Longshan was originally a mountain, which was known as "Tongqiao Tiejing Xiaojinshan, Shixia Academy Living Dragon Mountain".
There is a shrine to Hai Rui on the island. He once served as the magistrate of Chun'an. The stele with the word "Shou" written in cursive script in the shrine is particularly eye-catching. It is composed of the four characters "sheng", "mu", "qi" and "shi".
Climbing up the stairs from the Hai Rui Temple, you will be surrounded by birdsong, flowers and lush trees. Walking along the 500-step stone path, you will reach the Ninggu Bell Tower.
There is an iron bell from the Ning Dynasty inside the building. You can ring the bell for fun, or you can look out at the beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains, and see Qiandao Lake Town, the county seat, across the water, and appreciate the beauty of the world.

Longshan, once a famous scenic spot in western Zhejiang, is known among the people of Chun'an as "Tongqiao Tiejing Little Gold Mountain, Shixia Academy Living Dragon Mountain." Located in the central lake area, 5.5 kilometers from Qiandao Lake Town, Longshan is named for its shape resembling a canglong. The island boasts attractions such as Hai Rui's poems, Shixia Academy, Banmu Square Pond, and the Bell Tower. Longshan is a landmark cultural attraction for Qiandao Lake tourists, making it a must-see during any visit to Qiandao Lake.
Beautiful... beautiful... beautiful... beautiful...
An island in Qiandao Lake. In my opinion, the only attractions worth seeing in Qiandao Lake are Meifengguan Island and Huangshan Peak. The small island in the lake is really uninteresting.
An island in Qiandao Lake. In my opinion, the only attractions worth seeing in Qiandao Lake are Meifengguan Island and Huangshan Peak. The small island in the lake is really uninteresting.
The main islands of Qiandao Lake are all quite nice, with lush greenery and dense pine and cypress trees. There is also the Hai Rui Temple on Longshan Island, a famous honest official in Chun'an County during the Ming Dynasty.
Looking at the islands, the lake and the trees, I felt as if I were in the sea, with rippling blue waves like ripples sending tourists away.
Longshan, once a famous scenic spot in western Zhejiang, became Longshan Island in the autumn of 1959, following the completion of the Xin'anjiang Reservoir. Located 5.5 kilometers from Chun'an County, Longshan Island covers an area of 525 mu (approximately 0.45 square kilometers). Its name stems from its shape, which resembles a prone dragon about to take flight. The folk song "Tongqiao Tiejing Xiaojinshan, Shixia Academy Huolongshan" refers to this place.
There are places that are worth visiting once, and their fame is greater than their actual scenery.
There's a Hai Rui Temple on Longshan Island, dedicated to Hai Rui, a prominent official from Chun'an. Interested parties can learn more about it. The boat crew said it was the largest island and a long walk, so we opted for a sightseeing bus (20 yuan per person). We later realized it wasn't necessary, as walking was much shorter and the bus made a circuitous route. Longshan Island sells local specialties like drunken fish and dried fish, though they're relatively expensive. For Qiandao Lake specialties, there's a special Xiushui Street just back at the dock, where they're much cheaper.
If "Meifeng Island" is for viewing natural scenery, then "Longshan Island" is for viewing cultural history.
The architectural "historic sites" on Longshan Island were mainly built in memory of "Hai Rui", the magistrate of Chun'an in the Ming Dynasty.
When it comes to Hai Rui, everyone knows he was an upright and honest official. He was also a filial son, perhaps because he lost his father at a young age and devoted himself to caring for his elderly mother. Because he was from Hainan, he would often clean the house barefoot by washing the floor with water.
These introductions happened to be detailed in the TV series "The Ming Dynasty" (Chen Baoguo played Emperor Jiajing). I watched it from beginning to end and was deeply impressed by Hai Rui.
The island is surrounded by lakes like other islands, and there is no other special scenery. There are some replicas of historical figures on the pier, which are probably used to set off the atmosphere. The island itself has no historical and cultural background, including the Hai Rui Temple, which is a replica. It is the last stop before returning to the pier. I personally feel that this is the stop where the scenic spot makes up enough time for everyone to visit. There are cakes and stories told by the tour guide on the island for sale, and the price is not expensive.
Longshan Island is primarily a place to visit for the Hai Rui Shrine, a prominent Qing official and a filial son. There's a shop on the island selling filial piety cakes. The tour guide explained that they're patented and unavailable elsewhere, so he urged everyone to buy them before it's too late. But is it particularly delicious? Why would I even consider buying this patented cake?
Fffffffffffffffffffffff
Longshan Island is named for its shape, which resembles a prone dragon about to take flight. The folk song "Tongqiao Tiejing Xiaojinshan, Shixia Academy Huolongshan" refers to this place. The island's main attraction is its historical architecture, including the Haigong Temple, built in memory of the upright official Hai Rui.
One of the islands in Qiandao Lake, it is actually really beautiful, but you have to spend at least 2 days here, otherwise it will not be enough.
One of the many island attractions in Qiandao Lake.
The island is covered with green trees, so it doesn't feel hot in the summer. The air is also good.
The third island we visited this time was Longshan Island, where the Hai Rui Temple is located.
The island has the Hai Rui Temple, beautiful scenery, and a local specialty shop.
The first island in the one-day tour of the central area of Qiandao Lake is very beautiful, with the Hai Rui Temple on it.
Longshan, once a famous scenic spot in western Zhejiang, became Longshan Island in the autumn of 1959 after the Xin'anjiang Reservoir was built. The island houses the Hai Rui Temple, with its elegant eaves and pointed corners. Climbing the approximately 500 stone steps from the temple leads directly to the Ninggu Bell Tower.
It was originally Longshan. After the Xin'anjiang Reservoir was built, it became Longshan Island in the Qiandao Lake Scenic Area.
It is an island worth visiting. There is the Hai Rui Temple to commemorate the sage, and you can also climb up to see the lake.
This island is even more boring~~ There is only a Hai Rui Temple~~
One of the many island attractions in Qiandao Lake.
It is basically an island on the same line as Meifeng Island, with the Hai Rui Ancestral Hall
Good, unique taste, affordable price and beautiful environment
Longshan Island is the third stop of the Qiandao Lake tour, mainly for visiting the Hai Rui Temple.
When I went up, I was deeply impressed by the dragon pillars. The architecture of the Hai Rui Temple is also very distinctive. It is great to walk from Pier 1 to Pier 2, appreciate it, and breathe fresh air.
There are two scenic spots on Longshan Island, a bell tower and a Haigong Temple. The Haigong Temple is very beautiful.
The Longshan Island in Qiandao Lake feels average. The most comfortable feeling in the whole lake is to appreciate the quiet lake water in the early morning. The scenery of the artificial island is really average.

I love any place with water. I can’t really tell which photos are of which islands, but I just know they are all beautiful.
The third island, Longshan Island, is a landmark cultural attraction for Qiandao Lake tourists. Longshan was once a famous scenic spot in western Zhejiang, and the people of Chun'an have long known it as "Tongqiao Tiejing Little Golden Mountain, Shixia Academy Living Dragon Mountain." The island boasts attractions such as Hai Rui's poems, Shixia Academy, Banmu Square Pond, and a bell tower. At 1:10 PM, we arrived at Longshan Island. As soon as we landed, we could see a stone archway prominently inscribed with the Chinese characters "Longshan" (literally "Longshan"), flanked by six coiled dragon pillars. Climbing the steps leads to the highest point of Longshan, but unfortunately, we didn't have time to climb. We continued along the lakeside stone path to the Hai Rui Temple, where we entered to learn about the glorious deeds of the upright official Hai Rui. The entire Longshan Island tour lasted only 30 minutes, so what could we expect to see? It was a quick visit. The kids didn't even bother getting off the boat; the sun was too blazing, and it was truly unbearable (⊙ o ⊙)!
An island in Qiandao Lake, quite famous
Beautiful, very nice environment. Beautiful, very nice environment.
An island without dragons, just so-so~~~~
This island is really average, there is nothing much to see or do, but it is surrounded by water and mountains, so you can enjoy the surrounding scenery.
Generally speaking, a small island in Qiandao Lake is confused.
I separated from the group here, walked in the opposite direction, and then ran so fast that I almost didn't get on the boat.
It is a relatively large island with beautiful scenery. Both the island shape and the plants are better. Compared with man-made islands such as Monkey Island and Bird Island, the natural scenery is better.
The Hai Rui Temple is on this island, but in fact it was rebuilt by New China. The real Hai Rui Temple was submerged under the reservoir long ago.
The scenery is nice, there is the Hai Rui Temple, but the boat trip does not give you much time, so you can't enjoy the trip
Longshan, once a famous scenic spot in western Zhejiang, is known among the people of Chun'an as "Tongqiao Tiejing Little Gold Mountain, Shixia Academy Living Dragon Mountain." Located 5 kilometers from the county seat, Longshan Scenic Area covers an area of 3.5 hectares and stands at an altitude of 208 meters. The island boasts attractions such as Hai Rui's Ci, Shixia Academy, Half an Acre Square Pond, and a bell tower. Longshan is a landmark cultural attraction for Qiandao Lake tourism.
In Hai Rui's ancestral hall, there's a large seated statue, with a few ignorant children perched on it. With the culture of clean governance gaining popularity, some of the island's layout is quite fitting for the current political climate. But beyond these cultural features, the island also boasts stunning natural scenery.
Attraction 1. The island houses the Hai Rui Temple. Climbing the steps from the temple, you'll be greeted by birdsong, fragrance of flowers, and lush greenery. A short 500-step stone path leads to the Ninggu Bell Tower, which houses an iron bell from the Ning Dynasty. From there, you can gaze out over the lake and mountains, gazing across the water at the majestic Qiandaohu Town, the county seat, and experience a rare and unparalleled beauty. I remember it being known as "Tongqiao Tiejing, Little Gold Mountain; Shixia Academy, Living Dragon Mountain."
We only had half an hour, which was really limited. We briefly looked around the Haigong Temple and didn't climb up, but it's probably a good place for anti-corruption education. The filial piety cakes we bought on the island were 23 yuan a box for individual travelers, but they said they were 20 yuan for group tours. I tried them but didn't buy them. I tried the taro flavor, and it tasted like mung bean cakes! But the meaning is there, and it's a great way to bring some home to honor your mother-in-law!
Hai Rui was honest throughout his life and never accepted bribes.
The vegetables we eat are all grown by ourselves.
Longshan is planted with bamboo to commemorate Hai Rui's noble character (I guess).
Longshan Island with a story is one of my favorite islands
Longshan Island, a relatively commercial island, is a humanistic island and the last stop of the trip.
Went there on a rainy day. Didn't feel that good. Quite disappointed.
The island is relatively small. There is a Hai Rui Temple on the island, but the scenic spot is too artificial, and the constant stream of tourists affects the quality of tourism.
We took a photo with my colleagues by the stone lions below. Having never climbed up there before, the sight of the hundreds of steps gave me a chill. It was quite hot at the time, so I didn't go up. Our trip was organized by the company, so we only had a short time on the island.
The main feature of the island is its comfort. It is at a certain height and is a good place to cool off.
There is nothing but water and dense trees. It's so hot that I don't feel like sightseeing.
I feel that it was set up to add a bit of novelty, and the artificial carving elements are a bit rustic.
There are no entertainment activities on Longshan Island, but the Hai Rui Temple is worth seeing.
The water of Qiandao Lake is so beautiful, and it is even more beautiful when viewed from the island.
Hai Rui once came here when he was the magistrate of Chun'an. There is also a stele on the island with the word "Shou" written by Hai Rui to celebrate his mother's birthday.
This is a cultural island, mainly to commemorate Hai Rui.
There are so many roads, I am exhausted from walking, it is so hot!!
The Haigong Temple is a feature here, but there is nothing special about the other scenery.
I didn’t buy the filial piety cake, and I feel a little regretful. After all, it is an island with cultural heritage.
Longshan Island is the largest island in the central area of Thousand Island Lake. The scenic spots are well built and the environment is good. There is Haigong Temple for you to visit.
The artificial feeling is too strong. I feel that most of the islands in Qiandao Lake are like this. I am very disappointed.
The scenery is pretty good, a good place worth visiting
The main purpose here is to visit the Hai Rui Temple and buy some local specialties. The island is not big, but it has dense trees and bamboo forests and the air is good. After the tour, we took a boat back to the cruise ship terminal. The whole trip took about 6 hours.
The sky was already dark when we arrived at the island, so we took the opportunity to take photos. The tour guide said there was nothing on the mountain, so no one went up.
It's just so-so, one of the must-visit places for lake cruise.
We visited the Haigong Temple on the island. To the north stood Justice Bao (I had visited the Baogong Temple in Kaifeng) and to the south stood the Haigong Temple (Hai Rui - two famous honest officials in history). After taking photos and replenishing supplies, we boarded the cruise ship and returned to our starting point in the morning. It was already 3:30 in the afternoon.
Hai Rui's former residence is described mostly in classical Chinese, which made me dizzy and brought me back to high school in an instant.
There is a legend on the island that there is a cake that can only be found on Longshan Island. I forgot the name but it is delicious.
Longshan Island's main attraction is the Hai Rui Temple, a Hui-style building with carved beams and painted rafters, showcasing its meticulous construction. Hai Rui has long been a role model for officials, and the temple serves as an educational base for the Commission for Discipline Inspection. I was particularly impressed by the Hui-style toilets, which even have a three-star rating!
The rain was getting heavier, and after we walked past the first island, there was nothing new to see, so we walked quickly. That was all.
Longshan Island is quite large. If you have time, climb the stone steps to the highest point for a panoramic view of Thousand Island Lake. The scenery is truly stunning this season, with birdsong, flowers, and lush greenery. The island also houses the Hai Rui Temple, a memorial dedicated to Hai Rui, who served as magistrate of Chun'an.
The island sells souvenir filial piety cakes. Hai Rui was an incorruptible official, but his family was very poor. On his mother's birthday, he mixed the few coarse grains he had at home and made them into cakes to celebrate. Hai Rui was known for his integrity and filial piety, so these filial piety cakes hold great significance. Each box costs 20 yuan, and you can choose from eight flavors. I tried them and they were delicious, making them a great souvenir for friends and family!
Longshan Island is the largest island in the central area of Qiandao Lake. Hai Rui's poems, Shixia Academy, Half Acre Square Pond, Bell Tower, etc. are built on the island.
There is only one Hai Rui Temple, which was built by the government in the later period, not the original one. . . . Since the weather is good, I just took a walk around.
Longshan, once a famous scenic spot in western Zhejiang, became Longshan Island in the autumn of 1959 after the Xin'anjiang Reservoir was completed and filled with water. Located 5.5 kilometers from Chun'an County, Longshan Island covers a total area of 525 mu (approximately 0.45 square kilometers). It is named after its shape, which resembles a prone dragon, about to take flight. The Hai Rui Temple is located on the island. A brick-and-wood structure, it combines a hall and courtyard, boasting sweeping eaves, carved beams, and carved pillars. It exudes a simple, elegant, and spacious atmosphere. The front hall features a stele gallery, many of which are by renowned artists, with the "Longevity" stele being particularly noteworthy. A nine-foot-tall statue of Hai Rui stands in the back hall, and a series of traditional Chinese paintings depicting his achievements hang on the walls. In 1562, during the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty, Hai Rui left Chun'an after completing his term. The people of Chun'an erected a "Departure Monument" and built a shrine to commemorate him.
