Arriving at the entrance of the Keketuohai Scenic Area, you must apply for a border pass (free) before entering the scenic area. The Irtysh River runs through the entire scenic area, and the straight fault zone is like a solid barrier, protecting this area of grass and trees. Every scene presented in front of you is the most beautiful autumn roll! The golden and green intertwined woods, the sound of rushing water, the bleating of sheep herding... This picture has an irresistible attraction for urban people who have been living in reinforced concrete for a long time!

Water as smooth as milk!



As soon as we came in, we felt that we had come to the right place. It was so beautiful that I felt that no words could describe its beauty. We could take a sightseeing bus, but we decided to walk and quietly enjoy the scenery along the way. The whole way was a visual baptism and enjoyment. The clouds were light and the breeze was warm. If we hadn't rushed to Burqin at night, we really wanted to wander slowly in this colorful fairy tale world! There were golden colors everywhere! I never thought that such a northwestern border would have a beautiful scenery comparable to that of the south of the Yangtze River. There was water on the right and mountains on the left. The water was clear and blue, flowing continuously, making a gurgling sound like a small sonata.

After walking for a while, you can see rows of straight trees, golden birch trees, emerald green pines, tall poplar trees, and lush spruce trees, covered with golden leaves, accompanied by the shining sunlight, blingbling, this is the appearance of autumn in my heart.

Tour time: 1-3 hours

We drove to Keketuohai, which is only a 10-minute drive in theory, but it was difficult to move because of the cattle and sheep that were everywhere. In Xinjiang, cattle, sheep, horses and camels are the largest animals. When you see them wandering in the middle of the road, you can only follow them obediently and enjoy the supreme treatment of having the road cleared.

After entering the gate of Keketuohai Scenic Area, you need to take a tour bus and drive inward for another half an hour to reach the core scenic area. The tour bus is a minivan with windows that can be pushed open horizontally. Because the speed of the car is not too fast, you can find a seat by the window, open the window, and take some photos along the way.

When the tour bus drives inward, there are mountains on the left and the Irtysh River on the right. The scenery on the river side is better. The tour bus will take all passengers to Shenzhong Mountain. There is a bay gorge deeper in the mountain, but I think the scenery in the core scenic area is not as beautiful as the scenery seen on the way in.

When we arrived at Shenzhong Mountain, the sky was gloomy and the wind in the forest was blowing, which made it even colder. Most tourists walked in with their necks shrunk. It is really necessary to keep warm when coming here. There were many people taking pictures of the water flow by the river valley. The tour bus would take another road when returning to the gate of the scenic area, so we still sat on the right side of the bus, which was close to the river. If we had time, we really wanted to get off the bus and walk along the Irtysh River. Even if the sky was not good, it would definitely be beautiful with changing scenery.

I had two thoughts before going to Keketuohai. The first was that the name Keketuohai sounded nice and romantic. The second was that I was confused? Why is it an AAAAA-level scenic spot?

There is a waterfall, but it takes several kilometers to walk from the scenic area transfer center to the waterfall, so I gave up. . I used a DV to see the minerals on these stones very clearly! Mobile phones can't take pictures, one after another, the layers are clear! It's all a treasure trove! Keketuohai Scenic Area requires crossing mountains and ridges, and the road is extremely bumpy. It is estimated that in a few years, people will not have to suffer so much, and people's lives are getting better and better.

Due to heavy rain, we did not go too deep into the scenic area, but just walked along the river for a while, and then got on the bus to Wucai Beach. If the weather is good and there is time, the scenic spots around Keketuohai are still worth visiting. Irtysh Grand Canyon, Kekesuli Wetland, Yilemu Lake, etc. are good choices for hiking and photography enthusiasts.

You may not be able to own priceless gems, but you can also find many unique natural masterpieces here: look up at the majestic Dazhong Mountain, study the mysteries of the heavenly book, witness the romance of the longevity turtle, and marvel at the majesty of the Elephant Trunk Hill...Walking in the valley, both mountains are the masterpieces of nature painted by fairies, like two long scrolls engraved with thousands of years of legends, telling you the story of the changes of things and the passage of time.

The silent rocks were covered with a soft golden carpet, and the cliffs were hung with amber curtains, just as a considerate housewife would cover every piece of furniture with exquisite cloth to keep it spotless in the sun.

The most amazing moment is when the mountain wind suddenly blows, blowing the leaves on the trees like thousands of birds leaving their nests. The thick carpet also turns into thousands of dried butterflies, all rising up in the wind and dancing in the valley. It seems that elves are casting magic, adding a touch of mystery to this secret valley.

When we entered the scenic area, the sun had not yet shone in the valley. We endured the chill of late autumn and took a hike with a yearning for the beautiful scenery. The gurgling water in the mountains, the peaks covered with colorful forests, and the wild animals everywhere made the journey to Keketuohai not boring.

Since we arrived early and there were relatively few tourists, we planned to take the sightseeing bus in the scenic area to the deep part of Keketuohai Scenic Area where the light was better, to play and take pictures. But because we went too early, the shuttle bus had not started yet, so we hiked forward for a while and had a lot of fun in the birch forest in the golden autumn. At about 10:30, the sightseeing bus started to leave, and we returned to the starting point to take the bus deeper into the scenic area. It happened to be the National Day holiday that the scenic area gave benefits to tourists, and the shuttle bus was free. With a good mood, we bathed in the sunshine that had just sprinkled on the valley, warm and exuding the most beautiful taste of Xinjiang.

Our group walked and took photos, using cameras to record the autumn colors of Keketuohai. The sparkling water, the yellowing and falling leaves, and the warm sunlight on the distant mountains were all our best shots.

I went there during the National Day this year. I set out from Fuyun County to Keketuohai. It was drizzling all the way. I thought it would be bad to have fun in the rain. But when I got to the gate of the scenic spot and got off the car, the rain stopped, but it was really cold! I was fully armed with a scarf and a fleece jacket. Haha, I think the scenery is super good. The yellow leaves haven't fallen yet. It's amazingly beautiful! Finally, it snowed in the scenic area, and my mood instantly became super good.

We stayed in a yurt in the scenic area at night. It was the first time we stayed in a yurt. There was a big kang with a table on it. We could also have dinner on the kang. We could hike into the scenic area early tomorrow morning. There were so many advantages. Although this nest was very shabby, it still made us very happy.

We entered the scenic area early in the morning and had to apply for a border pass. We just took our ID card to get it. After entering the scenic area, there is a walking ladder on the left. On the right is the scenic area vehicle. The round trip is 7 kilometers and you can get off and move freely. The left side is a one-way walk of 7 kilometers. Everyone unanimously chose to take the bus up. There are not many people, and the commercial atmosphere of the frontier scenic area is not strong. Walk around, play in the water, eat some snacks, and take beautiful pictures.

Before entering the scenic area, there is a border pass point near the ticket office. Remember to queue up to apply for it. Friends traveling with you can apply for it at the same time. Just hand your ID card to the police for registration. It's quite fast.

It takes about 3-4 hours to walk through the scenic area from beginning to end. If you want to take photos, it may take more than that. After all, good photos still take some time~~

As soon as we entered, we were attracted by the autumn colors of the canyon. In addition, the lack of sunlight delayed us for quite a while... We only walked about 2/3 of the entire scenic area~~

I originally planned to keep going, but I realized that I didn't have enough time (because it would take another 5-6 hours to drive to Kanas). So I asked several ladies who were walking back along the way. They all said that there was nothing special about it. The best part was that we had already passed it. It was just that the trail behind was steeper.

So... I just gave up.

ps. The signal in Keketuohai is not very good. Going towards the canyon, there is basically no signal. So be careful.

Keketuohai is the "cold pole" of Xinjiang, a rare "gem town" in China, and a rare "natural mineral exhibition hall" in the world. It is said that there are many mines there, one of which even helped China pay off its international foreign debts. Now it seems that the clear pine waves are full of love, and the green mountains and forests are like a poem and a painting!

The Irtysh Gorge is very beautiful in the golden autumn, but the flaws in it are very unsightly, such as the best free photo taking position on the Shenzhong Mountain Observation Deck, which is actually a scam; the Acacia Lock Bridge, etc.; the most disgusting thing is that there are no staff, and all the recorded speakers are hung everywhere in the scenic area; the driver drives the sightseeing car like a racing car or a roller coaster; there is no stop between the starting station and the terminal station Shenzhong Mountain. The service awareness of the scenic area is too poor, the ticket is 90 yuan and the sightseeing car is 26 yuan. This is the most service-unaware scenic spot in Xinjiang, bar none.

Keketuohai is a small town in Xinjiang that prospered because of mining. Its name is very beautiful. Keketuohai means "blue river bay" in Mongolian and "green jungle" in Kazakh. Thirty years ago, this place could not be found on the map at all, and it didn't even have a name. There was only a confidentiality code: 111 Mine, which represented the country's top secrets and top wealth. Until Wang Qi's song "The Shepherd of Keketuohai" became popular here. Our trip this time can be said to be chasing this song. My sweetheart, I am waiting for you in Keketuohai. They say you married to Yili. Is it because there is the beautiful Nalati there?

Keketuohai National Geopark is the first national geopark in China with typical mineral deposits and mine sites as its main landscape. Together with the unique Altai granite landforms and the remains of the Fuyun earthquake, it has rich and diverse scientific connotations and aesthetic significance. These geological heritages are of rare value rarely seen in the world and constitute a dazzling landscape on the mysterious tourism line around Junggar in Xinjiang.

The No. 3 Mine in the park is a world-class granite pegmatite deposit with 84 minerals discovered. It is known as a natural mineral museum. Compared with similar veins in the world, the beryllium reserves in the No. 3 vein rank first in the world. It consists of four major scenic spots: the Karashenger earthquake fault zone, known as the world earthquake museum, the Kekesuli, known as the Jiangnan of the north, the Yilemu Lake, the second coldest pole in China, and the famous Irtysh Grand Canyon. This is not only the "coldest pole" in Xinjiang, but also a rare "gem town" in the country, and a rare "natural mineral exhibition hall" in the world.

It has beautiful canyon rivers, mountains, rocks and woods, mineral resources, polar lakes and strange earthquake fault zones as its natural scenery. It integrates geological culture, regional characteristics and ethnic customs. It is a large tourist attraction with sightseeing, leisure and vacation, special tourism (hiking, photography, etc.) and scientific investigation as its main features.

Keketuohai Scenic Area is very large and rich. There are snow-capped mountains, canyons, the Erqi River, Shenzhong Mountain, and the No. 3 rare metal mine. There are many embankments made of pebbles, etc. There are big hotels and restaurants in the scenic area. But I didn't see any shepherds.

Keketuohai Scenic Area, also known as Irtysh Grand Canyon, has a ticket price of 90 yuan (free for Yikatong) and a shuttle bus of 26 yuan, which is the most reasonable shuttle bus price we have encountered in Xinjiang. Keketuohai means "green jungle" in Kazakh and "blue river bay" in Mongolian. It is a national 5A scenic spot and geological park. The shuttle bus is divided into two sections. First, take a battery car for about 10 minutes to the birch forest. Walk along the wooden plank road to the roadside and change to the scenic area's minibus to continue up along the Irtysh River.

Keketuohai has very rich mineral resources. Although I did not go to the No. 3 mine, I passed by many mining areas along the way.

On the way to the Keketuohai Scenic Area, stretches of poplar forests surround the Irtysh River. My friends all sighed that this is the autumn Xinjiang in the brochures, with colorful forests and overlapping green and gold.

It rained heavily that day, and fog formed on the mountain. The wind blew the fog slowly, and the orange, yellow and green on the mountaintop were looming. The mountain springs on rainy days were unusually surging, flowing from the cracks in the rocks to the mountain road. After a day of walking, there was basically no way to keep the shoes dry.

Keketuohai Scenic Area is the most disappointing attraction in our self-driving tour. The scenic area mainly includes birch forest and Irtysh Grand Canyon. The scenery is relatively monotonous and the hiking time is long. If you must go to this scenic area, it is recommended to walk across a copper cable bridge with "get to know each other" written on it, climb up the observation deck to see the scenery and then return. There is no need to continue to "Xiaozhong Mountain" and "Camel Peak" and other attractions, saving time to go to the next scenic spot.

Because we spent too much time in Keketuohai, it was already dark when we arrived at Wucai Beach, and we were unable to enjoy the most beautiful sunset view, so we gave up this attraction. Here I advise you again to leave enough time to go to Wucai Beach. It is recommended to take the shuttle bus in the scenic area at 1:30 pm, so that you can catch the sunset of Wucai Beach. (Before the National Day, the sunset at Wucai Beach is at 8 pm)

We can't just criticize Keketuohai, in fact, the management and supporting facilities of this scenic spot are very good, and all the tourism service measures are very good. It can be seen that the management unit is very attentive in its operation. Unfortunately, whether it can become a scenic spot that attracts tourists actually depends on talent. The scenery here is really average and does not arouse interest in tourism.

Keketuohai Town has the world-famous "No. 3" mineral vein, which is recognized by the world as a "natural exhibition hall" of rare metals. It has 86 kinds of mineral products such as tantalum, niobium, beryllium, etc. Keketuohai Town is also rich in aquamarine, tourmaline, garnet, rhodonite, jade, crystal and other precious stones. It is said that these mountains are rich in mineral resources. But I always want to know if there is any radiation.

Keketuohai has formed many deep valleys and canyons, which has become a rich natural landscape combination area integrating mountain scenery, water scenery, grassland, and strange pictographic rocks. These geological heritages are rare in the world and constitute a dazzling landscape on the mysterious tourism line around Junggar in Xinjiang.

The mountains, water, trees and stones are beautiful.

Keketuohai is one of the very few scenic spots that can be entered by self-driving. I went through the formalities without hesitation, because not having to take the shuttle bus will definitely increase my sense of happiness. There were 4 large and 2 small business cars, and the fare was 900 yuan, and there was no need to buy tickets.

Just after entering the scenic area, there is a birch forest, which is a good place to have fun.

Keketuohai means "green jungle" in Kazakh and "blue river bay" in Mongolian. It is the second coldest place in China. The hydropower department of Fuyun measured a temperature of -60℃, but it was not recognized. During this period, the Mohe weather station in Heilongjiang also measured a temperature of -60℃, so Mohe was designated as the coldest place in China, and Fuyun ranked second.

I didn't expect too much before I went there. After all, compared with Kanas and Hemu, there is still a gap in fame, but I will never regret it.

There are many scenic spots in Keketuohai, but in fact the most beautiful scenery is along the Irtysh River. Strolling along the river, with high gorges standing beside it, the scenery is extremely beautiful!

In the quiet valley, there is a beautiful birch forest

The road to Keketuohai is very hard, not only far and difficult to walk, but also mountainous roads, and the accommodation in Keketuohai is really average! ! But! ! The scenery is amazing, the plain valley washed out by the Irtysh River, with alpine vegetation on one side and the valley on the other side, the scenery is so beautiful, not inferior to Kanas at all! So, just because you have gone through so much hardship to get there, you will have unexpected gains! ! ! It's worth going! !

This is because the entire scenic area is a large pastoral area. This is the season for pastoral migration. Herds of cattle, sheep and horses block the road. The cattle pass by the horses, and the horses pass by the sheep, one group after another, one after another. The road where the cattle, sheep and horses pass by is covered with dust and animal feces. There is no place to hide. Tourists can't walk or hide. The first thing everyone does when they go home is to take a shower and change clothes. In this case, tourists are in a bad mood. No matter how beautiful the scenery is, they are not interested. Basically, tourists return halfway, and no one can persist in going to the end. There are problems with the objective conditions. The management of the scenic area does not take any action. They only know how to sell tickets and have no measures. I have never seen such a dirty and messy 5A scenic area.

There is a long way to go from the gate of Keketuohai to the actual entrance of the scenic area, and you need to use your ID card to go through some procedures halfway. After this trip to the entire northern Xinjiang, Keketuohai gave me the feeling that it is optional to go.

If you have time and you are traveling counterclockwise from Urumqi in northern Xinjiang, you can come here for a warm-up tour before arriving at Kanas; if you are traveling clockwise and coming down from Kanas, there is no need to check in here, as the scenery here is not as good as that in Kanas. The most beautiful scenery here is the autumn colors of the hillsides along the way when you are sitting in the scenic area shuttle bus, and the scenery on the roadside when you are about to reach the scenic area.

Keketuohai is a very beautiful place, but unfortunately the weather was bad when we went there, so we didn’t take many photos of Keketuohai. I kept an eye on the weather and prayed that there would be a sunny day when I went to Kanas and Hemu, so that I could meet a group of goats.

Now is the most beautiful time of the year here, with the blue sky, golden woods and colorful rivers, just like a beautiful oil painting.

After getting off the bus, I went through security check and bought tickets and shuttle tickets (130 yuan/person) at the ticket office, and then went to the border station next to it to get a border management area pass. To enter the scenic area, you must first take the shuttle bus. The shuttle bus driver was very good. He introduced us to each scenic spot and left time for us to take pictures. The people of Keketuohai are still very simple and honest.

In autumn, this place is a colorful scene, but now it has become such a horrible sight.

You can drive into the Keketuohai Scenic Area in winter, but you need to sign a self-driving safety agreement.

There are no footprints on the thick snow at the gate of Keketuohai Scenic Area.

To visit the Keketuohai Scenic Area, you need to apply for a border management pass next to the ticket office. The pass will be checked when you take the shuttle bus to the Shimen Reception Center.

There is a shuttle bus from the Waterfall Valley to the Camel Peak inside, which costs 14 yuan for a round trip, but the bus does not stop at any scenic spots along the way.

After entering Keketuohai, you need to take a shuttle bus, which takes about 30-40 minutes.

In this half hour or so, you will see a lot of beautiful scenery but you cannot stop or take pictures, which makes you crazy (ps: you can drive yourself in the off-season or if you know someone, I envy you)

I couldn't help but feel a little regretful that I didn't see this beautiful scenery.

Keketuohai can be visited with a card. We only bought a shuttle bus ticket for four people for 146. When entering the scenic area, take a shuttle bus to the deepest canyon. Keketuohai is located in the Altai Mountains, 48 kilometers northeast of Fuyun County, and the Irtysh River just flows through the town.

The autumn in Keketuohai is still worth seeing. Compared with Kanas and Wucaitan, it can be said to be a niche tourist destination and not many people come here to visit.

You need to hike further into the Shenzhongshan scenic spot. Since we had to rush to Habahe County in the evening, we didn't go any further. After staying at the scenic spot for a while, we took the shuttle bus back. We got off the bus 3 stops away from the exit of the scenic spot and walked to the exit, walking along the river beach and taking pictures, feeling the original ecological river.

There are actually many places to visit in Keketuohai, such as the No. 3 Mine, Kekesuli, etc.

Keketuohai Scenic Area is located in Fuyun County, Altay Prefecture, northern Xinjiang. It is a national 5A-level scenic area, mainly consisting of the Karaxenger earthquake fault zone, Kekesuli, Yilemu Lake, and Irtysh Grand Canyon.

The temperature in Keketuohai was low in the morning, and I was still a little shivering in my T-shirt and jacket. I planned to drive to Kekesuli Lake to watch the sunrise, but the weather was not good. It was a cloudy day. Since I had already gotten up early, I might as well make the best of it. I wandered around the village and unexpectedly got a surprise. I kept going along the main road. Both sides of the road were planted with sunflowers. Although it was not the flowering season, the sunflowers had withered, but a large area of sunflower seeds was left, which also made us very happy. At a fork in the road, we saw a herd of horses slowly crossing the road. We parked the car on the side of the road, got off and followed the horses into the sunflower field. It was the first time I saw sunflower seeds in buds, each one was solid and full.

It is the peak season now, and it took nearly 2 hours just to queue up for the shuttle bus. It takes about 30 minutes to take the shuttle bus from Longmen Square to Shenzhong Mountain. After getting off the bus, you can walk to the attractions you want to visit according to your own situation. From Xiaozhong Mountain to Karazhuole Waterfall, the distance between attractions is about 2 kilometers. Because we are not interested in waterfalls, we walked from Shenzhong Mountain to Xiaozhong Mountain. The scenery in this section is similar. After discussion, we decided to retreat and go to Beitun early.

It seems that our parents’ generation has stronger feelings about Keketuohai. A group of their peers dedicated their youth and passion to this land. The slogans that can be seen everywhere today can more or less reflect the passion of those years.

From the gate of the scenic area, it takes about 1 hour to take the shuttle bus to reach the tourist attraction. The scenery along the way is also very beautiful, with gurgling streams and leisurely livestock drinking water and eating grass everywhere.

The scenic area goes upstream along the Irtysh River, which is very suitable for hiking. It takes 9 hours to go back and forth, and the scenery along the way is beautiful. The shuttle bus can take you to the entrance of the Grand Canyon, which is about 10 kilometers away from the scenic area, and you still need to hike 7 kilometers to complete it.

The biggest highlight of the entire scenic area is the golden birch trees everywhere you look. This was very attractive to us children who have lived in subtropical areas for many years and have never seen fallen leaves in autumn. We kept taking pictures.

You need to apply for a border pass in Keketuohai, but it is not that strict. You can just print the ID cards of several people together and apply for it directly.

There are also shuttle buses, which take a long time to get to the end.

Keketuohai is not a sea, but a river as beautiful as an emerald.

Keketuohai Scenic Area should be visited in the afternoon or early in the morning. Zhongshan Mountain will be backlit in the morning. We originally planned to get up early and go there early, but something went wrong and we went there at noon, which was backlit. You must sit on the right side of the scenic area bus. The scenery is beautiful. Choose the right seat for both round trips. It takes about 40 minutes to reach Zhongshan Mountain by the shuttle bus. There are herdsmen in the scenic area, so there must be cow dung and horse dung on the road. It is beautiful with mountains and rivers, but it is a scenic area that tests your physical strength.

This time I only visited the Grand Canyon. I didn't have time or plan to visit Yepuoling, the Golden Triangle, Shuimogou, and the Karaxenger earthquake fault zone. If you want to visit all of them, you must have one day.

After getting up, I found it was drizzling, and it still rained when I got to Keketuohai. The rain hit the instep and the water seeped in. Although there were shower caps available, I bought waterproof shoe covers for anti-slip reasons. They cost 15 yuan. But they were really useful. There were a lot of transfer teams in the scenic area, and they excreted feces at any time. With the rain, the road was sticky when they stepped on it. Shoe covers can be waterproof and prevent shoes from being dirty by the feces.

After entering the scenic area by shuttle bus, the rain gradually stopped, and the sun occasionally showed its face. The mountain was shrouded in clouds and mist, and the autumn leaves gradually turned yellow. When we got off the bus, we came across Shizhong Mountain, which looked like a huge bell on the ground, very majestic. After crossing the Amirsala Bridge, you can climb the mountain on one side and head towards the Irtysh Grand Canyon on the other. In order to see the whole picture, I chose to climb the mountain on the left side first. The steps were slippery after the rain, and some people slipped, so I slowed down for safety. I kept looking up and looking back, and there was always a better composition, so I took turns to shoot with my mobile phone and camera. When the sun appeared, the leaves looked more golden, and everyone rushed to take pictures. There are many pits arranged like caves on the mountain. It seems that it is a Buddhist cave landform? After going down the mountain and entering the Irtysh Grand Canyon, I met several waves of transfer teams. Time is limited, and I didn't go in very far, and the car inside stopped, so I couldn't finish the 7-kilometer journey. So I went down to the rich river, and the water was cold, clear and pure. Are there really treasures in the stones by the river? But my eyesight is poor and I can't see any difference. I can't make a fortune.

The 3-hour tour was too intense. What was super frustrating was that the queue for the shuttle bus was 500 meters long, which took nearly an hour and a half, and there were several small hailstorms. For some reason, the shuttle bus almost never came up. If it was because of the traffic jam during the transfer, it wouldn't be so slow. I feel that there is a big problem with the vehicle dispatch in the scenic area.

Tickets are 90 yuan/person. At 9:37 in the morning, the moon was still high in the sky. After waiting for the tour guide to buy tickets, we took the shuttle bus from the entrance to the scenic area, which took about 40 minutes. The shuttle bus costs 36 yuan/person. After getting off the shuttle bus, my husband, who had eaten breakfast, said he was hungry.... So he had mutton soup (12 yuan/bowl) in the scenic area. Ingredients: corn, carrots, and sheep bones. The mutton soup is very delicious and warms the body. The mutton skewers cost 8 yuan/skewer. The tour guide said that the order of the mutton skewers is one thin, one fat, one thin, and one fat. This arrangement avoids getting tired of eating. The fat one is the sheep's butt. When we took the shuttle bus to leave the scenic area, we happened to meet the sheep and horses that were migrating. So we asked the driver if we could get off here. As soon as the door opened, everyone followed the sheep's butt.

How to distinguish male and female sheep: When male sheep walk, their buttocks swing forward and backward, while female sheep's buttocks swing left and right. There were so many sheep, I just stared at the sheep's buttocks, twisting and turning, and kept hearing everyone say that sheep are so cute. Sheep are really cute, but I kept thinking of the leader saying that a sheep can be sold for at least 2,000. I kept calculating in my head, 2,000 for a sheep, 20,000 for ten sheep, 40,000 for twenty sheep, a mobile vault is running wildly in front of me, should I rush in with a knife, hold a sheep with both hands, and get 4,000? I am really a vulgar woman. Say goodbye to the money sheep, continue to move forward, wait for the main group in the birch forest and leave.

Although we hurried into the Keketuohai Scenic Area and didn't have a good time, the only thing that could comfort us was the magnificent scenery of Keketuohai. Although it was getting dark, the reputation of the World Geopark was not covered, it was spectacular!

Keketuohai Scenic Area is one of the core scenic spots of autumn colors in northern Xinjiang. Go to the scenic area early in the morning and apply for a border pass (Keketuohai Scenic Area borders Mongolia, and you need to apply for a border pass. You can apply for it with your ID card). Change the scenery and take the bus to the scenic area. Go directly to the terminal and start walking and taking pictures along the Irtysh River. Although there are more fallen leaves, the autumn leaves all over the ground are still a beautiful sight.

You need to apply for a temporary pass (copy your ID card and stamp it) to enter the Keketuohai Scenic Area. You can copy and stamp it at the ticket gate, but I never used this pass. Although the Keketuohai Scenic Area is a 5A scenic area, there are very few round-trip vehicles in the scenic area. You have to wait for an hour. The scenery along the way is still quite beautiful, especially there are herds of cattle and sheep, and there will even be large herds of cattle and sheep running to the road for a walk. Get off at the foot of Dazhong Mountain and then hike up the mountain. The Keketuohai Scenic Area is mostly pictographic mountains and pictographic stones. Only by careful observation can you discover the wonders. You can also get close to various animals here, and cattle, sheep, camels, horses, etc. can all be seen before your eyes.

We were lucky enough to meet a group of goats who were foraging, playing and accompanying us in the mountains. When we were going down the mountain, they lined up while I bought more than 10 skewers of lamb. You have to know how to grasp the timing, as there are many people waiting for the bus and many people buying lamb skewers. Otherwise, the lamb skewers will not be ready by the time you can get on the bus.

The area is so big that it is beyond imagination. It takes half an hour to get there by sightseeing bus. The hiking route is about seven kilometers long, so you can spend a whole day there. The sun has not come out yet in the early morning, and I am shivering even in my heavy winter clothes. The birch forest in Keketuohai has turned yellow. The sun rises and the sunlight shines, making the gurgling water and pebbles more lively.

I think the most beautiful scenery in Keketuohai Scenic Area is on the roadside, which is the place where the shuttle bus passes in more than half an hour. Unfortunately, you cannot get off the bus to take pictures unless you walk in.

The last minibus out of the scenic area is at 7:30. Because the entrance and exit are on both sides of the Irtysh River, you have to take the right-hand seat in the direction of travel when leaving to enjoy the good scenery.

Keketuohai Scenic Area is suitable for hiking and camping. It is not too much like Yosemite! We took a quick glance and could not appreciate its beauty at all.

The morning in Keketuohai is indeed cold. We set out to enter the scenic area at 9 o'clock. Fortunately, we left early. After visiting the scenic area and returning to the entrance, we realized how wise it was to come early in the morning. The entrance was full of tourists waiting to enter, and all the scenic area vehicles were running on the road, and there was no time to dispatch them.

The scenic area shuttle bus is divided into open and closed types. We took the open type, which was very cold and reminded me of the battery bus in Aden. My hands were numb from the cold.

The sun gradually rises, and the trees are particularly bright in color under the sunlight. It is the perfect time to go to Keketuohai, when the leaves are at their yellowest.

The whole mountain is integrated, and the shape of the rock resembles the Clothes Drying Rock in Wuyi Mountain.

Whether it is a maple tree or a poplar tree, in Keketuohai, they are all covered with golden armor.

When we entered the canyon in the morning, the valley floor was still in shadow, but now with the sun shining on it, the canyon has become lively.

The pastoral scenery along the roadside is refreshing.

A few ducks can be seen in the center of the lake, but more are hiding in the reeds, and only their quacking can be heard.

It is not allowed to drive into Keketuohai. According to the instructions at the gate, I paid a parking fee of 10 yuan, and then went to the gate to buy a ticket. Before buying a ticket, you need to apply for a border pass. Many people are queuing up to copy it. It costs 1 yuan per copy. The border pass here is actually an ID card with an official seal. Because I prepared it at home in advance, I didn't queue up and stamped it directly. I was shocked when I entered the scenic area. There was a queue of dozens of meters, four or five people in a row, just squeezing and waiting for the shuttle bus. I waited for half an hour before I got on the shuttle bus. Many people in the queue were of poor quality. In addition, the management of the scenic area is still problematic. There is not even someone to maintain order.

As soon as you get on the shuttle bus, you will pass through a birch forest. The bus will not stop on the way there, but will go directly to Shenzhong Mountain, which is the end of the shuttle bus. On the way back, the bus will stop when it reaches the birch forest, and you can get on and off. You can go there first and get off when you pass by the birch forest on the way back.

The shuttle bus drove along the small road in the scenic area. The scenery was beautiful along the way. The water gradually turned green and blue. There were golden birch forests and larch trees on both sides of the river. I got goose bumps all over my body. I was shocked by the beauty of Altay when I first arrived in Xinjiang! The radio in the shuttle bus kept playing the explanation, which was very detailed and very good!

After the vehicle arrived at Shenzhong Mountain, everyone got off the bus. There were a lot of people. Everyone basically toured around Shenzhong Mountain and walked along the river. The color of the river became more and more beautiful. After passing Shenzhong Mountain and walking inside, there were fewer people. The color of the river was different at different angles, and the color of the entire Keketuohai Canyon was also very bright, pure green and pure yellow!

Keketuohai is beautiful, but after seeing the colorful Kanas and traveling by car for several days, the attraction of this place is not so strong. Shenzhong Mountain is named because of its shape similar to a big bell. In fact, it feels more like a weight, hahahaha. We came across a birch forest and played hide-and-seek with the sun.

Take the shuttle bus directly to the Shenzhong Mountain parking lot, and walk about 500 meters to reach Shenzhong Mountain. Starting from Shenzhong Mountain, there is a 6.5-kilometer hiking route without shuttle buses. This hiking route is the most beautiful in the scenic area.

We first climbed to the halfway point opposite Shenzhong Mountain to admire Shenzhong Mountain and the canyon, then went down to the bottom of the valley and took the most beautiful hiking route.

The route is nearly seven kilometers long, with endless beautiful scenery. Due to time constraints, we turned back after reaching Xiaozhong Mountain. In fact, you can arrange a whole day here, bring dry food and water, wander in an environment without any pollution, walk and stop, and there are not many uphills. It is not tiring at all, and occasionally take a few photos of beautiful women. How pleasant.

We arrived at Keketuohai around 6pm. The last bus to the scenic spot left at 7:30pm, so we had plenty of time to play. Keketuohai is not a sea, but a blue river bay. The river water is clear blue visible to the naked eye, and there are large tracts of poplar and birch forests on the riverside. At this moment, they are all golden, falling on the ground, covering the earth with a brilliant blanket.

My friend didn't recommend Keketuohai before. It's true that compared with Kanas, it's a little bit small, but as the first stop in northern Xinjiang, it's a good start. In the scenery of Keketuohai under the sunset, cattle and sheep are grazing quietly, the Irtysh River runs through it, it's incredibly blue, the mountains are colorful, and the ground is covered with golden fallen leaves.

After passing the security check at the gate, we took the Jingjiao electric car to the Shenzhongshan terminal on the mountain, and the car meandered up along the clear Irtysh River to the depths of the Keketuohai Grand Canyon. If you are not in a hurry, you don't have to take the car, because taking the car makes us miss many beautiful views. You can enjoy the gorgeous autumn colors of the canyon while strolling along the way.

The burning red European black poplars, golden birch and poplars, indigo spruce, fir and larch, and the herds of cattle and sheep that occasionally appear at the bottom of the hillside gully form an endless landscape that makes people marvel at the creation of nature. When we arrived at Shenzhong Mountain, we got off the car and continued to move forward, going deep into the autumn forests on both sides of the river valley, taking photos, walking, and enjoying the scenery along the way. The mid-autumn sunshine gradually penetrated the peaks on both sides of the canyon and sprinkled on the colorful forest belts on both sides of the river valley, which was as rich as a beautiful oil painting and pleasing to the eye.

The best season to travel to Keketuohai is from late August to early October, with late September being the best. Today is September 24, which is the Mid-Autumn Festival. At this time, the autumn wind turns the entire Keketuohai into a golden world, presenting you with a beautiful scene that is extremely brilliant.

On such an autumn day, sit quietly on the rocks by the river, listen to the gurgling water, look at the autumn colors, and let your thoughts fly.

According to local people, it starts snowing in Keketuohai after November every year. The mountains are covered with snow, and the colorful autumn leaves will gradually fall. A young Kazakh man on the scenic bus told me that the autumn leaves will all fall by the end of October. Thank God, we found the right time to get here. In the weather forecast for the first two days, it was rainy and cloudy here, but we were unexpectedly given a cloudy day with sunshine, so that we can have the opportunity to enjoy the gorgeous autumn that we can't meet in Jiangnan! Some friends asked about the problem of wearing clothes. The temperature difference between day and night in northern Xinjiang is very large. When there is sunshine during the day, like today, we wear a long-sleeved shirt, a thin down jacket, and a pair of jeans. But at night, covered with a quilt, if there is no heating (generally, the hotel does not turn on the heating and air conditioning in this season), it still feels cold, so everyone should be well prepared.

There is a bend on the road almost to Keketuohai, and there is a beautiful scenery. People who came out of Keketuohai Scenic Area said that it is much more beautiful here than inside, because there are more stone mountains inside. If you want to know what to see inside, when you go to the men's toilet to urinate, there are several pictures hanging on the wall with several scenic spots written on them. I guess you will know what is inside after reading them. The total ticket price seems to be 105, because several friends are not interested in walking and viewing the stone mountains inside, so they choose not to go in. All the people entering and leaving the scenic area are elderly tour groups. Of course, if you are here to shoot blockbusters, you must go in. We took pictures at a place halfway, which was unexpectedly beautiful. I also met a few uncles who drove motorcycles from Shenzhen! They also made tea on the spot to see the scenery and chat about life. Maybe the fun of traveling is to meet all kinds of people and listen to everyone's different voices.

The autumn scenery of Keketuohai is absolutely beautiful. Many people may think of the scenery of Kanas, Baihaba and Hemu. The birch forest of Keketuohai is not inferior at all, and it feels like there is more to come. The morning sun shines on the yellow leaves all over the mountain, which is a very bright yellow. Intoxicating~

After buying the ticket, take the scenic area shuttle bus to enter. There will be a shuttle bus passing by the Shimen point. The gate is very narrow, but the driver can drive a small minibus through it. Sitting in the car, I was worried for him.

There were still very few people when we entered, but the temperature was very low because we were very close to the lake, so we had to keep warm. It took more than an hour to hike through the Keketuohai Scenic Area. After visiting the Shenzhongshan Observation Deck, we took the shuttle bus directly to the end of the scenic area. The scenery was almost the same during the period, so we didn't recommend wasting time. The end point was the waterfall. How can I put it? This waterfall is so small that I really don't recommend coming in.

You usually need to take a shuttle bus to get in and out of Keketuohai, and the one-way time is about 25 minutes. The normal walking route of Keketuohai is 7km. You can choose to take the internal shuttle bus for 5.5km (charged separately, 14 yuan round trip)

The recommended time for visiting Keketuohai is 6-8 hours. It is recommended to arrive at around 11 am. The temperature in Keketuohai is acceptable when you go there, and there are yellow leaves to see.

At 11 o'clock, we were still picking up stones by the small river outside Keketuohai. We shouldn't have been delayed for so long on the road, which directly shortened the time to visit the scenic spot. The legendary mine and Keketuohai are different attractions. But the distance is very close, so we didn't go to the mine this time.

After parking and getting tickets, it was already 1pm. The driver said that time was tight and we could only play for four hours. After entering the gate, we took a 20-minute shuttle bus and skipped the first attraction (birch forest) and went directly to the main line. The temperature in Keketuohai was relatively high at that time, and the leaves had not fallen yet. It was the best time. There was a strong contrast of yellow and green everywhere. The scenery was a bit like Yosemite Park, with mountains, rocks, water and trees.

At the deepest border of Keketuohai, there are PLA comrades who have been guarding the border. There is a small shop next to it, which provides food and drinks to tourists and also provides food for the PLA. We sponsored meat skewers, lamb chops and yogurt.

The scenery of Keketuohai is dominated by steep rocks and streams all the way, which can be regarded as an appetizer for the scenery of Xinjiang.

Since we arrived too late, the ticket seller kindly reminded us that we could only get to the main attraction, Shenzhong Mountain, by taking a 40-minute bus after exchanging our tickets, and then take the last shuttle bus out at 7:30. We regretted not being able to walk along the river, visit the Irtysh Grand Canyon, and the birch forest by the river outside the scenic area.

You need to apply for a border pass next to the ticket office when you enter. The yellow and green Keketuohai is surprisingly beautiful, with blue sky and white clouds, yellow and green mountains, and clear water, like a beautiful landscape painting. Because it happened to be the time for the local Kazakh herdsmen to relocate, batches of cattle and sheep needed to be relocated, so many places that the local trains could go to were no longer accessible.

There are more than a dozen scenic spots, including birch forest, Shuimogou, Shenzhong Mountain, hot springs, etc., all along the Irtysh River. The section of the road in the birch forest is particularly like the autumn in Xinduqiao.

There is a large parking lot at the entrance of the scenic spot. After security check, we drove in. We came quite early, and it is not the peak tourist season, so there are not many people.

Because Keketuohai is close to the border, we need to apply for a border pass. The seven of us provided our ID cards and applied for a border pass. The so-called border pass is a piece of paper with the number of people written on it and a red seal from the border agency, without having to see the person in person.

From the park gate to the scenic area, you need to take the scenic area tour bus. The tour bus drove into the scenic area along a riverside road. This river should be the Irtysh River. The scenery along the way is also very beautiful with green mountains and clear waters. After about half an hour's drive, we came to a scenic spot in the scenic area-Shizhong Mountain. This is a huge stone. Because it looks like a big bell, it is called "Shizhong Mountain". The Irtysh River flows around Shizhong Mountain, and you can hike along the path by the river. We are lazy, so we stopped at a rest area next to Shizhong Mountain to enjoy the scenery and eat snacks.

When we arrived at the entrance of Keketuohai Scenic Area, we found that everyone was walking out, and no one was walking in. Fortunately, we didn't have to queue up. It was our first time to go to the scenic area, so we didn't have to queue up. Then we took the shuttle bus to see the scenery inside the scenic area. The staff said that the last shuttle bus was at 7:30, so we only had a few hours inside. Inside, we felt the beautiful scenery of nature, and the cattle, sheep and horses following behind.

Keketuohai is actually a river in the canyon. It takes about half an hour to take a shuttle bus from the entrance of the scenic area to get there, and then you can walk slowly along the river. The water quality is quite good, emerald green. From time to time, one or two birch trees turn yellow, which is quite beautiful. If the weather is good, it is still worth a walk.

When we arrived at Keketuohai, there were so many people waiting for the shuttle bus. We waited for more than an hour, and many people impatiently shouted "refund". Compared with Tianshan Tianchi, the management of the scenic area is indeed not perfect. On the one hand, there are too few shuttle buses, the models are too small, and the number of passengers on each trip is very small; on the other hand, I saw several empty buses parked at the door. So many people were waiting, I don’t know why they just didn’t use those buses. The season we went was early autumn, and the trees didn’t all turn yellow, which was a bit regrettable. Compared with the attractions inside, I think the attractions on the road are more beautiful. Unfortunately, the shuttle buses are fully sealed, and the driving speed is fast, so it’s impossible to take pictures. If you want to stop and take pictures at any time and are not short of money, you can choose to drive your own car in. It seems that a five-seater car is 1,000 yuan.

From the park entrance, you need to take the scenic area's shuttle bus. You cannot change buses. You will stop at one scenic spot for a while and then go to the next one. Finally, you will reach Zhongshan. The following scenic spots can be reached on foot. There are also self-funded electric vehicles that take people back and forth.

The management of the scenic area is good, the planning is reasonable, and it is also suitable for the elderly and children to visit. There are plank roads along the river and the environment is well protected.

Zhongshan, a towering rock rising from the ground like a big bell, also has a poignant love story, which the recording on the train will tell you.

The electric car can take you to the innermost part of the scenic area. If you continue walking forward for a while, you will reach the end. There is a military checkpoint and tourists are not allowed to pass through. That is the border with Mongolia.



At the innermost part of the scenic area, I found a hotel that is about to be built. It has a good design and is said to be a hot spring hotel.

The scenic spot opened for security check at 8:30. It was really cold in Keketuohai in the morning, only about 6℃, so you can wear thick clothes and thick pants. Because it rained, the mountains were full of clouds and mist in the morning, and it really felt like a fairyland on earth. Although there is no sea in Keketuohai, it still makes people feel that the trip is worthwhile, and there is a feeling of purifying the body and mind. But don't drink the milk there, it feels like it's brewed.
