The most distinctive feature is the quirky and dog-themed graffiti on the walls, which makes for a perfect photo backdrop, haha, and really elevates your photos. It's worth mentioning that there's a China Post mailbox on Tianai Road. It's said that every letter posted there receives a unique heart-shaped postmark, so if you enjoy a bit of ceremony, give it a try. Coincidentally, we arrived at the mailbox at 3:55 PM, the exact time the mail handler would arrive to collect the mail.

PS

❗Tianai Road is relatively close to Duolun Road, so you can arrange to visit them together. There is also a Luxun Park not far away, so if you have enough time, you can also go for a walk in the park.

Tian'ai Road is known as Shanghai's most romantic street. I've been there many times and witnessed countless couples walking hand in hand. It's so sweet, I almost want to smother me with dog food... Anyway, back to the point: Tian'ai Road is a relatively quiet, approximately 520-meter-long street, littered with love poems and letters.

By Wang cute HHH |

The walls on both sides of the road feature stories about the origins of the road's name, along with some interesting stories and graffiti. It's said there are some charming little shops along the road, but most were under renovation when I visited, so I couldn't find a place to relax and have a cup of coffee. If you're short on time, you can skip this spot; it's nothing special, but it's a great place for some photos.

Known as the "most romantic" road in Shanghai, it has a "Love Wall" on both sides of the road, composed of 28 famous love poems from China and abroad. There is also a love mailbox at the intersection, and every letter posted from here will be stamped with an English love stamp (I haven't tried it hahaha).

An old alley where fashion and history intertwine. Walking through the maze-like alley, you can see specialty shops and various art workshops everywhere. There are open-air restaurants/cafes, galleries, handicraft shops, etc. in the alley, as well as various interesting creative studios. You can find a favorite store to browse, or find a restaurant or cafe to sit down and slowly experience the alley culture.

Internet celebrity check-in spot is also a beautiful landscape for young couples to come to this romantic place

Sweet Love Road lives up to its name. It's recommended for couples and friends, or even those who feel hungry. The entire 520-meter route is enough for a single person in 20 minutes, and couples can enjoy it for an hour. I tried to take a photo near a red brick wall, but it was filled with photos of couples, inscriptions, and displays of affection. I gave up without hesitation, truly worthy of the name Sweet Love Road.

It is said that this is a place where many young couples come. It is actually just a road, which is quite romantic. We went there at night and there were not many people. It was good that way, as it prevented a single dog like me from being hit by 10,000 points of critical strike.

By Strawberry Field Wine Heart |

The road is neither wide nor long, but it is shaded by green trees, and the walls are covered with poems and excerpts from articles about love.

Tianai Road is a petty bourgeoisie road in Shanghai.

Suitable for taking pictures and strolling for an afternoon. It is a good place to go in autumn.

I'm back at the world-famous Tianai Road in Shanghai. It still has the same flavor as before, but I feel like there are fewer graffiti. Graffiti should be encouraged on local streets.

By She |

Sweet Love Road is not so sweet, the graffiti paintings have disappeared.

While waiting for my son, I went to Tianai Road in Hongkou District. I walked back and forth twice but couldn't find the graffiti wall. After asking the residents, I found out that it was right in front of me, but it had been erased. The only thing left on the entire Tianai Road was the Love Wall covered with "love poems" and Tianai Coffee.

Tianai Road is a road I have always wanted to check in. Maybe it’s because of its nice name. It feels like the whole street is filled with a sweet atmosphere.

Actually, the only sweet things are those two shops. The road is still the same.

Tianai Road is only 600 meters long. On both sides of the road, wooden frames are placed every two meters, engraved with 28 famous Chinese and foreign love poems, forming a "Wall of Love." Graffiti also covers the walls along the street.

Bad review... There's a lot of graffiti online, but there isn't much. Just some love notes and some graffiti on the sides of the road. Not recommended.

A popular check-in spot, there is a love mailbox at the intersection. Every letter posted from this love mailbox will be stamped with an English love stamp.

You can take Metro Line 10, get off at Sichuan North Road Station, and then ride a shared bicycle and follow the navigation to find it.

Tianai Road is a relatively distinctive street in Shanghai. There are many graffiti and love poems on the walls of the street. There is a love mailbox at the corner of the street. Tianai Road is just a street, not much different from other streets in Shanghai. If you are short on time, I recommend not going there.

By The Cat Who Taught Seagulls to Fly |

This newly emerging cultural landmark may look ordinary, but it's still a popular spot for arty young people! However, every time I visit these love-related places, I always encounter renovations! When I got to Tianai Road, thankfully, it was only the exterior that was being renovated!

By DrZou |

I was looking forward to it before I went there, but after I finished, I didn't feel it was very short. There were graffiti on the walls of the block where you could pose for photos.

Tianai Road, I like the graffiti-like streets, very artistic

Tian'ai Road is a must-visit for couples! This short road features "Love Walls" on both sides, inscribed with 28 Chinese and international love poems. From "Jiang Jia" to "Phoenix Seeking the Phoenix," from Plato to Yeats's "When You Are Old" to Neruda's "I Like You to Be Silent," each poem tells a story. The architecture surrounding Tian'ai Road is also beautiful, and there are many deserted alleyways, all perfect for photoshoots. There's also a "Love Mailbox" where every letter sent from here is stamped with a love stamp.

I really don't recommend coming here. I didn't feel the taste of love at all. There is a road sign and two small shops. This is Tianai Road. There is a two-story Tianaifang near Luxun Park that is being renovated and recruited. It seems that it is going to be built into another Tianzifang. This is my feeling.

By Jingahaha |

The quieter side has graffiti on the exterior wall and the other side has classic love quotes from celebrities.

By Jenny |

This short road has many poems praising love hung on both sides, making it a great place for couples to hang out. Letters sent from here will have a special postmark.

By Ma Xiaosa |

I saw this place mentioned as a good place to take photos, but when we went there we didn't see any old buildings or special streets. It's just next to Luxun Park. I wonder if we didn't find the right place.

Although Tianai Road is just an ordinary road with some murals on the walls, I still like it very much. When I read the travel guide before, I felt that it would be very happy even if I walked hand in hand with my boyfriend on that road.

By Slowly returning to the road |

It is very close to the Duolun Road Cultural Celebrity Street. It is a very short street that can be walked through in a few minutes. While walking, I met a group of people who should be tour groups sending postcards.

This is a quiet little street, known as Shanghai's most romantic. It's only about 600 meters long. At the intersection, there's a special love mailbox. Every letter posted from this mailbox is stamped with a love stamp, making it a truly romantic way to send a postcard to your loved one. The stamping area is located in the guardhouse at 1338 Liyang Road. Getting there: Take Metro Line 3 to Hongkou Stadium, then walk east along Sichuan North Road.

It is also great to read the poems on the wall alone on the quiet streets.

In the Shanyin Road area of Hongkou District, Shanghai, there's a small road running parallel to Shanyin Road called Tianai Road. Tianai Road is truly a place for couples to relax and play, and many love stories have been paved along it. A "Love Wall" adorns the road, featuring 28 famous Chinese and international love poems. Couples walking hand in hand often recite the romantic verses on the wall. Love Road, the sweetness of love. If you weren't drawn to it, you might not even notice the small fork off the bustling Sichuan North Road, marked by the sign "Tianai Road." Tianai Road, for decades the "most romantic street" enjoyed by Shanghainese, retains its alluring charm. Just a few hundred meters long and a few dozen feet wide, this one-way street offers couples a leisurely stroll hand in hand along the red "Love Wall," enjoying this rare tranquility in the city. Tall Metasequoia trees line the roadside. A sign reading "Do Not Disturb, This is a Residential Residence" appears on the door of an old-style house, drawing a knowing smile from both of them. If it weren't for the passing bus, the tranquility here would remain unbroken. A fleeting glimpse on this quiet street could be the beginning of a love affair. This stretch of road, known as Sweet Love, has welcomed countless happy couples, witnessing the simplest and sweetest moments of love. The sweet, tender affection and the sweet, sweet words of the Wu dialect have been passed down through the city and even here. The poignant love stories of Eileen Chang are quietly read, passed down through the generations. Sweet Love Road is truly a tranquil and enjoyable path. It's short, so if you're not in a hurry and have plenty of time, you can spare an hour to stroll along and visit a shop. Aside from the road and the mailboxes, there's nothing special about Sweet Love Road. If you prefer a bustling atmosphere, you might want to skip it. It feels like the hutongs of Beijing and the alleys of Shanghai, similar to Nanluoguxiang in Beijing, but with a distinctly Shanghai feel.

By _Mengrui |

Turn right from Duolun Road and walk 50 meters to the entrance of Tianai Road, known as Shanghai's "most romantic" street. At the intersection stands a special love mailbox (Love Mailbox). Every letter posted through this mailbox receives a postmark with the English word "love" at the bottom. The stamp depicts a red heart with "Tianai Road" written on the bottom. It's both short and long. The postmark was placed somewhere else, so we found a coffee shop at the intersection and paid them to do it for us. A "Love Wall" featuring 28 famous Chinese and international love poems adorned the road, giving this romantic street a new, sweet atmosphere in 2009. Its unique tranquility and soothing atmosphere permeate this area, earning it the nickname "Shanghai's most romantic street." The sunken coffee shop at the intersection has a retro 1960s and 1970s feel. It was already 4 p.m., so we decided to grab lunch there! The coffee, salad and pasta are super good, but of course a little expensive. The 1933 Laochangfang was originally the slaughterhouse of the Shanghai Municipal Council. It was converted into a creative industry cluster. The building has a typical Baroque architectural style and a unique spatial layout. The square factory area formed by four buildings in the east, south, west and north is connected to the 24-sided main building in the middle by stairs. The whole building is staggered in height, with winding corridors. The design is precise and like a maze, but it is well-ordered.

Tianai Road is located on the southeast corner of Luxun Park. At the south entrance of Tianai Road, there's a special love mailbox. It's said that every letter posted through the mailbox will be stamped with an English "love" stamp, allowing the recipient to experience a sense of love and romance through this stamp, keeping it as a lasting memento and treasure. A "Love Wall" composed of 28 famous Chinese and international love poems lines both sides of Tianai Road. It's also known as Shanghai's most romantic street. Just west of the south entrance of Tianai Road is Duolun Road, a street of cultural celebrities. In the early 20th century, Duolun Road was a desolate and remote riverbank in Shanghai's Baoshan County.

Tianai Road is really just a road. The legend about it—"Shanghai's most romantic road"—seems to be due to a celebrity's popular mailbox. But this butterfly is even more eye-catching. It's just been trampled down to its current state over time. An entire wall of Tianai Road is covered in graffiti—a walking art form, amazing! The European-style house across the way is stunning in the sun. A sweet little shop, except it's closed. Across from the graffiti wall are ancient poems, mostly about love. It must be wonderful to visit with your loved one. I walked along the road for ages, with no end in sight. I couldn't find the postcard I wanted to send. Tianai Road is different than I imagined. Perhaps that's the true meaning of travel—experiencing the beauty of the unknown.

It is a must-visit place for young couples. It is very romantic to look at the famous love poems from ancient and modern times, both at home and abroad, on the wall and stroll under the parasol trees.

Judging from the name, this place seems very bourgeois. There are some small shops on the street, which are quite interesting. The most famous one is a mailbox!

I chose this place because it's a quiet spot amidst the hustle and bustle. It's right next to Luxun Park, and it's said that it connects to Duolun Road to the south, where literati like Lu Xun and Qu Qiubai once lived. The name Tianai itself has a straightforward romantic feel (a great place for flirting, haha).

Legend has it that this is the most romantic road in Shanghai. Twenty-eight Chinese and foreign love poems line its sides, giving it a sweet aura. It's a quiet path, so quiet that if it weren't for the clothes drying outside, you'd think it was uninhabited. I stopped by a newsstand and bought a map. Luxun Park is located on Tianai Road, and I visited the Luxun Memorial Hall there. I wonder if the literary giant whose life we all remember from middle school textbooks has faded with time away from school. This discovery was actually an unexpected one. While perusing the love poems on Tianai Road, I stumbled upon Luxun Park and the memorial hall there. The visit was truly awe-inspiring.

It's just a road, very close to the Duolun Road Cultural Celebrity. Suitable for lovers to come together. Nothing too special.

By The Secret of Breathing |

Strolling along Tianai Road, you can see many poems and famous quotes about love that you read when you were reading. You can find a lover to walk around with and look at the plane trees. This road is very quiet, with fewer cars and people. You feel very peaceful walking on it. Now there are more dessert shops and graffiti on the road, which makes it more and more interesting. There are also many Shanghai snacks in the alleys that you can try. The coffee shops are also very tasteful and the environment is very good. It is very suitable for eating, drinking and daydreaming.

Arriving at Tianai Road, the plane trees on both sides of the road would be extremely romantic if you come here in autumn. At the end of the road is the love mailbox that has received high praise on Xiaofeng. Love-loving friends can go there to stamp a love stamp and mail their love from here.

I live on Tianai Road, a one-way street.

Because of its name, it has become a tourist attraction in the hearts of young people in the city.

Several years ago, the government created a cultural street and painted some love poems on the walls on both sides of the road. The postbox near the intersection of Sichuan North Road was also designed accordingly.

The Tianai Road postmark has also become a souvenir.

I just like the path under the shade of the trees, and feel the sweetness and satisfaction of the lovers passing by from time to time.

By TOM |

Tianai Road intersects with Sichuan North Road. It is not far from Duolun Road Celebrity Cultural Street. There is a love mailbox at the intersection where you can send your thoughts and sweetness. It is also not far from Luxun Park. If you have enough time, you can visit the Luxun Memorial Hall in the park. The park is open until 18:00. The environment in the park is beautiful, with small bridges and flowing water, which is breathtakingly beautiful. After passing Tianai Road, you can take a break here, breathe the fresh air, and feel the fragrance and beauty of nature.

There's a Tianai Road on the east side of Luxun Park, just a few hundred meters long! It's the most romantic road in Shanghai. I've been there a few times. Tianai Road, a place steeped in romantic love stories, is a perfect choice for couples. While enjoying the sweetness of Tianai Road, you can also visit Luxun Park and the Luxun Museum to immerse yourself in the spirit of Lu Xun and cultivate your own sentiments. Tian'ai Road in Shanghai's Hongkou District is a narrow, 13-meter-wide, 520-meter-long path. At first glance, it looks ordinary, with the traffic making it a bit noisy. Walking slowly from end to end takes no more than seven or eight minutes. However, it's a romantic road steeped in legendary love stories. It's said that Lu Xun and his wife often strolled here. At the intersection, there's a love mailbox. Every letter dropped into this mailbox receives a stamped "love" in English, allowing the recipient to experience a sense of love and romance, a permanent keepsake. In May 1984, poet Zhang Ye wrote the poem "Cars Passing Tian'ai Road." Walking along Tian'ai Road brings different emotions and reflections. Couples hope their love journey will be as sweet and smooth as the one they experience on Tian'ai Road. After walking along Tian'ai Road, explore the nearby Duolun Road Cultural Celebrity Street or visit Luxun Park next door. Recently, nine large-scale works, completed over three months, were displayed on a roughly 150-meter-long graffiti wall, captivating visitors along this path of love. Going forward, the wall will be updated quarterly. According to news reports, the wall was recently vandalized late at night, specifically the Year of the Monkey artwork.

Transportation: Take bus No. 47, 848, 962, etc. and get off at Shanyin Road; or take Metro Line 3 or 8 to Hongkou Football Stadium Station and walk there.
