In fact, the water quality of Qiandao Lake is really amazing. Most of the water sources in Hangzhou come from Qiandao Lake... Also because of the protection of water sources, no industrial factories are allowed to be built here. The government even stopped many folk celebrations that may pollute the water source... The glass submarine tunnel that had passed the preliminary review was also cancelled at a later stage...

All of this makes the life of the people of Qiandao Lake extremely leisurely, and also makes Qiandao Lake extremely livable and suitable for vacation.

Qiandao Lake is so big that there are many ways to play. You can cruise the lake and see the scenery. There are two major scenic spots, Huangshan Peak in the southeastern lake area, and Meifeng Peak in the central lake area. But I prefer Huangshan Peak. Cycling, a large loop, 150 kilometers, with excellent scenery, lake bays, mountains and waters, bridges, and sunsets. The refreshing ways to play in summer are boating, rafting, and swimming. There are also hiking and mountain climbing. Generally, there are many homestays in the city today, such as Pailing Peninsula, but the location of the homestays is more remote. There are more hotels and family-style hotels by the lake. There are youth hostels, but they are few, with only one, "Qiandao Lake Pailing International Youth Hostel".

The recommended way to visit Qiandao Lake in the travel guide is to take a cruise, but for us, driving around the lake is the first choice. We drove southwest along the Chunyang Line on the east bank of the lake, turned to the west bank of the lake and then drove northeast along the Chunkai Line. We turned southeast at the Qiandao Lake Bridge at the north end and made a big circle around the lake. The road around Qiandao Lake is very well built. In addition to the motor vehicle lane, there is also a bicycle lane specially built for cycling enthusiasts. There are many rest stations and viewing platforms along the way, which are convenient for self-driving tourists and cycling tourists to slowly enjoy the scenery here.

Whether it is Qiandao Lake or Taiping Lake, the reputation of boat trips to islands is not very good, and it is not our interest. So we chose to enjoy the two lakes at the beginning and the end of this trip in a leisurely way. As soon as we opened the door of the room, we knew we made the right choice! We couldn't wait to run to the balcony, and the whole Qiandao Lake filled our sight without reservation. The sky was as clear as water, the water was as shimmering as scales, the nearby islands were as green as gems, and the mountains in the distance were stacked like curtains. All of this was covered with gorgeous sunshine, as if we had just opened a door to heaven.

Where the islands are clustered, the islands seem to be connected and not connected, and the lake surface is separated into different widths, twists and turns, and the direction is difficult to distinguish, forming a unique landscape of a maze on the lake; where the islands are sparse, the lake surface is wide, deep, and vast, just like the sea surface.

It is very convenient to get to Qiandao Lake from Hangzhou by high-speed rail. You can take a bus to the passenger station after leaving the high-speed rail station, and then take a taxi to the central scenic area. It is not too slow to buy a boat ticket in one day. You don't need to buy those consumption items. It is very comfortable to find an angle to relax. There is a bus to the high-speed rail station after leaving the scenic area. You can buy the nearest high-speed rail back to Hangzhou and have a good meal and enjoy the night view of West Lake.

The second place was for us to eat. A plate of very small fish head cost 248. My friend and I said we didn't want to eat, so the tour guide closed us. First, on the first island, the tour guide will force you to buy a cable car ticket, which costs 60 yuan per person. The cable car only runs for a minute. After getting on, I found that it couldn't be smaller. I just took a few photos. The second island is even more so. It is said that there is an ancestral hall, but after you go up, the first thing you see is a seller. The specialty of the island is quite delicious. It costs 20 yuan a box and you can buy it. Then there is the ancestral hall. What the hell is that! This island is for you to shop. We didn't go to the third island. I heard from the tour guide that if you don't spend money, you have to walk for a long time. I didn't want to go up at all. In short, the place is really beautiful, but it's really a rip-off! The natural scenery is nice, but the service is poor, the charges are high, and the cost-effectiveness is poor. In addition to the entrance fee and boat ticket, this kind of parking lot in the countryside charges 45 yuan for six or seven hours.

Qiandao Lake Scenic Area has two options: the central lake area and the southeast lake area. If you have enough time, you can visit one scenic area in two days and then buy a boat ticket. If you only visit one, you need to make a comprehensive comparison. Both scenic areas visit three islands and one of them can overlook the panoramic view of Qiandao Lake. The central lake area is better in terms of convenient transportation and close to the hotel and passenger terminal. Meifeng Island has more islands for panoramic views, but there are relatively more tourists. Huangshan Peak in the southeast lake area can see "the world for the public", which is more visually appealing. The shoe and hat platform is a very worthwhile attraction on the island. The karst limestone group is constantly impacted and eroded by sea water, naturally forming a group of stone sculptures of various shapes. Qiandao Lake has sufficient water vapor, so even on sunny days in spring and summer, the view will not be very clear. It may be better in autumn. In the early morning of Qiandao Lake, the mist is diffused, the mountains and waters are connected, and the water and sky are one color; the sun has not yet appeared, and the cold wind blows on the lake.

Maybe it was to commemorate the ancient Hai Rui. We took a boat again to Meifeng Island, the largest island with the best scenery. Under the guidance of the boat captain, we bought cable car tickets. Fortunately, only a few of the more than 1,000 islands have been developed, and the already developed islands such as Monkey Island and Snake Island have been closed for protection, so the water quality of Qiandao Lake can reach the first-class standard and can be directly drunk. During the trip, we went to several islands. There were some buildings on the islands, and the vegetation was damaged to a certain extent, but it was still very dense.

There are some shops and other service and entertainment facilities on the island, but no hotels. The tour guide told us that this is because they are afraid that the wastewater generated by the hotels will pollute the lake water.

The mountains shrouded in rain and fog are like a girl wearing a veil, hazy and ethereal, appearing and disappearing; when the sun comes out, they are radiant and dazzling, as if you are in a dream.

Qiandao Lake Scenic Area has green mountains and clear waters, but other natural features cannot compare to the plateau scenery.

We did not choose a cruise but took a slow tour by the lake, enjoying the beautiful scenery while absorbing the fresh air, walking, watching and taking pictures. There were locals selling loquats on the roadside. Loquats are abundant here, especially white loquats, which are the first time I have seen them. They are small in core and thick in flesh and very delicious. On the road, I also saw many young people riding bicycles along the lake. If young people come to visit Qiandao Lake, I suggest riding a bicycle. The scenery along the lake is also very beautiful. In the evening, we went out to watch the sunset by the lake. The weather on that day was still very good, not too cold or too hot, blue sky and white clouds, and the sunset afterglow were really great! So we toured Qiandao Lake slowly.

Not far from the pier, there is a small hill across the road. Several locals were entering from the mountain gate, so we followed them. The hill was not high and the scenery was average, but there were green trees and insects. Unfortunately, we could not see the lake view when we reached the top of the hill. We circled down the hill and came out from another gate. We continued along the lakeside cycling route. Probably all the tourists went to take a cruise, and there were almost no people walking or cycling. The lakeside scenery was very good. The beautiful scenery along the lake could not make up for our almost broken legs. We had a drink by the lake. Qiandao Lake was pitch black at night, with only stars, the moon and the lights on the terraces on the left and right.

Is there any worse scenic spot? All the scenery is artificial. Once you get on the boat and buy the ticket, your journey of being ripped off begins. Once on the boat, you are asked to pay extra to sit in the private room. They said you can't see anything below, and they don't let you go to the front of the boat to see the scenery. There are only three islands in total. All the activities on each island are self-funded. Of course, you can choose not to pay for it yourself. If you don't pay for it yourself, you will have nothing to do. You can only wait.

Qiandao Lake is an artificial lake formed to dam the lower reaches of the Xin'anjiang River for the construction of the Xin'anjiang Hydropower Station.

The scenery of Qiandao Lake is just so-so, nothing eye-catching, and the tickets are so expensive. It's not worth it. In March, you might as well go to Wuxi Yuantouzhu to see the cherry blossoms! Staying in the hotel is OK, but for a lake cruise in the scenic area, forget it. The most popular InterContinental Hotel was a little disappointing because of the high expectations. The most satisfying thing about this trip was the dinner at Ningxiang Garden in Kaiyuan Resort, which received a full score. I'm willing to go to Qiandao Lake again just for Ningxiang Garden.

Qiandao Lake is quite famous, but it is actually a reservoir. There are many islands in the lake, but there are no attractions. If there are any, they are artificially developed. There are a lot of negative oxygen ions, but the lake water is not very clean. You can see a lot of garbage floating. Is this the source of a certain mountain spring? There is a strong commercial atmosphere, and the experience of boat trips and fish heads is not satisfactory.
