The environment of the streets between Wuzhen East Gate and West Gate is poor, which gives people a worse impression than other big towns. The tickets to the two gates are very expensive, costing 200 yuan. There is no discount for seniors over 60 years old, just like the Broken Bridge in the West Gate, which makes the elderly want to go there! For the elderly to visit Jiaxing scenic spots, it is better to go to Yuehe Historical Street and Meiwan Street, which do not require tickets! There is also a cheap ticket to Meihuazhou for 20 yuan. I think the scenery of Meihuazhou is better than that of Wuzhen. The peaches at Fengqiao in summer are also famous in Jiaxing!

In terms of cost-effectiveness, Tongli and Xitang have tickets that are only half the price of Wuzhen East and West Gates, and they also have discounted tickets for the elderly. Tongli Qingming Street is very lively, and people line up to enter the Retreat and Reflection Garden, which is far more popular than Wuzhen. Xitang Misty Corridor is beautiful. The following picture is for tourists to see if the scenery of the ancient town is beautiful. This picture is of the ancient town, not in Wuzhen! Look at the picture. We took an early bus to Wuzhen in the morning. Practice proved that our decision was wrong. Wuzhen is really not worth going there so early. First of all, I would like to remind everyone that if you buy tickets for Wuzhen East and West on China-TravelNote, you must buy them one day in advance. You cannot use them on the day you buy them. And if you buy a combined ticket for East and West, you must use it up within one day. It feels a bit tricky.

The hotel owner said you can just choose to go to either Wuzhen or Xitang, they are both pretty similar.

For the ticket price, East Gate is 110, West Gate is 150, and the combined ticket is 190. You can enjoy the 150 ticket price when staying in the 7 hotels under the scenic area, and it is valid for the whole day. Two of them are youth hostels. There are also many homestays in the scenic area, but they are almost 500+. The opening hours of East Gate are 7 o'clock and West Gate are 9 o'clock, so if you stay there, there are few people before 9 o'clock in the morning, and you can take as many photos as you want.

Dongzha is actually not very big, but it is definitely not small either, and there are even aboriginal people living there. Nanzha has not been developed yet and is closer to the original ecology. The entire Wuzhen scenic area is very formal, and there will be no random charges. The sightseeing bus at Xizha will go even if there is only one person.

I have visited more than 20 ancient towns, but Wuzhen is my favorite. I think it is the most beautiful place. It is not so commercial. It is a good place with ancient town landscape as the main part and humanities as the supplement. Here you can be in a daze and take pictures quietly. I recommend you to try the boat trip in the scenic area. The boat is a group ticket. A boat can take up to 10 people. The charter price is 200 yuan. The 10 of us shared a boat, and each person only spent 20 yuan. It took about half an hour to visit the Dongzha Scenic Area. After you buy the ticket at the entrance of the scenic area, there will be an electric car that goes directly to the hostel. The electric car is free to ride, and only people who live in the scenic area have this privilege. Another thing to note is that after buying the ticket and checking in, there is a special check-in area in the ticket hall, which is very obvious. The staff will give you a map of the scenic area and point out where you will check in. In the evening, all the lights of Wuzhen's night scene will be lit, and there will be more rowing on the water. This is also the best time to watch the night view on the boat. In fact, Wuzhen at night is full of beautiful scenery. Friends don’t have to rush. I didn't expect that when I saw it, the ancient town that I thought should be very fresh and clean actually looked a bit greasy. In this way, compared with Wuzhen, the Nianbadu Ancient Town that I went to by accident before is more to my taste. The cobblestone alleys glowed yellow in the sunset, and the evening breeze passed over the quiet Fengxi River, creating a golden scale-like wave. And I walked across the Zhupo Corridor Bridge in this dusk scene, turned to the bluestone streets and alleys that glowed with tiredness, and walked on that road. At that dusk, I felt the strong charm of the ancient town, and the air I smelled seemed to contain a bowl of soup made from the ancient town. The boss said that November is the off-season.

For Wuzhen, whether it is the small and beautiful East Gate or the ladylike West Gate, they show the beauty of the Jiangnan water town vividly. It is recommended that you go to the East Gate first and then to the West Gate. Relatively speaking, the East Gate is smaller. The two places are charged separately, and you can also buy a joint ticket.

He couldn't shout and no one cared. Also, when I returned to the hotel, an old man with his grandson rode a motorcycle directly from my left side and turned right. I braked immediately and scared me. I went to find him. The old man was very powerful and said that he would hit it if he hit it. He was very arrogant. I was very angry that I didn't ride a bike like this. Besides, there were children on the car. I saw him say that and I left. I feel that the quality of people in the scenic area needs to be improved. It reminds me that it is the old people who have become bad, or the bad people who have become old. I don't want to play at all.

I paid 900 yuan for a big bed. The towel in the shower room was very dirty, like it had been used to wipe shoes. The key point was that they put the clean side outwards, and I wiped my wet hair with it as if it was clean and dry. The next morning I reported it to the service staff. She said it was a floor towel. I said how could a floor towel be hung on the shower door? Even if it was a floor towel, it couldn't be so dirty. I highly recommend the shredded radish pancake (3 yuan each), which is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, oily but not greasy. The freshly fried pancake is still sizzling with oil. The boss only fries the pancakes and packs them in bags himself.

Basically, everyone who bought Dingsheng Cake would buy a duck leg. I sat on the steps under the eaves about 10 cm above the stone road (basically sitting on the ground) and ate the duck leg. It was really delicious. I raised my head from time to time and made eye contact with passers-by. I was often asked where I bought it. We were really living advertisements.

When you come to Wuzhen, of course you have to take a boat ride. Even though it costs 60 yuan per person and the children can also pay the adult price when they grow up, you will always feel like something is missing if you don’t take the boat. What’s more, there are not many people on the street except for the tourists who live in the town. With such bright lights and such beautiful bridges and flowing water, how can you not take a boat ride?

The tour guide said that if we stayed in Wuzhen, we could buy a combined ticket to stay in Xizha District, because the night view of Xizha District is very beautiful. The feeling of the Jiangnan water village was still very good. I lived close, so I came in the morning and left in the evening. It would be more interesting to stay a little longer.

Unlike the retro ancient city of Taierzhuang, this place completely preserves the style and pattern of the ancient water town in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. Houses built along the river, deep courtyards, high ridges and eaves, stone paths, and old wooden houses all seem to suggest a kind of sentiment and atmosphere. We only visited Dongzha, and later we found out that there were many other beautiful places we didn't see, which was a pity.

We walked to the residential area of ​​Wuzhen to experience the slow pace of life and find a place to have dinner. After dinner, we walked up the street in front of the store. We felt like locals who had lived here for more than ten years. We just walked on the street after dinner. When we were tired, we sat on the stone pier beside the road and emptied our minds. There are almost no traffic lights on the streets. Cars always wait for people here. Only when pedestrians walk to the other side will cars slowly move forward. I am used to people waiting for cars in Guangzhou, so the sudden change is a bit hard for me to adapt.

Wuzhen at night has an indescribable flavor! The streets at night have an indescribable tranquility! There is not too much noise, only the evening breeze caresses your cheeks! Let the restless heart during the day calm down instantly!

I particularly like the architectural style of Wuzhen, which is made of wood, stone and bricks. The beauty of Jiangnan is irresistible to me! I am particularly grateful for the two days I spent in Wuzhen. Every day was sunny. Walking on the stone pavement, I could always smell a faint wood fragrance, which made me feel relaxed and at peace.

Since Wuzhen doesn't open until 9 o'clock every day, it's really pleasant to get up early in the morning to go shopping, and there are few people.

There are still many small shops selling things on Wuzhen's pedestrian street, but they feel better than those in the city. The density of shops here is not high, and there are no strange modern signs or anything like that to destroy the quaint atmosphere. The night view of Wuzhen is indeed still quite beautiful.

The team building program arrived in Wuzhen at night. The activity was a night cruise. The entrance ticket + boat ticket cost 260 per person, which was very expensive. The lights at night concealed the shortcomings of the commercialized ancient town and made the tour more pleasant.

All tickets to Wuzhen are valid for one day, so it is best to choose a full day to visit, East Gate in the morning and West Gate in the afternoon. However, I heard that if you stay in the scenic area, the ticket is valid for two days. I haven't tested it myself, so you can call the hotel in advance to inquire.

The ticket price for the East Scenic Area is 120 yuan, the ticket price for the West Scenic Area is 150 yuan, and the combined ticket price for the East and West Scenic Area is 200 yuan. No tickets are required for South Scenic Area and North Scenic Area, which are basically where the people of Wuzhen live. There is nothing to visit in North Scenic Area, but there is an old street in South Scenic Area, so you can go there if you have nothing to do.

Take note: There are human-powered tricycles in Wuzhen that carry passengers. They are said to be managed uniformly by the government, with a rated number of passengers and fixed license plates. They are quite professional. But it is useless for the government alone to be reliable. These tricycle drivers are not necessarily reliable. They are just like taxis that take detours. The prices are not very cheap either. It is recommended that you turn on the navigation when riding and don't be cheated.

Walking into Wuzhen, you will see white walls, black tiles, small bridges and flowing water. Everything before your eyes carries the strong charm of Chinese ink paintings, with carved beams and painted buildings, and old houses in stone alleys.

This place, known as the "land of fish and rice, and the home of silk", has been a favorite place for literati and poets to chant poems and chat since ancient times. It is also the hometown of the great writer Mao Dun.

If Dongzha is a beautiful girl from a small family, then Xizha is a lady from a big family. Dongzha is more popular because of the locals living there, but it has some minor shortcomings. Xizha is a pure scenic spot and very commercial. If I have to choose, I still like Dongzha, which is more in line with my Jiangnan in mind.

I read the travel guide in advance, and it recommended visiting Dongzha in the morning and Xizha in the afternoon, because the night view of Xizha is more beautiful, so I followed this route.

There is a self-service ticket machine at the entrance of the scenic spot, and it seems to be 150 yuan per person. I was a little surprised about the ticket for this scenic spot. I thought I could enter after booking a room. Who knew that the room and the scenic spot ticket are two different things. There is no way, I can only spend money to buy the scenic spot ticket and swipe Alipay.

Enter the service center, go to the front desk to check in, and then check in your luggage. The staff told us that the roads in the scenic area are all stone roads, which are not easy to pull suitcases, so they suggested that we check in our luggage.

We went to Wuzhen during the May Day holiday and stayed at the Meigao Hotel in Puyuan at night. The scenery of Wuzhen West Gate is so beautiful with small bridges and flowing water! So this attraction is highly recommended, but the ticket is a little expensive. As soon as I came in, I saw poplar flowers floating in the air, and some people even said they were dandelions! Hehehehehe

Wuzhen Tourist Service Center mainly handles accommodation reception, luggage storage and ticket sales.

There are three types of tickets for Wuzhen Scenic Area: 1. West Scenic Area 150 yuan, 2. East Scenic Area 120 yuan, and 3. East Scenic Area combined ticket 200 yuan. Most tourists choose the third type. Tickets for tourists staying in the scenic area are valid for two days. You can register with your ID card at the customer service center for face recognition. You can enter West Scenic Area unlimited times, and East Scenic Area can be entered once at 3 pm the next day with the ticket. Tickets for tourists not staying in the scenic area are valid on the same day (one entry to West Scenic Area and one entry to East Scenic Area). We chose the combined ticket and planned to see the night view of West Scenic Area that night and go to East Scenic Area at noon tomorrow.

The ticket office of Wuzhen Tourist Service Center is the same price as online ticket booking. It is recommended to book tickets on site. As long as you avoid national holidays and weekends, there won't be many people and you don't need to worry about long queues.

You can look at the back of the ticket, you may find useful information, for example, it costs 10 yuan to take a rickshaw from Xizha to Dongzha! Don't wait until the driver says 30 yuan, then you bargain down to 20 yuan, and you are still secretly happy about your "greatness", but in the end you find out that it only costs 10 yuan, then you will be embarrassed!

Wuzhen Scenic Area is different from other scenic spots. The hotels, homestays and inns in the entire Wuzhen Scenic Area are all owned and managed by Wuzhen Group. Wuzhen's accommodation caters to different consumption levels. The high-end hotels in the scenic area cost thousands of yuan, while the mid-range ones cost hundreds of yuan per night.

As you walk out of the hostel, a Jiangnan water village appears before your eyes, and everything seems to be in a dream. Walking across the small bridge and brushing the flowing water, you will see people everywhere.

When traveling to Wuzhen, you must pay attention to the weather. The view is best when it is clear during the day, but the night view is not greatly affected at night. All kinds of weather are acceptable.

Wuzhen is a thousand-year-old town with quaint interior landscapes. However, since the streets are narrow old streets, it is recommended to travel there in the off-season.
