This temple is the only place I have ever seen where you can take photos. By the way, the gate of Tashilhunpo Monastery is the same as that of Palkor Monastery, but a little wider than that of Palkor Monastery. I don't remember whether the Sakyamuni Buddha statue is a clay sculpture or a wood carving. The blue hairstyle left a deep impression on me. Sometimes luck is not always so good. The Hundred Thousand Buddha Pagoda is under repair and the visit is closed. Curious, we still peeked inside. There is still a part of the upper part that can be visited. Some Buddhas look peaceful. Some Buddhas are also very cute. Please forgive my shallow knowledge. In fact, we hired a tour guide, but many of the tour guide's answers were nonsense. There are side windows at a high place in the Three Buddha Hall, and the sunlight shines directly on the thangkas and Buddha statues in the hall. It is in sharp contrast with other dark places in the hall. It makes people feel awe.

Baiju Temple is surrounded by mountains on three sides and built against the mountain. What is unique is that a Great Wall-like wall was built on the mountain, which naturally reminds people of the defensive function it was given when it was built.

Enter the temple gate, follow the Tibetans as they turn the prayer wheels and walk inside to see the temple's architectural layout. Baiju Temple is a typical Tibetan Buddhist temple building that combines a pagoda and a temple. The temple and the pagoda are naturally integrated, and the pagoda and the temple complement each other.

Almost all temples in Tibet prohibit taking photos inside the Buddhist temples, but at the door of the Coqen Hall there are big words written "50 yuan for photography inside the hall". Since you can't hear the explanation, taking some photos openly will be a very good unexpected gain.

When you arrive in Gyangze, Baiju Temple is a must-visit place.

Baiju Temple is located in the county seat and is easy to reach on foot.

On the way to Baiju Temple, there are two places you can visit. One is the painting of thangkas, and the other is the characteristic furniture of the Tibetan ethnic group. On the old street of Jiarijiao, which has a strong Tibetan style, there is a shop specializing in thangka business. I was fortunate to see the live painting process of thangkas. It is understood that it takes more than a month to paint a small thangka, and the price is basically more than 3,000 yuan, while the painting time of a thangka of about one square meter is 3-6 months, and the price is basically 30,000-40,000 yuan.

The integration of temple and pagoda is a unique feature of Baikho Monastery. Another unique feature of the temple is that three sects (Gelug, Sakya and Xarlu) chant sutras in the same temple, which is unique in the whole of Tibet!

Finally, don't think that the 100,000 Buddha statues in the tower are symbolic numbers. After visiting, I feel that it is very likely that there are real statues and murals. The tower has six or seven floors, and you can go up one by one. From each floor, you can see the temples and the county town nearby, and you will have a different feeling.

The Baiju Temple, which we also passed by and admired from afar, was looted by the British army when it invaded. The current temple was repaired with state funds after the reform and opening up. This temple is worth a visit. If you drive yourself or rent a car, you must go and see it.

Baiju Temple is truly a niche tourist attraction that unexpectedly enters your heart and makes you want to kneel down under the blue sky and sing praises to it.

It costs 10 yuan to take photos at the Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda. I didn't have any change, so I took 50 yuan and asked if they could give me change. The lama in the temple gave me change.

You can climb all the way up to the 5th floor. On each floor, there are many small Buddhist halls for worshipping Buddha statues and painted with exquisite murals. It is really beautiful. We both kept saying "wow", "take a quick shot", "amazing", "did you take a photo" while holding our graduate degrees. We laughed at each other for being uneducated and felt ashamed of our alma mater's cultivation.

I am grateful to witness such a masterpiece of art while photography is still allowed.

Looking out from the Ten Thousand Buddha Pagodas, there are beautiful scenery on every side.

I didn’t expect to stay in Baiju Temple for so long as two hours. I was quite excited. I ate a lot of breakfast in the morning and didn’t feel hungry.

The Baiju Temple is a grand scene where the three Tantric sects of Tibetan Buddhism are worshipped simultaneously.

There is a feeling of being hidden from the world, the temple is close to the busy streets, and the monks practice in it. Strangely, this temple gave me enough space to understand the daily life of the monks and the scenes that I imagined a temple should have.

Every visitor who comes here may not be a believer, but you can get a glimpse of the meaning of moderation from their behavior. They speak moderately, their voices are moderately loud, their behavior is relaxed and moderately restrained, and their eyes are not distracted as they look at the gods in front of them. Let you visit moderately in this moderate space. For me, perhaps such moderation is exactly what I imagine the relationship between people to be. But how easy is it~

Baiju Temple is the only temple dedicated to both the exoteric and esoteric schools. Therefore, the temple has different architectural styles and looks quite stylish. There are three most representative ones in the temple, one is the main hall, one is the tower-like structure under renovation, and the other one I can't remember clearly.

Baiju Temple is located in Jiangzi Town, Jiangzi County, Shigatse, Tibet Autonomous Region. It is surrounded by mountains on the south, north and east, and faces water on all sides. It is about 230 kilometers south of Lhasa and about 100 kilometers east of Shigatse, with an altitude of 3,900 meters. It is a temple where the Sakya, Shalu and Gelug sects of Tibetan Buddhism coexist.

Last year, I was lucky enough to read "Holy Land in the Wall" by Gao Shengyong, which is a picture album that records the murals of major temples in Tibet. Among them, the murals of Palkho Temple moved me the most. It's just that the journey is too far and I have never been able to see the real scene. This time, I went to Palkho Temple and not only saw the real scene in the book, but also discovered some beautiful murals that were not recorded in the book.

Baiju Temple is located in the county town and is easily accessible by car. The most famous feature of Baiju Temple is the Baiju Pagoda, also known as the "Hundred Thousand Buddha Pagoda".

The entire tower is inspired by the structure of a three-dimensional mandala. There is a small door on each wall, with a space of about 5 meters inside. Each space is a Buddhist hall, where different Buddha statues are enshrined, and all four sides are covered with murals corresponding to the Buddha statues. The colors are meticulously used, and each space is unique. It can be said to be the top art space in Tibetan Buddhism.

There is another thing in the main hall of Baikho Monastery that impressed me deeply. The main halls of Tibetan Buddhism all have a circular route for circumambulation, but one section of the circumambulation route of Baikho Monastery is a dark and narrow U-shaped passage.

The passage was just wide enough for one person to pass through, with smooth walls on both sides and no lights around, it was pitch black. I felt a chill before I even entered, and I was a little scared. The wall had been touched for many years and was covered with thick paste, as smooth and translucent as if it was glazed. At waist height, I could vaguely see many small Buddha statues painted on the wall. After turning the first corner, a light suddenly hit the wall diagonally in front of me. I looked up and saw a small window. After turning the second corner, I walked about 30 meters forward and came out of the passage.

At first, due to limited light, I could only see the murals on the waist-high wall. The upper part of the wall was covered with dust because few people could reach it. When I turned on the flashlight to take a closer look, I found that the entire passage wall was painted with neat small Buddha statues from top to bottom! There was a large main statue in the middle of each wall, and the small Buddha statues around the main statue were also different! I could see clearly that one side was Sakyamuni and the other side was Green Tara. You can find the others for yourself.

Each cave entrance is very low, and you have to bend down to get in. There are Bodhisattvas and murals inside. There are also more than a thousand clay, copper and gold Buddha statues in the tower, which can be called a Buddha statue museum. Enter from the tower gate, follow the stairs to view each floor, and you can walk to the top of the tower. The top is a circular platform, where you can see the Zongshan Ancient Castle.

By zqq |

The gate of Baiju Temple is very ordinary. The street in front of the gate is being paved with stone slabs, and scattered construction materials, tools and vehicles are piled up at the gate. A stone slab is casually embedded on the wall next to the doorway, with the words "National Cultural Relics Protection Unit" written on it. There is a small iron house next to the temple gate as the ticket office. The ticket seller is a middle-aged monk. He did not look at my ID card and said that there are no discount tickets in this temple. The ticket price is 60 yuan. The temple is not very tidy. The road from the temple gate to the main hall is uneven and not clean. The fences of the flower beds and tree pits on the roadside are seriously damaged. The cement cover of the waterway is missing. There are also several agricultural vehicles of local Tibetans parked in front of the main hall. The conditions outside and inside the temple made me feel that this temple lacks basic management. We entered the Cochin Hall in doubt whether it is worth buying a ticket to visit. However, the scene in the hall made us brighten our eyes, and everything we saw completely dispelled our previous doubts.

The Tsochin Hall has a history of more than 500 years. Because it is compatible with the three major sects of Tibetan Buddhism, the Buddha statues, murals, thangkas, and various offerings and furnishings inside are very different from other temples in Tibet. When we entered, there were many monks making butter sculptures in the main hall. In 2004, I saw butter sculptures used in Buddhist activities during several field trips to Labrang Monastery and Langmusi Monastery, but I had never seen butter sculptures being made. This time I was lucky to witness the making of butter sculptures. Another difference between Baiju Temple and other temples in Tibet is that it allows taking photos. Of course, you need to get a "license" (a small ticket with the time and number on it, which needs to be exchanged for a 50-yuan bill) to take photos in the hall.

We walked through the five square floors below. Part of the Buddhist temple was under renovation and the dome part above was not open to the public.

By lifeonfoot2005 |

The difference between this temple and other temples is that it has a long row of red walls, which is very conspicuous. There are even more believers here. Since it is smaller than Tashilhunpo Monastery, it seems that there are only herdsmen circumambulating the temple and sitting in the open space.

Baiju Temple

This Tibetan Buddhist temple has a major feature: the three major Tibetan sects coexist here, namely Sakya, Kadam and Gelug. Just imagine that whenever there is a Buddhist event, the Palkor Temple must be crowded with people and incense is prosperous.

Shifang Pagoda is worth a visit, a temple integrating multiple religions

By The sea embraces all rivers |

The most famous thing in Baiju Temple is the "Hundred Thousand Buddhas Pagoda", which is also known as the "Hundred Thousand Buddhas Pagoda". The pagoda is 9 stories high and 42.4 meters high. Different Bodhisattvas, Mingwang and Buddhas are enshrined on each side of each story. It is the most worthwhile place for me to stay during this trip.

The statues in the 100,000 Buddha Pagoda are as exquisite as those in the Maijishan Grottoes; the murals are as exquisite as those in the Mogao Grottoes. It is worth appreciating each one carefully. There is also a magical speaking Tara on the second floor of the 100,000 Buddha Pagoda. Of course, only those who are destined can hear her speak. I am definitely not so lucky.

I would like to emphasize again that Tibetan Buddhism allows taking photos inside temples, as long as it does not disturb others, and of course you must first obtain the consent of the lama. There is nothing disrespectful about it.

In the dim light, I looked up and saw the golden statue of Bodhisattva, and the Bodhisattva's divine power was perfectly highlighted.

There is a side door in Baiju Temple. The door is very low and you need to bend down to enter. The atmosphere inside is like hell. (If the expression is inaccurate, it is unintentional)

This statue is enshrined in the room. It should be the wrathful body of a bodhisattva. Here is a description of the wrathful body of a bodhisattva. Generally, the bodhisattvas in Tibetan Buddhism are divided into normal body and wrathful body. For example, when Avalokitesvara is normal, he looks kind and benevolent. When he is angry, he will turn into Hayagriva. The wrathful body of a bodhisattva is angry at all evil habits such as greed, anger, and ignorance, so that the evil spirits that disturb sentient beings will be afraid and stay away, so that sentient beings will not waver in their determination to be good on the road of practice. He is not angry at an individual, but at the bad habits of an individual. Is this easy to understand?

If you are interested in Tibetan Buddhism, you must go there. It is a very unique temple. The Hundred Thousand Buddha Pagoda is exquisitely built. You can visit the five floors. There are 18 pagoda temples on each floor. Different Buddhas are worshipped in each temple. The walls of each pagoda temple are painted with Buddha statues. It is said that there are as many as 100,000 Buddha statues, which are very beautiful. The transportation is very convenient. The bus from Shigatse to Gyangze will leave when it is full. The fare is 30. Go to Gyangze Bus Station, walk 800 meters straight to Gyangze Castle and Anti-British Monument, and walk 1,000 meters along the road around the castle on the left to the gate of Baiju Temple. The ticket price is 60 yuan. Baiju Temple was built by the first Panchen Lama, so it is quite famous. The Baiju Pagoda with the "Hundred Thousand Buddha Pagoda" is naturally recommended by Tianya Outdoor Travel Club.

By balderdash |

There were almost no tourists at the temple gate at 10 a.m. When we had already entered the temple, a lama saw that our group of people were dressed differently from Tibetans, and said in a blunt language that you must buy a ticket to enter, and then went to find someone. I sneered at the monk's behavior. The temple does not charge tickets for Tibetans. Although we are Han people, we also came to the temple with a heart to worship Buddha. Is it right for a monk who has devoted himself to practicing Buddhism and serving Buddha for so many years to have such a discriminatory attitude towards lay people? So I ignored him and continued to walk into the temple.

My favorite part of Baiju Temple is Baiju Pagoda. When I arrived at the door, a lama told me that I had to pay 10 yuan if I wanted to go up. I took out the money and gave it to him and continued on my way.

After worshipping in each temple, we went to the top of the pagoda, where we had a very broad view of the entire Gyantse town, with rows of Tibetan houses in the distance. At this time, we heard a group of people singing on the platform of the house opposite. Upon closer inspection, we found that they were "playing Aga". Listening to their pleasant singing and watching their uniform movements, we witnessed this special labor scene with our own eyes.

By sukey |

There are not many people going to Baiju Temple. There are groups of beggars at the door. They are very wild. If they don't get a satisfactory amount (even if they don't give money), they will smash cars and spit. Everyone must not provoke them.

There is a hall in Baiju Temple with three walls of Buddhist scriptures. The monks allow visitors to crawl under the bookshelves, which means to recite the scriptures a thousand times and pray for blessings.

There is also a side hall at the end where there are Dzi beads and the like, which cost about 20 yuan. Although they are fake, they will be blessed by lamas, making them a good choice for tourist souvenirs.

Note that it costs 10 yuan to take photos at the Ten Thousand Buddhas Pagoda. There is an old man who is responsible for collecting the fee at the small gate to the Ten Thousand Buddhas Pagoda. It is recommended that every tourist pays honestly. Most of the rooms in the pagoda are very dark, so do not use flash. Using flash will affect the murals and sculptures, and highlights will appear in the photos, which is not very good. The correct way to take photos is to use a long exposure, you can use a tripod, or put the camera on a fixed object. (This is what others said, we did not take photos)

Supplement: If you want to worship Buddha sincerely, you can exchange banknotes for one-cent coins from the old lama. Otherwise, it will be very difficult to worship so many Buddha statues. Some of the stairs in Baiju Pagoda are very steep and dark, so you must be careful with your steps.

The uniqueness of Palkor Monastery is that different religious sects coexist peacefully in one monastery, which is rare in other Tibetan monasteries. This gives it a special status and influence in the history of Tibetan Buddhism.

Baiju Pagoda is also called "The Great Pagoda of Liberation of 100,000 Sights and Hearings", or "White Pagoda" for short. Baiju Temple is particularly attractive because of this pagoda. This is not an ordinary pagoda. It is a pagoda built by overlapping nearly 100 Buddhist halls. The pagoda base covers an area of 2,200 square meters, is octagonal on all four sides, has 5 floors, has bright lines, unique style, and is solemn and stable.

This pagoda, also known as the "Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda", is a unique treasure in the history of Chinese architecture.

There are various religious halls, exquisite statues and scripture pavilions in the temple, which are very shocking.

You can take photos if you pay some fees. It costs 30 yuan to offer a butter lamp.

There is also a magical talking Tara on the second floor. Of course, only those who are destined to hear her speak.

The temples in Tibet have their own characteristics, which is a great experience.

By Small zinc |

Baiju Temple: Tickets are 60 yuan. It accommodates three sects: Sakya, Kadam and Gelug. It was originally Sakya, but later Kadam and Gelug entered one after another. At the beginning, the sects excluded each other and fought against each other, but finally they understood and accommodated each other.

There are two major characteristics: one temple houses three sects, and there is a pagoda within the pagoda. The Bodhi Pagoda is a pagoda built by overlapping 770 Buddhist halls. It is a "auspicious multi-door pagoda" style pagoda. There are a total of 100,000 Buddhist halls, niches, and Buddha statues on the murals in the pagoda, so it is named "Hundred Thousand Buddha Pagoda". It is the symbol of Baiju Temple and a unique treasure in the history of Chinese architecture.

The murals in Baiju Temple are very famous. They focus on expressing the expressions of the characters and their inner spirit. The shapes of most of the characters in the murals are obviously Tibetan, and they are characterized by being thick, solid, powerful and full of tension.

From the west entrance of the pagoda, you can go up the stairs to the top of the pagoda. Some of the stairs are hidden. It costs 15 yuan to bring a camera into the Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda. Flash photography is not allowed inside the pagoda, and the photography effect is not good.

Get up early and visit the Baiju Temple. The most famous building in the Baiju Temple is the Baiju Pagoda, also known as the "Hundred Thousand Buddhas Liberation Pagoda". The pagoda has nine floors and is more than 32 meters high. It has 77 Buddhist halls, 108 doors, shrines and scripture halls. It is a unique treasure in the history of Chinese architecture. There are more than 100,000 Buddha statues painted in the hall, so it is named the Hundred Thousand Buddha Pagoda.

Unfortunately, the pagoda is under repair, so only the bottom floor is accessible. I gave the lama who guards the pagoda 5 yuan to visit the first floor. The murals in each pagoda are different.

Baiju Temple, called "Bankuo Qude" in Tibetan, means "Auspicious Wheel Temple", is a temple where the Sakya, Shalu and Gelug sects of Tibetan Buddhism coexist. The Baiju Pagoda next to the Baiju Temple is known as the "Hundred Thousand Buddha Pagoda" because it is a pagoda built by overlapping nearly a hundred Buddhist halls. There are more than a hundred thousand Buddha statues painted in the halls, hence the name "Hundred Thousand Buddha Pagoda". The pagoda has nine floors and is more than 32 meters high. It has 77 Buddhist halls, 108 doors, shrines and scripture halls, etc. It is a unique treasure in the history of Chinese architecture.

Baiju Temple is at the foot of Stone Mountain. Many people come here to see the "100,000 Buddha Pagoda" in the temple. The pagoda has nine floors and is a pagoda built by overlapping nearly a hundred Buddhist halls. There are 100,000 Buddha statues painted in the halls. There are lamas in front of the pagoda who charge you to bring your mobile phone or camera up. Each camera charges 10 yuan. In fact, I don’t understand it. To show respect, Buddha statues cannot be photographed. Isn’t it contrary to this that the lamas charge money? At this time, Hunzong was answering the hotline call. The others went up and took a look. The Buddhist halls were connected to each other. You can find stairs in the hidden places on each floor (probably to save space. The stairs in Tibetan buildings are almost vertical). It was unfortunate that the top few floors were under repair. Maybe the essence is up there. In short, it is better to watch the magnificent view from a distance than to be on the pagoda.

By stellaxuy |

I entered the temple with the idea of exploring the unique architecture of a pagoda with a temple inside and a pagoda inside the temple. After visiting one hall after another, I finally found the Baiju Pagoda, which is known as the "100,000 Buddha Pagoda". After entering by climbing the ladder and touring clockwise, I really understood why there is a temple inside the pagoda and a pagoda inside the temple.

I didn't go into the Baiju Temple, but just took a look at the door. It's interesting to walk around the area around the Baiju Temple.

Baiju Temple is located in Jiangzi Town, Jiangzi County, Shigatse Prefecture. Generally, you will pass by it when driving from Lhasa to Shigatse. The ticket price is 60 yuan. It is called "Bankuo Qude" in Tibetan, which means "Auspicious Wheel of Joy Temple". It is surrounded by mountains on the south, north and east sides, and the temple is surrounded by water on all sides. It is 3,900 meters above sea level. It is a temple where the Sakya, Shalu and Gelug sects of Tibetan Buddhism coexist. Baiju Temple consists of four major building units: the temple, the auspicious multi-door tower, the Zhacang and the wall. The temple is a three-story flat-top Tibetan building with a mandala model. It consists of the main hall, the Dharma King Hall, the Dharma Protector Hall, the Vajra Realm Hall, the Arhat Hall, the Daoguo Hall, the Wuliang Palace, the Circumambulation Corridor and other buildings. When I went there, it was under repair. I could see that the 100,000 pagodas were a highlight of Baiju Temple. This is very similar to the pagoda statues we have seen in Nepal, which should be rare in China.

The next day we got up early and went to the Palkhor Monastery. It is a place worth worshipping. There is a tantric mandala in the pagoda, with 77 small halls for Buddha, Bodhisattva, deity and Dharma protectors. The blessing power of praying here is particularly strong. My brother and I said that if we get what we want, we will definitely come to fulfill our wish... Namaste the magical pagoda... The master took us into each room in the pagoda one by one

Every year before the Saga Dawa Festival, the Palkor Monastery will draw a sand mandala, and if you are lucky, you can see it with your own eyes. Other particularly large temples will also draw sand mandala, but tourists cannot see it.

Baiju Temple is also under renovation. When we went in, the interior of the main hall was being renovated, and several small halls were also being renovated... It seemed that almost all the temples we visited were not under renovation. Wasn’t it agreed that this is the peak season?

Baiju Temple is located in Zhijiangzi District, where three religions coexist. The ticket is 50 yuan, and my conversion certificate can be half price. It is not far from the hotel where we stayed. We took a rickshaw in the morning for 10 yuan to go there in a hurry. The landmark of Baiju Temple is the Hundred Thousand Buddha Pagoda. It costs 15 yuan to take a photo on the pagoda, but when we went there, the white pagoda was under maintenance, so we did not go up the pagoda, but only took photos below. The wisdom eye of the Hundred Thousand Buddha Pagoda is very famous. It's a pity that I only took a photo from a distance.

I don’t know if it was because we were very tired at noon, or maybe because we had visited too many temples, but we had already arrived at the entrance of Baiju Temple, but we no longer had the desire to go in. We stood at the entrance of the temple for a while and then turned around and left.

Tickets: 60 yuan

By Mood for viewing the scenery |

The most famous one is the Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda, and I don’t have a deep impression of the others.

By Timez |

The ticket to Baiju Temple is 60RMB per person, which is worth going in for a look.

This is the most magnificent Baiju Pagoda in the temple! You can go up to each floor, but you need to pay extra money.

The Mani stones of different colors under the prayer wheels (are they Mani stones?) are so cute.

Baiju Temple is a very photogenic temple. Some of its buildings are under renovation, so I only had a quick look at it.

By Cold dish buns |

The Baiju Temple is relatively small. There is no student price for tickets, so the four of us just stood at the gate and watched.

By LL |

Since we had plenty of time, we took photos of the Buddha statues and murals in each cave, and the Tibetan tour guide also gave detailed explanations of each Buddha statue. It took us two and a half hours in total until the cave closed. This is the benefit of traveling independently.

The impression is not very deep, but I still remember its round white tower.

Baiju Temple in Gyangze County. I wanted to go in and take a look, but there were tickets for sale at the door. One ticket was 50 yuan, and many halls were closed. So I simply did not go in. I just took a few photos at the door. It was considered a visit.

We continued walking and arrived at Baiju Temple around 4 pm. The ticket was 60 yuan per person. The temple was of average size. The person who explained was a lama from the temple. He briefly talked about the history of the temple and introduced the white pagoda next to it. The architecture of the white pagoda is Nepalese style at the bottom and Indian style at the top.

Baiju Temple (ticket price: 60 yuan) is a temple where the Sakya, Shalu and Gelug sects of Tibetan Buddhism coexist. It is famous for the 100,000-buddha pagoda in the temple.

Baikho Monastery is a famous monastery with two main features. One of its features is that it accommodates three sects. It originally belonged to the Sakya sect. Later, the Kadam sect and the Gelug sect entered one after another. The various sects once excluded each other and competed with each other. In the end, they understood and accommodated each other. As a result, Baikho Monastery accommodates the three sects of Sakya, Kadam and Gelug. Therefore, the offerings and architectural styles in the temple are also eclectic and draw on the strengths of many. Another feature is the Bodhi Pagoda, the symbol of Baikho Monastery. It is a pagoda built by overlapping nearly a hundred Buddhist halls in sequence. It is known as the "Pagoda within a Pagoda". There are a total of 100,000 Buddha statues in the Buddhist halls, niches and murals in the pagoda, hence the name Hundred Thousand Buddha Pagoda. It is very impressive and feels great.

The Palkhor Monastery is not very big, and it is not far from Shigatse. There were not many people when I went there, it was very quiet and beautiful.

The Palkor Monastery has a history of nearly 600 years. It is the only famous temple in Tibet where the three religions of Sakya, Gelug and Kadam gather in one temple. There is a main hall of the Buddha of Infiniteness in the Cochin Hall. The walls are covered with tantric murals. I have never seen such a large-scale mural in other temples in Tibet. It is worth seeing. I met a very friendly lama who allowed me to take pictures of the tantric murals on the walls of the Buddha of Infiniteness. The Palkor Monastery Pagoda is known as a unique treasure in the history of Chinese architecture. There are also many Buddha statues on each floor of the pagoda, which is called the "100,000 Buddha Pagoda".

Baiju Temple has a 100,000 Buddha Pagoda. It has a unique shape. There are murals of 100,000 Buddhas painted inside the pagoda. It is hidden indoors and can only be viewed through the door. You can hardly see it clearly. You can only feel its past glory from its mottled pickled walls and door handles. It is really the best choice to watch Zongshan Castle from a distance on the pagoda. The scenery is unbeatable. . .

This is the roof of the Baiju Temple in Gyangze. It doesn’t look so magnificent, but its history should be the same as the name Gyangze.

The murals in Baiju Temple are very famous. If you visit but don't visit them, you can only say that you have gained something and lost something, which is a bit regretful.

By Jingle Bells |

Passing by a small town, Master Caiwang took us to a nice scenic spot, Baiju Temple. Maybe because we had just come down from Yanghu Lake and had not yet been freed from the beautiful natural scenery, and we had seen too many temples along the way in Lhasa, no one wanted to go in, so we took some photos at the entrance and continued on our way.

Baiju Temple, the temple here is usually open to local Tibetans for pilgrimage in the morning and tourist groups in the afternoon, so when we went to the ticket office in the morning, the ticket sales had not started yet. However, there is a disadvantage that you can't get a tour guide. Although I only have a general understanding of Baiju Temple and don't know many details, I still think this temple is high-end and classy! In short, it's great.

We arrived at the Palkhor Monastery at 4:30 pm, when the sun was at its strongest in Tibet. It was a monastery where the Sakya, Kadam and Gelug sects coexisted without any grudges. A bodhi pagoda in the center was the boundary between the three sects, which did not interfere with each other. After reciting the longevity sutra at the general affairs office of the monastery, we walked slowly around the monastery. There were small Buddha statues and small stones with scriptures inscribed on them next to the prayer wheels. The wind blew the white curtains above the prayer wheels.

There are not many tourists coming to Baiju Temple, but many Tibetans come here to circumambulate, kneel down, and pray, and they happen to encounter monks chanting sutras during the morning class.

We followed the Tibetans' steps, listened to the monks' chanting, and tried to feel their lives.

I immediately felt a liking for this quiet little temple.

I was so bored in the afternoon. I had to find something to do when I was out, so I planned to go to Baiju Temple in the afternoon. The ticket to Baiju Temple seemed to cost 50 yuan. The Tibetan village in Baiju Temple was different from the ones I saw along the way. It was the kind I liked the most, with white walls and red bricks, and was hung with Tibetan-style cloth. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, and it would never be perfect without blue sky and white clouds.

Baiju Temple, ticket price is 60 yuan, tour guide fee is 100 yuan, there are 100,000 pagodas, it is worth seeing, four stars.

Walk a few hundred meters from the left side of the Zongshan Ancient Castle Square and you will reach the entrance of Baiju Temple. Due to time constraints, we could not go in to visit, so we just took a photo at the entrance and left.

Palkor Monastery, with its 13-story pagoda, 1,070 Buddhist caves, and 100,000 Buddha statues, is a magical temple where the Sakya, Kadam, and Gelug sects coexist harmoniously.

The architectural style of Baiju Temple is also eclectic and draws on the strengths of many others. Looking down from the top of the mountain, the buildings are arranged in an orderly manner, with a clear sense of hierarchy from top to bottom.
