Xiannairi

Xiannairi Snow Peak, which means "Buddha of Guanshi World" in Tibetan, is 6032 meters above sea level. It is the northern peak of the three sacred mountains in Daocheng and the one with the highest altitude among the three sacred mountains. It looks like Guanyin Bodhisattva is coming on a cloud with a treasure bottle in hand, sitting on a lotus platform. The Zhuoma Lacuo Holy Lake at the foot of Xiannairi reflects the silhouette of the sacred mountain, floating white clouds and colorful vegetation on the calm lake surface. The beautiful scenery and the reflection are integrated into one, presenting a colorful world that is fascinating.

On the way up the mountain, the bus will stop in front of the viewing platform of Xiannairi Mountain for ten minutes to take photos for tourists. This is the first of the three sacred mountains that appears in our field of vision, and it can be called the gateway to Aden. The two side seams on the left and right guard the main peak in the middle, which makes me think of it very much like the Chinese character "山". The ancients' creation of characters is really vivid. The top of Xiannairi is trapezoidal, which is obviously different from the pointed Yangmaiyong and Xianuoduoji.

Xiannairi stands behind this hillside. Although there is no colorful forest now, the light and dark changes of the plants under the sunlight also show rich colors.

When I was going down the mountain, I could see Xiannairi when I looked up. He was looking at me like a god. In that environment, I couldn't help but feel awe. In an instant, I understood why Tibetans call it a sacred mountain. In front of it, human beings are so weak. It seems that as long as he gets angry, the people under the mountain will suffer unbearable disasters. How can it not make people fear and admire him?

There are three snow-capped peaks in Daocheng Yading Scenic Area, which are not far from each other and arranged in the shape of a Chinese character "品": the east peak, Xianuo Duoji, the south peak, Yangmaiyong, and the north peak, Xiannairi. The three snow-capped peaks are white and steep, like sharp swords piercing the sky. Xiannairi is like a giant Buddha, sitting proudly; Yangmaiyong is like a girl, quiet and dignified, pure and innocent; Xialang Duoji is like a boy, strong and resolute, and full of energy. There are more than 30 horn peaks around the snow peaks, large and small, with various shapes and spectacular.

The Tibetan word for it means "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva". It is the northern peak among the three sacred mountains, with an altitude of 6,032 meters. It is the highest peak in Daocheng County and the fifth highest peak in Sichuan Province.

It was almost evening when we arrived at Aden Village. We sprinted a small loop before nightfall. Although the clouds were thick and the sky was not clear, fortunately the scenery was not as good as we expected.

The pearl sea formed by the melting snow on the day of Xiannairi is probably the emerald beads dropped by the goddess from heaven to the human world.

The Aden scenic area is very maturely developed. The weather was not very good on our first day of the long route, and we were blown by wind and snow when we arrived at the Milk Sea. The weather was very good on the second day when we took the short route.

The horse caravans in the scenic area are a bit of a detriment to the scenery. They run around recklessly and bully tourists, and the whole place is stinking of horse manure.

This time, I was able to see not only Xianuoduoji, but also the whole view of Xiannairi. The beauty of this sacred mountain cannot be described in words.

We came here just to see the true face of the snow-capped mountains, even if it was just a side view.

One of the three sacred mountains in Aden, it is also covered with snow all year round. There is a Pearl Sea below, the scenery is pretty good, but the facilities are very ordinary.

It should be noted that on the way to Pearl Sea, there will be a small lake where you can see the bottom of the water, but this is not the Pearl Sea. Walk past this small lake, turn right and walk about 100 meters, there will be a larger and deeper lake. That is the Pearl Sea and it is also the best place to photograph the reflection of Xiannairi.

The top of the main peak of Xiannairi stretches out in a row, like the lotus seat of the Buddha. The snow-capped mountain top is connected to the clouds and mist, full of fairy spirit. The peak on the right side of the main peak is shaped like a pyramid, which symbolizes the White Tara in Tibetan Buddhism and the peak on the right side symbolizing the Green Tara accompanying the "Guanyin". We set out from Chonggu Temple and walked along the upward plank road to the foot of the mountain, stopping in front of a round tower full of prayer flags. A giant tree with dead branches fell in the middle of the forest meadow, contrasting with the snow-capped mountains and the prayer flag tower to form a vicissitudes of life.

The Xiannairi Observation Deck is a highland with a platform built. From there, the entire Xiannairi Snow Peak can be seen at a glance. Our location is about 4100+ meters above sea level, with a drop of 2000 meters from the top of the mountain. A steep 2000-meter giant peak stands in front of us, which is far more shocking than imagined. It was the first time to get so close to a thousand-year-old snow mountain, and it felt unreal.

Xiannairi is the most accessible of the three sacred mountains. It is majestic and beautiful.

All the way up, the Xiannairi Snow Mountain gradually gets closer, bigger, and fresher. This close-up visual experience cannot be compared with the distant view, it is truly shocking.

Unlike Yangmaiyong, which is connected by sharp peaks, Xiannairi looks very gentle, and even the Pearl Sea at its feet is tranquil blue waves. Although the Xiannairi Observation Deck is close, it is obstructed and the picture is relatively simple.

Walk up from Chonggu Temple for about one kilometer and you will reach the Pearl Sea. At this time, the sacred mountain Xiannairi is right in front of you, as if you can touch it. The sacred mountain Xiannairi under the sun is very spectacular.

Most tourists will take an electric car from the ancient grassland to Luolong Ranch.

Tips: The battery car (one-way/round trip 50/80 yuan) takes about 10 minutes. If you have enough time and energy, you can also take two hours for a one-way trip, and the upward route is better. The plank road has beautiful scenery and many rest and photography spots.

Personal experience: Long-distance hiking really consumes physical strength and tests one's willpower! It took me more than eight hours to hike back and forth! And I walked quite fast. There are no toilets along the way (I had to hide in the woods to solve the problem in a hurry);

Moreover, the mountain road is difficult to walk on. It is a relatively primitive mountain road with no stairs, which is more strenuous. In addition, there is no place to sell food and water along the way, so you need to prepare them yourself. It is recommended to bring a bottle of oxygen, because as you go up the altitude and exercise, it is easy to suffer from altitude sickness and hypoxia! Bring enough food and water! If the food is too heavy, you can eat more at Luolong Cow Farm to reduce the burden and replenish your energy to climb up.

When you climb to the Five-Colored Lake and the Milky Lake, pay attention to the time. You must start to go down the mountain at 4-5 pm at the latest. Otherwise, the road will be more difficult to walk after dark because there are no street lights, and the sightseeing bus returning to the tourist center will not be there if it is too late!

When looking up at Xiannairi, perhaps the most eye-catching thing is not the snow-capped main peak, but the pyramid-shaped mountain next to it, which is the legendary incarnation of White Tara, and Zhuoma Lacuo is the soul lake of White Tara.

The whole body is drenched in noble temperament. There is heavy fog on the top of the mountain, and the full view of the Buddha statue of Xiannairi cannot be seen.

The stream at the foot of the mountain is gurgling and the water is green and boundless. It is said that it has been flowing down from the snow-capped mountains for years.

There are many hares and deer in the mountain stream, but we see more squirrels. The squirrels here are not afraid of strangers, as long as there is food, they will run to you at any time to ask for food.

The end of the Xiannairi Scenic Area, there is no trail ahead. This is also the best place to see Xiannairi up close ~ Pearl Sea is at the foot of Xiannairi Mountain.

You may not have heard of James Hilton or seen Lost Horizon, but you must have heard of Shangri-La. Climb up the stairs from Chonggu Temple and get closer to the sacred mountain of Xiannairi.

The clouds and mists have cleared, revealing the true appearance of the sacred mountain of Xiannairi. Every year, a large number of Tibetans come here to circumambulate the mountain, bowing every three steps and measuring their body length. For them, circumambulating the mountain without fear of hardships and sufferings is based on faith.

In Yading Village, I was lucky enough to be able to take photos of the golden mountain in the early August rainy season. Maybe it was because I climbed up the mountain through the rainforest that day that I moved Guanyin Bodhisattva. It was so beautiful!

The location where I took the photo was originally a viewing platform of Mount Sennariri, but the driver did not stop, saying that the fog was too thick to see Sennariri. Alas, the sea of ​​clouds is also a beautiful scenery. It is even more rare to see Mount Kinabalu surrounded by the sea of ​​clouds. You don’t have to see the naked Mount Kinabalu. My heart is also very tired.

The snow-capped mountains you see every 4 hours on the mountain are aesthetically tiring.

There are three snow-capped mountains located in three directions of Aden. Each snow-capped mountain has its own unique charm. Unfortunately, I am ashamed to say that I forgot which sacred mountain it corresponded to after taking the photos (I was guessing in every photo - it might be Xiannairi, Xianuoduoji, or Yangmaiyong...) Words cannot describe the shock that seeing the snow-capped mountains up close brought me. Photos may be more intuitive.

Sennori

It is one of the sacred mountains of Daocheng Yading and is known as the "Guanyin Bodhisattva". It is a sacred mountain revered by local Tibetans and even the entire Tibetan area. Its characteristics can be seen from its appearance. There is another triangle within the triangle. Such a peak shape is rare among snow-capped mountains and is very suitable for photography. Below the Xiannairi sacred mountain is a turquoise holy lake [Pearl Sea]. They echo each other and love each other. You can easily see the appearance of the two in many promotional photos of Daocheng Yading.

Lamenting the last pure land on earth

I can't describe how amazing I was when I first saw Xiannairi. Its beauty has left a deep impression on me. The bad altitude sickness made my brain a little dizzy, but the beautiful scenery immediately injected me with endless energy, maybe because of its "sacred mountain" attribute!

Xiannairi is located in Daocheng Yading Scenic Area. Although the ticket price is relatively high (150 tickets + 120 sightseeing bus), it is definitely worth the trip.

Since we arrived in the afternoon, we could no longer see the reflection of the Sunrise, which was a bit disappointing. If you want to take pictures of the reflection, you'd better arrive before 9:00 am.

The Xiannairi Sacred Mountain, which is 6,032 meters above sea level, made me a little excited when I first saw it.

Going up along the way, there is a small river. There are many such murals, very beautiful. The water flow photographed with slow shutter speed is Zhuoma Lacuo, and the mountain covered by clouds above is Xiannairi. The weather is bad, so you can only imagine it, hahaha. We stayed for a while and then left. We didn’t see the "pearls", that is, the shimmering phenomenon on the lake. The magnificent Chonggu Temple. The windows of Chonggu Temple with yellow cloth strips seem to be unique to the Yellow Sect in Tibet. I have only heard about it. When I came back, I walked on the plank road below the bus stop, because I took the shuttle bus in on the first day and didn’t have time to see it. I went back today and took a few more photos. I feel guilty about the turquoise water because I saw many people taking pictures here, so I stepped on the grass. I’m sorry. Looking from a distance, I took some scenery of Aden behind Chonggu Temple. Every corner is beautiful around noon.
