy Valley is located in Songshan District, Shanghai, next to Maya Water Park and Sheshan National Geopark. In Happy Valley, if you like excitement, there are many options such as vertical rides, wooden dragons, and pendulums.
I've been to Shanghai Happy Valley twice now, and while it hasn't changed much, it's still fun. Going to Shanghai Happy Valley is all about the thrill. It's all about the heartbeat. We went on the Wood Dragon ride, which was unforgettable because it taps into your inner fear and makes you feel like you're still alive, haha.
For those who love amusement parks, this is a must-do. It's absolutely thrilling. After entering the park, you can queue up for the most exciting ride. After playing on the wooden roller coaster and getting off, your heart will be blown away. It's long and has a huge drop. Sitting in your seat, you feel like you're about to fly away at any moment. The pendulum, the tallest in Asia, is a must-do. It also has an incredible view...
I'm really timid. My friends dragged me to try several rides and I was high after that. Except for the pendulum, which gave me a strong sense of weightlessness, I thought the others were all good. We went on Friday, so there weren't many people. The student tickets I bought on Dianping were very affordable. Next time I want to go to Maya Water World~~
When I first arrived at Happy Valley, I felt that there were very few people. There were only two teams of elementary school students taking pictures at the entrance. I felt that the amusement park's business must have been taken away by Disney. As a result, when I was waiting for my friend at the entrance, I saw bus after bus of elementary school students. It should be an autumn outing organized by the school.
As soon as I entered the door, I ran to the left because I saw that the elementary school students were all walking to the right. I didn’t want to queue so I walked to the left. As a result, the areas on the left were not open. We walked back to the right and saw the conspicuous double-decker carousel as soon as we entered. However, the second floor was not open and we could only ride the first floor.
There are raincoats for sale at the entrance to the canyon rafting. I didn't want to go, but my friend bought one, so I had no choice. The quality of the raincoats sold here is indeed better than those online. They also come with long shoe covers and a small towel. I was completely dry when I got off the canyon. If you want to go, you really need to buy long shoe covers.
After exiting the Blue Moon Flying Car, we saw a small stage. Although there were only a few spectators, the actors performed very professionally. There was a row of parrots next to the stage. One of them was particularly silly and kept falling down and flying up. The boy said it might have injured its leg.
A parrot trainer was playing games with tourists. The two parrots in his hands were very smart. They would fly to our hands and heads and kiss my face. We all had a lot of fun.
There's a 6D virtual roller coaster here that's just as thrilling as a real one, only more fantastical, and crucially, less dangerous. While the ride looks beautiful and colorful under the indoor lights, it's not thrilling at all; it simply goes around the outside and back again.
In fact, the facilities in this Happy Valley look very old in the morning, but when the lights come on at night, it becomes particularly bright and charming.
At seven o'clock, the park will turn off all the lights because the water curtain Tianhua light show is about to begin. All the people in the park rushed here to wait for the show to begin. This show is a light show on the water and it is very shocking. If you come to Happy Valley, you must watch this water curtain Tianhua light show, otherwise it would be a pity.
