The weather was bad, with constant drizzle, but one good thing was that it wasn't crowded. You could take your time wandering around, and the kids could see every animal without having to squeeze in. The downside was that some animals didn't show up due to the weather...

Anyway, you can come.

By the way, you can get one of the human-powered bicycles at the door.

By summer |

It's a good place to take the kids. We came during the Chinese New Year, and it was winter, with low temperatures and no sun, so some animals didn't come out.

You can buy your tickets online in advance, remember to buy them a day in advance to get a better discount. If you buy them on the day, the discount is not big.

Parking is convenient, and the one-time fee of 20 yuan is reasonable. The food inside is quite expensive, with grilled sausages costing 8 yuan each and oden 20 yuan for 4 skewers. I didn't eat much else. The shops in the park are all managed by a unified management system, so there's no competition and the prices are the same.

There are two main routes within the park: one for the free-range area and one for the captive area. In the free-range area, you can take a free taxi or a feeding vehicle at your own expense. During peak season, it's recommended to take the free one, as the feeding vehicle will often make repeated trips until the animals are almost fully fed.

Some venues in the enclosure have performances, so it’s best to check the schedule so you can catch more than one show.

I personally recommend sleeping in at 10 am and arriving around 10 am to take your time exploring. We arrived late, so we felt a bit rushed. There are also some optional activities that you can participate in according to your personal preferences.

There is also a small playground in the park where children can play when they get tired of watching.

During the winter vacation, I met up with some classmates to visit the zoo. It started raining around 12 noon, so we wandered around and chose a restaurant in the food court inside the zoo. The restaurant was quite large and had a wide variety of set meals. Out of curiosity, we college students chose the Panda Zai Zai children's set meal 😊. It tasted good and the shape was cute. While we were eating and chatting, we suddenly noticed a group of tigers looking at us from the window. Haha, it was unique.

By Xiner |

The zoo is a bit deserted in winter. Many tropical animals have disappeared, leaving the space empty and sighing. Of course, there are still many animals that are not afraid of the cold, showing their cuteness outdoors or indoors, waiting for us.

For example, swans are delicious. A piece of bread can make them swarm around you and follow you swayingly.

The cutest alpaca stretched out its neck and tried desperately to nibble off the tender leaves of the surrounding fence.

The golden antelope, not afraid of the cold, lazily hid in the grass to bask in the sun and did not get close to us.

The cutest ones are the giant pandas, who eat and sleep in all kinds of ways. They are so adorable.

He was not well-behaved when he slept. He opened his eyes for a while, then closed them again, stretched, turned over, looked at us again, and continued to sleep.

We arrived at the Small Animal Park too late, and many of the interactive sessions had already ended after get off work.

We originally thought that the Shanghai Wild Animal Park was not big and could be explored in half a day, but it turned out that we were wrong.

The first attraction after entering is the "Flamingo"! This is the first time I have seen a living animal.

I was so excited that I took a lot of photos...

He kept talking to the flamingo: Please look at me!

There are many battery cars parked in front of the flamingo, which can take you around the zoo. There are several stations where you can get off and visit.

There are many small areas in the wild animal feeding area, such as the Siberian tiger area, lion area, hippo area, etc.

By Delphine_C_C |

It was Little Dolphin’s first trip to the zoo. It was a great experience. My parents had never been to the Nanhui Wildlife Park before. We unexpectedly loved it this time. We thought it was even more exciting than Little Dolphin. Haha😄

I plan to buy her an annual pass when she is a little older.

Write a few strategies for your reference.

🎈Tickets

The best deal on Dianping is the "ticket + feeding cart" package, which costs 140 yuan per person. You can enter the park directly by scanning the QR code, which is very convenient.

The original price of buying tickets on site seems to be 130 yuan, and the price of buying tickets on site from the feeding car is 40 yuan per person; the scalper price on site is also 120 yuan; if you buy it on the official APP of the zoo, it is 125 yuan after receiving the coupon.

🎈 Feeding car VS free bus

The tour in the park is divided into the captive area and the free-range area. You have to take a bus to visit the free-range area. The tour routes of the free bus and the feeding bus (not free) are the same. The difference is that the feeding bus is an iron-grid car without windows. During the tour, there are staff to feed the animals, so the animals will approach the car, and you may even have a chance to see animals pouncing on their food. We were lucky enough to see a bear pouncing on its food, hanging on the iron fence and driving with the car for a long time.

I highly recommend buying the feeding car, it's a lot of fun and you don't have to queue much, as there are too many people taking the free bus.

🎈Interactive experience

The enclosure area offers several interactive experiences, such as feeding alpacas, kangaroos, and giraffes. Prices range from 15 to 20 yuan, and food is provided. The alpacas' eyes light up when they see the food, and they rush straight to you for it, which is quite entertaining. Personally, I found the kangaroo interaction the most interesting. The kangaroos are scattered across the lawn, and you can touch them, take photos, and they're all very gentle and approachable. Tickets can be purchased either in cash on-site or through the zoo's official app. Some items offer coupons.

🎈 Tour route

It is recommended to take the feeding car to visit the free-range area first, and then visit the captive area.

1. Many interactive experiences in the enclosure area do not begin until 11:00;

2. The animals haven't been fed well in the morning, so they will be more active when they are fed. If you go in the afternoon, the food won't be so tempting and they will be too lazy to take a nap.

🎈Baby care tips

1. The zoo is located in the suburbs of Nanhui, and the surrounding area is open. Even in late autumn, when the weather is good, the ultraviolet radiation is still quite strong. Remember to prepare a sun hat for your baby.

2. I was surprised to find a mother and baby room in the park. The restaurant also provided baby seats, which was great.

3. The feeding vehicle has iron fences and no windows, so it is inevitable that there will be wind blowing while driving. Parents with children should remember to prepare an extra windproof jacket for the baby.

The Shanghai Wild Animal Park has a pedestrian zone, a drive-in area, a waterfowl lake, and attractions like a large circus and a Ferris wheel. It feels larger than the Beijing Daxing Wildlife Park. However, a quick search on Baidu reveals that the Daxing Wildlife Park is 3,600 mu, while the Shanghai Wild Animal Park is only 2,300 mu. Is my perception distorted? Or maybe it was just too hot that day, making the experience painful, which led to this misconception.

The animals are all very good and worth a visit, but the guidance in the park is not clear enough, which caused us to take a lot of detours.

By Still wanting more |

This is a very popular attraction in Shanghai. The animal exhibitions, performances, and interactions give visitors a great experience and are especially suitable for family trips. Take Metro Line 2 to Longyang Road Station, transfer to Line 16 to the Wildlife Park Station, and then transfer to Huinan Bus No. 6 for 2 stops. It is quite convenient.

By Please call me old five |

This was my second visit this year, and I felt the park had added a lot of new activities, primarily in the area of animal interaction, which made it even more interesting and fun. I participated in lemur feedings, orangutan feedings, and tiger pouncing observations. It's a great place for children to get up close and personal with animals and learn about science. For adults, it's also a great place for couples to meet or company team-building activities. My only regret was not seeing the horse and dog racing show, which I heard was fantastic. I'll definitely check it out next time I have the chance.

Activity rankings: ① Animal feeding interactive display, ② Tour bus, ③ Animal show, ⑤ Paid feeding

Only four stars. It lacks the right time, place, and people. I was lucky enough to check the almanac before going out. It was a good time to travel. The Zhangnan Express line I took when I went there didn't support mobile phone code scanning. The weather was hot, so I didn't see many free performances. Most of the tours were open-air, but I did see a lot of cute little animals. I recommend going from April to May, or when it's cooler. Avoid going from November to March, as it seems some animals hibernate [or where they spend the winter, I don't know]. There are still many photos below that I can't upload, for reference. I went alone, which was quite boring. I should go with friends. There was no one to take pictures with, which was frustrating. I think I almost walked through the whole place.

By Bond |

First of all, Shanghai Wild Animal Park is a tourist attraction that is worth visiting. It is basically enough to spend a whole day there. Secondly, the facilities and services of the zoo are very good, and the staff of the scenic area are generally enthusiastic and civilized. Thirdly, buying tickets online in advance is a good choice. China-TravelNote is a good choice. It is both affordable and convenient. You can just swiping your ID card when entering the park. Fourthly, you can basically take the subway to the zoo. No matter where you get on the subway, just transfer to Line 16 and get off at the Zoo Station. There are still two stops after you get there. You can take the bus or take an online taxi for more than ten yuan. Fifth, after entering the park, it is recommended to take an electric car. It is really convenient. Otherwise, it will be very tiring to walk. Sixth, there are many restaurants in the park. My family and I had a meal in the food court. The standard price per person was 50 to 60 yuan, and the taste was good. Finally, I wish you all a good time.

By 🐠Little Fish Begonia🐠 |

1. I personally feel that today's tour route basically covers all the animals, which is relatively scientific and reasonable;

2. There are fees for all feeding places. I think the prices are quite high. If you feed all the fish, it will cost a lot of money.

3. The circus performance is not cost-effective, the duration is not long, and there are not many exciting programs. If you have seen a good big circus, there is no need to watch it here;

By Happy |

We solved the dining problem on the central Swan Lake Island. The selling point is that we can dine together. The children were very happy. They ordered a children's meal, mushroom and diced meat rice and a beef set meal. The beef set meal also came with fruit. The taste was really good and the dishes were generous. Especially the waiters were all smiling and enthusiastic.

🌈As an animal lover, I've always been thinking about the Shanghai Wild Animal Park‼ ️Taking advantage of the good weather this weekend, I grabbed my friends and brought my small SLR to the zoo to take some photos🤹‍♂️📷

The zoo is very crowded on weekends! How can you see the animals you want to see while avoiding the crowds?

The following strategy is for everyone~~! 😊😊😊

✔️【⏰Play time】

🙋Enter the park as early as possible. There will be animals welcoming guests at the main gate square from 9:00 to 10:00. The interactivity of the animals will decrease a lot after they are fed.🦘🦙

🌞Try to choose a sunny day. If you are unlucky and it rains☔️, some animal shows will be cancelled🙅🏻

👍I recommend visiting Shanghai when the weather is neither too hot nor too cold. April, May, and June are particularly suitable for travel. 😊 If the weather is too hot, the smell of the animals will be unpleasant (you know what I mean). If possible, visit the park Monday through Friday. Weekends are more crowded, and there will be longer lines for animal feeding and shows. 👐

✔️【🚗How to get there】

1⃣️You can drive yourself, and the parking lot is large. However, it is recommended to take the subway during holidays.

2⃣️ Take Metro Line 16 and get off at Exit 2 of Shanghai Wild Animal Park Station, but it is still a distance from the zoo. You can take the bus, but you need to queue, or take a private car in front of the subway entrance for 10 yuan per person.

✔️【Must-check-in items🦁】

🔺Internet-famous flamingo🐦 (main entrance, feeding fee 20 yuan)

🔺Zebra Interaction🦓 (Feeding fee 20 yuan)

🔺Giraffe Interaction🦒 (Feeding fee 20 yuan)

🔺Small Animal Park🦜 (free, the animals are very welcoming, and there is a large green wall at the entrance, which is very photogenic)

🔺Interaction with the raccoons🐨 (very cool, they stand up and ask for food from tourists)

🔺Panda Area🐼 (lots of people, but the pandas are cute, so it's worth the squeeze)

🔺Alpaca Interaction🦙 (Feeding fee is NT$20, be careful of the alpacas spitting on you, most of them are pretty well behaved)

🔺Entrance to the Wild Animal Area by Car🦊🦁🐯 (The ticket price already includes the car fare. Although the queue is long, you can see a lot of wild animals. It is a must experience)

✔️【Tickets and other fees🎫】

Adult ticket price: 💰130 yuan/person, half price with student ID. You can book in advance on TB, which will be cheaper, and enter the park directly with your ID card👌

Opening hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Luggage can be stored in the park for 10 yuan per piece.

By Walking Wind |

The zoo is very interesting. Most of the people who come here bring their children to play. There are very few people like me who come here just to take pictures of the animals.

The animals are very lively and react when they see the crowd. One chimpanzee in particular is like a funny conductor, leading everyone to applaud, and then rocking out crazily, with a final freeze-frame pose.

I loved the fun childhood times here.

By Plum eggs |

Very good, especially the special performances and interactive projects. There are many kinds of animals, suitable for family travel or a weekend to see animals.

By Lin Chuan |

The Shanghai Wild Animal Park also offers wildlife shows and elephant rides. Wildlife parks should focus on popular science and reject animal performances.

By Ruiya |

I was strolling around on the weekend and came to the Shanghai Wild Animal Park. It is really huge.

By What's up? |

One strange thing is that there is a promotion for buying tickets on Meituan at the door, saying that the ticket plus the bus tour of the beast area is 130, and you can get a discount by using Meituan, so it cost 127. But according to the comments, it is 120 and includes all of these.

By JYW2088 |

Overall, it's okay, there are many kinds of animals. There are special internal buses to the wildlife area to see large carnivores.

By Xuanbao |

The first thing that catches your eye upon entering the zoo is the flamingo exhibit, where nearly 200 birds live in flocks. It is said that this is why flamingos have become the "welcome birds" of the Shanghai Wild Animal Park.

By Martian User |

The key point is that there is basically no need to queue during the tour.

Compared to Disney, it is more worthwhile to go together and the mood for playing is better.

By SComic |

This is completely beyond expectations. Although there are not many types, the attractions are still very rich.

By Big Bad Wolf |

The animals are quite complete and there are performances. The transportation is quite convenient. There is a subway.

By cinnabar |

Just for the flamingos

The first animal you see when you enter the door is the flamingo, which you can feed and get close to.

Although it is an old zoo, it is well managed, the animals are healthy, and the species are quite rich. There is also a wild animal area and a big circus. It is a place that children love.

By Purple sparkle |

After entering the park, I debated whether to borrow a bicycle or take the scenic bus. It was only five minutes, and all the bikes were borrowed. But I was glad I didn't. The kids could walk around and explore freely, freer. I chose the scenic bus (35 yuan per person, with fixed stops, one boarding per stop, for a total of five stops. This is not included in the ticket price. Many people use the bus tickets included in the ticket, but the tickets are for the sightseeing bus, so be careful). I took the bus to the wild animal area where the sightseeing bus stops and quickly lined up. The line was already quite long, but manageable. After about 15 minutes, I got on the bus. There are two types of sightseeing buses: feeding and regular. Since my kids were young, and feeding seemed a bit bloody, I decided to go with the regular bus. Regular buses are just like regular tourist buses, fully enclosed, with glass windows for viewing.

Although they are free-range in the wild, the heavy gates and electric fences indicate that they are only kept in a high-level captivity.

There were also wolves, lions, and other beasts, all kept in strictly defined areas. They were clearly accustomed to being watched here, and they didn't seem to mind the passing cars. In the wild, such a distance would have been considered an invasion of their territory, and they would probably have been in a fighting stance.

The sightseeing bus took about 20 minutes. After getting off, we found that the queue for the sightseeing bus had increased by 5 times compared to when we queued. We were glad to have avoided it.

When we arrived at the place to see the elephants, there were quite a lot of people queuing up, but since the children wanted to ride, we decided to go and experience it. After all, there are not many such opportunities.

The entrance to the panda house was right at the scenic area bus stop, so we decided to save some energy and take the scenic area bus back.

We got off at the Small Animal Park, where we had activities like feeding the baby animals. They were open from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, so we didn't get to participate. However, we did get to see the little babies in the display cases. Little lions and tigers were placed together, and the miniature versions of the beasts looked adorable.

Next to the small animal park is the slide play area. The children ran straight there when they saw it. In fact, this slide is more suitable for older children, with all kinds of climbing. The children were brainwashed by the concept of queuing, so they always waited until other children finished sliding before sliding.

By Heart in the sea of stars |

The Shanghai Wild Animal Park is located in Pudong. Transportation is relatively convenient, with a subway service, but driving is even more convenient. The 120 yuan ticket price is quite expensive, so I generally only visit during annual events. The parking lot is spacious. The park has two sections: a free-range area and a captive area. You can take the park's shuttle bus to the free-range area, which is included in your ticket, or take a caged car for 40 yuan to watch the animals being fed, though you pay for your own feeding. The captive area isn't large, and a walk around the lake doesn't take long. There are also performances, and the show schedule is available in the park guide. They're quite good. There's also a Russian circus, and you can buy a combined ticket for it, which costs around 100 yuan per ticket. The park is highly recommended and offers much more to do than Ocean World.

By Miss next year |

It's quite far. I took three subways and got off at the Wildlife Park Station. However, it's still quite far from the park. There are many cars soliciting passengers at the entrance of the subway station, which take you directly there for 5 yuan. You can also wait for the bus, but I don't know how long it runs.

When you enter, get a park map and interactive timetable to study the route schedule.

This schedule is quite tight. I have booked a big circus at 12:00, which will end at 2:00. All other performances have ended.

First we watched the 11 o'clock arena, which had small performances by bears, teddy bears, tigers, and monkeys. Generally, I opened a show for my mother first to warm up.

After coming out, I followed the direction to the tiger hunting. You can go to the second floor to watch the keeper feeding the tigers. It costs 20 yuan per person, but you can only watch and cannot participate in the feeding. The perspective is different. I saw that there were many feeding sessions, so I decided to watch it downstairs first, and then go to the second floor if necessary.

The food is hanging above the water surface, and the tiger needs to jump to eat it. Whether it eats it or not, it will fall into the water. Our position is pretty good, and the perfect posture of falling into the water is both funny and reflects the original side of wild animals. I like this interactive bridge very much. There is no need to go to the second floor, otherwise you will not be able to see the visual effect of the tiger jumping into the water.

I watched a circus show at the zoo. It was probably my first time watching a proper circus show. It was quite exciting, especially the final flying trapeze show, which was really heart-wrenching.

I came out to feed the pigeons and wanted to feed the elephants, but my mother said she was afraid. She was not as brave as she was in the past two years. She had fed elephants before. Time really doesn't forgive us.

Basically, they are common animals in zoos.

We walked and stopped a lot and didn't have lunch. We brought apples, oranges and other things with us, but we didn't feel hungry after eating them. However, the guide said that the food there tasted good and was not expensive, so everyone should plan their time well and have a good lunch.

It was almost four o'clock, so I hurried to take the tour bus to the wild animal area. I happened to follow the keeper's feeding truck. Many animals came to the roadside to eat, and I saw groups of foodies along the way.

It was almost five o'clock when I got off the bus. I had recovered some strength and left the park directly.

After leaving the park, many people quoted 6 yuan to go to the subway station, which is reasonable.

By Elephant crushes ants to death |

Today I visited the zoo and had a meal at the Flamingo Restaurant. It tasted good and I will come again next time.

Around nine in the morning, we got off the Shenjia Lake Expressway and turned onto the South Sixth Highway. There was a bit of traffic on the road, but fortunately it was over in about ten minutes. We booked the tickets online and it was very convenient to scan the code to enter the park. We watched the animals welcoming guests along the way. The little guy was very happy, dancing and taking many photos. The staff said that the tour bus to the beast area would not end until around 17:00, so we watched the sea lion show and the Russian Circus in the morning. It felt pretty good. 👍 Near noon, we stopped by the Coke Restaurant on the shopping street to have lunch. We ordered a serving of spaghetti, golden needle beef rice, and grilled eel rice. The average cost was fifty or sixty yuan per person. The portion was acceptable and the taste was good, but it felt a little expensive. However, compared with other scenic spots, the price is reasonable.

By China-TravelNote users |

I went there with my classmates during the Mid-Autumn Festival. We bought the tickets online. The ticket checking was very fast. We took the Ferris wheel and the scenery of the zoo was very beautiful. The braised beef brisket rice at the Flamingo Restaurant was very delicious. You can go and try it. The Russian circus was wonderful.

By China-TravelNote users |

It was a beautiful autumn day, so I took my daughter to the zoo. We rode the Ferris wheel and saw lots of rare animals. We also took a boat ride to see the animals, which was a novelty! My daughter loved it! We also had the freshly grilled steak, which was so tender and delicious! The zoo is huge, and we spent a whole day there. I'll definitely go again next time!

By China-TravelNote users |

We took advantage of the autumn outing to visit the Shanghai Wild Animal Park. There are many animals in it. The children love the playground and the sea lion show. The environment for lunch in the Swan Hall is nice. I ordered beef rice for my son and it tasted very good.

By Late Chicken |

We ordered a baby panda meal in the gourmet restaurant. The kids loved it and the taste was very suitable for kids. You can also watch the little tigers while eating. It’s really worth it!

By China-TravelNote users |

During the Mid-Autumn Festival, I took my parents to the Shanghai Wild Animal Park. We watched the 12 o'clock circus, which was wonderful and exciting. We also fed the swans and had lunch at the Flamingo Restaurant. We ordered spicy chicken and noodles for my parents, asking them to cook them softer. The waiter was very friendly and the noodles were delicious. I will definitely come back next time!

The zoo is quite a distance from the subway station. There is a shuttle bus that takes you there for 1 yuan, but you have to wait in a long line. Some of the attractions in the zoo require separate tickets, such as the alpacas, kangaroos, etc.

During the Spring Festival holiday, the whole family went to the zoo. Although it rained, it did not affect our interest in playing. We saw all the animals and ate the freshly grilled steak from the Panda Restaurant, which my daughter loves. The steak tasted good, fresh and freshly grilled. I loved it!

Last weekend, I finally went to the Shanghai Wild Animal Park that my girlfriend had been longing for, and it was another perfect experience.

We only bought the entrance ticket, which included a bus ride to the wild animal area. There were many different animals, and most of them were accessible up close. Raccoons, red pandas, lemurs, mongooses, kangaroos, alpacas, giraffes, and giant pandas were all very adorable. You can feed many of the animals, with prices ranging from 15 to 30 yuan. We bought a feeding pass for the kangaroo area, which was a great experience.

After touring the entire park, we headed to the bus stop to board the Wildlife Area bus. The Wildlife Area features both herbivores and carnivores, including zebras, Siberian tigers, African lions, white tigers, leopards, bears, and sun bears. They roamed freely, and some of the animals even stuck out their tongues when the bus passed by. It was a truly wonderful experience.

I just went there yesterday. After getting off Line 16, you need to change buses and ride two stops. The bus fare is 1 yuan, but after the subway ride, you can pay by swiping your bus card or phone. The park is divided into two main sections. One section is a bus tour of the scenic area, where you can also pay for a ride with a feeding area. The other section is a self-guided tour, similar to a regular zoo. There are many paid attractions, including a circus, feeding flamingos, pigeons, elephants, zebras, giraffes, alpacas, kangaroos, and swans. Pigeons and swans are 5 yuan, and everything else is about 20 yuan. Petting a lion cub is 30 yuan, and riding an elephant is 50 yuan. There are also horseback and camel rides, but I'm not sure how much they cost. For the elephant ride, children over 130 cm tall need a ticket. Once you enter the gate, you can rent bicycles. A single row is 40 yuan per hour for two adults and one child. There are also double rows, which are more expensive. There's a 300 yuan deposit, which is deducted directly from the fee when you return the bicycle. We saw three free performances: a sea lion show at 10:00, a lion and tiger show at 11:00, and a large square art show at 1:00. The food was quite expensive, with a bottle of mineral water and cola costing 7 yuan. Overall, it was pretty good.

By Are fish dumplings delicious? |

Raccoons and red pandas are simply adorable! And giant pandas~

However, the signs in the park are not very good. Another thing is that many animals need to be seen by sightseeing buses, which require additional fees. The bus stops are not close to the entrance, which gives people a confusing feeling.

It satisfies all childhood fantasies about animals. It is great to be able to play with animals.

In the amusement area of the park, you can ride the Ferris wheel, pirate ship, bumper cars, and go-karts. It is a great place for family outings.

When buying tickets, you can choose a package deal, and for a few dozen yuan, there's a circus show at 1:00 AM. (We later learned that this conflicted with the lion and tiger show, probably to divert visitors. There was also a sea lion show, but we missed it.) There were cat and dog training programs, as well as song and dance, acrobatics, equestrianism, and more. It lasted about 50 minutes and was quite exciting. It reminded me of the recent movie "The Greatest Showman."

By Wandering around |

We arrived at the zoo's main entrance at 10:00 AM. We exchanged and rebooked our tickets until 10:20 AM, and then we set off. There's a guidebook at the entrance, so be sure to grab it for directions. A quick side note: there's a Russian circus performance going on, and children under 90cm are free. The parents in line ahead of me hesitated for a long time about whether to buy tickets, but ultimately gave up. When taking children out for fun, it's worth taking them to see some worthwhile shows; the point of going out is to have fun and learn. I opted for the non-feeding drive-through area of the zoo. He rode on the bus to see the animals in each enclosure, which gave him a direct and secure introduction. The sun was scorching, and many of the animals were either seeking shade or soaking in the water. The zoo boasts a wide variety of animals, and according to the guide, it's the largest zoo in the world. There are some unique species, so it's a good idea for the children to see more. The flamingos are quite charming, and they serve as welcome birds upon arrival. You can feed the pigeons in the pigeon park. The kids were having a blast playing there too. A little tiger was taking a nap, and a little baboon was playing on a rocking horse. Someone coming in seemed to disturb their enjoyment. The broad-eared fox, with ears that can cover its face, looks so cute.

I bought a package ticket online, and entry was very convenient. I just scanned the QR code I received via SMS. I picked up a guide map at the entrance, which is something I always do at any attraction. I'd check out the route, and the zoo also has several free shows that are not to be missed. Planning your itinerary is essential! The flamingos, some of which have a striking red plumage, were bred by the keepers. The keeper explained that the red color isn't the flamingo's natural plumage, but rather comes from the plankton in their diet. The astaxanthin, which they consume through their diet of small shrimp, fish, algae, and plankton, gives their pristine white feathers a vibrant red hue. The brighter the red, the stronger the flamingo's physique, making it more attractive to mates and resulting in better offspring. The waterfowl lake is especially dense with swans. When it rains, the swans flutter their wings and flock to the shore, waiting for the keepers to bring them breakfast! There's a vending machine near the lake that dispenses swan feed. We bought a few packets and fed them when they were hungry. They became incredibly obedient, following you wherever you go. It was quite amusing. Walking along the lake, we saw squirrel monkeys, raccoons, red pandas, and black bears. The signposts were clearly visible. The air and environment were clean; the animals must be very happy living here every day!

By Small fish swimming in the village |

Upon entering the park, pick up a zoo map at the entrance. The white route is for walking, while the yellow route requires a sightseeing bus. We followed the red arrows and headed straight to the sightseeing bus stop to queue for the bus. The bus stop is divided into a feeding station and a sightseeing bus stop. The feeding bus is charged separately, while the sightseeing bus is free. The sightseeing bus stop takes about 30 minutes, returning to the starting point. Then, we begin our walking tour, where we see the "divine beasts" alpacas and the "national treasure" giant pandas, followed by various animal performances. Feeding the "divine beasts" alpacas costs 15 yuan per person, allowing for close-up photos. The giant pandas are treated the best in the entire zoo, staying in air-conditioned rooms. A national treasure is a national treasure. Shanghai Wild Animal Park is a truly enjoyable experience in about 4 hours.

By Taiping-style wind |

We walked around from the right after entering the main gate. We rented a four-wheeled bike for the four adults and two children, which was very useful (saving a lot of effort), but the price wasn't cheap. We stopped by the rental bike and had lunch there. There were quite a few people, and the food was okay. We were going to feed the kangaroos, hippos, and giraffes. With our ticket, we could take a sightseeing bus and take a tour around the free-range area. It was great.

I took my child to the Shanghai Wild Animal Park and saw many animals. The baby was very happy. The set meal we ordered in the park tasted good, the service staff was very enthusiastic, and we also watched a free animal show.

I went to Shanghai with my bestie during the Spring Festival. I finally tasted the internet-famous turkey legs at the zoo. Haha, it was great. The big turkey legs made us feel happy.

My daughter is on vacation, so I took her to the zoo on the weekend. Most of the performance venues there are free. The sea lion show in the morning was very exciting. My daughter even took a photo interacting with the sea lions. The weather was too hot, so we found a Flamingo restaurant nearby at noon and had a meal under the air conditioner. Everyone in the family ordered a different set meal. Overall, the taste was good and the portion was quite large. The interaction between the animals there was also good and worth seeing.

I took my children there on July 3, 2018, and played from 11:30 am to 4 pm. My children like feeding the animals, so we didn't watch any of the animal shows and focused on feeding them. A portion of feed is basically 20 yuan, and the amount is not much, which is good to avoid overeating and affecting the health of the animals. There are many kinds of animals that can be fed, including alpacas, goats, swans, giraffes, hippos, flamingos, elephants, zebras, birds, tigers, lions, etc. For the car tour area, we chose the iron cage car for 35 yuan per person. Although the animals would come close when the keepers fed them, the wire mesh blocked our view and it was not clear. It might be better to take the free tour bus so as not to disturb the animals' rest.

This zoo does not have as many animal species as Changlong, but it wins in terms of number. The most impressive thing is the car tour area, where there are many zebras.

The baby follows mom and dad.

Moreover, this is the zoo with the most animal feeding activities among all the zoos we have visited. The children were very happy to have close contact with the animals. Flamingos and giraffes were my daughter's favorites. She was unwilling to leave until she fed them two or three times.

It is about a 20-minute drive from Disneyland. If you have enough time, you can spend half a day or a whole day here to take your children there.

Ticket types: 1. Single ticket (free for those under 1.3 meters tall) 2. Package: ticket + feeding car 3. Package ticket + circus

Animal show times: Sea Lion Theater 10:00 AM/3:15 PM, Dog Racing Track 11:00 AM, Arena 11:00 AM, Beast Hill Plaza 1:00 PM, International Circus Theater 1:00 PM. The dedicated official app is incredibly convenient. Tickets and the feeding cart are included. Children don't need tickets; just buy two children's tickets for the feeding cart on-site. The flamingo guard is so cool, and the bus ride into the wild animal area is free. Compared to the sightseeing bus, the feeding cart is free and no separate ticket is required. However, there are fewer passengers in the feeding car, so you can stand when watching the wild animals, and you have a better view on both sides. When the staff on the car are feeding, the wild animals will climb onto the car to get closer, making it convenient for tourists to observe them up close~~~~~As the first gate of the wild animal area opens, the first things that come into view are various herbivores such as deer, camels, wildebeests, etc.~~~Seeing so many animals in groups, my son couldn't sit still, so he asked his father to pick him up and watch him carefully from left to right~~~~When feeding, observing the white tigers eating at close range is a very special experience for children~~~~~~It takes about half an hour to go around the wild animal area. It was very cool in the sea lion theater. Watching the three cute sea lions performing various shows in the swimming pool was wonderful, but I still felt a little sad. There was a [Large Square Art Performance] at 13:00 in Baishoushan Square. Various animals took turns to perform. It was a free big circus. We went in 15 minutes early to get a good seat in the first row. Before the show officially started, there would be a horse team charging money to take children on horseback riding, 30 yuan/2 laps. The two children rushed to ride horses. Okay, 60 yuan was enough. But I have to complain.

We took my son, mom, and dad on a day trip to the zoo. We saw the animal show at the Beast Mountain, the sea lion show, and the tiger pouncing on its prey. We also had noodles at the Ueno Noodle House across the street. My son had the chicken drumstick noodles, and the chicken drumstick was super big and delicious!

My family of three went to the zoo. We didn't choose a weekend because we were afraid of the crowds. While visiting with my child, I reminisced about my childhood. Because we were pushing a stroller, we didn't take an electric bike or rent a bicycle the entire time. I deeply regretted it! The zoo is so huge, and while the kids wouldn't be tired, adults would be. If you're pushing a stroller, I recommend checking out the bicycle rental counter at the entrance and renting a bike or electric bike for a relaxing tour. The animals in the zoo were truly fascinating, and my son loved them. I didn't recognize many of them, but I read the descriptions nearby and learned about them myself, teaching my son along the way. We finally took the free shuttle to the wild animal area, but after that, we were exhausted. It was already 1:30 PM, so we found a Coke Bar and Restaurant there for lunch. We ordered some food, which was reasonably priced for a scenic area. My son devoured two chicken wings in one sitting, and we were really hungry. We finished the pasta and the daylily and beef rice, which were quite good. After a great time, we headed home.

Personally, I think it’s not as fun as the wildlife park in Daxing, Beijing, but overall it’s okay and my children like it.

By Overdose |

It was summer when we went there! So there weren't many people in the zoo! The animals were all lazy! We were four people and hired a minibus and a tour guide for 400 yuan.

By Mars Dizzy Baby |

The ticket price is 120 yuan for adults and free for children under 1.4 meters.

We bought a package that included tickets to feed giraffes, alpacas, and kangaroos, which cost 158 per person.

Entering the park, you can scan your ID card. We shared a minibus with others to see the various carnivores. The minibus is chartered for 300 yuan, and it can accommodate 10 people. For the three of us, each cost 30 yuan. After the show, we returned to wait for the animal feeding, which was between 12:00 and 2:00. We wanted to see the Grand Circus, which starts at 1:00 and lasts for an hour, so we rushed to the feeding area as soon as 12:00 was called. Tickets for the Grand Circus are separate, and we bought VIP Zone 1 tickets, which cost 150 yuan per person. Children are also charged.

Feeding the animals is usually 20 yuan per person. However, you can have close contact with the animals. Personally, I think it is a good place to bring children.

It's very suitable for taking babies, but you have to maintain enough physical strength~ I especially like taking a car to the wild animal area, it feels great!

Tickets purchased in advance on China-TravelNote will be discounted compared to those purchased on site. You can enter the park by simply scanning the QR code in the text message, which is very convenient.

After entering the park, you can pick up a guide map and the schedule of animal feeding times and animal performances from the picture rack, so that you can have a smooth visit.

The centerpiece of the park is undoubtedly the internet-famous flamingo. It's so adorable I couldn't resist snapping a few photos. I walked around the park in a counterclockwise direction, taking my time. The show at the Beast Hill Plaza is worth seeing, and the sea lion show is also quite charming. I also recommend the drive-in area, where you can choose to take a free tour bus or purchase a separate ticket for a feeding bus. The animals in the drive-in area are kept free-range, allowing for an immersive and up-close experience. Another highlight of the park, though I unfortunately didn't get to see the International Circus Theater this time, is that I hope to make up for it next time; I've heard it's quite good.

There are restaurants and convenience stores in the park, which can basically meet your needs. The prices in the restaurants are quite high, which is understandable, but the taste is really average. The whole park is centered around a large waterfowl lake. The overall environment is very good. I walked slowly and didn't feel tired at all. I spent a whole day like this.

In addition, if you are lazy, you can choose to rent a two-person bicycle for 40 yuan/hour, a four-person bicycle is 80 yuan/hour, and there are also minibuses and electric cars in the park, which seem to be 30 or 40 yuan/person. Anyway, everyone can get what they need.

Yesterday, my family of three visited the Shanghai Wild Animal Park. As soon as we entered, we saw the animal parade, which captivated our child. We then watched a tiger pouncing on its prey and the Grand Russian Circus. At noon, we went to Ueno Restaurant and ordered a bowl of mushroom, gluten, and shrimp noodles for our child. He said it was delicious, and I tried it myself, and it was indeed delicious! We'll definitely be back next time! It was a perfect day! Looking forward to our next visit!

The long-awaited National Day holiday is here. We brought our family to Shanghai Wild Animal Park to enjoy a beautiful day with blue sky and white clouds. The baby was very happy when he had close contact with the small animals and fed them [grin]. We had lunch at the Swan Restaurant, which was nice and clean. The baby ordered a panda baby meal for himself, which looked delicious 😋. Several adults ordered beef noodles, which had plenty of beef and was very affordable. I recommend it to everyone.

Today, the whole family finally had some time off, so we went on a day trip to the zoo. Unfortunately, we were stuck in traffic and didn't get in until 9:30. However, we did catch the welcome show. The black people were fantastic, and the gorillas were hilarious. We had a quick lunch and noodles at the Flamingo Restaurant 🍜. The noodle soup was delicious, and the beef chunks were generous. After lunch, we saw a circus 🐴 show. It was fantastic and well worth seeing, but it was crowded today, so I missed two shows. I can only look forward to returning next time.

I spent a day at the Shanghai Wild Animal Park with my family during the New Year's Day holiday. The weather was too cold, so there weren't many tourists in the park, but the performances were still wonderful, and the animals were enthusiastic, as if they were also welcoming the New Year. We watched the 1 p.m. show at the Mountain of Beasts. On the way, we passed by the Alpaca Noodle House. My family of three ordered pork ribs with scallion oil noodles, mushroom and minced pork noodles, and a Nanxiang Xiaolongbao. The total cost was 101 yuan, which is quite cost-effective in the park. Of course, the taste was also very good. It is worth recommending 👍

1. The Grand Circus performance was fantastic

2. Wildlife areas have a wider variety of animals

By Walking Wood |

First of all, let’s talk about tickets. I still booked them online, which is very convenient and there are discounts.

Let's start with some miscellaneous stuff:

1. Transportation to the Wildlife Park: This is a little more troublesome. Take Subway Line 2, Subway Line 16, Wildlife Park Station (Exit 2), and then take Bus Huinan Route 6.

2. I have heard from people who have been there that the park is large and you must buy a ticket for the train. I remember it was 35 yuan per person. The train has several stops in the park and the conductor will give you a combined ticket. When you get off at a stop, the conductor will tear off the ticket for one stop. It is recommended that you buy this ticket if you are traveling with children or the elderly. Young people can just walk around. This is for reference only. It may also be because we often walk long distances, so we don’t feel tired.

3. There is a free bus to the wild animal area in the park. Just show your ticket and there will be free explanations on the bus. Of course, friends who are traveling by car can also drive in by themselves.

4. You can bring some food with you. Mobile payment is fully covered in the park, which is very convenient.

5. Be sure to take good sun protection measures. When the sun is strong in the park, it is very, very, very hot.

6: Be sure to wear a pair of comfortable shoes and clothes that are dirt-resistant and easy to move around in.

ps: You can’t get close to the little tiger at any time. It all depends on luck. We are lucky, haha.

By Frigidity Bread |

If you just wander around, you might get lost. Sitting by the zoo's riverbank, watching the various birds flutter and glide around, I felt that the environment here was relatively free and harmonious. The price was reasonable; I bought it online for around 79 yuan per person. I was able to capture so many beautiful sights, it was well worth it.

It turned out to be my first time to visit a zoo. I accompanied my kids on an autumn outing and it was much more fun than I imagined.

We saw animals like raccoons and gorillas. The staff fed the raccoons, so cute~

We also saw giant pandas and newborn Peanut, they were so adorable!

The circus performances are wonderful, and the animals are so smart, but they are also so cruel...

Penguins are so cute. If I had known there was a zoo, I wouldn’t have had to travel all the way to Australia to see Penguin Island!

The children loved watching the sea lion show and kept clapping. Miss Nana worked very hard!

Driving into the wild animal area was a bit scary. The tigers were so beautiful! My colleagues thought the sun bears were cute, but I thought they were too skinny. I still prefer the fat ones.

By Morning light |

I went there with my boyfriend's sister and her children. The zoo is so big and took a long time to walk around. There are many kinds of animals and the children were very happy.

By Mona Lychee 🍎 |

This was my second visit. Seeing the two giant pandas, Yueyue and Banban, was a pleasant surprise. It's a pity that many animals aren't outdoors in the winter, and the raccoon and lemur islands are closed. I'll be back in the spring.

It's fun to take the kids there and buy a lot of food so they can get close to the animals.
