An old commercial center in the center of Ningbo, with snacks everywhere, it is a good place to learn about the folk customs of the Han Chinese in Ningbo.
The Tianfeng Tower in the south is the symbol of this area. You can spend 5 yuan to climb the tower and overlook the bustling city scenery of Ningbo.
Not far north of Chenghuang Temple is Tianyi Square, Ningbo's emerging commercial district, offering a modern shopping environment.
To the west, Yuehu Park is a tranquil scenic spot in the city center. It is very pleasant to stroll along the lake and admire the pavilions and gardens.

You can reach Chenghuang Temple by taking Metro Line 2. It's important to note that Shanghai public transportation cards cannot be used in Ningbo (this should be the case elsewhere), including the Motor Metropolis. You can only use them in Ningbo by purchasing a ticket on site or by using the WeChat mini-program "Ride Code."
After getting off the subway, walk directly out of Exit C. A short walk will bring you to the City God Temple. Unlike the one in Shanghai, Ningbo's City God Temple is a single street, a bit like a pedestrian mall, with plenty of snacks along the way. Don't miss it if you're interested! The Ningbo City God Temple is quite picturesque at night, with many people and a lively atmosphere. I even bought a few surname plaques at a shop.
Follow the navigation all the way and you will pass a garden square. At night, there will be many small lights surrounding both sides of the road.
I don't recommend coming to this food court. The taste is average. The so-called freshly squeezed juice is just old juice that was made at who knows when, plus a little new juice. I asked the clerk not to add it but he didn't listen. It's a pity that they have to swipe the card before paying. It was a very bad impression for my first visit.
When it was almost dark, I went to the City God Temple. To be honest, I don’t like the chaos here. It was completely demolished and there were rubble everywhere.
Don't go to the Chenghuang Temple Food City here to eat. The food is expensive, but the main point is that it is dirty, messy and unpalatable. The pan-fried meat I bought was sour, not fresh, and disgusting.
The area is a little smaller than the Chenghuang Temple in Shanghai, but the nature is similar. You can buy local food and some small commodities.
[Want to eat Ningbo snacks?] [Want the cheapest clothes?] [Want the cheapest gifts?] [Ahem, you can only come here]
It's pretty average... Not much to do, similar to a wholesale market.
I don't have a very good impression of Ningbo City God Temple. It's all very cheap commercial forms. I don't want to go near it. There is too much smell of cheap barbecue oil smoke.
Does every city have a City God Temple? There is a market in front of the City God Temple here, but the things there are pretty average. I won’t go there next time I go.
【2008】A good place to bargain for small items when you were a student~
Every city with a bit of history has a City God Temple. Ningbo also has a lot of history, so the City God Temple is just average.
Ningbo City God Temple is much smaller than Shanghai's, but you can still come and see it.
The City God, also known as the City God or City God Lord, is one of the important deities widely worshipped in Chinese ethnic and religious culture. He is represented by famous officials and heroes who have made contributions to the local people. He is the guardian deity of the city, believed by Chinese folk and Taoists.
There are a lot of people in the place where people go shopping.
It's a pedestrian street. When I came here, the area was under renovation and it was a mess.
This commercial street is similar to the combination of Tianjin's Da Hutong and Maigou. Although it is not a wholesale mall, it is really dirty and messy, probably because there are so many snacks.
Quite disappointed, it felt like it was just a bunch of hot pot. I thought there would be a lot of snacks, but in the end I only had Shanghai shengjian.
I went there when it was raining. There are wholesale markets, snack towns and so on. It's just a commercial street. Apart from the name, it seems to have nothing to do with the City God Temple. It's a bit dirty because there are so many people.
The commercial landscape of Chenghuangmiao Pedestrian Street still lacks the grandeur of Beijing's Wangfujing and Xidan districts, instead resembling more of a wholesale market. Some shops offer outdoor cooking, creating a vibrant atmosphere of life with the aroma of cooking wafting through the air – a rare sight in northern cities.
The Ningbo City God Temple, also known as the Ningbo County Temple, is located in the bustling heart of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. It is one of the largest existing City God temples in China. The City God is a prominent deity widely worshipped in ancient Han Chinese religious culture. He was often portrayed as a prominent official or hero who had rendered meritorious service to the local people. He is a guardian deity of the city, worshipped by both Han Chinese folk and Taoists.
Opposite Tianyi Square, it is a great place for leisure that integrates dining, entertainment and shopping.
As soon as you enter the City God Temple, you will feel a shabby feeling everywhere that is incompatible with this big city. Most of the restaurants are snack stalls commonly seen in urban and rural fringe areas, and the clothing stores are distribution stations of Yiwu Small Commodity Market, but there are still crowds of people coming and going.
City God Temple and Tianyi Square are very close to each other. City God Temple has the flavor of Ningbo and is very lively.
I don't recommend Chenghuang Temple because of its strong commercial atmosphere. My friend bought me a watermelon and said it tasted terrible, so I returned it to him angrily. Anyway, I feel that Chenghuang Temple is very average.
The City God Temple in Ningbo is smaller than the one in Shanghai, but it has a full range of snacks.
Like Shanghai, the Chenghuang Temple area in Ningbo is also a gathering place for small commodity markets and snacks from all over the country. It is a business district with a very low-end style and extremely rustic temperament. Tourists who come here basically just stroll around and buy small things.
When we went to the City God Temple during the Spring Festival this year, the main hall was being renovated. I don’t know if it was to restore its original function. However, there is a statue of the City God on the first floor of the City God Temple Commercial Pedestrian Street at the intersection of Kaiming Street and Xianxue Street, and people come to worship from time to time.
The old buildings of Chenghuang Temple have been fenced off, and it seems only the name remains; there's not much to see. There's a Chenghuang Temple snack street in a nearby shopping mall. You can top up your card and get a refund. The handmade glutinous rice balls and fermented rice dumplings are delicious, but not as good as those at Gangyagou. The Shaoxing stinky tofu isn't as good as the one I had in Shaoxing, but it's still good enough to satisfy your craving. The seafood fried rice cakes were decent; the crab wasn't fat and didn't have any roe, but the shellfish and shrimp were decent. It was also reasonably priced at 30 yuan, and the rice cakes were flavorful.
The City God Temple is quite ordinary, with some indoor shops selling things and clothes.
In order to avoid various intentional or unintentional rumors of marriage urging, I decided to come here to pray for a marriage. The place is not big, but the incense is very popular. My friend and I took a quick look and then left. Because there were too many people, we saw after we came out that I came here to pray for a marriage, so why didn’t I go to worship Yue Lao? Well, since we are already out, we can’t spend another ten yuan for a ticket to go back in.
The first place I went to in Ningbo was Chenghuang Temple. There were snacks and some clothes shops. It took only a few minutes to browse around. I got a Peppa Pig tattoo.
It's not the street I imagined, it has become a food court in the house, there is nothing special to eat.
The City God Temple really feels like a small commodity/clothing wholesale market. If you are a bargain hunter, then the City God Temple is a good place to go.
There are many things to eat at Chenghuang Temple Snack Street, but I think it is unhygienic. I just want to join in the fun.
It's a very nerdy street. There's not much food to eat, and the clothes are all very low-end, so I don't really want to buy anything. It's just a boring street.
The prices are the cheapest among all the attractions in Ningbo. Chenghuang Temple has food and clothes to buy. I absolutely have to try the duck intestines and fresh meat. They are 5 yuan for 30 skewers, the cheapest in Ningbo. The key is that they are really delicious. I also bought clothes and shoes here. The prices are also very affordable. It is a good place for country girls to shop. Hahaha
It is now a commercial street with snack shops on both sides of the road. It is nice to come here to have some snacks. Of course, although there are places to eat, the hygiene of the environment is not very good. The skewers of the internet-famous duck intestines are all over the ground. I hope a large trash can can be provided so that everyone has a place to throw them away.
It's the same old saying
It seems that every larger city has a drum tower, and the City God Temple is no exception.
In my personal memory, the City God Temple is a place where money is burned.
Now it has become a shopping and food street, and it is commonplace.
Honestly, it's a good place to go when you really don't know where to go.
Actually, it’s good, City God Temple, Tianyi Square, Moon Lake, etc. are all in one place.
Um
Chenghuang Temple is where snacks gather, and the scenery is just average.
I said I only looked at it from the outside.
It seems that the City God Temple has some inextricable relationship with snacks, and this one is no exception.
Okay hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
The City God Temple has evolved into a large market. It is not very interesting and you can choose not to go there.
There are many snacks in Chenghuang Temple. You need to charge your meal card. If you can't finish the food, you can get a refund.
There were quite a lot of people inside, and the prices were basically under 30 yuan. I ordered a bowl of seafood noodles and beef pot stickers, but found the taste to be unsatisfactory.
It's just an antique commercial street, quite messy, without any special features, I don't recommend going there
It's a commercial street, and the tower inside is very conspicuous, so I went in when I passed by. But there is a fee to climb the tower. My feet hurt from walking, so I didn't want to climb anymore. I rested outside for a while, and the environment was okay.
I just passed by and didn't look around carefully.
It's ok, there's a lot of food, but it doesn't have any obvious characteristics compared to other places.
I personally think it's a very ordinary place and don't recommend it.
There are many unique things in Ningbo, as well as snacks and all kinds of miscellaneous things.
It's just okay. If you don't have any other place to go, go check it out.
There are many small commodities for sale, and it seems that there are also many food stalls. It is quite messy. The only thing to see seems to be the Tianfeng Tower? I took two photos at the bottom.
Like other city god temples, it is a lively place with snacks and vendors.
There are a lot of people in Ningbo City God Temple, but the food they eat is the same as that available all over the country.
The main reason to visit Chenghuang Temple is to see the Tianfeng Pagoda. The most popular snack nearby seems to be the chicken wing rice wrappers from two restaurants. They have rice stuffed inside the wings, with the wing tips attached underneath. It looks like the mice I folded with handkerchiefs as a kid, which is not very pleasant to look at.
Located in the heart of downtown Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, Ningbo City God Temple is a prominent Taoist temple in the region, boasting a history of nearly a thousand years. Nearby is the Tianfeng Pagoda. Following renovations, the temple now primarily features the City God Temple Pedestrian Street and the City God Temple Snack Market, though it's relatively small and uninspiring.
There are no special snacks, not as many as the Drum Tower, a bit messy
There are shops everywhere in Chenghuang Temple. Brother Yang insisted that I buy the inappropriate clothes. I left angrily and he left too. When he came out, he was unhappy again.
Later I sat on the wooden crossbar on the second floor, and finally~~~~
Whether you're shopping or eating, you'll always go to Chenghuang Temple. There are indeed a lot of snacks there, and it's very close to Tianyi Square, so it's a good place to go shopping.
With all due respect... I don't know if I went to the wrong place. It was different from the Chenghuang Temple I remember from other places. I went there specifically for food. But... I don't know what I ended up doing... an indoor snack street... I chose death.
I thought it was a place similar to Shanghai Chenghuang Temple, but I was disappointed. There were still many areas under construction, and time was tight, so I left.
The temple was under renovation when I went there. The area around was very chaotic. There were many cars parked in front of the temple, so I couldn't take any photos.
It’s better not to go to Chenghuang Temple, it’s just a place selling things, there’s not even a temple
There is construction all around. I feel this place is average and the food is average too.
Not recommended.. There is nothing special to see.. If you want to go shopping, it is recommended to go to Tianyi Square which is very close.
It's just an ordinary shopping mall area, nothing special
It's such a mess... Plus with the subway being built, it's like a wet market, with sewage flowing everywhere and garbage everywhere...
The shopping pedestrian street of old Ningbo has a wide variety of goods and you can enjoy bargaining.
Since the second phase seems to be still under construction... there are very few people and it's a bit desolate. I've seen Wushan Square on Hefang Street many times in Hangzhou, so this may seem a bit underwhelming.
It seems that every city has a City God Temple, and Ningbo is no exception. Here, there are all kinds of snacks, shopping and clothes.
I went there 30 years ago. Although things have changed, I can't really turn into a dog. It's not worth going.
It's a very boring attraction, just like a small commodity market. It was raining heavily that day and I came here specifically, but I was very disappointed. I left in less than two minutes. There was no need to waste time here
Ningbo feels quite comfortable, although it's not a big place.
It's interesting to go shopping, there are many tourists and a lot of small commodities
When I went there, many buildings were under renovation, and the antique buildings made it difficult for people to imagine the prosperity of ancient times.
I passed by the City God Temple, which was under renovation, and took a picture of the plaque before leaving. Because the renovation was filled with a smell of paint, I endured the smell and took a picture. It’s not that I love the City God Temple so much, but just recorded that I had been here so that I can remember it next time I come.
