When I first heard the name, I thought it was a place similar to a minority village. In fact, it can be summarized as a karst landform landscape of "underground river + cave". Moreover, compared with other tiankengs, caves, etc. that I have visited before, this place better shows an "ongoing" formation process.

The entire scenic area is divided into three stages: the first stage is the boat rafting on the ground, which is also the place with the highest altitude. The small stream for rafting is blocked by a small dam. The rocks on both sides are very narrow because this stream was originally eroded underground and was only seen again because the rocks on the top collapsed.

The second stage is to follow the stream down to a place deeper underground called the "Hall of Lions", so named because one of the rocks looks like a lion, but the biggest highlight is the large size of the place, so some scenes of "The Myth" were also shot here.

The third stage is further cutting, so you can see many pure "cave" type landscapes here, but there is also a layered landscape like terraces that is extremely rare in the country.

Jiuxiang is worth a visit. The cave is very beautiful. It is big and the stalactites are long and thin like the stone forest. After the boat ride, there is a fork in the road after Panhong Bridge. The tour guide said that the road is high and shaky, and it is recommended that the elderly and children should not go. But it is not bad, and we did not walk far. The stalactites are very beautiful, and you can see blind fish. It is the first time I have seen fish without eyes, which is really amazing. Going further back, you can see the filming location of "Myth", the male and female double waterfalls. Walking along the trail, I feel that this cave is suitable for the tomb of ancient emperors.

If you don't visit Jiuxiang, you've come to Yunnan in vain. This slogan is very profound. As the first stop of my Yunnan trip, Jiuxiang didn't give me too many surprises, but it didn't disappoint me either. It also has a unique flavor!

The whole way is uphill with stairs, and you will doubt your life... But bee friends with poor physical strength or inconvenient legs and feet don’t have to worry. There are sedan bearers in the last section who can carry you out. If I remember correctly, the journey takes more than ten minutes and costs more than 100 yuan. Generally speaking, Jiuxiang is more interesting than Shilin. It shuttles between the cracks in the canyon rocks. The whole karst cave is colorful and beautiful.

The traffic is really inconvenient, and the road conditions from Yiliang to Jiuxiang are not very good. We set off from Kunming Railway Station at 7:20 and arrived at the scenic spot at 11:30. We originally wanted to go all the way to Stone Forest, but we gave up the Stone Forest when we saw that we were running out of time. The scenery is still very good. The dry forest in the north is already blooming in spring. The cold wind blew on the bus on the way back.

When you come out of the slide, there will be people looking at you, which is quite comfortable. The scenic spot takes about 2 hours to play.

I signed up for a one-day tour of Shilin Jiuxiang. It was OK. It was just a karst cave, similar to many scenic spots in the mountains of Zhejiang.

I went there during the National Day holiday in 2016. I took a bus to the Eastern Bus Station and bought a bus to Yiliang County for 25 yuan, which took about an hour to arrive. After arriving at the bus station in the county, I bought a bus to Jiuxiang for 10 yuan, which took about 50 minutes. The same thing happened on the return trip. There was a bus back to Yiliang at the entrance of the scenic area. The ticket price for Jiuxiang ranged from 72, 60, or 45 yuan. I forgot the exact price. The tour lasted about 2 and a half hours, and you can take a boat. The canyon was the filming location of "Little Big Soldier", and the cave was very beautiful under different lights.

It costs 25 yuan to take a bus from the East Station to Yiliang Passenger Transport Center, but 27 yuan to take a bus from Yiliang back to Kunming East Station. Similarly, it costs 10 yuan from Yiliang to the scenic area, but 15 yuan to come back. I don't quite understand their rule.

The cave is very beautiful and crowded. I didn't even take the boat. Except for the slightly cold water area, it was not cold at all! Because I had to walk up and down the stairs, I was sweating in my thick clothes. The lights were gorgeous, and many stalactites had strange names and stories (so good at making up stories, hahaha). The water area was very slippery, the waterfall was very turbulent, and there were many inscriptions on the stone walls. Finally, I waited for half an hour on the cable car. The cable car was relatively simple and open-top, but it was very cool.

The only thing that makes people feel very upset is that the urban-rural integration of Yiliang, Dongxiang, is invincible. The bus stopped by the side of the road. Hao Xin's long legs and Tao Ge's northeastern man's body can't fit in... It took us an hour and a half to reach the scenic area. People like us who travel independently (mainly to buy student tickets so we go to the scene to buy) can only buy tickets at the door now, half price 45. Buy the cable car ticket at the cable car, and the cable car ticket is 30, there is no student ticket. Walk around inside and take pictures, plus the time of the cable car, it can be finished in 3 hours.

The last bus back to Yiling was at six o'clock. I was lucky to have a seat. If I didn't have a seat, I would have to stand for an hour on the way back. It’s a bit scary just thinking about it.

We waited a long time for the last bus No. 22 to leave, but it drove very fast. I guess the driver wanted to get off work early.

By the way, the pineapples in the scenic area are very sweet and not expensive.

The scenic area is very large and some of the caves are very spectacular. They are worth a visit and are a masterpiece of nature.
