Looking at going to Phuket 2nd week of the school holidays so beginning of October can I get reviews on the weather and if an ok time to visit? We were looking at July but the flight prices are ridiculous
If you like rain, it will be great
Look at the rainfall stats on a weather website to see what you think, and why high season is Dec - March
September and October are historically the two of the wettest months of the year. There'll be periods of sunshine, but it can also rain almost continuously for days on end. Expect beaches to be often "red flagged" (no swimming) due big waves and rips. Everything will be green, hotels cheaper and traffic manageable (which it isn't at the moment).

Simple answer is that you’re likely to get quite a bit of rain in early October - one reason why flight prices are friendlier then.
