We drove here in September, off-peak season, so we chose to arrive at night and stay at an inn within the hot springs. Our timing perfectly avoided the crowds, and we essentially had the entire place to ourselves for the night. It was a true forest hot spring, with excellent water quality and the surrounding chirping insects creating a truly tranquil experience. Soaking in the 40-degree water, gazing at the stars, and breathing in the fresh air was incredibly relaxing—the perfect choice for a relaxing getaway! The next morning, after breakfast at the inn nestled against the mountains and water, we were able to experience the daytime experience again. On the morning of April 16, I took the 9:40 shuttle bus to Lotus Hot Springs.

It was fine at first. I came here to soak in the hot springs after reading reviews online and from the hotel manager. You guys offer a tea shop and buffet. Around 12 noon, I went in to use the tea shop. The waiter said that all tea and snacks required a credit card. This was also my mistake. I went in with a group, so I didn't specifically tell the waiter I was using the tea shop. I didn't know the group. Then in the afternoon, I used the buffet. On my way back, the waiter asked if I had used the buffet twice. 😂 I was so happy that you ruined my day. That's fine, but you kept checking for half an hour. Don't you have cameras? Why are you blaming customers for your mistakes? I'll definitely not come next time. My good mood was ruined. 😊 And then you say it's a free gift? Have you ever considered how the customers feel? Are you saying we can't afford the money, or are you accusing us of scamming you? I've been to Tengchong three times, and I've never been to a tourist attraction like this... The first electric car left at 9 o'clock, and we went up the mountain in the cold wind. We sat in the hot spring lobby until 9:30 when we were allowed to go into the locker room.

The open-air forest-style hot spring is an excellent place for relaxation.

The lotus environment is very good, no wonder it is called a hot spring in the primeval forest. The ticket includes a buffet meal. The food is average and not delicious, but it is still comfortable to have a meal when you are hungry after running.

The entire hot spring is built on the mountain, distributed in a terraced manner, with lush trees, just like in a primeval forest.

The green everywhere makes you feel like you are in the forest. The hot spring pool is also bigger than that of Angsana. However, it does not have a dedicated children's play area like the Atami scenic area, which is a shortcoming for parent-child travel. But it seems that children all like swimming, so it doesn't matter if there is no play area.

There are 22 springs, large and small. The upper part is home to various sulfur hot spring pools, while the lower part is home to specialty pools. For women, the aloe vera pool and sulfur rose pool are highly recommended! (They actually have aloe vera and roses!)

The hot spring water is of great quality, the staff are very friendly, and there is a sumptuous buffet with unlimited fruits, desserts, drinks, etc. I stayed there for most of the day, and the price was a great deal, super value!!

I personally feel that Lotus Hot Spring is better than Atami. It is a pure natural geothermal hot spring with few people. The spring is good and very clean. There are almost two or three people in each pool. I chat with a few friends while taking a bath. I feel that this is life.

Lotus Hot Springs has excellent service and wonderful pools. Many locals come here to soak. There are over 20 pools, and they provide free snacks and lunch. They offer wet and dry steam rooms, as well as massages. Each pool has a different temperature, ranging from 37°C to 42°C. They offer rose oil, milk, jasmine, honeysuckle, whirlpools, and bubbles. There's a wide variety of options. After the soak, we had lunch, a wet steam room, and finally a dry steam room nap. It was incredibly relaxing!

The shuttle bus schedule was changed, so we waited for nearly an hour according to the old schedule.

There are 19 hot springs, including rose oil, milk, aloe vera, and massage pools. It's very comfortable to soak in them one by one. I recommend you to try it!

The hot spring pools of Lotus are scattered across a hillside, giving it a distinct Southeast Asian feel. What impressed me most about Lotus Hot Springs was the attentive service. The staff were incredibly considerate, constantly replacing dry towels for us. The rest area offered free snacks and drinks, and the tea eggs were incredibly delicious, becoming a memorable experience. The steam room wasn't a typical sauna, but rather a geothermal stone bed with varying temperatures, allowing you to choose the right one to warm and comfortably lie on. After soaking in the hot springs, the staff in the bathing area even helped dehydrate your swimsuit, preventing you from bringing it home soaking wet. In the shoe-changing area, my feet were still a little damp, and the staff thoughtfully handed me a foot towel. Overall, Lotus Hot Springs was a fantastic experience, with every detail meticulously considered. It's a perfect place for a relaxing day with the family.

I don't really want to introduce this place too much, because it is really like a paradise. If you are not too picky, the hot spring experience here is definitely close to that of Japan, but the price-performance ratio is definitely better than that of other hot springs in Japan.

Of course, it's also because there aren't many people here that it's so pleasant. Therefore, I don't recommend traveling thousands of miles to experience this, but if you have the opportunity to pass by this place, be sure to stop and rest!

My stomach hurt after two days in Dali. Within ten minutes of soaking here, I started farting, had to go to the bathroom, and was completely cured. Volcanic geothermal hot springs are truly more than just a hot bath. The scalding springs on the slopes are proof of that.

The hot spring will provide a buffet. The service here is really good. The waiters will follow you wherever you go, ask you if you need anything, and even put your shoes away. There are a total of 19 pools in the hot spring. If you feel hungry after soaking, you can go to the tea restaurant where you can get drinks, cakes, peanuts, sweet potatoes, etc. to replenish your energy.

I was so indecisive that I saw a special offer on a hotel and hot springs package on China-TravelNote that I decided to go. Even if you're not driving, Lotus Hot Springs is a very cost-effective hot spring destination. While it's quite far, the hot springs area provides a shuttle bus from downtown. Besides eating well, soaking in the sun, and watching the clouds drift by, you can also visit museums, antique streets, and the old hot springs viewing area. There's also a free buffet, plenty of hot spring pools, and excellent service.

We bought a 230 yuan hot spring ticket online, which included a forest spa buffet dinner (lunch and dinner optional) in a basement below the hot spring area. There's also a small restaurant inside the hot spring area, offering free drinks, fruit, and snacks. Mini geothermal potatoes, peanuts, and fruit are a simple selection, but the rest are paid snacks and drinks. Ice cream is about 10 yuan a scoop.

After exchanging our tickets and meal tickets, we parked our car at the parking lot at the foot of the mountain and took the scenic area's battery car up the mountain.

Lotus Hot Spring enjoys the main geothermal vein of Tengchong Hot Spring, facing the volcanic platform formed by the vicissitudes of life and the boundless scenery of Daying River... The air is quiet and warm.

Once you enter the hot springs, you'll be guided by a waiter. They'll provide slippers, robes, and lockers. If you arrive too late, you'll only be provided with towels, no robes! Cell phones can be stored in waterproof bags. After descending the wooden corridor, you can find your favorite hot spring and enjoy it to your heart's content.

Each hot spring pool has a clear temperature and time indication, and the privacy is good. From time to time, there will be waiters to help you put on your bathrobe and slippers, and remind you to be careful of the steps of the hot spring pool. With light gauze curtains and warm sunlight, it is best to come early in the morning to enjoy the sunshine feast in the misty forest.

However, the quality of the hot spring buffet was average, and we had to wait until 17:00, so we gave up decisively.

Lotus Hot Spring, as its name suggests, does not mean that the hot spring is surrounded by lotus flowers. Rather, it means that the natural environment and supporting services in the resort exude a faint elegance like lotus flowers, making people feel good.

A shuttle bus to the hot springs arrived around 3:00 PM, not far from our hotel. The driver enthusiastically took us to the hot springs reception area. We arrived at the hot springs reception desk, stated our hotel name, and received our tickets (we'd booked them through the Santiana Hotel, 200 RMB per person). The ticket included a buffet meal, and the bus driver kindly suggested we eat before entering the hot springs, as the buffet runs from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. If we left after our soak, it might close. Even if it did, we wouldn't be able to re-enter the hot springs after leaving. With over 20 minutes until the meal opened, we wandered around the restaurant. We also visited the hot springs owner's own road car museum, though photography was prohibited.

The buffet was truly sumptuous, a compliment. I didn't take many photos inside the hot springs, fearing my phone would slip and fall into the water. Overall, I felt Lotus Onsen was superior to Atami Onsen in every way: the water was cleaner, the environment was more elegant, the service was more attentive, and the buffet was also very good. The only difference was that the entrance fee was a bit more expensive than Atami, and it was further from the city. There is a shuttle bus to the city, but the latest bus back to the city is 7:00 PM.

The hot springs are very varied and well-equipped. The service was incredibly thoughtful, with people offering water and towels, and even helping you change your phone's waterproof case if it got wet. When I left, I forgot my diving mask inside, and the waiter found it two minutes later. It was truly perfect service!

I absolutely loved the hot spring area! It's only outdoor, with no indoor access, but the facilities are excellent, and the water is incredibly refreshing. While it doesn't have the magical, month-long effects of a Hokkaido onsen, soaking in a warm open-air bath under the dappled sunlight of subtropical trees, watching the steam rise, is a truly heavenly experience. The hot springs offer a variety of flavors, including milk, aloe vera, and rose, but I highly recommend the natural, oil-free hot springs. The hot spring area also offers unlimited drinking water, small potatoes, and onsen eggs, but other dishes are available for a fee. Numerous waiters are stationed at the entrances, providing water and clean towels without disturbing guests. Afterward, there's a spin-drying tub for your swimsuit. Soaking in the pool, chatting with fellow travelers, or finding a secluded spot to nap is a truly relaxing and blissful experience.

My whole family spent the 2018 Spring Festival in Tengchong, staying in Heshun. On New Year's Eve, we went to the Lotus Hot Springs. We chose Lotus because it's free for children under 120cm tall, while the other hot springs have a limit of 1 meter or less. Since we have two children, it was a no-brainer.

Despite being New Year's Eve, many people were still taking the shuttle bus from the ancient town to Hehua. The boarding point was about a hundred meters from the ancient town gate, so everyone arrived early to avoid missing the bus. The first bus left at 10:00 AM and arrived at the scenic area at 10:35 AM. Since the buffet restaurant and the hot springs are separate, we visited the museum first and then had lunch when the restaurant opened at 11:00 AM. The buffet lunch was quite good for a filling meal, but don't expect it to be a star-rated buffet. After dinner, we took a walk and then headed to the hot springs area. Due to special regulations during the Spring Festival, we could only use the snack buffet once (which felt quite extravagant). We left at 4:00 PM and ended our hot springs trip, returning to the ancient town just in time for dinner.

To sum up, I have a few points of experience: the advantages are that the lotus area is large, the service staff are friendly, and there are not many people during holidays, so you can soak in it freely and comfortably; the disadvantages are that each pool is almost the same and has no special features. The bath towels are hung in a mess by the pool, and there are very few places to change bath towels. You can only walk around with a wet bath towel, which will be cold in winter. The bathing supplies are complete but of low quality, and do not meet the hardware and software standards of high-end bathing centers in big cities.

Tengchong has many hot springs, but we felt that Rehai was too crowded and the entrance fee was a bit expensive, so we chose Lotus Hot Spring, known as the "Haidilao of hot springs." This is also because Lotus Hot Spring is a forest hot spring, which is very unique and has a great atmosphere. The only drawback was the lack of showers.

Hot spring tickets include one snack and one buffet. Snacks are available at a restaurant within the hot springs, where you can enjoy free snacks and replenish your energy. The buffet is available at the ticket office after your soak, and the taste of the buffet is up to your personal preference.

Crap service. I waited for the bus in the county town for 45 minutes. There was road construction on the way. It took another 15 minutes to confirm the e-ticket at the door. It was terrible. I decided to go to Yuechun instead!

Lotus is not as famous as Yuechun now, but the service of Lotus is very good, it is a real forest hot spring, and the feeling is also very good.

If you want unlimited baths while staying at the inn, you can only buy full-price tickets on-site. If you stay two days, you can use a discounted ticket on the first day, then the full-price ticket for the second day and the morning of the third day. The service at Lotus Hot Springs was excellent, but I personally think the water quality and steam rooms are better in the Yu Valley. You can't have it both ways! They say Lotus Hot Springs is sparsely populated, but when we went, it was definitely quite crowded... The water wasn't dirty, so it must be changed regularly.

This is a very good hot spring. It is the most beautiful hot spring I have ever been to. Pool No. 19 was almost reserved because we went there early. The service was thoughtful and the waiters were always there to serve. There were free fruits, snacks, eggs and drinks. It was really good. I like it very much. When you walk into the hot spring hall, you can see bamboo sofas, tables and chairs, which look quite comfortable. The service here is very good. Every employee has a smile on their face and takes the initiative to greet you, which is very considerate.

I originally thought that only tea is provided for rest here, but there is also coffee. There are many different kinds of coffee beans here, and you can brew your own coffee here.

After changing clothes in the locker room, take a shower first, and then the thoughtful staff will give you a large towel. When you walk from indoors to outdoors, you will instantly feel like you have walked into a primeval forest.

There are many different soaking pools here, with the four essential oil pools being particularly popular. Each pool has a water temperature indicator, so those who prefer a cooler temperature of around 37-38 degrees Celsius can opt for one. However, it's best to start with a cooler one and gradually work your way up to a warmer one.

If you feel tired, you can lie down and rest for a while. If you feel you can’t bear it, you can take a short break every 15 minutes before soaking again.

There are thoughtfully laid-out lounge chairs next to the pool, along with amenities like a beauty therapy center, VIP hot spring bath, tea restaurant, foot massage parlor, steam room, and coffee bar. When I sat down to rest, the waitstaff would ask if I needed some tea or a new towel. They even offered to help me if I had too much stuff to carry, reminding me to watch my step as I went. The service is on par with Haidilao.

Generally speaking, there are not many people taking a hot spring bath in the morning, but starting from 3 pm, more and more people will come and continue until the evening.

The whirlpool is quite interesting. Every once in a while, the water will form a large whirlpool in the middle, but when you walk into the whirlpool, it becomes smaller and moves somewhere else. It's magical, isn't it?

The trees in the hot spring block out the sun, so there is no sunlight at all. It feels special when the sun shines down occasionally.

For a Cantonese, it is really much better than the hot springs in Guangdong. I highly recommend it.

I compared various hot springs before going and found this one had the best reviews, so I went to check it out, and it lived up to its reputation. The regular ticket price was 260 yuan, but there were discounts online and on reviews, and there was also a 50 yuan coupon for staying at the Heshun Inn, which was quite a good deal.

There's a free shuttle bus from the entrance of Heshun Ancient Town, which leaves at 10:00 AM and returns at 2:40 PM and 7:00 PM. Most people who take the shuttle choose to leave at 10:00 AM and return at 7:00 PM. Lunch starts at 11:30 AM, and dinner starts at 5:30 PM. Since we hadn't eaten breakfast, we opted for lunch. The lunch crowd was quite small, and we were the first to arrive, so the food was mostly fresh. The food was quite good, and we definitely had no problem filling up. The view from the dining area was beautiful, with the blue sky and green mountains outside, which was very relaxing. The shuttle bus arrived around 10:45 AM, so we first visited the museum. Although it's just across the street, the scenic area still provides a tour bus, which was very thoughtful.

After lunch, the main attraction began. The hot springs lobby was beautiful, offering stunning views and excellent service every step of the way. The pools, mainly located on either side of the two long corridors, included natural and essential oil pools. Each pool was typically reserved, flanked by trees, offering excellent privacy—you could hear people but not see them. I highly recommend the functional pool and the one at the bottom. The afternoon sun filtered through the leaves, creating a fairy-like atmosphere.

The tea restaurant provides water, drinks, snacks, and banana cakes, which are delicious and provide energy. There are also eggs, sweet potatoes, and peanuts, so you won't go hungry.

Finally, let me talk about the service. There is someone to lead the way to each pool, ask you if you need water at any time, tell you the precautions, and will take the initiative to replace your bath towel with a new one if it is wet. It's great.

I didn't want to go to Lotus Flower even before I got there. Although the shuttle is free, no one could tell me exactly where to get on. I heard it was across from the credit union. There was a blue sign at the fork in the road that said "Lotus Hot Springs Pickup Point." The driver didn't even bother to check if anyone was there and just walked away. So why is there a sign? Why not put it up where people choose to get on the bus? It's less than 5 meters away from the so-called opposite side, which could also be called the opposite side of the hot springs. I guess no one inside the hot springs knew they had put up a stop sign at this place or whether its location was reasonable. Unfortunately, there are no pictures to illustrate this.

The hot spring is located some distance away from Tengchong. You have to drive via the highway and then onto a provincial road. If you drive at the speed limit, it will take about 40 minutes, which is not far.



The hot spring service was very attentive. You can park your car in the parking lot, and after purchasing your ticket, a sightseeing bus will take you to the hot springs. From the entrance to the changing rooms and then to the various pools, the staff were attentive and helpful, explaining each pool's functions, replacing your wet towel, arranging your slippers, and refilling your water. The service was truly excellent. Great!



It is said that there are 19 pools of various sizes here. When we went there, there were not many people, and basically every pool was reserved. It was very cool. Although the atmosphere is artificial, it feels like a green jungle and the environment is very good.



Each voucher includes one lunch or dinner, lunch is from 11am to 1:30pm, and dinner is from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The buffet is just average, with not many varieties, it can only be considered to fill your stomach, so don't have too high expectations.



Overall, Lotus Hot Spring is good and worth a visit.

I visited Tengchong and stayed in Heshun Ancient Town. I spent the morning exploring the town's attractions. After lunch, I waited for the bus across from the Rural Credit Cooperative at the scenic area's main entrance. The Lotus Hot Springs shuttle bus arrived promptly at 1:30 PM and returned to the town at 7:30 PM. It was free. The road wasn't very good, so the ride took about 50 minutes. The ticket cost 260 yuan per person, including the afternoon buffet. The bus took us halfway up the mountain, where lush vegetation provided ample privacy. There were plenty of options. The restaurant offered free juice, fruit, peanuts, eggs, pastries, and more. It was quite good. Yesterday, I went to Rehai, but because I was short on time, I didn't soak in the hot springs. Instead, I soaked my feet at the top of the mountain for 40 yuan per person. I felt this was even better value.

Lotus Hot Springs is located in Hehua Town, southwest of Tengchong, at 98° east longitude and 25° north latitude. It's Tengchong's only subtropical rainforest climate zone, known locally as "Hot Spring Pond." Since ancient times, it has been renowned for its numerous hot springs and jade carving workshops. The locals primarily practice agriculture, living in harmony with nature, a peaceful and prosperous existence. The pureness of the lotus is etched beneath the simple customs of farming culture. The purity of the body sheds all traces of dust. The purity of the lotus immerses one in the tranquility of Eastern culture. The purity of the heart, a spiritual return to nature, roams the Lotus Hot Springs.

Lotus Hot Springs is a new hot spring resort with a nice, quiet atmosphere (at least not crowded the day I visited). The service is exceptionally attentive, with attendants at nearly every pool, helping with water, placing slippers, and applying towels. This was a bit of a complication. The pools are outdoor, surrounded by lush greenery, and each one is private. The evening buffet is decent, but be aware of the closing time; don't arrive too late. Note: While the Lotus Hot Springs buffet is included, the hot spring area and buffet are separate, so once you leave, you can't return. The hot spring area offers free snacks and drinks, which I have to praise. The free refreshments include eggs, dim sum, steamed baby potatoes, boiled peanuts, juice, fruit, and more—far superior to the free refreshments at similarly priced hot springs in Beijing.

There is a shuttle bus to the pool, which is very well decorated. Each pool has good privacy.

When visiting Tengchong, soaking in the hot springs is a must. The ticket price is 260 yuan per person, which includes a complimentary buffet meal. The innkeeper gave me a coupon for a 50 yuan discount. The road from Heshun to the Lotus Hot Springs is full of beautiful scenery.

The hot spring is nice. It had just opened when I first went there and was very clean. The eggs in the snack bar at the back were delicious. I ate a lot of them with the sauce, hahaha.

The pool is in the woods. When I went there, it was crowded and a bit noisy, not as quiet as I imagined. But the service was really good. There is a free tea restaurant with snacks and fruits, but the buffet variety is not rich enough, and the overall value for money is not high.

Because it is the off-season, there are not many people, and there is a special car to pick you up. It is like taking a hot spring bath in a forest park. It is still great. The food is also good... It is worth going.

Nestled in the forest, it's a true oxygen bar, the air is incredibly fresh. The 260 yuan entrance fee includes a 50 yuan voucher at the inn, so the actual cost is 210 yuan (including a buffet). The waiters escort you in and out of the pool, drape you in a towel, bring you water, and remind you to be careful with the steps. Several locations in the city offer free shuttles to the ancient town, which is an hour's drive from the entrance. Worth a visit to relax and unwind...

We walked around Heshun for several hours. Finally, we were tired and went back to the inn to rest. I asked the shopkeeper and found out that there is a hot spring in Heshun. It is very close and takes more than 10 minutes by car. The fee is 200 yuan+. However, an older sister told me not to go because it is not fun. Finally, she recommended me to go to the Lotus Hot Spring, but it is about 26 kilometers away. There is a shuttle bus to pick me up at 4 pm. Finally, I asked in the WeChat group and no one responded, so I went there alone. The result made me very satisfied. You need to call in advance.

There aren't many guests, and it feels like there are more staff than guests... It's open-air, the staff are very polite, there's a shuttle bus, a buffet, and it's over 200... It's totally worth it...

I originally wanted to book Angsana, but a local recommended Lotus. It's a bit farther away, but the price is also lower. The environment and service are great, and it feels more local. Angsana is a bit more luxurious, but I imagine you'd find similar options in other big cities. Lotus, on the other hand, has good infrastructure and a beautiful setting. There are vast rice paddies and lush vegetation, and the entire hot spring area is lush and green. Lying on a lounge chair, I can see the branches and leaves of the plants, and the sunlight filters through without getting too hot, which is very comfortable.

The hot springs are all outdoors, and the entire courtyard is beautifully landscaped. Each pool has a different temperature, allowing you to choose your own. The dry steam temperature also offers a variety of options. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The free snacks in the hot springs and the buffet included in the package were both quite good.

At around 9:50 in the morning, you can take the shuttle bus to the hot springs at the cemetery. There are also stops in Heshun Ancient Town and several other locations. You can call to inquire about the specific routes and times. It is quite convenient.

The innkeepers all praised Lotus's excellent service, so I agreed. I had a great time there. I tried all 15 pools, including functional pools, landscape pools, and various essential oil pools. When I got tired, I could have afternoon tea in the restaurant and lie down in the sun. Don't count on the evening buffet; it was basically just like a cafeteria.

We left Atami in the afternoon and arrived at Lotus Hot Springs in the evening. After a buffet, we took an electric car to the opposite hilltop and entered the forest-style hot spring area. There are 19 pools along the hillside, including 3 indoor pools, 3 roofed with frames like palace mosquito nets and decorated with gauze curtains, and 13 open-air pools distributed on both sides of the stairs. There are sulfur springs, kaolin springs, carbonated springs, sodium chloride springs, etc. In addition to the good environment, the service is also legendary. Attendants are stationed at every step next to the hot spring pools to help tourists into the pools and pass mineral water.

After buying tickets at the lobby, I took the shuttle bus to the hot springs. I wandered around the area first. There were actually crocodiles, though they weren't very big. The trees were lush and lush, probably because of the hot springs, and it didn't feel like autumn at all... The sky was blue and the clouds were white. I really wanted to pack a bag to take home. After changing and entering the hot springs, I was greeted by the steam. There weren't many pools, and they weren't very large. They certainly couldn't compare to the numerous pools in our hot springs, but they were natural. The water temperature varied, and you could choose your own. The water was moist and soothing to my skin. It was truly different from any other bath I've had; the water quality was truly exceptional.
