Xizha Old Street is 1.8 kilometers long. There is a main line on each side of the river. There are many bridges over the river, and you can freely cross the two banks.

Wuzhen is divided into two scenic areas, East Gate and West Gate. You can buy a package ticket. East Gate is suitable for daytime, while West Gate is suitable for night. However, the lights in West Gate are turned off at 10:30 at night. B&Bs in the scenic area can be booked, but the price is not affordable and the conditions are limited. We booked a B&B near the entrance of the scenic area. The price is very expensive, more than 800 yuan per room, but it is very close to the scenic area and convenient for eating.

After entering the Xizha Scenic Area, there is a free ferry that takes you directly to the other side. If you don’t take the ferry, you can also walk around the river for about fifteen minutes to reach the other side. You can see the Wuzhen Grand Theater along the way, so we chose not to queue up for the free ferry and walk into the main scenic area.

The main scenic area is actually a street, with a typical Jiangnan water village style. There are a lot of people. There is a tower at the end of the street, and the cruise ship ends here. From here, you can take a boat back to the entrance of the scenic area. This should be a more optimized solution. Of course, you can also take a boat first and then walk back, but don't go to the commercial area. It's mainly in the main scenic area and is accessible on both days.

There are many water towns, but I came only for you. I had too many expectations for the night view, but I was amazed by the service of the Youth Hostel and Wuzhen.

Commercialization is a double-edged sword. It has deprived the tranquility of the water village, but it has also brought the benefits of overall management.

Compared with East Gate, West Gate is more commercialized. But the scenery is also beautiful, especially in the evening. Here, there are old-fashioned projectors playing old movies, and there are many benches below. If you are interested, you can take a look. Maybe my parents' generation has this sentiment. There are some special shops on the street, many of which are the same, but there are also some very special ones. This requires you to have a pair of discerning eyes. The main tourist area is long and narrow. It is recommended to walk on one side when going and on the other side when coming back. If you want to have a better viewing experience, it is recommended to go to West Gate in the late afternoon, one is not hot, and the other is beautiful. You have to take a boat to enter the main scenic spots. There are special boats in West Gate for free pick-up. There is a store selling zongzi in West Gate. According to my friends, the chestnut bone marrow zongzi is really very delicious. I really regret not buying it (my stomach is too full).

The night view of Xizha is really beautiful. You can take photos on the shore or on the bridge. The effect is not so good on the boat because the boat is shaking. When playing at night, I also encountered an open-air movie, which was very familiar. It was a memory of my childhood. Walking further, I heard Pingtan, which felt really good.

2018.09.11, I have been in Beijing for four or five years and have not been to Gubei Water Town. The West Street of Wuzhen is good, but the East Street is just so-so.

Came to Wuzhen in mid-September. Booked a hotel in advance because there were huge flying cockroaches, so we left that night. It was too disgusting. We changed to another hotel, but there were still cockroaches. I really wanted to take the train home. Fortunately, the third hotel was not as good as the first two. The price was about 300 per night. I will only talk about my personal experience in Xizha. I had dinner at Jin'an Private Kitchen. The commercialization in Xizha is very thorough. Most of the merchants in the scenic area sell things that are not very practical or very expensive. This is not as good as Dongzha. The Nongfu Spring they sell is 2.5 yuan per bottle. As a consumption in the scenic area, it is really conscientious. To say that these two scenic spots are just walking around and taking pictures, there is no depth and nothing worth lingering. If you have time, you should still see more natural scenery.

The ticket is 150 yuan, valid for one day, and you can't come out once you enter, but I still think the night view is much better than the daytime! It's much better! The Xizha Scenic Area in Wuzhen is the most worthwhile place to visit.

I stayed in Wuzhen for two days and two nights, first staying at Zitong and then staying at Shuixiang. Outside the window were white walls and black tiles, small bridges and flowing water. It was quite hot during these two days, but before I left, it was blessed with continuous mist and rain, which was like a paradise on earth.

The scenic area here is under unified management, and I am very satisfied with it. The stores do not charge random prices, and the prices are very fair. Some snacks are cheaper than those sold on the street outside. Moreover, the food, drinks, and entertainment items sold in each store are mostly different, and there are few repetitions. I feel that this is really rare. The service attitude of the scenic area staff is also very good. There are more homestays on the West Side, and the East Side is relatively more primitive. If you really want to see Wuzhen, it is best to stay in the scenic area

I got up early and took a photo of Xizha when there were no tourists. For Xizha, staying for 2 nights in a row is a bit long, and the scenic area is not that big. We visited almost every street in Xizha.
