Yunnan University has beautiful scenery. The Huize Courtyard, Yingqiu Courtyard and other landscapes are worth seeing, especially the famous Ginkgo Path, which is one of the most beautiful views on the Yunnan University campus.
There are 95 steps when entering the campus from the south gate, implying the meaning of "the supreme ruler".
Behind Huize Courtyard is Zhigong Hall. Unlike Huize Courtyard, this is a typical Chinese-style building with bright red pillars, carved beams and painted buildings. It is currently the auditorium of Yunnan University.
There is a row of relatively low houses on the east side, which was the examination hall during the imperial examination era and was called "Gongyuan".

Yunnan University's architecture is a combination of Chinese and Western styles, with noble French buildings, mysterious Greek columns, and ancient Chinese imperial examination halls. The open and rigorous style makes Yunnan University more culturally rich. The teaching buildings, library, and laboratory buildings are hidden in the flowers. In autumn, the Yunnan University campus is particularly wonderful. The school road is lined with golden ginkgo trees, and pieces of ginkgo leaves quietly fall beside the students reading under the trees. The little squirrels hang leisurely on the pine trees, and students occasionally take food to tease them, a harmonious scene
Exiting from the north gate of Cuihu Park in downtown Kunming, you will arrive at Yunnan University. This is the main campus of Yunnan University, which was founded in December 1922. Its original name was "Private Donglu University" in its early days. So it is not unreasonable to call this old campus of Yunnan University "Donglu Park". "Studying in Donglu Park, watching the wind, flowers, snow and moon pass by in four seasons with a smile, and looking coldly at the reality of a materialistic society."
After exiting Xicang Lane, walk along Qianju Street and turn to Wenlin Street, then walk for about 10 minutes to reach Yunnan University.
Yunnan University, formerly known as Private Donglu University, was founded in December 1922. It was renamed Provincial Yunnan University in 1934 and National Yunnan University in 1938. It is one of the first batch of universities in China to be key construction projects of the 211 Project, and is also a key construction university in western China and a university jointly built by the province and the ministry.
Walk out of Cuihu Park from the north gate, turn left and walk to "Cuihu North Road", then walk a little to the right and you will reach "Yunnan University". The south gate is very low-key with only a plaque. Enter the park and climb the stairs to see a small pond with many goldfish in it.
Going up is the landmark building of Yunnan University: Huize Courtyard, the outer wall of which is mostly made of red bricks, with several Roman columns in front of the main entrance and a large lawn behind. Because we can't go in to visit, we can only observe the interior space from the side door. The first floor is covered with tiles and there are white walls on both sides. There are two European-style arc-shaped plaster arches in the corridor. The overall look is very simple and elegant.
Walking from "Lingyun Road" to "Gutong Road" and finally turning to "Gingko Road", I saw many tourists stopping to look at a tree. When I got closer, I found that it was a squirrel hanging upside down on the bottom of the tree. I have seen squirrels dodging on trees when they see tourists before, but this squirrel was not afraid of tourists at all, instead it ate the snacks in the tourists' hands.
Going further ahead is a cement playground, and looking into the distance is an old-style auditorium. After passing the playground, turn right and there is a small path on the left, which is the first cafeteria of Yunnan University. A glance through the window shows that all the food is appetizing. Since we had lunch late, we did not choose to have dinner here.
Yunnan University (Yunnan University) is a famous Chinese university with a profound cultural heritage and international influence. It is abbreviated as Yunnan University (YNU). It was originally named Private Donglu University. It was founded in December 1922, renamed Provincial Yunnan University in 1934, and changed to National Yunnan University in 1938. In 1946, it was listed as one of the 15 most influential universities in China in the world by the Encyclopedia Britannica. It was named Yunnan University in 1950. For details, please refer to China-TravelNote Travel Notes: http://www.mafengwo.cn/i/11847338.html
There are many teaching buildings made of red bricks in the school, giving people the illusion of returning to Xiamen. Jilin University and Xiamen University also have many such large red brick cylindrical teaching buildings.
The school hasn't started yet, there aren't many students, most of them are tourists, some students are exercising in the playground~
The whole campus is very large, and the greening is also very well done, giving people a very comfortable feeling~
The old campus on Yieryi Street is worth a visit. It is a very beautiful campus with distinctive buildings. The beauty of Yunnan University is created by architecture, plants and humanities. Formerly known as Private Donglu University, it was founded in 1922. Strolling in this century-old campus, you can see old buildings everywhere, such as Huize Courtyard, Zhigong Hall, Zeqiu Hall, Yingqiu Courtyard, Donghaoshe... Each building has its own story. In the early morning and evening, you will occasionally encounter squirrels under the pine forest and persimmon trees.
Its architecture is unique. All buildings are earth-red, low and wide! It reflects a sense of simplicity, elegance and grandeur! The landmark building is the bell tower. As soon as I walked to the gate of Yunnan University, I was struck by its beautiful school gate.
The trees in Yunda are tall and luxuriant, and they are cast in the shadows among the buildings, like a shy bride with her face half covered by a pipa.
Walking into the campus from the gate of Yunnan University, after just a few steps, you will see tall and steep stairs in front of you. Some people say that there are 95 steps in total, and the founder of the school used it to symbolize his "supreme" status in Yunnan University.
The clouds, sunlight, tree shadows and lawns attracted my attention. Bathed in the fragrance of the grass and the warm winter sun, I wanted to find a chair anywhere to sit down and enjoy this rare scene.
On one side of Cuihu Park is the entrance to Yunnan University. Going up the stairs, you will see a building in the style of the Republic of China.
The afternoon sun shines through the ancient buildings, creating a harmonious and peaceful beauty, making the ups and downs of the old times looming and inviting people to stop and take pictures. Although it is late autumn, there are still many girls wearing thin clothes from the Republic of China, changing their poses in front of the camera.
Continuing to walk further into the campus, the sun gradually set, and the angle of light changed at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Finally, I saw a golden color in the distance. I couldn't tell whether it was the color of the afterglow or the true color of the leaves. I just felt the light of a tree in front of me. It was Ginkgo Avenue. Almost all the tourists gathered here. The ginkgo trees were still the same ginkgo trees, and there was no essential difference from those in Beijing and Xi'an.
TIPS: Cuihu Park is very close to Yunnan University, about ten minutes' walk away; Yunnan University has no access control, but cars are not allowed in some places; you can see little squirrels in the ginkgo forest, and there are a lot of children feeding them; the various archways on Yunnan University's buildings are very tall; if you take a taxi from the north gate of Donglu Campus, remember to cross the overpass to the gate of the other campus to wait for the taxi, as many lanes in Kunming are one-way.
Recommended playing time: 2 hours
Recommendation index: 4 stars
Yunnan University is still very impressive. Although the facade is not big, the archways are super tall. We went to the Donglu campus, which is closer from Cuihu Park; the other campus is not far away, just across the road, and you can reach it by walking on the pedestrian bridge.
I originally wanted to cross the Yunnan University Donglu Campus and then go to another campus. But I stayed in the ginkgo forest for a long time, so I just took a Didi and left.
There is a small path on the left side of the entrance, lined with trees and camellias, leading to Wenjin Building, which is similar to the school's security department.
Wenjin Building, really, is so—high—
Oh, other people’s university, how great.
Later, we walked to the Biology Building, where the Ginkgo Forest is. Although it is winter, the scenery here is a bit monotonous. But you can still see a lot of fallen ginkgo trees, which are golden all over the ground and super beautiful. If it is the right season, it will definitely be super beautiful.
I had heard that Yunnan University was very beautiful, so I came here because of its reputation. However, the road from Dianchi Lake to Yunnan University was jammed because it passed through Cuihu Lake and it happened to be the weekend. I couldn't find a parking place when I arrived at Yunnan University, so I drove around it twice. The car was parked far away, and I walked slowly along the railway track. My favorite Huize Courtyard is a French-style building, which was completed in 1924. Although the bell tower has no special features, it is the landmark building of Yunnan University after all, so I must take a picture of it. The yellow ginkgo trees of Yunnan University attracted a large number of tourists, and it was crowded. People who have been to Tengchong Ginkgo Village said that they didn't want to go through the hustle and bustle, so they decided to find another way.
There are three platforms designed from the ground to the entrance of the building. The trail is named "Shenglong Road" and has a total of 95 steps. It does not lead directly to the building but has a slight turn, which implies that a dragon is flying in the sky.
I happened to meet some Yunnan University students wearing ethnic minority costumes taking photos on the "Thang Long Road".
Jiayan Restaurant is located diagonally opposite Yunnan University and next to Cuihu Park. It was rebuilt from the former residence of Yuan Jiagu, the top scholar in the imperial examination in the Qing Dynasty.
Like many universities, Yunnan University also gives people a quaint first impression. I saw on Weibo that the ginkgo forest and squirrels are the biggest attractions when visiting Yunnan University this season, so I went there. The entire ginkgo forest is about 300 to 400 meters long. Maybe because of the temperature, the leaves are half yellow and half green, but there are still many tourists taking photos, and some taking wedding photos. The ginkgo path is very lively. I also encountered a cute little squirrel. A child fed it with melon seeds. It carefully took the food, climbed up to a high place to eat it, and then climbed down to wait for tourists to feed it.
This time I visited the old campus of Yunnan University. Generally speaking, the horticultural landscape in the university is really unique, and it can even be said to be like a large plant viewing garden. When I was playing, I happened to catch the gardeners watering the plants. The sunlight shining through the bright sky formed one or two rainbows, which was so beautiful~
This is where several great men have stayed. There is also a monument to martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country. The buildings of the Republic of China have a unique view. The school is open to the public, so tourists have already regarded this place as a must-visit place for Kunming tourism. If family and friends can chat, sketch, and take photos, this is the best choice.
A special reminder: there is only one public toilet in the campus, not far from the east gate, which is a brick-red building. Don’t waste time trying to go to a teaching building to relieve yourself, because you cannot enter any building without a student card or a pass, so don’t go to the wrong building, remember!
As soon as I entered Yunnan University, I was first attracted by the row of tall stairs in front of its gate. The stone stairs have traces of time. Because it just rained, the smoothed parts on the outside are still a bit slippery. After walking up the stairs, there is a different kind of ancient building. I don’t remember its predecessor and its current use. I just feel that even though the building is quite old, it still has its own unique flavor and beauty. From the stairs to this old house, it happens to be the place where most people take photos and take pictures. I guess Yunnan University must be a famous university among the Internet celebrities.
Walking to one side of the building, through the iron gate on the side, you can vaguely see the warm yellow lights in the building. In an instant, the building becomes so vivid and full of vitality, which makes people feel incredible. Then we wandered and unlocked without a purpose. We met many tourists of all ages who came to admire and reminisce about college time like us. We saw boys and girls rehearsing dances and choruses in the square, heard melodious and slow piano sounds from the windows on the first floor of the teaching building, as well as the birds singing in the bushes, and the laughter on the playground... In the end, I really wanted to sigh again, "College is so good."
PS:
1. According to the tips from enthusiastic netizens, it is said that the internet-famous squirrels of Yunnan University are usually found near Ginkgo Avenue; friends who want to visit the little squirrels can bring some nuts such as melon seeds and go there to meet them.
2. Yunnan University also has a famous cat. Friends who are interested can follow the official Weibo to learn more.
3. Squirrel Weibo: Squirrel of Yunnan University Cat Weibo: Cat of Yunnan University
There are many "most beautiful university campuses" in China, and Yunnan University must be one of them. Not only because of the history of its campus, the characteristics of its architecture, but also the environment of the entire area, with Cuihu Lake outside and beautiful scenery inside. In addition to the historic campus buildings and celebrity residences, the most famous thing is the Ginkgo Avenue that turns yellow every year. You can tell by the stone steps at the entrance! Unfortunately, it is temporarily closed to the public during the special period.
Yunnan University is a university I once considered, but unfortunately I didn't choose it because of my major and other reasons. So I chose it as my first stop in Yunnan. This is the university I wanted to go to the most. Yunnan University is well-deserved for its beautiful scenery, especially the famous Ginkgo Road. The buildings are of various styles.
The campus of Yunnan University is dotted with ancient trees and old buildings. I found a stone bench, sipped tea and daydreamed, accompanied by the sound of harmonica coming from afar with the wind, which turned out to be Liang Zhu.
Yunnan University feels a bit like Yuquan and Zhijiang, with a sense of historical vicissitudes. Zijingang is still too young.
Kunming continued to be scorching hot without a cloud in the sky. I walked from Yunnan Normal University to Yunnan University, which is not far away, under the scorching sun. The campus environment of Yunnan University felt better than that of Normal University. It was shaded by green trees and various Republican-style buildings interspersed in between. There was Yingqiu Courtyard, the female dormitory of Yunnan University, which was donated by Long Yun’s wife Gu Yingqiu and designed and built by Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin, and Huize Courtyard, the iconic building of Yunnan University, which survived the bombing of Japanese planes. Most of the original students of the Yunnan University campus in the urban area have moved to the Chenggong campus in the suburbs. Only some colleges and departments remain. There are many international students. I saw Indian guys playing cricket and black brothers mumbling and reciting books; then it was full of various tourists like us, many parents with small children. Do they want their children to feel the fragrance of books from an early age?
The most famous features of the Cuihu Campus are the internet-famous steps and the teaching building from the Republic of China period.
It is indeed a popular campus suitable for taking photos, with quaint stone buildings and shaded by grass and trees. It should be able to accommodate a quiet desk.
Qianqian students have a scholarly temperament and are poetic and far away hahahaha
I think although it is not big, it has a lot of historical flavor.
Yunnan University is a vibrant school with tall and lush trees, little squirrels that are not afraid of people, and a Ginkgo Path, which is especially great to visit in winter.
The Ginkgo Street on the Yunnan University campus was unremarkable at night, and the clock tower was also dim. I blamed myself for being an hour late.
Strolling through the former site of Southwest Associated University, which had a profound influence on modern China, is not to fulfill the literary and artistic plot of the trip, but to pay tribute to the hometown of the last generation of masters in the past century. Chen Yinke, Qian Zhongshu, Shen Congwen, Liang Sicheng, Lin Huiyin, Feng Youlan, Zhu Ziqing... After this generation of people who were truly able to master both Chinese and Western culture and understand the past and present, no one has come since then.
The real master is the name after his death
Quiet
simple
Also a good place for taking photos
The camera can't stop
The campus is beautiful, comfortable, and full of cultural atmosphere. It also preserves Donglu Academy, the Revolutionary Martyrs Monument, Zhigong Hall and other attractions, full of cherry blossoms, and energetic young people.
Great place, very historical, the campus is well built, there are little squirrels, friends who go there remember to give them some peanuts to eat
Yunnan University, formerly known as Donglu University, is a comprehensive university in China. The main campus is located in Wuhua District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, adjacent to Cuihu Park and Yunnan Military Academy. It ranks 59th among universities in China.
Yunnan University was founded in 1922. It is a famous Chinese university with international influence. At the beginning of March, the garden is full of spring colors, and the crabapple blossoms are in full bloom. The crabapple is known as the "national beauty", and the crabapple flowers at Yunnan University are another major beauty of Kunming. Although they are not as spectacular as the sea of flowers at Yuantong Mountain, they have a unique bookish atmosphere.
Behind Huize Courtyard is Zhigong Hall. Unlike Huize Courtyard, this is a typical Chinese-style building with bright red pillars, carved beams and painted buildings. It is currently the auditorium of Yunnan University.
Exit the west gate of Cuihu Park and walk 200 meters north to the east gate of Yunnan University, which is the closest gate to Huize Courtyard and Zhigong Hall. The motto of Yunnan University is "Huize Hundreds of Schools, Zhigong Tianxia", which I think is completely derived from the names of the two historical buildings on campus.
The campus is classical and full of books. Walking in Yunnan University, you can smell the sweet osmanthus and see some osmanthus flowers blooming.
Because Yunnan University's undergraduate school has been moved to Chenggong New District, the current Yunnan University campus is very quiet and the campus environment is beautiful. There are many buildings from the last century that still have a historical charm after renovation, and there are now many tour groups visiting there.
I really like the academic atmosphere of Yunnan University with a sense of history. As I walked around, I was thinking, why didn't I study hard in the past? Yuanxi Road is very close to Yunnan University, which is the famous snack street.
I like Yunnan University very much. Yunnan University has preserved many old buildings. It feels like I am in a museum instead of a campus. The school is also well greened, and there are squirrels living in the trees.
The campus is as quiet and beautiful as a park. Plum blossoms and magnolias bloom quietly on the green grass. There are students in groups of three or two under the bell tower. Parking is free. There is the former site of Southwest Associated University in the north and Cuihu Lake with blue waves and seagulls in the south. It is perfect.
What impressed me most was the bamboo. It was as tall as two or three stories high and was probably the tallest bamboo I have ever seen in my life.
This beautiful campus is full of vitality. Sparrows are chirping and playing their own games with humans on the ground and in the treetops.
The green lawn protects the proud trees, and the trees provide a playground for little squirrels to play.
I really like the feeling of Yunnan University, it has a heavy sense of history and the campus is beautiful! The tofu rice noodles next to the South Gate are also super delicious.
This key university in the southwest was the predecessor of the National Yunnan University, but its interior is in European style. Perhaps because of the National Day holiday, the entire campus is sparsely populated and quiet, and it is worth walking slowly and strolling slowly.
Overall feeling: Quiet
Transportation: West of Green Lake, walk along the Green Lake to get there
Traffic: Very little, the school is very clean
Attractions: Huize Temple + Ginkgo Avenue
Yunda’s area is not very large, and it does not have many old buildings!
The campus is not big, it is next to Cuihu Park, you can go and have a look.
Yunnan University is very close to Cuihu Lake. I went there for a stroll. I was surprised by the European style of the buildings. It is worthy of the fact that the university is from the School of Architecture.
It is one of the universities in China that is worth visiting. The scenery is best when the ginkgo trees turn yellow. There are also a series of buildings from the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. The atmosphere is ancient and simple, and full of cultural flavor.
You have to queue up to take photos at this university, but the several photo spots are really nice and the photos turn out quite tasteful.
This place is really suitable for autumn outings, strolling around and taking pictures.
In addition to the popular Mingyuan Tower and Ginkgo Forest (the ginkgo leaves had not yet turned yellow when we came)
There are also watermelon red walls, Huize Courtyard and the large lawn next to it, and the large staircase in front of the building.
I love and want to take photos of every corner of Yunda.
Yunnan University is a very famous university with nice scenery. The architectural style is of the Republic of China style, and the greenery is in place. You can even see squirrels on some trees. If you want to take a leisurely stroll, it is recommended to find a map in advance and take your time. There are also many people taking pictures around the building. In fact, I am not particularly interested in it, because our school is also in this style, so I can't see much difference...
But this is definitely a good place to digest your food! I came here to stroll after a full lunch.
The scenery here at Yunnan University is very beautiful
There are many international students, you can communicate with them
Yunnan University is a great place for taking a walk and taking photos. There are the historical Huize Courtyard and Yingqiu Courtyard, as well as the romantic Ginkgo Road. Director Jiang Wen has shot many scenes here. There is Yuanxi Road on the east side of the Donglu Campus, which is a snack street. After visiting the school, you can drink tea and try the Dai ethnic group's pounded chicken feet.
The school gate is beautiful.
The Internet said that this season is the best time to view ginkgo trees at Yunnan University, so we came.
The Yunnan University campus is also quite interesting.
Walking along the street, you can see buildings of various styles from different eras.
Greek, Roman, Chinese cornices...
What an inclusive hodgepodge
It can also be called a beautiful university, full of lush trees. I heard that from mid-November to early December, a path of ginkgo trees turns yellow and looks golden.
Yunnan University is a very beautiful university, especially in this season when you can see the golden ginkgo trees. There are a constant stream of tourists in the school, but I didn’t see many real students, only tourists and newlyweds taking wedding photos.
As soon as you enter the gate, you will see green trees and red flowers, full of spring and freshness. As expected of being located in the city of spring, even the magnolias that should bloom in spring are blooming all over the campus in the cold winter.
It is still very pleasant to visit Yunnan University
Personally, I think Yunnan University has a very literary atmosphere, especially the Ginkgo Road, which is very pleasing to the eye.
The campus is very quiet. I especially like its architectural style. It has a long history and a retro style. It always feels like it has a sense of culture.
Take a leisurely walk and take photos, it takes about 2 hours~
No entry to the library is allowed.
I particularly like this kind of university with history, old buildings, and charm. Many people took photos inside Yunnan University.
There is a former academy, which has been renovated but still preserved.
I particularly like this tree-lined campus.
There are some distinctive ancient buildings that are worth seeing. It should be beautiful in autumn, including the Ginkgo Avenue, but it's a pity that I didn't make it.
Yunnan University is really one of my favorite places in Kunming.
When I was an undergraduate, I often made appointments with old friends to come to Yunnan University to hang out and chat on weekends. I saw peers memorizing lessons on the bench, boys playing ball on the playground, and a cute girl practicing home dance behind the library. I also saw the changing scenery of the four seasons, the falling petals, and the gingko trees in autumn.
You can drive out of Yunnan University to Wenhua Lane and Wenlin Street. My old friend at that time loved drinking coffee, so we often stayed in a corner of Wenlin Street for an entire afternoon, talking about all kinds of fantastic things. When you are young, you think everything is simple.
Later, my old friend graduated and left Kunming. I continued to study for a master's degree in Kunming, and I may have regarded Kunming as my second hometown. When I was confused, I would still come to Yunnan University alone to hang out. Seeing that there were always people getting younger and older, I felt at ease.
The days in Kunming are strange. You don’t know the way here, and you are also confused about the way back, but when you get here, it seems that nothing is so important.
I heard that it is one of the most beautiful universities in China. The buildings are all retro. Maybe it is not autumn yet, so you can't see the falling leaves. If you pay close attention, you can also see little squirrels.
It is probably the best university in Yunnan. Since it is the former site of Southwest Associated University, I took a special look. The area is not large, but I probably walked half of it. The overall greening is very good and lush. As soon as you enter the school gate, you can see the nine-five steps, which are very solemn. There is also a European-style building in Huize Courtyard. The old principal's residence, the Imperial Examination Hall, and the hall-style female canteen designed by Lin Huiyin and his wife all make us respect this famous school with a historical origin. The squirrels on the campus seem to be full of spirituality and excitement.
Yunnan Normal University and Yunnan University are very close, and you can walk there. Compared with Yunnan Normal University, Yunnan University looks more like a university, and has a stronger atmosphere of life. You can see many students reviewing, playing ball, and elderly people exercising inside. Because I didn't make a guide, I didn't know where to go after walking for a while, and it felt so big inside that my feet hurt. I asked a grandma passing by what was good to see inside. The grandma's answer can be scored 100 points, and she looks very elegant. The grandma said: I can't say that it's beautiful, but some buildings have a certain history. Look at the red house, it was built by Soviet experts and has a history of more than 100 years. Going up is Yingqiu Garden, which was built by Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin. The consequence of not studying hard is that you feel like you have been turned into scum in an instant.
Yunnan University Ginkgo Avenue, my beautiful place in the south of Yunnan! The campus is covered with golden leaves. In recent days, Kunming is still as warm as spring, although the autumn wind has passed through. The midday sun shines through the gaps in the ginkgo trees and falls on the ginkgo road. Tourists and students walk by here, and there is a breeze, and golden leaves fall. Ginkgo Avenue is located on the main campus of Yunnan University. The densely covered area of ginkgo is about 200 meters long, extending from Wenyuan Building to Huize Courtyard, and the distance between trees is not wide. Ginkgo Avenue is close to the basketball court. Boys are sweating profusely, and there are also beauties who are intoxicated and taking selfies. The ginkgo trunks on the side of the avenue are flourishing and the branches are lush, tightly covering the sky, appearing dense and heavy.
Yunnan University is next to Cuihu Park (No. 2 Cuihu North Road). It was the Gongyuan in Yunnan during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and the place where the imperial examinations were held (Zhigongtang, etc. are now preserved). Its predecessor was the private Donglu University founded by Tang Jiyao, then governor of Yunnan Province, in 1922 (Huize Building, etc. are now preserved), and later changed to Yunnan University (1938). The school uses bells as the bell for classes. The featured majors are ethnology, biology, characteristic resource development and environmental protection, as well as border issues and international issues in Southeast Asia and South Asia. The new campus is in Chenggong University Town (undergraduate department). Jiang Wen's movie "The Sun Also Rises" was filmed here.
Not far from the Cuihu Lake is Yunnan University, which is affectionately called Yunnan University by local people. Yunnan University is a 211 university supported by the state. Nowadays, this old campus is usually studied by graduate students and senior students. There is a straight staircase with 95 steps at the entrance of Yunnan University, which symbolizes that Tang Jiyao, who founded Donglu University, the predecessor of Yunnan University, is as noble as the "Nine Five Supremes". It is also a popular spot for many people to check in.
Those who don't like to walk up stairs can take a detour and walk up the slope. There is a funhouse mirror at the corner of the slope. Through the mirror, you can see the roads and bamboos on both sides of the corner, so it has gradually become a popular online attraction. If you have time, you can go with those graduates or friends who travel and take photos to explore every corner of Yunnan University. Maybe it's in front of a door or a building, which are all good places to take photos.
Yunnan University in December seems to be in autumn. Ginkgo leaves cover the roads on campus. Many people come to enjoy the golden beauty. It must be beautiful to take wedding photos here! Every corner of the campus is beautiful, telling the vicissitudes of Yunnan University's history and cultural heritage.
A university with unique characteristics and history, it is worth a visit
Every time I go to a city, the university is one of my must-see attractions. I always feel that it carries the history and culture of a city. More importantly, it is always full of hope and vitality.
Yunnan University is just opposite the north gate of Cuihu Park. Just cross the road. As soon as you enter the door, you can see N steps. It is recommended to bring a SLR camera to take pictures like an artistic blockbuster.
The quietness of Yunnan University when we first entered it. A friend who was a first-year graduate student at Yunnan University entertained us and took us around the campus to eat flower cakes and Dai food. The lush trees and retro buildings immediately made us fall in love with this university. At that time, the first thing I thought of was that if I had visited different schools before going to college, would I have been misled by "beauty" and left my hometown.
Yunnan University is a bit surprising as a tourist attraction, but once you enter, you will know why - some of the buildings in Yunnan University are relatively old and have a certain flavor. With a long history and a relatively quiet atmosphere, it is not difficult to understand why it is a tourist attraction. Yunnan University also preserves the examination hall for the imperial examination.
The old campus in the city center is very small, covering 500 acres, and you can walk around it slowly. The only area in the entire campus that is entered from the south gate has a long history and is worth taking photos and browsing. If you are not driving, it is recommended to enter from the south gate. No identity verification or tickets are required. The entire school revolves around Huize. Fortunately, we went to Huize before coming to Kunming, so we had no difficulty understanding it.
I drove here and tried the east, west and south gates but couldn't get in. The south and east gates are both exits. Finally we parked outside the west gate, 5 yuan an hour. You can try the north gate to see if you can get in.
The weather here is cool and there are many shades, which is quite suitable for strolling. If you don’t really need water, it is recommended to give up the nearby Cuihu Lake and come here for a stroll.
My impression is that this school is really big and the environment is really good.
The school had an event at the old campus of Yunnan University, so I stopped by Yunnan University today to check in. I think Yunnan University is a good place for taking photos, and the architecture in the style of the Republic of China is very beautiful.
There are many snack shops nearby after leaving the school. I recommend Mori San Ramen. Their thick soup ramen is super delicious, and you can get more noodles for free.
We also visited the old campus of Yunnan Normal University nearby.
Without further ado, let me just post the pictures. I took the photos.
