Fuchun River

The Fuchun River flows from the upper reaches of the Qiantang River, from Meicheng in Jiande to Wenyan in Xiaoshan. It primarily flows through the urban areas of Jiande, Tonglu, and Fuyang counties. It is known for its four unique features: lush mountains, clear waters, a rich history, and tranquil scenery. The ancients praised the Fuchun River as "Fuchun is the most beautiful landscape in the world, both ancient and modern." I saw the Fuchun River in Fuyang and Tonglu counties in late January 2018. The smog was heavy, and the vegetation was sparse. I'll return to enjoy it in a better season and weather.

I have checked in at Fuyang Fuchun River before, it is so beautiful, and I have taken a real-life tour of Fuchun Mountain Residence.

Our company-sponsored trip to Tonglu was a complete bummer. We only went rafting for 15 minutes on the first day, and that was it. The second day, we cruised the Fuchun River, but it was nothing special. The scenery was just so-so, and the water wasn't clear.

Regardless of the rise and fall of dynasties, he just comes back to be himself, a simple self.

I recall a poem called "Recollections of Nanshan". In it, I took a small boat, immersed in the scenery with the wind, looked at the fishing lights on the river bank, and then turned to the deep bamboo forest, where I saw a small building with a broken stele. The monks began to recite again. In the red pavilion on the reed bank, I shook my green straw raincoat and invited Nanshan to drink with me.

I've participated in many Fuchun River crossings. The water quality is better than the Qiantang River, making it a great place to swim. The islands in the river are also nice.

I went to Taoyuan Spring Residence and Longmen Ancient Town! Experiencing the secluded life deep in the mountains and forests was truly unique!

Like water, this place is free from over-commercialization and instead feels remarkably tranquil and relaxed. With few tourists, the rich scent of mountain grass, sticky after the rain, mingled with the chirping of insects and birds, is refreshing. The thick moss, like a story etched by time, tells a story. This isn't a tourist mecca, but its tranquility and leisurely atmosphere bring a sense of peace and tranquility.

We marveled at the beauty of the Fuchun River, and what made us even more delighted was that we were the only two people running along the river, as if we were so rich that we could enjoy this beautiful scenery alone.

This trip has given me a new appreciation for the ancient Jiangnan region's legacy of scholars and collectors.

Driving on the Fuchun River, it was super cool. Even the annoying eyeworms (insects that specifically target human pupils) disappeared. The mountains, waters, and scenery were beautiful.

In the early morning, a thin mist shrouded the distant horizon, and the reflections of tree branches on the still water were truly captivating. The shimmering Fuchun River offers an indescribable beauty, attracting countless photographers. The contrast between the mountains and water, with the lifelike buildings nestled within, creates a dazzling landscape. It's truly breathtaking! This brief stop only satisfied my curiosity. When will I be able to calm down and savor the local customs and fishing village atmosphere?

About 50 kilometers out of Hangzhou, the river here is no longer called Qiantang River, but Fuchun River. Indeed, the Fuchun River is no longer as busy as the Qiantang River, but is more tranquil. The water has become clearer, and the river is even wider. After driving for another 20 kilometers, the river becomes narrower and the water is clearer. This place is no longer as flat as Hangzhou. The mountains on both sides are getting higher and higher. There is a paragliding base here. It takes 20 minutes to drive along the mountain road to reach the base. The scenery on the mountain is very pleasant and beautiful, and the air is really good.

It's suitable for swimming. When I went there, there were a lot of people swimming. The waves were huge and it was very exciting to watch. They were all professionals. I went there with classmates and friends. The river breeze was very refreshing and there was a helicopter flying overhead.

The real scene of Fuchun Mountain Residence is like a fairyland with beautiful mountains and waters.

Maybe it was the wrong season or weather, but I didn't have a very deep impression of the Fuchun River. However, boating on the river was still very pleasant.

Tonglu is located in the upper reaches of the Fuchun River. The urban area is well-developed and the location for viewing the river is great.

I went there on the first day of the Lunar New Year in 2016. It was quiet and not crowded. Standing on the bridge and looking at the Fuchun River, I felt as if I could see the scene when Huang Gongwang painted "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains".

It's beautiful, and the Huang Gongwang Forest Park and Stork Mountain by the Fuchun River are worth a walk. But Huang Gongwang is not a local and there is a fee for visiting.
