The Fish-Watching Terrace is a structure of two platforms and one pavilion. The two platforms are hexagonal, larger at the top and smaller at the bottom. The top of the pavilion is hemispherical, with four symmetrically distributed wing shapes, implying the majestic posture of a mountain eagle soaring.

Whether you look at Kanas Lake from the observation deck or the fish-watching deck, you will be shocked by the magic and magnificence of the natural scenery.

Standing on the fish-watching platform and looking around, you can see the entire Kanas Lake, with the snow-capped mountains in the distance and the coniferous forest belt at your feet complementing each other.

There are 1,068 steps to the Fish Viewing Platform. During the climb, you can always see a corner of Kanas Lake. The scenery of the lake and mountains varies from far and near. When you really climb up to the Fish Viewing Platform, you can see most of the dark green lake. It is indeed the best viewing point. It is an extremely beautiful oil painting no matter how you look at it! A high-power telescope is placed on the plank road, and you can clearly see the snow-capped mountains across the lake. After studying the payment method (7 yuan for two minutes, 10 yuan for three minutes), simply scan the code to pay. T set the position and took a look. He said that he could see the snow on the top of the mountain in the distance. I looked at it immediately. Why is it pitch black? Where is the top of the mountain? Arriving at Kanas Fish-Watching Terrace, you can overlook the entire Kanas Scenic Area from the highest point. You need to take a snowmobile to get up there. The master who took me on the car reminded me that he was not as gentle as other motorcycle masters, and asked me to hold the handrail tightly. I told him to step on the accelerator to the bottom if he had the ability. In the end, he won. He accelerated and sprinted on the winding mountain road, drifted in big turns, just like driving a go-kart. I was almost thrown out in the back seat. My hands were obviously very cold, but I held the handlebars tightly and did not dare to let go at all. I was wrong, isn't it okay?

I was deeply impressed by the plank road leading to the Fish-Watching Terrace. Xiao Xia and Gou Shao walked there, but I rolled. When I was climbing up, my foot slipped and my butt landed on the ground. I slid all the way down the stairs back to the starting point. I also lacked exercise.

From the top of the mountain, you can see the boundless Kanas, which is breathtakingly beautiful.

I think my physical endurance is better than usual when I travel, and I like mountain climbing, but it is still quite strenuous to climb up to the Fish Viewing Platform. It happened to be very hot at that time, and there was rarely a shady place to rest for a while during the whole climbing process. I couldn't reach the top in one breath, so I could only take pictures while walking to relieve myself. The scenery is really worth stopping for. I can't think of any adjectives except to say that it is extremely beautiful. Everything in nature is green as it should be in the middle of summer, the grass and trees are lush, the snow-capped mountains are pure white, the Kanas Lake is clear and blue, and the sky is blue and white. The whole picture is like an oil painting, and I am lucky to be in the painting. It’s nice to take pictures of the winding mountain road with the snow-capped mountains as the background, the plank road in the jungle and snow-capped mountains, and the snow-capped mountain lake dotted with yachts. The yachts in the lake look like small and twinkling stars in the sky... I like the pictures taken from every angle and height. The lush green woods, white snow-capped mountains, blue sky, and bright sunlight form a beautiful picture of Kanas in midsummer.

It was noon, the sun was too strong, luckily I had a headscarf, so I ate a few bites of the sac. We headed towards the commanding heights of Kanas, Diaoyutai. It took us about an hour to climb up, and along the way we had a panoramic view of Kanas.

The lake water is emerald green. I met a tour group at Diaoyutai and heard the tour guide introduce that due to the rich minerals here, the water of Kanas Lake will change color with the change of seasons. Standing at the highest point, overlooking the God's private land, I am now a god too. Looking into the depths of Kanas Lake, there are rolling mountains on the other side.

It started snowing in Kanas Mountain these nights, and I heard along the way that the Fish Viewing Terrace might not be open due to weather reasons. When I took the shuttle bus to the transfer station, I hurried to inquire about the tickets for the Fish Viewing Terrace. After knowing that I could buy tickets to go up, I unanimously decided to go to the Fish Viewing Terrace first.

The wind on the mountain was very strong and the weather was cold (although it was close to noon, the temperature in Kanas was only about 2 degrees before 10 in the morning). Climbing the mountain was quite strenuous and you needed to rest while climbing. Whether the scenery along the way is beautiful or not is up to you! There are 1068 steps to the top. If it weren't for the beautiful view, I would have given up on the third rest. My family members kept encouraging me, saying that you can see the panoramic view of Kanas Lake at the top.

The snow-capped mountains in the distance, the tranquil Nanas Lake, the mountains full of golden Siberian larch, and the unique autumn sun, everything is just right.

Locals say that if you come to Kanas and don't go to the Fish Viewing Terrace, it's like you haven't been to Kanas. After coming here, I found that the scenery is really worthy of such an evaluation. The Fish Viewing Terrace is on the top of a high mountain in the scenic area. It took us about 3 hours to climb up and take pictures leisurely. We took pictures of almost every place where we could take pictures along the way. Because the scenery is so beautiful, the success rate of taking pictures is almost 100%.

It’s a shame that I was too timid to fly the drone because there were so many people.

It was already 8:30 when we arrived at the top of Diaoyutai Mountain. The morning mist had already dissipated halfway. On the way, we passed a small grassland on the hillside with many small wild flowers, which was quite beautiful. On the hillside, we could see the morning mist of Tuwa New Village and the morning mist of Kanas Lake in the distance. Early birds and birds who walk diligently have beautiful views to see. Those who come by shuttle bus will not be able to enjoy it.

If you want to go to the Guanyu Terrace in Kanas Scenic Area to watch the morning fog, it is recommended to stay at Tuwa New Village at night. It takes about 1.5 hours to walk up the mountain from Tuwa New Village. If you take the scenic area shuttle bus, it takes about 15 minutes to get to the halfway plank road to the Guanyu Terrace, and then walk about half an hour to the top of the mountain. The earliest shuttle bus is at 9 o'clock (it is not guaranteed that you can get on the 9 o'clock bus, there are tour groups waiting in front). The ticket is 120/person. Basically, the morning fog will be gone when you reach the top of the mountain. So start walking early.

The Fish-Watching Pavilion is located in the Kanas Scenic Area in Burqin, Xinjiang. It is built on the top of the Sahara Laid-Open Mountain (which means "Camel Peak" in Mongolian) at an altitude of 2,030 meters. The vertical drop from the lake surface is more than 600 meters. It is named Fish-Watching Pavilion because it is in an excellent position to observe the "lake monster". The height difference of more than 600 meters from the lake surface makes it the best angle to overlook the panoramic view of Kanas Lake. Not only can you see three-quarters of the lake surface, but you can also see the reflections of the mountains and peaks around the lake. If you look north, you can also clearly see the highest peak of the Altai Mountains - Friendship Peak. Therefore, climbing the Fish-Watching Pavilion has become a must-do thing when visiting Kanas.

The Fish-Watching Platform is located on the top of Camel Peak on the west bank of Kanas Lake. It was originally built to observe lake monsters.

I remember watching CCTV's "Into Science" program when I was a child. There was a series about the Kanas Lake monster. Experts and tourists always waited in the fish-watching pavilion with telescopes and cameras, hoping to capture the appearance of the "water monster". The mysterious atmosphere created in the program constituted my first memory of the fish-watching platform. Our journey to the fish-watching platform was divided into two parts. The driver first drove us up a hillside, and then we walked up the steps of the scenic area. There are 1,200 steps in total, which are low and winding. It is not very tiring to walk, and each step will be numbered from the 800th step, which is a great encouragement for tourists with limited physical strength. There are viewing platforms along the way, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Kanas Lake while walking.

The best view of the Fish Viewing Platform is when there is about one-third of the way to go. The Fish Viewing Platform consists of two platforms and a pavilion. The top is in the shape of a flying fish, which is said to be a fusion of the legend of fish monsters. When we went up to the platform, it was covered with dark clouds. Looking down, there was only thick fog, and there were three layers of tourists on the two platforms, so we took a circle and went down the mountain.

I have something very serious to say! Here's the key point! On the way to Guanyutai, there is a toll booth where a local will ask you to pay! But! Normally it's 60/person. If you don't check the guide and don't ask him, he will ask you to pay 120/person! Mr. Zheng and I were cheated!

It takes about half an hour to get to the Fish Viewing Platform... It's really tiring... And the snow is thick and slippery, so be sure to wear a pair of non-slip shoes and be careful not to fall! But I heard from local people that Kanas is more beautiful in winter than in autumn ~ I really agree!

When I climbed up to the Fish Viewing Platform, I really couldn't think of any words to praise it. I regretted not having enough knowledge when I needed it! But I think my future self will definitely be grateful to my present self for traveling thousands of miles to come to this land just for this glimpse.

It took about an hour or two to climb up and down. The most regrettable thing was that the door of the pavilion above the fish-watching platform was not open, so I couldn't stand at the best angle to appreciate the mysterious and beautiful Kanas Lake.

Later on the way back, we also saw Wolong Bay and Moon Bay, which were really beautiful like a painting.

In fact, if possible, I hope to walk up by myself and appreciate the fragrance of wild peony all the way. The car stopped halfway up the mountain. There are 1,036 steps from the hillside to the fish-watching platform. To avoid crowds of tourists, the upper and lower paths are different. The upper path is close to Kanas Lake. From bottom to top, as we get higher and higher, the full picture of Kanas Lake unfolds little by little in front of us. The azure blue lake is covered by mountains and ridges. The lake is surrounded by lush coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forests, which are connected to the vast mountain grasslands. We did not see the water monster, but only saw a long trail of cruise ships crossing the water. The team split again, and Aries, Sagittarius, and Taurus naturally became the first echelon. In the middle are Virgo and Scorpio. The two Cancers silently fell to the end because of various poses and constant disputes. Although the descending path is not suitable for viewing Kanas Lake, it is convenient for enjoying the snow-capped mountains and valleys, and various wild flowers, each of which is beautiful in its own way. Sun Haiyang, who told us that it would take two hours to reach the summit, really underestimated our ability. It only took us an hour and a half to go back and forth even after posing for all kinds of photos. We are southerners who are good at climbing mountains, haha!

To see the full view of Kanas Lake, you can only go to the Fish Viewing Platform. Tickets for the Fish Viewing Platform need to be purchased separately (20 yuan/person), and you have to climb a distance of mountain after arriving. As the altitude rises, the full view of Kanas Lake gradually unfolds before your eyes. Looking far away, the snow-capped mountains shine like stars; looking down, the lake embraces the glittering blue in its arms, and sometimes white yachts shuttle across the lake, dragging a long white tail ripple. The flying birds are just black dots in the camera, and the shale is like a book - the vastness of the world is nothing more than this.

A few days before National Day, it was also the most beautiful golden autumn, and there were still quite a lot of people, especially on the way to the Fish-Watching Platform. The bus dropped us off halfway up the mountain, and then we had to climb up by ourselves. There were steps all the way, but it felt okay and we didn't feel tired. We walked slowly and took pictures slowly. It took us about 3 hours to go up and down. We went up the mountain first, and there were viewing platforms at suitable places. We went to take pictures of Kanas Lake. Some places on the road were bare and very hot under the sun, so we had to take off our clothes. Some places were in the woods and it was cool. When we arrived at the Fish-Watching Platform, there was a two-story pavilion with an Arale hat on it. The top floor of the pavilion was the highest viewing point, but there were so many people that we just looked around and took some pictures and then came down.

After climbing 1,068 steps, I finally reached the Fish-Watching Platform. The Fish-Watching Platform is one of the most famous attractions in Kanas Scenic Area. It has a vertical drop of more than 600 meters from the lake surface. Standing on the Fish-Watching Platform, the Kanas Lake at your feet lies quietly between the two mountains, like a sapphire, scattering sparkling and dazzling light. The blue sky and white clouds, the sparkling waves, make people feel like they are in the fairyland of Yaochi. I tried hard to search the lake surface, imagining the appearance of the lake monster. But there were only the reflections of white clouds and the waves of the cruise ship on the lake, and the lake monster was deeply hidden under the sapphire-like lake surface, refusing to meet us.

If you only buy tickets to Kanas, you need to buy the bus and entrance tickets to Fish Viewing Terrace separately. But because we bought a three-day pass, which included the bus and entrance tickets to Fish Viewing Terrace, we were lucky enough.

The Guanyu Terrace offers a panoramic view of Kanas. Although the sky is gradually covered by cumulonimbus clouds, there are still some places with blue sky. So a few of us followed these places with blue sky as the background and first used the camera to record the beautiful scenery of Kanas with blue sky and white clouds.

The parking lot of Guanyu Terrace is about 1.5km away from the top of the terrace, and you need to climb 1,000 steps to reach it. Every few steps you take and look left and right, you can see the golden grasslands of Kanas and the Kanas Lake Basin. We walked and took pictures surrounded by beautiful scenery. Although there were dark clouds, the scenery of Kanas in the lens was amazing enough.

The ticket for Fish Viewing Terrace is independent of the ticket for Kanas. You need to buy the ticket at the transfer center in advance [20 yuan/person], take the shuttle bus to the halfway point of the mountain [the journey takes about 20-30 minutes], and then climb 1,068 steps to stand at the commanding height of Kanas and have a panoramic view of the entire lake and distant mountains.

The wooden plank road of Guanyutai is well built now. It is not too strenuous to walk up the 1068 steps. There is a small viewing platform at intervals. Due to weather reasons, we were unable to climb up to the Fish-Watching Terrace and could only look at the unclear Fish-Watching Terrace from afar on the lakeside at the bottom of the mountain. This was a pity of this trip.

The Fish-Watching Platform is on the top of the mountain on the west side of Kanas Lake. Take a shuttle bus from the Kanas Scenic Area Transfer Center to the parking lot halfway up the mountain, then climb the mountain along the sightseeing trail. There are a total of 1,680 steps to the Fish-Watching Platform. The climbing stage is the best time to see Kanas Lake. You won't be able to see it if you take another road down the mountain. The Fish-Watching Platform is on the top of the mountain. When you climb up the Fish-Watching Platform, you will have a wide view and a panoramic view of the lake. Two photos, one was taken when approaching the Fish-Watching Platform on the way up the mountain, and the other was taken when I just left the Fish-Watching Platform on the way down the mountain.

The Fish-Watching Terrace is the highest point in the entire Kanas Scenic Area and a must-visit for all tourists, so the crowd is particularly dense. To climb the Fish-Watching Terrace, you need to climb 1,068 steps, which takes about 30 minutes. However, the scenery along the way makes people completely forget their fatigue. Looking around, the endless valleys extend layer by layer beyond the sight. The best overlooking angle is the Fish-Watching Terrace on the top of the mountain. The Fish-Watching Terrace was designed by the master of garden architecture and landscape Wu Zhaozhao, and its plaque was inscribed by the cultural master Yu Qiuyu. Interestingly, this viewing platform was originally called "Fish-Watching Pavilion", but because it sounded like "official luck stopped", it was considered unlucky, so it was renamed "Fish-Watching Terrace" which sounded like "official luck lifted".

At noon, take the shuttle bus to Guanyutai at the transfer center. Note that there are buses going to four directions here, so don't line up in the wrong line. Passing by the new village, it is opposite the transfer center. Like the old village, there are also many accommodations here, but overall it is not as convenient as the old village. The scenery along the way to Guanyutai is also great! The road up the mountain is steep and narrow! The shuttle bus can only go halfway up the mountain, and the rest needs to be hiked up, a total of 1,068 steps. Let's go! Opposite is the old village and the transfer center, on the right is the new village, and in the middle is the Kanas River, which flows out of the Karas Lake. It is 2,030 meters above sea level, and the height difference with the lake is more than 600 meters. It really feels like a view of the mountains, wow... refreshing!

After taking the scenic area bus from Kanas into the scenic area, you will arrive at the transfer center and continue to take the bus.



To see Kanas Lake, there are two shuttle buses, one goes to Guanyutai (going up the mountain to see the lake), and the other goes to Kanas Lake (by the lake).



You can see the panoramic view from the top of Guanyutai Mountain, but you need to buy a separate ticket, which costs 20 yuan.



After taking the car up the mountain, you still have to continue hiking to the fish-watching pavilion on the top of the mountain, which takes about half an hour.
