There is an elevator on the tower, so you don't have to worry. We walked for a long time from the car we got off at Longxiang Bridge. If you want to go to Leifeng Pagoda, it is recommended to take a taxi directly to Leifeng Pagoda, because it is still a long way to the station. If you want to go to Broken Bridge, you can get off at the subway station, but it will take more than half an hour to walk. In short, what I want to express is that West Lake is a big circle, and it is difficult to visit these two attractions in one day without taking a boat.

This time we set out in the afternoon and took a bus directly to the Leifeng Pagoda. Taking the elevator up, we first saw the protected Leifeng Pagoda ruins. I remembered that I had learned Lu Xun's "On the Collapse of Leifeng Pagoda" in junior high school. Today, I actually came to the foot of Leifeng Pagoda. The ruins are well protected, and no one can steal a brick from the pagoda to ward off evil and bring good fortune.

Going up, the reliefs on the first floor of the tower tell the story of White Snake and Xu Xian, which is amazing. The carvings are so exquisite! Each floor of the tower is a picture or electronic book display of the same theme, but I think none of them are as amazing as the reliefs on the first floor. Climbing the tower to a high place, you can overlook the whole view of West Lake. The weather is gloomy and the season is early, so the overall view of West Lake from a bird's eye view is not very moving. The exhibits in Lei Feng Tower are simple and thin, which is a little different from my previous imagination; both are rebuilt, and I think the settings in Tengwang Pavilion are much better than Lei Feng Tower.

Leifeng Pagoda is a landmark attraction of West Lake. It was built by King Qian Hongchu of Wuyue for his wife to give birth to a child, but it is estimated that more people know it because of the touching love story of "Legend of the White Snake". Monk Fahai tricked Xu Xian to Jinshan Mountain. White Snake flooded Jinshan Mountain to save Xu Xian and was trapped under Leifeng Pagoda by Fahai. "Leifeng is like an old monk, Baochu is like a beauty". Leifeng Pagoda and Baochu Pagoda on Beishan face each other across the lake, presenting a beautiful scene of "two pagodas reflected in one lake, facing each other from north to south". Whenever the sun sets, the shadows of the pagodas cross the sky, creating a unique scene, so it is called "Leifeng Sunset", which is one of the ten scenic spots of West Lake.

After we climbed to the top floor, we walked outside the tower to look down. The sun had already set, but the beautiful scenery of West Lake was still in full view. At that time, the pixel of the mobile phone was limited, so the effect could not be captured. The wind on the top of the tower was quite strong, blowing us like crazy women. After walking around the tower outside, we returned to the tower and walked down layer by layer. Although we were in a hurry, we still felt that it was worth the fare. At this time, there were not many group tourists, and we did not get the tour guide to explain, so we could only look at it slowly by ourselves. There are various exquisite wood carvings and murals and related stories on each floor, which are dazzling.

For an archaeology enthusiast like me, the second floor is of course my favorite. Inside the second floor of the base, the remaining bricks of the ancient tower are covered with glass, which is the only ancient artifact preserved in the tower.

The Lei Feng Pagoda Scenic Area is actually quite large, and there are many places to visit. Unfortunately, our time was limited, so we basically only visited the main tower carefully.

Arrived at the pier, walked for about ten minutes to the Leifeng Pagoda scenic area, very good, it is open today. I won't mention buying tickets to enter the gate. In the courtyard, there is an elevator to the bottom of the Leifeng Pagoda. Take the escalator to the bottom of the tower, and go directly through the gate into the tower. Do you still remember the junior high school text, Mr. Lu Xun's "On the Collapse of Leifeng Pagoda"? That's right, the original Leifeng Pagoda collapsed during the Republic of China, and the Leifeng Pagoda in front of us now is a new one. Although my daughter has not watched the TV series, she has just watched the movie "White Snake" and is very interested in the legend of the White Snake. She spent a long time reading the introductions in the tower. We went up to the second floor and came out of the tower. There are elevators and stairs to the top of the tower to overlook the West Lake. However, facing the length of the queue, I couldn't help but think of the terrible queue experience at the Guangzhou Tower... Let's leave.

It was the top priority of the exam! Today I finally saw the legendary Leifeng Pagoda. Of course, this is the Leifeng Pagoda after reconstruction. Leifeng Sunset is one of the ten scenic spots of West Lake. The newly built Leifeng Pagoda is the first colored bronze pagoda in China, which is particularly high-end and classy. First, take the escalator to enter the tower, and then there is an elevator directly to the top of the tower. It is really a lazy person's welfare. It's just that there are many tourists here, and there are many people waiting for the elevator, but the order of the queue is maintained very well! The view at the top of the tower is wide, and the beautiful scenery of West Lake can be seen at a glance, and many beautiful pictures were taken. After visiting the top floor, walk down the stairs one by one. The content of the exhibition on each floor is different. I like the wood carvings on one floor the most. It is not an exaggeration to describe it as exquisite! The bottom floor is the ruins of Leifeng Pagoda. You can see the ruins surrounded by glass. The contrast between the old and new towers is particularly shocking!

What is particularly humane is that there is an elevator to climb the tower! This is really a great treat for lazy people like us. The exterior of the Leifeng Pagoda that we can see with our naked eyes was built later. After entering the tower, you can see part of the original site. Climbing to the highest point, you can overlook the West Lake and see the island in the lake and the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon. There are also many explanation signs in the scenic area that tell the story of White Snake.

The beauty of this place lies in the fact that every step brings a new scene, and every glance can be appreciated.

I have heard that the current Leifeng Pagoda is no longer the original one, but when I really see this tower in front of me, I still feel a little sad. After entering from the underground floor, you can see the ruins of the Leifeng Pagoda that was once sung by poets and people. The new tower was actually rebuilt on the original site of the old tower in the Wuyue period. The original tower was probably built to enshrine the Buddha's hair relics. Later, it collapsed for various reasons. Leifeng Pagoda is well-known because of the folk legend of White Snake and Xu Xian, although the real Leifeng Pagoda has nothing to do with this. However, when rebuilding the new tower, wood carvings based on the familiar story background of the Legend of the White Snake were displayed on the entire circle of the inner wall. Although I didn't like watching the Legend of the White Snake when I was a child, I was familiar with the story of White Snake and Xu Xian. When I came to Hangzhou again, Leifeng Pagoda was a must-see attraction.

After leaving Yuewang Temple, we walked along Su Causeway to the foot of Leifeng Pagoda. We found that it was quite different from what we had imagined. Probably to facilitate tourists, escalators were installed outside the pagoda and elevators were installed inside the pagoda. The interior decoration was also quite modern. To borrow the words of a local friend in Hangzhou, the interior looked a bit like a science and technology museum. Having said that, the trip to Leifeng Pagoda was still worthwhile. Not only could you see the place where the White Snake was imprisoned in the legend, but you could also enjoy the beautiful sunset over the West Lake in Hangzhou.

The famous Leifeng Pagoda is located on the south bank of the West Lake. Although there is no White Snake here, it is famous. There is no reason not to visit Leifeng Pagoda when you come to West Lake. The current Leifeng Pagoda was built a long time ago. The ticket to the scenic area is 40 yuan. Next to the release pond is a yellow screen wall with "Namo Amitabha" written on it, and on the back of this wall is "Sunset Yuxiu".

There was no good scenery on the west side of the scenic area. We took a photo of a small pavilion and then returned to the ticket office of Leifeng Pagoda.



Leifeng Pagoda, the place where the legend of "The Legend of White Snake" is carried, but...

The real Leifeng Pagoda collapsed a long time ago. This one is a reconstruction. It is totally different from before the collapse!

As you can see from the scenic area guide map, it is not very big and the entrance fee is 40 yuan, which I personally feel is not worth it.

The Lingyin Temple has a history of more than 1,600 years and is such a large place, but it only costs 30 yuan. Yet, a modern replica of yours costs 40 yuan. I can only laugh.

I didn't go in to take a look, but I took a photo at the door so I could say I had been there.



But it cannot be denied that as a commanding point on the south line of West Lake, Leifeng Pagoda is indeed a good place to overlook West Lake.

Climbing the tower to have a panoramic view of West Lake is probably the best place to view the lake in Hangzhou.

The night view is actually more beautiful. But girls, don't go there casually, because it is a place where ladies are subdued.

It is newly built and not very interesting. There are some remnants of the original Leifeng Pagoda, which still gives it a sense of history. You can go upstairs and see the panoramic view of West Lake, which is great.

When you go to West Lake, you can just walk around the lake. I personally think it is not necessary to go to Leifeng Pagoda, and the ticket is not cheap, but you can see West Lake from the top, so you can go there if you want.

If Fahai saw that there was an elevator going up the mountain of Leifeng Pagoda, I wonder what he would think. As an engineering guy, I was thinking about the IP level of protection. What should I do if it rains on this open-air elevator? Will it rust? Is there any fault protection for short circuits? . . . . .

Entering the tower, the first floor is the former site of Leifeng Pagoda. According to official records, who knows how many times this tower has collapsed? How many times has it been rebuilt? Anyway, it is not clearly stated which chapter the White Snake is in. From some of the ground brick and earth structures, it can be seen that it has indeed gone through a lot of hardships. However, it is said that many scriptures and treasures such as stupas were found in the collapsed ruins. It is a blessing in disguise for us, the latecomers, to allow these cultural relics to reappear in the world. When I reached the second floor, there was actually a direct elevator. Oh my god. Hangzhou is really rich.

After climbing layer after layer, my wife would go out to see the scenery at each floor. There was really a layer of scenery, and each layer was more exciting than the last. When I reached the top floor, I found that Leifeng Pagoda was really high. Standing on the tower and holding the railing tightly, I felt like "there are always unruly people who want to harm me" (actually I am afraid of heights). Looking far into the distance, the entire West Lake is in full view, with rippling blue waves and countless cruise ships wandering on the water. The small island in the center of the lake also adds a touch of vitality to the plain lake water. Coming to the other side of the tower, the sunset slowly fell down the mountain. The peaks are stacked, layer by layer, and the scenes seem to add countless veils. The sunset is not dazzling, but it reflects the sunset glow on the horizon and the pretty face of my wife. Lei Feng Evening Glow - one of the ten scenic spots of West Lake, is indeed worthy of its reputation.

Coming down from the top of the tower, each floor of the tower is filled with calligraphy and paintings by ancient masters, scriptures, and exhibits. But the most unforgettable thing is the six reliefs of the Legend of White Snake, which vividly depict all the plots of White Snake and Xu Xian from their acquaintance, love, forced separation to their reunion. The carvings are exquisite and lifelike, with every feather, every strand of hair, every soldier and even every passerby different. It can be said that every detail is perfect.

You can go up there if you buy a ticket, and the view is great. But the best way to visit Leifeng Pagoda is to watch the sunset at Liu'an Wenying.

I went to Leifeng Pagoda from the bottom to the top and walked around. There is an elevator in the pagoda, which is quite convenient. I looked at the scenery on the top floor. The West Lake is beautiful, but the view is not amazing.

I really admire the ancients for being able to write so many moving poems when they climbed high and looked far, because at this moment, I can only say "too beautiful, too beautiful" at a loss for words. The wind on the tower was very strong, disturbing the tourists' hair and stirring our hearts. Here you can have a panoramic view of the West Lake: I saw the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon Island, and boats were sailing on the lake to and from the island and other places; I saw the Su Causeway that has existed since the Song Dynasty and has been continuously improved, and I was amazed that I had walked such a long way today; I saw the long Nanping Mountain and the Jingci Temple lying quietly in the middle, and I was a little regretful that I missed the opportunity to see the Nanping Evening Bell. Then we took the elevator to the top of the tower, where we could see the entire West Lake. The West Lake was really beautiful, but there were also many tourists in the tower.

Leifeng Pagoda is built on a mountain. No wonder it is so high. Ancient people were willing to build temples and pagodas on mountains. Tickets are the same price when bought online or on site.

We didn't take the elevator up because there were so many people lining up for the elevator. Someone said it would be dark by the time we got there, so we all chose to go up by stairs.

I probably climbed six or seven floors. It didn't look like that many floors. I don't know how I climbed that high.

Leifeng Pagoda Scenic Area (student ticket 20) is really user-friendly. There are escalators outside the tower and sightseeing elevators inside the tower. However, there are too many people taking the elevator and there is a long queue. We chose to walk up and sit down (fewer people)

Overall it's OK. The real tower has collapsed and it's a fake one now. But it's nice to climb up to see the West Lake and the surrounding scenery. The wood carving of the story of the Legend of the White Snake is well done.

This Leifeng Pagoda was rebuilt on the original site. The long escalator takes you to the bottom of the tower and you can see the original tower base. You can take the elevator to the top of the tower or walk up. The top of the tower overlooks the West Lake and is very beautiful. There is also a small building for worshipping relics and cultural relics unearthed from the tower base next to the tower. The ticket price is relatively reasonable.

The Leifeng Pagoda closes at 8pm. I recommend going to the Leifeng Pagoda after watching the sunset at about 6pm, climbing the tower to see the West Lake scenery, and then visiting the temple while there is still light. Leifeng Pagoda is very high, and it is perfect for viewing the scenery. You can overlook the vastness of West Lake and boating (you can take the sightseeing elevator or take the stairs to go up the tower. There are many people queuing for the elevator. Personally, I suggest that if you are with children who need to use strollers, elderly people in wheelchairs, or people with inconvenient legs and feet, you can choose to queue for the elevator. Otherwise, it is faster to take the stairs. It is actually okay to visit and rest after climbing one floor. It is not very tiring.)

After I went there, I realized that this was the newly built Leifeng Pagoda. No wonder there is an elevator and an underground transparent coin pool. The view from the tower is pretty good~

The history of Leifeng Pagoda is also full of disasters. It has been destroyed and rebuilt several times. Now we see the Leifeng Pagoda with elevators, which is heavily commercialized and cannot ward off evil spirits. The top of the pagoda overlooks the beautiful scenery of the entire West Lake. My daughter read the love story of White Snake and Xu Xian carefully in the drizzle.

The rebuilt Leifeng Pagoda is tall and handsome, less ancient and more modern. Leifeng Pagoda has a direct elevator. When you reach the top floor, you can overlook the West Lake Scenic Area, which is very beautiful. On the other side of the tower is the Leifeng Pagoda Underground Palace Unearthed Cultural Relics Exhibition, which is full of treasures.

It doesn't matter whether the sunset is beautiful or not, but I knew about Leifeng Pagoda before I knew about West Lake, all thanks to the TV series "Legend of the White Snake" when I was a child. So Leifeng Pagoda is a must-visit. But what about Jinshan Temple? Where is it?

Buy tickets separately. There is a distance to go up and you can take the escalator ~ not tiring. There is no escalator when you come down. Climbing the tower starts from the third floor, and you can queue up for the elevator. It looks crowded, but the wait is actually very fast. There is no need to climb up breathlessly.
