The 100-story building features a sky tower, which is the highest observation deck in the world, surpassing the CN Tower in Canada, which holds the title of "world's highest observation deck."
Strolling up the 474-meter-high Sky Tower is like walking in the clouds. Overlooking Shanghai, you can take in the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River.
The glass roof of the 97th-floor sightseeing bridge can be opened. Once weather conditions permit, visitors can look up and see the blue sky and white clouds.

The Shanghai World Financial Center is a skyscraper located in Lujiazui, Shanghai, China. Completed on August 29, 2008, it stands 492 meters tall with 101 floors. It is currently the third tallest building in China and the tallest flat-topped building in the world. The developer is the Shanghai World Financial Center Co., Ltd., and construction began in 1995 under the leadership of Japan's Mori Building Corporation.
I came here mainly to take pictures of the night view of Shanghai, especially the Pearl Tower. But when I came back and took the pictures from my camera, I accidentally deleted them. I only took the pictures with my phone. Sigh, speechless.
The Shanghai Financial Center also offers the same gameplay where you go to the highest point and look down at the surroundings, and it also has a glass corridor.
It was my first time to Shanghai. I searched for travel guides and decided to go to Shanghai Tower. It was really shocking. The weather was very good when I went there. It drizzled in the evening. I saw the clouds and it really felt like I was in the clouds. Everything below was so small. I stayed there for a long time. It was just that the food and drinks were too expensive.
The Shanghai World Financial Center stands tall and straight at night
Standing tall in the Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone, the Shanghai World Financial Center is China's fourth tallest building, shaped like a bottle opener. From the 100th-floor observation deck, you can gaze directly at the spire of the Oriental Pearl Tower. Stepping onto the suspended observation corridor, you can gaze out across the Huangpu River through the transparent glass beneath your feet, feeling like walking among the clouds. The Shanghai World Financial Center stands 492 meters tall, with 101 floors above ground and six entrances. The shopping and dining areas on the second to third floors above ground are free of charge. Floors 7 through 77 are offices, and floors 79 through 93 house the Park Hyatt Hotel. Walk across the observation bridge and take the elevator to the 100th floor, or the other way around. Postcards can also be purchased and mailed on the 94th floor. The 100th floor, at 474 meters, was once the world's highest observation deck. Its most distinctive feature is the 55-meter-long suspended observation corridor, featuring three glass floors, providing a clear view of cars and pedestrians passing below. 97th Floor: Located at 439 meters, the open glass ceiling design here is very unique. When the weather is fine, the glass ceiling slides open to both sides, and the entire observation hall is like a "sky bridge" floating in the air.
The Shanghai World Financial Center is taller than the Oriental Pearl Tower, but you can't get a 360-degree view of Shanghai or take photos of the Huangpu River. The environment is nice, though it can be crowded during the Lunar New Year holiday, but everything is well-organized. Tickets are a bit more expensive than online.
The view from the 100th floor is good, better than other places. In fact, it is better to go when it is foggy or there are low clouds. The goldfish exhibition on the 94th floor is quite good and can be viewed during off-peak hours.
The main thing is to climb up, you can see the originally very tall Pearl Tower, and looking down from the sightseeing pavilion, I am still very scared.
The Jinmao Tower, the first of the three great buildings, was completed in 1999. It was once the tallest building in mainland China, with a height of 420.5 meters - the third tallest on the right.
The second building to be built, the Shanghai World Financial Center, was completed in 2008. Standing 492 meters tall with 101 floors, it is currently China's third tallest building (as of 2014) and the world's tallest flat-top building, though it has now been surpassed by the Shanghai Tower. The developer was the Shanghai World Financial Center Co., Ltd., and construction began in 1995 under the leadership of Japan's Mori Building Co., Ltd. — The second tallest building on the right.
After the completion of Shanghai Tower, the World Financial Center became the second tallest building in Shanghai. It is worth a visit.
This is higher than the Pearl Tower! Higher than the Pearl Tower! Higher than the Pearl Tower! I forgot how much the ticket cost, but it wasn't cheap. We waited in line for a while, and it was crowded in the evening, all for the night view. There's a direct elevator, and it's fast. It's said to be state-of-the-art, and my tinnitus proves it. Once we got up, we mainly walked around the lobby. There's a glass section under our feet, so we could see the road. The surrounding area is glass, so we could enjoy the night view.
The three giants of Lujiazui: bottle opener, egg beater, and syringe
The sand table in the World Financial Center can be viewed as a night scene.
I specially chose to come at dusk so that I could see the beautiful scenery of the city under the sunset and the night view. Haha, I really love Dabaiyun.
I don’t know how many times I had to talk to my mother before she dared to touch the glass and even look down. Later, when she found that she couldn’t fall, she became more and more courageous.
The Sada Jinkela database has been released. It's time to build Crusaders Jinkela. The Jinkela database has been released as soon as possible.
There's a Studio Ghibli exhibition going on at the Shanghai World Financial Center until October 7th. Ghibli fans should definitely check it out! The exhibition consists of two halls, one on the 4th floor and the other on the 94th floor! Tickets are NT$160, and entry is open until 9:30 PM. This way, you can enjoy the exhibition and the night view from the spacious halls without having to squeeze in with the crowds of tourists – a perfect combination.
Lujiazui Financial Center is currently the largest and most capital-intensive CBD in mainland my country. It is home to numerous high-rise buildings, including the Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, Indonesia Golden Land Tower, Bank of Shanghai Tower, Hopson International Tower, Ping An Finance Center, Jinmao Tower, Bank of China Tower, HSBC Tower, China Insurance Tower, China Merchants Tower, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank Tower, and China Securities Building.
The 100th floor of the Shanghai World Financial Center is 472 meters high, and you can overlook the night view of the Huangpu River from above.
Get free admission on your birthday, and bring a companion for half-price admission. Don't miss out!
There were many people waiting to take photos of the sunset, and they grabbed a good position early.
Before getting on the elevator, you will stay in a screening room for about five minutes to watch the history of the World Financial Center and its origins.
Full marks to the staff for their guidance!
There are dedicated guides in every area!
So don’t worry about going to the wrong place!
First time standing behind the glass!
My legs were a little weak at first, but as I walked more, they relaxed!
I feel a little scared, haha!
The night view of Shanghai is beautiful!
Panoramic view of the Bund!
On the 90th floor,
On the transition floor, continue up and take another elevator.
The service was excellent. It was a rare sunny day in Shanghai that day, and the scenery was particularly good at night. The elevator went 430 meters in 1 minute, and my ears only had a little reaction. I recommend it.
I went there for work and stayed for less than 3 hours. I didn't do much shopping, just looked at the surrounding scenery from the IFC building. It's a pity that I didn't have time to go to the Bund to see the night view. I will have more fun next time.
It's said to be one of the world's best. You can overlook the Oriental Pearl Tower. If it's your birthday, you can get free admission. The normal ticket price is ¥180 (94th, 97th, and 100th floors).
The famous bottle opener is higher than the Oriental Pearl Tower, but the view is not as good as the Oriental Pearl Tower.
The World Financial Center is free for tourists who have their birthdays. They can go directly to the 100th floor for free. Friends traveling with you can also enjoy special tickets for 100 yuan. We were very happy to go there.
After checking my ID, the staff gave me a free ticket. Birthdays aren't just for Shanghainese, but for everyone in the country, so I was really happy. With my free ticket in hand, the staff said happy birthday to me during security. There are several checkpoints here, each staffed by a different person. Since we were the only two people entering the hall that day, the staff served us individually. I have to say, the service here is excellent, and the staff are incredibly polite and well-trained.
Because the elevator was relatively empty, I recorded the speed of getting off the elevator. It was super fast and I like this feeling.
The 97th floor observation deck was foggy and visibility was limited, and since I was using a phone instead of a camera, the photos I took were poor. However, this did not hinder the prosperity and beauty of Shanghai.
There were a lot of people in the observation hall on the 100th floor. Everyone was looking forward to seeing Shanghai at night under the neon lights. The thick fog with low visibility somewhat hindered the beauty here. I don’t know if it was because of aesthetic fatigue or if this place is really a bit small. Compared with the Oriental Pearl Tower visited on the 1st, although the service here is better, the scenery on the Oriental Pearl Tower is more beautiful. If you have to choose one of the two, please choose the Pearl Tower.
The second tallest building in Shanghai, it offers a wide view of Pudong New Area and is one of the three tallest buildings in Pudong, along with the Shanghai Tower and Jinmao Tower.
I bought the ticket on China-TravelNote. The ticket price is 120 yuan, and birthday tickets are free. The elevator takes only one minute to go up to the 94th floor. It is very stable and there is no feeling of weightlessness or overweight. At the 94th floor, I took the escalator to the 97th and 100th floors.
The height is higher than that of the Oriental Pearl Tower, so you can overlook the Oriental Pearl Tower. Many people wait there at dusk to watch the Oriental Pearl Tower light up one section at a time.
There is also transparent glass here. To be honest, it is not terrible because you can't see anything. The bottom is not completely transparent, you can only see a little bit, and the glass is quite dirty.
The elevator reached the 94th floor, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows. However, due to the haze, the view was limited, and the scenery outside was completely white. There were sofas and benches near the windows for rest, and we found a corner in the farthest corner and took a few photos with a selfie stick. In the middle was a photo exhibition, and around the corner were souvenir booths.
From the 94th floor, we took the escalator to the 97th floor. A simple corridor formed the base of the corkscrew hole. The description said that on clear days, the glass ceiling would slide open, transforming the observation hall into a floating "sky bridge." However, there were no exterior decorations obscuring the view, so there was no need to stop. We simply queued for the 100th floor, just above the hole. The glass cutouts beneath our feet were a heart-pounding sight, and our first steps on them were a bit jarring. Near the windows, many tourists were already seated, cameras propped up, waiting to see the Bund's nightscape after dark. The area directly facing the Oriental Pearl Tower was cordoned off as a paid photo spot. We squeezed into a narrow window. Many professional photographers had taken off their clothes to cover their cameras, covering their heads to avoid reflections on the glass. Our amateur photographers were a bit overwhelmed.
It's a very nice building, I think it's worth going up to have a look.
I deliberately flew from Baoshan, Yunnan to Shanghai to see the city's sights. But I'm afraid of heights. When I got to the 100th floor of the Shanghai World Financial Center and looked down through the glass, my legs gave out. I stayed there for no more than three minutes, and then I could only view the scenery from the 94th and 97th floors. The staff there were very friendly. It was my first time in Shanghai, and it was beyond my imagination. I love this city and will definitely come back if I have the chance.
The building with blue lights at night is the Shanghai World Financial Center, one of the three tallest buildings. It is nicknamed the Bottle Opener, hahahaha, because there is a hole on the top of the building~
To make the trip worthwhile, we decisively swapped our group's tickets for the 94th floor for the top floor, the 100th floor, adding an extra NT$70 per person, or just over NT$10 per floor. Congratulations to the elites working in high-rises, you've earned it!
Business Wind and Cloud really likes this feeling of being high-end.
The Shanghai World Financial Center is not interesting to visit inside. It is better to view it from the Bund and the cruise ship.
The tallest building in Shanghai, really tall!!!
I went there in 2013. At that time, the observation deck of this building was the highest in the world. The tickets were a bit expensive, and the things sold in the observation deck were also super expensive. A Coke in the hall cost 3 yuan/2 yuan on land, but it became 30 yuan up there. Most of the people dining there were foreigners, and Chinese people really didn't dare to spend money. However, the scenery was quite good, and you could overlook the whole of Shanghai. It was also fun to watch the night view of Shanghai from up there.
By the time we arrived at the Shanghai World Financial Center, the lights were already gleaming and the neon lights were blazing. This skyscraper in Lujiazui is 492 meters tall, with 101 floors above ground. The 94th, 97th, and 100th floors are dedicated to sightseeing. The 100th floor's Skyloft, at 474 meters high, is a 55-meter-long suspended observation corridor, the world's tallest. It features three transparent glass floors, offering panoramic views of the Huangpu River.
Your summit ticket will record your climb and your number on the summit, making it a truly memorable experience. The 94th-floor observation hall, at 423 meters, offers not only panoramic views of both old and new Shanghai, but also hosts various exhibitions and events against the backdrop of the beautiful Huangpu River, offering a unique visual and auditory experience and unprecedented physical and mental excitement. A photography exhibition was on when we visited.
The 97th-floor sightseeing bridge is 439 meters high, like a bridge floating in the air. The glass curtain roof of this floor can be opened. Once weather conditions permit, tourists can directly see the blue sky and white clouds, which is also very nice.
The 100-story observation tower is 474 meters high and has the best view. From here, you can see the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River, overlooking the spire of the Oriental Pearl Tower, and the roof of the Jinmao Tower is right at your feet.
Although it was raining, there was a breeze, which blew away the thick fog. The dazzling night scene of Shanghai appeared before our eyes like magic, which was amazing. But unfortunately, the dazzling scene was fleeting. When the thick fog passed, it could no longer be dispelled.
It's high enough and worth climbing to see all the other buildings. The tower next to it is small and not well built. This is the tallest one. Jinmao is at your feet.
The night view is very good. I will add a few more photos another day. Haha. Important reminder: you can get a free ticket with your ID card on your birthday, and the accompanying person only needs 100 yuan for the ticket, which is super cost-effective.
The perfect place to enjoy the panoramic view! Advanced high-speed elevators! A must-see!
I won't talk about the crowds, the key point is that many attractions are deceptive. There are only a few transparent glass floors on the 100th floor, and you can't see the scenery, but the roofs of the floors below. The glass is also very dirty, there are many tour groups, and the elevator is fully enclosed. In short, don't go. The night view is okay, but there are so many people that you might as well go to the riverside to see it 😂😂😂
I passed by this place but didn't go in to see it due to time and other reasons.
There were many people queuing up at the door to buy tickets.
You can see it right from Lujiazui Station on Metro Line 2. It's really tall and impressive. Unfortunately, there was heavy fog that day, so I couldn't go up to see it, which was a pity.
The weather in Shanghai is so bad that you can never see the top. Will you be able to see it next time?
Landmark building! A great place! Worth a visit and sightseeing
The Shanghai World Financial Center is the second tallest building in the world, surpassing the Jin Mao Tower as the highest point in Shanghai and the fourth tallest building in China. Its shape has earned it the nickname "Bottle Opener" by the people of Shanghai. If you visit on your birthday, bring your ID and you'll get free admission.
Whenever there's a high place, I always climb it. When I visited in 2010, the kitchen set only had two of the three pieces. The view from the top of the World Financial Center overlooking Lujiazui and the Bund was truly stunning. The rooftop design of the Jinmao Center is certainly quite modern. Of course, the rooftop design of the World Financial Center itself has also sparked controversy due to its nickname, the "Saber Tower."
I originally wanted to go to the Oriental Pearl Tower, but ended up going to the Financial Center. But there was an unexpected surprise.
I climbed the Oriental Pearl Tower last year and the Shanghai Eye this year. The view was nice, but not exciting enough.
Pudong New Area, a super luxurious and modern place
On November 5th, I went on a business trip to Shanghai for 4 days, mainly in Qingpu District. During the period, I also went to the city for business. It has always been my dream to visit the Shanghai World Financial Center. I have always wanted to go. On the evening of November 6th, I went there with my friends. It happened that Ctrip was having a promotion for only 59 yuan. We arrived at the first-floor entrance of the sightseeing area at 5:30, and there were very few tourists. We reached the 100th floor sightseeing deck at 5:45. We originally arrived before sunset to see the beautiful scenery, but unfortunately the sky was gray, or the sun might have set. In short, it was a pity. However, the night view of Shanghai was still quite shocking. The Jinmao Tower was right at my feet, and I could see the Oriental Pearl Tower up close and Pudong in the distance. The endless city of Shanghai made me feel uneasy for a long time.
I was looking forward to seeing the Bund's night view from a high place, but it rained and the fog blocked the view. The glass was also dirty, so the view was not good. It would be better to see the view from the riverside.
As one of the three towering buildings in Pudong, the 492-meter Shanghai World Financial Center (nicknamed the Bottle Opener) has been surpassed by the 632-meter Shanghai Tower (nicknamed the Marshmallow), but it can still be considered a skyscraper.
We bought tickets for 94➕97➕100. In fact, the views are the same no matter where you go up. The view on the 100th floor is definitely the widest. 94 and 97 are restaurants and souvenir toilets. I think the view is average. The Bund is quite far away and not very beautiful. There is also a building in front that is too bright. No matter how I take pictures with my phone, they are backlit. It is better to see it from the Bund. It is also okay to go up and experience the transparent glass road and the height.
Worth a visit, very good, very good! @! ! ! !
I had a bad impression of Shanghai overall. I couldn't get a taxi, and the people seemed quite exclusive. It was very tiring to travel.
One of the attractions for a one-day tour with a local guide. The Sabre offers free admission every year on your birthday. If you are lucky, you can even go to the top sightseeing floor. It also depends on the weather.
There are still many photography enthusiasts waiting for the sunset in the sightseeing hall
It's getting dark, night is about to fall
Lights come on
The top of the Jinmao Tower in front of me emits golden light, like a palace
At 7 o'clock in the evening, the lights of the buildings in Lujiazui and the lights of the Bund on the opposite bank light up one after another, entering the golden fifteen minutes for night photography.
Before I went, I heard that the Oriental Pearl Tower would require a three-hour queue, so I decisively chose the Financial Center. It seems to be the world's highest observation deck, overlooking the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Jinmao Tower. If you go by yourself, you don't have to queue to enter. People with birthdays can enter for free. What a pity I didn't know that it was my birthday the day before I went.
I bought an annual pass when I went there for the first time. After that, every time I went to Shanghai, I would go up there to see the scenery. It was a different kind of scenery and a different kind of mood.
To be honest, it's not worth the ticket price at all... I saw it all at once
The night view is truly amazing! But is it worth spending over a hundred dollars just to see it for over an hour? I'm actually quite skeptical. Also, anyone thinking of going up, be careful: don't buy tickets online. This ticketing center only works with Ctrip and Lvmama; they won't accept any other tickets. We bought our tickets online on Qunar.com, but when we went to the ticketing center to verify and pick them up, we were told they couldn't be used. Luckily, we could get a refund.
The 100th floor visit is quite nice for those who have never looked down at a city from a high altitude. The photos taken when the air is clear are very beautiful.
The highest observation hall is 474 meters high, and the night view is superb and worth the price of admission.
The World Financial Center is my favorite attraction in Shanghai, no doubt about it!
As for the attraction itself, the viewing corridor on the 100th floor has a superb view, offering a panoramic view of Lujiazui, the Huangpu River, the Bund and even the entire Pudong and Puxi areas. On the 100th floor, I met Shanghai's photography enthusiasts, all lined up with their cameras and cameras. It shows that great minds think alike!
In terms of service, it is very user-friendly. The service staff will explain in detail on each floor where the tourists are currently in the World Financial Center, and they will patiently answer any questions about related tourism. And because the publicity here is far less than that of the Oriental Pearl Tower, the number of visitors is relatively small. You can reach the viewing platform directly without waiting, and you will not be disturbed by other people while sightseeing. The quality of the tour is very high!
When I brave the storm and still keep moving forward
After climbing to the 100th floor of the Shanghai World Financial Center in a panic, I saw the sea of clouds in front of me, which looked like a fairyland. All I wanted to say was, "Hello, Shanghai."
My umbrella was still dripping with water, but my heart was filled with joy. I was incredibly grateful that I didn't let the downpour stop me from moving forward, and I was incredibly glad that I didn't miss the sky city before me! This kind of beauty is nature's most generous gift to those who brave the rain!

Well... I still recommend going in the evening... you can see the scenery during the day and at night!
Dark, dark, dark... the bustling metropolis of night is instantly revealed. Even before it gets dark, people are already setting up their tripods and waiting to take photos at Huanjin. So if you want to take photos, you'll need to go early, otherwise it'll be crowded and difficult to find a spot! There are also paid photography services, so if you're interested, check out the link!
We think Shanghai's CBD is so impressive! We think the people who work there are so impressive. But standing beneath the buildings of Lujiazui, I suddenly feel so insignificant. Even the buildings right before my eyes seem so far away. This is a truly modern metropolis, the Magic City, Shanghai.
The building had a bit of a haunted house vibe to it... but... the toilets were all smart toilets... really high-end. I bought the tickets online through a group buy, which gave me access to all three floors: 97, 99, and 100... I went there for the night view, and it was truly breathtaking!
The decorations on the underground first floor while waiting for the elevator are very cool, and there are LED lights above your head showing the number of meters the elevator is in. It is worth recording the lighting effects inside the elevator from the -1 floor to the 94th floor. The LED lights gradually change from the initial black to the blue of the sky, which is very beautiful. There is no such effect when you go down. The highlight is of course the 100th floor. The views from the 94th and 97th floors are not particularly good, as there is some obstruction, and most of the 94th floor is an art exhibition. When you come down from the 100th floor, you will find that you will not stay on both floors. The 100th floor is still very cool. You can look straight at the Oriental Pearl Tower and watch Shanghai on both sides of the observation corridor. I guess the circular observation deck will be the most perfect after the Shanghai Tower opens. Let me share my experience of shooting the Oriental Pearl Tower at night. Be sure to focus the camera on the top of the Jinmao Tower. The top of the Jinmao Tower is too bright. If you want to combine shooting people with the beautiful night scenery, be sure to fill in the light for the people (use another mobile phone flashlight to shoot the people)
The Universal Building is my favorite of the three; its aesthetic is unmatched. Its sharp, straight lines, accented by a tech-inspired blue, create a sleek, modern design. Its clean, minimalist lines, devoid of extraneous ornamentation or whimsical, distorted designs, are unconventional and highly visual. Its highest observation deck reaches 474 meters, fully utilizing its height. Its interior practicality has also been highly praised, making it a significant example of contemporary architecture. At night, it blends seamlessly into the nightscape, not completely fading into darkness but rather conveying a sense of fortitude and courage. It seamlessly blends in with the other two buildings, their glass curtain walls illuminating each other. Even Shanghai's aerial landscape reveals a strong sense of unfinished urbanism, with a patchwork of heights lacking any regularity or whimsical design, making it difficult to achieve a coherent and harmonious overall design. This is what we might call a lack of aesthetic appeal.
It's so impressive! If you're working in or studying finance, this is a true mecca. Looking at all those famous skyscrapers makes my heart leap! It truly deserves to be China's financial center.
The most luxurious and expensive area, it is recommended to be reached by public transportation.
Buy your ticket online for 115 and pick it up with your ID card, which is quick and convenient. After picking up your ticket, you'll be guided to the elevator to the highest floor, 474 meters. You can go up to watch the sunset and then wait for the Bund to light up, taking in the panoramic night view of Shanghai.
The building on the left, the Shanghai World Financial Center, was completed in 2008. It stands 492 meters tall with 101 floors above ground. The Sky Tower is on the 100th floor and is 474 meters high. Because of Japanese investment, the building was once known as the "Saber Tower." It's now known as the "bottle opener," one of the three kitchen treasures.
The discounted tickets I bought on China-TravelNote saved me a lot more than I did on the spot, and the ticket exchange process was also quite convenient. All of these were good, and the visit was quite good. It felt great to be on a high building, and I could enjoy the night view. The photos I took with my phone weren't particularly clear, but overall I had a lot of fun and was very satisfied.
The Shanghai World Financial Center is a skyscraper located in Lujiazui, Shanghai, China. Completed on August 29, 2008, it stands 492 meters tall with 101 floors. It is currently the third tallest building in China (as of 2018) and the tallest flat-top building in the world. The developer is the Shanghai World Financial Center Co., Ltd., and construction began in 1995 under the leadership of Japan's Mori Building Co., Ltd.
